Welcome to Strong Tower Youth Camp 2024!

I don't want to take up too much of your time I've wrestled with this but I just want to share with you what the lord has laid on my heart for this morning if that's all right if you would go with me to the book of Ephesians chapter 6 and verse number 13 this is probably nothing that's just going to blow your mind today this is probably nothing that you have not heard ministered before but again I just want to obey the Lord if that's all right today I just want to obey what I believe the lord has laid on my heart for the student body for each and every one of us today those that may be watching online I pray that that this is for for somebody that is in this place the Bible says wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day having done all to stand somebody say stand would you sit your Bibles down and can we lift our hands all over this room and would you help me pray over the remainder of this service that God would just do whatever he wants to do in this place come on lift your hands lift your voice and let's call on the name of the Lord right now God we love you we honor you we adore you today Jesus God I'm nothing without you lord I give you my heart and my life God we give you this service give you our hands our feet Lord all that we are Jesus open up our hearts to receive what you have for us in this place God we love you Lord submit ourselves to you Lord and give you all that I am today God have your way have your perfect way in this place today and we'll love you we'll thank you we'll praise you for it somebody shout in Jesus name as you're Clapping Your Hands somebody shout amen come on keep that hand clap going for the Lord this morning in Jesus name and you could be seated but as you're seated why don't you highfive one more person and I want you to tell them I'm standing on business stand on business that's what I want to talk to you just for the next few moments in time on is standing on business when I think of this phrase standing on business I think about some of the children that I've have met uh while evangelizing and traveling and and uh and getting to minister with my friend Stephen the pig blessed to serve I'm blessed to serve as don't cheer for him please that's ridiculous blessed to serve as the national Kids Quest director and and I've been able to to to travel and and live this my whole life and and also shout out to my good friend evangelist Ethan hethcox who is here this week he is a he is an amazing amazing Minister and so uh he he can attest to this we we have had some moments in children's ministry where you come across some kids that are they're standing on business they're not playing around they're going to let you know how they feel they're going to let you know how they think and they're just going to be real if you tell them to do something they're just going to you know go right right to it and so uh I I do this bit we're going to go ahead and try it this morning I I I do this bit a lot of times uh whenever I I open up a Kids Quest service called oh clap your hands so the whole gist of this is you got to clap your hands four times all right so we're going to do this Zane you ready zaye my man zaye all right he's gonna help me out okay so we got to try this out you got to clap your hands four times here we go oh clap your hands good some of you can't count that's all right we're going to ignore that okay now stomp your feet one two 3 four there you go slap on your knees get out of your seat okay all right some of you know it some of you know it so when I say get out of your seat you got to stand up throw your hands in the air go wo and sit right back down as fast as you can okay just like good civilized folks of strong tower Youth Camp all right let's try it out get out of your seat that's what I'm talking about shout hallelu amen and then we got to put it all together oh clap your hands now stomp your feet slap on your knees get out of your seat shout hallelujah hallelu amen now we do this over and over and over and over again we speed it up we slow it down and uh and we we eventually get to a part where I just try to have a little bit of fun you know I try to mix things up and uh there's a portion of this where I'll say slap on your knees slap on your other neighbor knees slap on the person the other side of you slap their knees and then I tell everybody to get up and go find somebody that you don't like and slap him in the face and then I stop stop them immediately all right now some of you did what the kids used to do because I used to say look at the person beside you and slap him in the face and then I tried to hurry and say no no no no stop stop it's just a joke Mom Dad I'm sorry work that whole bit we did it at a conference one time brother Zach and we finished everybody laughed everybody chuckled it was a good time and I move on to the next portion of the service and I just hear somebody in the distance sounds like and I look and on the on the front row brother Ethan on the front row there's a kid holding his face and his brother is sitting right beside him just laughing and shaking his hand like he just got the greatest permission he had ever been given in his life so I repented I never went and told his parents it was my fault I'm goingon to be honest today I didn't do it there's some things we got to repent for brother brother Keith right so but I I repented of it and then I had to switch it up a little bit so maybe