stand just right where you're at I'm going to read a scripture or two and we'll pray and you can go back to your seats in just a moment Genesis chapter 26 and verse number 12. Genesis chapter 26 and verse number 12. then Isaac sowed in that land and received in the same year a hundredfold and the Lord blessed him and the man waxed great and went forward and grew until he became very great or he had possessions of flocks and possession of herds and a great store of servants and the Philistines envied him for all the whales which his father's servants had digged in the days of Abraham his father the Philistines had stopped them and filled them with Earth for a few moments tonight and by the help of God I'm going to gather you back up to the altar because I believe that God is here this evening I keep hearing in my spirit tonight healing healing healing healing healing healing do you know that God doesn't have to notify you that he's healed you some people get Faith when they get feel like I feel like I was healed do you know that God doesn't have to notify you when he heals you you just need to be in an atmosphere where you believe foreign s tonight I'm going to preach on this subject the Next Generation the next the next Generation precious God Of Heaven tonight I come before you Lord I just ask you tonight in the portion of the word that has been read and this service God where you're using the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe Lord I pray tonight that you would open ears and Open Hearts that Lord that we can see the importance of the hour that we're living in and that God you're calling on all men and all women to become involved in your work in this last closing hours of the church Lord speak to Hearts tonight I'll give you praise and honor and glory in Jesus name amen and amen Give the Lord a hand to praise as you're being seated as you're returning come on give him a great hand of praise the Next Generation the Next Generation Abraham in the previous chapter Abraham has died Abraham has given up the ghost but because one generation dies does not mean the plan of God dies because Abraham died the promise that was upon Abraham did not die that promise was passed on down to his son his promised seed Isaac the Bible said in the scripture reading tonight the Bible said that Isaac sowed in that land appears to be the first sowing the first sowing and reaping after the death of his father he sowed in that land and he received in that same year a hundred a hundred fold that's it's prosperous that's as prosperous as you could ever be to receive to receive a hundredfold then he said and the Lord blessed him and the Lord blessed him I I believe that Sinners can prosper but I believe it takes children of God to be blessed a sinner can have a hundred-fold crop but it takes a child of God in Covenant relationship with God to have the blessings of the Lord the Bible tells us that he sowed in the land and he received a hundredfold and the Lord blessed him and I say that that was probably a confirmation to Isaac that the god of his father Abraham was now shining upon his son Isaac says in verse 13 that Isaac wax great that word wax there means to grow great to increase great the Bible said he went forward that's a good direction to go in isn't it he goes forward the Bible said he grew until he became he became very great he had possession of flocks and possession of herds and had a great store of servants to look out over them and here's in verse 14 where the trouble comes up the Bible said that the Philistines envied him they envied him of course tonight we know this group of people known as the Philistines are only acting out what that great hater of Truth would have acted out that great hater of the promises and the plans of God that great hater of Truth Satan we do have we do have an enemy I don't like to preach about him very much but I do like to remind the church that you and I do have an enemy we do have an adversary the Bible said these Philistines envied him and verse 15 their way of stopping Isaac and his growth was not taking away the flocks was not taking away the herds it was not taking away the number of servants that he had it wasn't attacking anything material that he had except one thing the Philistines knew along with the hater of Truth take the water supply you take the water supply and you'll eventually get all the herds you'll get all of the servants you've got to take you've got to take the water supply I'm going to bounce back between history and relevant what's relevant to us today but we have a water supply we have been extremely blessed of God's people God has blessed us First Apostolic of Maryville God has blessed us far beyond what I have ever imagined him to bless us but can I tell you the adversary envies the blessings of God and that adversary knows that the thing that he must do to stop us from going forward to stop us from increasing in our number he has got to take our water supply our water supply is the spirit of God nothing will ever take the place of the presence of the almighty God that is brought down in our service by the worship of God's people nothing will ever take the place of God's presence amen so the Bible said the Philistines filled up filled up the whales that Abraham's servants had dug he filled up those Wells tonight as I again tell you that I'm gonna bounce between history and what's relevant there are some whales that we've drunk from for years that we have got to keep them open for business and that's the whale of worship and that's the whale of praise and that's the well of prayer and that's the well of 100 percent sold out to live for God our wells are not part-time drinking stations our wells are full-time consuming us we must have god let's don't let the adversary stop up those whales Wells of Holiness Wells of Separation Wells of prayer Wells of worship Wells of demonstrative worship leaping shouting dancing rejoicing let us never allow the enemy to stop up our wells go with me to verse number to verse number 17 and Isaac departed fence pitched his tent in the valley of Gira and dwelt there and Isaac digged again the wells of water which they had digged