Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

Jesus Himself Spoke of His Coming

  • He opens from a book he was reading: in all his epistles Paul refers to baptism thirteen times but speaks of the Lord's return fifty times; one verse in every thirty in the New Testament refers to the second coming, and the Old Testament carries twenty times as many references to the second coming as to the first.
  • His simple answer: he believes Jesus is coming a second time because he came the first time; this world is not our home but a place of preparation for eternity.
  • Matthew 16:27 is read: the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
  • Matthew 25:31 is read: when the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory.
  • John 14:1-3 is read: in my Father's house are many mansions; I go to prepare a place for you, and if I go I will come again and receive you unto myself.
  • John 21:22 is read: if I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me — Jesus himself puts the emphasis on 'till I come.'

Scriptures: Matthew 16:27; Matthew 25:31; John 14:1-3; John 21:22

Messengers, Paul, James, and Peter

  • Acts 1:10-11 is read: the two men in white apparel tell the gazing disciples that this same Jesus, taken up into heaven, shall so come in like manner as they have seen him go.
  • Philippians 3:20-21 is read: our conversation — our manner of life — is in heaven, from whence we look for the Savior, who shall change our vile body to be fashioned like his glorious body.
  • Titus 2:13 is read: looking for that blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ; the early church spoke often of the second return.
  • Hebrews 9:28 is read: Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many, and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
  • He warns that the Pharisees missed the first coming because they were occupied with relevant questions and were not looking for him; he does not want to be found looking over the top of the second coming.
  • James 5:7 is read: be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord, as the husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the earth.
  • 2 Peter 1:16-19 is read at length: Peter says we have not followed cunningly devised fables, and though he saw the transfiguration with his own eyes, we have a more sure word of prophecy — a light shining in a dark place.

Scriptures: Acts 1:10-11; Philippians 3:20-21; Titus 2:13; Hebrews 9:28; James 5:7; 2 Peter 1:16-19

A More Sure Word in a Shaken World

  • The present trouble is nothing beside the tribulation coming on the earth; that is why he will preach and teach more on the second return, so the church believes it, expects it, and orders its life by it.
  • He cites Jeremiah: if you have been wearied with footmen, what are you going to do when the horses come?
  • Jude 1:14 is read: the seventh from Adam prophesied — behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints.
  • 1 John 2:28 is read: and now, little children, abide in him, that when he shall appear we may have confidence and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
  • Revelation 1:7 is read: behold, he cometh with clouds, and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him.

Scriptures: Jeremiah 12:5; Jude 1:14; 1 John 2:28; Revelation 1:7

The Table Between the Cross and the Crown

  • The last thing Jesus instituted before Calvary was the Lord's Supper; 1 Corinthians 11:26 gives the reason for communion: as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you do show the Lord's death till he come.
  • The supper points in two directions: back to Calvary and the price he paid, and forward to his coming again. Whatever he asks his people to refrain from is for their benefit; he would withhold no good thing from them.
  • 1 Peter 1:10-11 is read: the prophets inquired and searched diligently what manner of time the Spirit of Christ in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow.
  • He diagrams the ages: between the fall of man and the cross stands the altar, where sins were pushed forward year by year; between the cross and the crown stands the table, while the church expects his return.
  • His own received him not: they watched for a glorious king only and could not join the suffering Savior to the glorious one; he came as both, and three days after the cross he came out of the tomb.

Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 11:26; 1 Peter 1:10-11

He Appears the Second Time

  • Hebrews 9:24-28 is read in full at the close: Christ is entered into heaven itself to appear in the presence of God for us; he appeared once in the end of the world to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself, and unto them that look for him he appears the second time without sin unto salvation.
  • His three appearances are distinguished: he appeared on earth as our sacrifice, he appears in heaven now as our mediator and advocate, and when he comes again he will save our bodies and give us a new body like his.
  • He addresses two ailing saints by name — Sister Mary Crowder and Sister Evelyn Croucher — and promises them that at the second coming they will be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye.
  • Revelation 11:15 is read: the seventh angel sounded, and the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign for ever and ever.
  • Revelation 20:1-4 is read: an angel binds the dragon, that old serpent which is the Devil and Satan, for a thousand years and shuts him up; the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus live and reign with Christ a thousand years.
  • In that millennial reign creation itself changes, the hostile animals lie down together, and a person dying at a hundred years old will be mourned as just a child.

