if you have your bibles this morning you would join me in the book of genesis chapter number 3 verse number 14 and 15. i so appreciate the good moving of god's presence this morning we need god we need god we need god now more than we have ever needed him if that can be said we we need god now more than we've ever needed him in all of our lives we we need god we need god if ever there's been a time that we're connected we need to live you know there's some people that the cell towers don't reach their homes very well and they have poor connection they have poor connection you'll call them and get a drop call or you'll call them and they'll say i'll have to go outside or i have to drive down the street because they have poor connection god help us today never to have poor connection with god every home ought to have a good connection with god every person ought to be in a good connection with god if you you missed yesterday trendsetters we had one of the most awesome trendsetter events sister carpenter spoke an unbelievable word and you're hearing you're hearing the amens are coming from those people that were here it was an unbelievable word that she gave and i thank god for that word connected genesis 3 and verse 14 and the lord god said unto the serpent because thou hast done this thou art cursed above all cattle and above every beast of the field upon thy belly shalt thou go and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life and i will put enmity between thee and the woman and between thy seed and her seed it shall bruise thy head and thou shalt bruise his heel i'd like to minister to us this morning on the plan the promise and the person the plan the promise and the person father thank you today for the wonderful moving of your presence god i thank you that your presence is so real when we worship you lord i thank you today god for the warmth god that i feel in this building thank you lord for your presence god that's touching people lord i ask you today to anoint my lips of clay with your spirit that i may be able to speak the eternal words of truth god i ask you today to anoint your servant that i may feed your sheep and lord if you will anoint me and help me today i'll be ever so mindful to give praise to the one from which it came in jesus name we pray amen and amen you may be seated the plan the promise and the person the plan the promise and the person i could use the analogy ground zero here i could i could use the analogy of ground zero god had created man and satan had totally came and tempted and man man had yielded man had yielded adam and eve and there was great disaster man is now separated from his god god shows up at ground zero of all sickness the seed of all sickness the seed of every murder every crime the seed of every horrific tragedy that could ever be witnessed the seed god showed up and he saw the seed of the holocaust he saw the seed of six million jews being killed he saw the seed of the twin towers coming down he saw the seed of every ted bundy he saw the seed of all sin in all crime he came down and this reptile that would walk upright through a curse of god god makes him slither and hiss on his belly and then god cursed god cursed or god spoke to the cause god spoke to satan himself it wasn't the first conversation they had ever had the last words that satan had heard his god speak was get out get out and that's when god cast lucifer from heaven and now he shows up and he has one more conversation he has one more conversation in the midst of the seed of the holocaust the twin towers the ted bundys in the midst of of all of this crime god said i am going to put enmity between you and the woman the word enmity there simply means a wall of hatred a wall an antagonist i am going to put a wall of hatred between your seed and the woman's seed he says in verse 15 between thy seed and her seed it shall bruise thy head this seed that is coming from a woman is going to bruise and crush and destroy your head but you you will bruise his heel as you study your bible you'll find out that at the scene of 9 11 at the seed of 6 million jews being killed at the seed of every ted bundy every every horrific crime every violation on man god planted a flag of promise god gave a promise he gave a promise there that day and he said to satan a woman is going to bring a seed and when this seed comes your head will be crushed you'll bruise him on the hill but he will crush and destroy your head i couldn't help but think when i heard god speak these words in the midst of total disaster in the midst of everything that god was not in the midst of all of that it was as if god stabbed the flag in the ground and that flag is our promise if we don't understand the plan all of our worship is nothing more than a bunch of religious people trying to work their way to heaven in order to understand you have to understand the plan god let the enemy know i am giving humanity a promise i'm giving a promise it reminded me when i when i read these verses of scripture i couldn't help but think back to september the 14th 2001 when then president george bush stood in the midst of the rubble of 9 11. he said these words and i'd like to share them with you this morning he said i want you all to know that america today america today is on bended knee in prayer for the families whose lives are lost for the workers who work here for the families who mourn this nation stands with the good people of new york city and new jersey and connecticut as we mourn the loss of thousands of our citizens business as bush continued his speech in the chaotic setting using a megaphone that projected his voice a rescue worker yelled back and said we can't hear you president bush then said i can hear you i can hear you the rest of the world hears