I'll give God a hand of Praise right now thank you praise team thank you so much if you have your Bibles you can quickly go with me to the Book of Judges chapter number six and verse number 11 Judges chapter number six and verse number 11 is very needful that we have times of training because we are not a church that is built on emotions we are a church that is built on the word of God we're not built on a shout but the word will produce a shout and so this morning I I commend brother snitcher and all of the men and women that finished this course and look forward to another batch of people coming through and being trained and how to handle the word of God brother name me uh is so the work in the Philippines brother Erickson has not stopped talking about the work that's going on in the in the Philippines and we look forward we just look forward to seeing that work grow and grow because what you heard through brother Schnitzer today brother name me duplicates that in the Philippines among the ministers there and I want to say to the Soto family this morning it is so good to have them to have them with us they previously pastored an Apostolic Church in Virginia very successful um Hispanic Spanish-speaking church and God gave them many Souls there and through the leading of the Lord they feel like moving coming to Maryville and to help us to reach our Spanish-speaking Community amen and I have met I have met many pastors that know the Soto family and the one thing brother Mayo that they say that sticks out above everything else they're a talented family a music family singing but one of the things that sticks out they will say this they are so winners they're so winners we can do without singing we can't do without Soul winning well he's a good preacher you can do without good preaching too but you got to have a soul winner and we Desoto Family we welcome you this morning judges 6 and 11 and there came an angel of the Lord and set under an oak which was in Oprah that pertaineth unto joash of abasarat and his son Gideon thrust Wheat by the wine press to hide it from the midianites and the angel of the Lord appeared unto him and said unto him the Lord is with thee thou Mighty Man of Valor and Gideon said unto him oh my Lord if the Lord be with us why then is all this befallen us and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of saying did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt but now the Lord had forsaken us and delivered us into the hand of the midianites and the Lord looked upon him and said go in this thy night and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the midianites have not I sent thee excuse me voice is a little scratchy not covet okay something scratchy this morning let's pray father I love you I thank you Lord for your love and your mercy thank you God for the men and women that are here this morning it didn't have to be here they wanted to be here they wanted to come and worship you now thank you for our guests our returning guest Lord anoint me for the next few moments I'll give you the praise and the honor and the glory in Jesus name amen you may be seated he would put the picture of the car that I sent you this morning if you put that on the screen a father said to his daughter you have graduated with honors here is a car that I bought you years ago it's a bit older now but before I give it to you take it to the used car lot downtown and tell them you want to sell it see how much they will offer for it the daughter went to the used car lot and returned to her father and said they they offered me a thousand dollars because they said it looked pretty wore out the father said take it to the pawn shop the daughter went to the pawn shop and returned to her father and said the pawn shop offered only a hundred dollars because they said it was an old car the father asked his daughter to go to a car club now and show them this car the daughter then took the car to the club and returned and told her father some people at the club offered me a hundred thousand dollars because and I'm gonna probably butcher this because it's a Holden rhino and it's an iconic car and it is sought by many collectors now the father said to his daughter the right place values you the right way if you are not valued do not be angry it simply means you are in the wrong place those who know your value are those who appreciate you never stay in a place that doesn't see your value welcome to the house of God welcome to the house of God this morning whether whether you are an atheist or you are a seasoned Elder saint of God you are valued in this house you are of Great Value you're not worth a thousand dollars you're not worth a hundred dollars you are well worth a hundred thousand dollars because you are in the place that values you you matter of fact that's my title today the place of value the place of value Gideon finds himself an Israelite he finds himself in a very terrible time in Israel's history Israel had once again went in the circuit of serving God being blessed allowing the blessings to distract them from God joining themselves to the Heathen Godless Nations around them becoming like other nations instead of Nations becoming like them and once again it's all through the Book of Judges if you read the Book of Judges it's simply a merry-go-round of Israel living for God forgetting God going into bondage in bondage crying out to God God sends a deliverer and it goes the circuit goes around and around and we find our scripture reading is where the children of Israel are now in bondage to the midianites not the not uh one time I was preaching I didn't say media nights I said