Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
Something Special About Being in His Presence
- No title today; he speaks from his heart through a few verses. In 48 years he has learned that much of life is beyond his control, and that if he can just get into God's presence there is a peace there that makes no logical sense amid the chaos.
- Genesis 28: the Lord speaks — I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land, for I will not leave thee until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of — and Jacob awakes saying, Surely the Lord is in this place, and I knew it not.
- Luke 5: the scribes and Pharisees murmur at Jesus eating with publicans and sinners, and he answers that they that are whole need not a physician, but they that are sick — I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. You are the reason Jesus came.
Scriptures: Genesis 28:15-16; Luke 5:30-32
He Will Heal Their Backsliding
- Hosea 14:4: I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely, for mine anger is turned away — God himself does the healing and the loving.
- You don't get good to come to God; you come to God and he helps you get good. Where his presence is, there is freedom and liberty to push aside the stuff that holds you back — and the choice is yours.
- Somebody walked in the back door weary today; God quickened his spirit and changed the order of the service because that person is in this room.
Scriptures: Hosea 14:4
Combating Unbelief: He Can Do It Twice
- Unbelief argues from the Bible's own miracles — blinded eyes opened, the dead raised, leprosy healed — and whispers that he never did the same one twice, while we have committed the same sin twice or more.
- Unbelief has no authority in this sanctuary; the healer, the restorer, and the provider are here, and God is not limited in what he can do.
- God is always motivated and drawn by faith; where there is great faith, great things happen, because he is a great God.
God Keeps His Word: Jacob's Mission Revisited
- Jacob carries a bad reputation — the supplanter who robbed a birthright and a blessing, fleeing his brother — but God had set things in motion before his birth (Genesis 25:23): two nations in the womb, and the elder shall serve the younger.
- Backing up to verse 13: the Lord stands above the ladder — I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father and the God of Isaac; the land, seed as the dust of the earth spreading to the west, east, north, and south, and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed — and, verse 15 again, I am with thee until I have done it.
- God is pausing this service to remind somebody: he had a mission for you, words were spoken over you from your very beginning, and he still intends for them to come to pass — you have not drifted too far for his love to reach you.
Scriptures: Genesis 28:15; Genesis 28:13-15; Genesis 25:23
Tune In: Hearing God in a Noisy World
- Isaiah's reminder to the same family: Remember these, O Jacob and Israel, for thou art my servant; I have formed thee — thou shalt not be forgotten of me.
- Jacob could hear because he was in a still, quiet place; we live bombarded by news, entertainment, and social media until very few enjoy being still.
- Compare your daily screen time with your time tuned in to God: you will have to purposely cut things out of your life if you are ever going to have more than lip service, and the watchman's warning is that the end is near — don't be lulled asleep by the noise.
Scriptures: Isaiah 44:21
Called by Name: Claiming Your Family
- Isaiah 43:1: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee; I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine — and that word reaches the family members who are not where they need to be; they belong to him as surely as we do.
- Verses 5-7: I will bring thy seed from the east and gather thee from the west; I will say to the north, Give up, and to the south, Keep not back — bring my sons from far and my daughters from the ends of the earth, every one called by my name.
- Don't give up hope on them, mom and dad: there is no mistake bigger than the blood that covers it, and he loves them more than you do.
Scriptures: Isaiah 43:1; Isaiah 43:5-7
The Promise-Keeping God
- 2 Peter 3:9: the Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance — quit looking at your timetable and your calendar.
- Moses was told he would not enter the promised land, and it hurts to read — yet in Mark 9, on the Mount of Transfiguration, Moses stands in the middle of the promised land talking with Jesus, at last seeing the glory he had asked to see, now revealed in the face of Jesus Christ.
- God has not forgotten what he spoke over you; you will see it come to pass as long as you are breathing — he is a promise-keeping God, every time.

Genesis 28 — I want to read verse 15- 16. And then I'm going to go very quickly to Luke 5:3 through 32. So Genesis 28516. Luke 5, verse 30 through 32.
Something special about being in the presence of God. I've learned this in my 48 years of life: that if I can just get in his presence — so much of life I can't control. That's just beyond my ability. And I've learned to accept that. It's actually helped me to stop for a minute and just say, "You know what, that's beyond my control. I can't control that. I can only control me." And when life spins fast, and things come at us in ways that seem to knock us for a loop, or take the very air out of our lungs, so to speak, we just feel that — I've learned, if I can just get myself in his presence, what I find is peace there, that doesn't make logical sense. Because there's chaos. But yet, in his presence, there's a calm. I don't have a title for this today. I'm just going to speak from my heart, through a few verses of scripture, and let God be God.
