Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

The glory of the Lord filled the house

  • At the temple's dedication the Levites stand in white linen with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, and a hundred and twenty priests sound trumpets; the trumpeters and singers are as one, to make one sound in praising the Lord.
  • The house is filled with a cloud and the priests cannot stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord has filled the house of God.
  • Solomon's temple was magnificent — and it was an empty temple of perfection until the glory filled it; the building is not the best part, the glory is.
  • The queen of Sheba could have gone home satisfied with the programs, the offerings, and the order of the house; the part worth staying for is the ascent into praise.
  • The Pentecost parallel is drawn: there too the house was filled first — before any person was filled, the room itself was filled.

Scriptures: 2 Chronicles 5:12-14

Empty temples of perfection

  • The human body is fearfully and wonderfully made, every faculty in place — and yet a person can be a perfect container standing empty, because the body was made to hold the Holy Ghost.
  • Adam, formed from the dust and filled with the breath of life, died spiritually and became an empty container: the temple is not the problem; the vacancy is.
  • The preacher's own testimony: he was filled with the Holy Ghost at eight years old in southeast Missouri and was baptized that night in Jesus' name — the container received its content.
  • Nobody was created to stay empty; we were created for the content, not only the container.

The Word was made flesh

  • There are three that bear witness in earth — the spirit, and the water, and the blood — and these three agree in one.
  • There are three that bear record in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost — and these three are one.
  • The Word — logos — is a thinker's thought; a thought cannot be separated from the thinker, so John never presents the Word as anyone other than God himself.
  • In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
  • And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory: when the invisible is made visible, that is glory — and God has never had glory issues in heaven; he came looking for it in the earth.

Scriptures: 1 John 5:7; 1 John 5:8; John 1:1; John 1:14

From glory to glory

  • Paul writes to the Corinthians that we are changed from glory to glory: God does not take a life from one level to the ultimate in one leap — he transitions us in steps.
  • Transitions are hard because stepping up means climbing against gravity; but nobody gets better by staying where he is.
  • Do not make the present dimension permanent: we are a tabernacle church, built to move, not a temple church built to stay.

Scriptures: 2 Corinthians (book-only, as spoken); Revelation 22

Expect it to become a thing

  • Only God is the beginning and the end at the same time: when he speaks a thing, he is already standing where it is done — so his word can be trusted before it is visible.
  • Faith gives substance to what is hoped for: you can hold in the Spirit what your eyes cannot yet report.
  • What has been prophesied over you is not a souvenir — it is something to war for, the way Timothy was charged to war over the prophecies that went before him.
  • The altar appeal: don't only hear about miracles in another era — expect deliverance, miracles, and fulfillment in this altar right now.

well let me quickly say it it is indeed an honor to be here and uh my son is constantly telling me dad you got to watch this service you got to watch this and so from afar literally we have enjoyed your services and the preaching and witness of his spirit here and uh man i agree with you i that i like pentecostal singing this snorting for jesus stuff's got to go why are we still trying to find him we found him and we ought to declare that we found him i'm not looking for him i found him and i experienced him and he set me free amen and uh so thank god for it man i've enjoyed the singing and the choir wow and uh of course then god has so blessed you with the carpenter family and leadership in this church and what a tremendous and i mean this sincerely what a tremendous preacher brother carpenter is but not just a preacher but just to me he's just real and authentic and down to earth and i like that amen i get tired of all this pentecostal pretend stuff and you know i just like real down-to-earth and i honor him and his family here today what a tremendous job and thank you for gracing us at store and the people still talking about it and so i i i'm in debt amen all right are you are you ready now i realize that uh it's 10 50 and i got to get you out of here so you can beat the baptist to the steakhouse i grew up in southeast missouri and boy that was a deal we had there was the church of christ we had to beat the church christ ii chronicles chapter 5 and verse number 12. i stand today very confident and assured of what i'm going to preach sometimes i've gone into services i think i know what god wants to say because other times i know what god wants to say and then there's other times that i really know what god wants to say and today is the latter god was gracious enough to me i yesterday i began to feel this and then god was gracious enough to wake me up this morning at five o'clock which is two o'clock in my time and spoke and dropped something in my spirit and so i feel very confident that we're going down the right path here today amen second chronicles chapter 5 verse number 12 also the levites which were singers all of them of asaph and heman and jidithan their sons and their brethren being arrayed and white linen and having symbols and sultries and harps stood the east end of the altar and with them 120 priests sounding with trumpets i like that they weren't having dead church were they it came even to pass as the trumpeteers and singers were warned to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the lord and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and symbols and instruments of music and praised the lord saying for he is good for his mercy endureth forever that then the house was filled with the cloud even the house of the lord so that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud and here's the key for the glory of the lord had filled the house of god i like that story i really do you know i've been around this all my life and i hear people uh i was preaching one time i stopped the man and i said sir if you go down the aisle dance and rejoice i said god will deliver you and i'll never forget he looked at me and said i only