Summary
Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
Living faith and the one God
- James writes that faith without works is dead: a faith that only says 'I believe in God' but helps no one cannot save.
- The devils also believe there is one God, and they tremble; bare belief in one God is therefore not the faith that saves.
- The oneness of God is the most fundamental doctrine in the Bible, and the lesson takes up why the devils tremble at it.
Scriptures: James 2:14-20
Why the devils tremble: the judgment to come
- The saints will judge the world and will judge angels; beings who once stood where angels stood know that judgment is coming for them.
- The angels who kept not their first estate are reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day.
- The devil will be cast into the lake of fire where the beast and the false prophet are; the devils believe what is coming and tremble.
Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 6:1-3; Jude 1:6; Revelation 20:10
Fully God, yet fully man
- Jesus went down to Nazareth and was subject to his parents, and increased in wisdom and stature; God does not grow, so the humanity of Jesus was real.
- Jesus himself prayed that they be sanctified through the truth — thy word is truth — answering in his own prayer the question of who he was praying to.
- In the days of his flesh he offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears to him who was able to save him from death: the man Christ Jesus prayed to the eternal Spirit.
Scriptures: Luke 2:51-52; John 17:17; Hebrews 5:7
The baptism of Jesus: the fullness of the Godhead in him
- At the pastor's direction, sister Carpenter reads Colossians 2:8-9 aloud inside the lesson: beware lest any man spoil you, for in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
- At his baptism the heavens opened, the Spirit descended like a dove and lit on him, and a voice from heaven said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
- John bare record that he saw the Spirit descend and remain on him, and that this is the Son of God, who baptizes with the Holy Ghost.
Scriptures: Colossians 2:8-9; Matthew 3:16-17; Luke 3:21-22; John 1:30-34
The right hand of God is his power, not a second person
- 'Right hand' is a figurative term for God's power and authority: Rachel's son was called Benoni, son of my sorrow, but his father called him Benjamin, son of the right hand.
- Moses sang that the right hand of the Lord is glorious in power and dashed the enemy in pieces, and that the Lord is the shade upon your right hand.
- Jesus cast out devils by the finger of God; the finger and the hand are the same power of God at work, not another person.
- The Son of man sits on the right hand of the power of God because all of God's power and authority was given to the son of man, Jesus Christ.
- Stephen, full of the Holy Ghost, saw the Son of man standing on the right hand of God, and kneeled and called on God, saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
- There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
Scriptures: Genesis 35:18; Exodus 15:6; Exodus 15:12; Psalm 121:5; Exodus 15:8; Luke 11:20; Mark 16:19; Luke 22:69; Acts 2:33; Acts 7:54-59; 1 Timothy 2:3-5
One throne in the Revelation
- The revelation of Jesus Christ opens the book, and the four and twenty elders fall before one throne: thou art worthy, O Lord, for thou hast created all things.
- No man in heaven, earth, or under the earth was able to open the book, but the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Lamb that was slain, prevailed, and heaven sings that he has redeemed us to God by his blood.
- He is the head of the body, the church, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence.
- The great multitude cries with a loud voice, Salvation to our God which sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
- John saw no temple in the city to come, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it; the river of life proceeds out of the throne of God and of the Lamb, and his servants shall see his face and his name shall be in their foreheads.
Scriptures: Revelation 1:1; Revelation 4:11; Revelation 5:1-13; Colossians 1:18; Revelation 7:10; Revelation 21:22; Revelation 22:1; Revelation 22:3-4
A note on the capture
- The banked capture ends mid-sentence inside the pastor's closing dismissal ('...be friendly, you're just—'); the lesson itself is complete through its final text, closing song, and closing prayer.

