Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

Understanding the times, and the promise to Abraham

  • They were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do — and a church with biblical knowledge can see exactly what is going on when it turns on the news.
  • God called Abram out of his country and promised to make of him a great nation: I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee, and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
  • Anything God blesses, his adversary will automatically try to curse; the hatred of the Jewish people now accelerating on college campuses is biblical before it is political.

Scriptures: 1 Chronicles 12:32; Genesis 12:1-3

His own received him not — and God is not finished with Israel

  • He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not; he came unto his own, and his own received him not.
  • Paul's heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved: they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge, going about to establish their own righteousness.
  • The word is nigh thee: whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, for there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek.
  • Hath God cast away his people? God forbid: there is a remnant according to the election of grace, as God reserved to himself seven thousand men who had not bowed the knee to Baal.
  • Blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in; and so all Israel shall be saved.

Scriptures: John 1:10-11; Romans 10; Romans 11:1-6; Romans 11:25-26

A people for his name, and the times of the Gentiles

  • At the first church council James answered that God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name — and after this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David which is fallen down.
  • The rapture is not the second coming: only the bride goes up to the marriage supper of the Lamb, and his foot touches the earth only after the tribulation, when they look on him whom they pierced.
  • Jerusalem compassed with armies, its desolation nigh: they shall fall by the edge of the sword and be led away captive into all nations, and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
  • The times of the Gentiles will be fulfilled at the rapture of the church: today is the day to be stirred up, prayed up, and ready — and a pampered, image-driven people must become the bride of Christ.

Scriptures: Acts 15:12-17; Luke 21:20-24

Saul and Samuel: to obey is better than sacrifice

  • The Lord remembered what the Amalekites did to Israel in the way when they came up from Egypt, and sent Saul to smite them and utterly destroy all that they had, sparing nothing.
  • In the midst of prosperity Saul began to think on his own: he spared the fatted sheep and calves and the king of the Amalekites, meaning to sacrifice to the Lord what he had been told to destroy.
  • Samuel was old and blind, but he could hear what Saul had done: if you have performed the commandment of the Lord, what meaneth then the lowing of the oxen and the bleating of the sheep in mine ears?
  • Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams; for rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
  • Saul confessed with an image to protect — pardon my sin, yet honour me now before the elders of my people — and tore Samuel's mantle as the prophet turned away: the Lord hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine that is better than thou.
  • After they worshipped, it was still Samuel who had to hew the spared king: it should have been Saul, fresh from worship, who said bring me a sword — worship that changes a person makes him kill the spared thing in his own life instead of leaving it to the preacher.

Scriptures: 1 Samuel 15:1-3; 1 Samuel 15:13-32

Leadership begins at home (the banked text ends inside this closing movement)

  • Disorder is a want of authority: God is a God of authority, his anointing flows through submission, and the flesh must be ruled rather than pampered.
  • When Paul discussed leadership in Corinthians he first started with the men, then the women; in Ephesians he said husbands love your wives as Christ loved the church, and wives see that you reverence your husbands.
  • It is easy to respect what is loving you: homes are out of order where that leadership and love are missing.