do that in the spirit and i said well i can make it even more clear i feel like the holy ghost is telling you me to tell you if you'll get out the aisle dance and rejoice god will probably set you free from the nicotine habits you got and uh man he got all you know people get you know i don't know where in the world we got this stuff that we only dance in the spirit well i've already got some of you where in the world is he going have you ever noticed that the jesus said the son of man's come to seek and to save that he didn't save them he didn't say those he said that which was lost the only thing that i can find there the original thing that jesus lost was music from heaven lucifer anointed cherub that covereth he had these stones part of his workmanship was the tapestry and the pipe tabestry's timbrel tambourine pipe a lot of people say is a flute or a musical instrument one instrument that they would play to lead people in dancing the deal is is lucifer didn't play music he was music and when he moved you could hear that music so he would leave the angelic coast before the throne and the light of god would hit him those stones and it would filter through heaven like a brilliant light show that's how come the prophet said because of thy brilliance iniquity was found in thee and so god lost that he lost that there he was the tambourine the thing to dance god lost it but yet he tells them the son of man has come to seek and to save that which was lost see i don't have to wait on the spirit to move me to rejoice i really don't so god lost the timbrel and he lost the dance somebody tell me where's the first place in the scripture that you see a human being with a tambourine and a dance anybody know i think i heard somebody say it miriam they come through the red sea right they've come through the red sea they get on the other side maryland they'll pick up tambourines they begin to rejoice let israel in dancing and rejoicing for the lord hath drowned the armies of our enemies in the depths of the sea thereof for the lord has revealed his holy arm so it's on the other side of the red sea is where there was a timber in a dance paul says that the red sea is a type of water baptism so the only reason that i need to dance before him or to rejoice before him is not music it's not the spirit moving on me i just need to remember that i've been to the water and i've been baptized i've been baptized in the only covenant name that there is and that is what god lost now i i'm preaching another sermon do you just sit down i'm already started it just i think that god gets great joy and now this is how i see it and kind of grabbing the devil by the nap of his neck and dragging him over while y'all are having church and saying i want you to look into that service don't you see that i think he did it this morning when when people started coming down here and dancing and rejoicing and i think god just kind of held him over there and say you see see that right there see you took that out of my heaven but they're going to put it back in it and they're not waiting to get to heaven to do it they're doing it right now when i think of the goodness of jesus and all that he's done for me my soul cries out anybody got a soul cry here today my soul cries out hallelujah amen amen now i i i want to i want to give you a disclaimer here i don't want you to misunderstand what i'm about to say and i'm not here today in judgment or to condemn you i want you to understand that david desired to build god a house and god said no no i can't let you do that uh i needed you to drive the enemy back i needed you to be the man of war that you were so that your son can live in peace and it will be in peace that they will build but it didn't exempt david from being able to give him to give solomon and them the blueprints the musical instruments matter of fact the bible says that when the queen of sheba came and saw solomon's ascent by which he went up into the house of the lord and it says in there that he was keeping to the order of david his father and so you watch that literally she was watching thousands of levites as they took their ascent up into the house of the lord it literally means she was so moved by their praise and worship she fainted she just passes out that'd be a good service wouldn't it and it's there now david gave him an order told him how it was to be built set aside finances all kinds of things and so the bible says that solomon was going to build not just a house but he was going to build a great house and i will pause here and this is probably not a part of my message but it just it fits right here the bible says that solomon went to gibeon which was where the great altar of the lord was and it was there that god gave him a blank check great altars build great houses and i want you to remember that great altars build great houses and so solomon builds this house and what a magnificent structure it was it was just it was beautiful one commentary that i read said that it probably could have been compared to one of the seven wonders of the world it was magnificent uh solomon hired he found the best craftsman in israel and then he even went out i uh i've jotted down some stuff and put a little book together and i call it lessons from the builders and i go through for all the way back from the foundation of the world about wisdom have laid the foundation so i talk about what we learn from builders and so when we get to solomon this is how you build a great house solomon was not afraid to reach beyond the scope of just the craftsmen that were there in israel he hired others hired hiram and these people were probably some of the best craftsmen in the world he brought them in to build this house uh the best way i could explain it to you was it was it was almost like a pre-fabricated building and the bible says that when they assembled it together there in jerusalem that there was not even the sound of a hammer as a young man i worked with the finishing carpenter he was a master finishing carpenters name was esto rosenthal he was a jew and was a master finishing carpenter and i'd cut something he'd say nope that's not gonna work we don't cut it down to one thousandth we cut it down to one ten thousandth of an inch and uh needless to say i never got it quite mastered and went to preach an amen and i mean he he hired these kind of people when he brought it together these these stones and everything it was the best way i could describe it is it was fitly framed together i mean everything was overlaid with gold it was so magnificent uh this this past week one of the preachers mentioned the cost of it i think he said seven or eight million but it was seven or