you Lord I praise you God I praise you uh let's Dive Right into why we believe what we believe why we believe what we believe let's go to the Book of James tonight for our text the Book of James chapter 2 and verse number 14 James chapter 2 and 14 and scripture will be on the screen or you can find this in your Bible believe it or not amen it's in your Bible either on the screen or it's in your Bible tonight and boy I wish I could mute don't don't do it right now because but if I can mute um everybody everybody know everybody know what a bany rooster is little Cocky Rooster you know that goes around I wish you could have been with me the other night when we was in a past pastor's discussion about midweek service and they were discussing what we going to do about midweek service it's an empty place on midweek and I thought come on down to my end of the table buddy come on down come on down come on down because this beny rooster is about to strut here in just a minute all right and uh well I thank you all for coming out on midweek service and somebody said people go to church on Sunday morning because they they love their Church somebody said people go back on Sunday night because well they love their pastor but then I heard somebody say they go to church on Wednesday night because they love the Lord and I think there's a lot of people that love the Lord amen oh come on James 2:14 I love the word of God James said what doth it profit my brethren though a man say he hath faith and hath not works can Faith save him if a brother or sister be naked and destitute of daily food and one of you say say unto them depart in peace be ye warmed and filled notwithstanding you give them not those things which are needful to the body what doth it profit even so faith if it hath not works is dead being alone yay a man may say a man may say thou H has faith and I have Works show me thy faith without thy works and I will show thee my faith by my works and I read all that to get to verse 19 thou believest that there is one God how many believe that tonight thou believest th that there is one God thou doest well the Devils also Al believe and tremble but wilt thou know oh vain man that faith without works is dead why we believe what we believe please tonight we're going to pray and remember brother Erikson he is in Lowden County tonight all of a lot of our missionaries and future missionaries have come in they they they've got a u a bed and breakfast there and uh using three or four days of training for Missions and uh I believe tonight brother Ericson is delivering the word this evening at missions University there and so you you pray for them uh also sister elder sister Johnstone had back surgery and uh let's remember her let's remember her in prayer that God will touch her would you join me one more time in prayer tonight precious lamb of God we thank you for your love and mercy God I thank you for the kiss of your presence that we felt during the song service thank you God for the wonderful presence of Victory and faith I feel in this house tonight I pray that you would anoint my lips of clay God as I Minister your word tonight anoint me tonight father in Jesus name we pray God touch these souls in Jesus name we pray amen amen you may be seated tonight um James writes and he writes about faith and you have to understand there are two types of Faith there is a living faith there is a living active faith that you hear about God and you apply and live by what you hear by God that's called that's called a living that's called a living faith a person hears about repentance it's dead Faith until they repent it's dead faith until they get to an altar and they repent people can hear about water baptism in Jesus name it is dead until they walk into the baptistry and they are baptized so there are there are there are two different there are two different kinds there are two different kinds of Faith a living faith and a dead Faith a dead Faith just knows something about the Bible but they do nothing about it a living faith a living faith hears about the word of God hears about the word of God and there's action behind there's action behind what they hear and Paul or excuse me James uses the devil for a good example of this because there was a group of people that were just boasting they had Faith but they didn't have any Works to go behind it they didn't have any actions to go behind it now I understand tonight that there would appear to be a contradiction in the Bible because Paul said Paul says we are not saved by works James says faith without works is dead is there a contradiction absolutely not there simply needs to be an explanation what Paul is writing about is the works of the law The Works of the law what James is talking about is the work that we do in receiving the word of God by faith can I tell you tonight repentance is not a work being obedient to water baptism is not a work praying and seeking after God tithing coming to church living for God is not a work it's not an Old Testament law work it is a new testament respons response to the preaching of the word of God James uses this he uses a little example he said if you come up somebody that's hungry and they they need a coat and all you do is say to them s a y you say to them well be filled and be warmed he says have you profited them absolutely not you've done you've done nothing for them except say words and then he goes down and he says I know that you believe that there is one God yeah I I know that you're is a matter of fact one of the first verses of scripture a Jewish child would learn would be what here o Israel the Lord our God is one that was one of the first scriptures and and I've got a little tradition that I do and I'll hold a little newborn in my hand and I'll say instead of saying here