Scriptures: Hebrews 9:24-28; Revelation 11:15; Revelation 20:1-4

Behold, I Come as a Thief

  • Revelation 16:15 is read as the final text: behold, I come as a thief; blessed is he that watcheth and keepeth his garments. The verse is to the church.
  • A thief comes unannounced, without letter or warning; he comes quickly; and he does not take everything in the house but only the valuables. So Christ comes for those who love him, know his name, read his word, and have a relationship with him.
  • To be born again, as he sums it up, is to believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, repent of sins, be water baptized in his name for the remission of sins, and be filled with the Spirit of God.
  • He closes with an appeal to those watching at home under conviction to pray with whoever is beside them, and with a benediction over the congregation in anticipation of our soon-coming King.

well this evening I was reading a book a book written many years ago by a man by the name of Charles Arkan in his book entitled dispensational truths he says Paul and all of his epistles refers but thirteen times to baptism Paul and all of his epistles referenced baptism thirteen times while he speaks of the Lord's return fifty times he spoke of baptism thirteen times and he speaks of the second return of Jesus Christ to this earth fifty times one verse in every thirty in the New Testament refers to Jesus Christ's second coming one in every 30 verses refer to Jesus Christ's second return there are twenty times as many references in the Old Testament to Christ's second coming as to his first coming there are 20 more times in the Old Testament that talk more that talk about the second coming then his first coming now if I put a title on this Bible study and I don't want to go ahead get your Bible get pen and paper and just get ready to write down scripture because you need to be at you need to be able to answer from the Bible why I believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ why do I believe why do I believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ now just do something a little different normally I'll read a text and we'll pray but why don't we pray before I read the text tonight let's just pray father I love you tonight I thank you God for your word that you have given to us your word is our roadmap your word God reveals your mind we know you what your will is by reading and studying your word lord help us tonight help us God in reading your word to understand why we believe that you are coming again in Jesus name help us tonight amen and amen why I believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ well I guess I could answer that kind of a simple response I believe he's coming for the second time because he came the first time I have confidence that there will be a second return of Jesus Christ because there was a first appearing on this earth of Jesus Christ now why do I believe that Jesus is coming again and we we must we must understand that this world is not our home this world is a temporal place it's a simply a place and a space of years that you and I are given in preparation for where we will spend eternity why do I believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ first and foremost Jesus himself spoke of his second coming while here on this earth fulfilling the first time he came because after all prophecy told about it it's interesting what prophecy is when it comes to God prophecy is history that has not been made when God prophesies when God gives a prophecy to a man or a woman things that he's going to do he tells them history this history this is what's going to come and sometimes that history has not even been made yet but it's as good as history because God has said it Jesus Christ in Matthew chapter 16 and verse number 27 let's listen to Jesus for the Son of man shall come in the glory of his father with his angels and then he shall reward every man according to his works so here's a scripture of Jesus speaking himself once and he says when the Son of man shall come in the glory just underline that when the Son of man shall come in the glory of his father with his angels Matthew chapter 25 and verse number 31 and again tonight we're gonna read a whole lot of Scripture a whole lot of Scripture because what you need and I need to understand is the second coming of Jesus Christ is not our opinion it's not a church denomination opinion it is out of the Word of God just as sure as he came the first time he is coming again the second time Matthew 25:31 again these are the words of Jesus when the Son of man shall come in his glory and all of the holy angels with him then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory again he speaks the second time her second scripture I'm using that says when the Son of man shall come John chapter 14 verse number 1 probably the most familiar passages of scripture about the second coming of Jesus Christ Jesus said in John 14 and 1 let not your heart be troubled you believe in God believe also in me in my father's house are many mansions if it were not so I would have told you I go to prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place for you I will come again I will come again you asked me why do you believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ plainly because Jesus said I know it seems very elementary but the church in this hour needs to be woke up shook up to the fact that Jesus is coming again if I go and prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place for you I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am