you and the people who knock these buildings down will hear from us soon it was on may the 2nd 2011 that the last thing bin laden heard was from the united states military can i tell you although it may have been years later a promise was made and a promise was kept and i now bring it back to my scripture text god made a promise early in creation and i'm glad that god kept that promise because satan you're going to hear from me one day and the world is going to hear i love this that god in the midst of chaos spoke a i love in the midst of 9 11 that a president went there and made a promise and i'll tell you something else bring it on down to home i don't know how many touchdowns we were down by i know it was more than we there wasn't enough clock for aca to have won that flag football game they were down many touchdowns with just a minute or two to go and i observed brother zach hammond calling timeouts brother hammond why i called timeout put them out of their misery get them off the field let's go home but in the midst of that he'd call him over in a huddle and he'd start telling them how they need to work a play or he'd start telling them he'd start saying now stand over here don't let that guy get around you stand over here and do this here don't do and and he was just and and i thought it was so i don't know if he did it on purpose he's brilliant enough for it to be on purpose it would have been me it had been god but he was brill you know but it was almost as if he was saying we've lost this game but we haven't lost all games we've lost this game right here but i'm not going to waste time i'm going to go ahead and plant a flag that the next game we win we're going to with the next game we play we're going to win i'm just so thankful today to tie this together in god that when god stood in the garden of eden in the sea bed of 9 11's in the seat bed of 6 million jews in the sea bed of all kind of crime god just put a flag down and said i'm going to make you a promise i know you see all of this i know you're going to live outside the garden i know there's going to be pain and agony but let me leave you with the promise can i tell you today a promise we'll see you through sometimes when i don't get my deliverance it's been a promise that makes me get up of the morning and go another day sometimes when i know that today's probably not going to be any different than yesterday or or the day before but a promise from god causes me to get up and say today might be that day today might be that day of good news today could you give him praise right now today even in defeat our god is able to deliver a promise of victory in the midst of defeat now satan heard god say your seed and her seed are going to hate each other your seed and her seed will never get along your seed and her seed will be at war against each other not only did satan hear that but adam and eve heard that they heard that a seed would come and crush the head of the tempter that a a reverse could happen a reverse if i could use the terminology catchy a reverse to the curse that there would be a seed that would come from the woman and this seed would would bring about a reverse of this curse satan heard it not only did satan hear it but adam and eve heard it this is the reason when their recorded first children were born in genesis chapter 4 verse number 1 and adam knew eve his wife she conceived and bear came and said i have gotten a man from the lord now you can't convince me that eve and adam didn't have in their mind this is the head crusher this is what we've been waiting for we have been waiting we have been waiting for this we've lived outside of the garden we've lived in a cursed environment we've lived in in in weeds and and toil and now they witnessed the birth of this child called cain and when cain was born eve said i have gotten a man from the lord no doubt eve has on her mind he's going to crush the head of the tempter he's going to crush that head there's going to be a reverse to the curse but it must have been short-lived because we know that cain would prove to be not a man from the lord it would be cain that would kill his own brother abel and why would he kill his own brother abel it was all over it was over worship abel worshiped god acceptably and cain did not worship god acceptably and not only that in first john chapter 3 all the way to the epistles in the new testament cain is addressed first john 3 and 12 not as cain who was of that wicked one and slew his brother now let me totally remove from the table satan did not did not did not did i say did not have a sexual relationship with eve and the product was came that you'll hear that sometimes and that is so far off that it's not even funny they use these texts here not as cain who was of that wicked one what made cain of that wicked one he yielded just like his mother did he healed him just like his mother whoever you yield to is who you become like you can never separate your behavior from what you yield to you yield to entertainment it's not long you're looking dressing acting like entertainers you yield and worship sports athletes it's not long there's nothing wrong there's nothing wrong with these things but don't worship them because you can never separate yielding and behavior you will always begin to behave like what you yield to cain yielded to satan who was of that wicked one and slew his brother wherefore wherefore slew him he him because his own works were evil and his brothers were righteous now stay with me now not only did cain and not only did did adam and eve hear this promise satan heard the promise and i believe that satan if he has eyebrows arched his eyebrows as high as adam and eve when cain was born when cain was born and eve said this is the man from the lord i