Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
The unsettled world of Luke 21
- Jesus warned of many coming in his name, wars and commotions, earthquakes, famines, and persecution — and said, be not terrified.
- Before all these, his followers would be delivered up for his name's sake, and it shall turn to them for a testimony.
- The man that fears the Lord will not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.
Scriptures: Luke 21:8-14; Psalm 112:1; Psalm 112:7-8
Settle your commitment to God
- God will not take second place: no other gods and no graven images, for the Lord is a jealous God who visits iniquity to the third and fourth generation.
- No man can serve two masters; you cannot serve God and mammon.
- What one generation allows in its priorities, the next generation will embrace.
Scriptures: Exodus 20:3-5; Matthew 6:24
Settle your doctrine
- Continue in the faith, grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel.
- Believers must know the salvation message for themselves, settled deeply enough that they need not meditate beforehand what to answer; God will give a mouth and wisdom their adversaries cannot gainsay.
Scriptures: Colossians 1:23; Luke 21:15
Settle your praise
- David's song: my heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise among the people and among the nations.
- The same fixed-heart song sounds again in the later psalm; a fixed heart praises in good times and bad because he is worthy.
Scriptures: Psalm 57:7-10; Psalm 108:1-3
Settled words from a settled heart
- God sanctified and ordained Jeremiah from the womb and put his words in his mouth: say not, I am a child.
- Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.
- Peter and John, perceived as unlearned and ignorant men, were taken knowledge of as having been with Jesus.
- Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks; a good man brings good things out of the good treasure of his heart.
Scriptures: Jeremiah 1:4-9; Psalm 119:89; Acts 4:13; Matthew (book-only, as spoken); Luke 6:45
Be settled by the God of all grace
- Be sober and vigilant, for the adversary walks about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour; resist him steadfast in the faith.
- The God of all grace, after we have suffered a while, will make us perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle us.
Scriptures: 1 Peter 5:8-10

We'll read just a few verses. In Luke 21, we'll begin reading at verse number eight. Luke 21, beginning at verse number eight. And he said, "Take heed that ye be not deceived. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and the time drawth near. Go ye not therefore after them. But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified. For these things must first come to pass, but the end is not by and by. Then said he unto them, "Nation shall rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and great earthquakes shall be in diverse places, famines, and pestilences, and fearful sights, and great signs shall there be from heaven. But before all these they shall lay hand lay their hands on you and persecute you, deliver you up to the synagogues and into the prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. Notice verse 13. And it shall turn to you for a testimony. Verse 14. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer. For a few moments this evening, I'd speak to you on this subject. Settle it in your heart. Settle it in your heart. Let's pray. Savior, I love you. God, I'm so grateful for all we have already experienced in your house. For your mighty presence that you so freely manifest in this house. Lord, I thank you for the praise that's gone up, the blessings we've already received. Lord, now I pray that as we study your ever settled and ever anointed word that it becomes settled in our heart that we would receive, we would act upon it. And Lord, we would fulfill all that you have for us to do in your kingdom. Lord, we honor you and praise you. The name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Settle it in your heart. We truly are living in a very unsettled world. The writer in Luke reminding us of what Jesus was teaching his disciples mentioned terror. He said, "Be not terrified." Yet every headline that we see before long will have attempts to terrorize society. We hear new words that deal with wars. We hear words like jihadists and fatwas and invasions. And there are uprisings and protests marches. their political parties trying to settle on who their candidates will be to supposedly lead us in a particular political direction, but none are settled. When we take it on home personally, there's a lot of things we have a hard time settling in our own minds. Not near as sinister as the things I've already mentioned, but most of us have a difficult time. Even when it comes time to make a major purchase, whether it's an automobile or a house or a refrigerator, we try to make decisions AND WE TRY TO SETTLE ON what's the best price and what's the BEST