you would turn with me to the Book of Job Job chapter 1 verse number nine Job chapter 1 and verse number n while you're looking for that um first lady and I are so glad to be back home uh we were we were away last week at brother Tony's and um it's we we get get the better trade here I'm going to tell you no false humility here I've went and preached for Him Sister Karen I've went and preached for him on a Sunday brother Tony's going to come back and preach for us on a Sunday all right and you'll get I promise you you're going to get the better end of that trade there and so we're glad to be we're glad to be back home and first lady's been under weather uh been sick with flu and was unable to be here Wednesday night it's always good to reach over and and Pat her on the back during worship it's a a habit of mine and um I was patting I think it was Nolan on the back Wednesday night and uh I like patting you on the back a whole lot better all right job 1 verse 9 then Satan answered the Lord and said do job fear God for not hast thou not made a hedge about him and about his house and about all that he hath on every side thou Hast blessed the work of his hands and his substance is increased in the land but now but put forth thine hand now touch all that he have and he will will curse thee to thy face he will curse you to your face let's pray Jesus I felt like that you spoke to my spirit this morning and you told me in my spirit I heard these words I have a blessing for someone today Lord before I roll P out of the bed I heard your voice in my spirit say I have a blessing for someone today Lord I ask that you would anoint me for the next few moments that I would take your word and bless your people with your word your people would be drawn closer to you after this word has been given father if you'll touch your servant today I will be ever ever ever so much mind ful to give you the praise and the honor and the glory Lord for no flesh will glory in your presence in Jesus name we all pray amen and amen you may be seated today I want to preach on three simple words just three simple words then now and when why don't we say that title with me today to help you to remember it then again now and when you know as well as I do you're old enough we used to call this the adult Bible study class all right anybody remember that when we would call this the adult Bible study class you're old enough now to know that life consists your life my life our life consists of Seasons Seasons you know that nothing changes nothing excuse me nothing stays the same seems like that we're in a constant we're in a constant change in life sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad sometimes I've got seasons of my life that I don't want to see in Lord just keep me in the springtime I'll tell you today that fall is my favorite time of the year I I absolutely love fall not too hot not too cold Lord let the let fall just just stay right here but that season doesn't stay it ushers in the the winter months the cold months The Frigid months the ice the snow the thread of ice and snow and the empty pews amen so all of that it's like Lord let spring come let let Springtime come the seasons of your life right that you would you'd like to see that season go it's h you stayed up to midnight if the Lord would tell you tomorrow the season changes you would stay up to midnight tonight to wave goodbye as it as as it goes by life is just a bunch of Seasons that's simply the truth it's a it's a bunch of Seasons as a matter of fact the wise man Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes 3 and verse number one he said to us he said to everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven time to be born time to die time to plant time to pluck up that which is planted time to kill time to heal time to break down time to build up time to weep A Time To Laugh A Time to mourn a time to dance a time to Cast Away stones time to gather Stones together a time to embrace a time to refrain from embracing a time to get a time to lose time to keep a time to Cast Away time to rent time to sew a time to keep silence a time to speak time of love a time of hate time of war and a time of be wow all these different times in our life but you know if verse 1-8 was all I could read out of that I'd have to scratch my head and say man things are always going to be changing but verse 11 of that same chapter gives me a lot of Hope because chapter 3 of Ecclesiastes in verse 11 God hath made everything beautiful in his time now and things change and I don't like the this season to leave and I wish to God this season would leave I stand in the middle of them and I say to my God that I worship I say God you're going to take my good season and you're going to take my bad season and you're going to make it all so beautiful in your time believe it or not there's ugly things that have happened to us that if we allow God to work in our lives we can look back on that season and say God you created something beautiful in that season I opened up today with a not so pleasant text it's a text that a conversation was had in heaven the conversation was had when God the creator of all the Angels requires them to come and give an account of the power that he gave the Bible said that as the Angels Came that Satan had to come there he had to give an account Satan where you you been I've been going to and fro throughout the Earth walking up and down in it now the Apostle Peter gives us a little more insight he is as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour and so he said Satan give an account and Satan said I've been walking up and down to and fro throughout all the Earth and uh God says to him him well have you considered my servant job so beautiful there y'all to underline that six times in the Book of Job almighty God calls job his servant six