have your Bibles tonight and I would like to ask forgiveness I'm going to deviate from why we believe what we believe I'm going to deviate from that subject tonight because I really feel of necessity it's getting crazy out there did you hear what I said it's it's getting crazy out there aren't you thankful you're in the church aren't you thankful I don't know about you but I'm thankful I'm in a place we got a lot in common and I really feel as a pastor that I need to kind of tell you through scripture exactly what's going on out there Jesus is coming soon the pieces on God's chest table is being moved around and um I just want you to be ready I I want you to be able when you turn on the news and I'm going to tell you how crazy it is out there how crazy it is it doesn't matter which news um Outlet it is doesn't matter how one tries to spin it one way and one tries to spin it the other way when you have a Biblical knowledge you can see exactly what's going on 1 chonicles CH 12 and verse number 32 1 chonicles 12 and verse 32 and the children of isachar which were men brothers I like that I like that which were men that had understanding of the times to know what Israel ought to do the heads of them were 200 and all of their Brethren were at their command simple title tonight is understanding the times understanding the times let's pray father we love you tonight again Lord I Thank you for the privilege and the opportunity God to minister your word I thank you Lord for the people that are here tonight with hearts and bibles open God understanding Lord that times Lord are coming down and Lord I want us to have a perfect understanding of the times I'll give you praise in Jesus name we all pray tonight help us tonight in Jesus name we pray amen and amen you may be seated I am taking from this one verse here verse 32 I am taking the phrase where it lists the quality of the children of isar and it simply says about them that they were men that had understanding of the times that they were able to know what Israel what Israel should do they had understanding of the times I am ministering this tonight in reference to the res Resurgence um Accel cation for I feel that there has always been a hatred of the Jewish people there's always been it's just been accelerated and the hatred of the Jewish people that's being played out on our college campuses around our nation who would have ever thought that you and and I would live it was a memory to some of us a memory a vague memory and some of the children that have been dismissed tonight it is history that the National Guard in the 1960s would have to be called out to the state of Arkansas because they were saying they were not going to allow segregation in their p public schools that before that time there was where the white people went and where the black people went and when our great Supreme Court ruled that segregation was unconstitutional and that was brought to an end and one of the governors stated that it was not going to be so in his State the National Guard came and put a stop to that who would have ever thought that we would relive it again in 2000 this great year 2024 who who would ever have thought that we would live in a day that a person a young Jewish man or young Jewish woman would not be allowed to get on their college campus because that they were Jewish folks this is not political tonight for some that get a little nervous and they think this this is not political this is not political this is biblical this is biblical please follow along with me Genesis 12 verse number one now the Lord had said unto Abram get thee out of thy country and from thy Kindred and from thy father's house unto a land that I will show thee and I will make of thee a great nation and I will bless thee make thy name Great Thou shalt be a blessing listen to God in verse three and I will bless them that bless thee and curse him that curseth thee and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed God said Abraham you're going to produce the Jewish Nation you're going to produce the Jewish people and from this Abraham I am going to take this people and I am going to bless them I am going to use your lineage Abraham Sarah and Isaac Isaac being the promised child Isaac being the lineage that God Almighty would merge into that lineage and God would be born into this world in bethlehem's manger but God knew something that we would not understand God knew anything that He blesses his adversary will automatically try to curse anything God blesses the adversary will attempt to curse so God set upon this race of people a promise he said any other people that will bless you that will bless you that will favor you I will bless them and I will favor them but if there is a people that will curse you try to make you Barren try to make you non-existent I will curse that people and we know in John chapter 1 the gospel of of John chap 1 and verse number 10 as it speaks of Jesus Christ in the beginning was the word and the Word was with God and it goes through and then the Bible simply says in verse 10 he was in the world and the world was made by him and the world knew him not verse 11 he came unto his own and his own received him not Jesus Christ according to his Humanity his lineage was a Jew he was a Jew he came unto his own Jewish people and his own received him not they did not receive him as their savior as their Messiah now let me kind of Leap Frog over the Book of John and over the book of Acts and land in the Book of Romans because I want you to know that just because they rejected him his own rejected him 2,000 years ago doesn't mean that he was finished with them doesn't mean he was finished with the Jewish people Romans chapter 10 Romans chapter 10 and I want to begin reading Romans 10 and I will start reading at verse verse number one can someone say a big praise the Lord right now the Lord chapter 10 and verse number one Brethren my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel does it sound like God is finished with these people is that they might be saved for I bear them record that they have a Zeal for God of God but not according to knowledge for they being ignorant of God's righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God for Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth and now Paul