Mennonites I'm not talking about the Mennonites today don't nobody go out here and run over a horse and bug you I'm not talking about the Mennonites today the midianites they find themselves under bondage to the midianites the amalekites they find themselves under bondage and it's a very cruel bondage let me tell you about it it's a very cruel bondage kind of connects you to the one who is cruel because the Bible tells us the many nights in the amalekites and a group of other people from the East gathered themselves together at Harvest Time at Harvest Time and they came up I would I would partly understand it partly be able to comprehend it if they came up and stole their crops if they just came up and brought empty wagons and and just loaded all the wheat and all the crops that would be a little bit understandable but the Bible says they came up just to destroy the crops it was almost like a holiday for the midianites and the amalekites they just came once a year and the Bible described how many came by saying they came as the Grasshoppers they they formalditude they couldn't be numbered and they only came to destroy Israel's crops how cruel cruel that must have been they just came to destroy they just came in a destructive I mean what person in their right mind wants to be destructive what person wants to have a spirit that would in the face of a hard-working Farmer in the face of young Israelite children that'll go hungry they could burn up their fields and trash their Harvest but no doubt we know the connection here because Satan Satan is marked by destruction he has come to kill steal and destroyed and so Israel was so impoverished they were so in bondage that they had made themselves they couldn't even live in their houses anymore they had to live in caves and they had to live in the thickets of the woods because of what the midianites and the amalekites would do year after year after year after year but finally Israel began to cry out to their God they begin to lift their voice and cry out to the God and they begin to admit they're wrong they begin to admit that what had enticed them into that they were wrong in their decision and they began to tell God that they were sorry for their sins and the Bible said because of this that God sent them a preacher God sent them a preacher and the preacher began to tell them of the errors of their way the preacher began to reprove them the preacher began to rebuke them you see today God sends a preacher with a trumpet God sends a preacher when it's not in season the Bible said preach the word be instant ready to go in season and out of season can I tell you that right now in America it is not in season to be a preacher it is not in season to be a preacher people want to gather in buildings today and have a life coach that never addresses their sins only tells them that your destiny is inside of you and and and you're this and you're that and that's all true if the deliverer is inside of you you can't have a Destiny without God you can't have a victory without the Victor and so I'm just accepting it it's been for many years now preaching is not in season it's not in season the Bible says to the preacher to lift up your voice like a trumpet I'm sad to say today that some pulpits have traded their trumpet for a flute for a fluke so a man of God came to them in a man that God reproved them well a man of God can't you see their their their their it's bad enough now here you come and you're telling them to repent and be sorry and that's right because that's the turnaround and the Bible said they heeded the voice of the preacher they listened to the voice of the prophet of the preacher well the next thing that happens an angel of the Lord appeared to them now let me just stop here as I I'll weave my way through the story and tell you we have a lot of people that want to entertain an angel but not a preacher there's a lot of folks want to have angel sightings and not preacher sightings can I tell you in God's divine order you don't get the angel until you listen to the preacher and and God knows I believe in angels I I believe in angels I really do believe in angels I'm married to one I've I'm married I'm married to one she may tell you she's married to one too a fallen angel so but anyway I'm I believe in angels but I believe in Preachers and I believe you get a preacher before you get an angel so the angel of the Lord came and he found Gideon now getting at this time has got him a little bundle of wheat and he's trying to thresh him out a loaf of bread and he's hiding in a wine press he's hiding in a wine press he's he's he's fearful of the midianites and the amalekites and he's he's hiding in a wine press and he's threshing wheat and he threshes and looks over his shoulder and threshes a little bit makes some noise and waits and sees if everything will calm down and and then all of a sudden this Angel of the Lord appears and the angel of the Lord the angel of the Lord said greetings thou Mighty Man of Valor greetings you mighty man of Valor Gideon I can see him sin you talking about me you're talking about you talking about me yeah I'm talking about you you are a Mighty Man of Valor and he said if I'm a mighty man of our why are we in the condition that we're in and if God is with me like you say he is then why are we in the condition that we're in hiding in caves and dens watching our crops be destroyed once a year and where are the Miracles that our fathers told us about no I'm not a Mighty Man a Valor but the angel kept on until the angel finally convinced Gideon that he in spite of everything he was seeing in his life in spite of everything that was