Summary
Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
Have You Heard What the Lord Has Done?
- God's reputation goes before His people: Jericho had already heard what the Lord had done, and its courage melted before any battle was joined.
- Rahab heard the report of God's works, believed it, hid the spies, and pled for her father's house to be spared.
- A good reputation strengthens every message a brand delivers; the church must likewise keep telling the world what the Lord has done.
- Rahab knew God's people were the victors before the battle was done, because she had heard what the Lord had done already.

Two Reports from the Same Land
- Forty years earlier, the spies brought back the fruit of the land, but ten negative voices magnified the giants and the walled cities.
- Caleb stilled the people and urged them to go up at once and possess the land, for they were well able to overcome it.
- A few negative voices can delay a whole people from achieving their potential in God.
- Victim mentality — blaming others, learned helplessness, and resignation — is an acquired excuse that keeps believers from taking the land.
- When God gives a command, the command of God is to be obeyed.
Scriptures: Numbers 13:26; Numbers 13:27-28; Numbers 13:30; Numbers 13:31-32
Walk Six Days, Then Shout
- Joshua learned from Moses' mistake: instead of a committee of twelve, he handpicked two spies who would tell him the truth.
- Israel compassed Jericho once a day for six days in obedience; on the seventh day the priests blew the trumpets and the people shouted, for the Lord had given them the city.
- The preacher recalls a 2008 visit to Israel, standing at Jericho and reading the second chapter of Acts in a room designated as the upper room.
- Believers overcome the accuser of the brethren by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.

Well, Lord bless you. You may move to your seats. Again, I say welcome to First Apostolic Church. It is always an honor and a privilege to be together with my family, the people of First Apostolic Church. I give honor to our leadership, to Bishop and Sister McCool, to my wife, to our pastoral staff. And I would join with the voices that have gone before. All I can say is what a mighty word of the Lord we heard this morning. Thank you, Pastor Whitley, for preaching the word. And now He said he it wasn't in his notes. It might not have been in his notes, but he was right on time and right on track for what he had to preach today. >> >> And you noticed that a common theme we've been hearing in several of our services recently, God has been leading us not because we have collaborated intentionally, but God has been leading us to be reminded of the opportunity that we have to know the precious salvation message and to spread the word. I'm I'm thankful for that. And thank you, Pastor Whitley, for letting the Holy Ghost use you in a mighty way. >> >> We give honor to all the saints. I welcome those who are joining us online. Thank you for being in service with us tonight. And I'm excited about getting into the word of the Lord. Calling your attention tonight to the book of Joshua, the second chapter, Joshua chapter two. Uh Uh I I know that there are those among us who uh >> >> we have a particular interest sometimes in the literature or some of the things that we entertain ourselves with with or even with the news. We like a good spy story. >> >> So we're going to we're going to get into a little spy mystery tonight if that's all right. The book of Joshua, the second chapter. We're going to begin reading in verse number one and Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly saying, "Go view the land, even Jericho." And they went and came into an harlot's house named Rahab and lodged there. And it was told the king of Jericho saying, "Behold, there came men in hither tonight of the children of Israel to search out the country." And the king of Jericho sent unto Rahab saying, "Bring forth the men that are come to thee, which are entered into thine house, or they be come to search out all the country." And the woman took the two men and hid them and said thus, "There came men unto me, but I wist not whence they were." For a few moments I would speak to you on this subject tonight, "Have you heard what the Lord has done? Have you heard what the Lord has done?" Let's pray. Savior, we're grateful for your mighty word and your holy presence that we've experienced in this service already. Lord, now as we study your word, let it encourage and strengthen us. Speak to our hearts. Give us guidance direction. Most of