somebody would stand up and look before they just slap the person next to you like some of you did just a second ago but some of these kids are just standing on business you they don't care if I get the opportunity to slap somebody I might just have to do it you know so they were ready to go when I think of of standing on business I think of the likes of my grandfather Bishop Virgil Harris who was a wonderful wonderful man of God a true man of God and and and just one of the greatest leaders that I've ever had in my life uh he will always be my favorite preacher who's gone on to be with the Lord and uh my my grandfather was the whole essence of being sold out to God when I say sold out I don't mean he just dressed the part I don't mean he just came to church and he shouted like like nobody else did I mean in the restaurant he was sold out and when when he was out and hanging out with other friends and other people people that didn't believe like he did he was sold out if if you went up to him in a restaurant and you were to ask him the question he'd say the same phrase every time if you were to ask him the question uh how how are you doing today how's everything going in your life he'd go my God my God I I done I done messed up I done got the Holy Ghost and I I've been filled with the spirit I spoke in other tongues and I ain't dipped snuff since you're like oh my God hallelujah thank you Jesus praise the Lord and everybody's just turning and looking at him and some of y'all don't got disturbed because I said dips no that was his testimony all right all right hopefully hopefully that's nobody else's right now but but but you know he he he would shout it he did not care he wasn't worried about what anybody else thought he would go up to other people and say have you got the Holy Ghost yet knowing what they believe and knowing what they preach at their own church and and he he did not care my grandfather he hated dead church he hated it when I mean he hated it he hated it if we were in the middle of a worship service in Gilbert Louisiana and the praise team was singing and he felt that nobody was worshiping enough he would get up and he would get out of his seat and walk across the front and he would look at you dead in the eye and hold his hands out and go what are you doing and he'd hold his hands out and look at you and go he said take your left hand take your right hand make a meat in the middle and somebody clap your hands and give God some PR he would do it every time he he would go up to our young people our young people got nervous because my grandfather he would we always sat over here in this section he would walk over to our section if we were sitting down if we were talking if we were laughing he would walk right to you grab you by the hand he wouldn't pick you up and say clap your hands and be sure to focus now he would grab you and he would throw your arm like that and you better start taking off running around the sanctuary otherwise your arm's going to come out of socket because he hated dead church he knew that anytime we were in the house of God that we were here for one reason and one reason only it's not to look good for him it's not to look good for her it is to give God the greatest praise that we have given him yet this is this is the faith the boldness that was instilled in me and I I I I worry sometimes and I also get excited sometimes that that I I I I hope that I have a little bit of that boldness in him he he would be he would be sitting in his chair during the preaching and and and and the man of God would be delivered in the word and and if he felt like people weren't getting behind him enough they weren't giving an amen they weren't saying that's it preach it they weren't clapping their hands behind him enough he would look for me I don't know why he looked for me and the the sanctuary and he would he would find wherever I was we would lock eyes he'd look at me and sit up in his seat and he'd go yeah and that was my cue to holler right back at him in the middle of the preaching yeah I had to be louder if I wasn't loud enough you know what he did he got up further on the edge of his seat and he would look at me almost like he was mad and louder than I did the last time he go yeah and I'm like okay well here we go show and the man's probably preaching wondering what in the world are they screaming yes for they watching the ball game right in the middle of the service I don't know what's happening right now and I'd have to scream yeah right back at him he he he was bold he did not care he he did not sit on the sidelines and let everybody else put in the work and spread the good news while he just did whatever he felt like doing in the moment he was a true man of God who was standing on business he didn't play around with this thing we read in the word of God about a man by the name of David he was a young Shepherd boy who was bringing some food to his brothers and they served in the Israelite Army there are at this moment fighting against this unruly group that is known as the Philistines you know the story he comes to find his brothers dismayed and Afraid according to 1st Samuel 17 and once David realizes what is taking place in the things that Goliath is speaking over the people he boldly declares in verse 37 the Lord that delivered me out of the Paw of the lion and out of the Paw of the bear he will deliver me out of the hand hand of this Philistine I dare to say that David in this chapter