going on in his life he began to be injected with a spirit that said wait a minute I am of value right now I'm not a thousand dollar car I'm not a hundred dollar car I'm evidently in the house of God and and and you see me as a mighty man of Valor but then he kept offering excuses he said I can't deliver Israel he said my family is the least in Israel and I am the poorest in my family and the angel kept on telling him this is why you need to stay around the preached word of God you need a continual dose you know if the doctor gives you medicine you need to take three times a day for seven days to help you get better you need to stay in the house of God the place of value I know out there they don't value very you very well but if you keep coming to the house of God sooner or later you're going to start believing that you're not a piece of trash you're going to start believing that you are you are some treasure you're going to start believing you know I know I got a lot messed up with me but you know I'm just starting to believe that somehow there's a God that that that that that values well finally you stay with me in chapter six he comes to verse 18 and evidently he's got Gideon he's got Gideon convinced that he's a man of value but you don't understand this don't you we don't just need to talk we need to put some worship behind it we need to put some worship behind it you see today it's my obligation to tell you what a value what a valuable person you are but when you begin to believe it it becomes your uh it becomes your observation or your your obligation to begin to worship so Gideon begins to believe it in verse number 18. he says to the angel depart not hints I pray thee until I come unto thee and bring forth my present and said it before thee and he said I will carry until Thou come again guess what he said he says I believe that I can be a person of victory but I understand there's no Victory without worship I understand that there's no victory without worship the life coach does not draw you into an altar to worship he just tries to use Mental positive attitude for you to change things around you but the preacher the preacher is going to dig deep to the source of defeat and everything that defeats us can be tied back to sin and disobedience and so now Gideon says wait a minute we're going to repent of our sins as a nation but I've got to worship so Gideon goes and Gideon Gideon gets the sacrifice he gets the sacrifice for worship go to verse 20 with me and the angel of the Lord said unto him take the flesh that was part of it take the meat and the unleavened cakes that was bread and lay them upon the rock and pour out the broth and he did so I I don't know if I'm a little hungry this morning but everybody loves sausage gravy poured over biscuits and I begin to see it Gideon brought the flesh the sauces the sausage he brought the bread the biscuits and he brought the broth the gravy and he poured it out there on the rock and when he put his offering he put his offering upon the rock then the angel of the Lord put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand and touched the Flesh and the unleavened cakes and There Rose up fire out of the Rock and consumed the Flesh and the unleavened cakes then the angel of the Lord departed out of his sight there's nothing like giving God something and letting God come down upon that sacrifice there's nothing in this world that will ever take the place of you worshiping God and bringing God to flesh and the cakes and the broth and all of a sudden it's just normal flesh and caits and broth but it was given to God and then God puts his rod down in it and the fire of the spirit begins to lift up it's just an ordinary hallelujah it's just an ordinary praise the lord it's just an ordinary few moments of you saying God I love you God I worship you your carnal flesh said don't up around the altar your carnal mind said that doesn't make any sense but you listen to the preacher and you brought a Hallelujah I thank you Jesus I'm sorry God you brought here's my life to God and in the midst of that God came down with his spirit and God touched your life and you said man I I feel that I I know that that's real how many of you know that to be real today and the next thing is verse 25. after you are a worshiper you must begin to remove the things out of your life that Grieves God after you become a worshiper you must remove things out of your life that is grieving to God now God can do this one of two ways you can either give it up or he'll do surgery you can either give it up on your knees or give it up on your back now he would rather you give it up on your knees but he loves you so much that if you're not willing to give it up on your knees he'll lay you flat of your back because he doesn't want you to be lost he wants you to have Victory here and Heaven over there and so when he sees things that are in our lives he says all right you've listened to me you believe you're a mighty man of Matt Valor all right you've listened to me you begin to worship God now Gideon I want you to go out and begin to remove what Grieves me and you know what grieved him all of those trees and all of those idols that were built trees that were planted for the worship of Baal trees that were planted so they could go worship false gods God said to get in go cut them down take the wood take the wood of the trees build an altar and offer up a sacrifice to God so the Bible said Gideon was afraid to do it by day but he did it by night so one evening those male worshipers were down at their beautiful gray Groves they were down at their beautiful Groves with big old trees around and