in the day of Abraham his father for the Philistines have stopped them after the death of Abraham and he called their names after the names by which his father had called them next Generation I got to tell you something Abraham's generation dug the well they've got the calluses that were from the blisters on their hands their backs have recovered from being sore their feet have recovered from carrying the rocks and busting the ground and they dug a whale so that you and I could drink from it but when the enemy comes in and fills up those Wells it's our opportunity to step up and not live in the misery of what used to be but get our shovels out and say if our Father Abraham can dig a well and have God in the midst a 17 year old boy can step out and have God in his midst because of gigging the whale he dug the whale there the Bible says in verse 18 and Isaac did again the wells of water which they had digged in the days of Abraham his father for the Philistines that stopped him after the death of Abraham and he called their names after the names by which his father called them and Isaac's servants digged in the valley and found there a well of springing water a whale of springing water now what this whale of springing water typifies in the New Testament it's it's directly connected when Jesus told that woman at the well that if you will believe you can ask and I will give you living water springing up within you can I tell you young people can I tell you tonight church we don't have to live wondering what a Revival feels like we don't have to we don't have to live you know they tell me that second hand smoke can give you cancer I don't want second hand Revival I will my first hand Revival I'm tired of hearing about God doing something back in the 60s I'm tired of hearing about people way back when having a move it's our day it's our time to dig those robot dig those whales it's our day he found a well of springing water but verse 20. and the Herdman of Gira did strive with Isaac's herdsmen saying the water is ours and he called the name of it is sick because they strobe for it and they dug another well and strove for that also and he called that name of it shitna and he removed from this and digged another well and for that they strobe not and he called the name of that Rehoboth for he said for now the Lord hath made room for us and we shall be fruitful in the land can I tell you something fighting and pressure and resistance is normal nothing is wrong with you because you're feeling resistance it's normal it should be there because if we are not doing something for God the enemy will not mess with us but just as sure as you step out to do the will of God the adversary will begin to resist you you will begin to face Spirits you have no explanation for you don't know why they're there you don't know you just know there's resistance there and when they fight for your will move to another one and they fight for that move to another one because you're eventually going to get to the place where there's no more fighting you have overcome the adversary you know there ought to be some devils that don't come around your house because you've already defeated them there ought to be some Temptations you don't have anymore because you have already defeated them come on you start living for God you get in the church and you start digging a well and the spirits come against you and they say you don't belong here you don't look like them you're not loved around them can I tell you that's normal the devil has pulled that old Pony trick I don't have a new convert that has ever come in the church but new convert keep on fighting keep on fighting because you're going to get to a well he dug him a well and they didn't fight for that well he said now I've got some room I've got some room and in verse 23 he went up from fence to Beersheba and the Lord appeared unto him the same night and said I am the god of Abraham thy father fear not for I am with thee I Will Bless thee and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake I believe we need a fresh anointing upon this generation that God is on us just like he was 2 000 years ago on the day of Pentecost we're not a knockoff of Pentecost we're not a deluded version of Pentecost if we are we are because we choose to be but I believe that God has found a group of people in Maryville Tennessee that are saying God we have fought every Spirit we have fought the adversary and now we're in a place to where God comes down and he says as I was with the day of Pentecost I am with you as I was I want God to be on this church just like he was on the day of Pentecost Church God came down and told Isaac just like I was with your father I'm with you fear not I'm going to bless you I'm going to multiply your seed for my servant Abraham's sake verse 25. and he builds an altar there and called on the name of the Lord and pitched his tent there and there Isaac's servants dig the well you got to see very you got to see that verse clear this is like no other place that he's got there was a lot of places he had whales life but he didn't have altar's death there's a lot of people that want the life of the Holy Ghost they want to shout they want the Comfort they want all the feel Goods of the Holy Ghost but they don't want to build an altar close to their well an altar has got a place of chill bumps an altar is not a place of your flesh feeling good your flesh hates it your flesh doesn't want to go there it'll find every reason to go to the well but it'll fight you like never before to go to the altar because there at the altar our flesh has to die let me Pastor you tonight church sometimes we can get too much flesh in this church and God can't move now God can move on the church collectively it doesn't matter if there's one person sending up a prey signal God will come down in the midst but the sad thing is God cannot work on an individual as long as you've got flesh in the way if you've got an unforgiving Spirit God cannot work it out if you've got bitterness and Malice and carnality and criticism if you've got all this cynical attitude about the ways of God God can never change your life your cynical Spirit