was potentially standing on business then King Saul calls for his armor the king's armor King Saul's armor to be placed on David to prepare him for the battle David tries on the armor of King Saul only to find that it is uncomfortable and it is unfamiliar he says I cannot go with these for I have not proved them this armor isn't for me this armor it does not not fit me it was not made for me so he removes the armor his staff in his hand he takes up five smooth stones in his sling and the Bible says that he drew near to the Philistine five smooth Stones his staff his sling in hand and his faith in God was all that he had but it was all that he needed you know the rest of the story how David tells him you come to me with a sword a spear and a shield but I come to you in the name of the Lord he even sounds like he's standing on business how the stone hits Goliath you know it and knocks him down how Israel celebrated victory that day because of the faith of a young man a young Shepherd boy and the unwavering faithfulness of the God that he served but I wonder this morning about that armor I I wonder today how everyone felt how everyone might have wondered and what everyone might have said to themselves when David be to say no I I know that I've committed to taking out this giant I know that I've committed to taking him on but then he starts taking off that that helmet and he begins to take off the the armor that was on his shoulders and that was on his arms and and the brass and the chain mail that was placed up on him I can only imagine the looks that David might have been getting this guy he's he's crazy he he's taking off all this stuff to go to go fight in this battle who does he think that he is what does he think that he has that he can take this guy on without any protection whatsoever he's he's just going to get himself killed but what what the bystanders did not notice was the armor that David already had on before he even walked on the scene a bronze helmet a coat of male and this other gear it might have seemed logical to the naked eye but David had access to a set of armor that nobody else could see in that moment you see today young people David he had had on the belt of Truth he was wearing and wielding the breastplate of righteousness the shoes of the gospel of peace and the shield of faith and wall he did not hold on to that bronze helmet he kept a hold of the helmet of salvation everyone they saw the slingshot and the stone in one hand but it might have been a little bit harder for them to realize the the the sword of the spirit that he was wielding in the other hand I'm telling somebody today that David had on something that King Saul could not give him David had on something that no armorer on any given day of the week could have built and could have prepared for him he had something he couldn't just get from Mom he couldn't just get from Dad he couldn't just download it from the internet and say look at me now David had on something that only God could give him he had on the whole armor of God and we read about this armor in Ephesians 6 our scripture text today 13 the Bible says take to you the whole armor that you may be able to withstand in the evil day having done all to stand somebody say stand stand therefore having your loins GED about with truth this belt that was worn by Roman soldiers was essential for holding the armor together and providing a place to hang weapons truth is the foundation that holds Believers life together it signifies h honesty integrity and faithfulness to God's truth as revealed in the scriptures Matthew 6:24 says no man can serve two masters for either he he will hate the one and love the other or else he will hold to the one and despise the other you cannot serve God and man and I feel the Holy Ghost already in this place today somebody that is trying to serve the world and the word it it makes just about as much sense as somebody who showed up today wearing suspenders and a belt what what which one which one is holding your outfit together bro like come on you you just just pick one you can't you can't wear two you're going to look ridiculous you know there there's only one of those things that is holding you together you've got to pick one there there are some things that will attach to a belt of lust that will not attach to a belt of Truth I hope this is helping somebody this morning there there are some things that will easily hang on to a belt of addiction and anger and pride that won't even last a mill second on the belt of Truth you see I I don't I don't settle for things that don't make sense whenever my whole outfit is held together by the belt of truth if you went up to somebody today and you ask them what makes up roughly about 60% of your body and they say oh I know that Gatorade you would look at them like they're insane right because you know the answer you know the truth it's it's water water makes up roughly about 60% of our bodies you you you would wonder why in the world that they think that but then for some reason if somebody tells us that it's okay to go there and to do this and to do that and to listen to this music and to watch these shows all you got to do is just skip these scenes and everything's going to be okay for some reason we don't think anything of it we don't care to look at them like they're crazy and say no no no that stuff's not right for some reason we feel like we ought to dabble and a little bit of that stuff I want you to know