Summary
Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
We Can Come Boldly to God
- We have a Heavenly Father who cares about us, and we can come boldly and directly to him each and every day with any need or situation we face.
- We begin our day with prayer, in relationship with him, saying our needs and desires and the strength we need for that day.
- Life distracts us into thinking we have to handle it all on our own, but Jesus came to this world and gave us a way to come to God directly.
Strength Given Daily
- Paul asked the church to pray for him — not because he was afraid, but because he understood the power of prayer and the strength that comes when the church binds together in prayer for those who are leading.
- Jesus even asked his disciples to pray for him in the garden when he faced the soon-coming death on the cross; he understood the necessity of a life of prayer and of those around us praying as well.
- God gives strength on a daily basis: we wonder how we will get through what we face tomorrow, but when tomorrow comes he gives that day's strength, just as he gives today's when we arise and pray.
- Nothing catches God off guard; he knows what we are going to face even before we face it, and we never fall short of what we need for the day.
The Strength of an Eagle
- Isaiah chapter 40, verse 31 talks about the strength of an eagle: the eagle soars through the air with no worry or fretting over whether it will have the strength to rise or whether the wind will carry it higher.
- If we take that approach and put our faith in God alone, we can face today with confidence and boldness, without fear — because fear is not of God.
- Scripture talks about our being ambassadors in bonds — not chains or captivity, but a connection, a direct link with God himself — so when fear comes against us or our family we can speak peace into every situation.
Scriptures: Isaiah 40:31
Closing Prayer
- He thanks God for this day and for the opportunity to come to him boldly, without intimidation, knowing the strength comes from him and that nothing catches him by surprise.
- He prays for the pastor and the leadership of the church, and for their families — boldness, courage, and strength to do what God has called them to do.
- He prays that each and every day we would trust God, find the strength for that day in him alone, and give him the glory.
Scripture index: Isaiah 40:31.

Good morning. My name is Michael Spencer. I'm here today to again, our, or continue our daily devotion on day five of the 21 Days of Break Through Prayer with the Pentecostals of Murph's burl, and with LifeBridge Church. I'm glad that you could join us today as we go through this devotional. Each day someone new will walk you through the devotional for that day. Today we want to encourage you, if you have not read the previous days or seeing those videos, to go back and read through those devotionals and see the video for that day's devotional. Today we want to talk about the entitled Pray That I Speak Fearlessly.
We can come to God, and I'm so glad that we have a Heavenly Father that cares about us, and we can come boldly to him each and every day. We can come to him with any needs that we have, any situations that we face, and he gives us the strength when we ask him for that strength for that day. Sometimes we get distracted in life by simply allowing life to consume us, and thinking that we've got to handle it on our own. But I'm so glad to know that our Father, our Heavenly Father Jesus Christ, has came to this world and gave us a way to come to him directly, boldly, each and every day. We begin our day with prayer, in relationship with him, and we can say our needs, our desires, and the strength that we need to face those situations for that day. He gives us on a daily basis. Twines is so important that we have a life of Prayer, we have that connection, that bond with Jesus Christ, with God, in our life each and every day.
Paul even asked the church to pray for him, not because he was afraid, not that he was fearful, but he understood the power of prayer, and he understood the strength that comes when we bind together in prayer as a church for those who are leading us, those who direct, and who God is, each and every day. Jesus even asked his disciples to pray for him in the garden, when he faced the soon coming death on the cross. He understood the necessity of having a life of prayer, and those around you praying as well, joining together in unity in prayer. God gives us that strength when we ask for it, and it comes on a daily basis.
Sometimes we wonder, how am I going to get through what I've got to face tomorrow? But tomorrow comes, and God gives a strength in that tomorrow, just as today, when we arise and we pray, he gives a strength for this day, each and every day. It's a gift that he gives, and we open it as we become, as we come to him in prayer, and we begin to express our love and appreciation for him, and then in turn the strength that we need for that day. Nothing catches God off a guard. We never run out or fall short of what we need for this very day. He knows what we're going to face even before we ourselves face it.
Isaiah 41, or Isaiah chapter 40 and verse 31, talks about the strength of an eagle. It gives that strength. I had the opportunity this week to observe in nature the eagle and its majesty, is, is soars through the air: no worry, no fretting, not worrying about, if I flap my wings today, am I gonna have strength to rise into the air? Am I gonna have the strength to go where I need to go? Is the winds gonna be there to carry me up higher, so I can go where God has destined me to go? And if we have that approach, and we have that faith, and we put it in God alone, and say, God, I'm facing this today, but I know the strength to get through it comes from you. I don't have to worry: is there gonna be a lack? Is today gonna fall short? But know I can have the confidence and the boldness to go without fear, because fear is not of God. When we read in scriptures, we find that so true: fear is not of God, but God gives us strength, that we can go boldly.
The scripture talks about us being connecting ambassadors in bonds. That doesn't mean in change, in captivity. Bonds is in a relationship. We have a connection with God himself. It is a direct link, that when we feel fear coming against us, or fear encroaching upon us or our family, we can say, God, we're connected with you, and you give us strength, and fear is not a view. And we can speak peace into every situation.
So as we close today, I want to say a prayer. God, we thank you, Lord, for this day. We thank you, Lord Jesus, for the opportunity that we have to come to you, Lord, boldly, not within intimidation, Lord Jesus, but knowing that that strength comes from, even there is no lack, God, in those days when we fail, we're facing something so far greater than maybe we've ever faced before. God, we come to you and know that he didn't catch you off-guard; it didn't catch you by surprise. But God, you give us the strength, and you, Lord Jesus, lead us hand-in-hand to, through that situation, and through each day, God, you give us the strength we need for that day. God, I pray right now for our pastor, for our leadership of the church. God, that you give them boldness, Jesus, to go, to lead into God, and direct. God, lift them up, Lord Jesus, but their families, give them courage and strength, Jesus, to do what you, Lord, have called them to do, and the direction that you've placed them, God, to lead us. Help us, Lord Jesus, got each and every day, to trust you, Lord God, to know that the strength for that day can be found in you, and then you alone. We give you the glory, and we thank you, Jesus.
Thank you for joining us today. Thank you for joining me on day five, Pray That I Speak Fearlessly. Take some time today and read the devotional for yourself, if you've not done so already. Join us alive again tomorrow at 7 a.m. with day six, as we discuss For the Sake of the Gospel. Thank you, and have a blessed day.
