well praise the lord everybody wow what a house of worshipers of jesus christ tonight my my my my my i'll tell you i have thoroughly just bathed in the presence of of god up to here tonight the wonderful presence of god could we one more time give jesus christ a hand of praise aren't you thankful to be in a worshiping church y'all don't realize it tonight y'all don't realize it at all but there's some places that get this about once a year and they call it a revival service but i'm so thankful that this happens about every sunday night somebody's brought a praise to the house of the lord somebody's got a tongue somebody's got an interpretation somebody's got a song somebody's got a dance and when we blend it all together it creates an apostolic jesus name worship service and i'm glad to be a part of it tonight i am so glad to be a part of it what a wonderful way to start the year off baptized a husband and wife this morning in jesus wonderful name they left with the glow of the lord upon them young lady brittany where you at tonight brittany were you when you stand brittany would you stand brittany came all the way from birmingham alabama a week or so ago to be baptized but god began to open some doors for brittany and employment opened up here in maryville and i think she just lives a few miles down the road now brittany we love you you're a piece to the puzzle here at first apostolic church we love you appreciate you tonight if you have your bibles and would stand with me this evening i promise you i was thinking brother hammond i do not have a message to match the worship and then when i got to thinking about it the worship is for god the word is for us did you hear that the worship is for god it ought to be spectacular it ought to be that which stands out above everything about our service because the worship is for god what am i about to do tonight is for us i want to be saved don't you the greatest thing you and i ever heard then peter said unto them repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of jesus christ for the remission of your sins and you shall receive the gift of the holy ghost for the promise for the promise is unto you and to your children and to those that are far off as many as the lord our god shall call oh when i saw that pressing young man tonight come down around that altar dancing around i not only looked and so i not only looked and saw parents but i saw grandparents tonight that's what this holy ghost salvation is for it's for the whole family it's for the whole family tonight i'm so glad for this wonderful jesus name salvation have your bibles tonight turn with me to the book of luke chapter number seven verse number 11. we've made a statement i believe that our worship has been extraordinary this morning and tonight and i believe that our worship is prophetically prophetically speaking that we are making a statement we are making a statement and that statement is our god reigns our god reigns don't know what 2021 holds but i know who holds 20 21. amen no fear no fear it's impossible to worship god and have fear at the same time if you have fear that paralyzes your worship but if you have worship that paralyzes your fear i don't know about you but i want to paralyze some fear we've had a lot of fear on us long enough it's time for us to worship paralyzed fear amen and it came to pass the same the day it came to pass the day after that he went into a city called nain and many of his disciples went with him and much people now when they when he came nigh to the gate of the city behold there was a dead man carried out the only son of his mother and she was a widow and much people of the city followed or were was with her and when the lord saw her he had compassion on her and said unto her weep not and he came and touched the beer and they that bare him stood still and he said young man i say unto thee arise and he that was dead set up and began to speak and he delivered him to his mother and there came a fear on all and they glorified god saying that a great prophet is risen up among us and that god hath visited his people and this rumor of him went forth throughout all judea and throughout all the region round about would you just lift your hands would you submit yourself tonight to god would you submit yourself and just lift your hands as the bible says would you submit your voice tonight and would you lift your voice up and ask god to speak to you through the word tonight oh mighty god i pray for all the hurting people that's in this room lord i pray for all the hurting people god that's watching by way of the internet i pray for the lonely tonight i pray for the hurting tonight i pray for those god who feel that there is no hope i pray god for those god that are about on the edge of giving up i pray tonight lord that you would walk through this building you would use the voice of a man and god you would walk the aisles of this church and god not only that lord but you would allow this to be anointed on the internet tonight in living rooms around the world that hurting people could fall on their knees and begin to call out to you you would heal them jesus use us tonight jesus name we pray the church said amen you may be seated i'd like to minister tonight for a few moments for a few moments on this subject when two worlds