there's some lies that I don't even pay any mind to because everything that I am is being held together by the Gospel of Jesus Christ it's being held together by the truth come on somebody that knows the truth and knows that the truth sets you free you might want to clap your hands right here come on I'm glad I've got the truth yes Jesus God help me God verse 14 said stand therefore having your loins G about with the truth and having on the breastplate of righteousness this breastplate the breastplate it protected a soldier's vital organs particularly the heart righteousness or moral uprightness rather it protects the heart and soul from the attacks of sin and Temptation it involves living in a way that is morally right and in accordance with God's standards second Timothy 2 and22 the Bible says flee also youthful lusts but follow righteousness somebody say righteousness Faith charity peace with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart why don't you tell somebody beside you you better guard your heart come on tell somebody else on the other side of you you better guard your heart you know there are there are some things there are some things that I don't love because of righteousness as a matter of fact there there are some things and there are some people that I don't fall in love with because the righteousness that's covering my heart Ju Just because she's cute does doesn't mean that she's the one young man just because he's got the perfect jawline doesn't mean that he's the one young lady I I I hate to break it to you today but but when you've got on the breastplate of righteousness you won't just look at the outward appearance and and how they seem and how they look on Instagram but you'll begin to ask yourself questions well that's all fine in Dandy yeah they got this yeah they got that but do they pray do they show up to prayer meeting are they faithful to church have they taught anybody a Bible study have they even TR to teach anybody a Bible study do they love their family do they go to church are they the church do they live it do they walk it do they talk it are they unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ I want somebody to know that you can't fall in love with just anything when you're wielding the breastplate of righteousness some of us have been fallen in love with just anything and everything because we're not guarding our heart with righteousness yeah you wear the helmet good yeah you wear the the shoes good but you better make sure that your heart is guarded so you don't not only fall in love but you fall into a pit that you can't get yourself out of come on you got to guard your heart today got to guard your heart it goes on in verse 15 and your feet sha with the preparation of the gospel of peace soldiers they needed sturdy Footwear to March long distances and to stand firm in the battle the go gospel of peace it allows Believers to stand firm and to be ready to spread the message of peace and reconciliation with God it represents being prepared to share the good news of Christ Philippians 4 beginning in verse 6 says be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication and with Thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God verse 7 says and the peace of God which passeth all understanding shall keep your your hearts and Minds through Christ Jesus I recognize these two words standing out more than ever before as I was studying and I Was preparing for this how the peace of God is what keeps your hearts and Minds through Christ Jesus if I am ever in a suit and dress shoes I won't just go and say you know what now's a perfect time to clean out my dog pins go to scoop up all that mess I I don't look at my feet and see these little tassels dangling there and and go you know this is the perfect fit for me to climb up on my roof and start cleaning out the gutters because there's some places I don't go in these shoes there's some places I don't go when I'm wearing such an attire there's some places I will not go because I'm wearing the shoes of the gospel of peace the Bible says that this peace would keep my heart and my mind through Christ Jesus my father-in-law says it like this he would say if it's good enough to set you free it's good enough to keep you free the same holy ghost that called you out the same God that set you free that got you out of addiction is the same God that's going to keep you free 5 years from now 10 years from now you don't grow out of the faith young person you don't grow up and say well now I'm too mature to give God praise come on somebody I'm too mature to clap my hands I'm going leave it to the young people no no matter how old you are how young you are you better make sure that you're walking how you ought to walk that you're living how you ought to live and you better stay away from places that you didn't go when you were so full of the Holy Ghost you better let that stuff keep you today come on you got to let the peace of God keep you I pray that these shoes Keep Me From Evil I pray that the gospel keeps me out of the barroom I pray that it keeps me out of relationships that I should not be in I pray that the gospel keeps me from putting myself into situations that I can't get myself out of I pray today that the gospel it keeps me verse 16 above all taking the shield of Faith where with all you be able to stand you be able to quench the fiery darts of the wicked The Shield it was used to block arrows and other projectiles