you welcome the presence of the Lord here this evening and we see several guests that are here with us on this beautiful Wednesday evening and we'd like to put our hands together right now and welcome you to First Apostolic church it's so good to have you so good to have you First Apostolic with us pray that you feel the wonderful presence of God turn with me in your Bibles to the Book of Exodus the book of Exodus chapter 26 and verse number 33 Exodus chapter 26 and verse number 33 we're going to read verse 33 and verse 34. pertaining to the Tabernacle the place where God dwelt in the Old Testament and we begin in verse number 33. and thou shalt hang up the Veil under the tattoos that thou mayest bring in thither within the Veil the Ark of the testimony and the veil shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy the veil would divide between the holy place and the Most Holy Verse 34. and thou shalt Put The Mercy Seat upon the Ark of the testimony in the most holy place the most the most holy place the most holy place Luke 11 and verse 1. Luke 11 and verse 1. and he came to pass that as he was praying in a certain place when he seized one of his disciples said unto him Lord teach us to pray as John also taught his disciples and he said unto them when you pray say Our Father which art in heaven Hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done as in heaven so on Earth give us day by day our daily bread and forgive us our sins we also forgive everyone that is indebted to us lead us not into temptation but Deliver Us from evil I want to check my text I want to take my title tonight from Exodus 26 34 in those last few words of that verse I want to minister tonight in reference to prayer the most holy place the most holy place if you put your Bibles down tonight would you pray for your man of God would you pray for yourself tonight that we receive the word of the Lord father God it is only by your word that we're changed God it is only by Your Word Lord that we're changed into your image Lord tonight all over this building Lord I pray that you would move and God let us receive god with meekness the engrafted word Lord which is able to save our souls Lord Jesus I pray tonight God that you would allow this word to answer questions that are in people's minds tonight Lord help us to comprehend the subject of prayer Lord help us God to understand that prayer is for everyone Lord we'll give you that praise this evening in Jesus wonderful name we pray amen and amen you may be seated tonight when we read about that Tabernacle about that Tabernacle in the wilderness that meeting place of God and I sent a couple of pictures uh photos of that Tabernacle that that place in the Old Testament that God told them exactly exactly how to build what's referred to as the Tabernacle or tent the Tabernacle a testimony or the Tabernacle in the wilderness and as we see the outline there on the screen we see that first piece of furniture which is the brass Altar and the place of the shedding of blood the place where animals died we see the the brass labor and that's the place where the priest would wash and then as we go on we go into we go into the tent this is covered it is a two-room tent this tent when you walk in the door of this tent directly in front you notice there is a partition and this partition is the veil you will notice that this directly pushed up against the veil was a small Altar for burning incense there to your right would be a table with 12 loaves of bread that were that were freshly delivered there one loaf of bread representing each tribe of Israel to the far to the far excuse me to the far left would be the Candlestick that was so essential because when you stepped inside of the tent when you stepped inside of a tent you didn't have the natural sunlight now you needed this light and the light from the Candlestick lit up the room as the priest would move through the veil that was there the partition on the day of atonement with a small vial of blood to sprinkle it upon the lid The Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant they're one room that has the table of shoe bread has the lamp and has the incense altar is simply called is simply called The Holy place it's called The Holy place but when the man stepped into when he stepped into the presence of the Ark of the Covenant the name changes to the most holy place now it is it is it is made the difference it is called the most holy place because of exactly God's presence being there God's presence makes the the holy place the holy place that has things there lamps and altars of incense and tables of shoe bread but that's just the holy place on the other side of that Veil where God's presence itself dwells where God himself dwells Above The Mercy Seat in between the Cherub Wings it is called it is called the most holy place because that's where God is the most holy place now I go to Luke chapter 11 and verse number one as Jesus was praying and I don't think it's a coincidence that Luke would record in verse number one and it came to pass that as he was praying in a certain place and I believe that that is so important we'll bring it out in just a few moments as we make our way through the writer Luke could have simply just said as he was praying as he was praying and when he ceased one of the disciples said teach us to pray but Luke makes special note that it was a certain it was a certain place when he was finished praying the disciple came to him the the disciple is unnamed and I believe that that's even for a purpose had the