"The Name Of Jesus"

for a few moments today I direct your attention to the book of Philippians chapter 2 verse number six speaking about Jesus Christ who being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God but made himself of no reputation and took upon Him took and took upon him the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men and being found in fashion as a man he humbled himself and became obedient unto death even the death of the Cross wherefor God also hath highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow of things in heaven things in the earth and things under the Earth and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father I want to minister today on this simple topic the name of Jesus the name of Jesus Jesus you may be seated what a name what a name the name of Jesus Matthew 1 and 21 says that the angel of God told Joseph and thou shalt call his name Jesus for he shall save his people from their sins Paul in Philippians tells us of the kind of man the man Christ Jesus was that although he was as much God as he was man and as much man as he was God he thought it not robbery to be equal with God but made him self of no reputation took upon him the form of a servant and became obedient unto death even the death of the Cross God highly highly exalted him how does God highly exalt him he gives him a name which is above every name this name of Jesus if one was in heaven today and someone Cried Out Jesus every Angelic being every Angelic being would give honor to the name of Jesus every angel in heaven would hit their knees at the name of Jesus not only only that but at the name of Jesus all things in Earth will eventually bow their knees to the highly exalted name of Jesus I have went ahead and settled my case out of court because I'm not going to my judgment day and bow my knees there because it'll be too late I decided somebody preached to me the gospel and I decided I'd settle my case out of court I decided I'd cut a deal with the mediator I'd get my sins forgiven and so therefore I go ahead and bow my knees to the name of Jesus angels bow their knees At The Mention Of The Name of Jesus people on Earth that are in Salvation bow their knees to the name of Jesus one day all Humanity will bow their knees to the name of Jesus but it goes on and says all things under the Earth that's the Demonic world that's Satan himself and all of the demons that went with him must bow their knees at the name of Jesus what a name I must preach on his name the angel said Joseph you call his name Jesus Jesus because he's going to save his people from his sin Hebrews 1 and one says God who at Sury time sunry means many God who at sunry times and in diverse manners spake in the the the time passed unto the fathers by the prophets God spake in the past to our fathers by the prophets Paul Paul said God spake in different ways a burning bush he had by himself purged our sins sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high being made so much better than the Angels Jesus was made so much better than the Angels what sets Jesus apart so much better than the angels as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent Name than they what set Jesus apart was not his Humanity what made Jesus better than the Angels was not his Flesh Blood and Bone but what made Jesus better than an angel was that the Angels did not have the name of Jesus and God gave the man Christ he gave him the name of Jesus being made much better than the angels He hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent Name than they but Jesus Jesus the angel pronounces to Mary that the Holy Ghost will overshadow her and that which is in her will be the Son of God and when the Son of God the Flesh of God was birthed in Bethlehem Joseph had already been directed to call his name Jesus Jesus told in John 5:9 Jesus told a paralyzed man laying on a bed he said rise up take your bed and walk the Bible says in John 5 and n and immediately the man was made whole and took up his bed and walked and on the same day was the Sabbath the Jews therefore said unto him that that was cured it is it is the Sabbath day it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed boy that's religion for you isn't it never mind this guy's healed he just broke the limit of carrying a bed on the Sabbath day you've carried this bed he answered them he that made me whole verse 11 he that made me whole the same said unto me take up thy bed and walk then asked they then asked they him what man is this which said said unto thee take up thy bed and walk and he began to tell them verse 16 and therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus and sought to slay him because he had done these things on the Sabbath day but Jesus answered them my father worketh hitherto and I work therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him because he not only had broken the Sabbath but said also that God was his father making himself equal with God then answered Jesus and said unto them verily verily I say unto you the son can do nothing of himself but what he seeth the father do and what things soever he doeth these also doeth the son likewise for the Father loveth the Son and showeth him all things that that that himself doeth and he will show him Greater Works than these that you may Marvel finally Jesus comes down to verse number 39 now he's really in trouble now church he not only healed a man and told the man to carry his bed which broke their Sabbath law but when they asked him what was he doing telling a man to carry his bed he said that God was his father they really blew their top because you're claiming to be equal with God Jesus took them down to verse number 39 and let me just insert this here there is a lot of questions and there is a lot of false teaching on the