faith it acts as a shield to protect Believers from the fiery darts of the enemy such as doubt fear and Temptation it signifies complete trust and hope and confidence in the almighty God you know the scripture in Hebrews 11 faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of Things Not Seen but without faith in verse six it is impossible to please him when the adversary is shooting these darts of doubt my way I have to have a shield of faith that keeps me believing words such as yay though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will Fe fear no evil when he is throwing doubt and confusion and saying that I'm all alone and I'm broken and nobody cares about me and I'm never going to make it out of this situation I got to hold up that Shield of faith and remember when he said surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever when the enemy starts telling me you better quit praying because that cancer is not going to go away when he starts telling you God's never going to work it out for you he's never going to deliver you he's never going to heal your body you just as well quit praying for your grandma you just as well quit praying for your loved ones right now I got to hold up that shield and remember when it said by his stripes we are healed somebody ought to hold up the shield of Faith against the enemy come on say what you want to say devil shoot what you want to shoot my way but I've still got faith I've got faith in what he said I've got faith in who he is today verse 17 and take on the helmet of salvation the helmet it protected the head which is crucial for survival salvation it protects the Mind from doubts and fears it represents Assurance of Salvation and eternal life through Jesus Christ guarding the believer's Mind against negative thoughts and despair finally brethren in Philippians whatsoever things are true I'm honest just pure whatsoever things are lovely and of good report if there be any virtue if there be any praise think on these things better make sure you're thinking on the right things today you better make sure your mind is Welling on the right stuff I'm not just talking about when a man of God is preaching or when you're in Sunday school or when they're singing and you're wondering what you're going to eat after service I'm not just talking about that I'm talking about when you're alone in your bedroom and tempt ation starts trying to come against you whatever you start focusing your mind and your heart on in that moment you better make sure that your thoughts are thinking on things such as mentioned in Philippians 4 and8 if you if you are constantly thinking about stuff that is provocative and ungodly you may need to check on which helmet you're wearing today if you if you are I hope this is all right brother Zach if you if you can't stop thinking about certain things you may just want to look in the mirror and that spiritual mirror and make sure that you are wearing the right helmet today Romans 12:2 said be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind somebody whenever you get Jesus Christ whenever you are filled with his Spirit whenever you are sold out to God you don't think what you used to think you don't dwell on what you used to dwell on that stuff that boggles your mind day in and day out it's gone and you're focused on the things of God somebody ought to be thinking different today come on young person that got filled with the baptism of the Holy Ghost you ought to start thinking some things differently this morning you ought to stop thinking thoughts of doubt and confusion and frustration you got to stop walking around and thinking well I don't know if they like me I don't know if they care about me don't worry about that think on the good things that God has for you this week got to be transformed by the renewing of my mind I got to hurry Ephesians 6 and 7 take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit which is the word of God the sword it is a weapon used for offense and defense the sword represents the word of God the Bible it is the only offensive weapon in the armor it's used to counter lives and attacks by knowing and applying the scripture Matthew 4 Bible says man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God you know I I I wonder if the adversary ever laughs at us sometimes at at some folks because they got on this nice helmet they got on these sturdy boots their fully equipped belt this massive shield and a butter knife because that's all the word that they feel like applying to their life we want to use this butter knife to slice up God's word like a piece of cake and just make it taste so sweet to everybody that's around us and even to ourselves we want to lie to ourselves and say that the word's not a sword but it's something that can just ease everything and and help us just to feel better but if if I'm honest with you today there's there's some things from time to time that I find in this book that my flesh doesn't want to hear If we're honest with ourselves today there there there is some stuff that we find in the word of God that it just cuts deep it cuts going in and it cuts coming out and as much as our flesh struggles with the word of God the devil cannot stand for you to know the truth the devil can't stand for you to walk around and know but not only know it but hold that sword up high and apply the scriptures to your life the devil gets mad when he sees a young person walking around and speaking