times he doesn't just say hey uh uh would you consider job he said would you consider job my servant have have you considered considered my servant job oh consider him sure I've considered him but I can't get to him you you have built a hedge around his house you you built a hedge around him and you built a hedge around his family you built a hedge around his business you built a you built a hedge around everything that he has but I I'll tell you God you let down that hedge and touch him and he will curse you you to your face surely God surely God you're wiser than that surely you're you're you're wiser surely you you know job doesn't serve you for nothing job's not loving you and serving you for nothing look what he gets out of it look at his health look at his marriage look at his 10 children look at his business look at everything around him so you really come on God come on God you really don't think job serves you for you you really don't think he lives his hands and tells you how much he loves you for for nothing he said just let the Hedge down touch him he'll come right up in your face and he he will curse you he will curse you Satan said all right said um you can touch him I'll let the Hedge down and you can touch him but don't touch his life don't don't take don't take his life if we're going to spend the vast majority of our Bible class today on job I think we it would it would do us good to read Job 1 chapter chapter 1 verse number 1-5 I think it would be good to get acquainted with this man named job Bible said there was a man in the land of us whose name was job and that man was perfect and upright and one that feared God and in cheed evil now when it says perfect there it meant he was a mature man he was spiritually he was spiritually mature he was upright he feared God his decisions were made on the fear of God his decisions that he made the way he lived his life was made with God in mind his the the the the decisions and the way that he lived he he considered God and he and chewed that were means to that means to repel against or or push away from Evil he he's a man that fears God he's a man that makes those Godly decisions and he's a man that when temptation of evil comes he's he's pushing away from that verse one simply tells us of his spiritual condition verse two and there was born unto him seven sons and three daughters his substance also was 7,000 sheep 3,000 camels 500 Yol of oxen 500 she asses and a very great household so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the East and his sons went and feasted in their houses every one his day sent and called for their three sisters to eat with and to drink with them and it was so that when the days of their feasting were gone about that job sent and Sanctified them and Rose up early in the morning and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all for job said it may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts thus did job continually if you'll see something here number one the Bible talks about his spiritual condition because that's the most important thing about your life is your walk with God and your your condition with God the most important thing in your life is your walk with God the second thing it names about job was his family the second most important thing in your life after the walk with God is your is your family is your family and then notice how it lays it out the third thing was his material wealth that he had it was his material wealth that he had all the oxen and all of that and so the first priority in our life our walk with God the second priority in our life our family the third priority in our life is the material things that God has blessed us with but then it's almost like there's a sandwich that's made here starts out with the walk with God goes to your family goes to your material things and then it comes back around to the family and it says that his sons seven of them and three daughters that they all celebrated when one would have a birthday they would celebrate their birthdays together now I'm going to tell you I think there's a hidden nugget there I I I believe that that we ought to really work hard to make sure that our family gets along with one another you may be seated the hand clapping is deafening here in this room today but we ought to work to make sure that our family gets along evidently job's family got along with each other because every birthday that they they had all the all the kids would go to whoever's birthday it was and there they would have a feast in the house and job felt like that while they're feasting in a time of laughter while they're feasting that they may forget about God and they may do things there that that feasting they may they may Curse God with the way they live and so every morning I imagine you would probably watch how you live if you knew that after each birthday dad was coming to your house with a sacrifice to pray you through every morning after their birthday dad showed up he'd line them all up he'd have sacrifices and that that worship and praise God he said I just want to make sure that my family I just want to make sure that my family it was into this situation that Satan said job doesn't serve you for nothing now listen to me today Satan will slander anyone Satan is the accuser of the brother he will slander motives he will SL look how he Slanders J J God come on you really don't think job serves you for nothing look what he's getting out of it why anybody could serve you God with a happy family and anybody could serve you God with material things and anybody can serve you anybody can serve you God when every bid they put on livestock they always get it anybody can serve you like that but Turn the Page he curse you to your face I want to stay here on this thought for a moment Revelation CH 12 and verse number 10 I want