Wednesday Night Bible Study

Lord bless you how many of you are grateful to be in the house of the Lord on a Wednesday night I wonder if we could just give God a hand clap of Praise more than routine more than protocol I wonder if we could just let all of heaven and maybe also let hell know that we made it to church tonight can we do that we bless you Jesus we honor you hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah could I ask you just to do it 10 more seconds all across the sanctuary could you do it just a little louder just a little longer hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah I bless you Jesus I bless you Jesus I'm going to be taking your attention to the book of 2 Kings chapter 5 the book of 2 Kings chapter 5 and we'll begin at verse 10 the book of second Kings chapter 5 and verse 10 what a joy it is to be uh back in the house house of the Lord in Knoxville Tennessee I'm I've been so expectant and excited for uh what the Lord would do throughout this week and into the weekend we have had a marvelous Chapel this morning and it was so amazing uh to see so many uh young men and women and boys and girls uh respond to the presence of the Lord I was 6 years old when I received the gift of the Holy Ghost for the very first time and I go back to moment moments as a young boy as a pre-teen as a teenager and my prayer is that this week would include moments uh for the students uh that I experienced because I go back to those moments so many times they have anchored me they have tethered me and it's such a joy uh to be able to travel and to be able to see uh the kingdom and to see what God is doing not only locally uh but globally and I'm just grateful that God uses and chooses uh to use all of us amen I was in Canada a few months ago and we had a youth convention and a young man came up to me afterwards he said uh he said I I just want to share a testimony with you would that be all right I said absolutely I want to know what the Lord has done I was not prepared for what he was going to share next he said uh he said you know I really believe that God is wanting to use me and and I'm I'm a youth leader and I believe the Lord's wanted me to to step out in my speaking and in Bible studies and in sharing sharing the gospel he said but you don't know me I'm unique I'm different I'm eccentric I'm just a little weird he said but tonight after hearing you Minister I said Lord if you can use him I know you can use me I said I am so honored and then I said walk away fool I didn't say that but I wanted to but I'm glad God uses all of us amen I'm so grateful to this pastoral family uh for allowing me to come back and how many of you appreciate your leadership and their Kingdom Vision James is one of my best friends and and he he came to Knoxville before me and I remember him on the phone just telling me uh about the Christian kind kindness that exuded from uh this pastoral family and the leadership and I remember him just going on and on and I I'm definitely not old but I've lived uh long enough to realize I said this last time and so I'm going to be repetitive uh I've lived long enough to understand that not every Pastor is a Christian not every Pastor is a Christian but God has blessed you not with perfect leadership uh but with Christlike leadership and I salute them TR from the bottom of my heart I want to go to the word of the Lord you can clap can we clap one more time for your leadership they're so deserving of it thank you to the musicians and singers for bringing us into the presence of God UNL unlike the last few uh uh Code Orange Revival speakers uh James and and brother Evan I do not sing I preach and I like preaching to people and when I sing there is no more people so I appreciate all of the singing that went forth tonight cuz you will not be hearing any From Me 2 Kings 5 and: 10 if you're there say Amen you can't cheat and look on the screen oh you can if you're cheating and looking on the walls say Amen if you're just saying Amen to say Amen say amen amen you're disappointing me but I appreciate your honesty Ela s aren't you grateful you can have fun in the house of God aren't you grateful you can smile in the house of God I really believe the Lord's going to encourage somebody tonight I really do believe that 2 Kings 5:10 and Elisha sent a messenger unto him saying go and wash in Jordan seven times and your flesh shall come again to thee and you will be clean but non was wroth and he went away and said behold I thought he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God and strike his hand over the place and recover the leper are not these Rivers better I I I I'd rather choose this River and that River may I not wash in them and and be clean and so he went away in Anger he went away in Rage verse 13 says and his servants came and spake unto him and said my father if the prophet had asked you to do a great thing would you not have done it how much rather when he just simply asked you to wash and be clean so nonon went down he dipped seven times in the Jordan according to the saying of the man of God and his flesh came again like unto the Flesh of a little child and he was clean he returned to the man of God he and all his company and he came and he stood before him and he said behold now I know that there is no God in all of the Earth but in Israel now therefore I pray thee take a blessing of thy servant but as he but he said as the Lord liveth before whom I stand I will not receive any will not receive none and so he urged him to take it but he refus and so non pulls a plot to us and he says if you're not going to receive anything from me I want something from you shall