well if you have your Bibles go to Genesis CH 1 verse number one ought to be easy to find Genesis 1 in verse number one and uh we had dinner Sunday after church with the Purdue and uh they've been here now for going on I think three years and he paid this church one of the greatest compliments he said the one thing I've learned about fac miracille it doesn't matter if it's Sunday morning Sunday night Wednesday night Wednesday night prayer he said it doesn't matter you all give it everything you've got every service every service it you you you prayer is a big deal uh taking up the offerings a big deal you you know why isn't Jesus worthy come on isn't he Worthy isn't he worthy sure he is I want to tell you before I read this before I read this text tonight and I guess in today's um vocabulary I need to say this text from the Bible before I read this tonight I want to tell you as pastor of this church I want to speak on behalf of my entire family thank you all for your love thank you for your support thank you for all that you mean to the carpet Carpenter Erikson and Hammond family thank you so very very much truly um we live the dream we personally believe that this is the greatest Church um in Pentecost I've often said it's the greatest church at any cost it is a great church and I love you I thank you tonight for all of your kind gestures and all that you've been doing throughout this season I love you I wish I wish there was another way of just simply saying it I love you and I thank you for allowing us to be your pastor amen hope you have fun over the Christmas um season the holiday season the weekend whatever I hope that you eat I hope you laugh um I hope you throw all diets out the window unless you're doctor says otherwise and I just hope you have a good time amen I hope you have a good time all right y'all ready for the word tonight Genesis 1 and one in the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth and the Earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep and the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters my title tonight is simply this and I want we're going to we're going to add to this your you're going to add to it but the Bible has often been said to be a bloody book that people say it's a bloody book it's full of sacrifices it's a bloody book this Bible is a watery book this Bible is soaked with water so tonight on this Wednesday night I want to teach on the value the value of water the value of water would you put your Bibles down and ask God to touch your heart tonight as I minister to the word God these are your sheep and Lord you told me that if I loved you that I would feed your sheep you said Lord if I love you I'll feed your sheep now Lord you know that's what I've been doing God I've been studying your word God to give them something tonight that would build faith in their heart that would cause them to see you and your place more clearly now Lord for the next few moments God anoint my lips of clay I'll give you the praise in Jesus name we pray amen amen you may be seated the value the value the value of water the value of water now listen real closely most of you might may have known this um but if not um be amazed as I am all of the water that is on the Earth has always been here all of the water that's on the Earth has always been here the Earth never gets water added to it we never have more water added to the Earth neither does water dis disappear from the earth now just hang with me on this may seem a real simple at the first we understand that water is constantly recycled in a process that we know as the water cycle now when you take into consideration Genesis 1 through two when you take into consideration that the Bible simply says that the Earth was without form shape void empty and darkness was upon the face of the deep and the spirit of the Lord a god moved up on the face of the waters now it's really needful that we stop here at verse two and present to you a a view present to you A View that this Earth one of the reasons the Earth was created everybody say one of the reasons one of the everybody say so I know that I don't one of the reasons one of the reasons not the only reason but one of the reasons that the Earth was created was to be a suitable living place for the Fallen Angels a suitable living place for the Fallen Angels says that in the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth and the Earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep and the spirit of God moved upon the face of the water but God does not speak his creative creation until he speaks light so this was a creation of God suitable for Rebellion suitable for the angels that had fallen in Rebellion he created them an earth that was without form it was void and I believe that the darkness here is not just a literal Darkness but it is the power of evil the power the power of evil we find in Isaiah chapter 14 and verse number 12 Isaiah gives us a Peak at what happened in heaven he says in verse 12 how art thou fallen from Heaven oh Lucifer son of the morning how are cut down to the ground which did weaken the Nations for that you have said in your heart I will Ascend into heaven I will exalt my throne above the the stars of God I will sit also in the mount upon the Mount of the congregation the sides of the north I will Ascend above the heights of the clouds I will be like the most high yet Thou shalt be brought down to Hell to the sides of the pit we understand that Satan got out of a Godly order that he was created for he was not created to be worshiped he was created to be a worshipper he was not created to be God he was created to worship God but Satan got out of