needs to be placed on the altar cynicism is not wisdom it'll try to tell you how wise you are you're not wise you're cynical you need to put your cynical Spirit on the Altar and say God take it out you need to put your pride on the Altar and say God take it out you need to take your bitterness on the altar we've all been done wrong I am never going to give any of you a comforting teddy bear so that you can hold two because you've been done wrong we've all been done wrong Jesus was done wrong but he overcame get up get up forgive your brother go on oh my God have mercy on our soul we need to put lust on the altar we need to put lust on the Altar and Betty when we put lust on the altar we need to put the things on the altar that's causing us to lust can I tell you right now can I tell you right now if you can't control your television take a shotgun and send it on to Eternity don't have one in your house amazing if you don't know how to shove the appearance of evil then you need to get all that away from you you can't handle that but can I tell you something it doesn't matter if you do send your TV on to to Eternity billboards magazines flesh flesh people don't wear clothes anymore flesh oh come on now so you don't get away it's not you don't need to become a Hermit you need to become an altar prayer you don't need to get away from this world we're in this world but not of this world but if you want to have an altar to die on to take your flesh too if you will have an altar to lay on and say God the thoughts that I'm having are not right God the ways that I'm having this is not right do you know something the temptation to sin the temptation to sin is like somebody taking a wheelbarrow full of dirt across your beautiful line do you know the first time they pushed that wheelbarrow full of dirt across your beautiful lawn there's grass there that gives a resistance it's hard to push it across but if you continually let that wheelbarrow come across that yard and come across that yard and come across that yard and come across that yard it wears a path and when it wears a path it is of least resistance now there's nothing there to resist so you know where you need to begin you need to begin with your thought life you need to put your thought life on the altar immediately when those thoughts come that are in violation to the word of God when those thoughts come that are not of God they are of our fleshly mind when that thought begins to chirp we need to stop it right there you see well brother Carpenter it's still coming around that's exactly right until you grow some conviction in your brain until you grow some resistance in your brain that cuts out every pathway that those thoughts want to come but keep on rebuking it keep on casting it down keep on stopping it don't don't entertain it don't cuddle it don't do any of that but stop it right where it's at and the best place is having an altar but not just a church altar we didn't return to the altars in our homes we need to have altars in our house come on Praise Him With Me worship him with me oh mighty God what a mighty God we serve Isaac found a place where he had both life water and death altar you don't need a church you just come shout and go right out and live the way you're living you need a church that's got both an altar and a whale a place to die and a place to live as a matter of fact I believe this is typology right here of the Resurrection only Jesus Christ fulfills both the death and the life he fulfills both death and life and there the next Generation Isaac lived with an altar and a will death and life death and life sometime later people of God find themselves again captive by the enemy God raised up a man by the name of Gideon Gideon it's interesting that God chose Gideon because the worshipers of the false gods worshiped in trees they worshiped trees and worshiped around Groves and trees it's interesting that the name Gideon Gideon means humor he kept those things down Gideon had such a powerful delivering Ministry to the children of God he chased the two kings of the midianites he chased them in Judges chapter 8 verse 18. can I tell you tonight don't stop until you have total victory total victory Gideon Hewer kept following after in judges 8 and 18. he says to these two midianite kings ziba and zalmuna he asked him a question he said when he captured them he said what manner of men were they whom you slew at Tabor and they said as Thou Art so were they each one resembled the children of a king he said I want to ask you a question what did the men that you took into said they look like you look like you in verse 19 he said Gideon says they were my brethren even the sons of my mother as the Lord liveth if you had saved them alive I would not slave he said I uh I was wondering who killed my brothers I was wondering who took my brother's lives and had you not told me that it was you I would have spared you but because you have told me that you were the ones that took my brothers the sons of my mother I'm gonna slay you I'm gonna slay you but I believe that Gideon for the Erickson I believe that Gideon brother Hammond I believe that Gideon brother Nolan had a thought come through his mind I've been doing all the killing I've been leading this battle I've had my son jether is his name and by the way brother Hammond jether means abundance abundance I've had my son jether follow me I've had abundance follow me and I believe that he began to say now it's time for this next generation to feel what killing looks like it's time for this next generation to feel what it's like to put their enemy to death and he said in verse 20 and he said unto jether abundance his firstborn up and slay them but the young man Drew not his sword for he feared because he was yet a youth Gideon is wanting the Next Generation just like I'm wanting the Next Generation it's not enough that you wear a sword you got to know how to use the sword it's not enough that you were brought up in the days of the Maryville Miracle it's not enough that you have been brought up in a church that consistently feels the glory of God and moves in it it's not enough that you consistently see men and women make