if you have your Bibles and would join join me in the Gospel of John chapter number 10 and verse number 10 and as you're going to that passage of scripture I want to say that there's many many many things that can be said about God today all of which would be true but I think I think what caps it all off what a faithful God we serve what a faithful God that we serve and could you say Amen to this we haven't always been faithful to God but God has always been faithful to us what a faithful God that we serve what a faithful God we serve this morning John chapter 10 and verse number 10 Jesus said the thief cometh not but for to steal and to kill and to destroy but I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly I want to minister today and I'm going I'm going to tell you I'm going to take a few Sundays and do a little teaching and I'm doing it for an one ultimate reason number one the word of God needs to be taught so that it can be caught all right but uh we have a wonderful you know you can say the internet came out it was evil you know everybody's talking about how evil the internet was that was because the content but um then we begin to preach on the internet and some of you are here today because you first heard the word this church on the internet so AI comes out all right and everybody's freaking out over AI you know oh man it's going to be the most terrible thing we better get Congress involved in this and on and on but yet is there evil sure there is is there evil on the internet sure there is but AI has giving given us the ability we have we're going have an app and brother Hammond could give you all the logistics on it that I am going to be able to minister the word like I'm doing this morning in 26 different languages it'll be it'll be whoever's voices up here it'll be their mannerisms it'll it'll be all of that it will be as if today and many of you may have seen my greetings to uh the uh Spanish conference that we had here and how I greeted the congregation in Spanish and some of you think man Pastor wow you know Rosetta I mean wow what's going on here you know it was all just Ai and I'll be able to minister or whoever in Mandarin Chinese German French it's 26 different languages and uh I'm looking forward we're going to reach this world with the gospel amen I want to preach today go ahead and give me my hand I hear a hand breaking out here I'm going to minister today on this subject the new life everybody say that with me the the new life father we love you this morning thank you for this privilege to minister your lifechanging words Lord we know that when your word is preached that your spirit rides upon your word that is preached and your spirit and your word is what changes lives now father help me today Lord help me to communicate your word I'll give you the praise and the honor and the glory in Jesus wonderful name we pray amen and amen you may be seated thank you for standing in honor to the reading of God's Great word the new life the new the new life Jesus made a statement in John 10 he told you the purpose that the adversary is a is a foot today in the world for our adversary Satan Lucifer comes but to steal and to kill and to destroy but he said opposite of that I am come that they might have life and they may have that life more they may have that life more abundantly now for some time you've heard many sermons and bible studies on who God is or what God is and uh we all know from John 424 that God is a spirit but if you would allow me today to go a step further and to communicate with you that God is just simply not an omnipresent Spirit an omnipotent spirit an omniscient Spirit but if you would allow me today to dive into the nature and the personality of God if I could use that word we're going to dive in we know God is a spirit but we're going to dive into God's nature we're going to dive into God's p e e e sound system today and he's mad because of 26 languages I rebuke him in Jesus name I brother ain't talking about you today the new life how many's glad for the baptism of the Holy Ghost he's glad for that new life today if you're glad would you give the Lord a hand clap of Praise I am glad for the baptism of the Holy Ghost Luke 24: 45 Jesus is hung on the cross shed his blood been placed in the grave and resurrected from the tomb spent 40 something days with his disciples and now he's about to send into heaven and be our mediator the Bible says as he gathered the disciples around him in verse 45 then opened he their understanding that they might understand the scriptures and he said unto them thus it is written and thus it behov Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations beginning at Jerusalem ye are witnesses of these things and behold follow closely now listen to Jesus and behold I send the promise of my father upon you but Terry ye in the city of Jerusalem until you be endued with power from on high he said I'm about to leave I'm about to ascend into heaven I want you to go back to Jerusalem because it will be in Jerusalem that repentance and remission of sins will first be preached in my name beginning at Jerusalem repent rep and remission of sins and then he said and I will send the promise of my father upon you but you've got to wait you've got to carry in Jerusalem you've got to wait there un you are indued that word there indued means clothed upon until you are indued with power from on high now Luke wrote the Book of Luke but Luke the Beloved Physician also wrote the book of Acts now acts is an abbreviation the full title of the book of Acts is the actions of the Apostles the apostles were so important in Scripture