Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

A Cake Not Turned

  • He reads Hosea chapter 7: Ephraim has mixed himself among the people and is a cake not turned.
  • In the ancient kitchen a cake left unturned burns on one side and stays raw on the other — his picture of a devotion that is only partly given.

Scriptures: Hosea 7:8-9

Mixed Up, Devoured, and Graying Unawares

  • Like the church the Lord called lukewarm, Ephraim is neither hot nor cold; and a small corrupting influence mixed into a life works through the whole of it.
  • Strangers devour Ephraim's strength and he knows it not: outside things drain spiritual energy while a man does not even notice.
  • Gray hairs are here and there upon him and he knows it not — time runs out on half-hearted devotion, and strength is for the purpose God gave it now.

Scriptures: Revelation 3:16; Proverbs 20:29

The Remedy: Return and Be Turned

  • He turns to Hosea chapter 14: O Israel, return to the Lord, for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.
  • God asks for words, not perfection — take with you words of repentance and honesty — because the perfect sacrifice has already been provided.
  • His promise answers the turning: I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely, for his anger is turned from him.

Scriptures: Hosea 14:1; Hosea 14:2; Hosea 14:4

Hosea chapter number 7. We're going to look at verses 8 through9 today. Ephraim. And we have this reference to the name Ephraim. That is in reference to the northern tribes of Israel at this time. Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people. Look at this. Ephraim is a cake not turned. Strangers have devoured his strength and he knoweth it not. Yay, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth it not. from verse eight will be my text and my title. Ephraim is a cake not turned. And I'd like to preach to you for a few moments today. A cake not turned. One more time right where you're sitting. Won't you lift up your hands and ask the Lord to speak to us from his word. Lord, we thank you for your spirit that is here that's been ministering to us. Lord, every situation and circumstance that's been here, Lord, you've been ministering to through our time of worship, Lord. And right now, I pray that the word of God would go forth in spite of me, your vessel, I pray that you would speak to us and minister to us today in Jesus' name we pray. And everyone said, "Amen." Amen. A cake not turned. I don't know if you know this about me or not. Maybe you do, maybe you don't. But I like to eat. I know about that. Yeah. I like to post about what I eat, where I go, food that I get to partake of. I like to eat. Uh last in the last few years, mostly really kicked off during the pandemic when everything shut down. I really decided that I'm going to try my hand at cooking. Mostly, you know, easy meals, quick recipes, things you see on the internet. Uh, the one thing that I'm kind of, you know, fearful of trying is baking. Anybody like to bake in here? Anybody bake? I just, it baking is another story for me. It feels so precise and so scientific. It's not like, you know, you're just throwing something into a crock pot and eat it later. You know, that's what I like to do. Just throw something into the oven, see you later, and we'll partake. But baking on the other hand just seems so so precise. And my mom again my mom is a tremendous cook and that's a reason why I like to eat so much is because mom exposed me to so much good food growing up and making me try things. And she's a great cook. But she is uh she's a great great baker. She made me for my birthday a few weeks ago. She made me a cheesecake. And it's not just any kind of cheesecake. It's a fluffy kind of cheesecake. And she was telling me about all that went into um you know, baking this cake. You know, the temperature, not just the temperature of the oven, but the temperature of the house and the temperature outside, if it's humid, if it's raining. I'm thinking, this sounds incredibly difficult. But as some of you might or might not know, I I really started watching way too many uh homemade pizza cooking videos. I'm talking hours of me watching somebody cook pizza and I'm like and all I would do is just be like I'm just got I just got hungry. And so I got to the point where I was watching all these pizza homemade pizza videos. So I thought I'm going to give it a shot. And so some birthday money I got a few weeks ago, I bought this uh it's called a pizza steel and it's just a really it's all that's what it is. It's just a big piece of steel about 16 by 16 and you put it into your oven. That's it. You just put it into your oven and you turn uh you you turn your oven, your homemade oven, just a regular oven and you turn it all the way up as high as it will go. 550 degrees. You turn it up and you let that steel cook or preheat for an hour. At least an hour. You let that thing get piping hot. Well, part of that as well is not you're not going