there not then I pray thee be given unto thy servant Two Mules burden of Earth for the next few moments I want to just teach to You Preach to you talk to you uh do a little yelling at you on this simple subject Deliverance with a side of dirt Deliverance with a side of dirt I want you to tell your neighbor Deliverance with a side of dirt I want you to turn to your other neighbor the one you just rejected and uh I want you to tell them Deliverance with a side of dirt now I really do believe God going to speak to us and I believe Thanksgiving is a form of Faith so could we exercise our faith and just thank the Lord for what he's going to do God I thank you so much for my family in Knoxville Tennessee I thank you so much for this body of Believers I thank you for my brothers and my sisters and God most importantly I thank you that you are in this house I ask that your angels would Minister to the a of Salvation I ask God on this Wednesday night in the middle of the week God that the best gifts would be in operation I ask that you would do what only you can get credit for go beyond our sacrifice go beyond our planning and do what only you can do I thank you for it tonight I give you great praise yours is the kingdom and the glory and the honor forever and ever in Jesus name somebody say in Jesus name somebody shout in Jesus name and if you believe that prayer could I just ask you to clap your hands as loud as you have all servants hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah God bless you and you may be seated I like to win yes and I like to win again yes sir and I like to win some more and if you don't like the win I want to play you because I like the win I don't really understand those of you uh that go out and you fish and you don't catch anything and you come back back and somebody asked you did you did you catch any fish and with a smile and a fake grin you say I didn't catch no fish but I caught a good time if you did not catch fish you were not having a good time and if you cannot catch fish and have a good time I love you I will go to heaven with you but I do not respect you I don't understand those that can ball those that can that can golf those that can play checkers chess any type of game or Sport and and just have a good time losing if you can have a good time losing I love you I'm going to go to church with you but I repeat you do not inspire me I like to win and I like to win some more and I like to win again the Bible lets us know that non is a war Warrior he is a winner he is a conqueror he is a revered Commander even the people of God in their vulnerable carnal State have fallen prey to this man every single battle he walks into he walks out of there is no Skirmish there is no war there there there is nothing that he has walked into that he has not emerged Victorious every single time they takes the W he doesn't take the L's he just keeps winning and winning again and again and again but the Bible lets us know that nonon is diagnosed with Leprosy it does not matter how much you win at life it does not matter how long you win at life at some point in time you will face a losing battle nameing the winner nameing the Conqueror naming the commander naming the respected and the revered is now naming the leper it's an incurable diagnosis and disease it's horrific it's tragic it would begin to eat him from the inside out Moment by moment hour by hour day by day week by week I think for a time he can hide it I think for a Time the armor can cover it I think for a Time the Regal robes can can can can keep it hidden but every single time that non comes back home he's coming back home to a losing battle our life is full of the ability to uh win publicly there are so many opportunities to appear Victorious on the exterior but only we and God Alone know the battles that we are losing privately it does not matter how much we are winning publicly if we are coming home to losing battles but the Bible says not plopped not accidentally there but strategically by Divine Design the Bible says there is a little Maid a young woman of God who appears Fearless in her faith she has been taken away from her family y'all let's unpack this she's been taken away from her crib her people from Chick-fil-A from everything that she knows and loves and yet when she hears that nonon has leprosy leprosy she does what I would not have done now I just want to ask you uh I I want to get permission from you tonight uh can I just be real with you tonight can I be transparent with you and you not judge me oh that's the sound of people getting ready to judge I need you to take off your fake Halo I need you to unplug it put it under your Pew go home and burn it I I really like I would really like to preach to real people tonight my assignment is not to the Angelic host my assignment is to humans tonight I uh I just I I'm I'm just saying if I find out that the man who has taken me captive and taken me from my home and and now I am in this foreign context surrounded by the unknown surrounded by fear and anxiety if I find out the man who is responsible for that has leprosy I'm now deciding if I'm going to cue the shout now playlist on Apple music or Spotify nonon has glory to God non has leprosy oh dear thank you Jesus thank has Le non has leprosy when's he going to die is uh he going to be taken out in a few days going to be a month uh naming I'm telling you there's a God in heaven I'm been praying for this I didn't put it on the back screen I didn't submit it on Sundays but I have been praying and God hears and God knows and N non's about to die see y'all judging you're judging but I I I told y'all she didn't do what I would