to identify Satan very quickly Revelation 12 and verse number 10 Revelation 12 and 10 and I heard a loud voice saying in heaven now has come salvation and strength and the kingdom of our God and the power of His Christ for the accuser look at that for the accuser of our Brethren is cast down I think we ought to I think we all ought to say hallelujah when I say that again when I say the accuser of our Brethren cast down I want you to say hallelujah all right for the accuser of our Brethren is cast down Hallelujah which accused them before our God day and night but how did they overcome look at these three things here and they overcame him he came can be overcome and they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb one by the word of their testimony two and they love not their lives unto death three our response to slander our response to accusation is the blood of the Lamb if you're guilty of what Satan Slanders you about the blood of the Lamb can cover not most sins the blood blood of the Lamb can cover all of our sins they overcame so if you're here today you you you know there's two things you need to do if you're guilty of what Satan has accused you of there's the blood of the Lamb if Satan is accusing you and slandering you and it's not it's not it's not true you see when we we do wrong thank God for the mercy when we don't do wrong and Satan accuses and Slanders us and someone says something in a slanderous way God have mercy on them we overcame by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony the word of Our Testimony is our purpose to witness for him I have a calling you have a calling that is the word of your testimony what kind of testimony are you you being to a lost world today I'm going to overcome him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of Our Testimony and then the last thing they love not their lives until the end I have a future hope in God so now I come to my title I come to my title today and that is simply then now and when and so when I look at my life I may look and say well back then it was better or back then it was worse but now it's different but whether I'm living in the then or the now I'm looking forward to a when when this life is over I now you'd like maybe want me to preach when your trial is over that's well and good but really what we ought to keep our minds on is the soon coming of the King of Kings and the Lord of lords because when he comes it won't matter what you had or you didn't have here on this earth when he comes so Satan moved in and uh the story Satan immediately started and and uh job's material things begin to go the different tribes of people around came and robbed him of his sheep coming robbed him of his cattle coming robbed him of his livestock and killed the servants that were there only one was left to come and give the report wasn't long wasn't long after fire fell from heaven and caught the fields on fire and the Sheep were all burned up and those servants those Shepherds were burned up with the Sheep but only one escaped then a wind then a wind came from the Wilderness I I I think that's uh Wilderness could could say a a wind came out of nowhere I want to ask you today have you ever been knocked off your feet by something that came out of nowhere I mean it's came out of nowhere wind came out of nowhere came out of the Wilderness just so happened the brothers and sisters were celebrating their birthdays the wind came came and hit the four corners of the house the house collapsed all of job's children 10 of them was killed in the wind and the collapsing of the of the house only one person witnessed it and only one person came back and uh witness to job and within a matter of a few minutes he's informed that you have lost your material things in the matter of a few moments you're bankrupt job in the matter of a few moments you you have absolutely nothing job but after all I can work again I can plan again I can plant again I can recover again but wait a minute you got to hear the next you got to hear the next servant job your children are all dead the house collapsed the Bible says that when that happened when that happened he hears these words and and and and and let me say to you today that some sometimes we we run the Bible real fast and we have job going through this real fast but but in chapter 1 and verse number 20 then job arose and rent his mantle and shaved his head and fell down on the ground because he is in a grieving season he is in a season trying to process what has happened I'm trying to process all of this don't ask me what I think don't don't don't come up to me right after the servant says this is gone and that's gone and your kids's gone don't ask me what I think because I don't know what I think right now because I'm in the process of trying to sort this out I I'm in the I'm in the process of shock I'm in the I'm in the process of grieving and I'm going to tear my mantle and I'm I'm I'm I'm just in I'm just in a process right now can I tell you that the process of grieving is not right wrong as a matter of fact it's natural if you don't allow yourself to grieve for a period of time you'll grieve for a longer period of time you you you've got to you you've got to learn you got to learn that there's nothing wrong with not knowing what to say and not knowing what to think because all my wealth is gone and all my future my children are gone but don't grieve without worship because grieving is about what you had and worship is about what can never be taken away from you my sheep my cattle my children can be taken away but the One Import important thing in my life is my worship and My Worship can never be taken away it can never be taken it can never be taken it can never be taken if your faith is in your material things get ready to fall flat on your face but if your faith is in your god