His subject is taken from the reading itself: the night's coming.
- **The open door** It is day, he proclaims, and in Revelation the church of Philadelphia is set before an open door no man can close; we are the Philadelphian church, and when he closes it, no man can open it. The King is in the place, the glory of God and the Holy Spirit are in the place, and the house is called to put its hands together and raise its voice to him.
- **The waves of revival, and the remnant** Some have already received by mail the book God impressed him to write for the ministry — the irresistible wave of revival, revelation, and revolution. Eighteen hours into the conference, after four messages, the word is urgency: never again church as usual, never again a general conference as usual; patty-caking days are over, sermon-editing and homiletics are over. The first wave broke in the apostolic century, when half the known world embraced the doctrine and the blood of the martyrs became the seed of the church; then compromise, and the long darkness with its glimmers of light. The second wave rose at the opening of the twentieth century — Topeka, Houston, Azusa Street, the Holy Spirit falling in a humble stable on the offscouring and the rejects — and God's perfect will was that the revelation of who he was and baptism in his name should have accompanied it: in 1912, 1913, and 1914 the first general superintendent of the Assemblies of God was baptized in Jesus name and in turn baptized the man who became this movement's first general superintendent. Then came rejection and fear — they stood where Israel stood, looking over into the promised land — but not all was lost: a remnant was preserved, a people who have not denied the name and never bowed the knee to tradition, preserved for this moment, for the manifestation of the works of God. We must work the works of him that sent us while it is yet day.
- **The word on the plane: walk through the door** Jesus spoke it to him on the plane from St. Louis to Memphis and again from Memphis to Alexandria: the night is coming — tell the people; I have given them an open door, I have given them revival; this is the moment of revelation, and they have got to walk through that door. Against the spirit of the status quo — to be normal is not all right, to be average is not good enough — he wants preachers more concerned about propagating the gospel than about their own image. The pattern is Samaria: Jesus said he must needs go through Samaria, told his disciples he had meat to eat that they knew not of, and warned them not to say there are yet four months and then cometh the harvest. Step up to the plate and be counted; if you have to become a fanatic, become a fanatic; we better walk through that door. And the reaching runs outward as well: take a hungry preacher of another movement to a restaurant, sit across from him with your Bible open, and do not worry who sees you — not joining, not allying, but following the gift and the revelation; the third wave is upon us, and no organization, system, or man can stop what God is ready to do.
- **The manifestation of the works of God** The second thing God spoke on the plane: it is his moment in time to manifest himself in this great and profound truth of who he is — in the gift of miracles and the supernatural. We are going to see the dead raised, and the first act of it needs to start right in this church, raising the dead who are already here. The method is obedience: when he says drop the nets, drop the nets — he can send the school of fish; whatsoever he saith unto you, do it — fill the pots with water and leave the miracle to him; roll the stone away, by this time he stinketh, but do what he says: he is the resurrection and the life.
- **The restrainer, the rapture, and the ripe harvest** That door is going to close. He had been reading the Thessalonian letter: a false report, spread by speech and by letter, that the day of the Lord had already come — but that day cannot come until first he who letteth is removed; when the Spirit is taken out of the way, then shall the man of sin be revealed, and great tribulation come upon the world. The rapture is not the second advent: he is not looking for Christ's return with his church to rule the earth, but for the calling-out of the church home. And as long as this church is in the world, it holds back the spirit of antichrist. Every farmer knows the year: the seed planted, rain and more rain and dark days, a little intermittent sunshine, then the golden grain — and you better harvest it within a brief period or you will lose it. Say not there are four months and then cometh the harvest; lift up your eyes — the grain is ripe, and the night is coming, so get the combines in before the door is shut.