identity of Jesus Christ but the answer can be found in verse 39 search the scriptures Jesus said for in them ye think you have eternal life and they are they which testify of me he said that scroll that you've got in your hand search Isaiah search Ezekiel search you read it he said do more than read it search it he said because I am contained in the scripture I am the one that was conceived of a virgin I am the one church that his name would be called wonderful counselor Mighty God Everlasting own name him you will receive Jesus plainly said I have come in my father's name Paul plainly said that Jesus obtained his name by inheritance so we understand today that Jesus the name Jesus is the he would not be there but his church would be and he said in that day ye shall ask in my name that will I do that the father may be glorified in the son John 14:14 if ye shall ask anything in my name I will do it the name of Jesus John 15:16 ye have not chosen me but I have chosen you and ordain you that ye should go and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should remain that whatsoever ye shall ask of the father in my name he may give it you talking about the church talking about us John 1626 at that day ye shall ask in my name and I say not unto you that I will pray and and and I say not unto you that I will pray the father for you you're going to ask in my name the last words Jesus spoke to his disciples mark 16:15 and he said unto them go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to Every Creature he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved he that believeth not shall be damned these signs shall follow them that believe how many Believers are in the house today I wonder how many Believers are watching by way of television and by way of the web today are you a Believer these signs shall follow them that believe in my name they shall cast out Devils they shall speak with new Tong they shall take up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover what are all these things to be done what are all these things to be done by what are these things to be done by by the name of Jesus Christ by that name Jesus said in Matthew 2818 Jesus came and spake unto them saying all power is given unto me in heaven and and Earth go ye therefore and teach All Nations baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Ghost teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I while Apollos was at Corinth Paul having passed through the upper Coast came to Ephesus and finding certain disciples he said unto them now now there must have been something that tipped him off he said have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed you know what I think tipped him off no power I think what tipped him off was the conversation of no power and he said have yall received the Holy Ghost since you believe see what we have the battle today is there's erroneous teaching that tells you that once you believe Upon Jesus Christ as your personal savior you're automatically filled with the baptism you're you're not according to scripture you're on first base but you're not home have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed and they said unto him we have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost we don't we don't what are you talking about he said unto them Paul starts back unto what then were you baptized and they said unto John's baptism when they said holy ghost holy what are you talking about Holy Ghost Holy Ghost what are you talking about he said well then pray take how in the world we all baptized he said under John's baptism now John's baptism is different from New Testament baptism for John was under the law see the law did not the the law was not completed until Pentecost came and Pentecost is The Great Divide between the law Jesus fulfilled the law on the cross became the sacrifice sufficient for man this what we baptized with John he said he said it's outdated it's outdated John's baptism was only valid to the day of Pentecost if John had gave tickets out to his baptism he would have say he would say expires Pentecost for John's baptism simply said to believe on him which was to come which is Christ so here's what Paul said then said Paul John barely baptized with a baptism of repentance saying unto the people that they should believe on him which should come after him that that is on Christ Jesus when they heard this they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus and may I add they were re-baptized baptism was so important in the book of Acts that if one found out that their baptism had expired and that there was another valid baptism that carried the name of Jesus they were re-baptized and so when they heard this they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus and when Paul had laid his hands on them the Holy Ghost came on them and they spake with tongues and prophesied what a name what a name the salvation of the name of Jesus church family today don't be weak you carry the name of Jesus it's the saving name it's the healing name every time you think about that sickness think about the name of Jesus every time you think about that sickness think about his name the name of Jesus the healing name of Jesus power in the name of Jesus Deliverance in the name of Jesus Jesus Jesus Jes Jesus maybe your mind is troubled in the maybe you're watching from a hotel room maybe you're watching from a dark room and you're trying to drink your sorrows away maybe maybe your life is falling apart can I plead with you today whoever I may be talking to There's Hope in the name of Jesus you've not went so far that the name of Jesus cannot help you for the name of Jesus affects the angels in heaven and the name of Jesus affects the people in this room and the name of Jesus affects the demons in hell