to put a Totino's pizza on it, you know, like I had done in the past or, you know, pizza pockets or something, but you know, you're going to have to make your own pizza. So, I mean, I'm I I'm I kind of like to do a little bit of everything. So, I thought, all right, well, I'm going to order me a pizza peel and I'm going to get I'm going to get all the accessories. I mean, if it's not going to taste good, at least I'll look good trying it, you know. And so I But here's the here's the issue, you know. I I want to try something I never done before. Let's try baking. Well, I just said, "Let's just put the brakes on how fast you're going here." And uh let's just go buy the dough. So, I went and bought stored dough. And it's already made. You went to you went to, you know, Trader Joe's and you can find it and a lot of grocery stores have it. It's already made and it's in it's in the bag. So, all you have to do is let it rise and then you have to put some flour on it. Then you have to kind of, you know, roll it out or throw it around. Anybody ever tried to throw the pizza in the the dough in the air? I don't recommend that. Especially if your wife likes a clean kitchen, which mine does, and I make a mess when I when I try to cook. And so, she's always like, "Did you clean it up?" I'm like, "Uh, we'll see. Don't don't don't look too closely." All right. But but tried it. It turned out we it turned out pretty good. I'll keep trying it. And I got friends of mine who are texting me and saying, "You got to take it to the next level. You got to try making your own dough. Here's the recipe for your own dough." I'm like, I'm just not there. I'm not graduated there. I'm still kind of in the Totino's pizza, you know, stage right now. But I was listening I like to listen to my Bible and I was listening to Hosea uh the other day while I was out for my walk and this scripture uh was in my hearing and it was that phrase. And look, sometimes when I'm reading or studying, it's all it takes is just a little phrase to stop me in my tracks. And that phrase, Ephraim is a cake, not turned. And that just made my ears perk up a little bit. And I stopped the audio and I highlighted it in my Bible app. And I wrote it down in my notes, went home and began to write it out and to do a little studying. And I the more I studied this phrase, Ephraim is a cake not turn, the more I realized how devastating and yet relevant this picture from God through the prophet Hosea really is. Now, if you've read Hosea, it's a it's an intriguing book. And the prophet Hosea learned early on that being God's messenger came with great occupational hazards. At the very beginning of his ministry, the Lord commanded him to marry a prostitute by the name of Goomer. And even though Hosea loved her, she was repeatedly unfaithful. And their broken marriage became a living object lesson for the entire nation of Israel. Because just as Goomemer broke Hosea's heart, Israel had broken God's heart through her idolatry and spiritual adultery. And so Hosea's messages pulse with heartbreak and hope. God calling his people and often referring to them as Ephraim uh to repent and return and to completely give their lives to him. They are not to have undivided devotion to the Lord. And so right in the middle of this urgent call comes this striking visual that says Ephraim is a cake not turned. Now to feel the force of this message, we need to step into an ancient Israelite kitchen. In Hosea's day, bread wasn't something you bought in a plastic bag like I did at Trader Joe's. Uh, if you were going to have bread, if you're going to have uh something to eat with your meal, and I just think you need to have bread with every meal that you have. That's just me because I like carbs, but every meal that they had had to have bread. And so families would mix simple dough, flour, water, a little oil, a little salt, and shape it into flat cakes. And these cakes were placed on hot stones, clay griddles, and or put inside simple clay ovens, and they would bake it at a high heat with the fire. But here comes the key moment is that as it would sit in the fire and sit close to the heat, the cook would have to flip the cake or flip the bread at the right time. If it was going to be edible, both sides needed to be that golden flaky bread that everyone enjoys. But if the cake was left on one side for too long, it would burn and char and ruin one side of the bread, and the other side would be raw and doughy, and it was just an an inedible mess. You would have to completely throw it out. It was GOOD FOR NOTHING, TOSSED into the fire or tossed into the trash. And that's the picture that God paints through the words of Hosea. Ephraim is a cake not turned. Now again giving us some context of what he is saying here. Israel had politically mixed herself with foreign powers. They had suffered great loss because they relied on these alliances rather than the Lord. And not only had they mixed themselves with the nations around