get ready come what may you can continue to live for God now I'm patriotic sister Rea I'm patriotic today and I don't want to do any I I know right now this may be a blasphemy blasphemia statement I'm about to make I am patriotic but that Lee Greenwood song help me brother Eric say if I had to start all over come on you sing it my brother with it's my family and my wife that's Job 1 and 20 brother that ain't going to help me I thank my lucky stars that I'm standing here today or there ain't no flag still stands for freom can't take that away and I'm glad to be in americ well at least I know I'm fre I'm not going to blashe but I think there's a better song If I had to start all over with just my children and my wife I think my lucky start over Bethlehem did somebody say good preaching no she didn't say good singing she said good singing good preaching thank you if you had to start all over if a plan fell out of the sky hopefully when nobody's in here and took everything in this 880,000 ft building can I tell you today would you grieve you better believe I'd grieve but I wouldn't allow my grieving to be all that I would do because I would begin to worship the one that a plane cannot take away that cancer cannot take away that a bad economy cannot take away that that somebody walking off cannot take away come on come on do you feel like that this morning let me go back to my verse of scripture Job 1 chapter 20 then job arose rent his mantle shaved his head and fell down upon the ground and worship please look at how worship helps our perspective seems like that worship puts it all back together the way that it should be watch how worship changes his perspective and he said naked came I out of my mother's wom and naked shall I return thither the lord gave and the Lord had taken away blessed be the name of the Lord in all this job sin not nor charged God foolishly now watch what he says he says then I came naked out of my mother's womb and when I shall return but I'm living in the right now I'm living in the right now he said then naked came out out of my mother's womb pass and when death I'll return thither but now is where I'm living the lord gave that's then and the Lord had taken away blessed be the name of the Lord wherever we're at in our season of Life your now has to be filled with worship and with praise I know it's bad and I'm not going to try to make little of your situation I'm not going to be shallow tell you oh all you need to do is shout oh all you need to do is all you need to do is do some kind of De you you just need to LEAP you need to do this can I tell you there are times that leaping is not worship and there are time leaping is praise there's times that an a run is not worship a running is praise there sometimes I don't have a leap in me and I don't have an a run in me and I don't have a demonstrative shout in me but there's never been a time that I don't have a worship in Me God you gave it to me then God you've taken away now but blessed be the name of the Lord pass the test sometime later Satan calls the Angels back to heaven give an account of your life Satan where have you been I've been in the earth walking up and down to and Thro and he says have you considered my servant job wait a minute don't talk Satan you have moved me to destroy what he has Without a Cause you you said that job would not worship that he would come and curse me to my face Satan you know what happened you were there when job ripped his clothes you stood there and thought here it comes demons listen listen up God I hope you're listening he shaves his head come on God this is getting good come on God I hope you're listening to this he shaves his head job's in anguish and Satan he he's he's there he he's just watching got a smile on his face and he hears him you ready God lord you have given to me see what I mean God lord you have taken away from me get ready God here it comes here comes the curse blessed be the name of the Lord see there Satan he doesn't serve me for not he doesn't serve me for good things he don't have any kids he don't have any material things he doesn't have his reputation but look at him down there worshiping me right now oh I wonder today if Satan hasn't accused some of you about well look at the car they drive well look at their family and all of that's been taken away but here you are on a Sunday morning in the house of God and you're praising and blessing a let me hurry up now let me hurry up then now and when he said let's um chapter 2 and verse four of job Satan answered the Lord and said skin for skin yay all that a man hath he will give for his life put forth thine hand now and touch his bone in his flesh and he will curse thee to thy face now it's interesting here the Hammond why don't you look into this in some of your study Satan said if you'll touch his bone and flesh if you'll he'll curse you if you'll touch his bone in flesh that's verse five he will curse thee to thy face now I know that I'm going to read that where job was smitten with boils from the bottoms of his feet to the so crown of his head all right and he had so many boils that were absessed and rupturing that he would take a piece of broken pottery and he would scrape himself to try to get a little relief from the pain but here's what I want you to study it's an interesting thing that happens here when he finds himself covered with boils the Bible says when God made woman God made the wife and Adam Eve walked up Eve walked up to Adam Adam said this is now bone of my bone and flesh of My Flesh because there's more than just job getting boils in this story his wife stands there while he's still alive and says job I'm going to tell the doctor to pull the plug job why don't you just Curse God and die why why I I'm I'm done living this way job I'm I'm I'm done I we don't have any kids we don't have we don't have