Genesis 28, verse 15: "Behold, I with thee. And I will keep thee in all the places, whether thou goest. And bring thee again into this land. For I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of." And Jacob awake out of his sleep, and he said, "Surely the Lord is in this place, and I knew it not." How powerful is that? "I'm with you. And the things I said I was going to do, I'm going to stick with you until they're done."
Luke chapter 5, verse 30: "But their scribes and pH Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, 'Why do you eat and drink with the publicans and the Sinners?' And Jesus answered and said to them, 'They that are whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. I've came not to call the righteous, but Sinners, to repentance.'"
"God, I love you so much. I want to be obedient to you today. I surrender myself over to you. I pray, God, you'd fill my mouth with your words. Lord, help me to know when to stop talking, so that you can do what you do best. God, take our Brokenness and make it beautiful. In Jesus' name we pray." Amen.
Good news: you are the reason Jesus came to the Earth. That's good news. Yeah, that's good news. Because he didn't make you qualify yourself. He just said, "I came to those that need repentance."
Hosea 14:4 says: "I will heal their backsliding. I will love them freely. For my anger is turned away from them."
Is anybody here, in this place, backsliding? Now look, when I say backsliding — especially, you' been raised in a church — it tends to cause everybody to get a little bit of like, "Well, I don't want to — I want to admit —" I'm just saying: I'm not saying you are in a state of lostness. You're just slid back from where you once was. Anybody here today — maybe you've drifted off just a little bit. You're not quite as on fire as you once were. And that's okay. It's good to know your spiritual condition. That's a handy piece of information, to know where you are with God.
When I look at this verse though, it brings me a little bit of Joy. Because he said, "I will heal their backsliding." That God will do it. That he will walk with us. He will be there. "I will love them freely." God said he'll do it. So today, if you're not where you used to be — I feel in my spirit he's getting ready to restore some things today. I have a feeling in my spirit that somebody walked in the back door of this church in a weary State. And God quickened my spirit, and changed what I was going to do, because you are in this room today. So whoever I'm speaking to today, be encouraged: that God has changed the order of the service, because you are in this place. Somebody's Faith needs to rise up right now. Right now. Not in five minutes. But right now. And engage with me, that our God — the almighty God — has moved into this place to do something special here today. So I'm encouraging you: embrace the presence of God that is here, and let him do a restorative, healing, miraculous work in this place.
Doesn't matter how mad you' messed up. It doesn't matter what kind of mess you've in. Doesn't matter what you and the devil have done with your life. The good news is, God's going to take care of you today. Yeah. You know why? Cuz his presence is here. And where he is, all things are possible. His presence brings with it freedom and liberty, for me to push aside the stuff that tries to hold me back. I don't have to be bound by that. I can choose to let it continue on. Or I can choose to embrace the presence of God in this place. It's your choice. What is your choice going to be today? I hope you choose him. I hope you choose the freedom that God affords you in your life.
I'm combating some unbelief in this room. I feel it. Unbelief never stops inventing instruments to try to come against Christians, to come against followers of Jesus Christ. Unbelief says to you, that you can look in the Bible — yes — and you can see where there were blinded eyes that were open, and there were people that were raised from the dead. And that there were limbs that were put back together, and leprosy was healed, and all the miraculous things were there. But what unbelief does is, it'll say to you, "You never seen him open the same blinded eye twice." That's — I'm speaking of unbel belief right now. I'm calling it out in this room. That's what unbelief will do. Unbelief will say that you never seen him do that twice. And while that's an important thing to pay attention to — because here's the reality: how many in this room today are willing to say that I've committed the same sin twice or more? Yeah. So what does unbelief do? Unbelief jumps on you in that moment, and says, "Look, you're broken. Yes, he raised the dead. Yes, he opened the blinded eye. Yes, he did all these things. But we only have one account of him doing that. So what about you? And you're a repeat offender."
I'm here to tell you: just because he did it once doesn't mean he can't do it twice. So I speak to that unbelief, and say, "Be gone from this place, in the name of Jesus. You have no place here. You have no right to try to limit what my God can do. Unbelief, you have no Authority in this Sanctuary today. But the King of Kings and the Lord of lords, Jesus Christ, is here. And where he is all things are possible.