eight billion if you were to build the same building today it would cost you billions of dollars to build it because it was overlaid with gold and precious metals and it was magnificent i mean people would see it just like the queen of sheba it just it was so magnificent that it was just an overwhelming something now you know why when it was destroyed that they wept and the devastation of the destruction of such a building being ransacked and tore down it was it was quite a building if you were to look at it you would say that it was a perfect building it was magnificent it really was but even as magnificent as it was and this is my title it was still an empty temple of perfection an empty temple of perfection it's magnificent it's wonderful it's glorious i mean people would come just to israel like the queen of sheba just to see that they had heard of the wisdom of solomon they had heard about all the things and what a tremendous tremendous thing that they offered when she got there she said i've come with hard questions but watch what she says it says she noticed the attendance of his ministers that doesn't mean how many that means their attitude she said wow your ministers and the people that serve you they act like they're actually happy about doing this and then she noticed the the the meal that they had prepared the meat of his table and then she noticed the servants and their attire and how they were dressed so i mean she was impressed with all of that and she could have stopped there she could have stopped there i mean she asked him the questions he gave her the answers she was she was deeply moved by their attitude and the joy of them being there she noticed that they dressed different than anybody else she had ever seen she noticed that they provided quite a buffet and put a lot on the table and was willing to to feed a lot of different things and so she could have stopped there and she could have said thank you solomon this is magnificent i can leave and i can leave satisfied but solomon said well if you leave now you're going to miss the best part of it now you know what as churches we can offer people a lot of things they come to an apostolic church and they can they can see the fact that we dress different than everybody else they also can sense that most of our people there's always a few through the congregation that look like basset hounds and act like they're not glad to be there but most of our people they're excited about being there they got a good attitude about being in the house of god i think most of you here today but i took my glasses off so i can't really see who i'm shooting and who i'm not but the fact is i think most of you came today with a good attitude about being in the house of god i was glad when they said unto me let us go into the house of the lord i mean that's that's the attitude that we ought to have i it's a joy to serve god and to serve the community of this congregation it's a joy to do that and there's a lot of apostolic churches that's what they offer people and they say there you go and oh hey look over here at our table i mean we provide all kinds of stuff we got we got uh we got counseling we got things for kids we got we got things for adolescents and teenagers and man we got them divided up in so many groups now i can't keep up with them and then we got 20 somethings and then we got 30 somethings and then we got 40 somethings and then we got 50 60. and then we even got stuff for 70 and 80. i don't know we got much for 90 year olds but we got it up pretty well up to 80 amen and i mean we offer a lot of stuff and we just provide a lot of stuff so people could come and visit your church and say wow this is tremendous y'all really offer a lot here and i mean now your people dress a little different but they act happy about being here and the sad fact is that's usually where a lot of our apostolic churches want to stop right now but solomon said if that's all you get you're going to miss the best part why don't you watch how we take our ascent up into the house of the lord and how we praise him and how we worship him so you know what you can offer maryville a lot of stuff you can offer them everything that the king offered the queen of sheba but the fact is is if you really want people to be overcome it's not our programs it's not even our building but it's when the people of god take their ascent up into the house of the lord that something starts happening and that old center's set in there and that visitor sitting there and they say wow you've got a great building and you've got a lot to offer and yeah your people look a little different but hey it's a good church but then when we begin to praise him and worship him that's when they begin to say hey i i feel something i've never felt this before what in the world's going on here i thought you people were living on the crazy side but i feel something what is it yeah oh boy i want to get so distracted right now it's pathetic amen now now solomon man he's got this house and he's got it built but it's empty it's beautiful it's perfect but it's empty so he calls for a dedication he calls for a dedication and i gave you the description of that dedication that was our text they gathered the levites together the musicians they they gather the singers the trumpeteers and the number 120 is mentioned ended and when the 120 and the trumpeters all them begin to worship and to make one sound to be heard in praising and thinking the lord but all of a sudden god said i'm going to fill that house they're worshiping me and they're praising me and that's my address and i'm going to fill that house and the bible says that the glory of the lord filled the house it was so overwhelming that the preachers couldn't preach the musicians forgot their notes the singers forgot it was just so overwhelming because the glory of the lord had filled the house up to that point it's just an empty temple of perfection magnificent now this is the part that i don't want you to misunderstand what a magnificent structure this one gloria i mean when i drove up i mean i've seen pictures i was like wow and i mean it did my heart good and i was thinking i wonder what that would cost me to build in san francisco um first of all i couldn't even find enough land to do it amen but what a what a beautiful place i mean this is magnificent i would say and i've preached a lot of great buildings but i would say this is probably one of the nicest beautiful i mean it's just it's nice it's nice but i don't think you built this for it just to be an empty temple of perfection i think you knew when you built it we don't want it to be empty we want the glory of the lord to fill this house