goes all the way down Paul goes all the way down and he tells about the gospel he tells about how the Jewish people of that day tried to establish their own way to God with the the their own way through Works through the works of the law they had a Zeal they were very zelous uh of the law they had a Zeal but they were trying to establish they were trying to establish their own and Paul let's just kind of skip around through this chapter 10 here uh Paul in um verse number eight is simply saying what the what what the gospel says but what saith it verse 8 the word is nigh thee even in thy mouth and in thine heart that is the word of faith which we preach that if Thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead Thou shalt be saved for with the heart man believeth un righteousness and with the mouth confession is made into salvation for the scripture sayith whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed for there is no difference and here we go for there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek for the same Lord over all is Rich unto all that call upon him for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved and you see this is where the Jewish people begin to trip up because they felt like they were the only race of people that God wanted to have a relationship with and Paul is trying to tell them no no no no no it's whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord whether it's Jew or whether it's Greek and watch how he goes here he makes it so simple verse 14 how then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard and how shall they hear without a preacher and how shall they preach except they be sent as it is written as it is written how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace and bring Glad Tidings of good things but they have not all obeyed the gospel for Isaiah saith saith Lord who hath believed our report then he goes all the way through he goes all the way through he comes to verse 20 or let's read verse 18 19 for a moment watch how he says this the Jews rejected him but in verse 19 he says but I say did not Israel know first Moses saith I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are not that are no people and by a foolish Nation I will anger you in other words in other words it was already prophesied that the Jewish people would reject him but that God would reach out and get a non-jewish gentile people and give them the opportunity to hear the gospel verse 20 but Isaiah is very bold and saith I was found of them that sought me not I Was Made manifest unto them that asked not after me but to Israel he saith all day long I have stretched forth my hands until to a disobedient and gains people that is still is real and is powerful and as applicable today as it was when Paul said it God is still extending a hand of mercy and an invitation of Salvation to the Jewish people amen he is still extending he is he is still extending that hand flip right over with me to Romans 11 verse number one this is for some teaching that God was finished with the Jewish people when he got a church at Pentecost that is not true God is not finished was not finished and is not finished with the nation of Israel verse 11 or chapter 11 verse one I say then hath God Cast Away his people read this with me has God look at it has God Cast Away his people God forbid for I also am an Israelite listen to Paul I am an Israelite of the Seed of Abraham of The Tribe of Benjamin God hath not Cast Away his people which he fornew what you not that the scripture saith of Elias how he maketh intercession to God God against Israel saying Lord they have killed thy prophets Dig Down thine altars and I am left alone and they seek my life but what saith the answer of God unto him I have reserved to myself 7,000 men whom have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal even so then at this present time also there is a Remnant according to the election of Grace and if by Grace it is no more of Works otherwise Grace is no more Grace but it is of works then is it no more grace otherwise works is no more works now here's what he's simply saying they were trying to say then God was done with the Jews Paul was saying he's not done with the Jews although the church in the book of Acts was more Gentile than it was Jew it was more Gentile in number than it was that was Jew in number Jewish in number Jewish people in number Paul stopped and said you're thinking there's no Jew Saed but just like when Elijah was saying Lord I'm the only one serving you and God said no you're not there's 7,000 that have not bowed the knee to the idols he said still today still today now now there is a Remnant chapter 11 go all the way down to verse number 25 with me for I would not brethren that you should be ignorant of this mystery lest you should be wise in your own conceits follow it closely that blindness in part is happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles become in and so all Israel and so all Israel shall be saved at is as it is written there shall come out of Zion the deliverer and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob go back to verse 25 he said there's a mystery here when the Jewish people rejected the Messiah he placed a veil over their eyes now he references that Veil when Moses came down from the mountain of being in the shakina pure Glory glory of God Moses had been in the presence of God for 40 days and he didn't realize it but Moses's face radiated with the glory of God his face shined with the glory of God and when he came down from the mountain the people begin to say Moses you speak to us and they put a veil over Moses's face and Moses would stand there with a veil over his face and speak through that Veil and God uses that Veil as an analogy because when they rejected Christ he allowed for there to be a veil that came over their face a veil that hides the mystery that Jehovah became Messiah a veil that a veil that hides the mystery to them but yet just because he veiled the eyes of the Jewish people he turned to the Gentile that's non-jewish he turned to them and look with me again in verse number 25 for I would not Brethren that you should be ignorant of this mystery lest you should be wise in your own conceits that blindness in part is happened to Israel until the fullness