thank the lord thank the lord if you have your bibles and return with me to the second book of timothy second timothy chapter number three second timothy chapter number three and if you would bring the monitors way way way down i'm it makes me fearful that i am going to really when i want to really push on the pedal tonight god is great greatly to be praised second timothy chapter 3 verse number 1. verse number one praise god so good to be in the church isn't it so good to be in the church of the living god i want to make a an announcement normally i leave it up to someone else on the pastoral team to make these kinds of announcements but it slipped my mind tonight sister carpenter and i were doing some walking yesterday and uh this year at aca we have the largest we have the largest attendance enrollment of students every year it just keeps keeps growing and growing we'll we'll have graduations of 20 25 seniors and you just think well next year it's gonna be a low year and it just jumps up and uh is larger than the year before so uh we were walking yesterday about the time that school was being dismissed and there was a line of cars they they come in the parking lot here and they go up this side of the parking lot and they turn it was a line of cars that went out the driveway out onto brittingham and there was cars backed up on william blunt drive here waiting waiting to get in and so we created a new way they've got a double lane that's going that's going around the building so if you're a parent of an aca student please just go by this new way that we've got they said they did it today i was wanting to be here to see how well it operated they did it today and they said that very few cars they had a couple of cars that might have been on the main entrance here but uh be very mindful of that aren't you thankful for good growth amen good growth second timothy chapter number three verse number 1 this know also that in the last days perilous times shall come for men shall be lovers of their own selves covetous boasters proud blasphemers disobedient to parents unthankful unholy without natural affection truth breakers false accusers incontinent fierce despisers of those that are good traitors heady high-minded lovers of pleasure more than lovers of god having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof from such turn away for of this sort are they which creep into houses they creep into houses i guess that would make them creeps right they creep into houses and lead captives silly women laden with sins led away with divers lust ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth now is janez and jambres who withstood moses so do these also resist the truth men of corrupt minds reprobate concerning faith but they shall proceed no further for their follies shall be manifest unto all men as theirs also was what a service we had sunday night mighty god of heaven what a service and i want to continue something that i was going to preach the power of one the power of one father i love you tonight god help me to feed the congregation lord these people that have come on this wednesday evening lord to receive of your word god help me to touch the young and the old god help me lord to deposit your word that it would form the way we think the actions the attitudes of our lives god anoint your servant and i'll give you praise and honor and glory in jesus wonderful name i do pray amen and amen you may be seated brother erickson it's an interesting word you begin to study it this know also that in the last days i believe it will be a hearty amen to the fact that we are living in the last of the last days this know also that in the last days perilous times perilous times perilous is an interesting word when you look it up it simply means to tear down to tear down in the last days we know that we we've associated the word perilous with dangerous and that it is but the root word of this is to tear down to tear down to disassemble so now when you read it in light of that that in the last days tearing down times have come our moral values are being torn down things are being dissembled and getting some tickets the other day for a flight and getting those tickets they always ask male or female and i thought was it matter they say that there's actually male and female in 18 other choices that people can make so things are being torn down that's right things are being torn down i uh stumbled across this today and i'd like to share it with you tonight since some of you may be wondering what alabama judge roy moore has been doing since he was removed from the bench for refusing to remove the ten commandments from his courtroom wall thank god for judge roy moore the following is a poem written by judge moore judge moore was sued by the aclu for displaying the ten commandments in his courtroom foyer he has been stripped of his judgeship and now they are trying to strip him right to the to the right to practice law in alabama so the judge wrote a poem the other day and i'd like to share it with you america question mark america the beautiful or so you used to be land of the pilgrims pride i'm glad they'll never see babies piled in dumpsters abortion on demand oh how sweet land of liberty your house is on the sand our children wonder aimlessly poisoned by cocaine choosing to indulge their lust when god has said abstain from seed to shining sea our nation turns away from the teaching of god's love and a need to always pray we've kept god in our temples to place a killer in a well-deserved tomb but brave enough to kill a baby before he leaves the womb you think that god's not angry that our land's a moral slum how much longer will he wait