Welcome to Strong Tower Youth Camp 2024!

I cannot tell you the expectancy in my spirit for what the Lord Jesus Christ is about to do in this house tonight does anybody feel the tangible witness of God's presence that's permeating this atmosphere I feel it in this house tonight I am in a hotel just about every weekend I'm in an Uber normally about every weekend and I'm in a airport and an airplane just about every weekend so I was making my way back to Dallas which is home for me it was a Monday and I'm not going to I'm going to be real with you tonight your boy was tired your boy was wore out I had the airpods um in in in my ear I had noise cancelling on I didn't want to talk to anybody beside me on the plane and your your boy was uh just I was a little hangry if I can be honest with you tonight and so I begin to deduce and calculate when the plane would land and I thought I don't have a check bag I just have a carry-on and if I land and go ahead and order the Uber before I even get to the sidewalk I can jump in the Uber and I have just enough time to make it to this Mediterranean food place for dinner and it'll I'll have just enough margin before they close so I had it all plotted out I landed I ordered my Uber they've got this really amazing feature on Uber if you like it's like this bougie option if you pay a few more dollars you can tell them if you want the AC on or off and you can you can even choose quiet or talkative I will let you discern in the spirit what I chose your boy was not in the mood to talk I got in the Uber my dude did not see the notification he was in a mood to talk we got all the way to Dallas it was a 45 minute Saga of him talking mostly and me trying to stay Christlike on a Monday and I got to my apartment I got my carry-on I'm looking for my Honda Accord Sport and we are going to have Mediterranean food for dinner but my car was not there now I need to know if yall want to hear the rest of this story because I get really insecure when people Bell on my story so okay thank you thank you for your extra affirmation I'm I'm thinking okay I guess I just parked it on the other side of the apartment complex so I Circle the parking lot no car it's Monday I must be tired I probably look right past my car so I Circle again no car now I'm beginning to consider that this may be spiritual warfare and the devil has stolen my car I look one more time my car is not there and then I get the Revelation that I had parked my car at the airport now I'm a preacher so you know I'm about to make this spiritual I want you to imagine with me in dramatic irony that I am standing on the sidewalk of the airport ordering an Uber and waiting for someone to take me to a place that I have keys and a car to go myself and now I need to pose this question to you on the last night of strong tower why would you wait on anybody else to take you to to a place that you have faith and praise and prayer and worship to go yourself I wish you would just look at your neighbor and tell them the key is in your hand on Thursday night I want you to turn to your other neighbor the one you just awkwardly rejected and I want you to tell them we're going to go somewhere tonight in the spirit tell them emphatically with Faith infused words we're going to go somewhere tonight in the spirit would you go with me to the Book of Matthew chapter 8 The Book of Matthew chapter 8 beginning at verse 23 The Book of Matthew chapter 8: 23 while you're going there I would be remiss not to give honor um to the leadership of this um great event and this great week this is my first time so I told you I don't got much street cred but it's my second time preaching so I got a little bit more street cred um I have been so overwhelmed by the spirit of Excellence um that has been exhibited through the sacrifice and the planning and the intentionality of your leadership and it has been a joy to come alongside uh brother Zach and his wife and the Stellar team that stands beside them and to just see their heart to make this a reality um and I I want to say from the bottom of my heart thank you for allowing me to come and to be a part of this to partner with brother Porterfield can you give it up just one more time for brother and sister Hammond and the entire team can we give it up for Mars Hill Campus and all of their staff can you give it up for every Pastor every youth leader that has sponsored you driven you sent you I give honor to the great church in mville I give honor to the aljc district I give honor to brother and sister Carpenter uh they have been uh so gracious to be my Uber this week and we've had such an amazing time um and my heart is full my heart is full I'm just so grateful I want to go to the word of the Lord tonight and I just believe that the Lord is going Amen amen if you're just saying Amen to say Amen would you say Amen I'm judging you I am judging you right now no apologies Matthew 8:23 Matthew 8:23 now when Jesus got into the boat the Bros the disciples followed him and suddenly there was a great storm that arose on the sea so that the boat was covered with the waves but the rabbi the master Jesus Christ was snoozing he was asleep so the Bros came to him and awoke him saying Lord save us uh we're over here about to die and he said unto them why are ye fearful oh you of little faith then he arose and he rebuked the winds and and the sea I wonder if he was stretching his back and yawning as he is doing this and the Bible says where there had previously been a great storm now there is a great calm so the men marveled saying who can this be that even the winds and the waves and the water and the lightning and the Thunder they even oey him and when he had come to the other side to the country of gasin or gadera or decapus there met him two someone say two demon possessed someone say oh they got issues someone say they need tissues for their issues he met two possessed with Devils coming out of