there you may be also John chapter 21 verse number 22 jesus saith unto Him if I will that he tarry till i come what is that to thee follow thou me then went this saying abroad among the Brethren that that disciple should not die yet jesus said not of to him that he should not die but but if I will that he tarry till I come so again emphasis is upon Jesus himself saying I'm coming I'm coming again now we have the heavenly messengers the heavenly messengers in Acts chapter 1 and verse number 10 and 11 Jesus had just descended before a crowd of about 500 people he had ascended up into heaven and the Bible said in verse number 11 or verse number 10 and while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up behold two men stood by them in white apparel which also said Ye men of Galilee why stand gazing up into heaven this same Jesus which is taken up from you into heaven shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven so now we not only have Jesus Christ saying that he's coming again but when he did ascend in a heaven when a cloud came and received him and gravity he defied gravity and he ascended left this earth and ascended up into heaven of course they are they they are awestruck with that he has lifted from the ground and he's going up into heaven when these two messengers asked them why do you stand gazing appear into heaven for this same Jesus whom you have seen go away shall so come again in like manner o friend we understand the Apostle Paul and we have Jesus you're keeping notes we have Jesus that many times said he was coming again we have these heavenly messengers that told the disciples that he was coming again now let's hear from the Apostle Paul writer of over half a New Testament Bible for Philippians chapter 3 and verse 2021 for our conversation that means manner of life for our manner of life is in heaven from whence also we look for the Savior the Lord Jesus Christ who shall change our vile body that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body according to the working whereby he is able able even to subdue all things unto himself Paul begin to say we have our manner of life in heaven of which we are looking we are we are looking for our Lord and Savior then in Titus chapter 2 Paul again and Titus chapter 2 verse number 13 and please understand that I am NOT I I didn't speak all of the scriptures that Jesus talked about coming again I I just I just selected a few I didn't use all of the scriptures that the heavenly messengers told that Jesus was coming just a selected one and I have only selected I'm not talking about all the scriptures that Paul used I'm just selecting just certain ones but there are many more Titus 2:13 listen to him writing to Titus looking for that blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ in other words the early church spoke often they spoke often about the second return of Jesus Christ I I'm going to tell you one thing that coded 19 is done for me is that I believe that it is cause it should cause us instead of preaching things that are relevant to people's current conditions and I'm not saying I'm not going to do that i I'm going to tell you that a God is faithful that he's gonna be with you when you make walks off I'm gonna tell you that he's gonna be with you when you factory shuts down I'm I'm gonna tell you I'm gonna preach to you to tell you that if you'll shout and praise God God will help you but I won't do a whole lot more preaching and teaching in the days to come because the greatest relevant need of the New Testament church is to get ready for the second return of Jesus Christ amen to get ready for that second return listen to Paul again in Hebrews chapter 9 verse number 28 so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many and unto them that look for him unto them that's that's it resting there unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation when I want you to know that they're just like his first coming there were those that did not read well they were Old Testament reading Pharisees Sadducees that misty they missed it because they were more concerned with relevant issues of how many steps how to welcome the Sabbath day and should they eat an egg that a hen laid on the Sabbath day because the hen had to work and lay the egg and would they even some of them got so working on the Sabbath day they wouldn't even flick a flea off of them on the Sabbath day for fear they were working would not would not drink milk from a goat that gave that milk on the Sabbath and on and on he could go until when Jesus came when Jesus came they looked right over the top of him and you know why it's because they were not looking for him so this second time I don't want to be in the number of those that are looking over the top I want to be someone that's looking I'm looking for the soon second return of Jesus Christ now not only did Jesus speak of it not only did the heavenly messenger speak of it not only did the Apostle Paul's becoming but let's read from James chapter 5 verse number 7 the Apostle James pastor of the new of the church there in Jerusalem be patient therefore brethren unto the coming of the Lord be patient therefore brethren unto the coming of the Lord behold the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth and have long patience for it until he received the early and the latter rain when James was talking about being patient he told them to be patient with the coming of the Lord in mind now not only to James but even Peter the powerful preacher of Pentecost in 2nd Peter chapter 1 verses 16 