Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

Why this book: teach them to pray

  • He and his wife wrote the book for the parents of this church — not a book to hand a child to read through alone, but a guide for parents to teach their own children to pray; if you can talk, you can pray.
  • It was inspired by his wife's grandmother's spiritual-warfare prayer book, whose youth-choir prayer walks ran six or seven hours a day on a simple structure of prayer.
  • The Lord's Prayer is the model: not necessarily a script to repeat, but a guide for how to pray — and this book works the same way, its example prayers meant to be repeated only as long as the child means them.
  • He cannot remember which games his parents attended or what he got for his fourteenth Christmas, but he remembers being woken by his father's hands on his ankles and his father's praying voice, and his mother reading a chapter a day with the children and leading them in prayer.
  • The disciples who watched Jesus open blind eyes and raise the dead still had to ask, 'Teach us to pray'; a child who knows how to call on the name of Jesus in a crisis has the difference maker.

Two rules and the first lap: high-fiving God

  • Rule one: you cannot pray with a closed mouth — prayer has volume; children have no trouble lifting their voices, and praying aloud keeps a person focused and on course.
  • Rule two: be real — God does not accept fakes; prayer is humbling yourself and admitting, 'I don't have it all together, I need help'; his father told him, if you don't pray before you preach, you are telling God you don't need him.
  • The book builds endurance through five laps of prayer; lap one runs every day — high-fiving God: I praise you, I thank you, I'm sorry, I need you, and praise again.
  • Praise: he reads the book's 'Bible fuel' aloud — 'O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name' — praise is bragging on God, and God inhabits the praises of his people.
  • Thanksgiving must be expressed to be thanksgiving: of the ten lepers, the one who returned to give thanks was made whole; an unthankful spirit stands in the last-days list of the worst sins.
  • I'm sorry: 'Create in me a clean heart, O God' — and the category for judging an action is not merely sin or not sin, but does it please God?
  • I need you: 'Now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think' — but God is to be welcomed with praise and thanks before the needs are laid out.

Lap two: the whole armor of God

  • Lap two puts on the whole armor through prayer, piece by piece, each piece carrying its own scriptures so the children understand why they are putting it on.
  • The helmet of salvation protects the mind; the breastplate of righteousness keeps the heart right — the heart is deceitful, sneaky and wicked; the belt of truth, because the truth will make you free.
  • The shield of faith: faith in the word is the protection; and the sword of the Spirit — the Bible is like a sharp two-edged sword — and the shoes of peace, to be a peacemaker wherever you walk.

Lap three: binding and loosing

  • 'I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven' — if Peter had the keys and preached Acts 2:38, believers should follow Matthew 16:19 with binding and loosing.
  • The man whose son fell into fire and water had been possessed since he was a child; Jesus said this kind comes out only by prayer and fasting — it was not the demon's strength but how long it had rooted.
  • A thought of not being good enough planted at seven can be making a twenty-five-year-old's decisions; root it out while it is young: bind the spirit of fear — God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind — and loose love in its place.
  • He tells of a young lady in a KidzQuest service — her name deliberately left unspoken tonight — carrying thoughts of depression, and of teaching the children through a story about untapped power that the power in them must be unlocked by binding and loosing rather than coddled.

Scriptures: Matthew 16:19

Laps four and five: pray big, pray the word

  • Lap four prays big prayers for the future: God requires that we do what we can, and when we reach what we cannot do, that is the moment God steps in.
  • Lap five prays the word itself — praying the Oneness of God ('Hear, O Israel: the LORD our God is one LORD'), praying for faith, which comes by hearing the word, and standing on 'Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.'
  • Children will not be saved in one day of prayer; it is the ritual of daily prayer — a lap a day — that God honors somewhere in the middle of the circus.
  • His one goal for every parent: that their children receive the gift of the Holy Ghost at home, in an atmosphere of prayer their mother and father created — as he prays his own infant daughter will one day receive it at home.
  • He closes by leading the congregation to stand and commit to prayer in their homes.