until the full fullness of the Gentiles be follow the wording there be come in he said I've got blindness on them but I've got a Time clock on the non-jewish people and I have reached out to them I have reached I have reached out to them because I'm going to have me a gentile bride I'm going to have me a gentile bride now Israel will be his people in heaven if they turn their face to him and their faith when he comes and they look upon him and they have pierced and They Mourn and they repent they will be saved but they will only be known as God's people but we the Gentiles are going to be known as his bride we're going to be known as his bride stay with me for a moment now I want you to look again at the end of verse 25 until the fullness of the Gentiles become come in the times of the Gentiles now go to Acts chapter 15 verse number 12 let me give you a little back ground of what this is about they're having their first church Council they're having their first church Council I saw today where one of the main denominations in America just met and voted overwhelmingly to remove the band about a homosexual or a lesbian or same-sex marriage in the ministry in the church they have removed all of those banss I'm here to tell you I am thankful I'm not being judgmental I'm being thankful I am thankful that I belong to a Bible believing group of people that when we have our church Council we have our church Council we have our conferences and our conventions brother Marshall we're not talking about throwing the Bible out we're talking about how can we evangelize the world with the gospel how can we evangelize so my point in bringing that up is they're having their first church Council and wants it over the subject is the Jewish people that then was a part of the church wanted the Gentiles that were coming into the church they wanted the Gentile men to submit to Circ circumcision they wanted all the Gentile men they said all right we can stomach these Gentiles being in the church we can hold our nose as these Gentiles come in but at least they need to be circumcised and that was beginning to be preached and so they had a they had a conference and of course at that conference wisdom ruled and James spoke up and said you're trying to put a yoke on these Gentiles that we couldn't even live under we couldn't even live under the law and you're trying to put that Yol on them and then here in verse number 12 then all the multitude kept silence and gave audience unto baramas and Paul declaring What miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them and after they had held their peace James answered saying men and Brethren hearken unto me Simeon that's Peter has declared follow the wording has declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles to do what to take out of them a people for his name to take out of them to take out of them out of these nations I am an American citizen but you you really want to know what what I boast about I am a member of the body of Christ I am part of the Bride of Jesus Christ I got his name I'm part of the Bride I'm part of the body of Jesus Christ watch what's going to happen God did visit at the church to take what's God going to do he's going to take out of them a people for his name we have here traces of rapture not only take out of the Nations a people for his name but take out of the Nations a people of his name and that's going to happen at the Rapture you got to you got to understand this you got to understand the only people going in the Rapture is his bride it's his bride it's the only people going in the Rapture is his bride that's what it's all about it's a marriage supper of the Lamb it's his bride and he's going to take out of them a people for his name but watch what happens in verse 15 verse 14 we have traces of a Rapture verse 15 and to this agree the words of the prophet as it is written after this I will return watch that wording there after this I will return who's talking God is talking what's he saying after I have taken out my bride I will return you see the Rapture and again this is where we need a little Clarity the Rapture of the church is not the second coming of God Christ to the world to the Earth his foot is not going to step on on the earth at the Rapture that's not going to happen to after the tribulation when he steps on the Mount of Olives and they look and they see him whom they pierced that's the second coming the Rapture and the second coming are two different events he's not coming back to the Earth at the Rapture we're going to read our Bible we're going to meet him where in the air we're going to meet him in the clouds and there we're going to go to the marriage supper of the Lamb after this now watch this now look at verse look at verse 16 again after this I will return and will build again the Tabernacle of David which is fallen down and will build again the ruins thereof and I will set it up that the residue of men might seek after the Lord and all the Gentiles upon whom whom my name is called sayeth the Lord who doeth who doeth all these things he is going to return again now you got to understand you got to understand something right now in Jerusalem there's no Temple there's no Temple for the Antichrist to walk into there's no Temple there all right Bible prophecy says the man of sin the Antichrist will go into the temple and make himself and set himself up as God well I got news for you there's not a temple there right now there's not a temple there but wait a minute wait a minute go back with me to Luke chapter 21 and verse number 20 Luke chapter 21 and verse number 20 Jesus says and when you shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies then know that the destruction thereof is nine now please don't take this verse here and talk about Armageddon this is not talking about Armageddon do you know the history tells us and as a matter of fact Jesus prophesied about it when he stood one day on the Mount of Olives and began to weep and he said oh Jerusalem Jerusalem if you only had known the time of your visitation oh Jerusalem Jerusalem this is is your day that's what Jesus was weeping about Jewish people Jewish Nation if you only knew this was the time of your visitation this was your hour but now you've missed your hour and he goes in and he begins to