oh i know where i'm going and every time you come in here and begin to magnify and begin to praise him and honor him something starts shifting in the atmosphere you can sense the presence of god let me i'm trying to do this in the right sequence here's the deal see the bible talks about that the church it's a building built without hands and jesus said upon this rock i will build my church and so when you get to the day of pentecost god had structured the building it was there it was there but when they were in that upper room it's 120 of them 120. you see solomon's temple is a natural illustration for what happened on the day of pentecost the same numbers the same thing that happens and when they were in one accord solomon's temple one voice to be sound we heard making a sound it's all symbolic to what was going to happen on the day of pentecost and so god looked down at the structure and said yeah i paid a pretty price for that right there but the fact is it's just empty but on the day of pentecost when it was fully come suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind watch it watch it and it filled all the house where they were sitting and there appeared to them clothing tongues like as a fire and it set upon each of them and they were all filled with the holy ghost and begin to speak in another language the spirit he gave utterance and cloven tongues of fire and all the stuff and all but i want you to notice something there the bible said that it filled the house before it filled a person and if you want people to be filled with the spirit in this church it's got to fill the house how does it fill the house well we're offering god what he wants we're magnifying him when we're glorifying him there's nothing like it there's nothing like it all of a sudden you've been in those services it just moves in and it just takes over now now i mean uh i don't know last month or so in san francisco i i i'm just going to tell you about us we've had two or three services where there's no preaching in in the how long have i been there i launched the church plan of the church in old five so whatever that is 17 years whatever it is i i count on one hand how many services that we've had that there wasn't preaching but all of a sudden it's just like in the last month it's been two or three services people begin to rejoice and worship and praise him and the glory of the lord fills the house i kind of i've been to places where i know preaching is the best thing i heard brother tinney say something one time he said you know people say i'm there for the best part of the service which is the word and he said well who's it best for he said your worship is the best thing for god preach is the best thing for you so yeah i'm just here for the word i'm just here to get the best well god's asking you why don't you give me the best i i want something out of this too and when you begin to magnify me and i'm not preaching at you here today when you begin to magnify him something god says hey this is to me this is the best part of the service now now here we go man i know where i need to end uh well maybe i ought to go there first let's take a vote let's do it this way i'll go here first and then we'll end over here your body your body is fearfully and wonderfully made have you ever just studied how the body functions i mean this stuff that bang here we are you're crazy where do people come up with some of this nonsense i mean if i have the time i go into a lot of your eyes millions of receptors and light your ears fold in vibrations and your bodies is miles and miles of vessel veins and arteries and you've got lungs that absorb and get rid of the poison and and your heart that beats and oscillates so i think it's a i don't remember i we probably got medical people here if if i'm not telling the truth just act like i am right now amen and it oscillates and pumps i mean i had to think a hundred thousand times or something and sends what is it so much blood through all those veins and vessels and then you got your skeletal system and then you got muscles and stuff and all of that gives you agility to move i mean you were fearfully and wonderfully made but the problem is you may be fearfully and wonderfully made but you're empty you're empty when god created adam i think that adam house the spirit of god was full of the spirit and presence of god the day you eat the fruit of that tree you're going to die we know that adam didn't die physically but he died spiritually so now he's just an empty container something made in the image of god i mean how much more perfect can that be but he's empty and every human being sense comes into the world empty temples of perfection so i don't know who's here today but i will tell you that without the holy ghost you're just an empty temple but know ye not that your body is the temple of the holy ghost so god sees the value of you he says this is where my image is but i want my spirit to fill you and we are complete in him without the holy ghost we're just empty walking temples perfect in our creation but empty but i'm glad as a boy of eight years old a little town in southeast missouri called kenneth the preacher preached i went down to the altar just as a kid and lifted my hands snotting and crying before long i went to talking in tongues and magnifying god i was baptized that same night in the wonderful name of jesus now i tell people that i got the holy ghost when i was eight it didn't get me till i was about 16. but that night god filled me with the holy ghost i was so excited about it i went home and i got on the phone my grandpa was an apostolic preacher and they were living in phoenix at the time and i called my grandma and grandpa and i said i got something to tell you and my grandpa said i can already tell by your voice you got the holy ghost tonight didn't you i said i did grandpa and i'm here today to tell anybody if there's anybody here that's not filled with the holy ghost you don't have to live the rest of your life empty just a container you weren't just created in the image but you were created in the likeness and i don't want to contradict anything you teach but to me image is that this is this but likeness is god it's his nature and god never intended for you just to be a container and not have the content that was supposed to be in the container well i won't pause there just a second you know here's the fact is the day you through that tree you're going to die now i personally believe again you can straighten this one out i personally believe that when jesus would say a certain man he literally had somebody in mind and when he says a certain man that was going to jericho and he fell among