any material things I'm done Ju Ju Just curse God it cut the ventilator off I I mean Ju Ju Just just get how how many would want a wife like that I wouldn't I don't care what condition I was in I would hope that she could slip up beside me and say it's going to be all right come on let's worship God again if we can worship without without kids if we can worship without material things we can worship with you covered from the top of your head to the SS your feet come on come on I let's worship God but not her not job's wife no no no no no she said just curse God just Curse God and die but you know something although it doesn't record it it already set the tone job was a worshipper and wor worship always gives you a god perspective I don't know what to do brother Carpenter worship I I don't know I don't know this situ what should we do worship God will give you a a god perspective let's listen to him now let's listen to him now she says in verse n then said his wife unto him Dost thou still retain thine Integrity Curse God and die but he said unto her thou speakest as one of the foolish women speak W I thought I married a wise woman said you you're speaking like a foolish woman foolish woman is caught up in material things a foolish woman is caught up in a season that she can never keep forever thou speakest is one of the foolish women speaketh what shall we what watch this now shall we receive good at the hand of God and shall we not receive evil in all this job did not job sin with his lips watch this now he says to her what's wrong with you do you think that we can only serve God when he's putting good things in our hand you think I'm only going to live for him and worship him when he puts good things in my hand and not evil also I mean if God is good enough for me to put my hand out then God is good enough for me to accept whatever he puts in my hand whatever comes your way well why did I get this and why did this happen to me can you go back to chapter one and see that if you're serving God he has a hedge put around your life and if you find yourself with things happening one of two things either you have allowed the enemy to come in or God has got a test going on in your life and oh I want to pass that test God when you get in that season when everything fall falls apart and Satan the accuser and the slander is running rapid you know what I'm going to do now I'm going to do now what I was doing then you got to do now what you did then before the trouble came I was worshiping before the wind blew the house down I was worshiping before the fire fell from heaven I was worshiping when I had a good time and now that I'm in this season I'm going to keep on worshiping God does somebody hear me in the house of the Lord today I will somebody shout out them now now them now I'm going to keep on serving God I'm going to keep on worshiping God now it gets better gets better well it don't really get better it don't really get don't really get better three of job's friends show up now wait a minute I I didn't quote that correctly I said three of job's friend friends the scripture just says now when job's three friends heard all the evil that was come just close this was his three friends people that he allowed to speak into his life you see a friend Bible says the kisses of an enemy are deceitful but the wounds of a friend are faithful he had three friends that spoke into his life he had three friends that could speak into his life and tell him not only what he wanted to hear but tell him what what he didn't want to hear can I tell you today in this setting you need to have friends that'll check you I said you need to have friends that'll check you you you you need to have friends in in your life that are not only going to tell you what you want to hear you need to have a friend in your life that'll tell you what you don't want to hear problem is today we uh and I don't know all the lingo what they call it unfriend or defriend or what they do on Facebook unfollow or untrack or can I tell you people that tell you what you don't want to hear are your friends a truth friend well they came and um they set for they set for several days seven days and couldn't even say nothing and then when they did when they did open their mouth when they did open their mouth here's what came out of one of the friends mouth job's four job 4 and6 job 4 and six silence is broken the friend speaks up and he says is not this thy Fear Thy confidence thy hope and the uprightness of thy ways job remember I pray thee whoever perish being innocent or where were the righteous cut off what's interpret that for me come on job this junk don't happen to righteous people come on job this kind of disaster don't happen happen when you're living right come on job we're your friends confess up you've evidently with all this wrong going on there's got to be some sin somewhere in your life let me let me tell you something just because there's wrong going on in a person's life does it mean they've got something wrong it may very well me that they're doing something right they may they may be having disaster hitting their life because they have earned the Merit of being called my servant joob and God may be putting you in Satan's face when Satan said who couldn't live for God with this who couldn't live for God with that who couldn't live with God for all this but God says I'll tell you what we'll let bad things happen to him and we or her and we'll see what they do and when the bad things happen I'm serving God now like I served God then because I'm looking forward to a prosperous win I I'm serving God now you see the trick of the enemy is to get us off our prayer life and get us off our worship life and get us out of the house of God can I tell you that when Trouble Comes the last thing you need to do is stop coming to church can I tell you