I've come here today to declare a few truths in this service: that God is powerful. God is all powerful. He is not limited in what he can do. And if there's a healing need to take place today, the healer is here. The healer is here. If there needs to be a restoration today in this place, the restorer is here. If there needs to be provision in your family, the provider is here today. You'll get there in a minute.
God has said, "I want to heal your backslide. And I Want to Love You freely." What he's saying is: "I don't want you to get good to come to me. I want you to come to me, and I'll help you get good." Too many times we think that, "When I get myself in a better position, then I'll come to God." How foolish is that statement? The reason you need God is because of the state you're in. And to think that you can change it — if you could change it, you' have no need for God. But the enemy likes to turn and twist, and try to play those Mind Games, to try to convince you that it's in your ability. And until you can do it, you don't need to go to God. That's a lie. You need God. You need God. In fact, there's not one person breathing in this room right now that doesn't need God. We all need God. I need God. You need God. We need him. And thankfully, he's here. His presence is here.
I want to get one thing straight: just as much as I want everybody that has fallen away from God to get back in a right relationship with him, I want everybody that wants to be filled with the Holy Ghost to know that he's still pouring out his spirit. And if you need to be filled with his Spirit, today's your day. Today's your day. Just look at your neighbor right now — I know everybody hates that one — but I want you to look at your neighbor with faith, and say, "Today's your day." I don't care what it is you need. Today is your day.
Oh, come on now. I need somebody to activate their faith. Don't let me do it all by myself up here. Does anybody have faith in the house? Does anybody have faith — faith in God? I feel an expectation in this place. And I know I'm not by myself. But it's going to take a few of us engaging our faith, combining it together. God has every ability. But he's always motivated by faith. He's drawn to Faith. And where there's great faith, great things happen. Because he's a great God, that does big stuff, when we pay big prayers with our faith. I'm wanting to pray big prayers today. I want to see God do miraculous things. I want to emphasize that he's not limited. And his ability is not shortened. And he has all power that he has ever had. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. So everything he's done in this book, he can still do. He can still do. He can still raise the dead. He can still open the blinded eyes. He can still heal the lame, and the — he can still cure leprosy. He can take care of cancer. He can heal diabetes. He can take care of those. He can remove fear and anxiety. Why? Because he is the same God he has always been. He's just as powerful as he's always been. And we are here in his presence today. And in his presence, everything is possible.
God has a work to do in this service. Something special he wants to do, just in this place. We've been enjoying, and being so blessed, by tremendous Services over the last several months. Fact, the reality is, we, for the most part, have good church always. We do. That's not an arrogant statement. It's just — we've come, and we try to keep our heart rights, and we're trying to live right. We're trying to do right. We're trying to stay true, and be in the truth. And because that, God's presence shows up on a regular basis here. And again, where his presence is, there's liberty. There's Freedom. There's miraculous things that take place. His spirit's being poured out. Just in the last two weeks, I know we've had over six filled with the Holy Ghost. How good is our God? And not all of that's taking place inside the sanctuary on a Sunday and a Wednesday. But there's stuff going on on Mondays, and Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and Fridays, and evenings, and the mornings, and the nights. I get excited about that stuff. Because that's being the church. That's what we're about: is being the church. Being a sday a week Church, where God's presence and his word is being taught, and people are gathering together. It's exciting to be a part of something like that.
But there's something specific God wants to do in this place today. What a harvest that is there. Our world is ripe. It is ready. We don't have to pray for Revival, ladies and gentlemen. Revival is here. In fact, we were never instructed to pray for Revival. We were prayed to pray for Harvesters. The Harvest is here. We need workers. We need laborers. We need help, in all that God's trying to do in this place. I'm excited. But that excitement only takes so far. I don't know — you get excited, but that only takes us so far. At some point, we got to be willing to jump in the game. Some point, we got to be willing to do our part to get in. And many of you do. But there's still some of you that have yet not moved, or committed yourself to the Ministries that going in around this church.