MODEL, WHAT WHAT will work for me. and uh uh that uh the old shopping gene that kicks in on some of us. You want to settle on the proper time to make a purchase. You know, I I don't want to make I don't want to pay the full price, but I'm going to watch it and I want to settle on a time to buy it when it gets cheaper, but before my size goes away. Don't tell me I'm the only one that's ever done that. We have a hard time settling on a lot of things. But Jesus was speaking about more important things. He was talking to his followers, his disciples. And we should be disciples. And this word should be just as real to us today as he began to tell them what to look for in the end times. In fact, the list of things that he named in Luke 21 sounds much like most of the news reports that we hear. First of all, he said, "Take heed and be ye not deceived, for many shall come in my name." There's a lot of folks running around trying to claim that they represent Jesus, but they don't stay in his word. There are many who would like to portray to you that they are the word of Jesus. But you see his word hasn't changed from what he gave us a long time ago. But the headlines that we see wars and commotions he said be not terrified. The psalmist said in Psalms 1:2, Psalms 112 verse one, he said, "Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that fearth the Lord that delightth greatly in his commandments. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings. HIS HEART IS FIXED. TRUST in the Lord. His heart is established. He shall not be afraid until he see his desire upon his enemies. You see, there may be those who would terrorize this world, but he tells us who are believers in God and those who really fear the Lord that we have nothing to be afraid of. I'm here to tell you, I want to be cautious, but I don't want to live in fear. I'm thankful that I'm serving a God who's still in charge. He's above every political party. He's in charge above every ideology that would come along in this world. I'm thankful and I want to be part of that manfearing group. >> You see, men who fear God have nothing else to fear because the fear of God is a reverential respect of God. We respect what he stands for and what he leads us to. But he goes on and he says, "Nation shall rise against nation." We see it daily. Kingdom against kingdom. Great earthquakes shall be in diverse places. Even this week, the headlines of a major earthquake. famines, pestilence, fearful sights, great signs there shall be from heaven. Jesus then goes on to foretell persecution. But he says this. He said, "All of these things that I've just named, I'm going to turn it to you for a testimony." Let me tell you, those who love Jesus will have a testimony. >> I said those who love Jesus will have a testimony. >> No matter whether you've been persecuted, tried, or tested, God will give you a testimony. And he said, for you to have this testimony, you're going to already have to have some things settled in your heart. There are some things that we as children of God just need to go ahead and settle it in our heart. >> You know, what's settled in your heart is what will come out of your mouth. >> You see, I've seen folks who weren't close to the Lord, but they could talk a good game when everything was going good. But in an emergency situation, when sudden something suddenly happens that you're not expecting, what comes out of your mouth? For I've seen children of God in the most dire of situations, the unexpected situation. SAY, "OH, JESUS." But I've also been around folks in an unexpected situation that weren't quite that spiritual. A four-letter expletative would come out of their mouth when an emergency would arise. What's in your heart is WHAT'S GOING TO COME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH. >> What what you're dwelling ON, HE SAID, THERE'S SOME THINGS YOU NEED TO ALREADY HAVE IT settled before you even face any adversity. The first thing we need to have settled, we need to have settled our commitment to God. >> You see, God will not accept second place in our lives. >> Exodus, simple as this, stated this in Exodus 20 3-5, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images, or any likenesses, or anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water underneath. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them. FOR I, THE LORD thy God, am a jealous God, >> visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and the fourth generations of them that hate me. Let me tell you, there's a lot of things that are not sinful in and of themselves. But if your job, your recreation, your friends, your marriage, your family, your life itself is ahead of God, you have settled on the improper priorities. GOD MUST BE FIRST. HE WILL NOT TAKE SECOND PLACE. >> My family's extremely important to me, but above all else, I must be saved. You see, there's some things that want we must have settled. Matthew 6:24 said, "No man can serve two masters. For either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." See, you must prioritize God in your life or you're dooming even your children and your grandchildren according to scripture. He said to the third and fourth generation. What's he really saying? If I'm an example to my children that anything's more important than than God, what one generation allows the next generation will embrace. If my attendance to the house of God is contingent on my likes and and the things that I just prefer versus me essentially saying, "I'm going to be in the house OF GOD. I'VE SETTLED IT." You know, my mom and dad, there was never any question whether we were going to church my whole life growing up. We didn't get up on Sunday morning say, "Well, I wonder uh you think we ought to go to church today. Let's check the weather. Uh who's got the early game? Will we make it home in time to watch? You see, it was never a question. IF THERE WAS CHURCH, WE were going to church. >> It we we were going to THE HOUSE OF GOD and and we were going TO EVERY SERVICE WE COULD." AND THAT HASN'T CHANGED. THAT WAS PUT DOWN INSIDE ME. THANK YOU, MOM and Dad, FOR PRIORITIZING my life. THE COMMITMENT. THERE'S SOME THINGS WE NEED TO SETTLE RIGHT NOW. IF WE DON'T, WE'RE GOING TO PASS IT ON TO ANOTHER GENERATION OF OUR KIDS. WHAT'S MOST IMPORTANT TO YOUR KIDS? YOU SEE, THE SOUL SAVING STATION WON'T BE WHETHER YOU GET TO WATCH THE KICKOFF. IT'S WHETHER YOU WERE IN THE HOUSE OF GOD. YOU'RE so Some think I've quit preaching, stopped meddling, but I'm still preaching or started meddling, I should say. >> You see, we need to have some things already settled. When you prioritize prioritize anything over God, you're going to pass it on to another generation. You see, too many don't understand that what this means to be settled in the world. Somebody has a disagreement, they'll say, "Well, let's go outside and let's settle this." Or, "I'll see you in court. We'll settle this in court." You know how we need to settle a few more things? By taking it to an altar of repentance and prayer and leaving it there. There's some things we need to settle at the altar. THERE'S SOME THINGS THAT SPIRITUALLY WE NEED TO BRING TO THE ALTAR AND LEAVE IT THERE. SETTLE SOME THINGS. >> You see, he went on to tell us a few other things in the word of the Lord that needs to be settled. We need to settle on our doctrine. Colossians 1:23 says this, "If you continue in the faith grounded and settled and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel," YOU SEE, IF WE START ALLOWING THE gospel to be secondary in our life and and man's ideology overrules the gospel and the hope of the gospel, we'll find ourselves unsettled. He said, "If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope OF THE GOSPEL WHICH YOU HAVE HEARD AND WHICH WAS PREACHED TO EVERY CREATURE WHICH IS UNDER THE HEAVEN." THE PROBLEM THAT A LOT OF FOLKS HAVE getting settled, they've never heard gospel. >> They enjoy worship, praise, and emotion of a wellorganized church. But they haven't really heard doctrine. TOO MANY DOCTRINES ARE DOCTRINES OF convenience rather than doctrines of conviction >> that are aligned with God's word. Paul told Timothy. Now nowadays there's a lot of folks who are scared to death of that word doctrine. Oh, we don't need doctrine. Paul told Timothy till I come give attendance. In other words, listen to and obey reading, to exhortation, and to doctrine. >> He also warned against those who would depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. >> What are doctrines of devils? It's any doctrine that takes you away from Christ. anything that takes you from being more devoted to Christ than anything. We need to settle ON OUR DOCTRINE. SETTLE ON HEARING THE WORD. Make it important in your life. Did you know we need to be able to explain the salvation message for ourselves? >> Don't cop out. Somebody says, "Well, what do you believe?" Well, my church believes this. I don't care what your church believes. What do you believe? >> Have you settled it in your heart? Some church idiom and some church doctrine and dogma IS NOT GOING TO SAVE YOU. YOU NEED TO KNOW THE SALVATION MESSAGE FOR YOURSELF AND be able to understand it and explain it AND HAVE THE SALVATION MESSAGE DOWN DEEP IN YOUR HEART AND DEEP IN YOUR SOUL. YOU GOT TO SETTLE IT. Settle on be in Jesus name. >> Settle to the point he said that you you you don't even have to think about it. He said sell it that you don't even have to meditate before what ye shall answer. WHEN SOMEBODY ASKS YOU WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE SAVED? YOU DON'T NEED TO SAY WELL I'LL GET YOU IN TOUCH WITH MY PASTOR and let him teach you a Bible study. You've got a Bible and you don't have a study. >> You need to develop an understanding of the salvation message in your own heart. >> Let me tell you, we need to be settled on our praise. >> I want to, Sister Ashley, you may really like this passage of scripture. I let let me let me preach to all of