meet when two worlds meet let's talk about the city of name for a moment the city of name city of nain was located on a beautiful hillside there in the holy land the word name has many different meanings one of the meanings is green pastures green pastures one of the meanings of name is gracefulness one of the meanings of name is lovely and one of the meanings of name is beauty what a city what a name had to be named that for reason i believe that it lived up to every everything that i just told you that the name means green pastures graceful lovely and beauty it's much like jericho we study the word jericho the word jericho means fragrance that's what it means it means fragrance now those of you that have been to the holy land those of you that have seen pictures of the holy land it has beautiful lush it's a very fruitful place but it's not always been a fruitful place it's not always been heavily populated the bible tells us in second kings that there was a time when although the city was situated in a pleasant place as a matter of fact they even referred to jericho as pleasant and as the situation of pleasant but jericho had a major major issue the water of jericho was poisonous and so therefore the bible tells us that the land was barren and not only was the land bearing but it was not heavily populated i did a little research on this and historians tell us that because the water was poisonous many of the women who got pregnant miscarried there wasn't a lot of bursts happening in jericho certainly nothing was growing from the ground because the water was poisonous and of course it was poisonous until that day that they told the prophet elisha about the situation and under the direction of god almighty the creator of water under the direction of god almighty elisha ordered that for there to be a new container filled with salt to be thrown into the well and from that mixing of the new container and salt there was a miracle that happened to the well there at jericho and the ground the waters were healed and the land began to grow lush foliage and the miscarriages became few and the population became heavy what a wonderful place jericho what a wonderful place name these two cities have something very much in common with the church the church the bible says in psalms 48 chapter the bible says that the church was created for beautiful situation in other words the church is created for whatever situation life may bring us the church is situated to handle any situation haven't we all seen the church beautify events there's nothing more beautiful than a young man and a young woman exchanging their wedding vows in the church and there's nothing any more beautiful than a warrior saint of god being rolled down these aisles and we lay them to rest because of their labor in the lord what about babies being brought up and anointing babies and dedicating babies the house of god seems just to beautify any situation that will come its way i've seen husbands and wives on the verge of divorce come to the church set on opposite sides of the building but sometime in the midst of that service the holy ghost began to move before it was over i've seen husbands and wives meet in the altar and go home in the same car and love god and are still married to this day can you say amen beautiful for situations i've seen the heartbreak of heartbreaks brought here i've seen the joy of all joys brought here as a matter of fact we begin sister hannah we begin a custom we begin a custom with our children our grandchildren i believe the custom began we began a custom that when we picked them up at the hospital that we brought them the first place they'd come to all of our grandchildren we brought them to the church and we videoed if we're going to video them their nursery let's video a room that really means something to them we have video of our grandchildren being brought to the house of god up on the hill and walking them around and telling them this is the altar this is the baptismal pool this is the place that means so much to you i'm thankful for the church tonight aren't you to me the church tonight is my name the church tonight is my name i could say the church tonight is my green pasture i could say the church tonight is my grace i could say the church tonight is lovely i could say the church tonight is beautiful i could say the church tonight i could say the church tonight is the fragrance of all fragrance so now that we've talked about the city of name let's drop down just a moment and talk about two companies of people the bible says in luke 7 and 12 now when he was come nigh jesus was come nigh to the gate of the city behold there was a dead man carried out the only son of his mother she was a widow and much people of the city was with her fall back to verse number 11 for just a moment it came to pass the day after that he went into the city called name the city i'm preaching about tonight pleasant beautiful fragrant and many of his disciples went with him and much people let's talk about this first company for just a moment this first company is led by none other than the head of our church jesus christ and don't you love him tonight it's being led by the lord jesus christ it's being led by a number of men and women that have made the decision to live for god to love god to