Let's give the Lord a great praise tonight. He's worthy. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. Aren't you thankful to be in the house of the Lord tonight? And it's so good to be home. Jesus said that a prophet is not without honor saving his own country. And what he was saying was it's tough to go back to somewhere where you grew up where everybody knows you and minister. So I count this a high honor, the highest honor cuz in this crowd are a bunch of people that knew me back way back. And for you to let me come back and still preach, I appreciate that very very much. And uh I I just hope some of you have got gotten to the age where you've forgotten a lot of the things I did. And uh but I'm so thankful to be here. Once again, give tremendous honor to the Mcools, the Whitley's, some of heaven's greatest people. And I love and appreciate them very, very much. I'm so glad my mom and dad are here tonight. I love them very, very much. My beautiful wife, beautiful daughter, my youngest son, Braxton, and uh my grandbaby, Hindi Crew. No one ever told me how great it was going to be. I didn't believe them anyway being a grandpa. There's nothing better on planet Earth than being a grandpa. And I love my family, my brother, and my sister-in-law, my nephews, and each and every one of you all. Thank you for being faithful to the house of God. Thank you for being here in God's house on this beautiful, beautiful evening. If you have your Bibles, I invite you to turn with me to the book of Judges. Judges the 13th chapter verse 17. And if you're going to wait to get with me tonight, you're going to wait too long because I'll be done. Judges 13 verse 17 says, "And Monoah said unto the angel of the Lord, what is thy name that when thy sayings come to pass, we may do the honor?" And the angel of the Lord said unto him, why askkest thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret or that word secret there means wonderful. So Manoah said, "What is can I ask what your name is so we can give you honor?" And the angel said, "Why do you ask my name? It's a secret." So there are two different types of wording about angels in scripture. One says an angel of the Lord and the other says the angel of the Lord. And many theologians believe that when the Bible says the angel of the Lord like it does here in Judges 13 that the angel is a theophony which is a actual physical manifestation of God. So when he was asking what is your name? He's asking God basically what what's your name? And the angel said it's a secret. So, I want to preach to you tonight for just just a few minutes on this thought. An angel with a secret. Would you set your Bible down? Would you lift your hands? Would you lift your hearts? Can you help me right now and pray? Lord, we love you. We thank you for your spirit. >> We thank you for your anointing. We thank you for your people. God, speak to us tonight. God, anoint me to preach tonight, God. Lord, let us leave here different than what we walked in, God. Let let your name let your spirit do a great work in this place in each and every life, each and every heart, every circumstance, every problem, every pain. God, we ask you to move like only you can in the matchless mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen. Can we clap our hands one more time? And the Bible says not only to clap but to shout. Can we add a shout? Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you for standing. You may be seated. In Genesis 4 and 26, it says, "Then began men to call upon the name of the Lord." Men began to call on the name, but they did not know the secret. Genesis 21:33, "And Abraham planted a grove in Beerseba and called there on the name of the Lord, the everlasting God." Abraham called on the Lord without knowing the secret. Genesis 22:14. And Abraham called the name of that place, Jehovah Gyra. This is where Abraham prophesied to his son Isaac about the Messiah when he said, "God will provide himself a lamb." But the father of faith didn't know the secret. Genesis 32:29. And Jacob asked him and said, "Tell me, I pray thee thy name." And he said, "Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name?" SO AFTER HIS ALL-IGHT wrestling match, the newly named now limping Israel wanted to know the secret, but an angel with the secret wouldn't reveal it to him. Exodus 3:13. And Moses said unto God, "Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, the God of your fathers has sent me unto you, and they shall say to me, what is his name? WHAT SHALL I SAY UNTO THEM?" And God said unto Moses, I am that I am. And he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I am hath sent me unto you. So Moses inquired about THE SECRET. BUT GOD SAID, I AM will have to be enough for now. EXODUS 