have done that's what I would have done and that's what some of y'all would have done you ain't faking me out but she still has her empathy she still has her compassion she still has her character it alludes that she still has a love for God because I don't think you're going to testify about a God that you're jaded at I don't think you're going to testify about a God that you're not praying to I don't think you're going to testify about a God that you're you're not worshiping something begins to rise on the inside of her and she begins to declare I know a God and if you can get naming around my I'm telling you we have to unpack this she is a hostage she is a slave girl and yet she becomes a missionary and an evangelist and she begins to declare what God can do a slave girl is about to tell non how to be free a Slave slave girl is about to teach non about Liberty because non tells everybody what to do and they do it but leprosy won't listen it doesn't matter your status it doesn't matter what's in your bank account it doesn't matter what you have achieved or ascribed to there will always be something in life that you will have to surrender to in your own intellect in your own ability uh in your own rationale and logic but a slave girl has an understanding about who her God is she's been praying when nobody has been watching she's been worshiping Jehovah God when she could have abandoned him she has relational value with God therefore she can testify about God and name and believe it yes sir wasn't there a man in the New Testament that said the word of God is not bound I think perhaps maybe he said that when he was a prisoner it does not matter what is hijacking your faith it does not matter what is holding you hostage it does not matter if it's fear if it's trepidation if it's suicidal thinking if it is the woes of life I want you to understand while you may feel bound the word of God is not bound and that's why when Landon Gore does not feel anointed and that's why when Landon Gore feels a prisoner and held hostage by life I begin to to speak the word of the Lord uh because while I may be in fact bound uh the word of God is not bound a message is sent can I keep preaching just a few more minutes the Bible says a message is sent the king the king of Israel receives a message hey we're uh we're sending name to you the thug that came to your village and plunder everything and killed everybody and who he didn't kill he took captive uh we're sending we're sending him to you because we H we have heard uh that there is healing in your land and the Supernatural is in your land and notice the response of royalty uh royalty collapses oh no no no no no no fam this is a setup we cannot heal namon why are they sending nonon here this is a plot they're trying to hijack us they're trying to set us up Earthly royalty does not have the answers that Heavenly Divinity does our world is in a sin sick state but I want you to know that we have the ability uh to March boldly into the throne room of Grace and we can have an audience with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lord I'm telling you right now that slave girl had more faith than an Earthly King don't tell me you have to have everything together and perfect he had he had opulence he had position he had money and yet there was a slave girl that had nothing and her faith was more robust she had more tenacity she had more courage so the prophet says I know you don't have the answer send him to to me so here comes non with the Royal Entourage he shows up at the house and if you think nonon is Savage you just wait until you meet the prophet because you're not going to meet the prophet he doesn't even come out he sends out the junior Prophet amen I'm sorry that we don't have a welcome party for you in Kazo and balloon W but last time you came man you took half of us out and uh but hey the prophet told me to tell you what did the prophet tell me to tell you uh when is the yes okay yes the prophet told me to tell you sir uh please don't kill me sir uh you you need to go dip seven times in the muddy Jordan River sir yes sir now if I'm naming I'm like take this lightweight out put the laser on his heart take them out you you you going to tell me to go wash seven times in the do do you know who I am and so I think maybe now if you don't read the Bible with this imagination you just need to reread the Bible and the laning gore translation uh not yet on your Bible app is coming in 2026 maybe um I think he's got to go from this I'm about to kill you mod to I don't have time for you mode and and and he he's about to walk away from his Miracle because of dirt he's walked through Bloodshed he's walked through guts he's made it through all kinds of mess and yet he's about to miss his Miracle because of dirt our pride is not logical our pride is not logical have you ever noticed it can be a random Thursday and you just feel like binge buying you don't got the money in your bank but you got Amazon and you can scroll and you can fill a cart and you just feel like buying for no reason and you'll go into debt within two minutes but the moment we come into the house of God and the Lord puts a figure in our spirit and the moment we come into the house of God and the Lord says hey can you give this we start getting all financially astute our pride is not logical H have you ever noticed uh the things that we can go berserk about the things that we we can we can we can use all of our emotion on and yet when we come into the house of the Lord and we begin to give God Radical Praise demonstrative praise something in US says you you don't have to do all of that our pride is not logical