you have your Bibles tonight turn back to with me to our opening text this morning Genesis 11 verse number 27 2 Peter 2 and verse number 6 and while you're looking for that let me let me say that U brother Hammond in reference to your 1 cent penny analogy tonight you better hold on to those pennies because the current Administration they may do away with pennies because they say it costs more to make them than they're worth I know something else that it costs more to make than they're worth that's us I hope you get that tonight cuz we're not equal to Calvary it cost him a whole lot more than what you and I are work tonight but I'm so glad he's not going to stop making us because it's worth the investment amen Genesis 11 and 27 now these are the generations of Tia Tia be begat Abram nahor and Heron and Heron begat lot second Peter 2 and6 and turning the cities of Sodom and Mor into ashes condemn them with an overthrow making them an example unto those that after that after and what's amazing is I can understand maybe people not living for God before judgment but woe be to a generation that knows judgment and to those that after should live ungodly and delivered just lot vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked for that righteous man dwelling among them in seeing and hearing vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful Deeds tonight I continue what I began this morning on the Legacy the legacy of lot if you want God to speak to you tonight would you bow your heads and pray with me right now father Lord You've anointed me to preach your word you've anointed me oh God to preach your word to your people Lord I have done what I feel in preparation of study and prayer to be ready to Proclaim your word tonight your lifechanging word your powerful word Lord your word God that brings angels to our side your word Lord that brings healing your word god that repels the enemy from us we command him to get behind us Lord tonight for a few moments if you would anoint my lips of clay Lord I'll give you the praise and give you the honor in Jesus name we all pray tonight and I ask you before you're seated to give God a hand of Praise right now why don't you give him a praise tonight for what he's going to do the Legacy the legacy of lot you may be seated thank you for standing the legacy of lot you know Jesus used two things to talk about the end of time and the second coming he used the generation of Noah and he used the generation of Sodom and gomor or the generation of lot when you place these two together you find out if you were going to be saved you had to get in the ark and if you were going to be spared from the fire of Sodom you had to get out of Sodom and tonight I want to preach with everything I have within me because you need to get in the ark and you need to get out of the world you can't get in the ark till you get out of the world I want to get out of the world so I can get in the ark because it's not a matter of if judgment comes it's when judgment comes just a review of this morning we begin to study the life of lot we told how that his father had died and he was being raised by his grandfather Tia Tia had died faed a lot that he would be raised by his his uncle Abram we know him as Father Abraham we spoke about the instability that this young man lot must have faced we spoke about how God came into his family through his uncle Abraham and lot began to follow Abraham and Abraham became great and became very wealthy lot followed right along right along with his uncle Abraham and they came to a place to where their material things had grown to the size that it was causing strip there was not enough Green Pastures was not enough whales there to feed both Abram's cattle and lot's cattle and Abram gives lot a choice to choose whichever direction that he wants to go in to choose whichever direction that he wants to go in and whatever direction that lot would choose Abraham said I'll go the opposite direction we spoke about what a fatal uh decision that lot made and not Consulting with Abraham what a fatal decision a lot of us make when we make directional decisions of our lives and we don't consult with the pastor spiritual authorities in our lives and uh we make them on our own and we make them based on what we see Bible said that he saw the well he saw the well-watered The well-watered Plains of Sodom there he begin to live in this city in this city called Sodom and Gomorrah problem with this city problem with lot was he separated himself from something that was covered by the blessings of God he separated himself from Abraham Abraham had the Covenant of God Abraham had the blessings had the blessings of God and when he separated himself from his uncle Abraham or from the blessings of God he left himself open and vulnerable to the attack of the enemy and thus it took place it was a confederation of kings that got together and they declared that they were going to go down and defeat and uh rap the city of Sodom and gomorra and take the spoils take the material things away and they did that they went down and they took all the material things and they took lot and U his family they take lot and his family captive that's pretty well where I ended this morning with the plea to you to stay in what God has blessed stay in the church stay with the people of God don't ever separate from the church don't ever separate don't ever separate from the from the kingdom from the church