believe that satan thought to himself because he's not omniscient all right he's not all knowing that he said there's a promise on this child so therefore i can't leave him alone if there's a promise on you not only has god got his eye on you hell has its eye on you think it not strange when you turn your life over to god that all of a sudden you have a new enemy or he comes out of the he comes out of the darkness you know why because he knows it's a promise it's not you so much as it is the promise that is about you oh i'm not worth fighting with i'm not worth the devil's time but let god put a promise on humanity and all of a sudden it becomes all about the promise you got to get a hold of them you got to get a hold of their minds you got to get a hold of their habits because i've got to disfigure them i got to deform them i've got to do everything about because they have a promise on them you know why we're fighting things we're fighting we have a promise on us you know why cain thought what before we jump before we really jump to a judgment seat on people why don't you try to figure out where they've come from sometimes it helps you to understand people if you'll try to understand maybe their behavior i've said this before but some pharisees all they saw was a woman committing adultery that's all they saw but when jesus got a hold of her he might have saw a small girl being molested he may have saw a young girl neglected to be taken to the temple and talk the ways of god so before we get on our high horse and want to judge everything we ought to just look at look at people and say you know what i don't know where they've come from i know i was privileged to be raised in a home a mom and dad believed in god i talked about my mama last week i was privileged to do that but do you know everybody's not privileged to have that you see satan wasn't after cain so much as satan was after the promise and if i can if i can get cain and and one thing that will abort the promises of god you can have all the problems you can quote them all day long but if you don't worship they're not coming well i believe god's going to use me i think god somebody prophesied over me somebody prophesied over me and said i was going to be greatly used uh on on on on in the instruments i was going to be greatly used as a man of god or woman of god you know what that's a bunch of blah blah blah blah if you don't worship do you know how satan attacked cain not to tell him the promise wasn't true but to tell him there was no value in worship that's how he attacked cain he got to tell him you don't really have to do that you don't really have you got a promise on you you're going to be a head crusher you've got a promise on you you really don't have to worship like that you really don't have to you don't have to be so intense you don't you don't really have to sacrifice and give god you don't really have to sacrifice and give god time you don't really have to sacrifice and give god your emotions just you know just enter the enter god's presence with some fruit just just all of that and it was through worship church in order for the promises of god to come into our lives we've got to be a worshiper and we have to value worship and and worship is not some outdated thing may we never get to the place to where we view worship that's something grandma did years ago i pray to god that we'll always be a shouting church we'll always be a dancing church we'll always be an all-running church we'll always there'll always be worship that's not scripted well you know why why don't we choreograph this choreographing our worship would would be so much more but that wild stuff that people do i just think that turns people off it might turn people off but it turns god on and you see we're not worshiping for man to say we approve of you we are worshiping for god to look down and say hey gabriel did you see that that man that i brought out of the gutter got so happy that he ran around the building that man that i brought out of the gutter got so happy that he stood when nobody was standing and just begin to worship and just begin to praise god don't you ever despise worship don't you ever laugh at somebody worshiping god unless it's a holy laughter in the spirit because when somebody worships god that's a very serious thing but cain somehow somehow satan convinced cain that he didn't have to worship like his brother abel worship and we know the downfall the downfall of cain can i tell you if you if you follow the the lintage of cain in the early book of genesis if you follow the lintage of cain do you know that none of cain's descendants got on the ark do you know that none of cain's descendants was in the line with noah none of kane's descendants as a matter of fact if you just traced them down from cain to abel if you had a chart they had a chart we just traced them down you had cain you got abel cain kills abel another one is another son is given name seth and you start tracking them down you come to the seventh descendant from adam through kane and you come to a man by the name of lamech lameck was the first polygamist lamech was the lamech was the first man to say one woman is not enough for me i have to have more than one woman and he he was one of the first ones that uh violated the institution of marriage that's the seventh from adam cain and the seventh down is limit but when you come over here from cain to abel to seth and you come the seventh down you find a man by the name of enoch and the bible simply says enoch walked with god and was not because god took him he is the old testament type of the rapture of the church where is he not nobody knows he just was walking one day and walking with god and god said hey you know instead of turning around and going