I'm here to tell you: we need help. We need help. We got areas where we are really, really thin. And what's happening — and I'm seeing it going on — is we got some areas in the church where there's some people who have been given so much, that they themselves are growing weary in their well-doing. They're getting tired. I need some help. This is Pastor making a plea from the pull pit, telling you: there's some volunteers we need. There's some Ministries that are in desperate need of some volunteers around here. I could use your help. Because God's Harvest is not going to stop. In case you haven't noticed, the world's not getting better. It's not getting any better out there. Here's another one for you. Here's the newscast. Here's it: it's not going to change in November with an election. If you got faith that we're going to put somebody in the White House is going to make things different — if you haven't realized, it's all broken. It's all broken. If you haven't realized that God's perfect plan is still unfolding. In case you haven't figured out, it's going to get bad before he comes back. You know, we all will agree with that. Just nobody wants it to be bad well — I'm sorry, it's getting bad. I don't like it. I don't like where things are going. That's why I'm not focusing on that. I'm focusing on him.
Well, let me ask this question to you. This is a convicting question. He — yeah, pull your toes back: Are you praying for him to come back every day? Are you praying, "Come quickly"? And it ain't got bad enough yet. What's it take to get your attention? How bad's it got to get, before your desires to be in his presence always — something's got to shake us out of our comfort zone. Something's got to get us off sin. I'm not a doomsday Prophet. I don't like a lot of what's going on either. On the surface, there's a lot of things are really, really great. And I enjoy the Comforts and things that I have. But I also understand that there's a day coming when he's going to return back. When there is a cry out for his return — are we crying out for it? Or have we become comfortable in our life here? Have we become intoxicated with how things are, that we're not willing to pray bold prayers like, "Come quickly, Lord"? I'm praying that way. I'm praying — I don't like what's going on. I'm praying for my family. Are you praying for your family?
I'm going to go back to Genesis 28. He said in verse 15: "And behold, I'm with thee. And I will keep thee in all the places where thou goest." What we're seeing here is, Jacob — he's received instructions from his dad now. For if you know the scriptures, and you know the story — I'm going to give you a little overview, because there may be somebody here that doesn't know the full story. But what we're picking up on is the middle of the story, in the life of Jacob.
Jacob's got a bad rap. Jacob has been declared to be the The Sur planter, to be the deceiver. He has a twin brother named Esau. And him and his brother have always kind of been at odds. There've been Polar Opposites. Esau was a man of the field. He was a hunter. And Jacob was more of a guy that hung out around the house. Esau was dad's favorite, and Jacob was mom's favorite. And favoritism inside of households, amongst siblings and kids, it's never good. But it was a dysfunctional — it goes back multi generations of dysfunction, that is there. But in this moment, where he picked up in the story, he's been instructed to go get a wife from his family. He has robbed a blessing from his brother. He's robbed a Birthright from his brother. He's leaving out. He's afraid what his brother's going to do to him. So as he Journeys with, he finds a moment in the day, when he's really kind of tired from running. So he decides to go down and go for a little nap. Take his time for sleep.
So I'm going to back up to verse 13. It says: "And behold, the Lord stood above it, and said, 'I am the Lord God Almighty L, Lord God of Abraham thy father, the god of Isaac. And the land where on thou liest, I will give thee into to thy seed. And to thy seed will be, shall be, as the dust of the earth. And thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the East, and to the north, and to the South. And in thee, and in thy seed, shall all the families of the earth be blessed. And behold, I am with thee, and I will keep thee in all the places where thou goest, and where thou bring bringeth thee again into this land. For I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken of thee.'"
In other words, God was telling Jacob not to worry about what's going on around him, or what the future holds. "I've already spoke some stuff into your life and over you. And I'm intend to be with you, until it has been fulfilled in your life."
We can go back a couple of chapters, to chapter 25 of Genesis, and reading 23: "And the Lord said unto her" — his mom — "Two nations are in thy womb. And two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels. And the one people shall be stronger than the other people. And the Elder Shall Serve the younger." There was already, from his very beginning, something that God had set in motion. There was things that were there. And we see that Jacob didn't always do the best things. But God was with him. He had already set some things in Motion in his life. God had already told his mom what was going to happen. And Jacob, from his beginning, had a mission that was laid out for him, to live out. And all God is doing in Genesis 28, when I was reading that to you, is reminding him of his mission. And to let him know that he was going to make sure that it went to — it came to pass in his life.
There's somebody in this room — I feel like God has this message for somebody special today. To remind you that he had a mission for you, and you've drifted off course. Somebody today, God's trying to get your attention. I don't know what's going on. I don't know how bad it's gotten. But he is stopping things this morning, in the service, in this church, to remind you that he has a mission in your life. And what he had spoke over you from your very beginning, he still intends for it to come to pass in your life.