6 AND2. AND GOD SPAKE unto Moses and said unto him, I am the Lord. And I appeared unto Abraham, and to Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty. But by my name Jehovah was I not known to them. God said that he appeared unto them, and he made his covenant with them, BUT HE DIDN'T EVEN TELL THESE PATRIARCHS OF his people his secret. Exodus 17 and 15. And Moses built an altar and called the name of it Jehovah Ni. Moses called him Jehovani, which means the Lord is our banner. Moses talked face to face with God. But Moses didn't even know the secret. Exodus 23 and 20, "Behold, I send an angel before thee to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of him, and obey his voice. Provoke him not, for he will not pardon your transgressions, for my name is in him." untold millions of liberated Hebrew slaves. THESE WILDERNESS WANDERERS FOLLOWED an angel carrying the secret all the way to the promised land. Exodus 34:14. For thou shalt worship no other god. For the Lord whose name is jealous is a jealous God. Jealous but his name was still a secret. Judges 6 and 24. Then Gideon built an altar un there unto the Lord. And he called it Jehovah Shalom. Gideon called him Jehovah Shalom, which means the Lord is peace. But Gideon didn't know the secret of the prince of peace. Psalms 8:1. Oh Lord our God, how excellent is thy name in all the earth, who has set thy glory above the heavens. The secret tonight is excellent. For the secret is majestic in all the earth. Uh Psalms 20 and 7. Some trust in chariots uh and some in horses. Uh but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. The song singing stones slinging shepherd. Put his trust in the secret. Psalms 34 and3. Oh magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt his name together. David, a man after God's own heart, didn't even know the secret, but he knew the power in agreement and a unified praise to the secret. Psalm 61 and 8, so will I sing praise unto thy name forever. The psalmist was writing and praising and singing about the secret. Proverbs 18 and 10, the name of the Lord is a strong tower. The righteous runth into it and is safe. the wisest man to ever live. He didn't even know the secret. But King Solomon understood the power of the secret. And 12 chapters later, the author of Proverbs would ask for help to the great mystery. He was searching for the secret. He was seeking for the secret. And he asked a series of questions about the secret in Proverbs 30 and4. Who hath ascended up into heaven or descended? Who hath gathered the wind in his fist? Who hath bound the waters in a garment? Who hath established all the ends of the earth? What is his name? And what is his son's name? If thou canst tell, the prophet that would prophesy more than anyone else in the Bible about the sooncoming Messiah. He gives us a glimpse, just a whisper of the secret in Isaiah 9 and6. For unto us a child IS BORN. UNTO US A son is given. And the GOVERNMENT SHALL BE UPON HIS SHOULDER. And his name shall be called wonderful. Remember what secret means? It means wonderful. COUNSELOR, THE MIGHTY GOD, the everlasting father, and the prince of peace. Isaiah 42:8. I am the Lord. That is my name and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. I am the Lord. He said, "That's all you GET FOR NOW, BUT MY name is still a secret." Isaiah 52:6, "Therefore, my people shall know my name. Therefore, they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak. Behold, it is I." THE LORD TALKS ABOUT A soon coming day, a day when his PEOPLE WILL KNOW HIS NAME. BUT AT THIS POINT, it is still a secret. Jeremiah 23 and5 behold the days come sayaeth the Lord that I will raise unto David a righteous branch and a king shall reign and prosper and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In his days Judah shall be saved and Israel shall dwell safely. And this is his name whereby he shall be called the Lord our righteousness. So the prophet Jeremiah might have foreseen the future, but he could not foresee the secret. Daniel 10:12. Then he said unto me, "Fear not, Daniel, from from the first day that thou did set thine heart to understand and to chasen thyself before thy God. Thy words were heard, and I have come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withtood me one and 20 days. But lo, Michael, I like that name. One of the chief princes came to help me and I remained there with the kings of Persia. So the angel came when Daniel began to pray. But the angel was carrying the name that could have defeated the enemy if THE SECRET WOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN REVEALED. The angel could have used that name and in one moment the enemy would have been defeated and he would have BEEN THERE THE FIRST TIME THAT DANIEL