all, lead us to salvation. We thank you for this opportunity in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen and amen. Have you heard what the Lord has done? A good reputation is essential in advertising because it supports the credibility and the effectiveness of every message that a particular brand delivers. When consumers already trust a company based on their past experiences the consistency of quality or a positive public perception they're far more likely studies say to accept the advertising claims of the genuine rather than dismiss it as hyperbole. Brand loyalty is a consumer habit of committing to repeatedly buying a specific brand instead of choosing competitive alternates, even others that might be cheaper or more convenient. And over time a solid reputation amplifies advertising to the point that it is encouraged by word-of-mouth advocacy as some advertisers would call it. In other words, if you're using a particular brand and whatever we would refer to after a while you start telling other folks about it. Hey, have you heard about this brand? Have Have you heard about uh about how effective is it? You've got this problem, here's the answer. You need to try this brand. It's uh a word-of-mouth. Have you heard what it will do? In athletics, a good reputation of being a winner and being successful is important to the point that having a winning reputation sometimes becomes even an intimidation factor before a game is ever played. They just know that team is good and they're intimidated when they play them before the game ever starts. One's reputation is important in the world in which we live. But in transition to the text that we read, we find a particular account that I would call your attention to of Joshua and the people of Israel. For Joshua and you who are Bible readers, scholars already know the story of Jericho, but I would revisit to this point for us to realize a few things that the battle of Jericho, such as some would call it, was the first act recorded in the Bible after Moses' death. Be reminded that Moses and the people of God had been promised the promised land. However, Moses had listened to 10 negative dissenting spies before and the voices of those 10 negative spies had influenced him as a leader to not allow the people of God to enter into the promised land and consequently they would wander in the wilderness for 40 years. Moses would get to see the promised land, but because he had not followed God's direction and listened to the dissenting voices, would see the promised land, but he would never touch it. Now, Moses has died and Joshua is the new leader of God's people. And I submit to you Joshua has learned from Moses' mistakes. Instead of putting together a committee of 12, Joshua handpicked two spies to send them into Jericho, one of the walled cities that likely they had spied out some 40 years earlier. Understand, it would only be Joshua and Caleb who had still survived a generation of dissenters. And Joshua said, "Forget this democratic majority rule business. I'm going to handpick two spies that'll tell me the truth, and I'm going to send them into Jericho to see what's going on." He sent them on a reconnaissance mission. The Bible said they were spies. They entered into Jericho, and they entered in to the house of Rahab. Scripture calls Rahab a harlot. She was an innkeeper, and she had a house likely of ill repute. This place was a a place that would apparently was visited frequently by travelers, and was less likely to draw the attention of two more going in to her house. Yet, when they entered into this house, they began asking questions, and the king of Jericho heard word that there were two spies from Israel that were in their community, and he sent word for Rahab to tell him where they were. And Rahab, understanding the situation, hid them, and would not tell the king where they were. She gave misinformation. She was willing to risk all to protect her family and herself. But how did Rahab know that these men represented what would be her safety and salvation? Well, let me read you a few more passages of scripture. For our title is Have you heard what the Lord has done? Joshua 2:8 says, "And before they were laid down speaking to the spies, she came up unto them upon the roof." Apparently, she hid them in a safe place on the roof of this place. Now, if you take the time to read it all, you'll find that Rahab's house was part of the wall of Jericho. She had apparently a room with a view that looked out and and it was part of the wall, and she had hid them there. And she said unto the