have him pour into them they became not just believers but they became disciples while speaking of the word process you do know it is a process don't stop with just just just being a believer don't stop in the elementary school of god with just being a believer go on and be a disciple because all believers should become disciples all believers should become disciples but you don't stay a disciple you stay around him long enough you begin to pick up his traits you begin to pick up his mannerisms you begin to turn the other cheek go the second mile pray for your enemies that's called being a christian oh how i want to go from being a believer to a disciple to a christian you see when it says the disciples were there with him these are some sold out people these are some people that have that have sow their businesses in order to follow jesus these are serious people they've given up a lot of things to follow after him and then after you have the disciples following him then you have just simply the term much people i mean it wasn't a small crowd he seems to anywhere jesus would go there seems to be a crowd that would follow him he seems to present that about himself as a matter of fact that's why they ran out of wine at the wedding of canaan of galilee because jesus was invited there and when jesus was invited there were there much more people that came along so i want you to visualize this with me in your mind this is some more crowd of people that's being led by the lord jesus this is not just a handful of people this is one lord and a lot of people that are following him and i can't help and i don't believe i'm stretching this tonight but i can't help but believe somebody was praising him i can't help believe tonight that somebody was happy in that crowd i believe that was a different crowd i believe they were happy i believe there was some singing going on there was some excitement going on why not you're following jesus i studied a little bit about all the names of jesus isaiah 40 and 5 says he's the glory of god john 8 and 58 says he's the i am revelation 1 8 says he's alpha and omega john 1 29 said he's the lamb of god revelation says he's the root of david john says he's a good shepherd john says he's the word john says he's the branch john says he's the prophet john says he's the bride and morning star the bible says he's the light of the world the arm of the lord the servant the man of sorrows the way the redeemer the horn of salvation the gate the mediator the cornerstone the bread of life emmanuel son of god prince of peace messiah savior king of jesus he's jesus now you can't follow somebody like that and look like you've been born in pickle juice and born on the dark side of the moon they're following jesus don't just haphazardly tell me you're loving jesus you can't love him haphazardly so what a crowd what a crowd he's leading the crowd he's a life giver he's a waymaker he's a sea walker he's the one that can tie the most educated of the pharisees up in knots and leave them hanging there's not a mind that comes out of corinth that can tie up jesus try to mess him up with taxes and he'll ask for a coin and he'll say whose picture is that on the corn coin and they'll say caesar and he'll turn around and say render unto caesar the things that are caesar and unto god the things that are god they'll think they've got him in a corner with a woman caught in the act of adultery by saying moses says she should be stoned boys if he tells us to stone her he's in trouble with rome if he says leave her alone he's in trouble with us boy boy boy don't we have him you thought you did until he asked one simple question he that is without sin cast the first stone if you're hungry he's a self-made baker if you're thirsty he's water out of a rock if you're dead he's the resurrection if you're crippled he's the healer if you're blind he's your eyes if you're deaf he's your ears if you can't speak he's your tongue if you're broke he's your money i i don't know if i'm doing a good enough job brother knuckles but i'm telling you you got a daddy in the hospital and you know what jesus is to your daddy jesus is our healer tonight don't you know what i'm talking about in this place oh i wish you'd seen tonight i wish you'd see that little city of names sitting up on the hill beautiful graceful fragrant i wish you'd see jesus in your mind here he comes he's leading the crowd i can't see him in the middle of him and i sure can't see him lagging behind he's leading the crowd he's he's leading the crowd and he starts to turn to go up into name as he turns into the gate thus my title when two worlds he turns to go up into the gate and when he does verse 12 says now when he came night to the gate of the city behold there was a dead man you can't get any more opposite than this when he came into the turn into the gate of the city behold there was a dead man carried out the only son of his mother oh my oh my we're not talking about just losing a child we're talking about losing your only child i mean i mean it's bad it'd be bad enough i'm not making i'm not making a lot of anybody's lost a child oh no no no no i mean this was her only her only son oh how bleak this is this is her only son of his mother oh wait a minute what am i reading and she was a widow look at how this keeps