their way to the baptismal pool it's not enough that people can point and say you see that woman right there dancing in the altar drugs had her bound she was all messed up but she's been coming to church got the Holy Ghost baptized in Jesus name and she's free free free it's not enough that you hear about it gither you're living in abundance tonight we're living in abundance you have got to use your sword you have got to get up and he turned to jeither and he said you get up and you kill those two kings but when Jesus began to look at those two kings and those two kings begin to look at him he began to be afraid I I I don't know if I can do it can I tell you something if God has promised you Victory it might look sloppy but God's going to give you Victory if God told you you can make it if God told you you can make it [name redacted] God told you to do something God is going to be there and God is going to make the way but Dad I've never killed anybody before I don't know where to cut I don't know exactly how to do it can I tell you it may look sloppy but if God has told you to do something you get up and pull your sword out and you begin to do it because God is going to be with you come on somebody help me tonight if God tells you to do something and Jesus he said to Jesus he said up and slay him let the Young the youth Drew not his sword for he feared because he was yet a youth then ziba and zamuna said rise there fall on us for as the man is so is his strength in in anywhere anyway those two kings knew if this boy gets a hold of us it'll be a prolonged death he'll hack away at us but if the old man gets a hold of us the old man knows where to lay the sword right at the neck and death will come quickly and salmon and Zeba said you do it we want to die quickly you just go ahead and fall on us can I tell you something tonight it may look a little messy you may not be perfect and none of us are but when God begins to birth visions and plans of him using you you get up and you let God begin to work through your life if God has given you a vision that you're going to be an attorney in this town you get up I don't care if there's not scholarships available if God's given you a vision that you're going to be an attorney or a medical doctor or you're going to be some missionary somewhere just get up it's going to happen but for God's sake don't set in the abundant much of blessings and do absolutely nothing Gideon Gideon I disagree with you get in I believe you ought to make that boy get up and hack away you could have taken care of it I believe that boy needed to know the sword I believe that boy needed to know what the next of the adversary felt like under his feet we don't need a generation that's living on second hand smoke from those that have dug a well we need Generations that know what it's like to go to the Altar and stay there until you get touched tell everybody else to go to the coffee shop tell everybody else to go home I gotta stay here until God gives me what I need is there anybody answering that call tonight come on come on young man John Mark come on John Mark come on the Next Generation John Mark is chosen John Mark is chosen in Acts chapter 12 verse 25 and Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem when they had fulfilled their Ministry and they took with them John whose surname was Mark he's a young man in training he's a young man that's feeling his call to go with Paul in Barnabas acts 13 and verse 5. and when they of solomus were at salamis they preached the word of God and the synagogues of the Jews and they had also John to their Menace Minister John was with them verse 13. now when Paul and his company loose from papers they come from Persian pamphilia and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem now tell you something John saw some hardship John saw some demons coming out of people John saw demons crying out he wasn't in a organized Apostolic Church service in Jerusalem he saw demons crying out he saw things that made him uncomfortable and in the dead of night John Mark packed his suitcase John Mark made it back home to his mother's house his mother who was in the church there John Mark made it back Paul and morning I just woke up the next morning I don't know if they were surprised or not to find that John Mark had left them it was some time later sometime later in Acts chapter 15 and verse 36. and some days after Paul said to Barnabas let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord and see how they do and Barnabas determined to take with them John whose surname was Mark but Paul thought it not good to take him with them who departed from them from penphilia and they went and went not with them to the work and the contention was so sharp between them that they departed a Sunder one from the other so Barnabas took Mark and sailed to Cyprus Paul chose Silas and departed being recommended by the Brethren unto the grace of God can I tell you something tonight Can I Tell You Next Generation that when you fail and this is coming from this Pulpit this is coming from your pastoral team the devil is a liar what has he lied to me about he has told some of you young men and young women because you have had a failure that you are no longer able to be used of God he is telling you that your pastor on team overlooks you and does not consider you because you had your chance and you blew it the devil is a liar we are not looking for perfect young people we are looking for Willing young people if you can give me if you can give me a person I know there's nobody perfect but if you can give me somebody willing God will take care of the failure and God will lead you you get your hands up saints of God you get your I'm I'm not just preaching to the teenagers tonight I am preaching to everybody in this building you get your hands up tonight we need all hands on deck we need people come on clap your hands right now have your hands right now I don't believe Paul was led of the Lord I believe Paul had a little bit of his phariseeism creeping in I believe Paul was a three strike and you're out I believe Paul had a little bit of that that legalism phariseeism coming in and when John Mark