the tombs exceeding Fierce so that no one would even pass by them but Jesus is not just anyone Jesus will do what you cannot do Jesus will do what others can do but won't do Jesus will do what only Jesus has the authority and the jurisdiction and the Dominion to do our Bible tells us that where the spirit of the Lord is there is Liberty more accurate translation of that Passage would be this where the spirit has lordship that's where there is liberty and I've come to preach the lordship of Jesus Christ tonight by the help of God's spirit and I do need his Spirit tonight I want to preach to you on this simple subject Cloudy with a chance of rain Cloudy with a chance of rain would you turn to your neighbor and would you tell them I check the forecast it's cloudy with a chance of rain turn to your other neighbor tell them I I check the weather it's just a little cloudy but there's a chance of rain one more time because I agree with your faith tonight and I want you to agree with my faith would you just lift up your hands one more time and would you lift up your voice One More Time come on I I believe in your agreement I believe in your faith God thank you for my brothers and my sisters thank you for God every new face that I have met this week thank you God for friends that I've been able to see again thank you for my brothers and my sisters in Christ God I believe that you do all things well let let tonight give you all glory and all praise let the best gifts be in operation tonight and if there should be anybody left that has not been filled with your spirit fill them tonight should there be anybody that has hesitated to be baptized in the name of Jesus let them be baptized tonight if there's anybody that still has sickness in their body let your healing virtue overwhelm the sickness and overturn the disease and do what only you can do tonight and somebody say in Jesus name somebody shout in Jesus name Jus if you didn't believe that prayer you are exempt from clapping but if it was more than protocol and you believe God heard you and you believe God is going to resp on to you would you just take 20 more seconds and give God a loud Ovation of praise and would you raise the decibal level while you do it God bless you and you may be seated tonight it is not an invitation it is not an inquiry or a question it is a demand it is a command Jesus is looking at those closest to him the Bros the disciples and he lets them know that today is the day that they are going to the other side I need you to understand what the other side is with our Western mindset and our 21st century lens we miss the Nuance of what the other side truly means it is gines it is gadera it is decapolis it is quite literally the land of the cast out ones it is where wickedness lives it is where the heathens roam it is the capital of darkness and decadence no doubt in their Jewish upbringing the disciples have heard from their mama you can visit your cousins in capernium and you can go say hi to the fam bam inass but if I ever boy if I ever found out you went to the capitalist I'm going to your mom ever just paused and forget what she was going to do you just knew she would do it when she remembered this is foreign to their Jewish ears possibly that that they're going to go to the capis they're going to go where they have not been before Jesus is going to go where he has not yet tried perhaps their Paradigm is limited perhaps they question if Jesus should really go to decapolis but they are about to find out that the jurisdiction of Jesus Christ does not end where their limitations begin he is not getting ready to expand his authority he is getting ready to shatter their expectation and perception of his authority Jesus is getting ready to go where they quite possibly have not yet been before he is getting ready to defy the odds he is getting ready to shatter boundaries but he demands that they step in to the deep I think it's quite interesting that they actually have the ability to make it to their same destination by foot if you look at it geography if you look at it geographically is that how you say it Thursday night is hitting hard y'all they have the ability to walk to their same destination by foot and circle around the deep and circle around the Sea of Galilee but Jesus does not allow them to circle around what they are supposed to step into I did not come to preach to shallow North American checkin check out Sunday only Christians I didn't come to preach the Pentecostals propped on a Pew I did not come to preach to apathetic apostolics that want to just Ooze from Sunday to Sunday service to service conference to conference I came to preach uh to the young man uh to the young lady H that says I feel H that deep is calling to deep Dallas Jesus looks at the disciples and he said I need you to let the dead bury their dead telling me that if you were going to step into a deep place you are going to have to leave death behind you you want the Deep things of God leave dead Church behind you leave dead hypocrisy behind you leave dead carnal thinking behind you leave I'm telling you on the last night of strong tower deep is compelling you deep is inviting you deep is asking you to RSVP for the Deep they cannot circle around and circum vent what they are supposed to step into so it was then so it is now Chloe the Lord is not going to allow us to circle around discipleship the Lord is not going to allow us to circle around sanctification Scotty the Lord is not going to allow us to circle around discipline and write decisions the Lord is not going to allow us to circle around a prayer life the Lord is not going to to let you circle around what the elders dove into the Lord is not going to allow I feel my help on a Thursday night the Lord is not going to let you Sid step what the previous generation stepped into get in the boat get the yeti get the Gatorade get the snacks just get in the boat we're going