I'm telling you non is about to miss his Miracle because of dirt and and this is how it starts I thought can I tell you about the chapters in my life that begin with those words I thought that God should have done this and I thought that God should have done that and I thought that God's thoughts should have uh really Incorporated my thoughts because my thoughts really could help his thoughts out I thought I um I thought that he really should have done it this way and I really thought life should have went this way and I thought and I and I thought is the beginning of so many chapters that have limited God can I tell you what God is wanting to do in your life is not going to be predicated on past paradigms past references and past limitations god um has the luxury not to make sense he Makes Miracles God is big bad sometimes he can be bougie and he really is good at being God and he is convinced that his ways are higher than your ways and if you try to plan your life and you try to plan your you will underplant it every single time because God will not lower his his ways to ours non is about to miss his Miracle because of dirt and it all begins with I thought this is the way it was supposed to happen but non had somebody in his life to provoke him now there are some people that will Pat you on the back all the way back home to leprosy but you need somebody that will provoke you non had somebody who respected him he said my father he said yo yo sir Padre hear me right now listen to me listen to me you're about to go home to leprosy you're already missing a piece of your knee you're already missing a piece of your ear you're already missing two toes you already got four fingers go you're going back home to loss you're going back home to lack you're going back home to a losing battle this is what I want you to screenshot in your spirit he said if the prophet would have asked you to do a great thing you would have flexed and done it I always thought that going and dipping in the Muddy River Jordan was just too inconvenient that nobody could do it it wasn't so hard that nobody could do it it was so easy that anybody could do it we will answer the call of great things but we will ignore the call to lesser things that lead to great things non had somebody that would be real with him and say ah I know you man I bro I know you he would have asked for 10,000 camels you would have flexed and you would have done it but all he asked was that you just go to the Muddy River Jordan and you wash for seven times but it's not that it's so big it's too small you know I uh in this season of my life I am learning that you cannot limit the supernatural to the spectacular wow there are people that are waiting for five prophets to say the same thing to see Three Angels and then to see two more Angels before they ever make a move and they incline their ear and they obey that still Small Voice that still Small Voice is not so distant that you can't hear it it's so close that you miss it it's that still Small Voice that beckons you closer and closer it's that still Small Voice there there's a there there is that still Small Voice I've realized that there's a whole lot in me that wants to do great things for God but unfortunately that passion canale when it comes to doing little things for God I believe in being passionate I believe in being radical but I have also learned in this season that it is easier to be extreme than consistent lord and there are people that will leave Cod orange Revival and they'll pray for three hours on Monday but then they won't Pray Again for five months hell is not afraid of people that want to binge the presence of God one day a week but then lack the nutrition of daily time that's where stamina comes from that's where nutrition comes from that's where strength comes from here a little there a little line upon line precept upon precept it's just a little coat for Samuel it's just a little honey for Jonathan it's just a little Cloud for gazi it's just a little cake of oil for the Widow it's just a little chamber for the prophet it's just a little L with fishes and Loaves but I'm telling you a little leads to a lot it was just a little ma that was in non's house but I'm telling you a little I'm we need a Revival of little by little I believe in the extreme I believe in the radical I believe in the seismic but we need members of this congregation we need men and women of God that says I want to pray a little extra right here I I'm going to sacrifice just a little more right here I I'm going to Incline to that still Small Voice can I keep preaching I'm almost done bethlehem's too little but how of bethlehem's going to come ruler don't you underestimate little by little compounding Progressive granular growth I want to preach to somebody that's perhaps only been living for Jesus for a few weeks or a few months I won't preach to somebody that perhaps you've just not been where you've been but but you started last week trying to trying to pray again trying to fast again trying to believe again trying to get back to righteousness and Holiness I'm telling you right now do do not let the enemy undermine your progress because it doesn't look like a lot I'm telling you there's a lot in a little little by little I will not be the same little by little this church will not be the same don't limit the supernatural to the spectacular not everything miraculous is instantaneous and just because it's a process does not make it any less Supernatural sometimes the Supernatural is super natural I'm talking about Monday Miracles sir not just Sunday thunder and lightning I'm talking about Tuesday testimonies I'm talking about