through 19 he says for we have not followed cunny cunningly devised fables when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ but were i witness 'as of his majesty for he received from god the father' honor and glory when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased and this voice which came from heaven we heard when we were with him in the holy mount we have also a more sure word of prophecy whereunto he do well that you take heed unto a light that shine if in a dark place until the day dawn and the day star arise in your heart listen to the Peter he starts talking about his preaching and he said this is not a bunch of fables this is not a bunch of hand-me-down traditions this is the infallible Word of God and then he talks about an experience that he had on Mount Transfiguration where Jesus Christ was transfigured before him and and Peter James and John and Moses and Elijah appeared and what a sight that must have been but Peter says we have a more sure word did you catch that I mean you talk about an experience of pray and all of a sudden the very clothing and skin of Jesus Christ begins blistering it it begins to shine brighter than the noonday Sun and it was literally divinity inside of this human man that was glowing and then if that wasn't enough if that wasn't enough Moses and Elijah stand there I mean what an experience but Peter said we had a more that verse 19 we have a more sure word of prophecy in other words he said I've got something that's greater than me seeing Jesus transfigured I've got something than me seeing Moses and Elijah what is it I've got a sure word of prophecy I've got a sure word you see I believe that Jesus Christ is coming again and that we would do well to get ready for that day we would do very well I mean our world is upside down right now our world is absolutely upside down right now empty shelves at the grocery store long lines and at different places like Lowe's or whatever Home Depot and all of its got us all all shook up travel bans and all of that have got us all shook up there's a scripture in Jeremiah that says these words if you have been wearied with footmen what are you going to do when the horses come he likens it to battle he says if just seeing the side of soldiers weary you what are you going to do when they come riding in on horses and so I I know wherever we're just kind of upside down about about empty stores and all of this that's going on but really what we're going through right now with kovat 19 is nothing in comparison to the tribulation that's coming to this earth it's absolutely nothing that is coming that's why that's why I'm going to preach more about the second return of Jesus Christ to where we believe it to where we expect it and we alter the way that we live the way that we witness the way that we believe because Jesus is coming again we have a more sure word of prophecy then there's Jude Jude chapter 1 verse number 14 Jude says any not also the seventh from Adam prophesied say behold the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his Saints here you see this continual thread you see if if they were here tonight if I had them sitting on the platform tonight from Jesus to the heavenly messengers to the Apostle Paul to the Apostle James to the Apostle Peter to Jew they would all have one message the Lord is coming the Lord is coming the Lord is coming then we go to the Apostle John in first John chapter 2 and verse number 28 listen to John first John chapter 2 verse 28 and now little children abide in him that when he shall appear we may have confidence and not be ashamed before him at his coming and then again in the book of Revelation chapter number one verse number seven you can't get seven verses in this book of 22 chapters this book that unfolds the end of time you don't get seven verses until John bursts forth and says behold he come up with clouds well is it that right didn't the heavenly messengers tell us in acts one when a cloud received him Jesus out of their sight and the heavenly messengers that this same Jesus that you have seen go away shall so come in like manner John he says in chapter 1 verse 7 behold he cometh with clouds and every eye shall see him and they also which pierced him and all the Kindred's of the earth shall wail because of him even so amen now not only this do you understand that Jesus left us with a feast the last thing he instituted before he went to Calvary was to take the Passover meal and turn it into what we call the Lord's Supper the last thing he did was to say take this wine drink this cup this is my blood core we're talking symbolism it doesn't it is not the blood of Jesus it does not become the blood of Jesus he said take this cup drink it this represents my blood that I'm going to shed for you take this bread break it and eat it this represents the Sun leaven this unleavened bread represents my sinless life my body that will be broken for you and it is what we call communion but do you understand why we have communion 1st Corinthians chapter 11 verse number 26 the reason that we have communion 1st Corinthians 11 and 26 for as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup you do show the Lord's death look at the last three words of that verse till he come he left them he left them a feast he left them a ceremony and when they set down to drink the cup and eat the bread it is pointing in two different directions it points back to Calvary it points back if Christians if we can just realize when we begin to read the scripture and the scripture calls on us to live discipline lives the scripture