to do what he says we're going to go to the other side and as they make their way to the other side plop plop it's raining should have known this would happen the clouds are Brewing Thunder is striking lightning is hitting and the disciples are in the middle of a stinking storm and the rabbi is snoring what is life right now bro you wake them up no no no you wake them up no no I I took a vote with me myself and I it was unanimous I think you should wake him up just just we're Lord uh Lord Lord Lord Lord Lord my Lord I need you to wake up cuz we about to die and I ain't ready to die I need to tell mama I love her one more time Lord save us we perish they are rocking to and fro not only in the boat but in their faith they are leaning on their own understanding and they are leaning upon a fishing boat that is top sea Turvy but while their faith is shaking it has not been fully shaken because even while someone is about to die they have not surrendered lordship can I let you overhear some of my prayers oh uh no no no what I mean is can I let you in on some of my prayers and you not judge me I am not convinced um I need to know that I can be real with you and you not judge me now somebody you brought your fake Halos back I need you to take your fake Halo off put it under your seat eat go home and burn it I couldn't have preach the real people tonight this is how some of my prayers sound like I don't understand you Lord why couldn't you have done it this way Lord I think maybe I could give you some advice on how to be Lord know what I'm thinking Lord I don't know why you have not answered my prayer yet and I'm a little angry at you right now Lord but but I have made a cognizant decision no matter how loud the Thunder no matter how seismic the waves I refuse to take him off the throne and when I take him off the throne I will enthrone him he inhabits the Praises of his people this is more than hype this is more than Dance I'm letting cancer know he's still on the throne I'm letting divorce know he's still on the throne uh I'm letting generational dysfunction know he's still on the throne I'm letting anxiety know my feelings are not Lord the unknown is not Lord my personality type is not Lord there is one Lord and I am not him I give you 10 seconds just to wave your hand to Heaven I give you 10 seconds just to wiggle your toes move your feet and tell him you're still Lord of my life you are still Lord in my life I know it rains on the just and the the unjust but he still Reigns in the just and in the unjust Lord save us we're about to die what if I die in the Deep what if I die in the Deep I don't know if I can be spiritual like him I don't know if I can be a foxhole friend and a battle brother I don't know if I can be like her I don't know if I'm I'm an intercessor I I don't know about all the spiritual stuff what if what if I die out in the Deep what if you die on land I've seen way more people sink in the shallows of carnality than I have sink in the depths of the spirit can I preach just a few more minutes anybody remember the story of when Jesus began to walk on water and there was one disciple B old enough to say if that is really you I want you to compel me and so Jesus Christ compels him to walk on water and the Bible says that that disciple begins to walk on water but we ain't clapping cuz we know what happens next it's very anti-climatic the Bible says we know it he began to sink why wow cringy awkward not cool bro but the Bible doesn't say that he sunk the Bible says that he began to sink Jackson beginning the sink is not the same thing as sunk David said my foot almost slip but then I made it into the house of I almost backslid but I didn't backslide I almost gave into cynicism but I didn't give into cynicism I almost took my life but I I need somebody to celebrate about some stuff you almost did but you didn't do the Bible says he began to sink but before he sunk the hand of Jesus Christ reached down and gripped his hand and pulled him back up and this is my favorite part now he's walking where he used to sink now he's standing it's the will of God that you leave Strong Tower and where you used to click you're going to have boundaries where you used to relapse you're going to walk in Dem no you're not hearing me I don't care that Daddy sunk there I don't care that Mama sunk there you can walk where the devil said you would sink you can walk where the devil said you would sink and you begin to sink but beginning to sink is not the same thing is suck are you alive are you here anybody drowned you didn't sink I'm tripping doesn't mean that I'm sinking my steps are ordered by the Lord my steps are ordered by the Lord my I'm a little weary but I haven't sunk I'm a little tired but I haven't sunk I don't have it all figured out but I have not sh I need my guys to help me where are my guys I need my guys to help me hurry hurry hurry hurry can I preach it a few more minutes musicians come I'm not done I just want everyone to think I'm done this is Jesus cuz y'all know Jesus be wearing pinstripe robes y'all give it up for Jesus y'all give it up for the Bros the Bible says that Jesus is in the middle of the storm with his disciples they mad cuz they they in the middle of a storm but what they don't know is that they are in the middle of a storm on the way to a storm Jesus Christ in his sovereignty has allowed them to go through a storm on the outside to get to a storm on the inside this is bigger than you before you think you can miss the last shout and miss the last Ultra call and miss the last Deliverance this is bigger than you somebody beside you somebody around you needs your shout they going through a storm what they don't know that the crosshairs of Jesus Christ are upon a man that has been living in the tombs his life is a 247 cycle of Shame and regret and anger and suicidal thinking bro you looking too GQ right now um can I mess up your hair bro that hair