order when Satan got out of order and led a rebellion of a third of an innumerable number of angels Jesus in Luke 10:1 17 gives a little bit of what happened the Bible says in Luke 10:17 and the 70 returned turned with Joy saying Lord even the devils are subject unto us to thy name man they were just really happy that they had power over evil spirits and Jesus said unto them I beheld sat as lightning fall from Heaven in other words I was there I was there when he was cast out of Heaven down to the Earth that I describe to you Ezekiel 28:12 again Ezekiel gives a a Peak at Satan in his former glory of being a worshipper son of man take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus and say unto him thus sayth the Lord God thou seest up the sum full of wisdom perfect in Beauty thou Hast been in Eden in the garden of God every precious stone was thy covering the Sardis the topaz the diamond the Burl the Onyx The Jasper the sapphire the emerald the carbuncle and gold the workmanship of thy tabrets and thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that you were created Thou Art the anointed cherum thou coverest and I have set thee so thou was upon the holy mountain of God thou Hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire thou was perfect in thy way from the day that thou was created till iniquity what is Iniquity lawlessness rebellion was found in thee by the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence and thou H has sinned therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the Mountain of God I will destroy the old covering chair from the midst from the midst of the stones of fire thine heart was lifted up because of thy Beauty thou Hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness I will cast thee to the ground I will lay thee before kings that they may behold thee so now giving sense to Genesis 1 verse 1 and two of why the Earth was without form and darkness without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the Earth this was the Abode of demons this was the living place of Fallen spirits but God God had a plan you see God is so powerful God is so powerful that God can do a work wherever God pleases to do a work brother Marshall God could have just left Lucifer on that for lack of a better word Planet void and empty and darkness God could have went somewhere else and created an Earth but God in his master plan don't you ever think the devil can outsmart God because he cannot God shows up in Genesis chapter one the spirit of God moved upon the waters in verse three of Genesis 1 and God said let there be light and there was light God saw the light that it was good and God divided the light from the darkness again it is my personal opinion here this is not the sun this is not the Sun that gives light because the sun does not come to being I believe to the fourth day it comes in it comes into being this light is the Divine manifestation of the glory of God and God makes a division between light and darkness how many are thankful that you once walked in darkness but now you walk in light God called the light day and the Darkness he called night in the evening and the morning were the first day verse five verse six the value of water and God said let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters and let it divide the waters from the waters and God made the firmament and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament and it was so and God called the firmament Heaven and the evening and the morning were the second day so now this word firmament here is an expanse or it is literally to help us understand it is a blanket of vaporized water that surrounds the the earth a blanket of vaporized water it's just in a different form it's water but it's in a vaporized form and God separated if you'll please notice with me tonight maybe underline that the first thing that God did the Bible the Bible says that God said let the waters be divided let there be a divide when he begin to work with water he said let there be a div divide and the division created a body of water and then a firmament of water or a vaporized blanket that was around that was around the earth verse number eight verse number eight God called the firmament heaven in the morning and the evening were the second day and God said let the waters under the heaven be gathered together under one place and let the dry land appear and it was so God called the dry land Earth and the Gathering Together of the waters called he seas and God saw that it was good once there was a division in the water once there was a division in the water then there were a ga there was a gathering together of the water from the Gathering Together of the waters that produce Seas lakes rivers and strings but God's not finished with water it would appear to me and I've not had I've really not didn't have time to really check this out today but Genesis chapter 1 the creative chapter water seems to take front seat at creation because it starts with water already there water is already there there was no place in Genesis 1 that God said let there be water when God showed up there was already there was already water that he had created that was there but God's not through yet Genesis 1: 20 and God said let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life and foul foul that may fly above the Earth in the open firmament of heaven and God created great Wells and every living creature that moveth which uh which the waters brought forth abundantly after their kind and every winged foul after his kind God saw that it was good and God blessed him saying be fruitful multiply fill the waters in the seas and let the foul