the uh the musicians and the singers in particular. I'll try not to misapply scripture too bad. Psalms 57. Now, David noted as one of the greatest songwriters ever. Believe Brother Whitley told us about that. That David was one of the greatest songwriters ever and all that he composed. He when he when he went to Gath, HE STOPPED WRITING, BUT he was a HE WAS AN AWESOME SONGWRITER. WELL, LET ME GIVE you part of a song that he said. He said, "My heart is fixed. OH GOD, MY HEART IS FIXED. I will SING AND GIVE PRAISE." NOW, Sister Ashley, this part you may like. It says, "Arise, awake up my glory. Awake sultry and heart. I myself will awake early. I'll interpret that for nowadays. That means you ought to be choir practice on time. >> YOU OUGHT TO GET TO CHURCH EARLY. MUSICIANS GET TO CHURCH EARLY AND PREPARE AND PRACTICE. HEY, HE HE WAS GIVING SOME IDEAS. HE SAID IF I'M GOING TO SING, HE SAID, "WAKE IT UP EARLY." WELL, I'M GOING TO LEAD AND WORSHIP. HE SAID, "AWAKE UP MY GLORY. AWAKE SULTRY IN HEART. I MYSELF AWAKE EARLY. I WILL PRAISE THEE, OH LORD, AMONG THE PEOPLE. I WILL SING UNTO THEE AMONG the nations. >> Sometimes you have to repeat a message because THAT WAS PSALMS 57. WHEN I WENT TO PSALMS 108, I read it again. HE SAID, "OH GOD, MY HEART IS FIXED. I will sing and give praise even with my glory. Awake sultry in heart. I MYSELF WILL AWAKE EARLY. I will PRAISE THEE, OH LORD, AMONG THE PEOPLE. I WILL SING PRAISES UNTO THEE among the nations." Now, you may think I'm stretching it a little bit, but let me give you a little insight. He said, "My heart is fixed." What does it mean to have your heart fixed? Our choir with Sister Philippia sings that song every once in a while that says, "I'm sold out. My mind is made up." There's one verse in it. She says, "My heart is fixed. My mind's made up. No room, no vacancy. I'm all filled up. His spirit lives with me in me." And that's the reason I'm sold out. What does that mean? To have your heart fixed. Well, the term fixed generally means unchanging, stationary, or repaired. unchanging or permanent, not subject to change, FLUCTUATION OR MOVEMENT. IS YOUR HEART FIXED? IS EVERYTHING SETTLED? IS YOUR PRAISE AND WORSHIP settled in your heart? I'M GOING TO PRAISE GOD NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCE. I'M STILL GOING TO BE A PRAISER. I'M NOT GOING TO PRAISE ACCORDING TO THE WAY I FEEL. I'M GOING TO PRAISE BECAUSE HE'S WORTHY OF MY PRAISE. I'M NOT GOING TO PRAISE BECAUSE OF MY CIRCUMSTANCE. I'M GOING TO PRAISE BECAUSE HE'S WORTHY TO BE PRAISED. MY HEART'S FIXED. MY HEART SETS. OH, HALLELUJAH. I'M GOING TO PRAISE HIM IN THE GOOD TIMES AND THE BAD. I'M GOING TO PRAISE HIM WHEN IT'S COLD OR WHEN IT'S HOT. I'M GOING TO PRAISE HIM WHEN I FEEL GOOD AND WHEN I DON'T. I'LL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE TESTIMONY OF ONE GOOD brother down in Mississippi. He showed up to church. They had a testimony service. He had been sick and HE SAID I FELT TOO BAD not to come to church. He said, in other words, I that's where I needed to be. My my physical situation does not determine my spiritual commitment. HE SAID MY heart's fixed. To be FIXED MEANS STATIONARY OR ATTACHED FIRMLY PLACED. PLACED, FASTENED OR held in one position. And also to be fixed means this repaired or mended something broken that has been restored to working order. Seem like I heard a really good message this morning about restoration. You see, if you've had your heart restored, it's been fixed. It's been repaired. And now it should be unchangeable. It should be stable. It should be set. >> I'll say it this way. If you'll get your heart fixed, you'll have a fixed heart. >> You'll be sold out. You also should be settled if you're a child of God. We should be settled on our morals and our ethics. Settle means to put in place to establish in life, business or home to locate permanently. The same is fixed. Too many have never considered their reactions to temptation until temptation has already arrived. You see, you don't wait to locate your integrity when temptation is coming. Your values, your honesty, your integrity should already be set. No situation ethics. Your honesty should be whether anyone's looking or not. Your integrity will not be doing wrong and apologizing later. Locate your honesty permanently. It should be your natural attitude. When an opportunity to be dishonest, to gain advantage arise, you shouldn't even have to contemplate what the right decision is. Your integrity should already be set. You should locate, you married folks, you should locate your commitment to the vows you made in marriage before temptation ever arrives. It should be permanent. It should be your natural attitude. Young folks, your moral boundaries should already be set permanently. >> Don't wait till you're in a compromising situation to have to make a decision on what's moral. Your moral boundaries should be permanently established already in your life. Your commitment to living a holy and a holiness lifestyle