Code Orange Revival Friday Morning

praise the Lord everybody are you excited to be at Friday Chapel here's the real question are you a are are you excited that there's no school next week wow it's an answer to somebody's prayers um I'm so grateful for what God has done uh yesterday and Wednesday night and as I have already said I'll say again it's been such a joy to come back and to be with all of you and to watch you guys worship to watch you guys pray um last night I got to watch the Eagles ball it up and uh they took home the W I told them I wasn't coming if they were going to take an L so I got to see them a little bit and I didn't even get no sh shout out didn't go get didn't get no love it's all right I still love them and here we are back this morning and then this weekend is going to be a great weekend Sunday's going to be amazing uh but today I uh I want to I want to uh I want to open up the word of the Lord and I want to teach to you guys um some principles and some applications that I think are pertinent and I hope that I can say something today um that will bless you that will inspire you and I just happen to believe as uh Pastor Whitley said that Jesus is going to speak to us and that we're going to grow that we're going to develop in the knowledge and the grace of Jesus Christ and so before we get into our lesson today could we just one more time could we close our eyes could we raise our hands and could we just ask God to speak to us through his word can you do that with me let's close our eyes and raise our hands Jesus I thank you so much for this Friday morning Chapel I thank you so much for your word I thank you so much for my amazing friends my amazing family my brothers and my sisters that are here today God I pray that you would do something special in our heart God we know that you have a call on our life we know that your anointing is on our life we know that there is great potential upon us and God we want to live it out we want to be exactly what you have ordained us to be and I thank you for it in Jesus name someone say say in Jesus name somebody shout in Jesus name in I want you to turn to your buddy turn to your friend turn to your bro your sis and I want you to tell them you are a Difference Maker Now turn to someone beside you on the other side and tell them you are a Difference Maker Now I want you to scream at somebody across your row or across the sanctuary and scream at them and tell them they are a Difference Maker [Applause] I want to read to you today from 1st Samuel 16 And1 1st Samuel 16 And1 and it says this and the Lord said unto Samuel how long will you mourn for Saul seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel I want you to fill your horn with oil I want you to go and I want you to send for Jesse the bethlehemite for I have provided me a king among his sons today I want to go through the story of David and I want to highlight David because God used David to be a differen maker for his generation and I believe that I am looking at an army at a group at a school of difference makers and I believe there's some principles today like us just said that are applicable they're are pertinent and I pray that will bless you and so that's what I want want to talk about today I want to talk about differen makers one more time tell someone beside you you are a differen maker you can be seated this morning I think the wording in this verse is so powerful because God is letting the prophet know there is a king in the kid there is somebody that I have anointed there is somebody that I have selected there is someone that I have called out for my purpose and this is the wording that to me is is so powerful God tells the prophet I have provided me a king among Jesse's Sons he doesn't say I have provided me a a a king Above the Rest of the sons he says no I have a king that is called and selected among the sons it reminds me of when the angel came to Mary and and he he didn't tell Mary you you you are blessed above other women the angel told Mary that you are blessed among women how many of you know that God does have a calling on your life God has a purpose for your life well let me just go ahead and take the pressure off of you let me just go ahead and and ease your mind just a little bit God is is not calling you to be better than your friend God is not calling you to a competition that you've got to flex on me or I've got a flex on you you know what God is calling you God is calling you to rise up not to be above your friends God is call calling you to rise up among your friends God is calling us really to to serve each other that we are a family we are surrounded by brothers and sisters and the enemy would love for nothing more than us to be envious of each other to be insecure about one another's strengths and talents but God is saying there is room in the body of Christ for every single person with your strengths with your weaknesses with your skills with your idiosyncrasies God is calling you to serve in a capacity far beyond what you can imagine you know what I believe I believe that I'm looking at at girls and guys young men and women that that God is going to give an an amazing gift and you know what that gift is is the gift of humility can I just share a little principle with you that I think will help you uh in the days to come uh there's got to be this balance you have to have you've got to be confident someone say I've got to be confident you've got to be confident that God wants to use you you've got to be confident that God's hand is upon you you you've got to be confident enough to know that God wants to use you but you've also got to be humble enough to know that God wants to