from the kingdom from the fellowship because there's protection here there's protection here I believe tonight that there's protection believe there's protection tonight from Spirits that cannot infiltrate our families because we have a covering around us we have a protection around us you see the Bible says in Psalms 34 and7 it says and the angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear Him and deliver them I'm glad to have the angel of the Lord protection Upon Us glad to have his Divine protection Upon Our Lives it's a unique story in the Old Testament 2 Kings chapter 16 unique story there and you read it in its entirety and I'm just going to briefly hit it tonight but the syrians god haters heathens the syrians were wanting to defeat Israel the syrians had quite a large army but the syrians could not defeat Israel because every time the syrians set up an entrapment for Israel somehow or another somehow or another they didn't know how but Israel never sister Koo Israel never walked into their trap not once not twice but three times the king of Syria set a trap and Israel didn't come to the Trap and so finally the king of Syria says he says brother Lawless he says all right he called a cabinet meeting he got all the captains and Generals and he got all the leaders of of Syria to gab he said okay which one of you is a spy which one of you is tipping Israel off to where we're located at where we're going to entrep it which one of you a spy one of the men spoke up he said there's no spies in this room he said there's a man that Israel has there's a prophet that Israel has by the name of Elisha and said Elisha knows what you say in your bed chamber he knows what you're saying that was way back before the day of wire trap trapping all right said he know what you he knows what you say in your bed chamber he said oh he does does he well where's he at right now somebody said I know exactly where he's at he's in the he's in the city of doofan and so the king of Syria ordered a large number of soldiers and horses and chariots and War Machine to totally surround totally surround I like how the story goes it says that in the night they came it's a simple little phrase in the night you ever had a spiritual moment where the sun set on one day and it looked just so fine but oh what the enemy moved in in the night in the night the Chariots rolled in in the night the horses came in the night the soldiers marched in the night they totally surrounded the city of doofan and they were so glad because they were going to entrap the prophet Elisha and they would end they would end Israel's domain over them the next morning Elisha had a little servant boy that would draw the water from the well and the next morning the little servant boy got up to go down to the well to draw water for the master Elisha and when he got up and he looked out he saw the heels that had Soldier to Soldier horse to horse Chariot to Chariot all the way around the city and he cries out and he uses the word alas master that word alas there is the most desperate C cry that you could ever give it's one of the most desperate cries a man could ever could ever give a last Master what shall we do Elisha steps out looks up at the hills he said what are you worried about there's more that be with us I'm going to tell you tonight it's not what you can s it's what you can can't see that ought to put a dance in your feet and a shout in your mouth and a smile on your face if you only walk by what you can see you're all miserable he said what you upset about he said they be more with us than they there is with them I can see that little boy saying one two 50 451 what do you what do you mean the man of God stepped back and he said Lord just open his eyes Lord let open his eyes the Bible said the Lord opened the young man's eyes and he saw the mountains filled with the angels of the Lord with fiery swords in their hand and ready to fight and uh he was just simply letting you know that even when it looks like you're surrounded you're not surrounded to church when it looks like you're going down you're not going down say how you know I'm not going down because if you go down he goes down and the grave the tomb teaches us that you can't keep him down he's going to come up after 72 hours I'm glad to be in the church tonight I I don't care what happens to me I'm not leaving the church got to get in the ark got to get in the ark got to get out of the world it's amazing that when the gospel begins to be recorded the church the position of the church everybody say the position of the church say it again the position of the church that in Romans 8 And1 it begins to tell you where the church is at therefore that there is therefore now no condemnation to them which which are in Christ Jesus can I tell you when you believe on him that's simply a step that gets you in him but when you believe on him you get in Christ Romans 8 and2 for the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death Romans 8:39 nor height nor depth nor any other creature shall be able to separate at us from the love of God which is somebody say it which is in Christ Jesus our lord Romans 125 so we being many are one body in Christ 1 Corinthians 15:19 for if in this life only we have hope in Christ can I tell you Sodom was attacked and conquered and lot's family was taken C because they were not covered they were not covered you don't find Abraham in this condition they're in this