should be permanently part of your natural attitude. It should be settled. Your financial commitment to God should already be settled in your high life. Because you see the last part of our text once everything's settled. He said you won't even have to meditate on what to say. For verse 15 of Luke 21 says this. Now this is Jesus speaking to his followers. He said for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries shall not be able to gain. Say that word gang say there means they can't dispute nor resist. HE SAID I'LL GIVE YOU A MOUTH and wisdom. There's a lot of folks got a mouth on them but no wisdom go along with it. >> You need both. You need to have both. You if you got a mouth you better have some wisdom to go along with it. Jeremiah the noted prophet in Jeremiah 1 was timid of his call. He said in Jeremiah 1:4, "Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee, and I ordain thee a prophet unto thee." He said, "You're called." Now, notice Jeremiah's response. and then said I aha Lord God. Have you ever felt like responding that way? I have. You know there's a C. Ah Lord God SAID BEHOLD I CANNOT SPEAK FOR I'M A CHILD. Did he mean literally he was a child? No he meant I have the ability only of a child. I I can't speak to nations. I I don't have that ability. I I can't be a prophet. >> But the Lord said unto me, say not, I am a child. In other words, when God calls you, don't hide behind, I'm not qualified. There's something needs to be settled. When God calls you, you need to say, here I am, Lord. >> Amen. >> Lord, use me. Say not, I am a child, for thou will go, for thou shalt go, to all that I shall send thee. And whatsoever I command thee, thou shalt speak. Be not afraid of their faces. Man, there's a lot of scary faces out in this world. >> But I'm here to tell you, God will give you holy boldness and open the opportunity. It's not for us to go about around being aggressive and borish and confrontational, but God opens doors. But when he opens doors, that's when we must be able to step through them and be a witness. It needs to be settled in our heart. For I am with thee to deliver thee, sayeth the Lord. Then the Lord put forth his hand, and he touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, "Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth." Oh God, let your words be in my mouth. Don't Don't let the words of this world be in my mouth. Don't let my personal opinions and the influence of the flesh be in my mouth. Oh God, let your word be IN MY MOUTH. WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT THAT HIS WORD BE IN YOUR MOUTH? FOR THE PSALMIST SAID IN PSALMS 119:89, "FOREVER, oh Lord, thy word is settled in heaven." >> Amen. >> I WANT WHAT'S SETTLED IN HEAVEN TO BE WHAT'S in my mouth. You see, I don't want to be a mouth with no wisdom. I want to draw us near a close because I want tonight to be a night that we settle some things in our heart. praise team and musicians start making you way up. Get ready. Have you ever been around someone that every time they open their mouth, it just kind of made you cringe? And frankly, you hope the world didn't associate them with the church because of their lack of wisdom. I didn't say lack of education. I said lack of wisdom. You see, when you get some things settled in your heart, God will equip you. Just as he told Jeremiah, "I'm going to equip you." God will the example would be this found in Acts 4:13. It said, 'Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, it wasn't their education, their pedigree, or their background. It said, "When they saw the boldness of Peter and John, they perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, but they marveled." Why? They took knowledge of them that they had been with Jesus. Let me tell you, this world needs to find more of us being identified. I that there's something different about him. He's been with Jesus. There's something different about her. She's been with Jesus. There there's something inordinate, something out of the ordinary. That person's not like the rest of this world. Did you see the way they deal with those issues? DID YOU SEE THE WAY THEY dealt with THOSE PROBLEMS? YOU CAN'T DO THAT unless you've got some things already settled in your heart. Matthew said it this way. Stand with me. Jesus words, for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. Is your testimony settled in your heart? He went on to say in the parallel or synop synoptic verses in Luke 6:45, "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good. Evil man out of the evil treasures of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil. For of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh." Once I've settled some things, then I'm going to be able to speak some things. Is it good or evil that comes from my heart? I give you one final passage of scripture. First Peter 5:8 states this. Be sober. Be vigilant because your adversary the devil as a roaring lion walketh about seeking whom