thieves watched he stripped of his raiment robbed of his possessions as left half dead i don't know how you judge half dead you don't take people to the emergency room and say i think they're about 40 dead he's half dead jesus specifically said half dead i personally think that he was in reference to adam adam was robbed of his possession stripped of his raiment and was left half dead what do you mean half dead i mean he's now dead to the spirit but he's alive to the flesh and that's why the holy ghost is referred to as a quickening spirit it means to make a lie so you're half dead without the holy ghost oh you're alive to the flesh but oh when the holy ghost comes and it quickens that spirit within you now your eyes are open to the kingdom now you can think kingdom thoughts all right all right all right all right i'm i'm starting to get a little hungry i can tell you that right now that's good for you amen now here's the deal everybody say glory glory what is glory we sing a lot about it now listen if i if you guys sing these songs i say this everywhere i go so i'm not picking on y'all okay but i i hear a lot of songs we sing that are not biblical oh boy i'm starting to feel like the lone ranger up here right now amen and sometimes i just sit there and listen to it i'm like what in the world that's not even biblical and we sing a lot of songs about glory but yet we think we kind of know what it is but what really is it who what's glory see i think some people mistake presence with glory you can go to church and feel the presence of god and a lot of churches do but that's not his glory well it's quiet in here right now that's not his glory see the word glory i think if whatever you'd use docs or whatever but it deals with intrinsic wealth hey can i go down there and preach do i need to stay up here all right because i then i get close enough to see what i'm shooting at then it it deals with intrinsic wealth glory is weighty it's tangible it's literally something you can see all right now in the old testament the bible talks about how god adorned israel with all this ornamentation and i've had people ask me what does that mean you know i mean boy he talks about all kinds of stuff stuff that we apostolics would say no no no that's a no-no but what you have to understand is is there was no currency then there was only gold and silver and for a man to show his wealth he put it on his wife and he was telling you this is my wealth this is my glory it's intrinsic wealth it's weighty it's substance it's something that you can see so when we start talking about god's glory don't mistake god's glory with his presence because when his glory comes into a service it's something that you can see i don't know if i believe that or not well i'm glad you don't believe it that gives me a chance to explain it even more i've looked at that word what what help me holy ghost understand glory in the beginning was the word and the word was with god and the word was god right word is logos it's thought or expression of thought you see the the uh gnostics and the greeks taught something they taught that everything was logos meaning everything is just a thought and what they would teach is is that some deity somewhere is having a thought in other words it'd be like this you're not really sitting on this front pew some god somewhere is just thinking this so you're not really real you're just logos so they taught that you have to have a thinker a deity and the thinker has to have a thought and that's all it is this is where it stops when nothing but logos well that was creeping into the church and so john and his epistle deals with it he said this is he that came by water and blood not by water only but by water and blood and there are three what is it there are three that bear witness in the earth the water the blood and the spirit and these are these agree in one now when he's talking about water and blood there he's not talking about coming out of jesus side this is this is he that came not she the church is feminine it would mean she came but he this is he that came by water and blood water and blood is the components of your humanity so when john is using water and blood he's talking about humanity so he's in reference to jesus christ yes there are three that bear record in heaven the father the word and the holy ghost and these three are one but now watch this is john's epistle this is what he's dealing with john writes his epistle before he wrote his gospel everybody good and so now in his gospel he says it like this in the beginning was the word and the word was with god in the beginning was the thought and the thought was with the thinker so this thinker had a thought that's what he was saying he's dealing with the gnostics this thinker had a thought now i'm going to make a play on words here in just a second so hang on here this thinker had a thought that's really what he was saying in the beginning was the word the words with god the word was god so you can't separate the thinker from the thought they're one amen just like you have a thought it's not my thought it's your thought i don't even want to know what your thoughts are amen are you single yeah i don't want to know what your thoughts are i'll tell you that right now she may be in the building so i don't want to know your thoughts right now amen now here's the deal but john goes on and he makes the statement and the logos was made flesh and we beheld his glory see logos is thought it's invisible can't see it now when it's spoken you can hear it but it's invisible but jesus christ is the express image of the invisible god so when you bishop when you looked at jesus christ it was something you could see who john goes on right down through that first chapter and he says no man has seen god but jesus christ has come from the bosom of the father to declare him that doesn't mean to speak it that means to manifest him so when you see jesus christ according to paul writing to the corinthians when you've seen jesus christ you sing the glory of god in the face of jesus christ so anytime you see that which is invisible made visible that is glory come on think about it all right let me let me is this am i going too long okay all right all right now i'm not sure i'm not sure what time y'all usually get out of here you see that speaker right there that speaker didn't just appear some brainiac somewhere has a logos which is creative power in the beginning god created logos god has a thought jesus christ was not existing back there with god in the very creation he was in the thought of god it was logos but the logos became was made flesh let me tell you one of the reasons why i could never understand the