condition lot is taken captive because he has joined himself with a group of people that are not covered that's why it is essential it is not important it is essential that you worship and fellowship with people of Truth the Bible says they that worship the father and oh by the way Jesus spoke these words they that worship the father must worship the father in spirit and in truth for the father seek such to worship Him can I tell you that when God roams the roads of Blunt County looking for a place to be worshiped he is going to come to a place that is worshiping him not in half truth not in 3/4 truth not in 99 and a half truth he's looking for a church that is worshiping him in spirit and in truth I'm glad tonight I'll preach it till the day that I die I'll preach the whole truth nothing but the truth so help me God why because that's what God is looking for he's looking for that's the church that is covered people really tell on themselves people really tell on themselves when they make this statement oh brother Carpenter we were having good church till the devil got in and tore it up you just told me one thing it wasn't his church I said it wasn't his church I didn't say the devil couldn't come around but he ain't going to defeat this church because the head of this church the one who shed his blood set up on this rock that's revelation of who Jesus is that's why we make a big deal of the revelation of who Jesus is so y'all y'all just keep on talking about who Jesus is is that all y'all got to talk about that's our foundation and Upon This Rock I will build my church and the Gates of Hell shall not Prevail against it lot you ought to stay associated with truth your hands tied up you watch them tie your wife up maybe watch them take your wife down a different Trail and you wondered what what in the name of God are they doing with my wife and their family you spend a few nights in captivity regretting every moment that you look at the well-watered plains of Jordan but all of a sudden in the rustling of the bushes it's 34 men that old father Abraham has put together and they come in the night and they rescue and they recover lot and every piece of thread that the syrians had taken and they bring lot back and they meet a man called mil MDC and they meet a man called MDC which is an Old Testament type of Jesus Christ he's both priest of the most high God and he's the king of Salem and you couldn't be in that day you could not be a king and a priest you either had to be a priest or a king but you couldn't be both because there was only one that was going to be both King Authority and priest intercessor and that was when God would become flesh and live on this Earth lot watches Abraham give tithe to MDC God W lot watches Abraham he watches Abraham receive wine and bread communion from MDC he watches all of this he's recovered everything wouldn't the story read wouldn't the story read that at that time lot said Abraham I've learned my lesson oh Abraham I've learned my lesson of making bad decisions oh Abraham I I I I'm I'm going to go with you Abraham I but lo and behold Church where did lot go back to he went right back to the very City that he had been taken captive in you see here's the problem with making bad decisions if you don't recognize and correct bad decisions bad decisions lead to worse decisions because it was a bad decision to go to S but the second decision to go back was worse because now you know it's not covered I wonder how long people are going to stop going back to the world I wonder how long people are going to have to get taken captive and have Abraham the church arm The Prayer Warriors and the intercessors and we get together and we bring you back into the church how long is going to take for you to realize it ain't out there lot why did you go back to Sodom when you had been brought out I'm I'm just here to tell you tonight this world is not my home and I am only passing through this world is temporal this world is temporary this world is nothing but a vapor it's just a gasp of time we are headed to Eternity we are headed to judgment we are headed to this world going through a tribulation such it's never been but I got news for you tonight I'm not going to go to the tribulation how do you know that I'm going to get in the ark and I'm going to get out of the world if you want goes back to Sodom and a few chapters later a few chapters later God has a conversation with Abraham I'm going destroy Sodom and Gomorrah going to rain fire and brimstone The Cry of the wickedness of their sin the perversion of their sin is a stench in manous I'm going to destroy these two cities I'm going to destroy them I'm going to send I'm not going to wait for them to go to hell I'm not going to wait for them to be cast in the pit of Hell I'm going to bring hell to the Earth I'm going to bring in the form of fire and brimstone and Abraham begins to intercede Abraham begins to pray he says God if you find 50 people y y'all read the story before if you find 50 people God would you spare that City for 50 people God said ' if I find 50 I'll spare he said oh God let me speak again and he goes all the way down 50 40 30 35 20 he goes all the way down he says God let me speak one last time and he said if you could just find 10 would you spare the city for 10 can I tell you something when people want to keep going back out to the world yes you can get people back in the church I think you ought to be friendly