men, "I know that the Lord hath given you the land. And that your terror is fallen upon us. And that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you. For we have heard underline it, italicize it, put it in parentheses, put it IN BOLD BOLDFACE PRINT, and get you a yellow high mark highlight marker and mark it. We've heard what the Lord has done. It said, "For we have heard how the LORD DRIED UP THE WATERS of the Red Sea for you, and when you came out of Egypt, what you did unto the two kings of the Amorites that were ON THE OTHER SIDE of Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed. And as soon as we heard these things, our heart did melt. Neither did there remain any more courage in any man because of you, FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD, he is the God in heaven above and in earth beneath." She revealed that very likely Jericho, 40 years ago, was ready for the taking. Had Moses JUST LISTENED TO THE POSITIVE VOICES THAT WERE obeying God, 40 years ago, their reputation was already there. They had already heard what the Lord had done. God's word had gotten out. His victories HAD GOTTEN OUT. THEY HEARD IT CAUSED their hearts TO MELT. THEY SAID, "TERROR IS COMING. THEN habitance of the land, they faint. Uh there's no more courage in ANY MAN. YOUR GOD IS ABOVE ALL GODS." HAVE YOU heard what the Lord has done? What a reputation. You think a reputation and the advertising is important? Let me tell you, we need to be telling more OF THIS WORLD WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE. IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO LET THIS WORLD KNOW WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE. HAD THEY LISTENED 40 YEARS EARLIER, THEY COULD HAVE TAKEN JERICHO because the Lord's reputation was already there. Let me tell you, beware of the power of negative voices in your life. Be careful of listening to dissenting voices according to what God has done and what he's going to do. If we go back and review when the 12 spies were chosen to go into the promised land, they were assigned to spy out the land and they spied out for 40 days, scripture tells us. And when they came back to Moses and to Aaron, now, you know, I'm still telling you this spy mystery, you know, we're doing a flashback now. Stay with me. So, they went and came to Moses. Numbers 13:26 says, "And they went and came to Moses and to Aaron and to all the congregation of the children of Israel under the wilderness of Paran to Kadesh and brought back word unto them and unto all the congregation and showed them the fruit of the land. And they told him and said, "We came into the land where that thou sentest us and surely it floweth with milk and honey and this is the fruit of it." They had an assortment of the fruits of the promised land. And had they stopped at verse 27 with saying, "Hey, God told us to spy it out. This is what's going on. Let's go take this place." But there were negative voices. Verse 28 says, "Nevertheless nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land and THE CITIES ARE WALLED AND VERY GREAT. MOREOVER, we saw the children of Anak there and the Amalekites dwell in the land of the south and the Hittites and the Jebusites and the Amorites dwell in the mountains and the Canaanites dwell by the sea and by the coasts of Jordan." Now, understand Joshua was one of the two positive voices. The other voice was that of Caleb. And notice verse 30, it says, "And Caleb stilled the people before Moses." That means when they started giving this report of all the inhabitants of the land that CALEB SAID, "HEY, LISTEN A MINUTE." AND SAID, "LET US GO UP AT ONCE AND POSSESS IT FOR WE ARE WELL ABLE TO OVERCOME IT." OH, HAD THEY ONLY been willing to listen to the TWO SPIES THAT SAW VICTORY AHEAD. THE THE rumors were already out. THAT JERICHO ALREADY KNEW. LOOK OUT, those Israelites. God's already parted the Red Sea for them. They've already been delivered from Egypt. Every place they they PUT THEIR FOOT, GOD HAS GIVEN THEM VICTORY. JERICHO WAS READY FOR THE TAKING. THE WALLED CITIES WERE READY TO BE DEFEATED 40 years earlier. But the men that went up with him said, "We be not able to go up against the people for they are stronger than we." Just whose side are you on anyway? Just whose side ARE YOU ON? ARE YOU ON THE LORD'S SIDE? ARE YOU GOING TO JUDGE WHAT YOU SEE? ARE YOU GOING TO JUDGE WHAT GOD HAS PROMISED YOU? And they brought up an evil report of the land which they'd searched of the children saying, "The land through which we have gone to search it is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof. And