- **Consecration, and the goals of the year** Leaving tomorrow, he turns the house on itself before he goes: every preacher, every preacher's wife, every saint and church leader is to turn around, find the next person, look them in the eye, and pray — for new vision, for courage to walk out of this conference never the same, joining the worldwide Monday-night prayer — until he declares over the room that this is a new day. Then the close, and it is all goals for the year of the sermon: a thousand churches to be planted in the year 2003 — he checked with the home-missions director again at the board meeting the week before; no organization on record, Baptist or Assemblies of God or any other, has ever planted a thousand churches in one year, but this church is on course with destiny, and every pastor who believes in tithing should believe in planting a church this year. A day is looked for when a thousand missionaries a year go out into the world. The general board has unanimously passed the Apostolic Youth Corps, where young people can give one to two years before marriage or debt to the work of the kingdom; he will not be happy until at least a thousand young people a year are licensed to preach — he was licensed himself at seventeen, and that electrifying feeling has to come back to every teenager in the church. Ten thousand ladies a year are to teach at least one Bible study every week; a hundred thousand children are to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost in 2003. Parents are appealed to over the rebuff: let your son or daughter consider the call of Jesus first. And on February the seventeenth, a Monday evening, prayer meetings in every congregation around the world are to pray the Lord of the harvest to send forth labourers into his harvest field. He ends by calling the house to lift its hands and worship God.

man I will I promise you I will not keep you long but I do have a word from the Lord and I want to give honor to every man on this platform the men that I work with brother Williams brother Keys my assistant general superintendent's brother Barnes who's been a Elder in my life and brother Tenny my colleague in the gospel and friend for many years the Mangin both the whole Mangan Clan I love them they they're they're an inspiration just to watch Mak an observation folks it'll set your soul on fire and I'm trying to learn that little trick he's got there but it's it's a secret it's probably patented there's a man that's been a mentor in my life JT pew and I give honor to our division heads that are here today and well I may be able to talk about this flying here I I felt like I had a message for because of the times until I got on the plane and God began to speak to my heart and it's just a word but it it may help us I thought it was going to get away from me here earlier today but if it got away way it would be fine I've learned a long time ago I don't even have to preach I I was getting blessed taking the offering because it all that matters is to be in the will of God that's all that counts and that's really just if I can just be used of God anywhere anytime that's what counts if you would like to turn to the nth chapter of the Gospel of John I want to read beginning with verse one and as Jesus Jus passed by he saw a man which was blind from his birth and his disciples asked him saying master who did Sin this man or his parents that he was born blind Jesus answered neither hath this man sinned nor his parents but that the works of God should be made manifest in him yes it's the manifestation uhuh of the works of God uhuh now I must work the works of him that sent me while it is yet day for the night cometh that's right the night cometh night cometh I can hear you say it when no man can work as long as I am in the world I am the light of the world uhhuh my subject is just the night's coming wow that's what God told me to say it is day and and and in Revelation to the Church of Philadelphia yes I have set before thee uhhuh an open door open door we are the Philadelphian Church no man can close but when I close it no man can open it Hallelujah I tell you the king is in this place the glory of God is in this place the holy spirit is in this place I want you to put your hands together and raise your voice and let him know One More Time One More Time One More Time One More Time woo Hallelujah you may be seated some of you have received by mail the book that God has impressed upon me to write for the United Pentecostal Church Ministry and if you haven't you will it's in the mail already it's been there a couple weeks but the name of the book is the irresistible
wave of Revival Revelation and Revolution God is making a request of his church today there is a greater responsibility resting upon the shoulders of this church I mean we've been in because of the times about 18 hours and we've heard four messages from our brother Mangan to our brother lonus to sister Mangan to brother Mark Morgan and we've heard thus saith the Lord God is speaking to his church and I sense that he's saying it's urgent you heard me at General Conference and I've been say we will never again have church as usual and God forbid that we ever again have a general conference as usual it's an urgent hour we're here to do business for the King right Patty caking for Jesus Days Are Over sermon edting is over sermonizing is over homiletics is over right I was a Bible College president but now it's a day we need messages from the Throne of God we're a church that's on course with Destiny I believe that and there is an irresistible Force the first wave that I everybody talks about waves but the first wave is found in Acts 2 what a wave that first century