the gospel when when he sees a young person stepping around and moving and living and breathing like they know they got to repent of their sins and like they know they got to get baptized in jesus' name and and living like they know they got to be filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost don't try to pick and choose a little bit of this and a little bit of that I need every word that God has given me last night Pastor Corey Porterfield preached a masterpiece and thank you thank you thank you brother Cory for being bold enough and obedient enough and being a man of your word to God for sharing your testimony with us last night because I believe that we needed it in Jesus name I as he said I I don't want to I don't want to feed things that will never be able to feed and provide spiritual nourishment for me and I believe that a lot of us we grabbed a hold of that and so I think a lot of us last night what we might have done is is put down the things that we used to feed everybody else and and we used our hands to pick up the sword of the spirit and the shield of faith and and I I believe that that you might put on the helmet of salvation tonight whenever my friend evangelist Landon Gore delivers the word you you may lace up the shoes of the gospel of peace tomorrow morning when my friend brother Samuel Von comes and he preaches to us you you may you may wield the breastplate of righteousness on Thursday morning when my brother Pastor Nolan Carpenter brings the word and I pray that every single one of us leaves this week wearing the whole armor of God but David hear me today I I I don't oh my Lord I I don't want to I'm sorry I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings today David David was just bringing some bread and cheese to his brothers on the battlefield he was not going for battle he was bringing food to them and yet he was still wearing the armor I say that to say this young person don't you dare wage war on the enemy in this altar but then you go home this weekend and you take it all off I I I hope somebody's hearing me this morning don't you dare come in here and speak in tongues and shout and dance and lift up the name of Jesus with a voice of Triumph but you go home on Sunday morning and you can't stand up with your pastor preaches the gospel of Jesus young person you better worship like you've never worshiped before you better better walk in your school in August and and and this this next school year like you've never walked before you are to carry the whole armor everywhere you go no matter who's around no matter who's preaching no matter what the song is you are to wear the whole armor don't you dare unbuckle the belt of Truth when you get home just so you can make somebody else feel make somebody else around you feel a little bit more comfortable don't you dare take off the the breastplate of righteousness because they said they loved you and now you don't want to hurt their feelings don't don't don't you dare go home and untie the shoes of the gospel of peace that keeps you just so you can go where everybody else is going and you don't want to feel left out come on somebody don't sit down your helmet of salvation and put on that gaming headset and say words you wouldn't dare say in front of your pastor don't you lay down the sword of the Spirit and the shield of Faith so your hands can be free to text and DM and to follow and to like and to watch filth that you were watching before you got here this week take this whole world take the lust take the pride take the jealousy take it all take the Holy Spirit take everything just give me Jesus come on I don't care what everybody else's helmet is I don't care what you got on your head I want to wear the helmet of salvation I don't care how good your shirt looks today I want to put on the breastplate of righteousness I don't care what else you got in your hands I want to wield The Shield of faith and the sword of the spirit those shoes are nice but I got on the shoes of the gospel of peace somebody say the whole armor somebody shout I'm standing on business be seated for just another moment I'm hurrying I'm sorry I'm sorry I hope this is okay we got to wear the whole armor today time say I'm standing on business DAV come help me bud I'm standing on business this is my buddy Davin this is my little brother-in-law don't he look awesome today I'm G tell you why he's helping me this morning it's not because he loves me I think he does you do right no okay good it's because we we may or may not have promised him a Stanley if he helps me out today so that's that's right so he's going to help me out with this my my my brother-in-law Davin is an awesome awesome young man who is a miracle he and his brother and their older sister Delilah are Miracles that God has blessed our family with my father-in-law and I'm so blessed to call this young man my brother-in-law and and and and he he is just again he's a walk in miracle and I give God all the praise and all the glory for Davin today and he yeah you can go ahead and clap your hands for it if it was your Miracle you'd be shouting and dancing but so Davin Davin and I we like to have some fun we like to have a good time we like Pokemon hopefully nobody judges us for that if you preach against it I'm sorry got to catch them all sorry Davin me and Davin like to play We like to wrestle we like to fight and all that stuff but there's there's one person who does not like like whenever I wrestle