left he wrote him off but Barnabas had more of the mercy of God Barnabas is the son of consolation he's the son of comfort and when Paul said I'm not taking the boy he left us high and dry I'm not taking the boy Barnabas bowed up and said I'm going to tell you what Paul we ought to be a little merciful we ought to remember we ought to remember our own selves and Paul said the boy is not going with us and Barnabas got in his face and Barnabas said Read My Lips if he don't go I don't go and Paul said that's fine with me I got young Solace there that will go with me and Barnabas said fine with me me and John Mark is going in this direction and you and Sally baby going the other direction but let it be known I am taking charge on Mark with me let it be known and First Apostolic church tonight let it be known to the online congregation if you're a departed unto the unto thessalonica greciousness to galmatia Titus to Dalmatia only Luke is with me take John Mark take mark bring him with me for he is profitable to me for the ministry can I tell you something happened in the later days of Paul's life that he wasn't looking for people with a perfect record he just was looking for people to get back up try again oh the Next Generation or I go to my last point where I go to my last point I want to say it again the devil is a liar you don't have to be a teenager to receive that you can be anybody in the sound of my voice tonight that somewhere in your life your record is not as clean as you wish it could be but I want you to listen to me tonight the devil is a liar all we need you to do is to get back up and get back in this race it's my last scriptures El can I what a man of God what a man of God no can I was he had a wife by the name of Hannah would make his way to the house of God every year and he would begin to worship it was a festive time for El can I it was infested time for him but what was a festive time for him was a very sad time for Hannah for you see Hannah was Barren Hannah had never given a child you see in that day a barren woman was viewed as a curse from God the woman had more children she was viewed as a curse something wrong so every time that they would go to the house of God for worship Hannah found her a place in the temple to pray she interceded she interceded in prayer she just kept asking God to give me a child God if you'll give me a child if you give me a child God if you give me a child I'll give him to you all the days of his life God heard our prayer God heard her prayer when that boy was born she called him after what she had prayed for she called his name Samuel Samuel means ask of God ask of God we have no hope if we're not asking God to give us another generation our days are numbered in this church our days are numbered in this church if we don't have a Praying congregation saying God give us children or we die God answered Hannah he called his name Samuel she took him to the house of God and handed him to Eli the priest some years later in verse number 18 first Samuel chapter 2 and verse number 18. the Bible said but Samuel ministered before the Lord being a child girded with an ephod with a with a linen ephod and I tell you this church is blessed tonight to have so many Avenues that we can put Linen ephods on our young people and whether that word young there is young as far as age is concerned or young as far as Walking with God is concerned thank God tonight up in the tech room our young men and young women wearing the epha thank God tonight that'll cross this choir was young men and young women wearing the linen ephod thank God that sprinkled through this church assistance to teachers and helping out is young men and young women that are wearing the linen equal verse 19 moreover his mother made him a little coat and brought it to him from year to year when she came with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifices and Eli blessed elkana and his wife and said the Lord give the seed of this woman for the loan which is Lent to the Lord and they went to their own home and the Lord visited Hannah so that she conceived and she bear three sons and two daughters and the child Samuel grew before the Lord but here's my point here's my point we are in the ministry of making larger coats for our savings we are in the ministry of looking at our Samuels looking at our high school students looking at super kids church and saying the little coat they got right now is good but we need to get a little bit better code on them that's a good coat right there but let's get a little bigger coat on them all those Senior High those high school kids that we got coming to church oh they're doing right good right now they're enjoying being a teenager living for God but the pastor's got another coat and that coat is said I want to put another coat on you God has given you a gifting and God has given you a purpose and God has given you a calling don't let your Utopia be a 35 hour a job don't let that be the Utopia of your life let the Utopia of your life believe I want to be in the mind of God in the will of God and in the ways of God brother Nolan would you come up here tonight and would you begin to call the Next Generation brother Nolan if you'll stand right over here and you'll face and I want your next Generation I want them to come and stand in the altar call the Next Generation Nolan [name redacted] [name redacted] do you know that a couple of weeks ago in Florida a couple weeks ago in Florida gangs took the lives of three people brother Nichols three people were randomly picked out and shot and killed so that's terrible let me tell you something else is terrible about it one of the boys that did the shooting or one of them was 12 years old we had better get these kids bought in to something that God begins to mold them this is our next generation we don't have a church if we don't have them come on brother Hammond come on brother Hammond can you all Worship the Lord tonight the way you Worship the Lord can you Worship the Lord right now with me come on can you Worship the Lord right now that's right that's right that's right go ahead and worship God that's how you do it that's how you do it that's