that God allowed an entire book to be written entitled the actions of the Apostles so Luke in Acts chap 1 verse number four lukee begins to record them going to Jerusalem and it says and being assembled together with them commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem but wait for the promise of the father you remember Luke's kind of reviewing over what he ended in Luke 24 he's giving a short review in Acts chapter 1 he says in Acts chap 1 verse number five or verse number four he said you you remember how he told you to wait for the promise of the Father which saith he you have heard of me for John truly baptized with water but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence or not many days from now so now we find as we connect these verses of scripture we find what the promise of the father is what is the promise of the Father the promise of the father is the baptism of the Holy Ghost that is the promise of the Father the baptism of the Holy Ghost wait in the city of Jerusalem until you be endued with power from on high for it will be in Jerusalem first that repentance and remission of sins will be preached in my name and the promise of the Father which is the baptism of the Holy Ghost will come upon you there acts 1 verse number 12 and they and and then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called oliv it which is from Jerusalem a Sabbath Day's Journey and when they were come in they went up into an upper room where Abode both Peter and James and John Andrew Phillip Thomas bolom mu Matthew James the son of alus Simon zeelot and Judas the brother of James these all continued with one Accord in prayer and supplication with the women and Mar Mary the mother of Jesus and with his Brethren now we know that in another passage of scripture they counted how many people were in the room that that that must have been important to them they counted how many were present in the room and they came up and they said about about 120 now we understand today by reading this that there was more than just Peter James and John there we understand understand by reading this that there was more than just the 12 apostles that were there in the room we understand that there was about 120 people that were gathered there and among the 120 there was Mary the mother of Jesus now that's interesting that Mary is there you remember Mary was the one that carried the Lord Jesus inside of her womb she was the one that carried him physically God did a miraculous we talk about a miraculous Birth really it was a miraculous conception the birth was just like any other human had ever been born nine months or so in the womb and they were born but it was a miraculous conception because she was with child without coming together with a man and that conception was by was by the Holy Ghost but Mary Mary is in that room Mary is there with them and for some seven to 10 days some seven to 10 days they gathered together for one purpose and one purpose alone they were to wait for the promise of the father now you got to get in the room with me now they had never received the Holy Ghost they didn't know what it was like we said here today we've read the back of the book we sat here today we we know how the story ends we sat here today and we know that Goliath comes tumbling down we know Jericho's walls com but they didn't know it all they knew today was that he said don't leave Jerusalem until you be endued clothed with power from on high and that repentance and remission of sins would be preached in his name among all nations beginning at Jerusalem but we do know by verse number 14 of Acts chapter 1 we do know that they all continued with one Accord in prayer and supplication with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus and with his brother now here's what we also know they not only stayed together they not only gathered but they were gathered together that's called Unity they were there for the same reason I'm going to tell you the spirit of God will always come down upon Unity show me unity and I'll show you the spirit of God show me Unity you see today it's not enough that we're gathered we need to be gathered together you know you can take two cats tie them tail to tail hang them over a clothesline you have got gathered but they ain't together and just because we come into one room today doesn't mean that we're gathered together unless there's one name we exalt unless there's one spirit that we praise unless there's one thought that keeps flooding over and over and over I mind I once was lost but now I'm found I once was dead but now I'm alive I once existed but now I have life and when that begins to happen they were gathered together there they were praying they were they were praying I I I can only surmise the prayer Lord we're here for the promise of the father Lord you told us to go to Jerusalem and wait here we are at Jerusalem we've done what you said and here we are we're waiting on the promise of the father and the promise of the father is going to come and I this is not recorded so don't look it for it in your Bible but may have been because we're dealing with people don't you think maybe somebody looked at somebody else and said uh man we've been here three days you think we didn't understand what he said man man we've been here four days but I believe somebody said to something he never he never lied to us when he was with us for three and a/2 years he never told us one thing that was wrong we always if he said go get we didn't hey Pete we didn't understand that day when they needed wine at that wedding we we didn't understand that day as we stood there