all the people that we saw in the land are men of great stature." I've got a feeling these giants that they were seeing might have been in their mind. Everybody's bigger than us. Everybody's greater than us. You see, THEIR OWN SELF-AWARENESS IN their mind had become negative. THOSE 10 SAW everybody as being bigger than them, stronger than them, and more powerful than them. Let me tell you in the house tonight, BEFORE YOU START GIVING A NEGATIVE REPORT, would you remember WHO'S ON YOUR SIDE and whose side YOU'RE ON? IF YOU'RE ON THE LORD'S SIDE, YOU'RE IN THE MAJORITY. YOU'RE THE BIG CHEESE, IF you will. You're bigger than ANYTHING THAT CAN COME IN YOUR WAY. YOU SEE, THEIR GOD WAS BIGGER THAN ANY OF THOSE CITIES. HIS REPUTATION WAS ALREADY AROUND. Rahab said as much. She said, "We've heard what the Lord has done." But sadly, a few negative voices can delay a whole people from achieving their potential in God. WHEN GOD SAYS YOU CAN, DO IT. WHEN GOD SAYS TAKE IT, TAKE IT. WHEN GOD GIVES A COMMAND, YOU OBEY the command of God. Remember, we zoom back ahead now for Joshua has learned a lesson. He's picked his own spies. So, their interaction with Rahab was this. She let them know of the reputation of their God and what they had heard. But she realized that through this reputation, there was revelation of salvation for her and her family. If we'll just be what God calls us to be, the reputation not of us, but of our God will be bring revelation to those who are looking for salvation. For you see, HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED. JOSHUA 2:12, "NOW THEREFORE, I pray you, swear unto me by the Lord, since I have showed you kindness." She starts cutting a deal with the spies. "That you will also show kindness unto my father's house and give me a true token." In other words, Rahab's already got more faith than the 10 negative voices had for 40 years. She said, "I know what's going to happen. I I KNOW WHAT'S COMING. LET ME TELL YOU, BEFORE YOU MAKE IT UP IN YOUR MIND that the world won't receive the message, THERE'S A LOT OF THE WORLD JUST WAITING ON SOMEBODY TO SHOW UP AND TELL THEM THE TRUTH. THEY'RE READY TO ACCEPT IT." BROTHER WHITLEY PREACHED IT THIS MORNING. THIS ONE AND THAT ONE AND THAT ONE AND THIS ONE. HEAR ME TODAY. THIS WORLD IS HUNGRY. THIS WORLD'S LOOKING FOR SOMEBODY THAT'LL SHOW UP AND SAY, "I'VE GOT DELIVERANCE FOR YOU. I KNOW YOUR GOD is real. I I just need a little bit of direction here." She said, "Give me a true token that you will save alive my father, my mother, my brethren, my sister, and all that they have, and deliver our lives from death." And that the men answered the two spies said, "Our lives are yours. You've saved our lives. If you utter not this our business." Said, "If you'll keep the message quiet, it shall be when the Lord hath given us the land that we will deal kindly and truly with thee." Then she let them down by a cord through the window of her house. For her house was up on the town wall, and she dwelt upon the wall. You see, if we'll just learn to depend on the greatness of our God, He's already got a reputation. If we'll just obey Him and trust in His word, our families will be saved. Rahab, matter of factly, knew that Joshua and God's people were the victors before the battle was done. She had heard what the Lord had done already. Let me tell you, if we'll stop TELLING EVERYBODY WHAT WE'VE done and tell everybody what God's done, THERE IS SALVATION, THERE IS REVELATION. WHEN WE TELL THIS WORLD WHAT GOD HAS DONE, WHEN WE ARE TESTIFYING TO THE MIRACLES THAT GOD HAS done in our lives. You see, it's one thing to hear about what God has done for somebody else. But buddy, when you can tell it for yourself, when you can give a personal testimony and a witness, you see, Rahab was responding. She had known likely for 40 years that God had already given his people Jericho. But when we start telling what the Lord has done, that's when victories start happening. That's when miracles happen. That's when walls start falling. Let me speak to you in this house. There may be those under the sound of my voice this evening that there's been walls you've been facing for a long, long time. There's been barriers that you feel like are keeping you from victory. Let me tell you, remember what the Lord has done for others. If you'll start depending on the revelation of who he is in your life, stop listening to negative voices that say you can't serve God, that you can't be in church. There's a ideology, I'll call it. It's not truly a diagnosis, but sociologists refers to something that