I reminded again how Isaiah says, in 44 4 21: "Remember these, oh Jacob and Israel. For thou art my servants. I have formed thee. Thou Art my servant. Oh Israel, Thou shalt not be forgotten." Again, it's another reminder that God is faithful and committed to his people. He's faithful and committed to his people. He's faithful. I don't know what words have been spoken over individuals in this room today. I don't know what promises have been spoken over. I don't know what giftings and Ministry callings have been spoke. But God is pausing me in my spirit today, to remind somebody that he still intends to bring to pass everything that has ever been spoken over you. He is with you. Quit paying attention to what's got you where you are. And put your eyes, and your focus, and your attention, back on him. I'm trying to do today, is remind you that there is a mission, and God is with you. I've never known God to stop. Because he's not a God who stops. He's a God who's committed. He's a God who will stick with you until the end.
Jacob thought the presence of God had left him. You know why? Well, I read it to you: because he wakes up from sleep and says, "Surely the Lord was in this place, and I knew it not." He thought he had done drifted so far away, that God wouldn't be with him.
Somebody here today — you feel the presence of God in this place. You know what I'm talking about. God is here. God is here. Listen: I don't know what sin or indiscretion has done to you. But it has not disqualified you from his love. Did you hear what I said? I don't know what sin. I don't know what bad choices. I don't know indiscretion. I don't know what kind of addiction. I don't know what kind of mess you've gotten yourself into. But it has not disqualified you from his love. He loves you. He loves you. He loves you. And his plan is still his plan for you. Just because you have never known God, or maybe you've slipped back on God, doesn't mean he has changed his plan. God is still calling. But are you listening? Are you listening today?
The reason Jacob said what he said, after the dream, is because all of a sudden his antenna became tuned in to what God was doing. And I think a reason that a lot of you have heard — and you have a hard time hearing for God — is because you're tuned into to everything else but him. We live in a world full of distractions. We live in a world that is constantly Vine for your attention. There's so many things we're bombarded with. We're just overwhelmed with stimulation, everywhere we look, everywhere we go. And we get to the point to where very few people enjoy just being in a still, quiet place. But I'm here to tell you, that the reason Jacob could hear is because he was in a still, quiet place.
What is God saying to you? What is he saying to you, child of God? What is he saying to you, sir? What is he saying to you, madam? What is he saying to you? He's speaking. He's speaking right now. What is he saying to you? Do you hear his voice? Is he guiding you? Is he directing you? Are you in tuned with him? Are you reaching out? Because we can find every reason why we shouldn't. And we can come up with every excuse. And we can make list all day long, as to why we're disqualified. But I'm here to tell you, that the calling of God is without repentance. That his plan for you is still his plan for you. His plan for you is still his plan for you. His purpose for you is still his purpose for you. Regardless of what you're trying to do. What is he trying to do? What is he trying to say? Where is he trying to speak into your life? Are you tuned in? Are you listening? It matters. It matters.
What are you feeding? What are you feeding your mind on? What are you feeding your soul? What are you feeding yourself? Are you bombarding yourself with just a steady stream of news? Are you bombarding yourself with a steady stream of entertainment? Is it social media? What is it that's consuming your life? What is it that's consuming your time? What is it that's there? This is meant to be a very convicting message today. But I need you to know that it's important, what your mind love. How much time are you spending tuning in to God? How much time do you really give him every day? How much do you dedicate to God on a daily basis? It matters. It matters.
We're reaching the end. We're reaching the end. I'm still standing on the wall. I'm a Watchman on the wall. And my job is to warn you: danger is coming. The end is near. Don't be low asleep. Don't get comfortable. Don't get so used to all the noise, and used to all the distractions, that you're not aware of the time in which we're living in. Ladies and gentlemen, how much time are you giving God? If you pulled your phone out right now, and you looked at how much screen time you spend on there — how many hours of the day do you spend on there? And then I'm going ask you the question: how does that compare, in time you spend with God? How does it compare? Does it even add up? Does it even come close? Is it even a tenth of the time that you spend distracted in other things? Where are you at?
It's not going to get better, ladies and gentlemen. You're going to have to purposely cut some stuff out of your life, if you're ever going to have a relationship with — you do more than just give lip service to God. Ladies and gentlemen, you have to be committed. Look, you may tune me off. And I may lose some people over this. You may walk out, and you can go find your another church. You can go find someplace to preach you happy. It's not my job to preach you happy. It's my job to help you get to heaven. I'm here to tell you, happy is not going to cut it. Happy's an emotion. If you're chasing an emotions, that's a Fool's Aon. Pay attention. Where you at? Where you at? Are you tuning in to God on a regular basis? Are you trying to purposely be in his presence every day? Are you purposely trying to be in his presence every day?