he may devour who whom resist steadfastly in faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory, by Christ Jesus, after ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, established, strengthened, and settled you. I want to be settled in him. We hear so many wonderful songs and I quoted a song earlier and as the praise team prepares to sing, I want to quote you some words that were pinned in 1902 by a Methodist minister. Historians say this was during the turn of the century. Historians call it holiness movement. And he pinned this words about be these words about being settled. He said there was a time I know when in the book of heaven an old account was standing for sins yet unforgiven. My name was at the top and many things below. But I went to the keeper. And I settled long ago. Long ago. Long ago. Yes. The old account was settled long ago. And my records clear today. FOR HE WASHED MY SINS AWAY. HALLELUJAH. YES. THE OLD ACCOUNT WAS SETTLED LONG AGO. He went on to write, "The old account was large and growing every day. For I was always sinning, and I never tried to pay. But when I looked ahead and I saw such pain and woe, I said, "I'm going to settle this." >> And I settled long ago. Somebody may be in THE HOUSE TONIGHT. YOU'RE NEEDING TO SETTLE SOME THINGS at an altar of repentance. YOU'RE NEEDING TO GET YOUR HEART SETTLED BEFORE GOD. He said, "When at the judgment bar I stand before my king and he, the book will open, he cannot find a thing." Oh, hallelujah. Then will my heart be glad while tears of JOY WILL FLOW. WHY DO FOLKS sometimes cry when they come to the altar? Because they've got their account settled. They've repented. I've settled something. And then he gave this final invitation. HE SAID, "NOW, SINNER, SEEK THE LORD. Repent of all your sins. For thus he hath commanded if you're going to enter in. And then if you should live a hundred years below, you'll know you got it settled cuz you settled it long ago. I'm here tonight to tell you there's some things we need to settle. In just a moment, the praise team's going to sing for us. And here's what I want you to do. If you're in this house, I want everybody in the house to make a decision before God. I'm settling it right. I'm settled in my heart. I'm going to serve you. I'm going to follow you. I'm going to love you. Step out and gather around the altar for a season of prayer. If there's anything you need to settle in your heart, come and pray. Say, "God, I want it settled in my heart that I'm going to serve you. I'm going to praise you. I'm going to preach for you. I'm going to teach for you. I'm going to testify for you. I'm going to be a witness for you. Settle it in your heart. Hallelujah. Would you sing for us? Hallelujah. The love of my life. >> Hallelujah. Yeah. The hope that I >> God, I want to settle some things in my heart right now. Lord, if you see any unclean thing in me, would you reach down and change me right where you are? Would you ask the Lord to settle anything that shouldn't be there? >> God, would you forgive me of my sin? >> Lord, if I have any immity in my heart, would you take it out? Lord, would you cleanse my mind? Would you cleanse my heart? Lord, you're my everything. Hallelujah. Yes. Sing it now. You are the love of my life. >> Yeah. >> You are the hope, >> the hope that I need. >> You be more than I got in my mind. Hey, for is my Lord. Oh Lord, >> you are my everything. >> Hallelujah. Now, right where you are, don't ask the Lord for anything except this. God, I want my heart settled to serve you. Could we have a season right now of lifting our voices right where you are? Pray loud enough you can hear yourself. Pray because if you can do that, the Lord can hear you and the devil can hear you, too. He wants to tempt you. Don't let him tempt you to keep your mouth quiet. God's giving YOU A PRAYER. LET'S PRAY RIGHT NOW. Mighty God, I love you. Lord Jesus, I want it settled in my heart. I'm going to serve you. God, I pray that your mighty power would give me strength and courage. Lord, the authority of your word, let it be in my mouth. Settle it in my heart, Lord. Let me witness to the lost. Lord, let me give the salvation message from my heart. Lord, let me study to be approved unto you that I can present your word unashamedly to the lost. Hallelujah. I thank you, Jesus. I thank you, Lord. I thank you. Now, would you lift your hands and your hearts to Jesus one more time? Would you praise him? Jesus, I love you. Jesus, I praise you. Oh, hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. First Apostolic Church. I'm glad to be in a settled church. Let's go from this place determined that we're going to do everything we can to be a witness for Christ. Please remember Wednesday night worship in the word. Come for Bible study expecting a great time in the Lord. If there's guests in the house, someone you do not know, would you please get to them? Make them welcome. You're dismissed in Jesus name. Shake hands and be friendly.