oh Israel I'll call the child's name name and I want that to be the first scripture that they they hear so James knew who he was talking to he said thou you believe in one God well thou doest well but then he balances it out and he says for the devil believes in one God and then he puts something on them and the devil has a reaction he said you believe in one God and do nothing about it he said but at least the devil believes in one God believes in one God and he trembles well let me ask you tonight could we just kind of deviate we're going to get we're going to get back into the right hand of God we're going to get back into the Dual nature in just a moment but could I tell you why Devils tremble at the fact that there's one God oh he's that's because he's powerful well that is true God is powerful but that's not why the Devils tremble do you know why the devils tremble that there's one God is because of Judgment at any time unknown to the devil the devil's every rebellious spirit that left Heaven is going to be judged by God Devils know Devils know there is a judgment day coming that's why the Devils tremble well
let's go to the Bible and let's find this in the Bible and 1 Corinthians chapter number 6 and verse number one Paul is dealing with the the Apostolic Church there in in Corinth and um they were they were taking brother uh brother was taking brother before the unjust uh before the the the courts of the land and they were having small matters of disagreement nothing criminal things criminal need to be taken to the proper authorities immediately they were but this was this little squabble somebody had bar borrowed a hammer and not brought it back and somebody borrowed some money and not brought it back and all of that that such and they were going before they were going before the court and Paul said in verse number one he said dare any of you having a matter against another go to the law before the unjust and not before the Saints he says you you're you're taking this out into the world and you should be finding the answer in the church before the Saints verse two do you not know that the Saints shall judge the world and if the world shall be judged by you are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters know you not that we shall look at verse three we shall judge Angels how much more things that pertain to this life in other words there's going to be a time when God is going to allow us to set in on Judgment of the Fallen Angels good angels are not going to be judged it's the fallen angels that will be judged and somehow I don't have all please don't come to me tonight and ask me for all the uh specifics because I don't have them I just have this one verse that says that we the church are going to set in and participate in the Judgment of these angels let's find a little bit more a little bit more in Jude chapter 1 of course Jude just has one chapter in Jude chapter 1 and verse number six look at this and the angels which kept not their first estate that meant Lucifer got out of his place as a worshiper and a praiser he got out of his place and tried to ur Authority and be like God and he led he led another host of angels with him in this this act of rebellion and the angels which kept not their first estate but left their own habitation he hath reserved in Everlasting chains under Darkness unto the Judgment of the great day in other words Angels realize or these Fallen demons realize there's a judgment day coming that's the part that they tremble about it's not that God is powerful and God can shut them up it's that demons know at any time they're going to be called in on that great day of judgment and to give an account and that's why they tremble well the final verse on this would be found in Revelation chapter 20 and verse number 10 and it simply says and the devil that deceived them was cast into the Lake of Fire in Brimstone where the Beast and the false prophet are and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever the Devils have faith the Devils believe there's one God and they even have a sign an outward sign they have an outward sign that they believe in one God they tremble and they tremble because of judgments coming now I could stop right here this not on my notes tonight this just came to me it's sad when Devils can tremble about judgment and we humans live like they will not be a judgment there's going to be there's going to be a judgment day now I I I understand today that the world the world the world the world wants a relevant something they you know I want to go to church on Wednesday night to hear something relevant that I can apply you know there's no more relevant for you to understand that the Bible said every Idol word we speak will be brought into judgment we ought to live as children of God we ought to live our lives questioning does this please the Lord that's all you got that's the holy standard you need to set by all right don't set any other standard than this right here does this please the Lord and I promise you if you have a standard does this please the lord it's okay with me amen it it's okay with me does this please the Lord I I'll tell you we would talk different if we' asked God God God you okay with this God Is This I Promise You the Holy Ghost if it's active in your life the Holy Ghost is not it's not a mute Holy Ghost it'll speak to you the Holy Ghost it'll speak to you and if angels know if Fallen Angels know they're going to be judged and they have an outward manifestation of that Faith they tremble we humans ought to have an outward manifestation not to tremble but simply simply to do right amen devils are not all in control they're going to be cast they're going to be cast into the Lake of Fire now last week we dealt we we dealt a great deal with the Dual