them, they had mixed their worship with these false gods, the paganism and the heathenism that was around them. And so yet Israel's alliances was only a symptom to a greater issue that they weren't fully committed or devoted to Yahweh. And so Ephraim is a cake not turned. In other words, Ephraim is halfbaked. Like the dough on the cook's griddle. It was charred and burned on one side and raw and doughy on the other. ONE SIDE was exposed to the fire and the other side remained uncooked. The bread is inedible and it would have to be thrown out. They're halfbaked. like the church in Leodosa in Revelation that could be considered lukewarm. The Lord said, "I wish you were hot or I wish you were completely cold, but instead you're a little cold and a little hot and you're just lukewarm and I'll spew you out of my mouth." They're a cake not turned. But here's here's the issue. Here's the issue. Why why are they considered this cake not turned? And what does this have to do with us this morning? First, it says this, "They were mixed up." It says, "Ephraim hath mixed himself among the people." Don't overlook these little words here, these play on words. The ingredients of dough must be mixed properly, right? You have to weigh out all the ingredients or it's going to ruin the bread or the potential for it to be bread. And here the writer says Ephraim has mixed itself with other nations and peoples. They're a cake not turned because they've been mixed up with the wrong crowd. If you go back to Exodus and the Passover, the meal at the and the and the bread at the meal was to be without levaven. and 11 was representing sin and the world and Israel's need to be separate from the nations around them. When we get to the New Testament, Paul employs this when he says, "A little levan leavenvens the whole lump." In other words, it's a warning that a small amount of negative influence such as sin or hypocrisy or false teaching can quietly and rapidly spread to corrupt an entire group or even an individual. For us today, it's important for us to understand that if you're going to be completely devoted and consecrated and given yourself completely to Jesus, you must watch the influences that you are allowing in your life. It doesn't take much yeast for it to infect the entire dough. It just takes a little bit. And once you get the the leaven in, it's hard to get the leaven out. Once you allow some negative influences in your life, it becomes difficult to get those influences out of your life. Those things that you watch and those things that you listen to and those things THAT YOU PARTAKE OF, those places that you go, it could be for good or it can be for bad. But relationships, friendships, entertainment, habits, AND VICES CAN BE YOUR UNDOING no matter how big or how small that they really are. You can't be mixed up. If you're going if you're going to be completely devoid uh uh DEVOTED TO JESUS, YOU MUST WATCH WHAT you are allowing in your life. You can't be mixed up with the world. Too many have cooked their spiritual life because they've allowed some agent to interrupt their devotion to Jesus. anything or anyone who pulls you away from a consistent prayer life, a steady diet of God's word, service to him, or involvement into the local church, you'll end up as a cake, not turned. Someone say, "Amen." >> They're mixed up. But here's the next thing. They're not turned. If the cook didn't turn the dough in the fire evenly, then the bread would be burnt on one side and raw on the other. The dough was exposed to the fire on one side, but on the other side it's untouched. And unfortunately, listen to me, this pictures too many people's consecration. They will expose some part of their lives to the spirit while neglecting the other part. They're a cake, not turn. They will allow the spirit and the word to heat up and expose and burn out its deficiencies while neglecting the other parts of their life. It's partial obedience. It's partial sanctification. It's partial surrender. It's partial devotion. They can worship and praise on Sundays or Wednesdays and live like the rest of the heathen heathens in the world the rest of the week. THEY WILL CONSECRATE SOME PARTS OF THEIR LIFE WHILE looking for loopholes and gray areas and shortcuts and hacks for the rest. They're a cake not turned. We need to be turned in the fire of the Holy Spirit. Every opportunity we need the spirit and the word to expose and melt the unyielded parts in our life. One thing I learned about trying to cook this pizza or bake this pizza is even though even though it's hot on the inside and I've got the the agent, I've got the the steel in there, one thing that I have to do is spin it around. Every once in a while, I have to open it up and spin it around and make sure it's cooked evenly. Some of us, listen to me now, are uneven spiritually. We're uneven spiritually. We've got some part of our life that's dedicated. We've got this part of our life consecrated, BUT WE'VE GOT THIS PART where we're