by the end of that first century historians many of them say half of the Known World embrac the apostolic Doctrine they shook kingdoms and Empires they were persecuted ridiculed and martyred and the blood of the martyrs became the seed of the church you could not stop the force right right by the end of the 2 Century it gained momentum until there was a day of compromise and compromise will always produce ultimately Darkness that's right and then we went in historians say the Dark Age period but intermittently through those years there was the glimmer of light because from the day Christ founded this church he always had a church if you believe that put your hands together Gates of Hell cannot Prevail the Gates of Hell will not Prevail and then as hunger brother Mangan you said it so well as hunger prevailed through the 17th century and the 18th century and the 19th century there were revivals as people hungered great revivals the Welsh Revival the wesle and on but the beginning of the 20th century I want to bring it down there was a second wave and that wave wherever you want to start it launch it from maybe Topeka maybe Houston possibly isusa but that wave took off and the Holy Spirit F in a humble stable in isusa it was humble people the offs scum the rejects the illiterates in the minds of others but God chose to step into this wave through those means and it spread they left from these places and they went to their hometowns and they had Bible conferences and camp meetings down in Louisiana and other places and that wave of the Holy Spirit it fell everywhere it was latter rain yes yes but the will of God
the will the perfect will of God was that the revelation of who he was and baptism in his name would have accompanied that second wave yeah that was his will yeah as a matter of fact when it happened in the 1912 and 13 and 14 Ian Bell the first general superintendent of the Assemblies of God was baptized in Jesus name he in turn baptized Howard Goss who was our first general superintendent and it began to spread and it looked for a period of time as if that that Revelation was going to accompany the second wave and then there was rejection fear in fact they stood where Israel stood looking over into the promised land numbers 13 yeah and many of them for whatever reasons we'll never know political reasons religious reasons literal fear withdrew their support from truth but not all was lost for there was a Remnant that God preserved I'm part of it I said I'm part of it glory to God and that Remnant how much different would history have read today if they would have followed the revelation of Truth with the outpouring of the Holy Ghost all these many trinitarian Pentecostal movements and organizations perhaps would have been one God Jesus name it would have happened but now there has been a people that have not denied the name that against insurmountable odds and resistance have preserved the truth true and never have bowed their knee to tradition since Revelation has come brother Barnes they're going to shine as the Stars God's hand is on the people of the name we have been preserved for this moment hear me again we have been preserved for the manifestation of the works of God and we must work the works of him that has sent us while it is yet day we cannot fail now to compromise to back up would be a hideous statement in history to weaken in any sense our commitment and love for this Revelation would be to destroy everything the heritage of we've been given of our fathers and our forefathers but most most of all the commission that we've been given by Jesus Christ I'm simply here to tell you today the night is coming Jesus spoke this to me on that plane out of St Louis to Memphis and then again from Memphis to Alexander the night is coming tell the people if you don't get one thing across it because of the times get that message across the night is coming I've given them an open door I've given them Revival this is the moment of Revelation they've got to walk through that door the night is coming the night is coming the night is coming Jesus said I must needs go through Samaria and as he after visiting and ministering to the little woman at the well he said to his disciples I have meat to eat that you know not of yeah and then he said went on to say say not
there are yet four months and then cometh the Harvest there is a there is a a spirit that can easily get a hold of the United Pentecostal Church we're fighting it off right now but it's a spirit of just sit back and let it happen just just wait we we've been here before the status quo is all right the to be normal is all right I'm going to tell you to be normal is not all right the status quo is never right to be average is not good enough for me the night is coming the night is coming we have an open door seated just a minute we have an open door it was witnessed last night the baptism of many hungry sincere hearted people yeah we need we need some preachers that you're more concerned about propagating the gospel than you are about your own image I feel bold in the Holy Ghost here today the cause of Jesus is the most important cause in the world exactly right I believe God there's my friend brother Steve Wilson the general superintendent of Assemblies of the Lord Jesus we are friends we are in this together but I I I want to address the movement that I happen to be the head of United Pentecostal church we have been brought to the kingdom for now we have come to this place step up to the plate step up to the plate step up to the plate Step Up to the plate be counted as one if you have to become a fanatic become a fanatic sit down everybody now everybody in the building stand I never have