they call having victim mentality. There's too many Christians walking around with victim mentality. Another words, woe is me. To serve God is such a drudge and a sacrifice. I've heard a few folks give their testimony in such a negative way. Why anybody would ever want to serve God the way they're having to serve God, I can't imagine. I gave up so much. I would be this and I would be the You would be a rank sinner. You gave up heartache. You gave up a broken family. You gave up trials and tests. I'm here to tell you, we need to be the voices that say we are well ready to take the land. We need to be talking about the reputation of what THE LORD HAS DONE, HOW HE'S DELIVERED US, HOW HE'S PROVIDED FOR US. YOU SEE, WHEN WE START TESTIFYING to his goodness, victory start taking place. I read a little bit about this idea of having victim mentality. They say it's an acquired personality trait or a coping mechanism rather than a formally recognized medical diagnosis in psychiatric manuals. In other words, it's something folks create as an excuse. PEOPLE WHO STRUGGLE WITH THIS mindset generally operate under three main assumptions. Number one, external blame. Other people or outside CIRCUMSTANCES ARE ALWAYS AT FAULT FOR MY PROBLEMS. I don't do anything wrong, but everybody else. Nobody likes me. Everybody hates me. Everybody's picking on me. I learned helplessness. They believe that nothing they do will make a difference. External blame and helplessness. And finally, resignation. They see no point in trying to find solutions or taking personal responsibility. These are the folks, I don't know if it was brother if it was Pastor Anthony or Pastor Whitley that talked about the folks that say, "It must be nice." I want to thank the Lord. I moved into a new house. It must be nice. I want to thank the Lord that we were blessed to get a new vehicle. It must be nice. And with that little statement, what they're saying is, "Woe is me. Everybody else has got things that I don't." Let me tell you, if you'll turn your life over to God and get a positive voice of what God has done, blessings are coming your way. When you're obedient to His word, it will be nice. When you're OBEDIENT AND YOU TRUST IN HIM, IT WILL be nice. Quit blaming other folks. QUIT BEING HELPLESS. QUIT RESIGNING THAT THERE'S NO VICTORY. THERE'S VICTORY IN YOUR LIFE IF YOU'LL REMEMBER WHAT THE LORD HAS ALREADY DONE. HOW MANY MIRACLES HE'S ALREADY WROUGHT. OH, HALLELUJAH. STOP YOUR CHRONIC COMPLAINING AND MAKING EXCUSES. Quit dwelling on the past and its unfairness. Don't reject being accountable. Quit seeking pity from others. Just say, "God, I know you've done it before and I know you're going to do it." For you see, two positive voices returned this time. You see, this is why we need to testify to what God has done. Joshua 2:23, it says, "So the two men returned and descended from the mountain and PASSED OVER AND CAME TO JOSHUA, THE SON OF NUN, and told him all the things that befell them. Gave them a report. AND THEY SAID UNTO JOSHUA, "TRULY, THE LORD HATH delivered into our hands all the land, FOR EVEN ALL the inhabitants OF THE COUNTRY DO FAINT BECAUSE OF US." ALL HE NEEDED WAS A POSITIVE REPORT THAT THEY KNEW THE GOD THAT THEY WERE SERVING AND WHAT HE HAS DONE. HAVE YOU HEARD WHAT the Lord has done lately? Listen, when you're out IN THIS WORKADAY WORLD, CAN you say, "I want to thank the Lord for what He's done for me. He woke me up this morning. He started me on my way. HE PROVIDED FOR ME. OH, BUT MAN, don't you see IT'S RAINING? IT'S ALL RIGHT. I GOT AN UMBRELLA. CAN'T YOU SEE HOW HOT IT IS? I'VE GOT AIR CONDITIONING. GOD, LISTEN. Give God credit for everything. Because he's our provider. HE AND IF YOU'LL HAVE A POSITIVE VOICE, suddenly deliverance starts taking place. Again, you know the story. But for us to review to understand, Joshua 6:1 says, "Now Jericho was straightly shut up because of the children of Israel, and none went out and none came in." And I like this. Please Please notice the way this is worded, verse number two. And the Lord said unto Joshua, "See, And sometimes I think the Lord has to remind us, "See, I told you." In other words, I I TOLD YOU JOSHUA HAD LEARNED A LESSON FROM MOSES. I DON'T NEED A COMMITTEE OF 10 DISSENTING VOICES. I'M GOING TO SEND TWO SPIES THAT'LL GIVE ME THE RIGHT ANSWER. AND THE LORD SAID, "SEE, I HAVE GIVEN UNTO THY HANDS JERICHO." I JUST KIND OF WONDER IF HE WASN'T REMINDING JOSHUA, "YOU REMEMBER I HADN'T FORGOTTEN THAT I HAD PROMISED YOU AND CALEB TO TAKE THESE WALLED CITIES." I had given unto thine hand Jericho, the king thereof, and the