prophesy of the destruction of Jerusalem and the destruction of the Temple of which history tells us in ad70 a Roman conqueror called Titus came into Jerusalem and there he destroyed Jerusalem Jesus talked about a rock not being upon another rock the historians say that some great Fury possessed the Romans as they RI through the temple and they leveled it out Jesus is talking about this in Luke 21:20 and when you shall see Jerusalem can pass with armies then know that the Desolation thereof is nigh then then let them which are in Judea flee to the mountains and let them which are in the midst of it depart out and let not them that are in the countries enter there into for these be the days of vengance that all things which are written may be fulfilled but woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days for there shall be great distress in the land and wrath upon the people he begins to tell them now it's coming and this is how you need to act if you're out in the field and it begins to come don't come back in the city if you're in the city and it begins to come get out of here as quick as you can if you're in another country don't try to come back when you hear the news in verse number 24 it says let me read verse number 23 again but woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days for there shall be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people verse 24 and they shall fall by the edge of the sword and shall be led away captive into all nations and Jerusalem shall be trotten down of the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled Now understand this Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles Jerusalem will be controlled by Gentiles now after the destruction of Jerusalem and the dispersion of the Jews predicted by Jesus in the previous in the previous verses there would come a long period when Jerusalem would be dominated by Gentiles for thousands of years brother Nolan this took place until in 1948 the Jewish state was miraculously established in Israel 1948 it was not until 1968 that Israel controlled Jerusalem but still today they yield to the rule of the administration on one of the most Central pieces of property in Jerusalem the Temple mount the Temple Mount is still controlled under a Palestinian or a gentile or a gentile rule I don't know how it will happen but it will have to happen for prophecy to be fulfilled and it will happen something will take place to where where they will yield that Temple man so that Israel because they're anxious not only were they excited for Jerusalem to be their capital and we saw that in our lifetime for Jerusalem to be their Capital but they are anxious the Jewish people the religious Jewish people are anxious to rebuild the Temple and you hear such things as red heers that are being bred and all of that and all of that is true because they're getting ready to sacrifice but they don't have a place yet but God will move to fulfill his prophetic word and there will be another Temple established in Jerusalem an animal sacrifice will resume upon an altar now you think come on climate climate control people come on tree huggers come on come on Earth Sabers you think they hate them right now you wait till they start televising the slaughter of sheep and bulls and goats it's going it's going to go it's going to escalate but it's going it's going to happen church and it's going to be there until the time of the Gentiles the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled now just want to stop right there I'm going to turn the corner I'm going to turn the corner at 8:30 here in this Bible lesson the times of the Gentiles will be fulfilled at the Rapture of the church when the clock strikes 12 and the Rapture of the church that's the bride of Christ when you at when you want to go beyond the Rapture of the church when you want to go beyond the Rapture of the church you're so foolish to ever can I be saved don't don't even entertain can I be saved if I miss the Rapture use your common sense if you can't live for God right now what in the world makes you think you'll live for God when you can't buy a piece of bread your kid is in the bedroom crying because they want some food and the only way you can get some food is to take a mark on your hand or your forehead come on church if we can't bring our kids to church right now what makes us think we would bring them or try to live for God after the rap today's the day Gentiles today is the day if you're going to be the bride of Christ right now is the time to get stirred up prayed up shook up we're seeing the r we're seeing the things moving we're seeing the things moving around there's a lot of there's a lot of disorder there is disorder unrest and confusion in our country you know why we're out of order we have no Authority every man is his own God we have no Authority God is a god of authority he is a god of authority Authority conquer your flesh when you don't want to submit to Authority God only allows his anointing oil to flow through submission through submission we have got to be submitted to God our flesh has got to be submitted to God our flesh cannot rule us we must rule our flesh through the anointing of God we must rule our flesh through the anointing of God there's disorder today things I set back and I can't believe I can't believe the things that are being allowed to go on in our nation right now I can't believe the blatant the blatant disrespect for our precious police force I cannot believe the things are allowed to be spit they they they're they have to go in in some states they have meetings of the morning where they're told don't do anything that they spit on you don't do anything they pour water on you don't do anything if they do all of this folks this world is in a mess and letting it go is not going to make it better can we just for the rest of my Bible Lesson talk to you about a man named Saul chapter 1 1 Samuel chapter 1st Samuel chapter 15 I believe is where I want to be 1st Samuel chapter 15 somebody say praise the Lord praise the Lord oh I wish you'd say I want to submit to God say it like you mean it tonight oh I want to submit to God I I want to submit to God first Kings excuse me 1st Samuel 15:1 Samuel also said unto Saul the Lord sent me to anoint thee to be king over Israel his