use someone else my giftings do not have to nullify or Avid your giftings there's some things that you guys are that I am not and there's some things that I am that that that you're not you you've got to be at peace with who who God has made you to be and you've also got to be at peace with with who you are not John the Baptist was this amazing man of God he was this amazing Prophet that that that foretold of Christ's coming he had a big responsibility and if anyone could have had an inferiority complex it could have been him because because Jesus Christ the the lamb that would be slain was literally coming after him he he was going to lose his job to a lamb and you know what his words were I'm not the Christ I'm not the Christ I'm not the Christ and then later Jesus is referring to this great man of God and he said there is there is no Prophet like John so you know what that tells me greatness means knowing what you are but greatness also means knowing what you're not it doesn't mean matter who you are in this room it doesn't matter where you've come from it doesn't matter your IQ um you've got strengths and you've got skills and you've got talents that God wants to leverage for his kingdom and that excites me because I remember sitting where where where you are seated I I I remember being your age and I would have never guessed all of the things that God would have allowed me to do for for his kingdom I I I I I just need to remind you and I need to pause for just a minute and and reiterate that you really do serve a mind-blowing god you really do serve a mindblowing god there's this amazing scripture that says he can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think so that means that there's there's certain things that God has uh for you and for your life life for your future for your agenda that has never even crossed your cranium you you've literally never even thought about it it if you saw if you knew everything that God wanted to do in your life it wouldn't even fully compute he can do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think so if we can't even fully think it how do we fully ask it you just need to know intrinsically that you can plan you can prepare you can pray you you can fast God's going to give wisdom God's going to give Clarity but I want you to remember I want you to remember in Your Heart of heart in your mind in your spirit God is going to do things in your life that you never thought possible so I want you to say this with me differen makers are servants difference makers are servants God is call oh you can say it again got some overachievers in the house we'll say it one more time difference makers are servants if you're going to be a Difference Maker then God is asking you to serve with a spirit of humility while knowing and being confident that he is going to use you above your wildest dreams I want to go to another uh principle that I think is so uh powerful 1st Samuel 17 the next chapter and uh verse 12 says now David was the son of the ephrathite of Bethlehem Judah whose name was Jesse and Jesse had eight sons and there was a scout who was going among men for an old man in the days of Saul what this verse is telling us that there there was there was scouts that were going throughout the land and you know what they were looking for they were they were looking for men that would be able to fight they would they were looking for men that would be that would be soldiers and and when we when we read the rest of the story we realized that that David is actually going to be overlooked that David is not old enough to be a warrior that that David is is not deemed old enough to fight David is said to be too young but here's what you got to realize if you are going to be a Difference Maker you cannot despise your age can you say that with me I will not despise my age your turn I will not despise my age how about we say it a little differently I'm not too young to be used by God see you're saying it with with with your mouth but I I I wanted to get into your spirit God is going to do special things in the future but I want to highlight that God is also going to do significant spectacular and Supernatural and even simple things right now in your present God is already filling some of you with the gift of his Spirit right now at the age that you're at someone has already decided to be baptized today and I'm so glad that they didn't wait for another year I'm so glad they decide to be baptized today there are those among you that you are realizing that there are giftings that that God is developing right now this amazing preacher and and man of God named Paul he he told Timothy he said he said I I I I I I want you to be an example I want your life to be a testimony a template I I I don't want you to let anyone despise your age don't let anyone convince you that you are too young to be used by God I don't know where I heard it I don't know if I read it somewhere uh somewhere in my uh young teenage life I I I came across this statement um and and it was simply this if you're young enough to be tempted you're old enough to be anointed I truly believe that I actually hope some of you will write that down in your diary or your notebook I hope that it'll become a life modotto for you if you are young enough to be tempted you were old enough to be anointed if you are old enough to feel the adversary come against your life then you are old enough to feel feel your Advocate your heavenly father bless you and touch you and anoint you I believe that I'm looking at difference makers and differen makers don't wait until they're older but day by day week by week month by month year by year they allow God to use