before his judgment comes how are we to face our god from whom we cannot hide what then is left for us to do but stem this evil tide if we are who if we are who are his children we humbly pray and turn or we humbly turn and pray seek his holy face and mend our evil way then god will hear from heaven and forgive us of our sins he'll heal our land quickly he'll heal our sickly land and those that live with men but america the beautiful if you don't then you will see a sad but holy god withhold his hand from thee i believe the judge's poem pretty well sums up what's going on in america right now and the church doesn't need to be uninformed of what's going on in the world right now for two reasons if we truly understand what's going on in the world and and what's not going to be allowed to go on in the church you'll be thankful to raise your family here you'll be thankful to come here and when you deposit and leave your child in a sunday school room and you come on in this main auditorium you'll set in here with confidence knowing that your child is being trained the good word of god amen what a beautiful place to be in tonight the church pete budajed currently serves as the secretary of transportation for the united states i saw the other day he is an open confessed homosexual i saw the other day where it was applauding graduating says pete and his husband chaston are thankful for being parents they've adopted two children the simple reason that is two men cannot reproduce and two women cannot reproduce you say well you're judging brother carpenter you need to be careful you're judging no i'm not judging it's already been judged you see if we're too afraid to talk like this in church i promise you hollywood's not afraid to wrap it up and whether it's disney or any other form of entertainment they're not afraid to wrap it up and defeat it to our children but i'm glad to be in the church tonight so you're judging no i'm not it's already been judged i'm just telling you what the judge says it's already been judged leviticus chapter 18 verse 22 already judged it leviticus 18 22 and i will be very patient with those doing this the scriptures because we we had a power shortage right before service started tonight and it just takes a time to get everything linked back up and going and uh so leviticus 18 and 22 god says thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind it is an abomination it's already been judged leviticus chapter 20 verse number 13 if a man also lie with mankind as he lieth with a woman both of them have committed an abomination they shall surely be put to death their blood shall be upon them you see our land may not have the law that israel had in the old testament and don't think that somebody's getting by because can i tell you that eternal death is far worse than a temporary fleshly death so we already see the perilous the tearing the tearing down in the last days perilous times shall come tearing tearing down tearing down not only that do you know that on an average in america now india india far exceeds the number of abortions that was hard to believe when i when i studied that out there's 1.5 million abortions in india 1.5 million abortions yearly performed in india the united states every year there's an average of 700 000 abortions and they did make a note this in my research that we know of that we know of a covet a cove little name they use planned parenthood ain't nothing no planned parenthood nothing planned about that there's nothing planned about the parents it's the child that they're planning on exterminating see once again pastor you're judging no no i'm not judging the bible's already judged it when the first murder took place when the first murder took place when cain killed his brother abel god told him in genesis chapter 4 and verse number 10 god said these words he said what hast thou done the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground now if abel's blood cried out to god from the ground how many dumpsters behind medical so-called medical places does the blood of aborted children cry out to god and can i tell you we're living in perilous times but i'm glad to be in the church of the living god i'm glad i'm glad should should one of my daughters got pregnant out of wedlock they would not have thought about an abortion they would have thought well after their mom and daddy killed them they would have thought about the mercy of god if one of my granddaughters get pregnant out of wedlock i'm glad that they're not going to be taught that they can sneak off and dispose i'm glad they're going to be taught they've done wrong but there's mercy at the foot of the cross of jesus christ and there's many of you here tonight that were the product of being conceived out of wedlock but you were brought to the house of god and god was able to take a sin god was able to take a mistake and god was able to turn it into a trophy of grace i wish somebody helped me here tonight aren't you thankful to be in the church you're thankful to be in the church this know also let's go back to my opening text this know also that in the last days tearing down time shall come second timothy 3 1 for men shall be lovers of their own selves covetous boasters proud blasphemers disobedient to parents unthankful unholy look at what first happened before we got all the unthankful unholy disobedient to appear what happened first the tearing down the tearing down without natural affection having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof and then moses goes down excuse me paul goes down to verse number eight of second timothy chapter three and he mentions two egyptian priests two egyptian priests