people now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the Lord thus sayith the Lord of hosts I remember that which amalec did to Israel how he laid weit for him in the way when he came up from Egypt now go and smite amalec and utterly destroy all that they have spare them not but slay both man and woman and infant and suckling ox and sheep camel and ass let me show you something about God here a lot of people believe because they sin and a couple months goes by and nothing happens they got by with it do you know that God is slow to anger and we all ought to say praise God to that 400 years went by and God remembered what amalec did to Israel when Israel came out of Egyptian bondage they were just a small group of people with no Army Jehovah was their army but they were just a group of people moving through the land and amalec took advantage because the weak and the elderly of Israel were in the back of the camp as they moved and amalec didn't have the boldness to square up with Israel in the front and fight with men amalec came around and begin to attack the elderly and the children and God said way back then Moses you're going to utterly destroy them one day they'll be utterly destroyed one day Moses now Moses never saw it in his lifetime but I got news for you when God says something will be utterly destroyed it will be utterly destroyed God said God said Samuel speak to the king and tell him to go down to amalec and utterly completely totally destroy everything that's there at am their King their men their women their children their animals completely annihilate this group of people called the amalekites we know what Saul did that's an order from the Lord Saul goes down of course he makes a lot of mistakes and you can kind of see them there he stops with one group of people and tells them that they need to leave and then he stops and he counts the people you kind of start seeing some things happen and they went down and they begin to slaughter the amalekites they begin to slaughter the amalekites but in the midst of prosperity now listen to me real good in the midst of prosperity they begin to think on their own can I tell you it is not Prosperity that draws us closer to God it is persecution the church is always stri stri thrive under persecution it has always been tough times that has put pushed Newly Weds together that's right when you hear a couple when you hear a couple celebrating their 40th and 50th wedding anniversary they don't talk to you about the time that they made six figures and they don't don't talk to you about the time they moved into the gated neighborhood and that's all well and good you know what they'll start talking to you they'll start talking to you about the time that they had to ration out their food the time that he had to she had to pack his lunch every day and the time that they had to to make sure so many slices of bread and all of that you know why tough times draw us closer to God tough times and I'll submit to you that there's times of persecution that we face as a people individually as as a church because we've got too comfortable and we've got too pampered come on we've got too pampered in the midst to Prosperity that we begin to think that serving God is all about my comfort zone and what makes me happy and God bless us and no more can I tell you God has you and I for a bigger purpose than just where we live at our address he wants us to be neighborhood Changers he wants us to be job CH he wants us to be affecting Samuel excuse me SA sa begin to look around Saul be to see fatted sheep and fatted Cales and he chased down King AAG in his nice robe and he began to think man wouldn't it be something to take these sheep back these goats back and these calves back and even a gag wouldn't it be something to walk him back into Israel and have a sacrifice unto the Lord boy that sounds good don't it that sound sounds good you know something without prayer and a prayerful mind we can justify a lot of things can't we we can justify a lot of things in our human Minds we can we can justify things when we make mistakes sin we can well you know what I did this but I'm not as bad as that one over there Samuel is Shook Up by God and God says Samuel get up I've rejected so all he has not followed me I have rejected him I have rejected him from being my king he has not followed me and Samuel at the time brother Ericson the old Prophet at the time was blind he was blind he was an old man he shuffled with his feet and he was even blind in his eyes and he walked out in the middle of the street and here comes Saul with the sheep and the goats the Cales and King AAG get guess what the first thing that Saul said to Samuel the old blind prophet blessed be the Lord I have done the will of God and guess what that old blind prophet said he might have been blind with his eyes but he could hear real good he said if you've done the will of God how come I hear the Lo of The Oxen and the bleeding of the sheep if you've done the will of God why am I hearing things can I tell you don't ever write your pull pit off because of the age of the minister don't ever write it off and think man I'm doing this and this is being hid I may be a little poor in my eyesight but I got some good ears to hear from God we need to stop wanting to be pampered and become the bride of Christ it's almost the wedding day we need to have the wedding Jitters we need to be nervous right now because it's about to be our day is our dress ironed is everything ready before the wedding is my heart right is my attitude right is get oh my God he said if you've done all this then why do I hear this in my ears he said Saul when you were little in your own sight God could choose you and God could God could God could use you when you were little in your own sight Samuel Saul listen to me you have not obeyed the voice of the Lord and the Lord has rejected you Saul plays the old blame game he said we were going to sacrifice and in verse 22 of chapter 15 and Samuel said after Saul said we were going to sacrifice and the rest we destroyed and Samuel said hath the Lord as great Delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of the Lord behold to obey is better than sacrifice and to hearken that means to listen than the fat of Rams for Rebellion is as the sin of Witchcraft