disciples name been revealed we may have the tendency to preach more about the disciple that wanted to know about prayer then prayer itself we may have had the tendency to have the uh we may have put as the old proverbial saying is we may have put the cart before the horse we may have only been talking about the disciple that wanted to know about prayer but the Bible leaves this disciple unnamed but his request is known he speaks for the whole group notice the disciple doesn't say teach me to pray notice that with me in verse number 2 I believe it is or verse number one notice the disciple doesn't say teach me to pray he uses and becomes a spokesman for all of the disciples he says Lord teach us to pray and of course the Lord so graciously so graciously so graciously answering the petition he so graciously answered and said well When you pray When you pray I want you to say our father Who Art in Heaven now I believe that he said when you pray because at that time it wasn't that the disciples never prayed because we do have we do have record of them praying they couldn't stay awake long but we do have record we do have record of them of them praying but I don't really believe they prayed I don't really believe that what Jesus is referring to here is the now I believe when he said when you pray that he was talking about that time that he would no longer be visible he would no longer be walking beside them down the dusty roads he would no longer be sitting at the table I believe that he was referring to a time that he would Ascend into heaven and visibly be gone from them visibly be gone and he refers to this time when you cannot see him with your sin you cannot see him in the natural you are going to pray he said I want you to pray and of course when he taught the Beatitudes he changed everything about prayer he changed everything about prayer up to this time people came and kneeled before God because he was the creator he was the creator of Heaven and Earth he was powerful he controlled nature he was The God That Could set the top of Sinai on fire he could Rumble with earthquakes he could blow with the wind he he was the god of power and so so before this time people came before their creator they came before their powerful God but in the Beatitudes Jesus changed it all when he began to tell them you're not going to pray because I am the powerful Creator you're not going to pray because I've created all things you're not going to pray because I control the Sun the moon you're not going to pray because I hold the world in my hand you're going to pray from a different angle you're going to pray based on a relationship you're going to have a relationship with God and that relationship is not going to be creator powerful God that relationship that relationship is going to be based on you becoming born again I'm so thankful for John 3. I'm so thankful for the Born Again experience praise God because when we're born again we become the sons and the daughters of God June 10 1960. they've tore the hospital down now it used to be the old Baptist Hospital in Knoxville but on June 10 1960 John Virgil Carpenter and Ruby Lois Carpenter had a bouncing beautiful baby boy named Kenneth and I my mother and my father I was a son of John Ruby Carpenter but in the month of February 1977 at an altar I was born again I was filled with the baptism of the Holy Ghost I was water baptized in his name and now I become the son of the Living God I become a Son of God I belong I belong I belong to him and so now I'm not coming to God because he shakes mountains I'm not coming to God because he's the Creator and the sustainer of the universe I'm not coming to God because he's powerful beyond all human comprehension I'm coming to God tonight because he is simply my father it's a relationship it's it's my father so prayer is based firmly prayer is based firmly upon upon a relationship we have been born again we are now his sons and his daughters we now have a relationship that when we come he's more to us than a Creator he's more than us than the power of nature he's more to us than the controller of times it's a matter of it's all in tonight do you know the Earth was created for us the Earth was created for us do you know that when God created the Earth he already had the master plan to come to this earth in the form of the one that he had created let's read it John chapter 1 the Gospel of John let's look at some parallels here tonight John the Gospel of John chapter 1 verse number one in the beginning in the beginning is anybody here A Familiar tone in the beginning in the beginning what other book begins what other book begins with the first words in the beginning Genesis so John 1 and 1. in Genesis 1 and 1. there's a parallel here John 1 and 1 in the beginning was the word and the Word was with God and the Word was God the same was in the beginning with God all things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made in the beginning was the what word and the word was with God and the word was God let's go to Genesis 1 and 1. in the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth and the Earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep and the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters and God said everybody say word and God said if I say word God said it's his word his word let there be light and there was light let there be light and there was like I want to look at some parallel some parallel here go back to John 1 and 1 please go back to John 1 and 1 for a moment John 1 and 1 in the beginning