they're just worshiping Baal and they put the lanterns out and they went home to return the next morning but when the current returned the next morning they didn't find their beautiful trees they found an altar and they found a sacrifice going up and they became very angry and they said we know who did this we know who did this Gideon did this and they knocked on Gideon's door and Gideon's daddy answered the door Gideon's father answered the door and they said you bring your boy out here right now we're going to kill him because he's done chopped down the wood in the Groves and he's done chopped down all of the trees that we worship belt and we're going to kill your boy just bring him on out here and Gideon's daddy defended him and Gideon's daddy said well you know I'm not going to bring him out if they'll be God let Bill kill him let Baal put him let Belle put him to death isn't it amazing that we live in a world that can put all kind of money and energy in what they want to and they call it normal but if we start putting energy and money and mentality in our heart into things of God they say that's what's wrong with America that's what's wrong with them we need to kill the church we need to silence the voice of the church them old judgmental people that want to talk about away the truth and the light can I tell you if if the devil could kill us he would but he can't the only way that we can be silenced is to listen to a world that let them convince us that we're not normal doing what we do now I don't think that our church service sister Sutton is going to last any time the amount uh any any length of time that the Tennessee Florida football game yesterday took well I also know about that episode of church y'all address uh y'all dress a certain way did you go to the ball game yesterday well y'all scare me the way y'all worshiped you go to the ball game yesterday see that's totally acceptable but to come into the house of God I want you to know I want you to know just enjoy and and just enjoy your win I see the orange all over here go balls get enjoy the wind enjoy because there's another game I know we're high up on oh there's nothing wrong with that just as long as you don't allow it to get in your mind that what we do here it's just not really you know that's that's just not really me to cut down everything we we got to cut down out of our lives I will say this let me just stop here I will Paul say this if you can show more emotions for a pigskin then you do a black leatherback Bible I'm just saying I I I'm just saying if you're knocking Holiness Inward and outward but you can dress up in Orange from the top of your head to the bottom of your toes and go cheer on I'm just saying I'm just saying you're wearing orange because you want to be identified with your team and that's totally good that's totally good but don't allow Holiness to get up here that you don't want to identify with the people of God this is where I want to identify oh help me to move on so he began to cut down all the trees and God said Gideon God said Gideon now that you've gotten out of my way things that grieve me now Stay With Me Now you have gotten out of your way you've gotten out of the way things that grieved me now go fight the enemy now go fight the enemy don't go fight the enemy if you have things in your life that grieve God because the enemy's gonna Belly Laugh You don't don't try to don't try to rebuke devils if you've got sin in your heart it just don't work that way you don't have power to rebuke Devils until you've you've you've cleared your heart get things out of your heart keep them on the altar God will give you Victory keep it on the altar God will give you victory but he got things out of his heart cut them trees down and then God said go fight the enemy now now you're ready to go fight the enemy look with me in verse number 34. of chapter six but the spirit of the Lord Came Upon Gideon he blew a trumpet didn't blow a flute did he he blew a trumpet and ABA easer was gathered unto him and he sent Messengers throughout all Manassas let me just read it for time's sake he blew a trumpet said hey we're ready to go to battle we're ready to go to war and 32 000 men showed up to go to war Gideon looked at 32 000 men but there was something he still lacked a little confidence this is where this terminology I'm going to fleece the Lord I'm going to fleece the Lord Gideon looks at 32 000 men and he says well God he said God I'm still just not convinced he says in verse number 37 he said behold I will put a fleece on a fleece of wool in the floor on the ground and if the do be on the fleece only and it'd be dry on the earth beside then shall I know that thou shalt save Israel by my hand as thou has said so he said God I'm going to fleece you so he took a piece of wool he laid it on the ground he said now God in the morning when I wake up if the fleece has do on it and nothing around it has to do then I I'm convinced God it's you it's you God well that morning he got up brother namian sure enough the fleece was wet and the ground was powder dry he says oh thank God I tell you what I'd like for you to do God just one more time in the morning I want the fleece to be dry and I want the ground to be wet now you said brother can we still fleece the Lord today I don't think so and I'll tell you why Gideon Gideon didn't have what we have Gideon didn't have a complete 66 books of the Bible Gideon did not have the baptism of the Holy Ghost and Gideon did not have a pastor because today I don't fleece the Lord I'm going to tell you another reason you don't fleece you've got to realize the Bible says in Revelation Revelation 