at that wedding and they needed wine and he told the servants to fill the water pots with water and nobody understood they wait a minute Jesus they didn't say they were out of water they said they were out of wine he said fill the water pots and they filled them up with H2O to the brim and yall remember the next thing that happened the governor dipped out and the water was turned into the best wine so he's never I'm going to tell tell us all something today doesn't matter how long you wait if God's word says it it's going to come to pass if there's a pro if there's a promise in this word today stand upon on this promise it is going to come it is going to come oh I believe you believe that today I I hear that sound that affirmation I I hear that sound to that affirmation today they were gathered together and the Bible said in Acts chap 2 and verse number one and when the day of Pentecost was fully come they were all with one Accord there they are in one place and suddenly there came a sound from Heaven as of a rushing Mighty Wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting there appeared unto them clothing tongues like as of Fire and it set up on each of them and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them the utterance now let's just dissect this four verses for a moment the Holy Ghost the promise of the father came on the day of Pentecost the day of Pentecost was a Jewish feast is commonly believed among Jewish tradition that Pentecost marked the day when the law was given to Israel the Jews sometimes called Pentecost the season of the giving the season of the giving of the law now you understand with me today that Israel as a nation does not celebrate their birth by coming out of Egypt they celebrate the birth at Mount Si when the law that was given written on Stone with the Finger of God and Moses brought it down with the tablets that when God gave his law his government there is where they believed they were birthed a nation Israel will tell you to this very day we were not birthed in Egypt we were brought out of Egypt we were birthed on Mount Si we were we were birth there in that place so having said that today the Old Testament day of Pentecost Israel received the law on the New Testament day of Pentecost the church received the spirit of Grace in its fullness now you say you you you understand that on on the day of Pentecost this feast day there came a sound from Heaven as of a rushing Mighty Wind a rushing Mighty Wind sound it filled all the house where they were sitting and then there appeared unto them verse three there appeared unto them there appeared unto them now it's a sound it's a sound as of a rushing Mighty Wind but then there appeared unto them clothing tongues like as of fire everybody said it with me fire there there appeared clothing tongues like as of fire now this totally as you study your Bible it's totally all right to ask questions like why why was there fire why the there appeared into them clothing tongues like as of fire and it set upon each of them these clothing tongues like like like the best of my description could be uh a ball of fire just a a ball of fire came and set upon each of them why would there be fire fire has always always announced the arrival and the sign of God anytime God wanted to introduce himself or God appeared in many places for an uh just a extreme special event fire would be present be fire there as a matter of fact Let's Travel for a moment to Exodus chapter 19 verse number 19 Moses is told by God to tell the people not to come up to the mountain to tell the people to prepare and uh Moses goes up and in Exodus 19:19 God comes down and listen to what it says about and when the voice of the trumpet sounded long and waxed louder and louder Moses spake Moses spake and God answered him by voice now if you would go go back to verse 18 is the one I want to take this from verse number 18 of Exodus 19 and Mount Si was altto together on a smoke because the Lord descended upon it in a fire and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace and the whole Mount quak exceedingly when The Voice of the trumpet sounded long and waxed louder and louder Moses spake and God answered him out of the fire look at some similarities here with me God is birthing a nation on Mount Si God is going to birth his people on Mount Si and so there is a trumpet it is a god trumpet and it is sounding louder and louder and louder now the parallel when God birthed the church by the baptism of the Holy Ghost when God birthed the church there came a sound from Heaven as of a rushing Mighty Wind I imagined as the sound got closer to the room the room got louder and louder and louder there came a sound a trumpet although it's turned around at Mount Si after after the or beginning excuse me at Mount Si at Mount Si this is where it turns around from the church at Mount Si the fire the the fire came first and the trumpet sounded louder and louder and Moses spoke and God answered but at Pentecost it's turned around the sound came first as of a rushing Mighty Wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting and there appeared unto them close gloen tongues like as a fire but yet the similarities are there God announced his presence on Mount Si by fire and God announced his presence upon the Earth in the form of the baptism of the Holy Ghost or the promise of the father when he allowed those tongues of fire to come down upon them now notice with me in the Old Testament there was fire and the sound of the trumpet and there was Moses speaking to God God on Pentecost there was the sound of wind there was the fire of his presence