enjoyed preaching to a half a crowd are you on board or not on board are you with are against us I want to know where you stand I want to know what you believe if you believe this get your hands in the air and wave them and shout unto the Lord woo Hallelujah be seated and I'm almost through but we better walk through that door I said we better walk through that door we better walk through that door this was not on my notes in my notes I didn't intend this because I have been shot at over this but I am here by Divine will of God for now in six in in a year I may be gone and it won't matter to me so you need to know that it does not matter I'm here for now because I feel like God ordered my steps Hallelujah you need to understand this Sit Down When Jesus went to Samaria it was not popular when he sat and talked to the little woman at the well he could have been misjudged God us here God us here he could have been M jur you take that hungry trinitarian preacher whether he's a Baptist Methodist or Episcopalian or an AG or anybody else and go down to a restaurant and sit across with him with your Bible open and there something Rises up you and to say I don't I hope none of our UPC Brethren come in and see me here sitting with my Bible open don't worry about now
you can say what you want but I know what you're saying on the inside but there's got to be something with a there's there must be a passion born in this church that says the night is coming and it's not my reputation that's a state I'm not talking about joining the ministerial Alliance I'm not talking about joining up with them so get that out of your head you carnal-minded whatever you are this is about following the gift the spirit this is about the Revelation that did not occur to affect them all at the turn of the 20th century but now the irresistible wave the third wave is upon us and I don't care who tries to stop us any organization any system any man when God gets ready but this is what I want to tell you I don't intend for anybody else to do my work for me because this name is going to be revealed if you believe that and you believe we're on the threshold of the greatest revelation of all put your hands together and I can cry out to God this is it this is the hour this is the moment come on let Heaven hear you let hell hear you let the world hear you stay on your feet please this is the hour for the manifestation of the works of God that's the second thing God spoke to me on the plane night is coming but it is my moment in time to manifest myself in this great and profound truth of who I am but hear this also in the gift of Miracles and the supernatural yes you better believe it we're going to see the dead raised and the First Act of seeing the dead rais needs to start right in the United Pentecostal church and raise the dead here we got some folks that are dead and need to be resurrected into life here's what I truly believe brother Morgan said it we've got to step forward and and and rebuking resist the spirit of fear what if it doesn't happen and step forward and when he says drop the Nets drop the Nets all I can do is drop the Nets he can send the school of fish when he says little Mary said whatsoever he at the weddings whatsoever he said then do you do it it first thing he said is take your pots and fill them full of water leave the miracle to him roll the stone away by this time he sth but do what he says he's the resurrection and life I feel like God has given us a space that door is going to close I was reading in Thessalonians where Paul 2
Thessalonians where Paul was addressing the Church of thessalonica and he said it's reported amongst you that the day of the Lord it says the day of Christ but in the original is the day of the Lord is is here and you've heard this by speeches and by letter but that letter is false because that day cannot come except first he who lth is removed he who lth has opened the door open the door that's the church Hallelujah but when the spirit is taken out of the way then shall the man of sin be revealed Antichrist then shall Great Tribulation come upon the world and then the second Advent there's a difference between the Rapture I I've been an and the second Advent the second Advent is when he comes back with his church and he sets up his literal Kingdom on Earth and he rules and he reigns the Earth I'm not looking for that I'm looking for the Rapture when he calls his church home this church is a force in the world yeah and as long as this church is in the world it holds back the spirit of the Antichrist we have an open door and quit belly aing about how bad things are in the world the stage is set and every farmer knows that if they's going to reap a harvest he plants the seed into the ground then there comes rain and rain and more rain and dark days and then there's a little intermittent sunshine and then there's some more rain and then the golden grain is ready for the Harvest and you better Harvest it within a brief period of time or you will lose it we've come through the time the sewing the watering yes the planting the cultivating and God's nature taking its course say not that there are four months and then cometh the Harvest lift up your eyes the grain is ripe and it's ready to harvest and the night is coming so get it in the the combines now yes before the door is shut I I I want to do it different I'm leaving tomorrow I have to go but I got a burden and I I'll say this the men that need what's going on here are probably not here the very fact that you did everything you could to get here tells me that there's something in your soul that says I got to get ready I got to get ready I got to get ready and I know there are thousands that could not come hundreds and hundreds because of other reasons I'm not but I wish I could reach every preacher I just like to touch every preacher and say listen man what you don't understand Brother Andy I'm fine listen it's our day it's your day take hope my brother take hope my sister the night is coming but it's yet day so today before I leave and turn this mic back to our brother Mangan I want every preacher Every Woman every preacher's wife every saint of God and church leader in this building to not reach over and take the hand of anybody by you but to turn around and look the next person in the eye and we're going to let God do something here today to help us understand the night is coming and to give us courage that says we got to walk out there we when we leave when we leave because of the times I don't want to ever be the same again