jaines and jamborees who withstood moses he mentions these two egyptian priests who withstood moses and then he said this so do these also resist the truth so he was saying now we have got some current day janez and jamborees and where i think the church has got to be on guard it was a loud consensus of agreement about homosexuality there was a loud consensus in this place of agreement about abortion but if we don't watch it what's going to trip the church up is going to be jainaz and jamborees they're going to be the ones because i want you to watch their trickery and notice this paul uses janez and jamborees when he's talking about the last he's talking about the last day well he says these two egyptian priests withstood moses they resisted moses well let me take you back to exodus chapter 7. we will find where this happened moses exodus chapter 7 and verse number 8 moses goes down and aaron goes down to pharaoh they've got a miracle rod in their hand that god has given them this rod can turn in to a serpent and this rod can turn back in the serpent can turn back into a rod when pharaoh asks for moses to give a sign verse number 8 chapter 7 verse number 8 and the lord and the lord spake unto moses and an aaron saying when pharaoh shall speak unto you saying show a mercy show a miracle for you then shalt thou say unto aaron take thy rod and cast it before pharaoh and it shall become a serpent and moses went in unto pharaoh and they did as the lord had commanded and aaron cast down his rod before pharaoh and before his servants and it became a serpent then pharaoh called and i could add this jane as in jamborees then pharaoh also called his the wise men and the sorcerers now the magicians of and the magicians of egypt they also did in like manner with their enchantments now moses said here's how you know that we're of god he throwed that that rod down and perished it become a serpent well pharaoh said well let me show you this and janaz and jamborees came in and they did in like manner it it appeared to be like see what's going to what we got to get the church prepared for is the imitation is that that looks like what we're doing so they threw they threw that down verse 12 for they cast down every man his rod and they became i'm at verse number 12 and they became a serpent but you got to wait don't walk out of the room yet but aaron's rod swallowed up their rods can i tell you something the world may produce an imitation a cheap knockoff apostolic church a cheap imitation feels like looks like smells like but just give it time don't judge anything too quick don't walk out of the room yet because we're in the last days and if we've ever needed to get our foot on the rock and our mind made up it is tonight first apostolic first apostolic of maryville it is tonight i wonder what those musicians did when aaron and moses rod just opened up its mouth and gobbled up their serpents and they looked but they didn't stop there janez and jambrees are con are persistent because go with me to the 22nd verse of the same chapter and the magicians of egypt did so with their enchantment pharaoh's heart was hardened neither did he hearken unto them as the lord has said this is the river turning into blood the jainas and jamborees came right along and did the same thing that they did chapter number eight verse number six this is an interesting thing because moses and aaron brought frogs up they had frogs all over the land frogs the bible said was in their bread boxes and frogs were in in their bed chambers and frogs were all over but the bible says that pharaoh called for his magicians and they did the same thing with the exception one thing the world can bring it on but they can't send it away the world can get you in trouble but it can't get you out of trouble pharaoh said all right boys y'all have done a good job bringing the frogs up now would you send them away and the and jan az and jamboree said we got a problem with that we can't send them away but can i tell you what the real church to not only bring it on we can send it away as a matter of fact that's what happens around here just about every sunday when somebody goes down in that lovely name of jesus christ because we can preach and bring it in we can bring the sinner in but we don't have to leave them there we can take them to the water in the name of jesus and send the sins away chapter 8 verse number 16 and the lord said unto moses say unto aaron stretch out thy rod smite the dust of the land and it shall become lice throughout all born all the daycare teachers just piped up right now that should yeah they shall become lies throughout all the land of egypt and they did so for aaron stretched out his hand with his rod and smoked the dust everybody say the dust smoke the dust of the earth and it became lice in man and in beast all the dust of the lamb became lies throughout all the land of egypt and the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lies but they could not so there were lights upon man and upon beast then the magicians said unto pharaoh this is the finger of god and pharaoh's heart was hardened and he hearkened not unto them as the lord had said i heard brother randy keys preach a little thought about this this message right here this is the last place oh jamborees and janae's ever withstood them oh janez and jambrees it was the last time when it came to the lies coming from the dust they had to step back said we can't touch this we we can we can we can do an illusion we can do something that looks like frogs coming out we can do something that looks like blood coming out but we cannot take dust and make life out of dust and brother keith said that's