and there was God giving them the ability to speak in other languages can you say Amen clothing tongues like as a fire set upon each of them they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit go back to Acts chapter 4 excuse me Acts chapter 2 and verse number four give me that on the screen please and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance or as the spirit gave them the ability you see when a person receives the baptism of the Holy Ghost and speaks in a language may be known or unknown but it is unknown to to the one that speaks he is doing that or she is doing that through the ability of the Holy Ghost and God is birthing God is birthing a person into his body into his kingdom for the Bible says for by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body we're all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues other languages known and unknown as the spirit gave them the ability and again I want to tell you today there's nothing wrong with saying why because people in the world that hear about speaking in tongues say you know I just don't I just don't understand that man that's a great place for a Bible study why why would God choose this way that's a good question why would God choose this way um speak a language know known or or Unknown by the ability of the spirit of God why would why would this happen I've got a few I've got a few comments or a few things that I believe scripture backs up the first thing is when a baby is born siai was The Birth of a Nation Pentecost was the birth of his church and he adds to that church every time someone is baptized with the promise of the Father the baptism of the Holy Ghost he adds to his church now when a baby is born and comes out of the mother's womb there is a sound that the doctor and the mother and the father is waiting to hear waiting to hear a cry which means the baby is breathing which means there's life if the child is not breathing they're in trouble there's trouble there the child's not breathing and so even the doctors have been been known to even give the baby a SWAT on its behind to get them to start crying or to get them to start breathing now remember with me that he is the god that gives the Breath of Life he gives a breath of life so you may ask well why would you why would you speak in a in a language known or unknown because God has breathed Breath of Life into you he has breathed his Spirit into you and when he breathes his Spirit into you you are now a new creature in Christ Jesus you are now a babe in Christ and you begin to cry and that cry is that unknown tongue well let me give you a verse of scripture to back it up Paul writes about it in the Book of Romans in the Book of Romans chapter number 8 verse number 15 he writes about it Romans 8:15 for you have noted the spirit of bondage again to fear now he's talking about receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost and he said you didn't receive a spirit of bondage against to fear my human spirit that I'm naturally born with has a spirit of fear and it is a spirit of bondage I'm in bondage to the flesh I'm in bondage to my will but now when I receive the baptism listen what what what Paul says here uh Romans 8:15 for you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear but you have receive the spirit of adoption whereby we cry this is interesting Abba Father now why in the world Paul did you did you say that when we receive the spirit of adoption in other words I am his and he is mine when we receive the spirit of God I am his and he is mine and there is a cry that comes out of the mouth and it is a cry of the spirit of adoption but now Paul I want to ask you why in the world do you use two words why didn't you say we when we have received the spirit of adoption we cry father that would have made sense that would have made sense the language Paul was speaking it would have made sense but Paul uses the word ABA father ABBA is an arate word and very few people spoke that language in that day so ABBA is an unusual language that is spoken but father is the common language that is spoken now just Ju Just just hang on ju just hang on that for a for for a moment I I'd like to bring you you you back to Acts chapter 1 and verse number 8 keep keep a hold on Romans 8:15 but go to Acts chapter 1 verse number 8 but you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you and you shall be Witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem in all Judea and in Samaria and to the uttermost part of the Earth number one purpose God gives you the baptism of the Holy Ghost is to birth you into his kingdom number one reason you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost he burs you into his kingdom he burs you as a as a child of God number one reason for the baptism of the Holy Ghost you must be born of the water and the spirit and I'm going to get into that that version just a second but the next reason God gives you the Holy Ghost is to be a witness unto him he changes Our Lives not just only for us but that so we can be a witness to other people oh we want the this is so good this life is so wonderful this Holy Ghost filled life is so fantastic it's the best life that you could ever live I've lived on both sides of no life and new life and I got news for you today the new life is so much can I get a witness in the house the new life is so much better than the old life and I want to let everybody I want to let everybody know about it could this be let give you a little something for Thought could it be the reason that Paul uses in Romans 8:15 that when God gives us the baptism of the Holy