Davin it's his little brother Mark he can't stand it I I will I will read you ready you want to try it out see if we can do it I'm using Davin because he's my brother-in-law and because I don't work out like brother Nolan so I can't pick up anybody else brother Zach we're ready so I'll pick up Davin like this and before I even stand up and get them on my shoulders I hear and these Little Footsteps start running down the hall and I can't just hold up daving like this this is a whole lot easier when Mark's not around daving this is awesome I hold up I'll hold up dabing like this but I can't just keep him up because there's somebody that's yanking his feet the whole entire time I'm like dude let go we're just playing I'm not actually hurting him he does not care put him down dude relax man he he's just he's yanking him he's he's grabbing him he he won't he will not stop fighting until I let Davin go So eventually after he's done scratching the fire out of my legs and and I haven't got my eyes clawed out and half my hair is pulled out if I got a bald spot this morning it's because of it's because of Mark I'm just going to admit to it okay after after we we finish wrestling and we finish fighting I'll put Davin down I'll sit him down like this he might give Davin a hug and then go on about his man's arm what in the world you know and and and I I can even he can even get to the point to where I don't even touch Davin I'm just looking at him and I'm like oh you want to do something you want to fight ready to go right now I I I just I try my best to to intimidate him playing around and just me looking at him just me being around him acting like I'm about to fight him if we're here we're fine we're good but if I act like I'm about to fight this young man you can already guess what's what he's going to do yeah yeah somebody's got it somebody's got is he here what in the world okay all right Zay all right that was Zay sorry he's growling he's starts stomping down the hallway he's coming right to me and I and he he may not grab me that time he's going to stand in between me and Davin and look at me stop it walk right on back to his to his playroom or whatever he's doing I don't even have to be around him man he he's not playing around you see what what I what I fear I know it seems like dude this dude has just gotten way off track you know the Bible says the devil walks around like a lion seeking whom he may devour what I worry about is that that we will do the same thing for our friends and our loved ones if somebody comes up and Bullies them and messes with him at school I had a friend do it for me one time he was picking on me he was he was he was bullying me in about the seventh grade he waving is he was bullying me he was messing with me and he shoved me a little bit I I couldn't respond next thing I know the kid is on the ground I don't condone this okay just to clarify was in seventh grade all right it was awesome so so he he he shoves me a little bit next thing I know the dude is on the ground and I look to my side and my best friend's right beside me you better keep your hands off him I'm like yeah that's right I try try to play the part I try to act right you know what I mean that was all me so we daed each other up we went on about our business I I I I think we we all we all have that same mentality if somebody was messing with your brother your sister your mom your dad you'd be ready to throw down any second but when the devil messes with them we just continue life like nothing else is going on I feel like a lot of us we wait we wait to put on the armor of God and to fight until the devil's got our family on his shoulders until the devil's got our brother and our sister on his shoulders I'm G to step away from the edge of the platform I know my wife is scared to death right now until until the adversary has has our loved ones and has us on his shoulders we wait until we try to get our lives right until then until the adversary grabs a hold of some stuff that we don't want him to grab a hold of and then all of a sudden it's like a moment of of of realization where we say oh my goodness I I can't believe that that the devil was stalking them I can't I didn't know that they were going to back up I didn't know that they were going to give up on everything I did not I did not realize that they were going to give up on God and lose faith and and they were going to get addicted to this and addicted to that I I had no clue I had no idea that they were going to be stuck to and attached to these things I want you to know some somebody today you ought to not wait this morning until the devil grabs a hold of your family before you come to an altar and you start shouting unto God like you've never shouted before I thank God I thank God for the testimonies that we have the testimonies that we have of how my my my son was lost and my friend was lost and all I did was pray and shout and dance and and next thing I know they're walking in the door and they're giving God everything and they were living in but but now they're out and and and now they're coming back and I give God all the praise and all the glory for those testimonies but why in the world are we waiting to shout for the victory until Satan grabs a hold of our family and he's walking them around somebody ought to have that Mark spirit this morning that you know the adversar is walking around like a lion seeking whom he may devour there may be a devil that's walking around