multiply in the earth and the evening and the morning with the fifth day now value of water I think it's absolutely Majestic that from the water came both fish and foul from the water came two different kinds of creatures one that needed the water to survive and the other that needed to get out of the water to survive he created to I I I I I think it would be absolutely awesome if God allows us brother sinata in eternity to view that creation day would you not love to see the mighty bald eagle come up out of the water Shake itself and take flight wouldn't you like to look across a steel body of water and watch some of the most beautiful birds just come up and begin to fly out of that water and so God is showing us here that from the water comes two different types of creature one that needs the water to to survive and one that needs to get out of the water in order to survive so we understand the value of water that it played that it played in creation the value of water played a major role in creation but shortly thereafter when man sinned and when man be began to go deeper and deeper in the Avalanche of sin and man begin to get gross more more gross and more vile in sin and the Bible says in Genesis 6 verse 17 God says and behold I it's God I even I do bring a flood of waters upon the Earth To Destroy All Flesh wherein is the Breath of Life from under heaven and every th everything that is in the Earth shall die but with thee will I establish my Covenant and thou shalt come into the ark thou and thy sons and thy wife and thy son's wife with thee and of every living thing of All Flesh to of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark to keep them alive with thee so they they shall be male and female I know that wouldn't be politically correct today but they shall be male and female isn't it amazing that God used water in creation but God also used water in judgment but not only did he use water in judgment he also used water in Salvation of man's day for water would play just as water produced both fowl and fish that same water would be destructive or Redemptive and it all hinged on one word obedience build an ark Noah follow my plans Noah build it just as long long as I tell you to not an inch longer build it as wide as I tell you to not an inch wider build it as tall put one door in not Five Doors do everything the way that I tell you go for wood and that's the type of wood I want pitch within and without that's exactly the way I want it and if you will follow me in obedience Noah the same Waters that will destroy life will save your life I want you to know that if I had been living in Noah's day I hope I would have been on the Redemptive side of the water but it didn't stop there sometime later God would give Moses the blueprints for What's called the Tabernacle in the wilderness the Tabernacle in the wilderness it would be where God himself would dwell on Earth with man God himself would give man a plan for man to come once a year into his presence but don't mistake water is going to play a role and a vital role for in Exodus chapter 30 Exodus 30 and verse number 17 and the Lord spake unto Moses saying Thou shalt also make a labor of brass and his foot also of brass to wash with all and thou shalt put it between the Tabernacle of the congregation and the altar and thou shalt would you read it with me the rest of it and thou shalt put God is saying you are to put what in there you're to put water therein follow this closely for Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and feet there at when they go into the Tabernacle of the congregation they shall wash with say the word with me water that they now I'm telling you the same God that we're embracing today in his word is the same God that told Noah build an ark you'll save your family but what if Noah hadn't to build an ark well I'll answer that for you PL he would have died with the rest of the people he would have died with the rest of it well what if his back hurt and he didn't really feel like going to make wood what if his kids kicked up and didn't want to build a boat it didn't matter you're going to die with the rest so Noah built a boat built an ark and Noah was saved now what if I'm in a hurry and and and I've got things to do Aaron I I really got I've got I I really got things to do I've got a game I got to be at I got to I I really need to get in a hurry I got to get home and and that that washing my hands and feet takes a little while what if I decide today I'm not going to wash what was going to happen Church we're going to die because that's what the Bible said the Bible says that they were to wash at the labor with water that they die not or when they come near to the altar to minister to burn offerings made by fire unto the Lord so we see how the value of water was even in the Tabernacle now I I guarantee you if you all will take this serious and take this home you can find more things in the Bible where God used water matter of fact one comes to mind just right off the bat how about namon the leper how did he get healed well we know that God healed him right we know there was nothing special about Jordan water but God used Jordan's water because there's a value there's a value in water I promise you there's more hidden All Through the Bible where God used water matter of fact God used matter of fact God turned their water off in Israel for 3 and 1/2 years to wake them up so God uses water God came to Earth we're at that season we're celebrating God came to Earth as a man in Christ Jesus as a man in Christ Jesus God came to Earth he was 30 years before he entered his ministry think about that he lived some 3 three and a half years he