nature of Jesus Christ as fully God and fully man that Jesus was 100% human in the fact that he was conceived in the womb of a woman he's 100% he was 100% human as a matter of fact go with me to Luke Chapter 2 and verse number 51 Luke Chapter 2 and verse number 51 to show you that that that Jesus was was was fully human here he is at 12 years old in Luke 2:51 and he went down with them and came to Nazareth Jesus went down with his parents came to Nazareth and was subject unto them can I tell you tonight I wish I wish the kids were back in here Jesus was subject to his parents well they're not in here you tell them I said that tonight all right you know ww JD what would Jesus do Jesus would obey his parents that's the truth he was subject unto them but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart and that's where they got in the conversation that he was about his father's business now watch verse 52 fully human Jesus increased in wisdom he increased in wisdom he increased in stature all right he grew up just like uh that uh I think it was the um Jensen Arnon uh he came around the corner the other day it's like whoa is that a new little boy that I've not met here yet is he a new uh uh child I've not met and and and I said Jensen dude you're getting so tall and uh and it's kind of like you know it's kind of like I look down at his pants and his his pants were just about at his ankle I said man look at that for too long you ain't going to be able to wear those pants right there look look look at that well do you know that Jesus grew the same way he grew the same way one day they saw him and the next day they saw him and he's growing up he grew in um he grew in wisdom he grew in stature and in favor with look at this in favor with God and man he was fully human he hungered he got thirsty he wept he had all all of the needs humanly he had all the needs humanly then we had so question number one who was Jesus praying to are you ready for this deep answer God God so the next time somebody asked you when they're trying to prove plurality of the godhead and let me just say this they that worship the father this is Bible they that worship the father m s must all right not optional must not optional must worship the father in spirit that doesn't in spirit might have to do with how loud you sing how high you jump it might have to do with how long you keep your hands up and worship all right but you got to have something else in spirit and in somebody sit with me and in truth what is truth Jesus answers that in John 17 Thy word oh God is truth so if you're really going to worship the father you've got to get your nose and heart in the book and you've got to find out what the Bible has to say about God because if you're going to worship God the only way is acceptable is to worship Him in spirit and in truth who was Jesus praying to the obvious is God it was the human it was the humanity of Jesus Christ that was praying to the deity he was praying to God join me in Hebrews chapter 5 verse 7 Hebrews chapter 5 Hebrews chapter 5 and verse 7 talks about the day of Jesus Christ when he was on this Earth in his ministry Hebrews 7 he Hebrews excuse me 5 and 7 was written after Christ had all already ascended into heaven as our mediator and Paul and I do believe that Paul is the author of the book of Hebrews there's a lot of debate about whether Paul uh wrote the book of Hebrews or not of which it's not I don't believe it's a heaven or hell I wouldn't I wouldn't get into any deep discussion with anybody on whether Paul wrote Hebrews because I just believe that you've got the right to be wrong I believe that Paul wrote um the book of Hebrews amen uh one one precious lady thought she got the Revelation that her husband was to make the coffee and she said I got it because the Bible said Hebrews well I think that's a stretch I think that's a stretch it's a good idea for the man to make his wife a cup of coffee I I'll tell you get you a lot of uh a kiss of the morning get the day started off right going to get it kind of get make a deposit in that love bank for all those dumb things we're going to do throughout throughout today amen Hebrews chapter 5 boy I'm so glad to be home Hebrews chapter 5 and verse 7 talking about the the life the ministry of Jesus who in the days of his what in the days of what his flesh when he when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death and was heard in that he feared who was Jesus praying to God it was the humanity praying to deity all right now let's go to another passage of scripture where people want to try to prove a plurality of persons of the godhead the Bible never speaks of a plurality of persons in the godhead head anytime the Bible speaks it only talks about one person it only talks about one person in the godhead all right and actually that's not even a correct way for me to say that Jesus was not in the godhead all right but the godhead was in him he was according to scripture and sister car refine that scripture for me and interrupt me at any time that he was the fullness of the god he was the fullness of the godhead bodily and if you'll find find that scripture find that scripture for me and interrupt me interrupt me at any is there a microphone on your Pew there if so reach over interrupt me at any time and and read read that scripture I believe I believe it's either Colossians 1 18 or Colossians 2:8 um but interrupt the baptism of Jesus let's go the baptism of Jesus Matthew chapter 3 and verse 16 follow this closely and Jesus when he was baptized now why would he need to be baptized the answer he was flesh he was flesh God doesn't need to be baptized God doesn't need to be baptized
