Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
A testimony and a call to pray
- He opens with his own testimony: drawn to the altar by the Spirit of the Almighty God, he repented of his sins, was water baptized in the only saving name Jesus for the remission of his sins, and received the Holy Ghost just like they did on the day of Pentecost.
- He says Jesus is coming soon, and that the nation is being shaken in troubled times — but in the midst of the nation is a church, a God called body of people, that is not without power and not without a voice.
- What this world needs is for the church to go to their knees with a voice that goes back past the White House and the Supreme Court into the great judgment hall of God: if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land.
- When one member suffers, all the members suffer; when one member is honored, all the members are honored — if you have a reason to rejoice, I have a reason to rejoice, and if you are being persecuted, I am being persecuted.
Made nigh by the blood of Christ
- From Ephesians chapter 2 and verse 11 he reads of the great racial divide between Jew and Gentile: those who in time past were without Christ, aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
- But now in Christ Jesus, those who were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ: what the white man needs is the red blood, what the black man needs is the red blood — what this nation needs is the red blood of Jesus.
- For he is our peace, who hath made both one and broken down the middle wall of partition, having abolished in his flesh the enmity, to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace, and to reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross.
- So we are no more strangers and foreigners but fellowcitizens with the saints and of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone, built together for a habitation of God through the Spirit.
- He closes: we need to be the church, we need to be the voice. Don't tell me you love your city if you don't teach home Bible studies; don't tell me you love the lost if you don't try to make friends with them; and don't tell me you'd like to see an end to this if you are not praying about it.

praise the Lord everybody this morning this is the day that the Lord hath made and we will rejoice and be exceedingly glad God is certainly good to his people I'm glad to be a part of the Church of the Living God I'm glad that I was drawn to the altar by the Spirit of the Almighty God and that I repented of my sins and I was water baptized in the only saving name Jesus for the remission of my sins and I'm glad to report that I received the Holy Ghost just like they did on the day of Pentecost I received a gift of the Holy Ghost God is a God of his word God is a God of his word and I thank him for that this morning Jesus is coming soon there is there is no doubt that Jesus is coming soon if I can be remembered for any one phrase if when I'm long dead and gone and young people were talking say I remember him I want them to remember that I was always telling you Jesus is coming Jesus is coming we're living in troubled times times that are unparalleled we're living in times of the kovat virus the greatest disruption of peace that our nation has ever experienced and it's not getting better it's not going to get better from the east coast to the west coast from the gulf of the mississippi to the border of Canada our nation is being shaken at this time but in the midst of this nation of citizens is a church an ecclesia a god called body of people that we are not without power and we are not without a voice for what our nation needs this morning is for the church not just to speak up as we have about the subject but this world is in need of a church to go to their knees with their voice that can go back past the White House the Supreme Court ascend into the heavens and go into the great judgement Hall of God and touch the very door handles of the throne for the Bible says if my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from heaven and forgive their sin and will heal their land the Bible says that when one member is honored all the members are honored the Bible says when one member suffers all the members suffer so it doesn't matter what color of skin you are today if you've got a reason to rejoice I've got a reason to rejoice and if you are being persecuted I am being persecuted I happen to know we've got precious brethren on the west coast that they are giving the reports they're having many members of their congregation died from the Kovan ministers of the gospel that are empty from their pulpits today evangelist missionaries that have died from the virus for the my brother Boston young told brother Hammond yesterday a pastor there in Sacramento California said several members of our church have died we preached several member we preached several funerals of our members that have died several business owners faithful people at our church no longer have a business because the writers the looters have come by and burned their business that's our brothers and I happen to know that the groundwork is being laid in East Tennessee for the same thing to happen but it's not time to make sure we got a carry permit it's time to make sure we got a prayer per minute because prayer to Jesus can do much more than Smith & Wesson or any any other kind of gun we can we can we can we can pray ha ha ha ha we can try we can pray you may be seated to our wonderful guests that have come today and I greeted several of you with such pleasantries in the in the end of the lobbies and the aisles here please understand today that we must pray in Ephesians chapter 2 and in verse number 11 there was the great racial divide Jew and Gentile see if you don't see some similarities for today there was the great racial divide between Jews and Gentiles 2nd chapter of Ephesians 2 and verse number 11 wherefore remember that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh who are called uncircumcision in the flesh made by hands seemed like there was some name-calling going on uncircumsized name : Ben Lindley they didn't say you're uncircumcised to complement you they called you a name to degrade you that at that time ye were without Christ being aliens from the Commonwealth of Israel strangers from the covenants and the promise having no hope and without God in this world the reason that was name-calling going on he's because there were two groups of people without Christ but now in Christ Jesus ye who were sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ what the white man means is the red blood what the black man needs is the red blood what we need in this nation is the red blood of Jesus for he is our peace who hath made both one and had broken down the middle wall of partition against between us having abolished in his flesh the enmity that's hatred that's hatred having abolished in his flesh the enmity even the law of Commandments contained in the ordinances for to make in himself up to Gentile and you one new man so making peace that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross having slain the enmity thereby and came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to them that were nigh for through him we both have access by one spirit unto the father Nell therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners but fellow-citizens with the Saints and of the household of God and are built upon the foundation of the Apostles Jesus Christ Himself being the chief Cornerstone in whom all the building red yellow black and white in whom all the building fitly framed together grow up into a holy temple in the Lord in whom ye also have built it but he also our builted together for a habitation of God through the spirit we need to be the church we need to be the voice we need to be the church we need to be the boys I'm not here today to side I'm here today to stand on the fact brutal unjust treatment in our land today against our black community that's uncalled for it keeps popping its head up over and over and over again and I'm not going to get involved in politics as much as when politics is right I'm going to stand with politics I'm not trying to be politically correct today or if you judge my modem that I'm doing this to save somebody you have wrongly judged this preacher this morning it's wrong what's happening throughout our land it's wrong how they're trying to correct it but can we lay blame to the writers can we lay blame to the protesters if we the church remains silent on the very power that can shake the gates of the hill and drive back the demonic spirits don't tell me you love your city if you don't teach home Bible studies don't tell me you love the lost if you don't try to make friends with them and don't tell me you'd like to see an end to this if you are not praying about it
