Sunday Evening Worship Service

amen would you clap your hands to the Lord again this evening you start making your way back to your seats but just keep the same Spirit of worship and remain standing get your Bibles or your [Music] devices man we're going to go to the return to the book of Acts chapter number two Pastor didn't know what I was preaching I didn't know what he was preaching he preached the first four verses of chapter 2 I'm going to preach about the last four verses of chapter two but I want to give honor to our leadership to our pastor our Bishop Pastor Anthony all of our wives would you give all of our pastors a great big hand you love and appreciate our leadership all of our elders the Ministers of this church we honor you tonight I want to give honor special honor to uh Darren and Julie May who are here with us this weekend and their children with us Becca and Marshall Wendell and Nelly these are special people to me they're not just friends they are family when God turned my life Inside Out upside down uh nearly 20 years ago they were the youth pastors at our church and they were friends of mine from since I was a child and uh they were ingal to what God did in my life and uh when God was calling me to preach and trust me I was the least of these when he says when Paul said he choses he chose the foolish things of the world to confound the wise he defitely chose the most foolish thing that he could choose by choosing me and so I realized I really needed help and I turned to them and they help me we would have church in a little upstairs room of our church on Tuesday nights with youth and we'd turn that place upside down with prayer and praise and worship and preaching and uh he asked me the first time he asked me the first time 19 years coming up this March I'm sorry this may uh he asked me for the first time to speak and and I man I was nervous man I was nervous and I I think I I think I just lean like this on the the pulpit like this the entire time and stuttered and and and was nervous and it was terrible I mean it was absolutely I I have no idea what I said I just know it was bad and I got done and Darren pulled me to side and he goes man he called they call me affectionately they call me wit he said Whit you're going to be preaching NYC one of these days I was like brother you have you are the craziest person I know but they seen something in me that I didn't see in myself and I'm so thankful that they're here with us this weekend doing an amazing job a part of a great School uh Covenant Christian School in Bloomington Indiana and uh they're just amazing amazing people their children are amazing people could you give them another great big hand I love and appreciate the M Bay family so very much I wouldn't be here without them and I'm so thankful Acts chapter number two let's go to the very end end of this chapter we Pastor gave us the first part I'm going to give you the last part Acts 2 beginning at verse number 42 and they continued someone say continued steadfastly in the apostles Doctrine and fellowship and in Breaking of bread and in prayer so Luke is making sure we understand that they did they didn't just continue Contin steadfastly in the apostles Doctrine but they continued steadfastly in Fellowship breaking of bread and in prayers and fear Came Upon every soul and Many Wonders and signs were done by the apostles and all that believed were together and had all things common they sold their possessions and goods and parted them to all men as every man had need looking look at verse number 46 and they continuing someone say continuing again they continued that means they didn't stop they were consistent they con continued daily with one Accord in the temple again we see the word end here making sure we understand that we're connected back to the continuing daily and breaking of bread from house to house did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart praising God as we heard about this morning and having favor with all people and the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved I want to preach to you tonight and I want to help you I want to help us change our world and change your world I'm going to show you how we can do that my title is steadfast in the ordinary yeah you got that right stad steadfast in the ordinary how are we going to change our world how are we going to change our world what is the model what is the template we have it right here before us and that is continuing steadfast in the ordinary why don't you put your Bibles down and one more time would you lift up your hands to the Lord and would you ask him to help us tonight to see in his word the things he would have us know and understand father we are so thankful for the word of God that we heard this morning we're so thankful for the spirit of God that we have felt all day we thank you for the ministry of the Saints and the ministry of your spirit but Lord you know that I am nothing without you this is your word this is your anointing these are your people this is your church and I pray father you would help your servant right now help me to deliver what you have given to me and help me to do it with Clarity God let this be light in darkness today and God I pray it would be refreshing to our souls in jesus' name we pray and everyone said amen won't you clap your hands to the Lord tonight now can you do it with some Gusto can you do it just a little bit louder can you give him this a little bit of a better praise