Ghost we cry Abba that's a language it's very rare only a few people a far off know that language father very common could it be that he's connected that we are to be a witness we are to be a witness to a lost and a Dying World let's go to John chap 3: one very quickly please John chapter 3 and verse number one there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus a ruler of the Jews the same came to Jesus by night and said unto him Rabbi we know that thou are a teacher come from God for no man man can do these Miracles that thou doest except God be with him can I tell you today Nicodemus came with a compliment but God had conversion on his mind you see that when you say brother Caron I I go to church and I praise God well that's wonderful but have you been converted by God have you been converted oh I know God's good I'm going to tell you I'm going to tell you something friend you can find people all over the world that'll tell you God is good oh yes God has been good to me but has God con converted you oh Nicodemus came with a proud compliment I'm going to go compliment the good Rabbi I'm going to tell him that all men know that you're of God for no man can do the Miracles you do except God be with him and when he said that listen to what Jesus said Jesus answered and said unto him verily verily I say unto thee except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God you came to compliment me but I came to convert I've came to convert you you came to give me a praise but I've come to change your life from an old religious life to a brand new life of Salvation Jesus said except you're born again you cannot see the kingdom of God Nicodemus goes from complimenting to questioning Nicodemus saith unto him how can a man be born when he's old can he enter the second time into his mother's womb and be born Jesus answered verily verily I say unto thee except a man be born of water and of the spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God now I believe in verse four Nicodemus is being sarcastic I believe he got offended because his compliment was not received I believe that because Jesus did not receive his compliment said well thank you for that compliment to me I believe he got offended and asked a ridiculous question he said Born Again H can a man enter his mother's womb the second time that Nicodemus knows that's an impossibility but he's being sarcastic Jesus answered him when he said can a man reenter his mother's womb and be born and Jesus said in verse 5 verily I say unto thee except a man be born of water and of spirit of the spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God now he he he says this is how you're born again you're born again of the water and you're born again of the spirit and I please today to those of you in this room and those of you that will hear me from around the world today there is an erroneous a false explanation for this that the birth of the water happens when you're born a human and that water which is not really even water it's some kind of fluid in the in the womb it's not water that that's what that means there well you you you got to understand he's not talking about something that has already happened he's talking about something that we will happen in the future except a man be born of water except the man be born of water and of the spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God verse six that which is born to the flesh is flesh that which is born to the spirit is Spirit if it were possible to re-enter your mother's womb and be born the second time you would be just be twice The Sinner that you are already are that which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the spirit is Spirit Marvel Marvel don't be puzzled don't be baffled Marvel not that I said unto thee you must be born again the wind bloweth where it listeth thou hearest the sound thereof but can not tell whence it cometh and whether it goeth so is everyone that is born of the spirit he said Nicodemus it's like the wind the wind the spirit has a mind of its own it blows wherever it will and the only way that you hear the sound of the wind is for the wind to hit an object and when the wind H hits an object it makes a sound you say I hear the wind howling you hear the wind howling because it's hitting an object when the wind hits an object it makes a sound and when the spirit feels a human there's a sound that is made and it is a sound of another tongue that is spoken as a sign that doesn't it make sense doesn't it make sense today when people are questioning why tongues tongues signify a birth matter of fact if you break it down and I got to go for my time sake but if you break it down the Greek word the wind blow where it listen I don't think it's any coincidence he's talking about the baptism of the Holy Ghost and what begin to blow or the sound on the day of Pentecost the sound of a rushing Mighty Wind I heard one explanation for the rushing of the wind and one explanation was that God had not been in a human heart for 6,000 years God had not dwelt in the heart of a man for 6,000 years and after he came and shed his blood and became the mediator between an Angry God became a mediator of mercy and grace and the only Pathway to God is through Jesus Christ that when the mediator and the blood was put in heaven that God came like a rushing Mighty Wind like a soldier getting off a ship who sees his wife standing on the dock he doesn't just stroll up to her they both begin to run because they've been away and on the day of Pentecost God saw the opportunity to get back into the human heart and he came like a rushing Mighty Wind oh