Wednesday wonders I'm talking about you about to Le Starbucks but God gives you that still small directive to I feel the Holy Ghost right now to tell that Barista God loves you and God is with you it doesn't seem like a lot but I'm telling you that little word can turn into somebody being on this Pew rejoicing and praising God free of addiction uh free of anger all because you said yes that's still Small Voice I'm I'm trying to move on right now I'm trying to move on right now can we just lift up our hands I wonder if could just say yes right now it's it's not alter call yet but I wonder if we could just say yes to what God is wanting to speak I wonder if we could just say yes to what God is wanting to say God whatever you are asking of me in this season whatever you are requiring of me in this season I I just want you to know that I say yes I say yes to it I say yes to it I say yes to it I say yes to it I say yes to it musicians can come you can be seated for just a moment I'm I'm almost done I'm not done I just want you to think I'm done so I want the musicians to come and help me fake you out don't tell anybody I said that I uh I see name and I see name is this all right can can we finish out this story I see non at the brink of the Muddy River Jordan I think he's the Lord's still doing a work in his life people are watching non non non did non just come from the prophet's house yeah that's non has he died yet no no he he went to the prophet what did he he got a word from the Prophet come on did do you mean to tell me he got a word from the prophet yes I knew it he's probably going to be healed his life's probably going to be saved God doesn't love us anymore non does not deserve healing but I do not deserve wholeness and you do not deserve reconciliation and nobody in this room whether labeled a sinner or a saint deserves the unmar favor and grace of God extended into our life you ever read the Bible and you project yourself into the story I I I do all the time you should do it too here's the problem we always project ourselves as the coolest character every single one of us thinks that we are that girl that has the testimony none of us thinks that we are naming and yet most of us are there's a little bit of naming in all of us non doesn't deserve non doesn't deserve this but neither do you and neither do I and now non is at the brink of the Muddy River Jordan again he still got got issues he needs tissues for his issues he's probably narcissistic he's looking for his reflection and there ain't no reflection in the Muddy River Jordan and now now I'm telling you our Pride's not logical he's dipping his big toe in the Muddy River Jordan and he I don't know if I can do this I want you to do it for me non is used to having people do everything for him but Salvation is personal you cannot subcontract sacrifice and you cannot delegate a prayer life and you cannot ah it's cold orange Revival I'm might get in trouble can I just speak to some parents I I don't have a perfect mom and a perfect dad but I had a mother that was born and raised in church and and and her home life had some some heaven on Earth moments and it wasn't perfect but she was raised in church my my father he was raised outside of the church and there was a whole lot of Hell on Earth moments but they came together and they made a DE decision it doesn't matter the home that we were born into it matters the home that we build and it it it doesn't matter all the junk that we came from and it also sometimes you can't lean on all the the goodness that you came from but but something great and something wonderful and something spiritual has to come from you and so they made up in their mind that we're going to have a home where there's Godly music and we're going to have a home where there's prayer you know where I ran the aisles for the first time my house you know where I prayed around the table my house people think I grew up in church I didn't grow up in church I grew up in a house that took me to church and I'm preaching to somebody I didn't have perfect parents but I had a mom and dad that decided we are not going to subcontract our spirituality to the younger generation uh we are going to show them prayer and we are going to show them Jesus H and I just feel like preaching to a mom and a dad you may say I don't have biological children in this room there are spiritual children in this room and they are watching how you worship or don't worship they are watching your pettiness or your Purity they are wa they are watching the spirituality or the carnality that exudes from your life they're watching what you do and they're watching what you don't do you do realize you are the church the church is not some Theory out in The Ether the church is not the ceiling it's not the walls it's not the Lords the church is you so that means if you are not praying the church is not praying that means if you are rebellious the church is rebellious that means if you are carnal the church is carnal because you and I are the church nameen I'm sorry you can't you can't have somebody do this for you you have to do it for yourself so he steps in and go deep he he he steps in knee deep he steps in Waist Deep it's now to his elbows it's it's to his shoulders he's in the Muddy River Jordan ah this is gross he dips his head down one time and he comes up out of the water I did it y'all can y'all give a slow clap for non a really awkward slow clap for non one time but then he does it again twice three times you can start playing I'm still not done I just I just want them to think I'm done where are we at three times four times and now this is where North American Christianity