still self-sufficient, where we're still sitting on the throne thinking that we are our own Lord and own King. He really doesn't want this part of my life. But I want you to understand, you're a cake, not turned. If you really want to be devoted to Jesus, you're going to have to give him your whole life. He wants your mind, your heart, and your spirit and your strength. IT'S NOT JUST ONE PART OF YOUR LIFE. JESUS didn't give them just one hand and one foot. He gave them both hands and both feet and his whole body as a as A COME ON. WE ARE TO PRESENT OUR BODIES as a LIVING SACRIFICE. ALL PARTS OF US. HE WANTS TO REDEEM THE WHOLE MAN, NOT JUST PARTS OF YOUR LIFE. WE MUST BE COMPLETELY devoted to him. I DON'T WANT TO BE A CAKE UNTURNED. I wish somebody would lift up their hands right now and say, "Lord, turn me. Turn me. Turn me. Expose me to the word. Expose me to the spirit. Someone say amen. Jesus, put us all on the altar and help us to be completely devoted to you. Look at what it says here. Strangers have devoured his strength and he knoweth it not. Again, a play on words, isn't it? He says, "Strangers have devoured Ephraim's strength." The word devour in the Hebrew is the same word used over 800 times in the Old Testament for the phrase to eat. In everyday context, it simply means consuming food. So, as he said, he's a cake not turned. And yet strangers have eaten up or devoured or consumed what? His strength. To devour means to consume, to exhaust something completely. Think of locust devouring crops, fire devouring wood, or an invading army eating up a land's resources. It implies a total depletion. Not just a nibbling away or a snacking, but something being swallowed up and used until little or nothing remains. Ephraim's strength is devoured. And what's eating up its strength? Strangers. Strange things. Foreign agents. Things that shouldn't be are eating up its strength. LET ME ASK YOU A FEW QUESTIONS THIS MORNING. WHAT'S EATING up your strength? WHAT'S DEVOURING YOUR SPIRITUAL ENERGY? WHAT'S CONSUMING YOUR SPIRIT? WHAT'S draining your resources? For Ephraim, it was strangers. It was something alien and foreign. It's levan. IT'S AN OUTSIDE AGENT THAT SHOULDN'T be in there. It's an unhealthy mixture. It's an agent that corrupts and destroys. AND IF WE'RE NOT CAREFUL, WE WILL ALLOW things in our life to drain us spiritually. Let me ask you, are the THE ARE THE CHOICES THAT YOU MAKE every day giving you strength spiritually? Are the THINGS THAT YOU ARE PARTAKING OF? I know we have to work and I know we've GOT FAMILY AND I KNOW ALL THE things of life. I'm not talking about that. But there are there are some things that we can allow in our life. There are some things that can influence us so much that it drains us spiritually. I'm not talking about be being tired after working all day. That's not what I'm talking about. But there could be a spiritual exhaustion that takes place when we allow strange things into our life to drain us emotionally and spiritually and mentally. You need to take inventory of the things that drain you. Come on. as as food as literal food, real food gives you energy to live and to do things. There are things that we can allow in our life like a leech that begins TO SUCK OUT ALL OF THE ENERGY and the resources and leaving us with little energy FOR JESUS. WE'LL GIVE ALL OF OUR ENERGY AND our time and our resources for ALL THE THINGS AND YET WE'LL COME TO CHURCH ON Sunday morning and give him an hour and a half and think that's sufficient OR WE THINK THAT THAT'S ENOUGH TO GET US THROUGH THE NEXT DAY. I'M TELLING YOU IT'S NOT ENOUGH. YOU NEED TO be a you need to have a prayer life. You need to have a day. It's mana every day. GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD, NOT JUST DAILY ENTERTAINMENT. COME ON. DON'T THIS GUY. HE DOES NOT WANT YOUR LEFTOVERS. HE WANTS YOUR FIRST FRUITS. HE WANTS ALL OF US. Come on, somebody. I WANT TO BE COMPLETELY DEVOTED TO HIM. I WANT TO be turned. Turn me. Turn me and he knoweth it not. Something has stolen his strength and he knoweth it not. Like Samson shaking himself like he had always done and didn't know the spirit had left him. Ephraim's strength was devoured and they didn't even know it. I'm telling you, there can be something in your life that's draining you spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and you don't even know it. But I've come to TELL SOMEBODY, IF YOU'LL TURN THAT THING OVER INTO THE FIRE, IF YOU'LL TURN THAT PART OVER INTO, it can get your vitality back. Almost done. Come on, musicians. Look at this. Yay. Gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth it not. I try to shave my head about every other day. It's getting easier and easier to do. Takes very little time. I would not wish this upon my worst enemies. I'm just telling you, it's just the worst thing ever. I have dreams of having my brown hair still. It might be a nightmare. I don't know what it is. But if I go a few days without shaving my head, I look in the