back to your house why don't you come on to my house today and he just walked with god and he was not don't know about you but i want to be on that other side of that lineage i want to be on the worshiping side of that lineage if you follow from the 10th if you follow down from from adam to kane and you follow 10 generations down you find a descendant of cain by the name of tubal kane tubal cain and the bible said tubal cain was an inventor he was an inventor of all kind of materials it was at tubal kane's house that you went to for the latest uh invention tubal cane in his day was the equivalent to the apple store in our mall it was tubal kane's house that you went down to it was tubal kane that would bring you out the latest the latest and the newest and the best it was tubal cane but you take the tenth generation from adam to abel to saith and you come down you find a man by the name of noah and the bible said noah found grace in the eyes of the lord and the lord said i'm about to destroy everything i've ever made i want you to build an ark and for a hundred and twenty years the same old same-o samo samo was going on but listen if you've got to be entertained every week if you've got to have a rabbit pulled out of the hat every week and you've got to have the latest and the newest and the best in your religion i'm sorry but you're going to make me miss it i would rather be on that boat it's the same hammer and nails and go get wood and go get the animal i would rather stay in a church that for 2 000 years has been saying repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of jesus christ for the remission of your sins worship come on let's worship this morning i'm talking about the plan i'm talking about the plan i'm talking about the plan talking about the plan i want to make a statement today and you must give me a little time to lay the foundation god wanted more than an innocent man his plan is to bring forth a redeemed man well if if god knew man was going to sin why did he make him because he loved it well why did he make man if he knew man was going to sin because already in his mind he already l-o-v-e he loved him he loved him well i don't i don't understand if he knows if he knows he's not going to do right why ever have him then if you if you think that then you and your wife never plan on having children you sit there you can grab her tummy and oh he's going he's going to be a perfect little buddy no no he's not she's not oh it's going it's going to be he's it's going to be so he's going to be a perfect child just pray no no no no and sometimes i get amazed you know a little mother to have a child i understand you know i'm going to protect it and stay home from church for two years and all that you know i you know i just don't know if i'm gonna let anybody hold this baby i don't want this baby get sick you know be smart about it be smart about it you know don't i understand i wouldn't let somebody hold a baby have runny nose or what whatever but you might as well go ahead and pass it around that baby's gonna get sick you don't even don't even have one if you think it's never gonna get sick don't even have one they're gonna lie to you oh come on now i see the little things character things coming up all over my mind i'm like yeah yours you're just in denial that's not in egypt that's in your mind you're not that's right but why do you have them you love them i'm going to love her more than the lie she's going to tell me i'm going to love her more than the heartbreak she's going to bring me i i'm going to i'm gonna love you more than what he's gonna trample on my heart one day there's gonna be a thing called love that comes from god that's gonna help me to be able to look at a teenager that tells me i don't have to do what you say anymore and i can say but i still love you boy i still love your daughter i still love you why did god make adam and eve if he knew there was going to sin because he loved them and love is able to cover if you're not able to love someone beyond their imperfections don't get married if you don't love somebody above their imperfections don't ever try to go to a church you got to be willing to love someone above their imperfections it's a matter of fact god don't want a perfect man god don't want a man in the garden of eden in the midst of perfection that's not what god wants god wants to redeem a man god wants for a man to how can a man ever really worship his god just living in an in a perfect environment i never know the goodness of god i'll never know the mercy of god because i've obeyed this one rule i've not ate from the tree of the of the knowledge of good i've been a good little boy jehovah i've been a good little boy today i'll never know the depths of his love until i have fallen into sin and the serpent has wrapped around me and a great god of heaven comes down and subscribed there and says you're going to hear from me soon you know why i love him today is because he knows who i am and he still loves me that's what causes me to rejoice come on praise him with me right now let the redeemed of the lord say so let the redeemed of the lord say so maybe if you're not saying anything you don't understand redemption i made you because in the plan i was going to redeem you in the plan i already redeemed you in the plan john 3 16 for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life help me not to get sidetracked here but there's a little popular doctrine in our world today and any even in our city today that's that's that's gaining some momentum it's called the doctrine of predestination the doctrine of predestination it meant before eternity began that god looked over humanity and he picked and choose who he would say if you were chosen by god in eternity past there is