PRAYED. But he was delayed for 21 days BECAUSE THE SECRET HAD NOT BEEN REVEALED YET. Zechariah 14:9. And the Lord shall be king over all the earth. >> AND IN THAT DAY SHALL THERE BE ONE LORD AND his name one. SEE THE OLD TESTAMENT HAD MANY, MANY NAMES FOR THE ONE TRUE GOD. THE Lord Yahweh, ELOHIM, EL SHADAI, ADONI, JEHOVAH, Jehovah Gyra, JEHOVAH NI, JEHOVAH RAFA, Jehovah Shalom, JEHOVAH SHAMA. BUT THE PROPHET JEREMIAH OR Zachchariah prophesied that THERE WOULD BE A DAY THAT there would ONLY BE ONE AND THAT EVERY NAME FROM THE OLD TESTAMENT WOULD BE SUM SUMMARIZED IN THE SECRET OF THE NAME THAT WOULD BE REVEALED IN THE NEW TESTAMENT. Malachi 3:16 then they that fear the Lord spake after one to another. And the Lord hearkened and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him from them that feared the Lord and that thought upon his name. SO IN THE LAST BOOK of the Old Testament, before the secret would be revealed in the New Testament, they were thinking about the secret. Every prophecy of every prophet was like a royal tailor weaving and sewing the secret, waiting for the right moment in time to reveal the secret. The spirit of the Lord would make sneak peeks into humanity. He would fellowship as a friend to Abraham. HE WOULD WRESTLE ALL NIGHT WITH JACOB. HE WOULD SPEAK face to face with Moses. UH HE APPEARED AS THE FOURTH man in the fiery furnace. But his name remained a secret. 76 generations of patriarchs, priests, and prophets. Not even they could figure out THE SECRET. BUT FINALLY, AFTER 4,000 YEARS OF SECRECY, with 400 prophecies unfulfilled, and 400 years since THE LAST PROPHECY ABOUT the sooncoming Messiah, an angel with A SECRET WOULD FINALLY REVEAL the secret in Luke 1. And in the sixth month, the angel Gabriel WAS SENT FROM GOD INTO A CITY OF GALILEE NAMED NAZARETH. AND THE ANGEL SAID UNTO HER, "FEAR NOT, MARY, FOR THOU HAST FOUND FAVOR WITH GOD, AND BEHOLD, THOU SHALT CONCEIVE in thy womb, AND BRING FORTH A SON, AND THOU SHALT CALL HIS NAME JESUS." THE SECRET WAS OUT. THE ANGEL DIDN'T HAVE THE SECRET ANYMORE. THE NAME JESUS MEANS JEHOVAH SAVES OR YAHWEH SAVES. SO THE OLD TESTAMENT ONLY HAD PART OF THE SECRET. PROPHETS AND PATRIARCHS ONLY HAD A PORTION OF THE SECRET. THE APOSTLE PAUL MADE REFERENCE TO THE secret being revealed in the book of Romans. Now to him THAT IS OF THE POWER TO ESTABLISH YOU ACCORDING TO MY GOSPEL AND THE PREACHING OF JESUS CHRIST, according to the revelation of the mystery that was kept sent secret since the world began, but now is made manifest. and by the scriptures of the prophets uh according to the commandment of the EVERLASTING GOD MADE KNOWN TO ALL NATIONS uh for the obedience of faith. Can I tell you tonight there IS POWER IN that name THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. JESUS SAID, "FOR WHERE TWO OR THREE ARE GATHERED TOGETHER IN MY NAME, THERE I AM IN THE MIDST OF THEM." JESUS SHOWS UP WHEN WE GATHER IN THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. AND THESE SONS SHALL FOLLOW THEM THAT BELIEVE IN MY NAME. THEY SHALL CAST OUT DEVILS. DEMONS TREMBLE AND HAVE TO FLEE AT THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. And whatsoever YOU ASK IN MY NAME, THAT WILL I DO. IF YOU ASK ANYTHING IN MY NAME, I WILL DO IT. PRAYERS are answered in the name that was ONCE A SECRET. REQUESTS ARE FULFILLED IN THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. >> See if YOU KNOW THIS ONE. ACTS 2:38. THEN PETER SAID UNTO THEM, "REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED EVERY ONE OF YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST FOR THE REMISSION of sins, AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST. WE ARE BAPTIZED IN THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE KEPT SECRET." I CAN JUST HEAR I CAN JUST HEAR PASTOR MCOOL AT THE OLD BUILDING SINGING, I'M SO GLAD THAT I'VE BEEN BURIED IN THE NAME OF THE LORD. SINCE THE NAME OF THE LORD HAS BEEN REVEALED AND IF YOU'VE NOT BEEN BURIED IN THAT NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET, TONIGHT IS YOUR NIGHT. YOU NEED TO TAKE ON THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST IN WATER BAPTISM. Acts 3 and 6. Then Peter said, "Silver and gold have I none, BUT SUCH AS I GIVE, I I HAVE GIVE THEE IN the name OF JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH. RISE UP AND WALK." AND HE TOOK HIM BY THE RIGHT HAND. HE LIFTED HIM UP. And immediately his feet AND ANKLE BONES RECEIVE STRENGTH. And he leaping up STOOD AND WALKED AND ENTERED WITH HIM INTO THE TEMPLE, walking and leaping AND PRAISING GOD. I WANT TO TELL SOMEBODY TONIGHT, you can be healed IN THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. ACTS 4:12, NEITHER IS THERE SALVATION IN ANY OTHER, FOR THERE IS NO OTHER NAME UNDER HEAVEN, GIVEN AMONG MEN, WHEREBY WE MUST BE SAVED. THERE IS SALVATION IN THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. Philippians 2:9, WHEREFORE GOD HAS ALSO HIGHLY EXALTED him and given him a name WHICH IS ABOVE EVERY NAME. SEE, THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET IS A NAME THAT IS ABOVE EVERY NAME. OH, you ain't got it yet. LET ME BREAK it down further. ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING THAT WE ARE FACING IN THIS HOUSE TONIGHT, ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING THAT WE ARE DEALING WITH HAS a name. Anxiety, bitterness, cancer, depression, disease, doubt, FEAR, SICKNESS, SIN, THEY ALL HAVE A NAME. BUT MY BIBLE TELLS ME THAT HE HAS A NAME THAT IS ABOVE EVERY OTHER NAME. AND SO IF HIS NAME IS ABOVE EVERY OTHER NAME, EVERY NAME UNDERNEATH HIM IS SUBJECT TO HIS NAME. SO I WAS NO DEVIL IN HELL THAT CAN SCARE ME TONIGHT. I SERVE THE KING OF KINGS AND THE LORD OF LORDS AND HIS NAME IS ABOVE EVERY OTHER NAME. Verse 10, that at the name OF JESUS EVERY KNEE, >> everything >> should bow OF THINGS IN HEAVEN AND things in earth and things under the earth AND THAT EVERY TONGUE SHOULD CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER. CAN I TELL you that one day every knee is going to bow? ONE DAY EVERY TONGUE IS going to confess. That means EVERY AGNOSTIC AND EVERY ATHEIST, EVERY WITCH AND EVERY WITCH DOCTOR, EVERY WIZARD AND EVERY WARLOCK, EVERY BUDDHIST, EVERY MUSLIM, EVERY HINDU, AND YES, EVERY SATANIST. ONE DAY THEY WILL CONFESS THAT THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET IS NOW REVEALED IN JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD. >> Colossians 3:17. And whatsoever you do in word OR DEED, DO ALL IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS, GIVING THANKS TO GOD AND THE FATHER BY HIM. WE PRAY. We preach AND WE CALL OUT FOR HELP IN THE NAME THAT was once a secret. Everything we do should be done in that name that was once a secret. But can I tell you tonight, the secret is out. IT IS NOT A SECRET ANYMORE. His name is Jesus. And there is power in the name that was ONCE A SECRET. THERE IS SALVATION IN THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. THERE IS STRENGTH IN THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. THERE IS PEACE IN THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. THERE IS COMFORT IN THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. THERE'S HEALING IN THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. BLINDED EYES CAN BE OPENED IN THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. DEAF EARS CAN BE UNSTOPPED IN THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. MUTE TONGUES CAN BEGIN TO SPEAK IN THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. CRIPPLED BODIES CAN BE MADE WHOLE IN THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. THE DEAD CAN BE RAISED BACK TO LIFE AGAIN IN THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. BROKEN LIVES CAN BE PUT BACK TOGETHER IN THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. MARRIAGES CAN BE RESTORED IN THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. CHAINS OF ADDICTION CAN BE LOOSED IN THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. SICKNESS AND DISEASE CAN BE HEALED IN THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. AND GUESS WHAT? WE ARE THE PEOPLE OF THAT NAME. AND THERE IS NO OTHER NAME LIKE THE NAME OF JESUS. OH, I WISH YOU WOULD STAND TO YOUR FEET AND BEGIN TO PRAISE THE NAME THAT WAS ONCE A SECRET. HIS NAME IS JESUS. An angel with the secret doesn't have the secret anymore. AND THE SECRET THAT HAS BEEN REVEALED, it can't REMAIN A SECRET. WE ARE THE PEOPLE OF THAT name that used to be secret. But we need to let the world know what the secret is tonight. WE NEED TO LET EVERYBODY THAT WE KNOW KNOW about the secret. We need to let our family and friends know about the name that was once a secret. We need to let our co-workers and our classmates know about the name that was once a secret. We need to let our neighbors and our acquaintances know about the name that was once a secret. I've come to tell you tonight, he is in this place, in this house, UH, WAITING AT THIS ALTAR. AND THERE is power in the name that was now revealed. It's not a secret anymore. And I'm going to challenge somebody. Come pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Come praising in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Come worship me in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Come shout in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Come be delivered in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Come be healed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I receive the Holy Ghost in the name that was once a sick.