and stubbornness is as idolatry is as iniquity and idolatry because thou Hast rejected the word of the Lord he ha rejected thee from being King he said your Rebellion is the same thing as witchcraft it's the same thing what is Rich witchcraft trying to get an answer outside of God you're trying to get an answer but by from a higher power outside of God that's Witchcraft and do you know that when you and I know the word of the Lord and we know the Commandments of God and we snuff at them and we turn our shoulder at them and we begin to believe we've got a better plan than the word of the Lord do you know that that's the same as witchcraft because we're trying to get an answer from a higher power and it's just our own way of thinking I I believe listen we don't know more than the Bible we don't know more about God that's why we ought to be glued to our Bibles at church that's why it ought to be our Bibles that direct our marriage and our Bibles that direct how we raise our children and our Bibles that direct us how we live and our Bibles that direct us how we dress and our Bibles that tell us how to worship because that's the that's the book oh somebody needs to give him some praise right now the Bible the Bible the Bible the Bible the Bible but do you realize that a Pampered people are only image driven you know pampered people are only concerned about image he said God has rejected you God has rejected you it's as the sin of witchcraft verse 24 and I'll bring this to conclusion and Saul verse 24 and Saul said unto Samuel I have sinned for I have transgressed the Commandment of the Lord and thy words because I feared the people and obeyed their voice you know what that sounds that sounds like he's repented but he's not once again come on Saul you're trying to pass the buck you're trying mind to be image oh I just got fearful of the people oh I really wanted to do it but I just got fearful of the people verse 25 listen to him listen to the image now therefore I pray thee pardon my sin and turn again with me that I may Worship the Lord he said just just come on let's you and I step out here in front of Israel and Worship the Lord Samuel said unto Saul I will not return with thee for thou Hast rejected the word of the Lord and the word of the Lord ha rejected thee from being King over Israel and Samuel turned about to go away and he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantel and it tore can I tell you something when he wouldn't take the rebuke he tried to control the preacher when the preacher said that's the way it is that's the word of God when the prophet of God Samuel said I'm not going to worship with you you have been rejected of God and all you are is a Pampered image driven fleshly person and he turns aside Saul reaches out and grabs His Garment now you got to tell grabbing a garment of a man walking away doesn't te the Garment there had to be a fight go on there had to be a struggle he had to say you will worship with me and the prophet of God said I will not worship with you how many churches have been led into apostasy because a man stood for the word of God but pampered image driven people got a hold of him and said we don't want to go that direction and he felt the tug and instead of going forward until you suffered lost I'm going to tell you every one person we lose because of the truth God will replace them every one person that we lose because of the truth God will replace them for every one person that leaves because we believe that Jesus is God God will give us a person that comes in and says thank God for the Revelation for every one woman that walks out that says I can't go to that church because because of the standards God will send us people in just say thank God thank God for this way thank God for this way come on give him praise right now if you're thankful that you're not in a compromising Church the Garment ripped Lord help me to finish this the Garment ripped the Garment ripped Saul Samuel turned to go away and he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle and it rent and Samuel said unto him the Lord have rent the Kingdom of Israel from thine hand this day and have given it to a neighbor of thine that is better than thou and also the strength of Israel which is God will not lie nor repent for he is not a man that he should repent verse 30 then Saul said I have sinned yet honor me now now I pray thee before the Elders of my people and before Israel and turn again with me that I may Worship the Lord thy God somehow I believe I believe I believe God allowed to see God allowed Samuel to see an ounce of sincerity in the heart of Saul because I'm going to tell you something I pastored and i' I've watched them come and I've watched them go and I'm not bragging about that it's broke my heart for anybody that's walked out them doors and never came back it's broke my heart I have never in 40 years a pastor in this church ever wanted somebody to leave I was never happy you'll never you'll never find you'll never find a truthful person to say brother car said he was glad when they left I've never been glad when anybody left this church because I know the outcome even people that are image driven at times have a spark of sincerity and I I'm willing to take brother name me a spark of sincerity and say can we build a fire can we build a fire with this can we build a fire that's why I don't care how many times they went out and come back every time they come back we're killing a fatty calf and we're striking up the band and I'm hugging their neck and I'm loving on them you know why there's they come when they come walking back in sister Donna that's a spark of sincerity saying you know I I can't find anything else out there like this church I believe that God allowed Samuel to Samuel to see and sa just a spark of sincerity and in verse 31 so Samuel turned again after Saul and Saul worshiped the Lord now the break between 30 and 31 they worshiped everybody say they worshiped they wor they worship God do you realize that worship worship true worship changes us did you hear what I said true worship changes us you may come in at 7:30 stubborn but if you'll worship God you'll leave at 9:00 broken you may come in at 7:30 with a chip on your shoulder but if I can somehow get you to worship God if I can somehow get you