mighty men of valor. Verse three said, "And ye shall compass the city, all you men of war." He said, "Get your army together. Go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. Seven priests shall bear before them." And again, you Bible readers understand this story. But he told them, "I need you to walk around the city one time for six days. And then he said on the seventh day, verse 16, it came to pass that at the seventh time they would walk around seven times and at the seventh time the priests blew with trumpets and Joshua said unto the people, "Shout, for the Lord has given you the city." Let me give you a little something that we can glean from this. Before you can shout, you need to know how to walk. And I know that's real deep. But you know there's a lot of folks that like to come to church and shout, but they don't want to walk with the Lord. It takes six days of walking to get to shout on the seventh day. Some folks all they want to do is shout. And you know I believe in shouting. Shouting is not dancing. Shouting is lifting your voice. But let me TELL YOU, THERE'S SOME FOLKS want to shout, but they don't want to walk. I want to walk with the Lord. HE SAID IT'S GOING TO TAKE SIX DAYS OF WALKING. IT WASN'T EXCITING. IT wasn't victorious. IT WAS SIMPLY WALKING AROUND THE WALL ONE TIME. But don't you know inside those walls the inhabitants of Jericho said, "Yep, we've been waiting on this 40 years. Here it comes." What What's going to happen? And all they did was walk around. You think anybody slept that night? Now, we've heard what the Lord did to get them out of Egypt. We've heard the litany of victories that have taken and they've utterly destroyed here and there. But man, they just walked around our wall. Maybe we're going to survive, but they had a sleepless night. Next day, oh, no. Here they come again. This is it. And they just walked. The old song says, "Just a closer shout with thee?" No. Just a closer walk with thee. Oh, if we can understand that a daily walk with the Lord will lead us to a time to shout. So, they repeated it for 6 days, and on the 7th day Joshua 6:20 said, "So, the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets. And it came to pass when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the people shouted with a great shout that the wall fell down flat. God lowered the wall miraculously. Now, I I'm not going to bore you with all of the uh uh reading that I've done on this. Uh but it it it's fun to go in and start reading some of the archaeological studies that have been done about Jericho. There have been those with particular uh agendas to disprove this that have gone in and tried to say, "During this certain time such and such and have." But, then others went in and disprove the time. I I I won't take the time to do all that, but I'm I am here to tell you this. I told you about a personal testimony. Back in 2008 I got to visit Israel. And man, we we went a lot of cool places. I mean, I I got to read the second chapter of Acts in a room that they designated as being the upper room. I don't know if it was or not, but I still felt the Holy Ghost whatever was there. Uh I I I got to see uh this place and that place, but they took us to a restaurant. Which they stopped the bus and we went in. We were eating in the restaurant and uh the signs going into this it said we were in Jericho. And the brother that was helping lead the tour along with the tour guide who was was uh strictly that was his business what he did. He said, "Brother McCool, I want to show you something." He said, "I want you to go outside." And so, we went outside of this restaurant and we walked out just a a few yards away from the front door and it looked like a big pile of rocks to me. And he said, "I want to show you this." He said, "Walk all up and down this." And that looked like rocks to me, you know. Looked like rubble to me. He said, "You know what this is?" He said, "You are now, according to archaeologists, on the top of Jericho's wall." And I got news for you, I didn't do a bit of climbing. I can tell you that I was there. I've been on top of the wall and the wall was underground. WHY? BECAUSE WHEN GOD does something, he performs the miraculous. I'm here to tell you, HAVE YOU HEARD WHAT THE Lord has done? He's still doing miraculous things. He's still THE MIRACLE WORKER. IF WE'LL TRUST IN HIM, THE SHOUT WILL BRING DOWN WALLS. THE SHOUT HEAR ME IN THIS HOUSE. IF YOU'VE BEEN FACING A WALL FOR 40 YEARS, IT'S TIME TO REMEMBER WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE. YOU NEED TO GET YOUR SHOUT ON. YOU