absolutely nothing you can ever do to be unchosen i guess it's like the uh toy story we have been chosen but if god did not choose you there is nothing you could ever do to be saved how ignorant can you be god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that the chosen frozen that who so ever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life he chose humanity he did not choose individuals he chose you first john 4 and 9 in this was manifested the love of god toward us because that god sent his only begotten son into the world that we might live through him herein is love not that we loved god but that he loved us sent his son to be the propitiation that's a covering propitiation is a covering for our sins verse chap verse 19 of the same chapter and i think we ought to read this together we love him because he you know why we're here today i'm loving god well i'm going to tell you he first loved you he first walked down in the garden of eden in the midst of 9 11 and in the midst of the holocaust and in the midst of raping in the midst of child abuse and he said this is what it's going to look like but boom i'm going to put a flag here and i'm going to tell you i am going to crush the head the seed of the woman is going to crush it was in that great plan that great love of god we love him oh let's read it again let's read it again out loud and from the heart we love him we love him eternity pass when the universe was not created somewhere in that third heaven this took place revelation 13 8 and all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him now this is referring to the antichrist whose names are not written in the book of life of the lamb slain from the foundation of the world slain from the foundation of the world not only did god have a plan of creation god had a plan of redemption and in the mind of god god had already become a man and hung on a cross and paid the price from the foundation of the world titus 1 chapter 1 verse number 2 follow this closely in hope of eternal life which god that cannot lie promise before the world begin what a god what a god what is your mess today your mess is no match for his promise you're not in a mess today that god's promise can't stick a flag in and bring about redemption in your life satan thought he had you but god said i'm going to redeem them i'm going to buy them back and i'm going to buy them out of there's not a hole that satan has that can outmatch the hole that god can say turn him loose turn her loose when that man or that woman who is in a headlock a death grip of hell begins to hear the gospel of jesus christ the death burial and resurrection they begin to hear about repentance and water baptism and the infilling of the holy ghost and somewhere in that death grip in that headlock they begin to leak they begin to believe god steps down and says turn him loose turn her loose but she's mine no she's not mine she was mine before she was yours and i've come to redeem her turn her loose that's why we need to be preaching that's why we need to be doing bible studies that's why we need to be witness that precious brother that's been visiting our church for several weeks came and gave me a card today he said i've been eating at panera bread he gave me a name of a denominal person here in this town that's hungry and that's hungry for god that's hungry that this person has got to leave got the got to go on about his business but he said if this person shows up they're hungry for god the wife is hungry for god they're tired of the church they don't preach about the blood they're tired of a cold dead church they're hungry for what we got that's why we need you at panera that's why we need everybody turn them loose turn them loose first peter chapter one verse first peter chapter one verse 19. but with the precious blood of christ as of a lamb without blemish and without spot verse 20 look at it closely who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world but was manifest in these last days last times for you that seed that seed that seed of a woman nine chapters later in genesis god appears in genesis 12 and 7 god appears and god made a promise to an elderly man and an elderly woman it's amazing the unlikelies that god makes promises to so today if you view yourself as an unlikely you're a prime candidate for a promise of god oh i could see god loving that lady over there that's got it all together well if she's got it all together and she thinks she has it all together she don't have it all together but you can be sitting here with your world falling apart knowing your world's falling apart knowing you need something from god and god is just zeroing in on you right there's what god's always used unlikelies god's always used unlikelies i'm gonna make a you know i made that i made that promise about that seed that seeded that woman i need to start it down there let me start it you're going to choose a young lively teenage girl no i'm going to choose an elderly woman that's never bore any children i'm going to choose an elderly man they've never had any children and in genesis 12 and verse 7 genesis 12 and verse 7 god made a promise and the lord appeared unto abram and said unto thy seed will i give this land and there he built an altar unto the lord who appeared unto him brother hammond watch this you know why he built an altar because the promise was unbelievable you couldn't comprehend it me you've seen me you see my wife well you never had kids you make me a promise can i tell you when god blows your mind with a promise the first thing you need to do is build an altar may he receive the gift of the holy ghost speak in other tongues not me no no first thing you need to do is come the altar before you write yourself off you need to run to the