trinitarian doctrine let me tell you one of the main reasons is they say that jesus is the eternal son of god then why in the world didn't the devil know who he was and the temptation if thou be the son of god now if he was eternal and the lucifer was at the throne leading all this choir stuff i was talking to you about he said oh hey i remember you junior you were playing with the holy ghost around the throne of your father you were trying to catch that dove i remember you and the word was made flesh now watch this so some brainiac somewhere is sitting there and he starts imaging he has this thought he sees it how these guys do this stuff you kind of look like a brainiac to me know you just got that look to you amen and so let's just say you okay i mean you're into all this stuff and all so years and years ago you start studying and all and you start understanding sound and all and then you see that but you seen it here it was invisible but that is glory because what was logos or thought when it was made this is the glory of the thinker his thinker went beyond just having a thought the thinker went beyond just some of you look at me like what in the world are you trying to say okay let me put it to you like this the thinker had a thought the thought become a thing how's that the thinker had a thought you can't separate the thinker from the thought so the thinker and the thought one become a thing which is jesus christ because in him brought all the fullness of the godhead bodily all right now that's glory that's glory that would be jesus christ all right does everybody understand that so that's that's the ability that god gave you is that he put creative power in you thought i mean you ought to be sitting here trying to oh i'm picking on you really bad today don't sit there tonight okay all right i mean you you you could have this thought we were sitting there talking uh the day before or yesterday with brother thompson who's a walking genius he pastors in cleveland ohio i mean the guys he really is he's just a walking genius and he starts talking about this app and all this stuff and all and i was kind of like what i mean he's got it he sees it he sees it and he's trying to explain it to me and that's where a lot of the prophets were they seen it they were trying to explain it to you so i finally said but thompson just get it done so i can see it just get it done create it then explain to me how it's supposed to work and i'll attempt to do it if not i'll call my grandkids they'll tell me how to work it amen but the fact is is this is how it all works so each of you sitting here you really do have creative power it's your thought but i don't want it just to be thought or logos i want it to become glory i've set this church up now here's the million-dollar question do you want to be a word church or a glory church are you hearing me do you want to be a word church or a glory church i don't know what you mean see how simple it is you won't preach about healing or you won't see it you won't just preach about deliverance just get the thought from the scripture our god can set you free whom the sun sets free it's free indeed you just want to hear that spoken you just want to read it or would you like like to see it oh you can feel his presence when his words being spoken because it's hard to separate spirit from his word but the fact is i don't want to just hear it preach and feel the anointing of it we're going to preach about people getting the holy ghost we're going to preach about redemption and salvation i don't want to just preach about it i'd kind of like to i don't want to just quote scripture by his stripes i'm healed i i i want to see something happen and the holy ghost told me to challenge you here today with this do you want to be a work and i'm going to tell you you got a word smith and a preacher premier i mean you got it right here but i know his heart by the little bit i've been around him but i can tell you right now he is a person that says no no no i don't just get up and preach about this stuff i i really would like to see these things happen so now it comes down to the congregation do you want to be a word church or do you want to be a glory church do you want to just hear about the things of god do you want to be a generation that's never seen a miracle or do you want to be a part of something that when you come to the house of god it's kind of like solomon's temple the glory filled the house the chicana the tangible the real thing filled the house you got a beautiful temple here but without the glory it's just an empty temple of perfection but all when the people of god say by faith i want it to be more than just logos i want it to be more than just stalk i want to see it i want to see my children saved i want to see my husband talking in tongues i want to see that loved one delivered i want to see it sit down one second and i'm done so five o'clock lord woke me up this is what he said when i made man he is my glory jesus talked about a parable people that made all kinds of excuses i married a wife bought five yoke of oxen bought some property you don't buy tractors and then go look at them which would be oxen but tractors are our term you don't buy real estate sight unseen if you do i got some real estate i'd like to sell you here today and i married a wife that was just a proverbial statement just tell you leave me alone i don't want to tell you the real excuse so sorry amen no in other words these were just excuses that people were making and it says with one consent they begin to make excuse is there only one real purpose reason they begin to make excuses so jesus said all right forget them go on the highways and the byways compel them to come in they went come in they brought some in she said no go back out go back out my house shall be filled so what's the real manifestation of god's glory in this building it's not just miracles it's you it's you you're made in his glory paul's very clear about it can you take just a little bit more here see the bible paul tells the corinthians that you go from glory to glory so i i've tried to understand that and the best way that i can explain it to you this is how i say it is any time that i read the word of god in obedience i flesh it out what i'm fleshing out is revealing glory so in other words when i go from glory to glory i'm going from depth to death remember i started by telling you that glory is weighty and even paul alluded to that he talked about the weight of this future glory so it's weighty the process of christianity is as paul said is that you go from glory to glory and that's not just one giant leap it literally would be you go from glory to glory