NEED TO GET YOUR PRAISE ON. STAND WITH ME. PRAISE TEAM, GET READY. NOW, NOTICE HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED. IT SAID THE WALL FELL down flat. So that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, AND THEY TOOK THE city and they UTTERLY DESTROYED ALL THAT WAS IN THE CITY BOTH MEN AND WOMEN YOUNG AND OLD OXEN SHEEP AND ASS WITH THE EDGE OF THE SWORD. THEY WERE OBEYING WHAT GOD HAD TOLD THEM TO DO. I know that may sound a bit bloody. But God was saying destroy. Something that should have been destroyed 40 years ago. He said completely wipe it out. But Joshua had said unto the two men that had spied out the country go to the harlot's house. Go to Rahab's house. Bring out thence the woman and all that she hath as you swear unto her. And the young men that were spies went in and brought Rahab and her father and her mother and her brethren and all that she had and they brought out all her kindred and left them without the camp of Israel. There is salvation for your entire family. Let me tell you there is salvation for your entire family. If you'll just know what the Lord has done. Some have been facing the same walls for 40 years because of a few negative voices. I'm here to tell you it's time to get your shout on. It's time to realize what the Lord has done and what he's wanting to do. There's victories that could have already been won. If we'll just be obedient to his word. You see this is why it's important that we have a testimony. John the Revelator said in Revelation 12:11 I heard a loud voice saying from heaven now is come salvation and strength and the kingdom of God and the power of his Christ for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him. Who? The accuser of the brethren. Who's the accuser of the brethren? Satan himself. Are you going to listen to negative voices? Are you going to listen to the voice of the accuser of the brethren and tries to tell why you can't serve God and why things can't happen according to God's will? And they overcame him by two things, by the blood of the lamb. First of all, we've preached it, the shed blood of Christ. That brought on the dispensation of grace that we preach about so much. And by the word of their testimony. Let me tell you, we need to be telling this world what the Lord has done. We need to be telling this world how good he is. I want the praise team when they get out here, I I I I want a fast song. I I want them to they they've been singing songs of worship and songs of praise and songs of excitement. I want us tonight to have a season of celebrating what the Lord has done. I want us to have a season of celebrating what he's going to do. I want us TO CELEBRATE HOW EXCITING IT IS TO BE CALLED the children of God. Because you see, I've got a testimony. I've got a testimony I can speak out. There's a reason why I praise. I can't wait to get into the house of God. I can't wait to come together. Why? BECAUSE WE CELEBRATE TOGETHER. WE REJOICE TOGETHER. Have you heard what the Lord has done? Praise team, would you sing for me just a minute? Hallelujah. Hallelujah. >> You'll turn it around. >> Yeah, hey. >> You'll turn it around. >> >> Sing it. You'll turn it around. >> Don't know when, don't know how. >> Yeah. >> >> Yes, you will. Yes, you will. And you'll tear down this old Goliath. Go ahead. He's going to tear down every wall. He's going to >> >> tear down those walls. He'll turn around every situation with you. Hallelujah. >> >> Yeah, yeah, yeah. Turn it around. Turn it around. >> >> Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hallelujah. Sing it now. >> >> Love me, love me together right now. >> >> Hallelujah. >> >> Great is tearing down that wall. Yeah, yeah. >> >> Yeah. >> >> Yeah. >> >> Can you lift your hands right now? >> >> Jesus, I know you're going to tear down every wall. Lord, when I think of your greatness, Lord, it's not what I've done, not anything I can accomplish. I have no talent. Lord, I have no abilities, but God, you take what I have, Lord, and you turn around the situations in our lives. God, I pray that we would testify to your greatness. Lord, your greatness is above all. Lord, your faithfulness is above all. And I God, I pray that we'd be unashamed to go from this place and sing of your reputation, >> >> speak of your goodness. Lord, that it would be a witness of victory to all who would receive. God, we thank you. We praise you. We love you. For all this, we're grateful. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen and amen. Greet your brothers and sisters tonight. You're dismissed in Jesus' name.