See, what we see in Jacob's life is, he got so caught up in the distraction. He got so caught up in the drama. And he got caught up in family D Dynamics. And family dysfunctions. And he got caught up in all that stuff, that he had so drifted away, he wasn't even hearing God's voice. So when he heard it for the first time, he was shocked and surprised. But the reality was that God would have been speaking to him every day, if he' have been listening. Are you listening? What's he saying? What's he saying to you?
I believe, when we push forward with our ministry, and what God has for us, God returns things in abundance. Want to look at what God says in Isaiah 43:1. Says: "But now, thus saith the Lord that created thee, oh Jacob, and he that formed thee, o Israel: Fear not. For I have redeemed thee. And I have called thee by name. Thou Art mine." So we belong to him. We belong to him. I'm — take it a step further: our family belongs to him. Our family — for some, I'm speaking to a mom and a dad right now, that your kids are not where they need to be. And you remember when you brought them in, and you dedicated them to God. You remember when they were little, and you would brought them in, and you seen when God was working, and God had his hand on their life. But they're away from God right now. They're not where they need to be. They're his, as much as you think you love them, he loves them more. They belong to him. I go back: "I have called thee by name. Thou Art mine." The backslider belongs to God. The Wayward one. Our family. Our lost family. They belong to God.
Isaiah 43 and5: "Fear not. I am with thee. I will bring thy seed up from the East, and gather from the West. I will say the north, 'Give up,' and the South, 'Keep back. Bring my sons from afar, and my daughters from the ends of the Earth. Everyone that is called by my name. For I have created him for my glory. I have formed him. Yay, I have made himall.'"
Hallelujah. In the name of Jesus, I claim victory over my family. Devil, you can't have them. They don't belong to you. You may have won one battle, but you will not win the war. In the name of Jesus, I'm claiming my family is going to be back, and they're going to be restored where they're supposed to be. My family is going to be saved. I don't care how big a mistake they made in their life. There is no mistake that is bigger than the blood that can cover over it. And I'm claiming right now, boldly, with my faith, that my family will be restored back to where they want to be.
I'm telling somebody today, that God is in the restoration business. Don't you give up hope on them, mom. Don't you give up hope on them, dad. I don't care what they've gotten thems into. I don't care what kind of lives they've been living. They still belong to him. They are his children. He purchased them long ago at Calvary. And he loves them more than you love them. His word says he'll turn his anger away.
I need a couple of people that are intercessors in prayer, just to be praying right now. Because there is a resistance going in this room, and I rebuke it in the name of Jesus. I need somebody just be praying. I'm going to still finish my message, but somebody be praying right now. There is power in this place. I don't know who needs a life change today. But somebody needs a life change in this place. Somebody needs to, in just a few minutes, to exercise some faith, and trust that God is going to do a restorative work in his house today.
There is power in the presence of the almighty God, to change your life. In his presence there is fullness of joy. In his presence there is healing for sickness. In his presence, he takes ashes and turns it into beautiful things. His name washes away every sorrow, and every sin, and every heartache, and every failure. There is no name like the name of Jesus. There is no name like the name of Jesus. The name that he — it takes care, and he heals his diseases and sickness. And it's a name that cleanses sin, and it goes away. It's a name that turns failures around. It's a name that takes care of mistakes. There is nothing like the name of Jesus. It sets you free. If you're tired, and you're ready today, is the day.
I rebuke doubt and unbelief in the name of Jesus. Be gone from here. Let there be freedom of worship and praise break forth in this place. God, you said where you are, there is Liberty. Who you set free is free indeed. And there are redeemed people in this place, been set loose of those addictions, those things that have kept us bound. God, I pray right now for there be a full outpouring of your spirit in this place today. In the mighty name of Jesus, I take power and authority and Dominion in this place. Every hindering Spirit, every lying Spirit, every bit of fear and anxiety, be gone in the name of Jesus.