them David was this young Shepherd that was that was overlooked by everyone around him how many of you ever felt overlooked how many of you felt like that that you were were you were alone that you were by yourself and uh and you just you you didn't know you didn't really know if there was something uh special about your life about you as a person I'm here today to confirm to you that God has made you to be exactly who he created you to be there is not another you there is no one that can replace you there is no one that can be a replica I want you to understand today that God has created you with your unique purpose and I just happen to believe that you can fulfill things on this planet that that that might not can take place that not that might not can can can come be accomplished through through anybody else I want to take you to another passage of scripture 1 Samuel 17 so I want you to say it one more time with me differen makers do not despise their age can you say that difference makers do not despise their age 1st Samuel 17 and 23 1st Samuel 17 and 23 now we fast forward and David is is is at a battle David is is bringing food to his brothers and all of a sudden there is this giant you're probably familiar with the story he comes out and he begins to Bellow he begins to scream he begins to taunt he's he's issuing a challenge and this is the verse that we read 1st Samuel 17:23 says and as they were talking behold there came up the champion the Philistine of gath Goliath by name out of the armies of the Philistines and he spake according to the same words and David heard them and David heard them differen makers hear what everybody else is hearing but they don't do what everybody else is doing let's recap for just a minute there is this giant who has come against the people of God he is angry he is wicked he wants to take them out and everybody has been internalizing everybody has been listening to these words but nobody is doing anything they are equipped they are train they are trained but they they've just been on the on the on the sidelines and and now David the one who's just been overlooked David the one who was not old enough to fight now he is on location and the Bible takes special attention to allow us the reader to know the very moment seemingly that David hears the giant see it's so easy to look at men of God women of God it's so easy to look at our pastors it's so easy to look at spiritual leaders it's so easy uh to look at veteran Believers that we go to church with it's so easy to look uh at people on staff and think you know what they just don't face what I face they just don't deal with what I deal with I I don't even know if they ever get tempted I don't know if they ever want to give up I don't I I I I don't know if they if they if they ever feel fear like I do I I don't I don't know if they ever face lust like I do I I don't know if they ever not want to pray has anyone ever felt that you can you can look and be inspired by men and women of God around you and if not careful you can idolize their spirituality but minimize their Humanity I want you to know if there is anybody in your sphere in your orb in your world that is living for God as a Victor as an overcomer I want to say this to you again they hear what everybody else is hearing they are human just like you but somewhere there has to be a boldness that can only be given by the spirit somewhere there has to be a boldness that is cultivated in prayer somewhere there is a boldness that comes from the rich nutrition of God God's word that says you know what I am able to fight against the adversary I am able to stand up and to speak out and so I want to highlight to you if you are going to be a Difference Maker if you are going to be used by God and I believe that you will be some of you don't even realize but God is going to use you to break cycles of dysfunction God is going to use you to be a testimony in your family in this community God is going to use you to open up spiritual doors I'm telling you again God is going to blow your mind I I promise you some of you are going to look back at Chapel Services and you're going to look back at these times and these classes and the this cold orange Revival and you're going to think you know what that's when I begin to believe that God really was going to do something in my life you know what that that's when I decided that I was just going to pray start praying more consistently that that's when I decided you know what I I I know that my family has been a victim to this and and I I know I got some family members that haven't overcome that but you know what I have been made new in Christ and I can have Victory and dominion over this you're going to look back at these moments and you're going to realize this is this is where it began and so I want to remind you that you're still going to be human you're going to face challenges you're going to face struggles but God is going to be with you and God is going to help you and just like David you're going to hear the threats and the lies of the adversary but you don't have to give up you don't have to cower you can fight and you can overcome through the anointing I think it's so amazing that that um that that that that David has some brothers on that same Battlefield and they really should be his encouragers they they really should be his disciplers they they should be helping him they should be nurturing him but I want you to read a passage of scripture that I I think is um just again has has a principle for us that I would like to share 1st Samuel 17 and 28 says and elabs D David's older brother heard when David spake unto the men and eliab's anger was kindled against