was the word the word was with God and the Word was God the same was in the beginning with God all things were made by him by God and without him God was not anything made that was made we all understand that don't we everything was made by who God there wasn't anything that was made that God didn't make it verse number four in him who God in him was life and the light was the light of men the light shineth and darkness and the Darkness comprehended at night it was a man sent from God his name was John the same came for a witness but the same came for witness to Bear witness of the light that all men through him might believe John he was not that light John wasn't that light but was sent to Bear witness of that light that was the True Light the True Light now every time I hear the word true besides something that is God I always think of the opposite false and we need to understand by studying the word of God that we're following the True Light that was the True Light which lighteth every man that cometh into the world he was in the world who was God he was in the world and the world was made by him and the world knew him not look at how this plays out the Creator was in the world the world was made by him but the world knew him not verse 11. he came unto his own it's the Jewish Nation and his own received him not but as many as received him to them gave he power to become the what sons of God even to them that believe on his name which were born they had a birth they had a new birth not a blood not in a Jewish lineage bloodline nor of the will of the flesh no man willed himself born again nor of the will of man but of God and here's The Clincher verse 14. and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory the glory as of the only begotten of the father full of grace and truth now let's look at the parallel Jesus said I am the light of this world I am the light of this world in Genesis 1. God begins his creative act in the dark the Bible says that God created the heavens and the Earth and darkness was upon the face of the deep what was the first creative act that God said and he spoke it with his word what was the first creative act let there be light why it's Darkness it's dark and God brings light into the darkness of the Earth but that's not the first time that he begins in the dark when Jesus Christ was born when Jesus Christ was born of any time he could be born think about it what would we preach if he had been born in High Noon amen what would we preach if he had been born in the brightness of the day but he was not born in the brightness of the day no follow me in Luke Chapter 2 and verse number eight and I do believe there is spiritual significance in these verses Luke Chapter 2 and verse number eight and there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field keeping watch over their flocks by night I don't believe it's a coincidence that God begins in Genesis 1 1 in the dark and God says let there be light and there was light and when Jesus Christ God robed in flesh was birthed into this world he chose the darkness of the night to let the light begin to shine to let that light begin to shine let's give him praise right now thank God for that light there's no life without light I thank God for the life of Jesus Christ oh something happened when he was born in that bethlehem's manger in verse number eight look at verse number nine and lo the angel of the Lord came upon the Shepherds and the glory of the Lord Shone round about them and they were so afraid and the angel said unto them the Shepherds fear not for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all people for unto you is Born This Day in the city of David a savior which is Christ the lord and this shall be a sign unto you you shall find the bait wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a Manger but don't don't leave me yet now and suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the Heavenly Host praising God and saying glory to God in the highest and on Earth peace Good Will toward men when Jesus Christ was born into this world the Angels Rejoice the Angels begin to to Rejoice but there's a parallel to this do you know that in Job chapter 38 verse number 4 it holds back it shows us a little peek into creation Genesis 1 and 1 in Job chapter 38 and verse 4. there's a little peek into Genesis 1 and it says God says to job where was thou when I lay the foundation of the earth declare if thou Hast understanding who hath laid the measures there and tell me how deep the foundations are job if thou knowest or who have stretched the line upon it whereupon are the foundations thereof fashioned and who laid the Cornerstone but watch what happened when the morning Stars sang together and all the sons of God which are the Angels shouted for Joy can I tell you what happened in Genesis 1 1 it's not recorded there but sister Rhonda in Genesis 1 1 when God was saying let there be light and there was light and God says let the waters be divided and they were divided and let the heavens appear and let the plant life appear let fish and fowl and animals and let man come forth let us make man in our own image can I tell you what Genesis 1 1 doesn't record the angels are doing somersaults there the angels are in awe and the angels are praising God oh God look at the light God look at the earth look at all this but this wouldn't be the only time they would Rejoice that night when God became man and God was birthed into this world the angels turned back and once again the Angels begin to rejoice and the angels