calls on us to come out from the world and be separate the scripture calls on us to deny our flesh the scripture calls on us to be a separate people and when we begin to look at ourselves in the light of society and in the light of a world that that is just living their lives to the wind sometimes we can begin to wonder in is it worth it is it worth it but you know when you really begin to look back at Calvary and everything that he went through for our salvation what could he ask of us that would be too high of a price to pay and can I tell you that he would never ask us to do anything that is not good that that's not going to be good for us he would withhold no good thing from us if he asked us to refrain from something it's because it will not be to our benefit and I praise and worship God for that you see that supper even the supper the Last Supper the communion that we had points in the direction back to Calvary when I see that He shed his blood for me and his body was broke from me but he didn't this feast just doesn't point back this feast points forward he said I want you to remember what I did for you I want you to remember the price that I paid for your salvation and then not just remember what I did but then turn the other direction and remember that I am coming again ho praise God he is coming he is coming again now 1st Peter chapter 1 and verse number 10 and 11 really gives the explanation of why he came into his own and his own received him not now follow this in 1st Peter chapter 1 verse 10 and 11 he says of salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you searching what and these prophets were searching what or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow see the reason they could not accept Jesus Christ was that suffering part they were looking for a glorious king they were looking for this glorious Messiah to come they were they were looking for someone to come right out of their own Pharisee group or right out of their own side you see group they were looking for somebody to come right out of their rabbi's schools but because they only got their mind on so-called glory they failed to see the suffering Savior and because they could not connect the two that he's not only a suffering Savior he is a glorious saved you know I want you to follow along with me for a moment and I'll try to cause you to imagine something but if we have right here one of my left which would be your right if we have the the fall of man we have the fall of man right here and then we have an altar because that's what God gave Adam that's what God gave man he gave man after the fall an altar an altar let's have the altar here alright so we have the fall of man here we have the altar here and then we have the cross here so in between the fall and the cross is the altar in between the fall and the cross which is the remedy cure is the altar here's the cross the altar looks back at the fall of man because that's why I've got an altar I've got an altar because I've got to look back at my sins but the first coming told about a cross told about a cross so I have my fall my altered and my cross my cure the altar is where I take my sins if the following man takes your sins and looks back but at the altar I not only look back at my sins but much like communion I look forward to the cure because in the Old Testament once a year their sins got pushed up one year not forgiven just pushed up one year because of the type of the lamb the type of the blood on the altar but the altar stood between the fall and the Cure thank God he came born into a family of poverty went to a city of low reputation can anything good come out of Nazareth came to this world or Earth the Bible said he who was rich took on poverty that we wish our poor should take on riches he didn't come because they just saw a glorious Savior they saw somebody coming out of their rabbinical schools they could they saw somebody coming out of Rome they saw a Caesar but when a little baby was born in Bethlehem when a little baby the the son of schoo son of a carpenter all in that Tower they look straight over the top of him why he could perform miracles and all they could say he's this not Joseph's son he can do all these different things and they just wanted to revert back to you you you you're not coming the way that we thought you ought to come but I am so glad tonight praise God I'm so glad tonight that he not only came as a suffering Savior but he came in the glory of the Cross because you can hang him up on a cross you can hate him and you can grit your teeth a demon when he says I and my father are one before Abraham was I am you can nail him to a cross but 72 hours later he's going to come out of that tomb because he's not just a suffering Savior he is a glorious oh why don't we just love the Lord right now just a little bit just give him some praise and honor in this house right now oh yes praise God so now wait a minute we have now the first coming what didn't we know the altar was between the fall and the cross but what's before the cross and the crown what's before this is the second coming the first coming was from the fall to the to the cross was the altar he fulfilled that but what's between the cross and the crown the table what I just went through a moment ago the communion table is in between the cross and the crown the second return because when we drink of the fruit of the vine and we partake of the unleavened bread we do shew the Lord's death remember the free words till he come what was between the fall and the cross the altar what's between the cross