David and he said why have you come here I guess the dude's forgetting that David brought some good food but right now he's just angry he says why why why are you here who have you left those few sheep within the Wilderness he continues to criticize and he says I know your pride I know the naughtiness of your heart you've literally just come down to see the battle if you're going to be a Difference Maker you cannot listen to sideline voices now some of you may not that may not even fully resonate you may not know what that means but you're going to you're going to learn what it means the older you get so I want you to say it out loud with me if I am going to be a Difference Maker I cannot listen to sideline voices what does that mean that means the older that you get there are going to be people that have an opinion but they do not have experience that means that the older you get there are going to be people that have criticism but they did not call you they they they that they are not the one that believes in you they are not the ones that that know you can succeed David has been anointed by God to take down this giant and he is surrounded by people that do not believe in him they doubt him they they critique him and and they're they're they they are sideline soldiers it's so interesting that his brother says why have you come to see the battle and there's not even a battle that's taking place they have not even engaged with Wilderness well here's here's what I'm pretty confident in I'm pretty confident that it wasn't a few sheep I'm pretty confident that it was a flock David was a shepherd and David was helping his father and I'm pretty more I'm pretty for sure that it was more than just a few sheep and you know what I'm also confident in I I'm I'm pretty sure that David being a good shepherd didn't leave those poor sheep that are without their Shepherd and friend just in a dry Barren Wilderness with no water with no grass Dave is a Good Shepherd so you know what I think he does I think he leaves them in a pasture I think he leaves Le leaves them with the ability to to access water and and nutrition and you you can't tell me that he's going to take food to his Bros that don't even like him um but he he's going to leave his his beloved sheep without access to to food and drink and and water and sustenance and so so I I think it's interesting that that this sideline voice says you left those few sheep in the wilderness I think those are two lies honestly I think the first lie is few sheep I think it was a flock and I think the second lie is that they're in the wilderness I I think they're in a a green pasture and so I I I want to just share a principle with you today um Walking with God being an overcomer being a Victor ha h h h having having a a a life that is full of Kingdom success being a Difference Maker really goes back to two things and there's always something that I say in the middle of a sermon that if you forget everything else I I I really want you to to remember this and this is that part this is what I want you to screenshot in your spirit this is what I want you to remember it really goes back to the basics to know God and to make him known to love God and to love people so we're going to we're going to say that out loud what are you to do you are to love God oh you got you're getting a little tired on me say you got to love God you got to love people people that's us you got to know God and to make him known God wants you to walk with him and God wants you to be a witness for him and so as I'm getting ready to come to a close I I I I I I I want to remind you that there are always going to be people that see that that see prayer as a Wilderness there's going to be people that that see prayer and the word of God as just something dry you know why because they have never walked with their Good Shepherd in green pastures besides Still Waters there are people that want to turn your walk with God into a Wilderness there's nothing there but I want to challenge you not to listen to sideline voices and I also want to remind you that it's the will of God that you bless others that you serve others that you teach others you know what God desires for your life he doesn't just desire for you to get into the word he desires you to share his word with somebody else he doesn't just desire for you to receive his Spirit you you want to know something greater if it even is possible yes there's something greater than receiving the gift of God's spirit is seeing someone else receive God's spirit there's something greater than being baptized in the name of Jesus as detailed in scripture it's seeing one of your friends be baptized in the name of Jesus and that's what we're going to see today it is the will of God for you to have A Flock that you intercede over that you that you disciple that that that you pray over and you know what there's always going to be a Seline voice that says you know what I don't know if that Bible study is worth it I I I don't know if that prodal can come back I don't I don't I don't know if you really should take time to Disciple This individual but I want to challenge you to not allow any sideline voice to turn your walk with God into a Wilderness and don't let let any sideline voice turn a flock a a a a a a a friend group a Bible study into just a few God places value on your walk with him and God places value on your witness to others I want you to stand with me all across the room I want you to say it with me today difference makers walk with God say one more time with me difference makers walk with God difference makers are a witness for God so one of the last things that I want to share with you that