begin to come on if you're so thankful that you have a relationship with God our Father right now he is he is our father oh come on praise him right now if the Angels who haven't been redeemed can praise creation oh yes you see this is the difference this is the difference you see science tries to figure out creation minus of the creator you'll never understand creation minus the knowledge of the creator and that's what's different than the church we understand our creator and we understand that creation was simply the stage that God could do his finest work oh Hallelujah let's look at Colossians chapter 1 and verse 16. the Earth the power of the oceans the tides the solar systems then the telescopes that tell us they they talk in light years and and that's a term that that's a term that we can't even fathom with our minds a light year light travels uh uh fast all right I think uh 186 000 miles per second I can't even light travels 186 000 miles per second all right and they talk about light years telescopes that can and they'll say this star and this planet is so many light years away and in those seconds turn into minutes and minutes turned into hours and all that you'd finally get there so vast so vast creation so fast but it was all created so that our God could Road himself with this substance here called flesh and display the greatest love that could ever be displayed when the holy God would lay down his life for us Unholy people that we might become the sons of God I I just I'm just overwhelmed tonight let me tell you about creation Colossians Colossians chapter in all my years of preaching I've never asked my wife to bring me a Kleenex but I may have to clean it what a God can we just praise him for a moment when I think about the Lord how he saved me how he raised me can he healed me with the Holy Ghost when I think about the Lord I think about the solar systems in the Grand Canyons and the marvels of Nature and understand it was nothing to do with that but it was all for a God to come down and say I'll become one of them oh come on let's we gotta Praise Him Colossians chapter one verse 16. for by him were all things created that are in heaven and that are in Earth visible invisible whether there be Thrones or dominions or principalities or Powers catch this please all things were created by him and for him and he is before all things and by him all things consist are you getting the picture tonight we're not here based on evolution we're not the product of a cosmic Collision not the product of a big bang somewhere you're the product of a holy God that had a master plan and said I'll create it I'll create it for me I'll create it and then I'll become one of the creatures so that I can display Revelation 4 Revelation 4 and 11. let's listen to the angels Revelation 4 11 Thou Art Worthy O Lord to receive Glory and honor and Power for thou Hast created and for thy they are and were created if everything was made for God's pleasure I ask us all a question tonight have we been given God pleasure I ask you tonight if all things if we were made for his pleasure have we been pleasing him oh I think I can say something right now you better believe when it was an empty parking lot when it was an empty parking lot at six o'clock when the daycare was closed there was an empty parking lot but about six o'clock here come cars in and 6 30 and 7 o'clock and the parking lot begins to fill up and all of a sudden people got off work and people came right to church some of us have not even had supper yet some are still tired some maybe even have their work boots still on but you knew it's Wednesday night it's time to go to the house of God it's time to give praise and honor to God it's time to hear the word of God I just believe there's a God in heaven tonight that's saying I take pleasure in that I took pleasure in every note on the keyboard I took pleasure of every praise singer I took pleasure of all I'm just asking you tonight are we giving God pleasure now I want you to listen for just a few moments I know you've heard these passages in scripture at a funeral but I'm on a kind of straighten these passages out and help us tonight in John chapter 14 and verse number one Jesus said let not your heart be troubled you believe in God believe also in me in my father's house are many mansions if it were not so I would have told you I go to prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place for you I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am there ye may be also now I want to ask you a simple question and I think you all know the answer tonight but anywhere Jesus is the most holy place anywhere he is this is a holy place until he shows up and when he shows up it becomes the the most holy place now let me help us out tonight let me let me help us out tonight I know that we've all heard you know he lived 2000 years ago to go build mansions and oh if he he created the Earth in six days and how beautiful it is he's been gone two thousand years oh what heaven must be like there's one issue with that he didn't say I'm going away to Bill Mansions he said in my father's house are many mansions they're already there but what he says he needs to go do is to prepare a place for us that where he is there we may be also this place is a place in the presence of God that Adam forfeited and was expelled from and man could never get back into the most holy place of God God no longer dwelt and walked with Adam the way that he had he had before the fall so Jesus is talking about a place in heaven that we can go now