altar because the promises of god need to be at the altar where we crucify the flesh and the only thing keeping us back from the promise is our flesh that's why when god made abraham a promise that was unbelievable that was unbelievable that the first thing abraham did was build an altar well bill carpenter i remember back we had a we had a stirring revival here at the church and i just felt like god told me that my my children are coming back to god i felt like that god told me that that different things were going to happen and and it's so unbelievable but it's not happened can i ask you are you building altars are you building an altar not just a one-time altar but are you continually building altars the most unlikely person he told him in genesis 13 and 15 your seed genesis 13 and 16 god says i will make thy seed as the dust of the earth so that if a man can number the dust of the earth then shall the seed also be numbered genesis 15 5 god brought him forth abroad and said look now toward heaven and tell the stars if thou be able to number them and he said so shall thy seed be there's two times god used something that he could see to liken the seed to he said abraham if you're able to count the the sand or the dirt that's the way your seed's gonna be abram if you're able to count the stars in the heavens so shall thy seed be now let me let me introduce you to something right now let me let me introduce you to something right now when god made the promise to abraham of the seed when god made the promise to abraham of the seed he wasn't talking primarily about isaac and jacob and the jewish people some of that he was when he said i'll give them a land i'll give your seat a land that was talking to the jewish people but what he was talking about in the sea when he talked about when he talked about the seed what he was in reference to was genesis 3 15. the seed of a woman look at galatians chapter 3 and verse number 16. galatians chapter 3 verse 16. now to abraham and to his seed where the promise is made he saith not to seeds as of many but as of one and to thy seed which is christ so when he's making that promise go back to genesis 3 15 the seed of the woman is going to crush the head of the serpent when he said to abraham i'm going to bless you and your seed through your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed he's not talking about the fleshly seed of the jewish people although he has promised them that land and that's what gets the headlines every night fighting for that land because there's always enmity between the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent but what we're interested in today as spiritual sons and daughters of abraham is not a strip of land in the middle east what we're blessed by today is that seed of that woman which was christ jesus our lord that seed of that woman notice this god said if you want to liken the scene to something it's earthy and you want to liken the scene to something it's heavenly dirt stars earthy heavenly did not the seed jesus christ he is the dual man he is the son of man earthy he is the son of god heavenly he said abraham you don't know it right now but i'm going to take a seed he's going to be of the earth but he's also going to be of the heavenlies thank you jesus musicians would you please come would you please come the seed the seed matthew chapter one verse verse number one matthew chapter 1 verse number 1 the book of the generation of jesus christ the son of david the son of abraham let's start this earthly lineage out he's jesus christ the son of david and the son of abraham verse number six jesse begat david the king david begat solomon of her that had been the wife of uriah verse 16. jacob begat joseph the husband of mary of whom was born jesus who is called christ now matthew gives the genealogy through joseph it was of the jewish writers that would never include a woman in genealogy because of that day a woman a woman was just a little bit above the price of livestock as a matter of fact to all the women the live movement you ought to worship jesus christ because history will show you that he elevated and did more for women than anyone has ever done in all this world he elevated he elevated a woman luke brings the genealogy through mary luke 3 23 simply says and jesus himself began to be about 30 years of age being as was supposed the son of joseph which was the son of eli of course this is luke's genealogy comes through comes through mary but luke wanted us to know that it was the supposed it wasn't really the father joseph was not the father of jesus christ why does it start off by saying the genealogy of jesus christ the son of abraham the son of a son of david because in psalms 133 verse 11 god made a promise to david in psalms 133 verse 11 the lord hath sworn in truth unto david he will not turn from it of the fruit of thy body will i set upon thy throne again in psalms 110 verse 1 the lord said unto my lord sit thou at my right hand until i make thine enemies thy footstool do we have two lords in the bible absolutely not brother carpenter do you have one lord saying to the next no you have the lord speaking prophetically of things which are not as though they were and he says of the fruit the loins the lineage of your body i the lord the only lord the one lord i'm going to sit on the throne as a matter of fact this is such a deep subject that jesus gave an audience an opportunity to catch on to it but really if you don't know who jesus is everything stops there nothing else makes any sense baptism doesn't make sense spirit baptism doesn't make any sense if you don't really know the identity of jesus christ it kind of stops kind of stops there in matthew chapter 22 and verse 41 follow this very closely matthew 22 41 while the