from that glory to another glory from that one to another one until ultimately you end up in what we would call glorified full of glory jesus is on the mount of transfiguration and i don't know where to go he's in the mount of transfiguration and the bible says that uh he begins to glow like a light bulb now understand light is not shining on him light is shining out of him and ultimately he is showing now remember he's got he's got uh he's got moses and elijah he's got three apostles so he has the law he has the prophets and he has the apostles on the mount of transfiguration transfiguration because they are going to bear witness this is where john says if we receive the witness of men the witness of god is great if we receive the witness of god that's a great witness but the witness of god is greater which he had testified of his son i don't get going boy i could get sidetracked right there and get into sonship and we ain't got time for that hey man because i really am getting hungry out there and and so he's standing there and he's going like a light bulb what he's showing them is this is what i will look like my future glory this is what i will look like glorified now john sees it on the man of transfiguration but when he writes in his revelation he says it like this and what is the 22nd chapter i think in the city where the lamb is the light meaning that the veil of the flesh has been removed and all that is there is a glorified body but the process of christianity is to take you from glory to glory in other words i'm reading the word this is what the word says i'm going to obey and i'm going to do it and when i'm fleshing that out i'm growing not only in my knowledge but i'm growing in glory i'm revealing more of god that's a bible study amen i'm revealing more of god i go from glory to glory until one of these days one of these days bishop this is what paul meant when he said forgetting those things which are behind i pressed toward the mark of the prize of the high call paul is talking about glorification i'm thankful from where i was and the glory that was manifested through me and by my life but that's not ultimate i'm going to press on i'm not going to lose that but i'm going to add to it and i'm going to keep on till i awake in his likeness and in his image and that's what christianity is really all about you go from two and you never stop from two from two oh boy from two there's no place to stop well i think i got as much as i need are you glorified now a few of you think you are but i i hate to tell you you're not amen you're not glorified yet so where do you level off well i got enough glory i'm happy with what i got man i feel something in the holy ghost right now let me pick on you just a second all right come on up here you got good insurance yeah okay i just want to make sure all right now i want to show you something transitions transitions are hard they're tough they really are now i want you to turn around face that step right there see this is where you're at man i feel a word right here this is where you're at this is your present location and human nature is to stay where you're presently at because you're secure there you're safe there you feel comfortable there you do it and churches do it david said to a prophet i won't build god's house prophet said yeah go ahead and build god house then the prophet comes back said the lord said no no no no you're not going to build it and this is what he said he said david when did god ever ask anybody to build him a house now it's gonna happen but he's always gone from tent to tent from tabernacle to tabernacle temples are yeah permanent good you know it's there it's done so you don't want to be a temple church you want to be a tabernacle church you want to have the ability to move from where you're presently at to go to the next rung in the ladder and god say i'm going to reveal more glory oh boy don't get comfortable with where you're at right now i'm challenging this church now i mean you're a great church there's no doubt about it but don't think we've arrived this is as far as we're going to go because i'm telling you you haven't even begun to see where god wants to take you and i'll tell you in the holy ghost this build is way too small and god's going to fill this house with more people and that's going to reveal his glory all right all right sit down sit down and i'll wrap it up now listen the psalmist said my feet stand in an even place you know what that means as long as you keep those feet level especially in war it's harder for me to knock you over that's what he meant it's a war term they taught the men on the front line keep your feet level because if you one foot gets elevated above another you're out of balance you're not balanced go up on one leg see i can push you over a lot quicker with one leg so transitions are tough transitions bring about vulnerability that's why you hate them you're secure you want to stay right where you're at and god says i'm not going to leave you there i'm fixing to mess with your stuff i'm going to mess with your security i'm going to mess with your comfort i'm going to make you feel vulnerable because i didn't plan for you to stop there and i'm telling this church in the holy ghost today and i'm not rebuking you but god never intended for you to do this and to stop here there's another transition and some of you are going to kick against it but i'm telling you in the holy ghost you're going to feel vulnerable every one of you that god starts a transition in your life now you ready all right you lift that right leg and lift it up now not only are you vulnerable because what's happening law of nature i'm weaker it's called gravity as long as that legs put your leg back down there's no resistance but the moment you start to lift that leg you're fighting gravity so the moment that you start a transition it's automatic resistance you think you can go to the next step there you go that's exactly what god was doing covid shook the church i rebuked covey bear be careful what you're rebuking all right palmer worm caterpillar what's the other one all those worms he said this is my great army that i sent among you god knows exactly how to get the attention of the church and he knows how to get the attention of the world and we kind of leveled off in a pretty safe place we had strong economy we had a president we thought that was where am i at what state of mind we had a president in there that we thought was pro-christian crowed you and i believe he was and so man we thought we had it i mean all of a sudden and we didn't see coven coming down the bike and then the next thing you know boom we get hit with coven and then you