and the second return the table we're expecting Jesus Christ to return now when he returns in his glory remember that verse of scripture in I believe it was in it was in Hebrews nine and twenty eight Hebrews 9:28 so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin now if you would please would you give me on the screen would you give me Hebrews 9 and I believe let's start at verse number 24 maybe 9 in verse number 24 for Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands which are the figures of the true but into heaven itself now to appear in the presence of God for us you see anytime he appears it's for it it's for a reason it's for a purpose now when he appeared into heaven he is fulfilling the role of a high priest oh thank God for our mediator oh thank God for our priest today thank God for our priest today matter of fact the Bible says we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities but was made like we are you made like we are so we don't have we don't have a high priest we don't have a mediator that doesn't know what it's like to suffer we don't have a mediator that doesn't know what it's like to feel all the way to the world we have someone that can relate to us when we're broken he can relate to us because he was bro when we feel forsaken he can relate to us and we can relate to him because he was forsaken so he appeared not let me let me read on verse number 25 nor yet that he should offer himself often as the high priest entered into the holy place every year with the blood of others for then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world but now once look at this in the end of the world have he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself look at this now he appeared on earth to be our sacrifice when he appeared in a bobbly form he was not here to be our high priest he was here to be our sacrifice he appeared to take our sins away when he ascended into heaven he is not there as our sin bear he is there as our mediator so he appears to take our sins away he is he appears to take our sins away he is the sin offering he is in heaven right now he is our advocate he is the Bible says children I write unto you that you sin not but if any man sin we have an advocate with the father Jesus Christ the righteous if we will confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us oh I rejoice in the fact that on a hill far away stood an old rugged cross and on that old rugged cross friend not my good works not how much money I can give not how many days of straight good behavior I can live but when I stand I stand up on the cross I glory in the cross of Jesus Christ I don't glory in how many years I've not drunk I don't blur in how many years I've not been a womanizer I don't glory in how many I've had good behavior I glory in the cross of Jesus Christ that's what I glory in I glory in the cross but now Oh hallelujah but now he appeared if you put the verse back up for me on the screen he's in heaven he appeared in heaven he's my mediator he's my advocate it's my mediator he's my advocate let's read verse number 27 and as it is appointed unto men once to die but after this the judgment verse 28 so Christ was once offered to bear the sin of many yes he was and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation can I tell you hallelujah can I tell you that the cross saved my soul praise God the cross saved me from a devil's hell the cross saved me from burning in a lake of fire but can I tell you because he is my advocate right now when he appeared in heaven he's my advocate if I fall if I need help I call on Jesus I've got that relationship with the Father through Jesus no man cometh unto the father but by me I'm telling you how I get to God is because of the name of Jesus Christ the advocate of Jesus Christ who is God but all the best is yet to come because Calvary saved my soul but when he comes again for the second time he's gonna save my body he's gonna give me a brand new body that codeine 19 is not going to be able to in vain he's going to give me a body or friend I won't need these glasses over there when I get my new body I won't have to fear cancer I won't have to fear death because he's gonna give me a brand new body Calvary he saved my soul he appeared into heaven he keeps me in that relationship when he comes again he's gonna change my bio body to be like him and him Sister Sister Mary Crowder if you're watching me tonight sweetheart if you're watching your past tonight I know you've not been able to come to church for many months because your lungs are gone matter of fact you've already lived about three years longer than the doctor said you were going to live but sister Crowder whether God ever gives you a brand-new set of lungs or not I can tell you that one of these days at the second coming you're going to be changed in a moment and in the twinkling of an eye sister Evelyn croucher tonight sister Evelyn croucher if you're listening to your pastor tonight I want you to hear me that heart that you've got is I know you don't want a lot of attention brought to you you're just kind of that kind of lady but that heart that you've got this week the amazed that you've got this week because you believe in Jesus Christ he saved your soul at the cross he's kept you in a relationship in heaven but one of these days just as sure as he came to Bethlehem he's coming back to this earth with the sound of a trumpet and we will be changed can you say Amen oh I praise him tonight oh I pray I praise him tonight I do I do i do I praise I praise him tonight but when he comes