I think um that I think is is is really important is found in verse 29 David is responding to this criticism and this is what David says what have I now done is there not a cause is there not a calling is there not an impetus is there not a a purpose is there not a cause and so this is what the Bible says in verse 30 and I think this is so powerful the Bible says that David turned from him towards another and he spake after the same manner and the people answered him again after the former manner so I need some some help I had a buddy today that was asking me to use him and I don't know where he is where is he at where where is it [name redacted] where's [name redacted] at where's [name redacted] am I looking at [name redacted] where's [name redacted] run up here run up here hurry hurry run run oh no don't reject me [name redacted] okay [name redacted] is rejecting me can I use you two yeah you y'all run up here both of you run up here run up here buddy run up here hey yeah run up here run up here run up here yeah come on run up run up and I need one more I need you yeah you come on run up here run up here all right so I need y'all to stand in the line we got one we got two three four what's your name [name redacted] [name redacted] [name redacted] [name redacted] [name redacted] y'all give it up y'all give it up for him now what's your name what is it [name redacted] y'all give it up for [name redacted] okay so I need you to be David so this is this is what we just this is what we just read David is turning around to those around him and he says is there not a calls he has just received criticism from his older brothers and now he's looking for someone to agree with him he's looking for someone to believe that the giant that has been yelling and screaming can be defeated and so you know what the Bible says the Bible says that he turned to someone else and said is there not a cause and here's the problem they answered him the same as everyone else so I I just I just want you to I just want you to to ask them is there a cause and here's you're going to say no okay so you're going to ask them is there a cause no oh man wow is there a cause wow lame is there a cause no is there a cause no you know what the Bible says I I want I want to read the rest of the verse David say right there is so amazing to me he turned from him towards another and spake after the same manner and the people answered him again after the form former manner David did not change his conversation David did not change his calling you know what David did David changed his Circle just because someone else didn't believe that God was going to use him just because someone else didn't believe that God was going to come through just because someone else didn't believe on the Divine Mission and purpose did not mean that David was going to change you know what he kept doing he kept speak they were answering the same but he kept speaking the same so I I want to I want to challenge you if you're going to be a Difference Maker in the Kingdom if you're going to be a Difference Maker in your generation you cannot change the calling that God has placed on you there may be some friends that decide that it's not worth it being spiritual there may be some friends that decide that they don't they don't truly believe that God has a purpose for them but you you're a David it's the will of God that you serve your generation and be a Difference Maker because I'm GNA let you know God's going to use somebody to bring the giant down it might as well be you it might as well be me God's going to use a 10-year-old God's going to use a 14year old God's going to use the 17y old God is going to use you now in your present God's going to use you tomorrow in your future so I want you to join me in the front I want you to run up to the front as fast as you can fast as you can as fast as you can thank you guys everybody run run run as fast as you can there's still some people coming come as close as you can come as close as you can we're getting ready for a baptism in just a minute how many of you are excited that one of your friends is getting baptized that's amazing that's so amazing here's what I want us to do I want everyone to look at me I want everyone to look at me we're getting ready to watch watch one of our friends get baptized but here's what I want us to do I want us to pray a simple prayer I want everyone are you looking at me are you looking at me you're not looking at me oh y'all better look at me I want everyone to listen to me David was one person can you say that with me David was one person here's what's so awesome when David stepped out and did what God had called called David to do you know what happened the Bible says there was an entire Army that rose up so I want you to point at yourself and say I'm just one person say I'm one person I'm one person but now I want you to point at everyone around you I want you to look at everybody around you I want you to say we're an army together we're an army together [Music] so I want you to put your arm around one of your friends can you do that can you put your arm around one of your friends older younger I want everyone to help me out I want you to put your arm around somebody we're getting ready to agree together I just happen to believe that God is going to use people in this room to start something so big in the spirit that it takes an army to finish it God's just looking for one person a day to start praying consistently God's just looking for one person to start teaching a Bible study God's just looking for one person to become more devoted in their worship and when that one person steps out God can use you to inspire your friends