the sacrifice of praise come on somebody now can you add your voice to it loud enough that your own ears can hear it can somebody offer him the fruit of your lips the sacrifice the praise hallelujah hallelujah turn around tell somebody be ordinary now tell somebody else be ordinary and you can be seated tonight steadfast in the ordinary epic revolutionary extreme radical crazy incredible emergent Cutting Edge Supernatural Next Level otherworldly such words are common in sermons speeches motivational seminars they're used in books they're used in songs they're used in conversation they're used to inspire and it listeners in hopes of seeing people lead extraordinary lives ordinary has to be one of the lonliest words in our English vocabulary who wants to have a bumper sticker on their car or on their laptop that says ordinary a parent doesn't put my child is an ordinary student at around the corner Elementary on their car who wants to live live in an ordinary Town work at an ordinary job and have ordinary friends no one wants to attend an ordinary church either this generation my generation your generation is terrified of ordinary our generation is terrified of boredom what they fear is missing out on the next big thing George Barner records the following six and 10 young people will leave the church permanently or for an extended period of time starting at age 15 he goes on to say the study of young adults focus on those who were regular churchgoers Christian Church churchgoers during their teen years and explored their reasons for disconnection from the church after the age of 15 31% of those poed said church was boring many grow disenfranchised with the church and Christianity because they don't know what real Christianity looks like right that's right we encourage Youth and the adult alike to turn their worlds upside down yet they don't know see they don't see why it's necessary to change their world that they love what does real Church look like what does real Christianity look like what does real life look like what does authenticity in the first church look like we we we want to change the world but we want to avoid our own world come on come on we want missions in Africa and the Philippines but we don't want missions across the street how does one change the world is there some extraordinary method lifestyle or movement that can be the Catalyst of changing the world world my answer to changing the world is being steadfast in the ordinary the future of the church is in the ancient the Old Paths and the god the Ancient of Days who is the same yesterday today and tomorrow don't over look the word same that God doesn't change with the years and God doesn't change with the Fashions God doesn't change with the methods God is the same and if we're going to change our world I'm telling you right now we need to be steadfast in the ordinary I I can already see and I can already feel objections forming in your minds I realize ordinary seems like I'm throwing a wet blanket on Godly Zeal that's not what I'm doing ordinary does not mean mediocre that's right that's right ordinary does not mean passionless it should also be understood that what we will consider to be ordinary and common is strange to the world what we think is ordinary is very strange to the world it should be understood that God has given us ordinary means of Grace and spiritual habits that are strange to Outsiders I'm not saying God is ordinary please understand God is not ordinary but God works through ordinary means Ordinary People ordin orary churches doing very ordinary things God uses real language with words sentences paragraphs commas and periods and he's given it to us on pages God is speaking to us from an ordinary book but I'm telling you if we will apply what's in this book we will get extraordinary results come on somebody will you hear me right now I'm come to tell somebody if we're going to change our world if you're going to change your world we've got to be steadfast in the ordinary yes yes he is he is otherworldly yes he is otherworldly there's none like him there's none beside him there's none coming after him but I want you to know that when God wanted to redeem Humanity he did it through ordinary means what do you mean he he came into the womb of a little girl and he gained for nine months he grew in her womb just like everybody else did and she gave birth just like every woman had you know why because God knows the power of ordinary he didn't show up in a Manion he showed up in a Manger he didn't show up with pump and Circumstance he showed up to Shepherds I want you to realize and I don't want you to overlook the power of being ordinary someone say amen amen you know the first church was an ordinary Church yeah it's an ordinary Church Jesus had ascended sent the he had sent the Holy Spirit The Holy Spirits we heard about this morning descended from Heaven 120 people were in an upper room praying and waiting and here the spirit of God descended upon them and it's noised abroad as we heard again again that we heard it today and I'm not going to repeat pastor's wonderful sermon but as he begins to preach using words and phrases and is using his ordinary voice the power of God begins to move and 3,000 people are added to the church in one day but that didn't happen every day it happened that day but it didn't happen every day you know what they did every day and they continued steadfastly in the apostles Doctrine and fellowship and in Breaking of bread and