was 30 years before he entered the ministry but before he taught one lesson before he healed one leper before he ever cast out one devil this happened Matthew 33 313 then cometh Jesus From Galilee to Jordan unto John to be baptized of him but John forb him oh I I don't want to baptize you saying I have need to be baptized of theee and comest thou to me Jesus answering said unto him suffer allow it permit it to be so now for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness then he suffered him you know why Jesus was baptized not for sin but because he was flesh and the Bible said it was the counsil in the will of God for All Flesh to be baptized in preparation for the Messiah and God though he was in flesh God submitted because he was in flesh Watch What Happens and Jesus verse 16 and Jesus when he was baptized went up straight way out of the water and lo the heavens were opened unto him and he saw the spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting upon him and low a voice from heaven saying this is my beloved Son in whom I'm well pleased do you understand I want you to get the analogy here I think it's super I want you get I want you to get the understanding here we don't start off as sheep we don't start off as sheep we start off as fish where's that at he said follow me and I will make you to become Fishers of Men before we are sheep that live out of the water we are fish that live in the water and the only thing that can Deliver Us from this atmosphere to where we can live in another atmosphere is the gospel the acts 238 message uh by the way by the way the Born Again message I believe it's got a little water tucked in there I hear the Lord saying You must be born again of the somebody shout it you must be born again of the and the spirit now it's interesting it's interesting that the Holy Ghost the spirit of God when Jesus came up out of that water that it would manifest itself or be likened unto a dove which is a bird because in the original creation what came out of the water fish and foul and the water caus The Obedience caus there to be a declaration and a validation oh let's don't stop now the first miracle turning the first miracle turning water into wine look at what he did the value of water he showed his divinity for it is God who created water it is God who created this substance it is God that gave it to us at the beginning of creation and has added none nor taken any away but still is here he turned the water into wine but that's not the only thing he did with water in Matthew 14: 2025 the Bible said the disciples were in a in a storm and Jesus came walking unto them on the water not only that there's a blind man there's a blind man in John chapter n verse number seven there's a blind man that meets with Jesus and Jesus spits anoints uh the the dirt pushes it in the eyes of the blind man and gives him the command to go wash in the pool of salom and when he went and he washed he came again seeing the value of how God uses water Jesus has been crucified Jes Jesus has rose from the dead on the third day Jesus has spent 40 days teaching his disciples he's on a mountain he's about to ascend into heaven and in Matthew 2818 some of the last words spoken by Jesus on this Earth and Jesus came and spake unto them saying all power is given unto me in heaven and in Earth go ye therefore and teach All Nations baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Ghost teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you and lo I'm with you always even to the end of the world Amen it's no coincidence that the last thing he left his disciples to go preach was water baptism was water baptism look at Mark 16 verse number 15 and let me just tell you that I am so glad to embrace the biblical doctrine that water does play a role in our Salvation water does play a role why why is that the Bible says it look at Mark 16:1 15 Jesus said unto them go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every preacher he that believeth say those next three words with me and and is baptized shall be what saved he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved it's a simple math believing plus baptism equals salvation he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved but he that believeth not not shall be damned now sometimes when you're witnessing to people they will say but it doesn't say he that believeth not and is not baptized shall be damned it didn't have to add the baptism part because if you're not a Believer you can be baptized so many times I've said it before you can be baptized so many times in the creek that the tadp know your social security number but you'll go in a dry Sinner and you'll come up a wet sinner but if you believe the gospel the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ that he died for your sins he rose again for your justification that when you go down it's not a part of joining this church you're not joining this church you're not even giving a public display of your faith in Christ you are baptized in the New Testament Church for the remission of the sins that you have committed you are born again out of the water come on give God a big hand of praise for that now Peter in First Peter First Peter chapter number three 1 Peter chapter number three and verse number 18 it reads as follows for Christ also hath once suffered for sins he suffered for our sins the just for the unjust that he might bring us to God being put to death in the flesh but quickened by the Spirit by which it's by the Spirit by which also he went and preached and the spirits in prison which sometime were disobedient disobedient when Once the Longs suffering of God waited in the