in prayer in prayer we can go now now that there is a mediator before Christ died on the cross before Christ suffered bled died and became our substitute we had no place in heaven we had no right we could not get into that place I mean follow along in scripture watch this come to life Hebrews chapter 4 verse number 14. listen to Listen to Paul Hebrews 4 14. seeing then that we have a great high priest that is passed into the heavenlies Jesus the son of God let us hold fast firm our our profession for we have followed closely please for we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities but it was an always tempted like as we like as we are yet without sin look at verse 16 because we have this high priest now let us therefore let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find Grace strength to help in the time of need because of Jesus Christ we have a place our faith in him gives us a spiritual right as Sons and Daughters of God what right what right have you to come into the presence of God I've been waiting for you to ask me that tonight I'll go ahead and tell you I have the right because I am a son of God by relationship by New Birth I'm understanding it is a father-son relationship now let's be let's be transparently let's just be transparent right now they're selling these little coupon booklets for the school and it's one of the greatest fundraisers one of the greatest fundraisers they do for the for the Christian school now I'm going to tell you one of your children or grandchildren could have come and should Pastor will you buy a book for me I might have squeezed out one all right but today oh okay I'm gonna send my kids to you better knock that Halo dust off your shoulders all right we'll send my kids to you your kids come to me I might I might ink out one all right but that'd be about the extent why come on now because they're your kids they're not mine all right I'm not oh Lord I didn't run I know shall We Stand I mean I didn't ruin this whole thing right now I want to tell you today if you're a kid or grandkid would have just walked into my bedroom today am I sitting in this chair study they just walked in I would have said I excuse me excuse me did you knock on the front door and if you did how come you come through my bedroom door the doors were shut excuse me you see as a little fellow come come today he didn't ring no doorbell he had a whole handful of whole bag of them had ten of them in there all right he didn't ring no doorbell he didn't knock on no bedroom door the next thing I knew sister Becky he's standing right there where I'm studying saying Papa would you buy a book and he so moved me now I just I'm just being I'm just telling you like it is I had a hundred dollars tucked back in my billfold for a rainy day and you know I just got out that hundred dollar bill and I said give me all 10 of them and I just hand it to him you know why I did that it's my grandson it's a different relationship now if we could ever understand that when we are born again that we've got more than just a little tongue talking and we got more than just a little wet up here we became the sons and the daughters of God and he said let us come boldly into the throne that we can find Grace to help Jesus I now Belong To You Lord I wish you get some of this in you tonight First Timothy two fives may say praise the Lord I'm out of money kids First Timothy 2 5. for there is how many gods and there he is one between who is that mediator who the the what the man Christ Jesus he is that one mediator all hell the power of Jesus name if we can just ever learn how to exalt Jesus Christ he is our mediator he is our mediator is a go-between it's to go between look at look at this in John 14 6 John 14 6. listen to Jesus speak John 14 6 Jesus saith unto him I am the the and the no cometh ain't no man can come into the father but by who but by Jesus Christ no man can come unto the father except through Jesus Christ no no man can come except by me Ephesians one and three I know it's a lot of Bible tonight but I want to I just want to show you this place this Most Holy place of prayer Ephesians 1 and 3. blessed be the god and father of our Lord Jesus Christ who had blessed us with all spiritual blessings in Heavenly what places in Christ Ephesians 1 and 20. which he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead and set him at his own right hand in the Heavenly and I'm really playing on this word heavenly places Ephesians 2 6 and this is what's going to bring it all together Ephesians 2 6. and hath raised us up together because he rose again We rise again we who were dead in our trespasses and sins dead to God dead Delight dead in our trespasses and sins because he died on the cross and because he rose from the dead and because he ascended into heaven through him and him alone only Jesus can Deliver Us From The Power of sin only he can truly reborn us rebirth us a lot of people have religion which is trying to reform man but when you have salvation you are becoming born again only he can raise us from the dead only he can raise us that's why you ought to worship Jesus that's why you ought to think about Jesus that's why you ought to read about Jesus that's why you ought to pray to Jesus oh Ephesians 2 and 6. and hath raised us I wish you'd say us and hath raised us up together and made us sit together in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus can I tell you what happens to us when we learn how to pray is that we Ascend far above the building or the room that we're in when we begin