I think you ought to be friendly and I think you to smile I think you ought to speak to prodical I think you ought to do everything that you can but you do understand that after your friendliness has brought them back a time or two and always be friendly to him Abraham went and got him the first time but the second time he tried to pray him out and he did pray him out that's why the best thing we can do for our prodal children or our prodical from our church is pray pray pray never stop pray for them pray intercede pray intercede two angels come to Sodom this is in the 19th Chapter two angels come to Sodom they find lot evidently lot is entered into the leadership of Sodom he sets in the gates that's where the leaders would sit as these two angels come into the city of Sodom lot recognizes these angels lot recognizes maybe he's seen them before in Abraham's tent but he recognizes these two angels he stands up and give them reverence he recognizes who they are he immediately he immediately tries to get them off of the perverted streets of Sodom and into his home of protection but someone saw them he pulls them into the house and he prepares a meal for them but before they lay down the men of the city surround the house the perverted men assaulted the house of lot lot steps out a lot of this is is beyond what I can imagine but lot squeezes out of the front door and he begins to talk to the sexually perverted he says to them because they say plainly at the beginning bring those two men out that we may know them this word know is a sexual is a sexual con connotation that we want to have a sexual relationship with them of which lot Rejects and says oh let me bring this is where this blows my mind let me bring my two virgin daughters that have never known a man let me bring them out to you and you do to them as you please can I tell you that when you live in the wrong environment you can get some whacked up standards in your life thank God that we're in a church that up is up and down is down good is good and evil is evil thank God that we're in a church that we've got a standard of a value system we value our children we love our children we want them to get the baptism of the Holy Ghost we rejoice when they get baptized in Jesus name not loed a wrong environment giving him the wrong set of Standards I'll bring my two daughters out they said no they said you either bring them out or we'll deal worse with you one of the angels on the inside saw that lot was not making any headwind and so he goes out and he pulls lot back into the house and then the Bible says that the power of God that resided in the angels that one of the Angels smoked all the men that were around the house with blindness they were unable to see but you see perversion has a tenacity perversion has a tenacity it would be enough to get sm smitten with blindness it would be enough to stand there in your perverted ways but all of a sudden a power comes over you and you lose your natural ability to see but the Bible injects there and says and yet they wearied themselves to find the door see we living in a world today that judgment has not woke them up that in the midst of all kinds of sexually transmitted diseases they still want to maintain their perverted sexual ual way of living even though they've been smitten with blindness they wearied themselves to find the door the Angels didn't tell lot their mission lot God is going to send fire and brimstone upon this city and we have come to live to live to deliver you and your family do you have any here besides your wife and your daughters do you have any son-in-laws do you have any sons if if you do it's night go get them awake go wake them up go tell them to get ready because in the morning judgment's coming and the Bible says that lot went out and he knocked on the door this is in Genesis 19 and verse number number 14 and it says and lot went out and spake unto his sons-in-law which married his daughters and said up get you out of this place for the Lord will destroy this city but he sing as one that mocked unto his sons in-law can I tell you this evening I want to be a leader of my family and I want to be a leader of the church then when I start talking about the coming of the Lord that you don't look at me and say what are you trying to be spiritual you know you've never talked this way before you know you've never acted this way before why you're more important you're you're you're you're you're you're more interested in telling us the size of your bass boat or how much you paid for your four-wheeler or or where the last place you bought a dress at or the last soap opera you washed or the last this or the last that can I tell you something tonight I don't want to be a leader that when it comes time to get my family out of this place that my family looks at me and says oh Dad you're just on a kick right now I'm here to tell you Church the Lord is coming you better be in the church and out of the world that's the only way you're going to escape fire and judgment you better be out of this world oh let me Rush on let me Rush on the next morning verse 15 and when the morning arose Genesis 19 and when the morning arose and when the morning arose the Angels hastened lot saying arise take thy wife my two daughters which are here lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city the angels are St them up these angels could I liken them to the pastor could I liken them to the men that