in prayers they continued daily with one Accord in the temple breaking bread from house to house did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart praising God having favor with with people and the Lord added to the church daily let me tell you something I am Pentecostal I'll always be Pentecostal but Pentecost doesn't happen every day Pentecost doesn't happen every day I'm thankful for Pentecost I believe God can pour out his Spirit right now and 120 can get the Holy Ghost right now but I'm telling you that's not what he did in the first church he poured out his spirit in one day and then the next day they showed up and they had church and then they showed up the next day and they broke bread and they showed up the next day and they prayed and they showed up the next day and they preached come on somebody if we're going to grow this church and if we're going to reach this city we got to realize God's going to use some ordinary methods I'm looking for Pentecost I'm looking for Pentecost but I'm also looking for somebody who say I'm continuing whether it's Pentecost or not I'm continuing whether it's Sunday in January come on somebody we got to continue we got to continue Miracles didn't happen every day the dead weren't raised every day Temple attendance was done daily though oh Jesus help me right now I just wish we could see the dead rais well come to church on Sunday there's debt here every Sunday how I wish we could see Miracles every day then bring the sick that's right we got sick people here every Sunday we got people sick here every Wednesday we got sick people all the time you know what if you'll just show up if you'll just be faithful if you'll just be steadfast in the ordinary I just believe we'll see the dead raised I just believe we'll see Miracles take place but you got to show up you got to pray every day you got to have Fellowship every day you got to be faithful to the temple I wish somebody was hearing me I wish somebody would give me an extraordinary praise right now and realize that we're going to have Revival doing the ordinary things Hallelujah someone say steadfast it means devoted devoted committed are you committed to the ordinary things what were they committed to they were committed to Doctrine they were committed to the word of God it says another another a uh English translation they were continually devoting themselves to the apostles teaching ah we don't need doctrine I just want Jesus ever heard that ah we don't need all that doc you know Doctrine kills pray tell me how do you know who Jesus is without Doctrine how can you know how to be saved without Doctrine I want to hear about blessing and I want to hear about God blessing my finances how in the world are you going to know about God blessen your finances without Doctrine I'm going to tell you something everything you need to know about God is Doctrine we need theology we need doctrine we need teaching we need preaching that sounds just a little too ordinary brother Nate I want I want I want exuberance and I want loud and I want I want weeping and crying I want don't overlook the power of Doctrine I'll never forget I was in Uganda back in 2009 we were in a little place with no electricity no running water there was nothing around but there was a little room with about 500 people packed out they had walked all their way there and I watched Bishop ml walls walk up there to a little Podium with his Bible and a few notes and I began to hear him teach for over one hour and a half on the Oneness of God I was sitting with brother Russell Elkins and I could see something come down from the ceiling it looked like dust but it was the glory of God falling upon those people why because when there is preaching and teaching of the word of God he will confirm it with signs Following come on you want signs following it's going to follow the word of God it's going to follow preaching and teaching it's going to follow the word of God being taught don't you overlook Wednesday night don't you overlook Wednesday night you need to be here and hear the word of God we need doctrine we need to be committed to Doctrine we've got to be committed to it I don't know about I don't understand that that's just for preachers and Bishops and apostles let me tell you something that's not the truth you know everything you need to know about chemistry Algebra I didn't get that class very much I took it about six times from seventh grade to my senior year still haven't been using it lately but anyway we know everything there needs to know we yeah you gotta you got to get chemistry you got to get all you got to have all this stuff and I'm I'm off for education but don't you think for one second that you can't understand the doctrine of the word of God that's you don't have to be you know how why you know why some of us are so beat up by the devil and we're beat up with temptation and we're beat up be up with depression and anxiety and fear you know why we keep getting beat up with all that stuff because the Bible says my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge you know what you need to do you need to open up this book and read yourself silly you need to listen to podcast listen to it read it I don't care how you get it inside of you I don't care what translation you use just get this book in your heart get this book in your brain that's what I fig I would get I get an ordinary response right there because it seems so ordinary but I'm telling you if we want Revival