days of Noah while the ark was a preparing wherein few that his eight Souls were saved by water now wait a minute God preached to that Generation Now Jesus Christ didn't preach to him because he wasn't begotten until bethlehem's manger as a man but the God that was in Christ preached to those people to repent join in with Noah join in and build this boat you can get on this boat join in he preached unto these people that were in prison now I want to read verse 20 again which sometime were disobedient when Once the long suffering of God waited in the days of Noah while the ark was a preparing wherein few that is eight Souls were saved by what water the like figure look at that next verse first the like figure in other words Noah was saved from the corruption of the world through water the same water that destroyed immoral man lifted up righteous Noah the like figure whereinto even baptism doth also now save us look at this church baptism do also now save us not the putting away of the filth of the Flesh in other words it's not the water cleansing you when you go down in in the in the water not the putting away of the filth of the flesh but the answer of a good conscience toward God by the resurrection of Jesus Christ what's the answer of a good conscience the answer is God commanded All Flesh to be baptized and I am going to have a good conscience and I'm going to say yes to baptism ISM I'm going to say yes to being baptized in that wonderful name if you're glad that you have been buried in the name of Jesus would you for a moment give him praise and adoration would you for a m if you've been baptized in that wonderful name would you give him praise and adoration that you've been baptized in that name oh Hallelujah the value of water the value of water now in second Peter chapter number three and verse number 10 Peter wants to remind the people of the coming of the Lord please a lot of people get their Bibles all in a knot when they mistake the Rapture for the second coming of Christ to the Earth these are two different separate events we're talking here in second Peter 3 and10 about the second coming and things that will transpire verse 10 Peter says but the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night in the which the heavens shall pass away with great noise and the elements shall melt with fervent heat the Earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up that's why you don't want your heart on the material things of this world I I I don't care they can show buildings in Dubai they can show buildings in Las Vegas they can show the modern works of architect I got news for you it's all going to go up in Flames one day everything even even even this beautiful structure that we build the Earth is going to be burned up you see when we understand this I hope it causes you to put your heart on things of God and not on the things of this Earth verse 11 or let me let me read verse 10 again but the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night this is not the Rapture the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night in the which the heavens shall pass away that means die with a great noise and the elements shall melt with fervent heat the Earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up it's all going to be burned up now watch Peter verse 11 seeing then that all these things shall shall be dissolved what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness he says seeing that all of this is going to burn up what kind of person should you be living what kind of individual should you be in all holy conversation and godliness verse 12 looking for and hastening unto the coming of the great day of God God wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved and the elements shall melt with fervent heat nevertheless we according to his promise look for new heavens and a new Earth wherein dwelleth righteousness wherefore beloved seeing that you look for such things be diligent that you may be found of him in peace without spot and blameless Peter just simply says don't get tied up in this world and materal things of this world don't waste your life trying to get more all right don't live by the Golden Rule he that has the gold rules don't don't don't don't don't live by that rule I just got to get more and more and more the only thing you need to be Desiring of God will meet our every needs oh yes he will God will give us happiness and joy down here on this Earth to a certain degree with material things but when your main Joy and your main desire is bigger better and more you're going to miss out on what God has in store for you doesn't have anything against us having material things but he has something against material things having us right there's nothing wrong with having material things but when material things start having you and he says seeing that this is going to all burn up you ought to live a life that is pleasing to God you ought to live a life you ought to walk gently before the Lord that you be found in him in peace he said it's all going to go up in Flames well Revelation chapter 21 let's go there almost to the end of the Bible almost to the end of the Bible Revelation CH 21 verse number one the value of water the value of water John said Revelation 21 And1 and I saw a new Heaven and a new Earth for the first Heaven and the first Earth were passed away is what Peter talked about and there was no more sea there was no more sea that's interesting we say that means there's no more water no not actually there's just no more sea and I John saw the holy city New Jerusalem coming down from God out of Heaven prepared as a bride adorned for her husband and I heard