come in this pull pit could I liken them to the can I liken them to the Chad Erics and the Nolan carpenters and the Zach Hammond and the Taylor fish can I liken them to men that get up here and stir said that's what this is all about sister Paula the ministry is all about stirring you up it's all about stirring you up if you don't want to get stirred up you don't want to get stirred up well I I going say that cuz it a going to sound good going to say if you don't want to get stirred up don't come to church but come to church anyway cuz maybe you'll get stirred up maybe something will stir you up but I'm here to tell you every time we meet together and preach the word of God we going to scare you up and the angels got up in the morning said hey hey hey hey hey hey hey you got to Hast got to get up got got to get up got to get up verse number 16 says in verse number 16 see if we can identify with this and while he lingered oh friend we got to understand it's time to get out of the world don't linger don't don't don't Luder around the world and while he lingered the men laid hold upon his hand and upon the hand of his wife and upon the hand of his two daughters the Lord being merciful unto him and they brought him forth and set him without the city I'm going to tell you something you you better thank God for for a Ministry that'll come out and get you by the hand you better thank God for a Ministry that won't be settled that you're just here I'm not happy that some folks are just here I'm not going to be happy till you're sold out out of the world and in the church you see you can be in this Sanctuary but not be in the church you can be in this sanctuary and still be in the world and I'm not going to be happy not to just preacher you better be thankful I'm just here I am thankful that you're here but I'm going to tell you something I'm going to come get you by the hand and I'm going to come and say Hey listen we got to get you stirred up cuz I got to get you out of this world and I got to get you in the church I got to get you in the ark I got to get you I got to stir you up got stir you up got stir you up we ain't going to let you live like the devil we ain't going to let you live like we we'll be a bunch of phonies we're a bunch of frauds to Let the Church live like the devil and tell you you're going to heaven we got to stir you up we got we got to get you stirred up I'm I'm not going to preach much longer I'm not going to preach much longer I bet musicians coming to play something for me would you please the Angels came and did what they were to do they came in verse number 16 they took them by the hand the Bible says at the end of verse 16 and set him without the city that's interesting and it came to pass when they had brought them forth abroad that the angel said Escape for my life look not behind thee neither stay down all the plain escape to the mountain lest thou be consumed can I tell you something tonight somewhere on your journey you got to get the baptism of I'm personally responsible for my soul if they had stayed at the Gate of the city they would have died but God said here's your job Angels here's your job Ministry get them out but it's their job to go out salvation will get you out but it's your job to go out I believe this is a scripture We Don't Preach enough from acts 238 we preach acts 238 repent be baptized get the Holy Ghost for the promise is unto you we preach all that to your children but we' missed this one thing save yourselves from this uncored generation don't you be satisfied that you got a preacher that'll take you by the hand you got to get a baptism of I'm coming out you got to get a baptism I'm getting out you see you ain't going to make it if you got to have a preacher to get you by the hand you're not going to make it if you got to have a cheerleader you're not going to make it if you got you got to get a baptism of I'm coming out I wish somebody shout I'm coming out I wish you shout I'm coming out s up to you slept up to you you're here we've done everything we could do Bible said that lot and his wife and his two daughters took off took off to a little city the Bible says when they reach the city fire be to fall but it says in Lot's wife look back of everything about this story Jesus would tell us about he told us us he told us a whole sermon in one little verse he simply said in the New Testament remember Lot's wife what's to remember about her her body was out of Sodom but but her heart was still there you better not only just come out of the world but you better get your heart out of the world you better get your heart out of the world it's not good enough just to sing gospel here at church you need to be singing gospel all the time it's not good enough just to dress right when you come to church you need to dress right all the time it's not good enough just to look like the church on Sunday and Wednesday you got to get it in your heart that you look like the church Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday and Saturday I'm I'm out of this world and the world is out of me come on stand with me tonight say want BL car that side that's a horrible way to end a story well his wife turns into a pillar of salt but he gets worse now cuz he gets in a cave with two daughters that have the morals of an alleycat you can't raise your children in the world and expect them to have good morals you can't raise them in front of a television you can't raise them