it's going to come on the heels of [Applause] Doctrine hold on well the Holy Ghost fell and that's all they needed after that they didn't need teaching they're just waiting no no no no just because the power fell didn't mean that they had to to disconnect themselves from the Bible don't think for one second that the power of God is going to replace the word of God God is going to move where his word is and God is going to move where there is people who are committed to obeying and applying the word of God to their life every day you can be seated calm down relax you know there's power in the word of God 37 times we find in the book of Acts the words teaching teach taught Doctrine preach preaching That's not including uses have heard the word word of God word of the Lord over and over and over again the word was taught whether it was when in Jerusalem or Samaria or the uttermost parts of the Earth the word of God is always going to be relevant methods change the message doesn't don't marry yourself I'm I'm afraid some of us get committed to methods we don't care if the word of God's taught as long as they sing my favorite songs I I don't care what they preach as long as it's 68 degrees where I'm sitting uh I don't I don't care what they preach as long as it doesn't hurt my little little ears so you'll leave the church you'll go across town you'll find any old Tom Dick and Harry to preach because you got itching ears let me tell you something we need to be more committed to the message than we are to methods methods change and we're going to progress I'm not married to a method I'm married to the message and the message still works that God came in Christ to redeem Humanity somebody say Amen I'm sorry I'm being ordinary tonight what else were they committed to they were steadfast in prayer I don't believe God is as concerned with the content of our prayer as he is the consistency of our prayer I don't know what to pray when I pray it's okay just do it pray just try it and I I I I listen I know make some people very uncomfortable in our Movement by saying what I'm about to say so if I make you uncomfortable I don't apologize but I believe that we have hindered people's praying because we have taught them to expect to see Angels or to talk in tongues every time that they pray or they have to cry or they have to hear an audible voice from a Mountain somewhere and so they don't pray at all because they don't see that and let me tell you something the best way to pray is to pray with consistency there are times when I feel him there are times when I hear him there are times when I speak in tongues when I pray but the majority of the time it's just me going Jesus I love you today Lord I Thank you for my wife I thank you for my daughter Lord I Thank you Lord for a roof over my head Lord I Thank you for clo on my back and shoes on my feet I thank you Lord for food on my table Lord I Thank you for blessing my finances I thank you for peace and strength in my mind I thank you for blessing our health Lord I Thank you for our leadership I thank you for the church I thank you God for the people of God today Lord I Thank you for getting me up today Lord your word says your mercy is new Every Morning Lord I Thank you that I'm not consumed but your Mercy's new today Lord I think are you see what I'm doing I'm praying consistently I'm repeating what I repeat every day what do I do after that I begin to worship I say Lord I love you today you're worthy to be worshiped you're the God of all there's none beside you there's none before you there's none coming after you you're the alpha you're the Omega you're the beginning and you're the end Lord I Thank you for the revelation of who you are here o Israel the Lord our God is one Lord I Thank you for the revelation of Acts 238 I know that I've got to be water baptized in the name of Jesus and then that name there is no other there said there there there's no salvation in any other Lord I Thank you for the Holy Ghost Lord I Thank you that there's not somebody beside you but you alone Our God Lord you're worthy you're wonderful you're marvelous you're magnificent Lord You're holy you're holy you're holy and I'm just going through it you know why because I'm been showing up then I go to confession Lord forgive me of my sins Lord you know I'm a sinner and you know in my heart there dwells no good thing Lord I pray father right now that you would cleanse me Lord I pray that you would Wash Me Lord I pray that you would have mercy upon my soul don't remember the sins of my youth don't remember the sins of yesterday cover me and hide me with your blood wash my mind of thoughts that I've thought God Wash Me of words that I've said if I've rumored or gossip Lord forgive me Lord if I put anything before my eyes and lusted forgive me Lord if I've said things I shouldn't say Lord forgive me oh God forgive me of the hidden secrets of my heart I go through this I go through my hands Lord if I wash my hands if I've done anything with my hands wash my hands Lord wash my feet if I've been LED on my flesh wash me today what am I doing praying you see how easy it is and all of a sudden now things start flowing things start going a little bit think about if if if if if marriage is a picture between our relationship between God and the bride I don't scream at her every day I don't think I ever do because I I want to live but I don't get up and go I love you I I love you [Music] asle I walk in there and I say I love you today baby I