where moses left them in the dust amen and i'm going to tell you that's where the apostolic church when all of these knock-off things come around talking about they've got the power acting like they've got the power but they're licensing homosexuals and and they're doing all this stuff and and they're saying that it's a choice and all that that's where we're going to stand and we're going to leave them in the dust because i'm glad to be a part of the church of the living god come on help me praise him tonight help me praise him tonight we may get withstood but keep on staying with the truth keep on staying with the truth the power of one the power of one ah brother carpenter i just don't really know you're you're saying that you're saying that this is the only way to be saved no let me stop you sweetheart i'm not saying that the word says it. well now i just can't really understand i just can't write i can't just figure out all these other people that's not being and all that well see where are you going to put your faith in the word or in the polls you see when it comes to eternity i don't think i want to take a i don't think i i i don't want to do a number thing huh because i read too many i read too many things in the bible where noah there was only eight people that made it through the flood and if you'd have been living in that time saying you're just telling me the only the only people that's building the boat right now are going to be saved only the people's going in that i'm afraid if you had had that mentality you'd be lost now i'm not here to judge anybody the word's already done that i'm just here to try to preach the word get faith in your heart so you can believe the word and obey the word because i got news for you it's going to get a little rocky before we get out of here you you think it might be bad right now you know i'll just tell you i never believed that we would live to see the things i thought the lord would have already taken the church out of here and so i don't know how much more we're going to stay in here so we better get our foundation sure we better get some made-up minds because jamborees and janez is walking down the streets they're in our music they're in our entertainment they're in every they're in everything i want to be a part of the church i want to be i want to be a part of the church should we just love the lord right now come on could we just love the lord right now hallelujah brother tisdale he's our superintendent for the great state of west virginia brother tisdale also pastors the church there in parkersburg he texts me the day after labor day they always start their christian school the day after labor day and he texted me and he said brother carpenter this is our 42nd year of our christian school and he said brother carpenter i just want to text you this and tell you that we have a second grader in our school whose parents graduated from our school and he said we've also got that same second grader not only did that second graders parents graduate from our school but said that second graders grandparents but tyler what were you talking about tonight can i tell you brother tyler and i were having a conversation and he was talking about wanting to be a good father and have his family in the church he said he said you know right now we just fill up a pew where we're at he said but i want to be like some of these other families and like have three or four pews he said well carpenter your family's got three or four pews and i told him i said brother tyler you're looking at something that takes time it takes time but aren't you thankful it's worth the time don't let janez and jambreeze tell you to leave because janice and jambree's knows if you stay that you're going to have some children that are going to get married and they're going to get have children and one day just like that beautiful story that little second grader his parents graduated from the school his grandparents graduated but they won't stay if we don't let them know how valuable the church is how valuable i'm so thankful to be in the church tonight i am so thankful to be in this place tonight do you know sometimes the church can be like a prison wall excuse me yes it can be like a prison wall a prison wall is viewed by two ways to the inmates on the inside it's a wall that confines them but to citizens driving down the road on the outside it's a wall that protects them and can i tell you tonight the walls of zion are not a prison to me they're a great wall of protection bring me the word preacher bring me the eternal word preacher when the perilous times come and they're dismantling the moral system they're dismantling everything that this all the this uh listen i'm not getting political i'm not getting political on you i'm not getting political there's enough out in the open that says we ought to be biblical i said there's enough out in the open that says we ought to be it's not who puts the most money in your pocket that you ought to pull the lever for it's not who puts the most money that you ought to because there's a lot of things in politics i just have to stand back and say only god knows the truth about that only god knows the truth about that but i'm going to tell you there are some evident things coming out of government that i don't have to stand back and say god knows the truth i can stand back and say that's sin the bible calls that an absolute sin and the bible says that the nation that forgets god shall be turned into hell our nation has forgotten god but i'm glad tonight that there's something better than a nation there's a first apostolic church that we can run to and have our protection my mind can