yes he did but if you break it down in John chapter 3: number eight the wind bloweth where it listeth thou hearest the sound thereof that's interesting word there because in the Greek that word sound there is finete finete and the word finete is where we get the word the root word f from and it's where we get the word language we have language so Jesus was saying you're going to hear the language you're going to hear the language of the spirit all right I've got more notes than you got time and I than you I appreciate that I appreciate that I really believe you mean that but understand that the mind can only sorb what the seek can endure all right he said that repentance our musicians would come he said that repentance and remission of sins would be preached in his name among all nations would you give the affirmation of an amen if you know that's in the Bible he said that repentance and remission of sins would be be preached in his name among all nations beginning at Jerusalem you see it's interesting to note that the Plan of Salvation begins with repentance it begins with repentance a man never receives anything from God unless he changes his view of God a man never comes to an altar and asks God to save him and until he changes his view that he needs to be saved people don't come because they don't believe they have any need but if I could ever preach to you enough to get you to change your view that's repentance that you would change your view about your life you would change your view about how you're living that somehow this morning in the last 45 minutes somehow you've had your appetite wet and you're thinking I'm really not living at least I'm not living like the preacher talks about today just really existing don't have much energy to get up and I'm going to tell you something we live in a day that all these energy things and all this you know we we you you you're inundated with commercials about not having energy and and drab and all this I'm going to tell you something you take all the pills you want to you can drink all the drinks and you can do you you can caffeine it all up but at the end of the day if you don't have the life of the Holy Ghost living inside of you you'll just have to keep on drinking and keep on doing and keep on doing the whole time wearing a mask and I'm really not living like I should be I'm really not living the life that I should be living it's true till you change your view he said that repentance and remission of sins would be preached in my name among all nations beginning at Jerusalem and behold I send the promise of my father upon you would you notice with me that first thing that has to take place you you got to change your view oh friend today if you don't believe you need the Holy Ghost I hope by the help of God I can convince you you need the Holy Ghost matter of fact you don't even you don't only need it initially you'll find yourself listen You'll find yourself every day wanting to go back and take another drink of the Water of Life you'll find yourself every day wanting to go to the tree of life and find out about about him but you know I close today with this repentance is like being sweaty dirty worked you got Grime on you you worked in the field you worked you've sweat it's dried you sweat it again you're dirty you come in and you get in that shower that warm water begins to wash you take soap you take soap you begin to wash that filth off your face you begin to wash the sweat you begin to wash your suds all up here's where some people they don't go far enough after a long days work and I get in that shower and I I lather all up I don't just step out of the shower grab a towel and wrap that towel around all them Suds and I sure don't just reach down and put them old dirty clothes back on that I was wearing oh no after I repent and bring that dirt to the surface there's got to be a washing that happens I'm going to lay that I'm going to lay that soak down because now I'm going to stand let that water begin to wash me and that's what water baptism is all about what a baptism is about when I when I when I come and I change my view God I'm lost without you and I'm really not living God I'm really not living a life that I need to be living God and I begin to bring it to the surface in Jesus name because remember he said that repentance and remission would be preached in his name you see a change of mind and repentance is too totally separate things I'm coming to the altar to change my view because Jesus has offered me a life brand new he's offered me a brand new start Born Again Born Again born again after I've ssed all up I stand under that water the soap's been laid aside and let that water begin to rinse me off and when I'm good and rinsed off I step out I step out and I dry off but I don't reach down put them old clothes back on I got some fresh clean clothes and that's the baptism of the Holy Ghost today that's the baptism of the Holy Ghost today it's a brand new identity it's a brand new feeling on the inside of you that you've repent I've tried to cover my sins long enough I I I I I've tried all I could do to outlive a bad reputation but there's still people that remember I've tried to I've tried to feel good about myself I've bought self-help books I've tried to I've tried to reform me into better man but I fail at the end of the day but oh if I can repent in Jesus name if I can just repent in his name would you stand with me today would you stand with me today you know what I'm going to ask us all to do right now I'm just going to ask us all to gather up around the altar right now just let's all just gather up around the