when your mate walks out on you the last thing you can do is not come to the house of God can I tell you when you're Bank when your job goes upside down and you're giving a pink slip the last thing you do that you want to do is not tithe and give offerings you got got to do now what you were doing then if you want to have a win in your life come on Joe come on job you know there's got to be sin chapter after chapter after insinuations after insinuations after insinuations you know it's a trick of the devil and we've seen it the last several years in politics it's a trick of the devil to say something that's an Absol Abol lie and they just believe if you just keep saying it and I do believe they're deceived if you just keep saying it people will believe it why because it's it's it's it's just kept being said said it's just going over and over again can I tell you everything said isn't true I mean chapter after chapter when this friend got done the other friend stepped up to the podium and uh after so many chapters of that job said hey I I got to tell you guys I I got to level I got to level with you all I got to level with you and I'm going to level with you in job 16:1 I just want to level with you all job said in 161 then job answered and said I have heard much s many I have heard many such things miserable comforters he said you're you you're you're you're miserable you're a miserable comforter you're you're the kind you know you you know people have open heart surgery and I'm sorry for those of you that I've come in after after your your open heart surgery you don't look so good I've just been you don't look so good and I come in going you're breathing doctor said it was great I mean you're swollen up two times the size you were before you went in doctor says it's great you you see you comfort people by telling them you served the god that back then and you're still serving that God right now you comfort people when you don't say oh yeah you do have it bad I'm telling you I'm telling you really do have I don't know anybody's got it as bad as you I I I don't know anybody that has it listen that don't help anything I want to say well you're miserable don't call me anymore I don't want to hear this anymore I want to hear somebody say you know you're a worshipper of the one true and living God and you've been faithful unto God and there's no way that God is going to take his eye off of you and you're going to come I I know I'm swolled up two times as size I should be I know I got tubes all over but somebody be a good comforter and say he was the god back then you're miserable comforters but I got something else to say to you in Job chapter 13 verse number one can I preach on a little bit longer today job 131 listen to this listen to job Lo mine eye has seen all this mine ear hath heard and understood it what ye know the same do I know also I am not inferior unto you you know what he's saying don't think you're better than me because you ain't going through what I'm going through as a lot of people think they're better than somebody else CZ they're not going through that job said let me tell you something right now I know exactly what you know you don't have one iota more than I've got and I am not inferior unto you but I'm not done yet friends surely vers three surely I would speak to the almighty and I desire to reason with God in other words I'll tell you this brother Nam he says I'm tired of talking to you all I'm going to talk to God but before I sign off and talk to God I just want to tell you who you are verse four ye are forgers of Lies you are Physicians of no value you have forged our lives and and you're a lousy doctor I I mean you you you you are of no doctr I have come set on your table and all you could do is come in and thump me on the knee and tell me I'm sick you're of no you are of no value but no no no I said I was done with you I'm not done with you I'm not I'm not done I'm not I'm not done with you um chapter 12 verse number one you're still here say Amen chapter 12 verse number one listen job I'm not done I'm going I'm going to go on I'm not done job answered and said no doubt but ye are all the people and wisdom shall die with you what he saying he was saying No Doubt ye are all the people man you just think that your opinion is the opinion of all people as a matter of fact you just think that you know it all and I just reckon that when you die there won't be any more knowledge on the earth oh how sad we are when you die I don't think it was real Pleasant there but it goes on and I come to a close comes to chapter 42 it's the last chapter the Bible says in chapter 42 verse one then job answered the Lord and said I know that thou cast do everything and that no thought can be withholden from thee who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge therefore have I uttered that I understood not things too wonderful to me which I knew not here I beseech thee and I will speak I will demand of thee and declare thou unto me now let me tell you what I just read to you I just read to you where job got halty with God and he began to say I I I I I need an appointment with God God I would walk right up the throne and I would demand of you an answer of why I'm going through this of course job goes all through these chapters and he begins to see himself and he says in verse number five I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear but now mine eye seeth thee wherefore I abore myself and repent in sackcloth and Ashes now just tell you what did he said God I went my whole life just hearing about you God I went my whole life hearing how great and good you are but he said now God this trial has made me see myself do you know why some people can't get help it's they won't be honest with themselves they can see everybody else's beam in their eye but they can't see the mode