love you we have conversations driving down the road we have deep conversations we have fulfilling conversations we talk about things and nobody else wants to talk about we talk about it we talk to each other just like people should and if you want to pray all you have to you don't have to cry I don't cry to her every day I don't speak in tongues when I talk to her every day I talk to her like she's my wife and like I love her but some of y'all don't pray because you don't talk to your spouse you can get on Facebook but you can't talk to your wife I I'm not sure if I can say I love you well you better or somebody else will if our relationship with Christ is also as a father with children I got a little girl and she talks from the moment that her eyes open she gets why must they said like girls get a million words in a day she gets hers in before we leave the house it's all right I'm just going uhhuh uh-huh oh yeah she finally when she was little she I would say oh yeah to all the things she would say I say oh yeah and she finally she goes will you stop saying oh yeah stop saying oh yeah CU she knew I wasn't listening but I also know what Paul meant when he said pray without ceasing if you're a child come sometimes we just need to pray throughout the day just talking to him sometimes we got to get alone and shut the door to our prayer closet but then there's some sometimes it's just so ordinary walking down the street driving down the road sometimes I'm working at the factory and I'm just saying oh God I need you right now oh God touch touch sister so and so touch brother so and so some it's so ordinary y'all all right want to help you steadfast in prayer then look at the next one and they continued daily at the temple now Temple wasn't the church but it was the place they knew at the beginning of the church where to go it moved to synagogues and it moved to house to house wherever they were but it didn't matter the location What mattered was the Gathering God doesn't save individuals to be isolated that's right I said it Wednesday night I'll say it again I read a story this week A man was talking to a priest and he said sir if God is everywhere why do I need to go to church and the priest replied he said well my friend water is in the atmosphere everywhere you go he said but when you're thirsty you go to a well or you find a fountain I want tell yes God is everywhere but when you're thirsty you need a gather where there is water that can be found that can quench your thirst come on forsake not the Gathering of yourselves together I know it seems ordinary to come here on Wednesday nights but I'm telling you it will it will produce extraordinary things for you GL you need to be here go ahead we have two services on Sunday not to give you options we have two Services here on Sunday for you to come to two services on Sunday hallelujah thank you for that ordinary Applause right there well I'm am I saying people get sick people go to work that is the exception not the rule but if you're missing Wednesday night because Dallas is on yall thinking Dallas what is this 1984 I haven't had cable in like eight years I have no idea what's on TV anymore if you're missing it because kids got to get up early and go to school kids got to go I I worked a long day today what do you think we've been doing today you don't you think we I don't have kids you don't think everybody else has got kids come on you need to be here every time the doors are open are open you need to be here I'm going to make it just a little bit more mad that I've already just done being here doesn't count if you're always in the [Music] lobby come on musicians you need to be in here if you want us to worship you better be in here when I'm preaching this is worship going on right about now now if I was out there while he was preaching this morning I don't have any right to ask you to help me but I'm telling you you need to be why even come why even show up you need to be in the sanctuary hearing the preached word of God well it's not my Sunday to serve it's not my time I'm not ushering this week and I'm not singing this week you need to be here you should be on the front row you should be upfront worshiping because this is the house of God ordinary ordinary [Music] ordinary y'all still there yall okay you're like get somebody else up there tonight and look at this pastor hit on praising today so I won't repeat it but it says and having favor with all people you know what will change your world being Christlike don't be Pentecostal on Sunday and be the son of a of B on Monday y'all hearing me you you know we don't come in here talking in tongues and rolling the floor and shouting and rolling around I'm all for that and then you go out there and give everybody the bird on the road and oh mean to waitresses and don't tip and uh you know you're cutting people off in traffic and you're so impatient with your kids and you're impatient with your spouse right ordinary ordinary Pastor said today let your face know that you're happy and if you're not happy you need to get the joy of the Lord in your heart and if you're not happy get up here and get the Holy Ghost again because when you got the Holy Ghost you're going to be happy ordinary fav you want to know how you can get favor on the job show up get along with your co-workers but you don't know I do know Jesus said love your neighbor but who's my neighbor they ask Jesus that the same question it is whoever you come into contact with you if