turning it's not only that she has lost her only son that's not the first time the chili fingers of death reached into her life and pulled something out of value she knows what it's like not to have to cook supper because he's not coming home she knows what it's like to be a little more cautious because she's a widow and nobody is going to look out for me but myself but all this fake would have it the chilly hand of death reached a second time into the family and took her son you know you can't get any more bleak than this a widow now childless there's enough people around her the bible says and much people of the city was with her now get the picture now the widow black pulled over her face weeping weeping sobbing no husband no child what will i do a town that has compassion for no doubt in that crowd was a few flute players and a few harp players that were doing their best mother farp to soothe the hurt of this woman blowing softly on flutes trying to create a sound that would that would soothe her troubled mind strumming softly on strings trying to somehow somehow just soothe this woman there's a crowd and no doubt the mourners have joined in and you can hear the low hum as a matter of fact research that i have done in the bible our custom is a little different today when we want to show our respect somebody for someone who's had a death in their family we will order flowers and we will have flowers sent as a token as some kind of visible sign that we mourn for you but in the bible days you didn't send flowers you would hire professional mourners there were people that worked and became very skilled at being able to utter lamentable sounds that were sounds of woe and vexation no doubt can you hear it with me tonight could you imagine with me and can you hear the sound of this crowd the low hum the the crying out the sobbing the weeping that came and on the other side can you hear someone saying i praise you jesus i love you jesus i magnify you maybe tonight in that crowd that was with jesus was a leper that had been cleansed and maybe he couldn't get over it he kept saying thank you jesus thank you jesus thank you jesus you see you can't ever have him do something for you that you're just not always thankful for thank you jesus thank you jesus brother thomas i believe brother thompson i believe that to the day you die you'll be thankful for a savior that came to where you were at when the vices of sin brother thompson had you and the coffin was already made to put your body in and you shouldn't even be here tonight you should have been in your grave a long time ago in the state of florida but thanks be unto god you know what i'm saying is the truth tonight jesus christ walked into your world and before it was over he broke the addictions he broke the chains and you're a worshiper you're a praiser you're a shouter you're a believer because jesus can't do anything for you that what you're not just ever so thankful for am i telling the truth andrew husky am i telling the truth tonight hasn't he brought you through a few christmases hasn't he brought you through a few things you just can't tell me tonight jesus can do something for you he's not our spiritual musician that pulls rabbits out of a hat he's not our lawyer that we go to he's not a genie in a bottle let me tell you something he's brought me a mighty long long way and if he never does another thing in kenny carpenter's life i'll forever be indebted that a 16 year old long-haired pot-smoking boy that god reached down his hand and brought me out of sin i should already be in the graveyard i should already i should already be in prison i should already serve time i should already have a messed up life but jesus came into my life oh but jesus came into my life can i get a witness tonight could we get something broke out in here tonight is there any people in this room that jesus has done something for and you would like to stand at your feet and say i'm in that crowd that's the crowd i'm in i'm in that crowd that's the problem come on tonight i'm going to give you just a few moments i'm in that crowd i'm in that crowd i'm in that crowd you might have been raised by a single parent your mama did the best she could do for you but you know it was jesus that brought you out oh it was jesus that brought you out oh my mama you may be seeing i'm just going to preach a few more moments tonight there's some there's some there's some people here tonight that don't even know who their mom and daddies are they've never seen their biological mamas and daddies they got in a they got in a system that was adopting adopting them out and moving them around but somehow the great instructive hand of almighty god just so beautifully orchestrated that you would be you would be adopted out to a family that loved jesus christ and because of all that you look back over your life and say it had to have been the hand of the almighty god nothing short of the hand of god some people just need to praise him just need to praise him lepers cleansed prostitutes delivered and forgiven crooked businessmen set free men that owned successful fishing businesses now disciples worship and praise maybe a man that was paralyzed is walking in the crowd maybe a blind man is walking in the crowd maybe the woman was caught in the act of adulteries in