13 13 that the devil make a fire to come down from heaven you just made talk about a fleece and the devil just may answer your fleece and lead you in the wrong direction you know you'd be on a diet and and and wonder if it's the will of God God I'm going to fleece you if there's a parking spot in front of Krispy Kreme donut right at the door God it's your will for me to go there please you Lord and all of a sudden you drive up and there's that spot open and sister Angela it's there because I drove around The Donut Shop 25 times until it was there right now we don't I personally don't believe in fleecing the Lord and I don't want to cross swords with anybody today but I personally believe in fleece in the Lord and I don't because of three things we now have the word of God a lot of people get in trouble because they're not principle driven the word of God has established principles in it and if you'll live by the word of God you can make your directions by the principles that are set forth in the word of God now I don't believe in fleecia because I have the baptism of the Holy Ghost that's sometimes a spirit inside of me just simply says I wouldn't go that way I wouldn't say that I wouldn't do that that's not a good deal to get into you just need to stay away you just need to stay away from it no I wouldn't fleece the Lord today because I've got a pastor I've got a pastor that can get a hold of God for me and pray with me and direct me so Gideon fleece the Lord and both times God God gave him God gave him the answer but then God said something to him Gideon got a little problem here Too Many Men Too Many Men if I give Israel the victory they're going to puff and brag and they're going to strut their stuff and man they're just going to get so arrogant and cocky that they won this battle and there's just too many of them for me to do it he said I tell you what Gideon tell them all tell them all that are fearful and Afraid to go home so Gideon steps out and Gideon says hey everybody if you're afraid of the sight of blood if you don't want to fight in a war you are officially dismissed twenty two thousand made a mass Exodus but ten thousand still doesn't look that bad ten thousand not a bad crowd to get in looked at say well you know ten thousand is still not a bad crowd and God said to get in here there's still too much getting you you still got too many you you got you you still got to me you see when God wants you to understand your value you've got to begin to understand his value you cannot really understand your value until you put your value into things that really matter people will leave you do not put your confidence in man will let you down every time I didn't say don't have Fellowship I didn't say don't have friends but don't put your value in your friends you've got to have different you've got to you've got to compartmentalize you've got to compartmentalize relationships you've got to have your marriage here your relationship with God here you've got to have your friends here your relationship with God here as much as you love your spouse you cannot have God and your spouse you can't do it why why won't my wife's a good woman my husband's a good man I know he is but she's a woman and he's a man and anything could be possible don't put your faith in a man there's people won't go to church anymore because they attended a church where a pastor made a mistake you know what was wrong not necessarily the man but you has your faith in the man you got to have your faith in God does it hurt sure it does just a divorce hurt I would imagine it would would if somebody gossiping about you I know that hurts which somebody backstabbing you I know that hurts would somebody misunderstanding your intentions I know that hurts but I'm not going to stop praying I'm not going to stop worshiping I'm not going to stop living for God why because my trust isn't in you come on Church come on Church you can't have your trust in people I'm sorry Gideon you still got too many really God yeah I'll take them down to the water and the ones that I want to take the battle notice the ones that reach down with their hand and Scoot water up and lap water like a dog they scoop water they scoop water up with their hand and they look into it said those that just bend their knees and put their goozle right down in there he said I I don't want them I said you you get them men that put your hand in the water man then it started getting nervous because I mean it was nine thousand that was nine thousand nine hundred and 70 men got their faces planted in the water and out of the 99 000 let me get my math right nine thousand ninety seven hundred men let me say it that way I don't write checks that big until you do uh 300 of them I'm getting nervous now I'm getting nervous now I put these 300 on the bank all I got is 300 and God said Gideon I can do it with him I can do it with them get in I can win this battle with 300 men Gideon I imagine Gideon brother Matt Gideon's not so sure this ain't 32 000 anymore this isn't ten thousand anymore this is 300. how much Faith you have in God when he takes you down from thirty two thousand to ten thousand to three hundred how much faith can you have in God when you can't look around and say I can depend on that and I can depend on this Gideon look at the 300 he doesn't place a lot of value on the 300. that God put a lot of value on the 300. Cindy Gideon he said Gideon I want you to want you to Camp I want you still here I want you to go down to the enemy's camp and I want you to hear what the enemy is saying about you I want you to go down and if you're afraid to go down by yourself take