instead of and and you can't raise your children in front of the television with nudity and cursing and all of that and expect they're going to grow up to have good mors not going to happen them two two girls have got the morals of Sodom let me show it to you they got up there in that cave with their father and they said hey there's not a man alive on the earth and there's no one there's no one that we can bring seed no way we can ever give birth unless we lay with our own father the Bible said they got him drunk I I know the is it's so far-fetched when you read this they got their own father drunk so drunk that the Bible says he didn't know when the first daughter came in and slept with him and he didn't know when she left the second daughter got him drunk the next night it's I I know some of y'all look at me like second daughter got him drunk the next night the same thing both girls conceived by their own father the first group of people were called moabites the second group of people that came were called ammonites both of these people especially the ammonites were a thorn in the S of Israel all the days of Israel's life but the moabites although they were a foreign although they were re for there was something about the moabit you you see tonight oh God help me the Bible says and God remembered Abraham and sent lot out of Sodom God remembers the righteous that comes to deliver the seed of the righteous can I tell you tonight can I tell you tonight that I met a beautiful beautiful young lady little family over here this morning that I preached their grandmother's funeral she was a holy woman of God she was a woman that believed this truth and many years ago I preached her funeral but her children never stayed around the church but a few weeks ago something began to come alive in that woman's heart and she be to say we got to get home we got to get home she said that's what kept coming to my mind I got to get home I got to get home I got to get home and last Sunday she found her way back to faac Maryville and today she stood over there trembling and praying and crying you said oh she's she look what she's doing I beg to differ with you right now I believe that her blessed grandmother that's already in the graveyard and never and and is already dead in the grave her prayers are alive her prayers are alive they're alive they're alive alive we ain't going to end on a negative note right now man it looks terrible it looks terrible moabites and ammonites but a few hundred years down the road there was a little mo bite that some some descendant of Abraham came into their town and this descendant of Abraham married this little moabit woman by the name of Ruth and somehow Ruth that although she was a moabit somehow she saw something in the seat of Abraham and she said to Naomi where you go I will go and where you lie I will lie and where you die I'll die and where you are buried I'll be buried and your God shall be my God can I tell you tonight Ruth just so happened to get in The Descendant line well let me let me read it tonight you're you're standing thank you so your life is God can turn it around God can turn it around God can turn it around in Christ there is Deliverance in Christ there is freedom in Christ there is joy in Christ there is peace in Christ there is contentment you're not hopeless you're not hopeless you're not hopeless you're not hopeless you're not hopeless somewhere in your family tree somebody's prayed for you somebody's got prayer for you you're not hopeless there's chance for you there's hope for you there's peace for you he's here tonight he can turn it around he can give you an oit he can give you a Jessie he can give you a David please excuse me please excuse me tonight as this comes to my mind I just got to speak it out but there's some here right now you're trying to enjoy the world and you can't enjoy the world because somewhere in a graveyard here in the USA is a grandparent or a great grandparent that prayed prayers over you that CED you when you were 6 weeks old and prayed a prayer over you and God looks down the Bible says and God remembered Abraham and he delivered lot and it says and God remembers your great grandparents and God won't let you be happy at happy hour and God won't let you be happy with all your stuff because there is I'll close with this I'll close with this the genealogy of God in flesh is found in Matthew chapter 1 and verse 5 could you just lift up your hands for a moment and Worship the Lord for a moment ah I believe we can do a little better than that na me kerson you didn't live to see it on this Earth you knew your boy Jeff you knew your son Jeff was in trouble spiritually that's why on your deathbed you told your daughter Sandra Ammons you told your daughter Sandra make sure Jeff makes it make sure Jeff makes it and I want you to know know that God on his masterful time clock saw that Jeff's days were coming to a close and God's spirit began to fall on Jeff and Jeff made his way here to this church and Jeff prayed back through to the Holy Ghost and Jeff began to live for God and Jeff lived for God for many months and finally death came and took him can I tell you something I believe that God remembered Naomi and God delivered Jeff I believe that God remembered me let me give you the genealogy of Jesus Christ in case in case there's people here tonight think your your case is too hard genealogy of Jesus Christ Matthew 1 and5 and Solon beget