I want to go back to my church you say I've tried everything try again roll the stone away fill the pots with water throw the net on the other side but God help us do something turn around right now everybody turn around find somebody yoke up with them we're going to have little prayer Pray for him ask God to to give us New Vision oh yeah National Prayer worldwide prayer Monday night yes revive our souls let Revival Break Forth give us a new anointing a burst of power that's it preachers God's going to do something first that's it sisters God is going to do something this is a new day he yes yes yes yes yes yes yes what a day woo Hallelujah do it Jesus do it Jesus do it Jesus let me have your attention please please just one moment there's no question about the Breath of God on this place I want you to hear there are great things happening in the United Pentecostal church and you just need to know this 1,000 churches say it Church by God's grace will be planted in the year 2003 look at the home missions brother Cunningham I I checked with him again in the board meeting last week General board meeting he made a statement and he said we've checked everywhere and they have in the history of the Southern Baptist and the Assemblies of God and others there has never been an organization that we have any record of that planted 1,000 churches in one year but you see we're different we're on course with Destiny we've got to do more than we've ever done before and God wants every Pastor to go home if you believe in tithing you should believe in planting a church this year of course if you don't believe in tithing we won't expect that out of you we have a fabulous representation of of missionaries here yeah but the missionaries we can we send from North America itself is not going to reach the world now it's regional missionaries as well as our own that are going to be more and probably supervisor positions but there are going I looked for the day shortly brother how that there will be a thousand missionaries a year going throughout the world can you say Amen it's got to happen say Amen some of you just lost don't Daydream get excited let the blood blow praise God hallelujah brother Graham the general board unanimously last week passed app Apostolic youth corpes where our young people can spend one to two
years of their life before marriage or going in debt to buy an automobile or a car or a Home giving themselves to the work of the Kingdom I see thousands of young people I see thousands of them going all over the world preachers I want to tell you something I I wanted to appeal I wrote all this down but I just coming back to me but I'm giving it to you I'm tired of hearing from preachers from parents that are supposed to have the Holy Ghost supposed to love this message honey you need to go get you a University degree where you can be an engineer a doctor a lawyer and I know I'm I feel the rebuff don't mind it at all but you need to go get that you need to get that well you can make a lot of money in life night's coming night coming there you that's it right there the night is coming it ought to be the greatest Delight of every parent that their child son or daughter would consider the call of Jesus first we're running a away race brother JT Pew heads that commission I said brother Pew Jesus needs men and women I'm never going to be happy that we send at least 1,000 young people a year to District boards to license to preach the gospel when I was a teenager licensed at 17 it was the height of my life I was thrilled that I was going to be able to preach this wonderful truth that electrifying feeling has to come back to every teenager in the United Pentecostal Church this is a day things have to change ladies are teaching Bible studies 10,000 ladies a year committing to teach at least one Bible study every week can it not affect Men's Ministry is taking off Bible studies everything that goes on in the upci better be productive for the kingdom brother Randall I heard somewhere I'm not looking at you brother Randall I heard 50,000 children this year full of the Holy Ghost hear it today 100,000 is what God wants this year I said 100,000 is what God wants he wants 100,000 children in the United Pentecostal Church to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost in the year of 2003 that's what God wants the night is coming you see that you're beside yourself not half of what I should be the night's coming the night's coming sister Tenny we just reminded me on February the 17th you need to write it down if you can write you have a photographing mind remember it Monday evening around the world will be that evening prayer meetings in every church every Cong ation pray ye the lord of the Harvest that he would send forth labors into the Harvest field one more time would you lift your hands and let's worship God