go ahead sister Carpenter well we'll start at Colossians 2:8 beware lest any man spool you through vain philosophy now now the word spoil there EXC me through philosophy and vain deceit the word philosophy there the excuse me the word spoil there don't think of food in the in the in the refrigerator or food when when we here in North America hear the word spoil we think of some kind of meat that's went bad in the Bible when they use the word spoil it was like stealing something from you they they spoiled you they they took something so so read that again and and uh if you need to turn that female's voice up a little bit go ahead and do that beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit after the tradition of men after the rudiments of the world and not after Christ for in him in who him who's the him Jesus Christ dwelleth all the fullness of the godhead how much of the fullness all do you know the Greek word of all means all fullness of the godhead bodily fullness of the godhead bodily thank you thank you so when you have people trying to prove pluralities of persons the only two-legged two armed person in the godhead is Jesus Christ now let's go to his baptism again Matthew 3 and16 and Jesus when when he was baptized and I've made the comment he was baptized because he was flesh matter of fact when Jesus came to John and walked down in the water where John was at John was overcome and John said uh I have need to be baptized of you and he said John suffer it allow it permit it that we may fulfill righteousness what was he saying John it is the will of God for All Flesh to be baptized and I am going to be baptized not because I have repented sin but I'm going to be baptized because I am flesh let's start again at verse 16 and Jesus when he was baptized went up straight way out of the water and lo the heavens were opened unto him that's very important who was the heavens open to him now you realize Matthew is writing this event and the heavens were open unto him speaking of Jesus and he who's the he there Jesus saw the spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting upon him and low a voice from Heaven saying this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased there are those that go to the extent to prove a plurality to godhead to say right there is three three persons the only person we have here is Jesus we have the Holy Ghost as or like a dove that's not a person and we have a voice from Heaven yeah but brother car if there's a voice there's got to be a person that's only if you're speaking humanly when God speaks he doesn't need vocal cords doesn't need lips when God speaks he's God so you don't have a plurality of persons here you have the person of Jesus Christ you have the spirit like a dove and you have a voice let's go let's look at this and from Luke's angle let's look at it from Luke's angle Luke 3: 21 Luke 3 and 21 now now when all the people were baptized came to pass that Jesus also being baptized and praying the heaven was opened and the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him and a voice from Heaven which said Thou Art my beloved Son in thee am I well pleased now Luke puts a bodily form puts a bodily form but no person no person no arm arms legs no person let's go to John I think we're going to find some real good meaning in John John 1:30 if you're there say Amen if you're there say Amen John 1:30 listen to John this is he of whom I said and he's talking about Jesus now this is he of whom I said after me cometh a man which is preferred before me for he was before me now that one verse there John tells you that Jesus is God because John is older than Jesus but John says he is preferred before because he was before me verse 31 and I knew him not I didn't know him John says but that he should be be made manifest to Israel therefore am I come baptizing in with water now follow this real closly John bear record saying I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove and it Abode upon him and I knew him not I knew him not but he that sent me to baptize with water the same said unto me upon whom Thou shalt see the spirit descending and remaining on him the same is he which baptize baptizeth with the Holy Ghost and I saw and I bear record that this is the Son of God John heard God in his heart John was told by God God to go preach repentance that Messiah was close at hand that he was to preach repentance and he was to tell the people that as a sign of their repentance that they would be baptized and immersed in water that's why a man whose name was simply John was later called John the Baptist don't think of the denomination think of he baptized so much that they called him John the Baptist or the baptizer now when the spirit spoke to John and told John I want you to preach that the Messiah is close at hand and I want you to preach repentance from sin the acts is laid at the root of the tree I want you to preach that when they repent that they are to have a visible sign of coming to the water and being baptized but then he said there's coming one after me after me who shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire there's coming one John records that the spirit told him you're going to baptize one and the one that you baptize that you see the spirit descending and staying upon it is he that shall baptize with the Holy Ghost so I submit to you tonight that that whole scen at baptism the spirit coming down like a dove and the voice from Heaven certainly was not for Jesus sake I've heard erroneous teaching that at Jesus baptism he became God foolishness he didn't become God at the baptism he became God in the womb he was God and he entered into the womb of Mary and conceived there and the son of the Living God it was not for Jesus it was for John the Baptist this is he that shall baptize with the Holy Ghost and with fire that's why he preached sister Carpenter the message he must increase but I must decrease when he saw the Spirit come and light upon him he said this is the one I believe that's a good explanation a Biblical explanation of these scriptures now let's deal we've dealt with the baptism of Jesus we've dealt with who Jesus was praying to now let's deal with the right hand of God let's deal with that now in order to deal with the right hand of God we use a simple method that's uh among many Bible scholars it is called the law of first mention all right you find where something a subject a phrase is first mentioned in the Bible you find that phrase in the Bible and then you from the first the law of first mention you now begin to Come Through the Bible with the law of first mention where is right hand first mentioned in the Bible