mirror and I'm like, "Is that gray hair?" It's not It's not bad enough, Lord, that you took the majority of my hair. I can't even let the sides grow out because it's gray hair making me look worse. Time moves at a frantic pace. Strength is the byproduct of youth. The writer in in Proverbs says, "The glory of young men is their strength and the beauty of old men is the gray head." But part of strength in your youth is knowing your purpose and your goal and your aim in life. I'll never I'll never forget one time I was I think I'd been out of high school a couple years and I was driving down the road down driving down the highway came to a red light in the highway and a friend of mine I went to school with from middle school through high school. He pulled up next to me and he rolled the window down. I'll never forget this interaction because it was wild and he was like we were I said, "Hey man, it's good to see you." He's like, "It's good seeing you." He goes, "Hey man, what you going to be when you grow up, man?" Like, bro, I'm 20. Like, like, you're thinking about this now. This is something we should have talked about, I don't know, 10 years ago. I really didn't know, honestly. But sometimes we start asking those questions too late in life. What does God want me to do now? IT'S NOT JUST SIMPLY WHAT he wants us to do later. Some of us want to serve God. We want to give him everything we've got when we're old, when we're when we've we figured it ALL OUT. I'M YOU'LL NEVER HAVE IT all figured out. AND WE'RE NOT PROMISED TOMORROW. Life is a vapor HERE TODAY, GONE TOMORROW. WHAT WE MUST DO IS USE THE STRENGTH THAT WE HAVE RIGHT NOW. IF HE'S GIVEN YOU STRENGTH and you're here right now, you need to use that strength to do what God has called you to do. AND FOR ISRAEL, IT WAS TO be a light to the Gentiles. IT WAS TO SPREAD FORTH THE GLORY OF GOD AND MAKE his name known among the nations. But instead, THE NATIONS HAD SO INFLUENCED THEM THAT THE LIGHT WAS DARK IN ISRAEL. I'M TELLING YOU, DON'T GIVE UP YOUR STRENGTH NOW FOR THE WORLD. It will leave you empty. IT WILL LEAVE YOU HOPELESS. YOU YOU'LL HAVE NO GAME IN LIFE. I'M TELLING YOU. AND BEFORE YOU KNOW IT, GRAY HAIRS WILL POP UP AND YOU SAY, "WHAT HAVE I DONE WITH MY LIFE? WHAT HAVE I DONE WITH MY TIME? WHAT DO I HAVE TO SHOW FOR? ALL OF MY ENERGY IS DEPLETED AND GONE." I'M TELLING YOU, DON'T WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW. GIVE YOUR LIFE TO HIS CAUSE NOW. GIVE YOUR LIFE TO HIS CAUSE NOW. BE COMPLETELY COMPLETELY SOLD OUT TO HIM. Stand with me. gray hair came upon them and they didn't even know time had slipped away because they had given their life to things that did not give them their fulfillment and their purpose. If we're not careful, listen to me, we will forgo what God wants us to do and wants us to be for all sorts of things that will never give us fulfillment. And all we'll have to show for it is regret. It's a it's it's it's a terrible feeling regretting things you didn't do. It's a terrible feeling looking back and say I wish I would have done is scrolling through social media at the end of your life if you're given the grace to look at your life and someone asks you the question what what do you wish you would have done in your youth I don't think any of us would say I really wish I would have scrolled through Facebook more man just really didn't have a whole lot. I mean, I'm telling you, just didn't I didn't have enough time to scroll through and watch Nate Whitley post pictures of the pizza that he cooked. Man, I'm just telling you this. I really wish we could have spent more time. You're not going to do that. What you will do is say, "I really wish I would have spent more time with the Lord. I really wish I would have spent more time with my family. I really wish I would have spent more time doing something for the Lord and reaching people." But you're it'll come up when you waste your life away. You're going to look back and all of a sudden the gray hairs are there and they're coming. They're coming quick. They'll be here before you know it. I can't I just can't tell you how fast life goes. But I'm telling you, you better give your time and your energy and your resources to him now. And all or if you don't, all you will have is a is emptiness and regret. Wishing halfbaked, half-hearted devotion devours your purpose. You waste precious time living for things that will never produce purpose and fulfillment. You have nothing to show for being part worldly and part churchy. Those unconsecrated parts of your life will never propel you to your destiny. They'll only devour your life. How? How can we change? What's the remedy for a cake not turned? You probably gone to Walmart. I'm making you all really, really hungry. That's why I'm trying to go fast right now. Gone to Walmart, Kroger, one of those places, Engles. Seen those rotisserie chicken things where they're cooking the rotisserie. Or if you're real high society fancy pants like me, you go to Wigles