still looks the same can we take off like half your jacket just half of it half of it can we take off that shoe no rush but rush we got a casualty on L9 bro don't be dramatic you just doing that for the girl watching you pray something somebody is watching you in your storm because this is bigger than you you know what I think happened I think he looked out of that cave and he saw a boat in the middle of a storm Chris this is not a savior to him this is a stranger to him he cannot hear what Jesus is saying but he can see the effects of what he is saying just because I do not hear God's voice in my life does not stop me from looking where's he going to move where's he going to move where is he going to move sees a shadowy figure stand up in the middle of the that boat and begins to point to that storm he sees his mouth begin to move he does not hear what Jesus is saying all he knows is when that mouth stops moving and that finger comes down where there has been a great storm there is now a great calm I respect this man of God God right here because he did not shy away from communicating the great storm that has taken place but I also respect this man of God because he did not stop with the great storm but he told you about a great PE because heaven will never be outdone by hell where're sin abounds Grace does much if there's great wickedness in your family there can be great Revival if there's great sin in your school there can be a great Deliverance oh you don't know the stats in my high school you don't know about the stats in my County I know a God that's greater than the stats he is the Lord of all or he is not Lord at all I know a Lord that Reigns over generational patterns He reigns over can I preach this a few minutes are you are you too tight hred yet late I think something rose up on the inside of that mad man I think something on the inside begin to pulsate and compound into a culminating Revelation and this is what I think the grand finale of that Revelation was if that man has authority over a storm on the outside I wonder if he has authority over a storm on the in if the waves have to obey him I wonder if Trump has to obey him if the Thunder has to obey him I wonder if every spirit of fear let me go ahead and tell you yes yes yes I check the weather and the king is still raining the Bible says he ran to the feet of Jesus he ran to the feet of Jesus I felt him at Strong Tower I don't hear him right now but I heard him instruct let me take you to the last miracle because the last miracle is never the last miracle let me take you to the last healing what do y'all call this week what do y'all call this Camp the name of the Lord is a strong tower we get to run into it so strong tower is two things it's location but it's also identification so when I leave the location I still have identification I can call on him on a Tuesday I can call on him Thursday all hell is breaking loose Strong Tower is not Mars Hill Campus it's not just a location it's not just where you got the Holy Ghost Strong Tower is an identification Jesus Jesus Jesus I'm not in Mar's Hill anymore the Bible says that man is at the feet of Jesus he's CL fix your hair put on your jacket the Bible says he's clothed he's at the feet of Jesus and he's in his right mind you know why hell is afraid of what happens at this Camp cuz we don't just shout come on come on there's some things that you can't shout your way out of you got to live your way into and you got to make right decisions and you got to have a right posture and you got to change how you talk and how you walk stands up and he gives Jesus a hug this could be Jesus's newest disciple everybody say a someone say that's so special special hasht happppy for our friend hashtag used to be out there hash had issued for days hash but then he met Jesus he wants to go with him everywhere and Jesus looks at him and he says something that sounds like demotion but in reality it's promotion it's one of the most Grace infused statements in all of your Bible Jesus looks at that man and says go home because the Deliverance was never supposed to stay at Mars Hill I don't know if home is Hell on Earth or Heaven on Earth but everything that happened in this house is going to go with you to your house look at your neighbor and say we're going home look at your neighbor and say we're going home look at your other neighbor and tell them you're going home this is what I need you to hear this is what I need you to understand this is what I need you to know when Jesus looked at that man and said go home was telling him the tombs are not home just because you have been living there doesn't mean you have to stay there cor some brother Porterfield some of them don't even know what's about to happen they're about to go back home who is it it's me you're supposed to be dead you should have sunk a long time ago but on Sunday you're getting ready to run where you used to stare on Monday you're getting ready to pray where you used to scroll singers get ready the terror of the town is about to become the testimony of the name all because there was a man who went through a storm to get to his storm I don't care who your idol is I don't care who your crush is I don't care who your celebrity is only Jesus will go through a storm to get to one nobody got close to you nah fam nobody got close to me the only thing that came near me was pigs and Jesus don't you forget the man Christ Jesus that came running towards you when everybody else was mocking you when everybody else was judging you when everybody else was you don't got to be on their Instagram green list story friends if he knows you uh and if he loves you uh he is all need Bible said there's a whole community that comes out they're mad about their pigs there is a whole village a whole city a whole County a whole region that does not want Jesus to stay but there is one singular soul that the crosshairs of Christ have been