to call on the name of Jesus Our Father who art in heaven Hallowed be thy name something mysterious happens I have been made to sit in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus anybody else ever had this happen drag into the prayer room the weight of life is upon you the weight of trouble is upon you it's got your shoulders beat down it's got your head beat down but you can just have a little talk with Jesus you can begin to tell him all about your troubles he will hear your painless cry and he will answer mine by you don't get a phone call in the prayer no body slips you a note and tells you things change but all of a sudden you bounce up from prayer your shoulders are back you're gonna live again because you've been made this I wish somebody would hardly get in Praise I wish somebody would just stake yourself and give him praise tonight come on get him praise tonight ah give him praise tonight I'm gonna go so fast for the next few minutes it's going to row your socks up and down like a window shade all right so let's be seated I'm gonna go so fast prayer is based on relationship not the length of time you spend in prayer prayer is not based on how long you pray ER is based on two things your relationship and are you praying will of God prayers not grocery list prayers will of God prayers it's God's will to save every family member are you praying that prayer it's God's will that you make it are you praying that prayer I don't know if it's God's will to give you that job back God knows further down the road than I do I don't know if it's God's will for you to do this or do that but there's some God there's some will of God prayers that I know that God's going to answer God saved my family God help me to be right with you God make a way for me to give commissions make a way for me to be a blessed that those are will of God get out of your mind get out of your mind get out of your mind some people never pray because they have this erroneous belief that unless they can spend four hours like somebody else or two and I'm not knocking any of that I'm not knocking that I'm not knocking that but I will tell you this Matthew 6 and 7 Matthew chapter 6 verse 7 listen to Jesus Matthew 6 and verse 7. but when you pray use not vain repetitions that's saying the same thing over and over and over again as the Heathen do for they think that they shall be heard for their they think God's going to hear them because they stayed there a long time God hears you based on two things relationship and are you praying will of God prayers that's the way that God hears you you want to talk about some quick prayers Second Kings 6 17 second Kings chapter 6 verse 17 quick prayers and Elisha prayed and said Lord I pray thee somebody somebody I had sister Johnstone do it last night no you got a timer on your phone time time this prayer all right when I say Lord push the seconds all right Lord I pray thee open his eyes that he may see three and a half seconds that's a three and a half you can't touch God in three and a half seconds no you can't and said Lord I pray he opened his eyes that he may see oh you can't yeah God wouldn't hear on three and a half second prayer and the Lord opened his eyes and the young man and he saw I tell you God God answered a three and a half second prayer man I don't want to cry now I want to go to running the eyes can I tell you tonight the enemy would like to beat you down to never start praying because she's gonna pray an hour when God's saying if you just pray a few seconds and it be in my will I would begin to answer some prayer come on Nolan keep that put it back to zero but I'll tell you when to pray I'll tell you when to push the button all right hadn't rained for three and a half years that's a long time Elisha told him said how long are you between two opinions God be God serve him but they'll be God you know the whole story look at First Kings 18 and verse 36. First Kings 18 verse 36 and it came to pass at the end at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice that Elijah the prophet came near and said push the timer Lord God of Abraham Isaac and of Israel let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel and that I am thy servant and that I have done all these things at Thy word Hear Me O Lord hear me that this people may know that thou art the Lord God that thou Hast turned their hearts back again stop it right there how many seconds 19 a little bit more I couldn't hear a 19 second prayer well I guess he did then the fire of the Lord's pale and consumed the burnt offering if God should hear a three second prayer and open some eyes and if God could hear a 19 second prayer and send some fire down will he not do it again let me end this tonight I can tell you brother Peter prayed just a short prayer a woman got up came back to life Jesus prayed a short prayer Lazarus come forth and he came back to life will of God prayers will of God prayers you know maybe a lot of people give up on praying because they don't get their prayers answered maybe we really need to examine and ask God are we praying will of God prayers I pray to get that job it didn't happen I just give up on prayer maybe it wasn't God's will if you had that job let me turn this let me turn this John 18. John chapter 18 verse 1. when Jesus had spoken these words he went forth with his disciples over the brook kidwin where was a garden into the which he entered and his disciples he goes there to pray I believe now let me connect that first you first verse that I read Luke 11 1. when he was praying in