it is in Genesis chapter 35 and verse number 18 Rachel has given birth and as she is giving birth as she is giving birth the Bible says she died she died but before she died she named the boy the son that she gave birth to verse 18 and it came to pass that as her soul was in departing for she died that she called the name benon I benoni she called his name benoni but his father called him Benjamin now benoni in the scripture in the Greek in the Hebrew excuse me in the Hebrew the word benon means he's the son of my sorrow he's the son of my sorrow sorrow but evidently Jacob wasn't going to stand for that Jacob renamed him so oh no he's not going to go through life being referred to as the son of Sorrow I call him Benjamin which Benjamin means the son of my right hand the son of prosperity the son of of Good Good Fortune he is the son of my right hand now no one in that day when they heard the name Benjamin son of my right hand looked at the physical side the physical right side of Jacob they understood the term right hand meant a place of power a place of honor and a place of acceptance this is my son of my right hand it is called symbolic language it denotes power honor and acceptance for example there's examples of symbolic language throughout the Bible look with me in Exodus chapter 15 Exodus chapter 15 and verse number six I believe it is Exodus 15 and verse number 6 they're talking about the great victory of deliverance from Egypt they're talking about the great Victory from being delivered from pharaoh and here's how they say it thy right hand O Lord is become great glorious in ba in power thy right hand oh Lord hath dashed in pieces the enemy now uh just just understand this with me tonight you cannot take s symbolic language and make it literal you can't take it and make it literal if you're going to use right hand is literal oh it's talking about the right hand opposite of the left opposite of the left it's the right hand yeah that that's the Bible says that Jesus is Seated on the right hand of course that creates its own different uh need for explanation on the right hand I know it says at the right hand but that Bible says on the right hand so but but anyway let's just go forward you can't take it that would mean what Moses was writing about he saw God's right hand come out of heaven and begin to dash the enemies I mean like a big boxing glove God's right hand appeared out of the sky and start beating up the Egyptians don't mean that means God's power God's power did this God's power dashed the enemies in pieces it's symbolic language Exodus chapter 15 verse 12 he says again thou stretches out thy right hand the Earth swallowed them again again it's symbolic language it's not literal it's not god pushing his right hand through the sky Psalms 21 and5 Psalms 21 and5 simply says the Lord is thy keeper the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand The Lord Is Thy shade upon thy right hand does that mean he's not the shade upon my left hand the Lord is the shade on my right hand shade is a place of being under a tree a place of a place of shelter doesn't mean literally he's not the shade of my right hand and my left hand is unprotected foolishness he is the shade of my power he is the shade and the protection that we all need again I go back to Exodus I go back to Exodus chapter 15 it's a great symbolic chapter Exodus chapter 15:8 Exodus chapter 15:8 it's describing it's describing how they went through the Red Sea how the Red Sea was parted and it says and with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together the floods stood upright as a heap and the depths were congealed in the heart of the Earth the blast of thy nostrils come on it's symbolic language Church God's nose didn't poke down through the clouds and snort and divide the Red Sea it's just using human terms to tell you it was just the blast of God's nostrils that divided the Red Sea all it had to happen when it come to God at the Red Sea he just had to sneeze that's all that happened at the Red Sea what a great God we serve tonight symbolic symbolic Luke 11 and 20 look at this this is Jesus speaking Luke 11 and 20 listen to him Luke 11:20 but if I with the Finger of God cast out Devils no doubt the kingdom of God Has Come unto you now how many knows that symbolic I with the Finger of God that didn't mean when Jesus got ready to cast out Devils he reached around in his back back he had a pouch he had a pouch hanging on his belt that had the Finger of God and he got the Finger of God and started casting out Devils no it's symbolic power just like God sneezed and the Red Sea was divided the Devils appearing to be so powerful were cast out not even with the fist of God all it took was the finger of God and devils devils were passed out now let's go to the right hand let's go to the right hand when it's using this Mark chapter 16 verse number 19 Mark 16 and verse 19 so then after the Lord had spoken unto them he was received up into heaven and sat on the right hand of God sat upon the right