God has made some of you some promises. I want you to know, he intends to keep those PR promises. He has showed you a Ministry. And he spoke it into you. And you're letting fear hold you back. In the name of Jesus: fear be gone. Fear be gone. We're living in these last days. And God's going to do a quick — and he's going to do a fast work. But we got to have individuals who he's called, to be in their Ministry positions, and where they're supposed to be. And I'm looking for an army to stand up today, to say, "God has called me. God has called me. God has called me." I'm not saying he may necessarily called you to Pastor, or called you to be behind a pull pit. But he has called you. He's placed talents in gifts and abilities in you. And they're lying dormant. You're not using them. I'm here to call up an army, to a rally cry, that we are in the last day. And I don't need you sitting on a church pew. I need you engaged. I need you involved. We got to get into his presence. It's time for an army to stand and rise, and be what God has called you to be.
Second Peter 3:9 says: "The Lord is not Slack concerning his promises, of some men count slackness. But his longsuffering to us were God, willing that any should perish, but that should all come to repentance." I'm here to say, he doesn't pull back on his word. He doesn't pull back on his promise. He will keep it. You haven't seen it yet, but it doesn't mean God's not going to do it. Quit looking at your timetable. Quit looking at your calendar. If God said it, he will keep his word. Every time. Every time, he keeps his word.
Take it a bit further. Mark 9:2: "After six days Days, Jesus take with him Peter and James and John, and lead them up to a high mountain apart by themselves. And there it was transfigured before them. And his reignment, it became shining, exceeding white as snow. So no full on Earth could whiten them. And there appeared to him Elias and Moses. They were talking with Jesus."
I'll be honest with you: one of the hardest things for me to read, every year, as I'm reading through the Bible, is to read the account when Moses is told by God, "You're not going into the promised land." That just hurts my feelings. Maybe it's a little bit more personal now. Because he was — Moses was the pastor. And he had a lot of feelings that I've had before. "I didn't birth these people. What you want me to do?" At the same time, I've seen him where he says, "If you're going to take them out, take me too." Hey, I understand. He's dealing. He's struggling. All these emotions. So when he has a moment, when God tells him to speak to the Rock — and then we obviously can pick up from the tone and the wording that is there, in the middle of frustration, that he is really frustrated with the people. And instead of speaking to the Rock, he takes a stick. And I'm sure he probably had some Saint's face right there. That's just my version. And water comes rolling out. And then God says, "Because you're disobedient, you're not going to go into your promised land." That hurts. Cuz I'm like, "Oh God, help me." I don't know what you think about me. But I'm not a perfect man. I'm flawed Humanity, just like you. But I get encouraged, because he had spoke some things to Moses earlier. There were promises given. And I'm like, "Well, it seems to be an instance where God's kind of going back on what was there." Until you get to Mark, and you realize that, that story I just read to you — there, they're right in the middle of the promised land now.
There's a whole lot to this. And this story is much deeper than I have time today. Because Moses is asking him, at one point, to show him his glory. "I want to see you. I want to see you." He says, "I can't show you. No man can see my glory and live. But I'll tuck you in the Cliff of The Rock. And I'll put my hand over you. And I'll walk by. And then, as I pass by, I will Rel — I remove my hand, and you can see the hinder part." And that's my — again, this is deep Waters. But it's how I personally believe that Moses was able to write Genesis and exodus. He was able to write the history, because he got to see the back part of what was going on. But he wanted to see him. But he couldn't show him. "I can't show you my face, Moses, because my face isn't there yet." We know that, because Paul, writing in 2 Corinthians, says the glory of God is revealed in the face of Jesus Christ. "You're asking to see something that doesn't exist yet." But on Mount Transfiguration, Moses appears again. And he's looking at Jesus. And in my mind, this is how it unfolds, is: "Yeah, I still kept my word. You're in the promised land. And what you asked to see, I couldn't show you them. But it's standing right there. It's standing right there. You wanted to see it. You wanted to see the glory. It wasn't available at that time. But it's standing right there. You can see it." Why? Because he's a promis keeping God. He's a promise keeping God. Every time. God keeps his promises, because he's a God who can keep his word.
So as I get ready to bring this to a close — because I just feel in my spirit down here, God wants to do some restoration today — I'm here to tell somebody, that God has not forgotten what he spoke over you. That you will see it come to pass in your life. As long as you're breathing, there's still an opportunity for God to be God.
Will you stand with me right now, if it's okay? If it's okay, if you're comfortable, would you mind closing your eyes? If you are filled with his Spirit right now, I'm asking you to do something I rarely ask you to do. But I want you to start praying. I want you to pray in the spirit, right now.