hear this oh somebody help me give him praise tonight turn with me to the book of ezekiel chapter number 22 oh i'm so thankful i i just ezekiel 22 and verse number 23 but could we just pause it let's thank god for the church tonight oh thank god for the church tonight thank god i i won't i won't any i want anyone fleshly kin to me tonight to stand right now if you're of my fleshly kin i want you to stand right now and thank god for the church oh thank god for the church tonight thank god for the preaching thank god for the pulpit thank god for our youth pastor thank god for our sunday school teachers thank god thank god oh thank god for sister kim reif that's teaching our little grandson in the k-5 and she's teaching him the scripture up there in the room she's teaching him to pray she's teaching him the word of god oh thank god for my christian school that's got a hold of my granddaughters oh they're teaching my my granddaughters they don't have to be intimidated nobody's going to make fun of them for the way they dress nobody's going to make fun of them for what they believe their god-given hair has given them about they're not going to be made fun of because they believe they should be a virgin until they go to their their honeymoon oh god i'm glad for the church i'm glad for the church are you you allowed god you allowed your pastor to put on you the perimeters of who was eligible to date and who was not and it was in the church because i want you to know son you married a girl that was brought up by a godly mother and father you married a girl that had the right thing put in her you married a girl that her parents instilled in her the values and the love of the house of god oh friend you you you didn't you you didn't do that missionary date and hope that you could win somebody hope you could win them to the truth because listen you might get somebody converted but there's just something that you can't replace a lifestyle of a little girl that's brought up as a little girl to know loyalty to no values to know that that when and and and our marriages all of our marriages will go through times of of adjustment but thank god when you've raised your families together and you've raised them in the house of god i'm going to tell you what was put in that little girl that was put in that little girl that when she stood in front of her pastor and she said i take thee josh weatherly for richer for poor for better for worse in sickness and in hell she really meant that because that comes to our lives you better understand that we're trying to get a church ready for the rapture we're trying to get that's why we say date in the church that's why we say stay in the church stay in the church stay in the church and say well bill carpenter now you need to cover me i i wasn't brought up i i'm first generation well wow shazam i was first generation two and if you're first generation sell out sail out sell out sell out if you're first generation you don't have to hang your head if you're first generation you don't have to feel like you're a second-class citizen table in louisiana with a bunch of uh of my peers and we were in a with a conference and they start at the end of the table introduce yourself give your bio give your bio introduce yourself i didn't even know what a bio was i thought that was i thought that was bingo's cousin i didn't know what bio was and i figured out as they were it was telling who the and there's nothing wrong listen i'm glad that nolan's got a testimony his dad's a preacher i'm glad that when i went and greeted the k-5 class this week sister ryf that you introduced and said that's beckham's granddad there i'm so great i'm so glad for that but i've also told my kids that that gets you nothing anointing is not transferable it's not hereditary if you're gonna get it you gotta get it the same way i got it come on second generation let go your mama skirt tail come on second generation let go of your daddy's coattail if you're gonna get what they got you gotta get as hungry as they got oh god move on our second burkett my dad changed tires on magnolia avenue in knoxville tennessee on friday my dad brought home a pound of bologna and we evermore had a little treat because it was a deli kind of hooked kind of connected there so one thing let me just tell this straight my dad did an honorable thing he worked and he provided the best john virgil carpenter and ruby lois carpenter my mother was a caretaker some of the early memories of my childhood is my dad dropping my mother off late at night down off of kingston pike in the very affluent neighborhoods and my mother was a caretaker and i'm going to tell you something don't you ever be ashamed of what your parents do for a living don't you ever hang your head because we've got a generation right now that don't know what work means we have got a generation i i don't forgot i'm sitting down we've got a generation of entitlement and we're headed to socialism as fast as we can get there and if you've ever been to a country that's got socialism in it you'll know why they're swimming rivers and riding trains to get over here to this country and they're hoping that we never turn into that hard work hard work's good for you sweat's good for you oh it's good for you at the end of the week when you get a paycheck you seem to view the 20 different you view what you've got different why because nobody gave it to you you work work work work work work work for it yeah i just had a burden all day to come to the church and tell us tonight we've got to rejoice that we're a part of the church it came down to my end of the table how in the world am i ever going to tell them my daddy