hand and it's here that people want to say the right hand Jesus is at the right hand of his father but cly can't you count that's two oh I agree with you that's two but not two persons it's humanity and deity what about the humanity what is the humanity while he lived on this Earth the humanity was for our Salvation to purchase our Salvation on the cross well what's the humanity doing in heaven I thought I'm glad you finally asked tonight he is now our mediator there's no way to the father but by him and right now he's acting as our mediator he is our goet he is our he is our mediator tonight and Jesus Christ is seated at a place of honor and Authority with allmighty God the right hand of God Luke 2269 Luke 2269 Jesus said Hereafter shall the son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God Luke brings it into light where is he at as a mediator he's at the place of acceptance and honor of the power of God Peter preaching in Acts chapter 2 Acts chapter 2 in verse number 33 Peter was preaching he said therefore by the right hand of God Jesus was by the right hand of God exalted and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost he has shed forth this which you now see and hear what brought Jesus out of the Grave the power of God what resurrected a dead man the power of God now later on in Acts Acts chapter 7 one of the first deacons had been uh I could say arrested by a religious group and they brought him out he step started preaching to them and they got mad at him and they started stoning him and in Acts 7: 54 the Bible said when they heard these things they were cut to the heart and they nashed on him with their teeth they got real mad but he being full of the Holy Ghost stepen being full of the Holy Ghost looked up steadfastly into heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing on the right hand of God and said now here's what Steven said behold I see the heavens open and the son of man notice how you he doesn't say son of God son of man because he is our mediator the son of man standing on the right hand of God then they cried boy they didn't want to hear that for sure then they cried out with a loud voice stopped their ears ran upon him with one Accord follow this cast him out of the city stoned him and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet whose name was Saul follow this and they stoned Stephen calling upon God who's he calling on saying Lord Jesus receive my spirit he was calling on God deity but no way to the father except through him so he was calling upon God saying Lord Jesus receive my spirit Now 1 Timothy 1 Timothy 2 and3 and I know the hour is getting a little late and I'm going to I'm going to go through these verses and leave you something to study uh for the rest of the week 1 Timothy 2 and 3 somebody say Amen somebody say it louder somebody say we're about ready to leave come on now 1 Timothy 2 and 3 for this is good and it acceptable in the sight of God our savior who will have all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth read it with me read verse five with me for there is and one between God and Men the man Christ Jesus there's one God and one media can't you count brother carpent I sure can but I don't come up with two persons I come up with God who became man for the purpose of being our savior and the purpose of being our mediator only one now go ahead give him a hand clap of offering right now now I I I love prophecy I love prophecy I love the Book of Revelation I love all the things that are said in the Book of Revelation but I believe so many people have misunderstood Revelation and they think Revelation is only a book about prophecy about end of time about Antichrist about you you know all the Beast coming out of the sea and all that can I tell you you could not be more wrong The Book of Revelation is not holy about prophecy and I'll prove that if you will
turn in your Bible to Revelation chapter 1 and verse number one shouldn't the brother Patterson shouldn't the first verse tell us what it's all about I would think so Revelation 1 and one what does it say the revelation of the revealing of Jesus Christ you can't go to a better book in the Bible than to find the Oneness of the godhead but the Book of Revelation can I show it to you Revelation 4:1 the 4 and 20 Elders fall down before him that sat on the throne which worshiped him that liveth forever and never cast their crowns Before the Throne saying Thou Art Worthy oh Lord to receive glory and honor and power for thou H has created all things and for thy pleasure they are and were created chapter four there's one on the throne that they worship as their creator but in chapter in chapter five it's an interesting chapter chapter 5 verse one I saw in the right hand here we go again I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the thr Throne a book written within and on the backside sealed with Seven Seals I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice who is worthy to open the book what's in the right hand and loose the Seven Seals thereof no man there's a book in the right hand of the one on the throne and they asking who is worthy verse three no man in Heaven Nor in Earth nor under the Earth was able to open the book neither to look there on I wept much because no man was found worthy to open the book and to read the book neither to look thereon one of the elders saith unto me weep not Behold The Lion of the tribe of Judah the root of David had prevailed to open the book and to loose the Seven Seals John don't cry there's the root of David and John verse 6 and I beheld and lo in the midst of the throne and of the four beast in the midst of the elders stood a lamb as it had been slain having seven horns and seven eyes which are the seven spirits of God sent forth un all the Earth