to forget about who's holding this Grudge and who's holding that Grudge and why you don't like this one why you don't and if I can just get you in love with God you'll leave at 9:00 you'll leave just a little bit different now keep that in mind I promise you I'm closing keep that in mind they worshiped the Lord Samuel and Saul worshiped the Lord worship should change you worship will cause you to want to repair past mistakes that you have made worship will cause you to want to make right things that are not right in your life follow this closely follow this verse 32 they've worshiped I want you to see it with me tears down Saul's face tears down Sam Samuel's face what you see is with me both of their hands are lifted they're crying out the veins and their necks are protruding Jehovah Jehovah Jehovah Jehovah and then it stops it's over 9:00 has come then said Samuel bring me hither bring ye hither to me AAG the king of the amalekites and AAG came into him delicately and AAG said surely the bitterness of death is passed stop right there I believe with all my heart brother Ericson that God was instructing I believe it could all have been changed I know we say that God is not a man that he would repent but the Bible does say that God repented of making man and the Bible does say that God had a 40 day period of which he had a date set that if Nineveh did not repent within 40 days utter destruction was coming but the preaching of Jonah caused them to repent I believe that after Saul worshiped that Samuel intentionally brother Randy brought AAG back he intentionally brought what he should have killed and placed it back and for a few seconds he was looking at Saul as if to say are you catching on buddy are you picking up what I'm putting down are you understanding it should not have been Samuel the old blind prophet that had to say somebody bring me a sword somebody bring me a sword and the Bible doesn't even say he killed AAG it said he hewed him he hacked away at him can I tell you it should not have been Samuel that said bring me a sword it ought have been Saul out of fresh worship that said I'm now align with God bring me a sword I might have made a mistake yesterday but I'll go ahead and fix it right now I'll go ahead and take care of it right now come on stand with me right now you know what our problem is we're letting our preacher kill everything when we ought to be killing it I'm sorry I can't kill rebellion in your home I do good to kill it in my home I'm sorry I can't kill rebellion in your marriage it's left up to you that's what this worship service is all about it's about you looking and saying you know what I got some mistakes in my life and I'm going to go ahead and fall under leadership I'm going to fall under leadership tonight I'm going to align myself with a man of God I'm going to align myself with a spiritual leader can I tell you if a Nash if a Nashville Country Star nasal sounding person can come out and say everybody put your hands together and you just put your hands together if a if a Nashville country rock star can come out have his belt drooping down two feet long down his side having a big old cowboy hat on and the next thing you go buy you is a cowboy hat and a belt too long for you and you don't think a thing when he comes out says us everybody clap our hands you shouldn't think two minutes about when the man of God says come on let's worship God come on let's magnify God I ain't a dictator I'm trying to get you in the presence of God I'm trying to line our lives up I'm trying to line our lives up with God come on worship God Church come on worship God Church come on get in the presence of the Lord right now I can't shout for you I can't lift up your voice I can't lift up your your hands come on come on come on come on come on come on man come on man come on right now kill that Pride kill that image right now Hallelujah my Lord I Thank the men of this church right now I thank the men of this church right now I think the men of this church right now I think the men of this church right now I think the men of this church if you're here tonight and you're a wife and you got a husband up here in this altar you ought to throw your hands up right now and you ought to begin to magnify God as a matter of fact why don't you come try to come down and find where your husband's at why don't you try to come down and find where your husband's at right now I love you God I love you God I love you God I love you God I love you God come on Saul don't blow it come on Saul don't blow it come on Saul it's here again come on Saul step out come on Saul it's May the 1 it's the beginning of a new month I'll give you a new chance that's right brother that's right that's right that's right that's right my my my my my my my my my my God hallelujah my God my God my my God thank you Lord thank you Lord I am telling you God is given some of you men a new chance God is giving some of us a new chance right now go ahead and kill AAG right now go ahead and kill Lord thank you Lord thank you Lord thank you Lord oh yes come on kill AAG right now I hear some aags talking I hear some aags talking they're saying you can't preach like that anymore you can't Pastor people like that anymore you can't be you listen we you'll ever win any Souls If You Preach like that I'm here to tell you there's a world that's looking for leadership there's a world that's looking for somebody to say they know what they need to do let in with this let me in with this ironically it's 9:00 has our worship changed us have you killed your egag because God gives us another chance to kill aren aren't you thankful God gives us a second chance what we messed up the first time God said I'll bring him back out here and set him right down for you but he was image driven men I thank you that you responded tonight because the Bible said when it's leadership leadership leadership starts with men in the home when Paul began to discuss leadership in 1 Corinthians chap 11 he first started with the men then he went with the women when Paul addressed it in the book of Ephesians he said husbands love your wives as Christ loved the church right and wives see that you do reverence respect your husbands can I tell you something it's easy to respect what's loving you come on come on we got homes out of order