know politics and elections and economy you ought to come to california i i got a diesel truck and i'm paying 649 a gallon for diesel fuel i just always want to say thank you mr president i appreciate that gift that you gave us amen and here we go all this stuff and so a lot of our churches bishop they just said let's just let's just get through this and then let's just go back because where we were at we want to make it permanent and god said you're not going to make that permanent you're not going back there i'm going to transition you to the next level i'm going i feel the holy ghost i'm going to move you to the next dimension and i'll do whatever i got to do to get your attention and so buddy we get leveled off and we're safe and we're secure and everything's fine and god's good and the family's good and then the next thing you know a disease a sickness or the next thing you know your kids start acting crazy or the next thing you know your job takes a hip and your wealth takes a hit might as well get ready for it i said god will mess with your stuff to get you from where you're at to where you need to go and god is calling all the apostolics right now i need you to step up that's what i feel step up i'm done and when you get there rest up and enjoy it but that's not it i go step back down i go from glory to glory from glory to glory the platform's glorification you won't stop where you're at you won't say i got enough revelation got enough word out on anything else or do you want to keep going you want to keep going until you're conformed to the image of his dear son and so you just keep going thank you for where i'm at thank you for your goodness thank you for your mercy thank you for what you've done but i'm not going to stop until i hear him say well done thou good and faithful servant so do whatever you got to do god to keep me moving up that ladder of glory just remain standing thank you sir hallelujah so how do you want to end today i heard your pastor say it and we want to see miracles so we got a choice here right now we can say man we felt the presence of god and the logos and god shared with us through the preaching his thought or would you like to see it become a thing so if you need a miracle in your body i don't want to just preach to you that god can heal i'm expecting god to heal somebody today i'm not just going to preach about you any of the holy ghost i'm expecting somebody see you've got to expect that it's going to go from thought to thing this could be the moment that the the very thing that god spoke to me this could be my moment for it to become reality can i say one more thing boy this gun me during service and i i've lied to you two or three times i said i'm done it's kind of like the apostle paul he's saying finally brethren then he'd write another chapter or two and then and finally brother and hit it right so i think this is my final finally brethren i want you to remember this this is a revelation that god gave me only god can be the beginning and the end at the same time only god can be the beginning and the end at the same time so when god speaks to you logos rhema be rhema by then he speaks to you he's already at the finished product he's already standing he's eternal god doesn't have it yesterday god doesn't have it tomorrow god lives in an ever-present now so when he speaks to you this is the miracle that i'm going to give you this is the blessing that i'm going to give you and you're sitting there wondering well will that really come to pass i mean it's in your thoughts see what you don't understand is from where god is he's already standing there where it's done now it's a matter of you saying i expect it this is where faith faith is the substance substance things hoped for the evidence of things not seen so i'm going to walk on by faith and when the fullness of the time it's come christ born of a woman fullness of time i feel the holy ghost so strong right now it's all about the fullness of time because god's standing where it's already full but he's asking you just keep moving with time just keep believing it keep speaking it keep declaring it keep declaring it until it's full and brother when it's full it's going to happen and i'm preaching to people right now god made you promises a long time ago and i feel i feel this i feel this paul tells timothy now concerning the prophecies that went before on thee that thou by them mightest war a good warfare timothy was forgetting the promises and the prophecies fear is taking him over and paul said i'm going to stir you up i want you to start remembering what the logos and what the rhema was in your life i want you to remember what i prophesied to you i want you to remember what i spoke to you what i promised you and when you start remembering i want you to come up swinging and letting the devil know i'm going to get there i'm going to stand there when it becomes a thing i'm going to rejoice when it becomes a reality you're not going to take my promise i said you're not gonna take that's why god's word can't return to him void he's already there but you're not gonna take my promise you're not gonna steal my promise i'm headed toward the promised land i don't care what kind of resistance i don't care what the devil's saying man i feel some faith come in this place right now i don't care what the enemy's been telling you i don't care how much he tells you this is it's already gone it's already too far it's been i mean how many years ago was that spoken and i know he told you he's going to save your kids and i mean now they're not just six pack a day they drinking like they never drink and they're smoking and cussing and swearing and acting stupid and getting further and further and further away from god and the devil says see there see there see there god lied to you but i hate to remind you why i don't hate to remind you i'm going to remind you that god is not a man that he should lie neither is he the son of man that he should repent if he said it if he said it it's already done it's just a matter of the logos becoming a thing somebody ought to go to war for your prophecy right now somebody ought to go to war for the promise that god made you right now somebody ought to start praying in the holy ghost i said come on down to the altar and go to war i'm not letting go that promise i'm gonna keep taking another step till i get there i'm gonna keep speaking it listen i want you to pray in the holy ghost i mean open that mouth of yours and let him pray through you that's him pray in the holy ghost declare war in the spirit miracles are going to happen in this altar deliverance is about to happen fulfillment is happening in this altar right now