the crowd it's a jovial crowd it's a happy crowd but now it meets couldn't be any more opposite a lot of people mourning a lot of people hopeless widow motherless childless helpless sadness something interesting happened can i just tell you a little bit more about our jesus tonight can i tell you what's not in verse 13. can i tell you what's not in verse 13 what's not in verse 13 is a request by the woman to jesus to do something there's no request these two worlds collide and a savior goes to work nobody in the other crowd said hey that's jesus i hear that he raised lazarus hey that's jesus i hear that he raised a 12 year old girl from the dead hey that nobody from the crowd nothing happened two worlds met at a beautiful place one world is hurting and one world is healthy one world is weeping over a lost soul another world is rejoicing over a savior one world is asking for mercy another world is following messiah and when the lord saw her he had compassion on her and said unto her weep not let me tell you something about jesus now before i quit he's such a savior that if you're hurting you don't even have to invite him to come to where you're at what a savior you don't have to email him you don't have to text him you don't have to know a friend of a friend that a friend if you are hurting you automatically attract the savior to you nobody had to tell him it's not recorded that anybody told him what was going on when he saw her he had compassion on her i know that you're a widow i know that you've lost your son and i know that you must have inconsolable grief right now going on that's why i have walked up into your life just simply to tell you weep not weep not can i tell you the first thing that jesus wants to be so powerful to us a lot of times before he goes to work on our problems he needs to first work on the person before he goes to work on the dead boy he wants to work on the inconsolable mother that's weeping you see tonight a lot of us want him to go to work on our problems but he wants to walk into first apostolic tonight walk right up to the pew where you're at walk right to where you're hurting and speak two words into your life because i am here weep not everything is going to be all right jesus is here everything how do you know it's going to be all right it just know it's going to be all right because jesus is here are you sure brother carpenter i'm sure as i'm standing here tonight everything is going to be all right because jesus is here there's not enough viruses to eradicate jesus there's not enough government laws to eradicate jesus as long as heaven and earth is here there will always be a jesus oh friend can i tell you about him again he's the glory of the lord he is the i am he is the alvin the omega he is the lamb of god the root of david the good shepherd the word the branch the prophet the morning star the light of the world the arm of the lord the servant all the way can i tell you tonight we've not we not i just wish he'd come and do this and i'll stop crying no that's not how he works he wants you to stop and then he'll go to work we musicians come on i'm done come on i'm done tonight let's just give him some praise doing great awesome take this off i'm hurting i'm hurting psalms 34 18 in this room in this room there's people with hurts hurts hurts life has hurt you yes give god praise right now just give god praise come on pray with me for a moment i want to minister in the holy ghost that devil is so ruthless he is so merciless i'm talking to somebody that dreads every time you get up in the middle of the night because many times you're hurt to where you can't go back to sleep the two worlds are going to meet here in just a moment i'm talking to a young man or young woman that was in that system that i talked about adoption you ask about your past son and sometimes pride gets the best of you you want to ask more but you don't but you're hurting you know psychiatrists gotta got an answer for you i think about kevin and addy tonight we said goodbye to their father a few months ago you say what you want to then a psychiatrist got an answer for them medication is not the answer only thing going to help kevin and addie is feeling always hear somebody tell them god is close kevin to every hurt every hurt you put that verse of scripture psalms 34. did you put it on the screen i wish somebody just read it out with me at night the lord huh where's the lord at where's he at he's nice close a broken heart he's nice close he just simply steps up he touches the woman and he simply says to her weep not i know i may be asking something right now sometimes it takes a little payment of something for us to say god i'm i'm this serious god i want any person in this room that's truly hurt to stand to your feet right now hurt hurt hurt oh god oh god when two worlds collide the savior leaves the jumping and the shouting the savior leaves those that are entertaining him with worship he slips back to put his hand upon that woman and say weep not weep not when the wise keep you up late at night and drive you to the brink of insanity there is a god whose name is jesus he's in this place tonight as sure as i'm standing here why don't you those of you that are standing why don't you just come up and stand around the altar with me for a moment i love you