your family that's walking around your loved ones that's walking around maybe you today and just wondering what is that young person going to do this morning it's the first morning service they're going to wait in here brother Samuel Von they're going to wait in here brother Nolan they're not going to give anything or everything to God today they they're just going to sit on their praise and nothing's going to change maybe they'll get something else later on this week but but I I hope they know as soon as they get back home their family's going to be stuck in the same stuff that they were in they're going to be faced with the same trials and the same addictions that they were faced with before they got here somebody you are to get a spirit of boldness you are to wield The Shield of Faith you are to pull out the sword of the spirit and say I'm not waiting until it's too late I'm not waiting until the devil picks up my brother I'm going I'm going fight right now while he's still at a distance I'm going fight him if he's got him by the arm I'm ready to wield the armor of God I wish somebody in this place right now would clap your hands and lift your voice like you want to see lost loved ones in your family saved come on I I I wish somebody in this place that you want your family to stay saved I wish you would give God the greatest praise relationship you ain't having my walk you ain't having my come on you ain't having my Holy Ghost oh God oh God it's about time that we bring the fight to the adversary today it's about time that we let the devil know not just where we stand with Jesus but where he stands with us the devil's not beside me he's not my best friend we don't work together that sorry old little devil is underneath my feet today you better know your place devil standing on business when that Devil comes up to you he better know that you're standing on business he's not going to be afraid of a young person who don't know how to pray he's not going to be fearful of somebody who don't ever give God praise who thinks they're too good to magnify the Lord because of who's around the devil shakes in his boots not just because somebody shouts the name of Jesus but because somebody shouts it believing and knowing that he is still working all things out for our good I wish somebody in this place would give God a yourself I got Victory I'm wearing the armor of God I was praying I was praying one time at a at a campus ministry College campus ministry and and I I I was on my face I was underneath this table I was running media for that service and I'm on my face underneath this table just praying and praying and praying and I'm speaking in tongues calling on the name of Jesus speaking in tongues and I I as I'm praying in the middle of me speaking in tongues if this if this makes you think that it's it's fake it's phony I apologize and I I I hope God helps me I guess but I'm speaking in tongues praying under this table and the devil starts speaking to me the back of my mind may have been my flesh but started telling me stuff like you realize this is fake right you realize you're doing this for show right I'm underneath a table with a tablecloth can't nobody see me and I'm sitting here telling myself it's all a show you know you got the Holy Ghost when you were nine years old you were just nine what is a kid know at N9 years old you were probably just mimicking what everybody else around you was doing you you you're just putting on it you just as well stop praying right now you just as well quit speaking in tongues if that's what you think it is can I tell you what I did in that moment I didn't stop I didn't stand up I didn't cry and say man I'm sorry I want you God to give me a real Spirit give me something true give me something genuine I God I guess my my paa would say holy ghost mad I got frustrated in that moment I was I was I was mad I was hot so I started standing on business and what I did in that moment whenever I started telling myself this stuff is fake you just as well quit shouting you just as well be quiet I begin to pound on the ground as hard as I could and whenever the spirit was telling me when whenever that lie was telling me this holy ghost stuff it's fake it's phony you're just speaking what you think about speaking and you're just coming up with some random stuff I begin to speak it even louder hear me young person I I don't want hand claps for that I I I I I want you to hear this though when you are praying when you're calling on the name when you're speaking in tongues and something starts telling you you better be quiet all that it's not going to get you anywhere I want you to know it's because the devil wants you to shut your mouth because he knows that Victory is on the other side of that shout come on the devil with love nothing more than for you to keep your mouth closed than than for you to keep that top lip shut to your bottom lip and you never open your mouth and shout hallelujah thank you Jesus he would love nothing more than your hands to be in your pockets and you not clapping and shouting and dancing the devil would love nothing more than for your feet to be planted on the ground somebody ought to make the devil mad today you ought to stomp on his head you ought to dance like you've never danced before oh God this is how we're going to make the devil mad today this is how we're going to do it we're going to put on the whole armor we're going to shout we're going to dance and we're about to