somebody with you if you're afraid to go down by yourself take somebody with you but I want you to hear what the enemy is saying about you so Gideon and a friend snuck through the woods and down was real quiet and they came Within earshot of the camp of the midianites and the amalekites they came they they got in the thickets and they came to where they could hear they could hear them talking they could they could hear them talking over there but all of a sudden it was the Bible said it was a time of the changing of the gardens oh these two old guards are standing there and one guard said to the other he said he said man I had a dream last night he said did you now he said yeah I had a dream he said well what was the dream he said well from the mountain up there there came rolling a a a a barley cage a big a big huge roll of barley bread now you got to understand something about barley barley was the poor man's bread barley was what poor people would eat poor people would eat barley bread and that man said I tell you I had a dream of a huge roll of barley bread said it came rolling out from the hills there and said it rolled all the way down in here to our camp and said it knocked all of our tents down and that next mess said oh my goodness oh my goodness that's none other but the sword of the Lord and Gideon that's get it and they got so edgy oh that's Gideon you've had a dream can I tell you today I wish we could hear what the enemy is saying about us you could get out of your mind the movie of The Exorcist I wish you could get out of your mind a devil that's huffing and puffing and big and bad and all that I wish you could get in your mind a little squirmy Spirit that's down in Hell ringing his hands and saying they met once again they're they're they're back in the house of God once again their Pastor is preaching once again he's telling them they're a value if that keeps up they're gonna slip out of our feet I wish we could hear what hell is saying about us that when I get through with this sermon today I want hell to say this statement right here I want hell to say this statement I want hell to say oh hell help us all Heavens broke loose on us today I want them to say oh hell help us all Heavens broke us I'm ready to break loose Heaven here all I needs about 300 people that'll believe God that they are of value you are about you you've been to the pawn shop too much you've been to the used car lot too much you need to come on into the house of God you're worth a hundred thousand dollars to US come on praise him right now the place Gideon said all right let's get our weapons out let's get our weapons out what we need we need a picture an empty pitcher we need a torch and a trumpet where's the bow and arrows where's the Spears we don't have any we're going to do what yes the weapons of our Warfare are not carnal but they are Mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds can I tell you today the pill you need is the gospel can I tell you what you need today that works is worship stop waiting for something you think is going to be your answer you need to get something empty and put a fire up in something empty and the hell the torch in the picture in one hand and the trumpet and the other and they said we we got a divide you go over there 100 here 100 here and you follow me Gideon said you follow what I do sounds like Paul follow me as I follow Christ get in got out there and he said tell you what we're going to do I'm all leading the way but I'm gonna break this picture and I'm gonna let my light shine and I'm gonna blow this trumpet and when I do that we're going to say the sword of the Lord and Gideon now this is what happened they're already edgy right I mean they're already they're already jumping they're already edgy they didn't had a dream about a barley bread coming they're already on their Edge and all of a sudden from one side of the Hill a Cushing took place a breaking a Breaking of the pictures took place and no sooner than the noise took place the lights of a hundred torches shine and no sooner than the light shine the the trumpets begin to blow and the mans were looking this way trying to get oriented and then all of a sudden over here they did it and over here they did it and and all of a sudden the enemy got disoriented and they began to run out of tents and they begin to fight each other they begin to stab each other they begin to destroy each other and God gave Gideon the victory that day because he believed he was a man what'd he do it with picture a flame and a trumpet you can have your Victory today if you'll follow me let's break our pictures let's let our light shine and let's blow our praise you are a value you are of value you are definitely a value have you seen me this morning brother Carpenter I'm not a value musicians would you come I'm not a value you don't know the situation I'm in is that right it's not how I see you and it's not how you see yourself it's how God sees you this morning it's how God sees you and I just want to be a conduit of God and tell you today that you're in the place you're not at the pawn shop and you're not at the used car lot today you are in the house of God and anything is possible because of where you're at this morning Anything is Possible because of where you're at God's going to raise up a deliverer you're going to get us out of Egyptian bondage oh he is yeah you see that little basket floating down the Nile he's got a baby in it that's going to be the deliverer you see Goliath the champion God says I got the match for him I got the man that'll excuse me I got the boy that'll take his head yeah who is it God you see that