god i love you god the rest of you stand or anybody else who wants to come stand around the altar tonight i love you lord oh god i love you god oh for every mother that cries because a son or daughter is incarcerated oh god a mother and father who cries who can't even enjoy a good meal because they think of their son and daughter that's incarcerated oh god oh god oh god a young person that stands here tonight you'd like to see your mama's face you wonder what does she look like what does my daddy look like oh i don't know if you'll ever see them but would you just let that herb go into the hands of jesus right now come on come on the holy ghost gonna move come on the more we open up our hurts the more the holy ghost comes in the more we open up our hurts tonight i've heard oh yes oh somebody oh somebody i know we're trying to be as cautious as we can about coping oh but would somebody just pray with one another tonight many i pray for you wait a minute tonight wait a minute please just wait a minute and the holy ghost has told me someone's watching right now fall to your knees fall to your knees and lift your hands up right now he sees your hurt he says you're hurt he sees your pain he's watched you cry he cares about you stop waiting for him to straighten it out stop waiting for the resurrection he wants to settle you down tonight he's going to answer your prayer he's going to raise the boy from the dead but he's got to first settle you down oh yes those of you that are watching tonight by way of the internet go ahead and communicate with those in in in the audio in the chat room go ahead by my way up my text message and go ahead and go ahead and they'll pray with you over the phone they'll they'll call you they'll pray with you right now hurting i heard him oh my god come on come on let's relinquish your right to weak the more that you relinquish your right to be heard and hear the words of jesus say we've not parents that are hurt because their children are serving god he understands that you did the best you could you put them through school you gave them you set them up leave not my brother we not my mother we not oh we've not i'm believing that god is gonna let you see them in the church before you draw your last breath god is to answer some prayers and you're going to see them in the church come on come on let's minister right now in the holy ghost he's minister right now the holy ghost goes i knew yes so we worship you tonight for jesus everything i knew jesus right here so we worship you tonight we to you for you are the son of god jesus we watched jesus here is is we are we are me oh oh is oh i don't believe the lord is finished here we totally understand the hour gets late many of you men and women get up so early for work and i totally understand the reason we need to minister to wounded people tonight if wounded people are not ministered to they become people who wound if people who are wounded do not submit to the touch of the savior saying weep not automatically begin to wound and they don't even know it they don't even know that they're wounding for example you take a father that he may not have known how to talk to a son he may not have known how to express frustration he may have let all foul words flow from his mouth when you broke that glass he might have said some of the most ugly things about you when you wrecked your motorbike he might have said a lot of ugly things to you when you brought those f's home doesn't make it right but you see god sees the whole picture that's why we need some generational curses to be broken because your dad may have treated you the way he did because his dad treated him that way i wish some of you could have met my father he was one of the most loving me and my sister was here tonight he was he's one of the most loving men you'd ever want to be around it was touchy to be a man he was i know what it's like to have him put us put me and jerry both on his knees and sing the song to us help little horses go to town i know what it's like for him to come harass and take his beard and rub it in our in our ribs and we would laugh there's men standing here tonight that's such far away from the way he was raised he was raised never hearing the father say son i'm proud of you son i love you saying you shouldn't rent your motorbike you ought to be careful but i'm going to tell you it happens to all of us i love you wounded people if you don't let god minister you tonight you'll go through your life wounding you'll die all alone because people who are known for wounding all share one thing in common they're loners because eventually nobody wants to be around a wounder could we right now and almost 20 minutes too late could we just lift our hands and ask that world come and touch us if you're wounded would you just lift your hands god help me god help me to watch the way that i speak to my wife god help me watch the way that i speak to my grandchildren oh come on out i'll be more transparency than this tonight god help me lord those that are closest to me help me to speak love oh god help us lord to get over our wounded show us the air of our ways show us god lord reveal to us lord how we're wounding those that we love come on singers one more time oh how i love him it's the only way we're ever gonna be healed right here