back what's going to be between the crown and the throne the glory of God the glory of God we reach a few few few verses in closing tonight revelation 11:15 and the seventh angel sounded and there were great voices in heaven saying the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ and he shall reign forever and ever remember what was before the between the fall and the cross the altar what was between the cross and the crown the table of shewbread what was between the crown and the kingdom was the throne because when he comes back he'll take all the kingdoms of this world in something interesting in Revelation 20 and 1 I just like this I get inspired when I read it revelation 20 and verse 1 and I saw an angel come down from heaven having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand he lay hold on the dragon that old serpent which is the devil and Satan and bound him a thousand years and cast him into the bottomless pit and shut him up set a seal upon him that he should deceive the nation's No More till the thousand years were fulfilled and after that he must be loosed I saw Thrones and they that said upon them and judgment was given unto them and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the word of God which had not worshipped the Beast neither His image he had received the mark upon their foreheads or in their hands and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years it's called a thousand years thousand year millennial reign thousand year millennial reign Bible tells us that during the thousand years of having Satan shut up imagine that that just sounds good to child of God to say that Satan shut up he's bound his wicked influences are bound his voices demonic suicidal depressing voices are power and then the creation itself begins to change animals that would be hostile one to another the lion and the lamb lay down together but I believe it talks about that the natural age of a person will be prolonged and that if during that 1000 years if a person dies being a hundred years old we will say at the funeral just a child just a child just a joke nobody will preach the funeral of a hundred year old person and say well they lived a long life they'll preach that funeral and say just a child just a child that time all the kingdoms of this earth will submit themselves to the lordship of Jesus Christ one last verse of scripture because I think we need some help the church does I believe that we're feeling the winds but as far as the scripture teaches if you're in a right relationship with Jesus Christ you've been born again you've been born again what I mean by born again you have put your faith and believe in the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ you have repented of your sins you have asked God to forgive you and you have been according to the scripture water baptized in his name for the remission of your sins you've been filled with the Spirit of God you have developed a relationship with your expectant soon-coming Keith you are the bride he is the bridegroom the church we don't need to get stirred by science we need to be stirred for our Savior because he says in Revelation 16 and verse 15 behold I come as a thief blessed is he that watcheth and keepeth his garments lest he walk naked and they see his shame this verse brother Nolan carpenter is to the church to the church he comes as a thief how does a thief let me show you just a few characteristics of a thief a thief comes unannounced a thief does not send you a letter he does not give you a warning in your mailbox and says you may be burglarized a thief comes unannounced well you got to be on guard good locks on your door good security because you've got to always be on the watch for the thief we didn't always be on watch for the Savior that's coming we'd always be on watch I know a lot of folks are scared with covin 19 but my prayer is to the church is when koban 19 is coming going that the same desire you got for God will keep on going because it's not built on a side of tribulation but a relationship with the Savior what's some more things about a thief a thief comes down announce a thief comes quickly a thief is sin how quick he can get in and get out he comes quickly Jesus said in a moment in the twinkling of an eye and noticed this I'm my last point a thief doesn't take everything in the house just the valuables he's coming as a thief but he ain't taking everybody with thieves they'll break into your house they'll leave certain things they'll leave laundry baskets full of folded towels they'll leave dishes in the in the pantry they'll leave a lot of things but they're after that gold watch you got there after that gold ring you've got I'm gonna tell you he said I'm gonna come like a thief in the night I'm gonna come unannounced I'm gonna come quickly and I'm coming after my valuable I'm coming after those that love me I'm coming after those that know my name I'm coming after those that read my word I'm coming after those that have a relationship that's who I'm coming after you say well Bill Carter I'm a dirty sinner on this couch tonight I'm a backslider I'm a dirty sinner God love me oh I won't brother Troy after he come back those of you that are sitting on your couches in your living room if you're by someone right now that's under conviction begin to pray with them right now begin to lay your hands upon them and begin to pray with them right now let's see God did something on this Wednesday evening why I believe in the second return of Jesus Christ I see shadow you see home I see broken but you see beautiful Lord