you're going to change your world put a smile on your face talk kindly to people show everybody that you're different just being ordinary and acting like you got a little bit of the Lord in your life oh Lord help me Jesus father this brother n This sounds too ordinary we're looking for Angels we're looking for angels and we're looking for Glory dust and we're looking for all these things and if you just put a smile on your face we're looking for the extraordinary I want the supernatural but you can't have the super without the natural come on somebody can I hear can I somebody just help me just a little bit if we're going to change Knoxville we're going to have to be steadfast in the doctrine steadfast to the church steadfast in the community steadfast in prayer I'm almost done you're thanking God I know and the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved ordinary methods bring about extraordinary results it wasn't Pentecost every day but it was prayer every day was faithful Church attendance Fellowship when did how did Pentecost take place 50 days into a prayer meeting in an upper room somewhere 120 were there how many left after day two how many left after day 10 how many left on day 49 Peter this all just seems too ordinary John when's it going to happen just keep praying praying uh Thomas you're a doubter uh when's it going to take place well Peter's going to teach one more time and then we're going to keep praying teaching prayer we've been up in this upper room for 49 days now when's it going to happen and when the day of Pentecost was fully come you never know when your Pentecost is going to show up but if you give up because it seems too ordinary you're going to miss the extraordinary I'm drawn to a close of musicians want to come 1957 you've heard it bishop and sister mul came to Knoxville with a dream of a church in a Christian School this church was not built in a day the school was not built in a week what we are experiencing this weekend is a commitment to the mission how many fads movements Church growth sessions how many fads have come and gone throughout these six plus decades but what did they do showed up on Wednesday and taught showed up on Sunday taught preached preached again Monday rolls around gets on the radio not once not twice three times a day every day start a school kids come kids go teachers come teachers go years come years go and what did they do Wednesday night showed up Sunday morning taught preached sing preach you know how we have what we have because they were committed to ordinary things producing extraordinary results I want to draw to a close brother dere if you'll help me show show the picture here of Cliff young this is Cliff young he was 61 years old and ran an ultra marathon in Australia an ultramarathon is 544 miles he was a farmer showing up to an ultra marathon in his overalls and work boots with gashes over the top just in case it rained he never ran any kind of race before never ran a fivemile race or a half marathon not even a marathon he showed up with his 81-year-old mother as his coach some media asked the 60 year 61 year old man with gashes on and overalls do you have any backers he said no certainly you can't run then Cliff looked down at his boots he thought backers I don't need backers to run the other Runners took off like pumped shots from that starting line while Cliff young ate dust he had an a rather ordinary way of running he shuffled he didn't have a Long Gate he shuffled and let his long arms move down his side but that was his plan for a 544 mile ultra marathon and he did it every day when the other Runners slept Cliff ran he ran through the dark because he didn't know he was supposed to stop they later asked Cliff how did you learn to run Cliff told him with no tooth in his head and with his work boots on he said I just ran for three days Gathering sheep on our Farmland they later found out what that meant was they had 2,000 acres of farmland and when they lost sheep Cliff ran here in the ultra marathon race in his overalls shuffled past toned Runners with their science with their metrics with the right clothes and the right shoes and here comes 61y old toothless Cliff young shuffling past them for five days and 15 hours and 4 minutes straight Cliff ran never stopping once for the dark never really stopping at all for one night when he got about four hours rest and woke up before everybody else and continued to run he beat the world record for an ultra marathon by two whole days this race is not ran and completed by large extraordinary resolutions this race is run by the daily shule steadfast in the ordinary I'm not going to let the dark stop me I'm not going to let my feelings stop me I'm not going to let my emotion stop me I'm not going to let trial stop me I'm going to keep walking I'm going to keep running because I've got a raise to finish stand to your feet he didn't know any better brother Courtney I didn't know you were supposed to stop he said all I knew was keep running SI 61y old with his 81y old mother at the finish line and all the train ultramarathoners are in Shock that they just got beat by a farmer how are we going to change the world being steadfast to the ordinary can I can I I pastored for a little bit tonight but I'm just just one more time can I Pastor for a second I hear a lot and I read a lot on social media people I just wish my Ministry would be used more I just wish I had more opportunities to use my gifts I just really wish somebody