a great voice out of Heaven saying behold the now watch this the Tabernacle of God is with men the Tabernacle of God the tent where God lives is with men they called a tent a tabernacle brother Wilson the Tabernacle of God is with men and he will dwell with them and they shall be his people this this Tabernacle of God is a is a he and a him and they shall be his people and God himself shall be with them and be their God and God shall wipe away all tears so somebody get happy right now and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more now death doesn't mean anything to you unless you've lost somebody you love but when you've lost somebody that you love and you read the Bible to where there's coming a day when there'll be no more death there there's not going to be any more sister Yoko there's not going to be anymore over there the unexpected news of cancer you know why there's a new Heaven and there's a new Earth and oh don't you want to go there oh don't you want to go there do you know what I want to work on my life I don't want to have anything in my life that's displeasing to my God I said oh don't you want to go there I want to keep my I want to keep my lamp burning I there shall be there shall be there shall be no more death y y'all just y'all just look at it with me and there shall be no more death neither sorrow nor crying neither shall there be any more pain for the former Things Are I can't wait to attend the funeral of death for the former things have passed away and he that sat up on the throne said behold I make all things new and he said unto me write these words are true this is not a fable write these words are true and they are faithful can I tell you tonight if I believe this and I do I've got everything to gain for it can I tell you if there was no heaven and if there was no hell and there was no God now we know there is but brother Troy if there was no Heaven no hell and no God the lifestyle that we Embrace is by far the greatest way to live down here on this Earth but I got good news there is a God and there is a heaven and I want to go there to be with him life is but a wispy Vapor life is but a wispy Vapor that's all it is here today and gone tomorrow we're just in a rehearsal right now we're just in the rehearsal right now Lo Lord have mercy behold I pray today I prayed today I said this is going to be a cold bible study on the value of water but here can I just tell you tonight can I just tell you tonight that there is a heaven and there is a God let me keep on for the former things have passed away and he sat upon the throne said behold I make all things new and he said unto me write for these words are true and faithful I can't get off this point without making if you're sitting here tonight scof I feel so sorry for you if you're sitting here tonight either scof or I I I just don't know about that or you're sitting here and you're a procrastinator I feel so sorry for you tonight because all through eternity there will be weeping and nashing of teeth and regretting why didn't I listen why didn't I TR and you know what not only is it the preacher telling you I have no doubt in my mind that the holy spirit of God just like it moved upon Noah's day and was going up and down the alleys of immorality saying you better listen to that man over there you better listen to that man over there it's going to come a rain it's going to come a flood I know he looks like a lunatic building a boat out here 200 miles from a body of water but you better listen to him you can laugh at him you can scoff at him but when the rain begins to fall you're going to want to be on that boat but it's going to be too late to get on thatat B when the church has been raptured when the times of dispensations have changed I beg you tonight to listen to the pleading of the Holy Ghost tonight turn your life over to him ask God to give you strength well I can't live it you're right you can't live it you got to have him to help you live it I I I just don't know if I can make it you're not going to make it but if you'll begin to be a worshipper and a prayer Warrior if you be oh please I beg you the value oh the value of the value of water verse six and he said unto me the one on the throne the one on the throne said unto me it is done I am Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end I will give to him that is a thirst of the Fountain of the Water of Life freely he that overcometh shall inherit all things and I will be his God and he shall be he he shall be my son I could tell you who the Alpha and the Omega is there's Jesus Christ Revelation 1:1 Revelation 17 Revelation 117 and verse 18 but let's go a little further let's go a little further Revelation 21 verse 22 and I saw no Temple there I saw no Dwelling Place I saw no house of worship I saw no Temple there for the Lord God Almighty and the lamb are the Temple of it notice this this this is a great brother martin this is a great godhead verse right here Paul John said he looked around he said I didn't see a temple I didn't see a place he said the Lord God Almighty and the lamb these are not two this is the Dual nature of Jesus Christ Divinity and Humanity God all Mighty and the lamb if there's two separate beings things this should read are the temples plural but it's Temple singular because he is God Almighty and he is the lamb and the city oh what a city oh what a city and the city had no need of the sun neither of the moon to shine in it for the glory of God did now God has got water for you God has got satisfaction for you you don't have to live life trying to exist God's got this refreshing water for you God's got this cleansing water for you could we lift