a certain place I believe with all my heart that that certain place was this Garden right here and I'll show you why it says when Jesus had spoken these words he went forth with with his disciples over the brook Kidron where was a guarded into the witch he entered and his disciples and Judas also which betrayed him knew the place knew the place for Jesus oftentimes resorted thither with his disciples Jesus of Judas then having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees comethither with lanterns and torches and weapons you cannot tell you something do you know what would be the tragedy of all tragedies is for you to know the place that prayer is performed but never enter the process it's not good enough that you know that church is Wednesday night at 7 30. it's not good enough you know we have churches Sunday morning at 10 o'clock and went Sunday night at six o'clock it's not good enough that you know the place Judas knew the place but he didn't know the purpose please don't soothe your conscience because you're here tonight because that just simply needs that you know the place it's only when you enter the process of Prayer do you know what the place is for because just knowing the place won't change us just knowing the placement changing just knowing juicing it think about it he knew the place how many prayers did you hear Judas how many groanings did you hear how many times did you hear Jesus up around the the stones pray how many times did you see it oh church family tonight please don't be content with just coming and hearing others pray because hearing others pray won't change your life prayer changes the one that doing the praying but just saying I go to a Praying Church man I I I go to that I go to that first episode I go to that First Apostolic church it's a place but man we pray but it only helps if you pray you're only changed when you pray when you understand that relationship with God that's why that's why when we sin we want to be quick to get that sin out of our Lives by confession to our father why because we want to please him we want to please him now again am I right tonight Judas knew what the place he said I know where I I know where he's at I know about what time it is boys come on you want to get him in secret I take you to the tree it's going to be dark it's going to be real dark there I mean we need lanterns there it's going to be dark and as a matter of fact matter of fact I tell you what I can recognize him in the dark I'm accustomed to seeing him in the dark I I I'll kiss his face can I tell you something when you only know the place and not the process you can become crueler more cruel than those that have never known the place there's no more cruel people than people that have been close to the fire but won't get in the fire because people that won't get in become fault finders of those that are in and us that are in have never claimed to be perfect have we but we serve a perfect God I may be flawed and God knows I am and God knows you are tonight we may be flawed but we're flawed as children of the most high God we're we're in we're in the I'm not what I I'm not what I need to be that's why I'm going to prayer make me what I offer oh do you feel my sister arnoni good to have you all home but brother arnone would you not agree with me it'd be cruel just to just to betray Jesus but For Heaven's Sake to betray him with a kiss I mean that goes off the charts doesn't it you it does it I mean it's one thing to sell him out I'll tell you where he's at this time of day he's down there he said down in that that guard and pray and I I know just the stump that he goes dry I know hey winds his way through the through the through the trees there I know just about what favorite spot he uses two roots that grow out to kind of form a good place he can lay his arms down and when I go there it's going to be dark there'll be a lot of men there with him but I'm going to kiss him when I kiss him you think about that Jesus Christ said he was the door Judas is Carrot kiss the door of heaven and turned away and walked to hell Jesus kiss the door and you know what prayer does prayer so conditions Jesus that is able to say friend what you do just you know what are you doing kissed him on the face you see I I again tonight young people and everybody please don't settle that you just came to church tonight because you just know the place close with this I close with this listen to it very closely it's the Book of Ecclesiastes chapter number eight verse number 10 Ecclesiastes chapter number eight verse number 10. Solomon is backslidden Solomon is studying everything from Plants to animals to the Earth to the behavior of man and Solomon in Ecclesiastes 8 and 10 follow this closely he's got his he's got his notepad he's studying the behavior of man and so I saw the wicked buried I attended the burial the funeral of Awakened person and so I saw the wicked buried who had come and gone from the place of the Holy it's one thing to be Wicked it's another thing to come and go from the place that can turn your life around he came and went from a place of the Holy he had opportunity to hear the word of God he had opportunity to be brushed by angel wings he had opportunity to feel the presence of God this Wicked Man simply became satisfied knowing what time church was and when he ought to go to church that his life was never changed he had come and gone from the place of the Holy they were forgotten in the city where they had so done this is Vanity nobody remembered them after the burial verse 11.