finds itself four times I've done it more than I haven't done it and I've also can find somebody else that I've done it more than North American Christianity is based on comparison to other people of the religions other dogmas rather than alignment with the word of God I don't have have I I don't have to have done enough as long as I've done more than you now my conscience can be soothed by comparison with you rather than comparison with the word four times I done it more than her and I've done it more than him do you know what they done have five times six times this is really a picture of discipleship because I think that I think that friend that provoked him to step into the water was the same friend that said don't get out yet don't get out yet don't get out just at repentance don't don't don't get out just at water baptism don't don't don't get out at the infilling of the spirit no no no no no no no don't get out yet whatever the word is what's the word seven times on the seventh time you don't realize it yet but you're going to come out and your skin is going to be as the skin of a little child a little Nate a little CH little by little on the other side of complete obedience it's complete transformation name am you're not just about to be healed or reformed you are about to be transformed that's what makes the gospel so unique I thank God for Earthly programs that are trying to help in the best way possible but we do not offer Reformation the gospel offers transformation the renewing of our mind the renewing of our marriages the renewing of our holistic self our families our babies our homes an nameen goes down on that seventh time comes out of the water mudds in his ears caked in his eyes he's looking for the Gatorade towel and he can't see but the servant W I'm telling you this is a picture of discipleship the servant says oh God oh God he doesn't see it non non n my boy non open your eyes I got mudy my I got I got non open your eyes man open your eyes nen open your eyes all things are passed away behold look pay attention all things have become new Namy you got your ear back Namy you got your four fingers back Namy you got your sanity back name you got oh do you remember the moment when you didn't have to earn it you didn't have to perform for it but you just obeyed the word of God stand with me and you have the decision that every one of us has what do you do when your experiences what do you do when your life decisions what do you do when your family traditions do not match the word of God you can lower the word of God down to your experiences and your decisions or you can raise your decisions and you can raise your life into alignment with his word non's non has been restored non has been made new I I'll never forget praying with a man named Arash he's from Afghanistan he was suicidal life was hopeless leprosy comes in many different forms leprosy comes in many different ways sometimes it shows up on the exterior sometimes it shows up on the interior but leprosy comes to all of us he was in a service and he said I want you to pray for me so you know what I did I made a really stupid M oh we are on live stream we don't won say stupid in our home I'm sorry mother he made a very can we cut that out thank you so much you know save my relationship with my dear Mother uh I made a very unwise decision I prayed a cute prayer a diplomatic prayer a nice we're at church and we're about to leave prayer so Lord I pray that you'd favor a Raj I pray that you would bless him I pray that you would touch him nothing wrong with those things but when when you got leprosy you need more than favor when you got leprosy you need more than a new job people will change their job their cars their clothes they'll change churches without ever changing their heart and without ever changing their minds if you got leprosy I don't have leprosy well sometimes leprosy is not called leprosy sometimes it's called Pride sometimes it's called unforgiveness sometimes it's called pettiness sometimes it's called Discord some sometimes it's called jadedness sometimes it's called cynicism sometimes it's just called prayerlessness sometimes it's called compromise sometimes it's called Selfish living it comes in many different ways many different forign many different names you you need more than just a few songs and a nice cute spiritual Ted Talk you need more than just favor and no you need transformation they began to tell me his life I went back to him the next service I said Arash please forgive me you need the holy spirit of God in you can I pray for you he said yes I laid my hands on him he began to speak in tongues and I'll never forget his first words after receiving the gift of God's spirit for the very first time D he said he said I don't feel feel like I'm 45 anymore he said I feel like I'm one years old cuz only the other side of obedience is a new beginning non runs back to the prophet he saids can you got Apple pay you got venmo you got PayPal what you got famil I got to give you something but he was about to learn that you can't pay for something that's priceless and the moment that I can put a price on what God is doing is the moment that I value it too low says all right I'm going back to opulence I'm going back to the Palace I'm going back to royalty but if you'll just let me take some dirt home I just want to take some of this with me I I want to share I want to share it tomorrow in Chapel so I'm not going to share too many details here but I uh I could tell you story after story of how many God moments took place in my house I'm a firm believer that everything that happens in this house has to get to your house the