would call on me to do something can I tell you opportunities come for those who are here you want an opportunity be here because if we can't rely upon you to be at church without the spotlight and the title and the position what makes you think this all right y'all okay steadfast in the ordinary it is going to be ordinary prayer you know you know how many times I've gone to pray y'all can come on out I go to pray and nothing extraordinary [Music] happens but then there are times that I show up and he's waiting on me because I've made an appointment with my god there are some services that I don't this is just me this is all right I don't feel power and see Glory but I see somebody else experience it and if if I can just keep showing up you know why we've got be free project 180 middle school high school we've got kids quest we've got adultish we've got things taking place all over our campus on Wednesday night you know why because we're committed to the apostles Doctrine and we believe that if we teach it preach it live it enough lives can be changed there are times when I lift my hands during a worship set I don't speak in tongues but then there are other times when I walk in here and I feel something when I'm praying with somebody up here and all of a sudden what they've got falls on over me and all of a sudden it hits me but what if I wasn't here what if I didn't show up if we listen to me now I'm not trying to be mean trying to be crude I'm not trying to I I know that I'm not I I just just listen to me these are not we don't need to throw away any services that we can physically be in that's we didn't even say well can I it's I'm already I'm already here in the deep swimming in it drowning in it I'm just going to say it you know what would be good for some of us to do mark off how many Services we miss in a week or a month I think you'd be shocked how do you know cuz I watch I am looking I want you to be here when you're not here I'm missing you and I text you missed you today missed you last night why would you do that because you I want you here because there's something about being here that you don't need to miss there's something about being here in his presence with his people but don't overlook this one more thing and I'm closing is [Music] fellowship we need Fellowship one with another we don't just come into church Preach teach shout sing and walk out we have to kick y'all out some Sundays turn flash the lights back when the old build we used to flash the lights it's 10:00 guys can we go home we like fellowship and we need Fellowship because Fellowship builds up Fellowship shares testimonies Fellowship shares Ministries and service to one to another it encourages one another to help each other to get through what they're going through to continue steadfastly would you lift up your hands right now across this sanctuary and I pray pray that you would lift up your hand and lift up your heart and you wouldd pray and say Lord maybe I I I'm I'm I'm consistent in all those things and I'm I'm not missed a day and I'm not missed a service and I'm so thankful for that but God help me to be more consistent somewhere else Lord I pray maybe I'm missing somewhere and I'm not as consistent Lord I pray that you would help me to be more committed to it come on maybe it's more committed to prayer maybe it's more committed to the word of God the study of word the of the word of God maybe it's more commitment to the house of God maybe it's more commitment to fellowship and serving one another I wonder if somebody would leave the confines of their Pew tonight through the ordinary means of just walking to an altar you might not feel anything you might not see anything but there might just be an opportunity for the extraordinary to come down and touch you it might just be your night it might just be your Sunday if it's not come back Wednesday night come back next Sunday morning come back next Sunday night because it this might be your opportunity then but if it's not come back the following and the following and the following because this is the way that we can change our world this is the way that we can change our world come on would you lift up your heart would you lift up your would you lift up your voice and say Lord I want to be steadfast I want to be steadfast oh no place want to pray with you right now I want you to pray maybe it's you say Pastor N I just don't know how to pray I gave you a little method tonight just say it's not it's not the content but it's the consistency maybe it's just five minutes every day you need to be committed to that maybe it's 10 minutes a day I don't know where you're at but maybe say I need to be committed to prayer some way consistently maybe it's the word of God maybe you've decided that this is my year to read through the New Testament or read through the whole Bible all it takes is just three chapters a day maybe I say I'm I struggle with reading you know you can listen to it for free maybe it's just being committed to the house of God to showing up whatever it is I want you to lift up your hand and say Lord help me without the grace of God help me I am it's it is futile I need him to help me I need his grace I need his Spirit to empower me but I pray right now over somebody Whose desire is to draw closer to him Whose desire is to see Revival Whose desire is to change the world would be a little bit more committed who would be a little bit more faithful would you make that prayer right now and say set