and you see the hot dogs spinning. Come on, somebody. Come on, somebody. you get hungry enough, you'll get you one of them hot dogs. But you know, they don't just expose that chicken or that or that hot dog to one side of the fire, right? Or if you if you like Mediterranean food and you see you go get you a girro somewhere and you see that meat, that lamb or that beef is spinning around that hot flame. Lord have mercy. I don't want just one side of my meat cooked, right? I want it exposed to the flame. We must have complete exposure and honesty with ourselves. What part of my life is cold? Come on. What part of my life is not consecrated? What part of my life is not completely yielded and surrendered to him? Turn to chapter 14. I'm closing. They're going to come out. We're going to sing. We're going to have a time in the in the altars. Verse one of chapter 14 says, "Oh Israel, return to the Lord, for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity." I love verse two. I might have to preach this some other time. Take with you words. What? Take take with you words and say this. unto him, take away all iniquity and receive us graciously. So we will render the calves or the bulls of our lips. In other words, is this he doesn't want a lamb or a bull. What he wants is you. You see, the only thing when they would come and they would bring an offering in the Old Testament, they would bring the sacrifice. They checked the sacrifice, not the offerer. You ain't hearing me. The sacrifice had to be perfect, not the offer. Jesus, God have mercy. You see, we're waiting to be perfect. And he's saying, "I I I've already got what's perfect, and that's a sacrifice, and that's Jesus Christ. What I want from you is your heart. I'm not asking you to be perfect. I'm just asking you to be honest." God have mercy. I JUST WANT I I'VE PROVIDED THE SACRIFICE, and that's Jesus Christ. What I want from you is words. And where does words come from? They come from your heart. They come from your mind. They come from your emotions. They come from your feelings. They come from who. THAT'S WHAT I WANT. I'M not wanting you to be perfect. The sacrifice, THE THE OFFERING'S ALREADY BEEN PROVIDED AND THAT WAS PERFECT. JESUS CHRIST IS THE PERFECT SACRIFICE. WHAT I WANT FOR YOU IS TO BRING ME WORDS OF CONSECRATION AND WORDS OF HONESTY AND WORDS OF REPENTANCE. THAT'S WHAT I'M WANTING TODAY IS for you to say, "TURN ME, LORD. Turn me, Lord. TURN ME, LORD. TURN ME, LORD. EXPOSE ME TO YOUR SPIRIT. And look at this word. Don't overlook it. I'm telling you, don't overlook it. Verse four. I will heal their backsliding. I will love them freely, for mine anger is turned. If you will turn towards him in repentance, my God, he will turn towards you in love and grace and mercy. If you will turn before him and say, "Lord, I'm going to give you everything that I am. All my heart, all my mind, all my emotions, all these places, these dark places, these private places, I don't think you really understand. I'm giving that to you." The Lord says, "I'll turn toward you. If you'll just turn towards me, I'll turn towards you. I wonder if you'll lift up your hands, lift up your heart right now and say, "Lord, I don't want to be a cake that's not turned. I don't want to be a saint that's not turned. I don't want to be somebody who's turned from you, Lord, and turned to other things, self-sufficiency and things of this world. I don't want to be mixed up with the things of this world." I wonder if somebody would come to an altar today and say, "Lord, turn me. Turn me, Lord. Turn me, Lord. AS YOU TURN TOWARDS ME, LET ME TURN, oh God, my heart towards you. LET ME TURN ALL THE SECRET PARTS AND THE dark places in my life that I try to cover up and try to conceal. God, I pray that your light would reveal it unto me. I pray that you would reveal IT, OH GOD, SO I CAN REPENT and you'll TURN TOWARDS ME. I DON'T WANT TO BE a cake unturned. I don't want to be a phony. I don't want to be halfbaked, half devoted, half consecrated, half worldly, and half churchy. God, I want to be completely devoted unto you. This is wonderful. Come on, just offer him words. Bring with you words. Bring with you words of repentance. Bring with you words of repentance and say, "Lord, turn me." >> Come on. Would you lift up your voice? >> Holiness. >> Oh, holiness is what I long for. >> That's what I long for. >> Holiness is what I need. Holiness, holiness is what you want for me. >> Come on. Would you lift up your hands and let this be your prayer? >> Take my heart. >> Take my heart and take my mind. >> Take my mind. >> Transform it. Take my will. >> Come on. Take my will come to you. >> Come on, one more time. Lift up your hands. Lift up your heart. Let this be a prayer. >> Take my heart. >> Take my heart. >> Take my life. >> Transform it. >> Transform it. Take my wings, Lord. >> Through your love. >> Take my heart. >> Take my heart. >> Take my heart and pour it. >> Take my life. >> Take my heart. >> Transform it, Lord.