he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne and when he had taken the book The Four beast and four four and 20 Elders fell down before the lamb having every one of them Harps and golden vials full of odors which are the prayers of the Saints they sung a new song saying Thou Art Worthy to take the book to open the seals thereof for thou was slain and Hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every Kindred tongue people and Nation well that that you you were slain and you've redeemed us verse 10 and hath made us unto our God Kings and Priests and we shall reign on the earth and I beheld and heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the Beast and the elders and the number of them was 10,000 times 10,000 thousands of thousands saying with a loud voice Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power riches wisdom strength honor and glory and blessing every creature which is in heaven and on Earth under the Earth and such as be in the sea and all that are in them heard I saying blessing honor glory power be unto him that sth be unto him now they're going back to the Creator they're going back to the Creator be unto him that set up on the throne and unto the lamb forever and ever you don't have one people worshiping two Gods you You' got one people worshiping a God who was first chapter four a Creator and in chapter five he is their redeemer oh glory be to his name ah Lord have mercy Lord have mercy listen let me tell you this don't ever let somebody take you to the fifth chapter of Revelation and try to show you don't you see here there's one on the throne God the father's on the throne and God the son comes up and takes the book look stop them right there and say are you telling me that God the son looks like a lamb that has been slaughtered and he's got seven horns sticking out of his head and he's got seven eyes and are you telling me that God doesn't have one Spirit he's got seven spirits don't ever let him do that that's not literal that is a symbolic play of the drama of redemption God just simply said let me show you the drama of redemption the lamb that was slain the Bible calls Jesus Christ what does the bible call him brother white the Lamb of who the Lamb of who whose lamb is he he's God's lamb and he shows you the Redemption I was Creator but I had a plan before creation and that that plan was this book and no man Abraham Noah Isaiah no man was found worthy to open the book but God became a man and God was the worthy one that could open that book and the loose god listen the second person of the godhead doesn't have seven eyes and seven horns don't ever let anybody take you and show you that oh friend I don't care how old I get and I don't care how passionate I get but if you're listening to me tonight and your church has grown to where they get bored at the godhead you need a Revival you need a Revival because what good is it to be relevant if you're not relevant in what it really takes to have a church that can worship God in spirit and in truth well brother car I Dr Dr bottle stoer got on a radio and television said he died went to heaven saw three Thrones I don't care what he saw in heaven I don't put my trust in what man says right now I put my trust in this right here and if the Bible says there three Thrones there's three Thrones but I I I got to tell you Revelation chapter 7 verse number 10 Revelation 1 and one verse four word first few words say it's the revelation of Jesus Christ Revelation 7:10 the Bible said and cried with a loud voice saying salvation to our god which sth upon the throne and unto the lamb Revelation 21:22 John said it's not Dr bottle stopper this is John the Revelator and I saw no temple in heaven I didn't see a building in heaven I didn't see a I didn't see a meet I didn't see a meeting place in heaven I saw no temple in heaven for the Lord God Almighty there's one and the lamb are the temple not temples plural but Temple how in the world can the Lord God Almighty and the lamb be a singular Temple when God became a man Jesus said destroy this Temple and in three days I will raise it up again it wasn't the humanity that raised him up he didn't raise you saying he raised his own self up no not the human part raised up the human part died it was the god part in him that raised him back up and when we get to heaven we're not going to have a big building to meet in there is one Temple that we're going to gather around and it is the temple of God it houses God and the lamb give him a hand of Praise right now would you please oh stand with me right now aren't you glad you know who Jesus is aren't you glad you know who Jesus is aren't you glad you know who Jesus is tonight Revelation 221 revelation 22 chapter one verse one he showed me come on I don't care what Dr bottle stopper says tell me about it John and he showed me a pure River of of Water of Life clear as Crystal proceeding out of the Throne of God and of the Lamb one Throne not Thrones plural one Throne that has both God and the lamb Revelation 22:3 and there shall be no more curse but the throne singular of God and the lamb shall be in it and his servants everybody say that's us shall serve him not them the throne of God and the lamb are not two but there one God manifested In the Flesh and my last verse of scripture did you say Glory Els is that like praising God or you glad it's the last verse I'm saying here come on brother SoDo how do you say that in Spanish spish yeah let's read verse three again and there shall be no more curse but the Throne of God and the lamb shall be in it and his servant Shall Serve him now this Throne of God and the lamb and they that's us shall see his his face not their face and his H his name father's not a name son is not a name Holy Ghost is not a name Jesus is that