changed tires for good your tire company so i changed the story see i got two fathers i got an earthly father that i'm proud of and i've got a heavenly father that i worship now my dad lord you got this tonight my dad the only time i ever saw my dad in church was at his funeral it's the only time i ever saw it but my dad had one thing that he instilled in me that to this day is with me the right spirit toward the ministry the right spirit is one thing you don't want to put in your children don't you turn them off to this church we can't resurrect at the church what you're killing at your house maybe there could be some repenting going on after service or maybe maybe right now but you hear me we can't resurrect strong tower will never resurrect what you kill in the conversation between here in the restaurant tonight no jokes or no smirks right now but i was about five to seven years old i was with my father we were on clinton highway at a place called gateway hardware my dad had went in to get something as a matter of fact it was a barber shop we might have went and got a haircut there was a barber shop right beside gateway hardware i got in a car i was so small this is where the no smirks come in i was so small that sitting in the seat i couldn't see completely out the side window i can now okay this man came walking up to my dad's side and first off what intrigued me about the man was his voice there was something about his voice didn't sound like anybody had ever heard before and i looked over at him and he had a white shirt rolled up his hair was kind of been blowing in the wind a little bit and he was talking to my dad about getting some pipe threaded for some plumbing and then another thing happened that was unusual i'd never heard this name i heard him say well brother mccool and i thought man that's an unusual name i probably thought that's a cool name brother mccool and my dad talked to that man and i have never heard my dad make this statement about another man when the conversation ended my dad looked over at me and i said dad who was that he said son that's a great man right there said that's a great man and this is what my dad said my dad said he'll probably be our president someday he'll probably be our president he's a great man and i can remember sister rhonda i can remember wanting to know what a great man looked like and i set up and i looked out the window i really believed that my father planted it within me for the fuller i really believe that my father i really believe that he planted in me a love for the ministry because years later when my mother would put me in that christian school my father hadn't tainted me my father didn't say son there goes another one there money grabbing lazy preachers son there goes another one of them skirt chasing chicken eating preachers right there that there goes another one of them lazy bums right there there goes another one that money guys right there i wonder where i'd be right now today had my father said oh that's another one those guys that don't work that's another one those chicken eating guys oh no my dad put in me a love for the ministry and i attribute it right now that i love my pastor i revere my pastor i i was raised by the very best pastor that has ever been and still is my pastor to this day can i tell you that when it got to my end of the table and they started asking me about your dad i said my dad had a ministry of about three and a half years i said my dad had the dead raised my dad had miracle signs and wonders and about that time somebody caught on said you talking about jesus i said i am talking about jesus boys cause my dad i'm first generation here at this table my dad changed tires at good at free service tire company but that listen friend when it comes to the house of god or the kingdom of god it doesn't matter if you're a bethany ammons weatherly or you're somebody that just got in you're a penny bennett that just got in for the first time god has got a plan for all of us god has got a plan we can just worship god's got a plan god's got a plan god's got a plan god's got a plan why do you just worship for a moment oh god's got a plan come on just worship for a moment oh god if i've said anything about my children's teachers god if i've said anything about our elders god if i said anything about our youth pastor god if i said anything to my children god oh god in the name of jesus god help us tonight oh god help us tonight please just bear with me a few more moments i told you to turn to ezekiel chapter 22 verse number 23 the word of the lord came unto me saying son of man say unto her thou art the land that is not cleansed nor rained upon in the day of indignation he goes on he talks about there's a conspiracy verse 25. there's a conspiracy of her prophets notice he calls these prophets her prophets the reason they're not called his prophets is they were not prophesying the word of god there is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof like a roaring lion ravening the prey they have devoured souls they have taken the treasure and precious things they have made many widows in the midst thereof false prophets church if i can preach anything to you tonight stay away from false prophets you say well bill carpenter how will i know they're a not destroy it but i found none can i tell you the beauty of the church it only takes one person here to change it just one look at this and we will go home god said when it comes to the church all i need is one if i just had one person that would stand in the gap i wouldn't destroy them if i just had one voice that would lift it up against sin if i just had one voice that would cry out holy holy