rual Church T afternoon then after that to hear from pastor about re the rituals um i b not to do the presentation we we to hear hear the word of God tonight my wife and I were so honored to go on a journey and writing the kids prayer book and simply the the reason we wrote this book or attempted to write this book is to give our parents of the church uh didn't write for anybody else wrote for our kids of fac and we've got a presentation they'll put on the the screen here I want to thank sister relle sards and I want to thank her for completely putting this together uh she basically in a few hours took the elements of our book and completely design redesigned it to fit this wall uh lots of hard work and I want to thank her for that tonight but the reason we wrote this book was to give our parents um a a guide to go by I I believe if we don't plan we plan to fail you know uh um there's many things in Scripture that um God blesses structure we see in the The Lord's Prayer we see in the Lord's Prayer it's not necessarily to be repeated but it's to give us a good guide on how to pray um and that's what this book is this book uh gives us example prayers um and things for uh they can repeat these words in this book and uh it would be a good idea to start there uh but gives them a guide on what to say um and and how how to say it this book was created uh for our students to to guide them in their journey of prayer to give you a little background about the book it uh was inspired by a spiritual warfare prayer book that was written by Flan's grandmother uh the legendary Judy Dy and if you have uh have that book or have been through that book would you raise your hand spiritual war Warfare uh prayer book that's so awesome so awesome uh is a it's a legendary book and we hope to impact just a small percent 0.00% of how many that's impacted that would be the goal of ours and and sister Dy would would take her youth choir to uh places all around the world in the most ungod ungodly cultures all around the world and there they would embark on what they called prayer walks and what these prayer walks were was six or seven hours a day uh they would go and take young people and pray and uh if you're praying six and seven hours a day you better have a good idea what you're doing all right and before I I see some of your parents kind of whispering to one another our goal for your children is necessarily not to pray six or seven hours a day all right not to scare you at all but they had a plan uh a simple structure of how to pray and uh so this this idea we wanted to take this idea and turn into a kid's book uh we wanted a structure so simple uh that a kid could do it like Pastor said uh Pastor said if you can talk you can pray this book is not is not to Simply hand to a kid and for them to read their way through this book to prayer this book is for the parents or someone who's taking care of a child and teaching them how to pray I look back at my life and the greatest moments of my life was when my parents taught me how to pray it's the greatest moments of my life I I think back to I think back to all my high school basketball games my middle school games and I necessarily I I really can't tell you what games that my parents were at I can't tell you I know they were at a lot of them and I don't want to sound unthankful but I can't necessarily if you ask me where they at this game I I have no clue I would say yes just because they were at all of them if if not all a good majority or I I know I was raised as a blessed kid but I can't necessarily tell you the thing that made me blessed or how the toy or that sounds kidish the this the when I was 14 something I got from my parents that I knew I was blessed I can't I know I was blessed I know they were at games but I can't tell you the games that they were at or or they weren't or he was preaching somewhere or uh if Mom was busy with try I can't tell you the games that they were I I can't tell you the blessings I know I was blessed I don't want to sound unth thanful but it's like the older that I get the older I get the more you start to think about things that matter and I can tell you Time After Time After Time that I was woke up in prayer by by the prayer of My Father I remember one particular morning I was sound asleep probably 14 15 years old and felt these two hands that has slid underneath the the sheets on my ankles you talk about a wakeup call all right and I heard the passion of my dad's voice I don't remember how B I know I was blessed but if that's the greatest blessing that you could ever give your kids is to pray for them I I I can tell you that happened Time After Time After Time I can tell you about every morning for as much as I can remember as a kid I I remember my mom would take Fallon Lauren and I and we'd read one chapter of the Bible every single day and after that we would pray and my mother would lead us in prayer now it's not anything like you would hear in the mornings here it's not anything like you would hear in the prayer room it resembled more of a circus sometimes rather than a prayer meeting but I just want to tell you that's that's the things I can remember I don't remember what games they were at or what what they gave me as a I don't remember my 14th uh Christmas I I can't tell you those things but I can tell you my parents made an effort to teach us me and my siblings how to pray that's the greatest blessing this book is not for th those kids to go by themselves go through by themselves but it's for you to have in your hands to to te Teach Your Children how to pray if the disciples had to ask Jesus to teach them how to pray these were the the people who saw Jesus open the blinded eyes do you know rais the dead and all these things that were mindblowing Miracles and they still had to ask Jesus teach us to pray then our children the greatest gift that God could give someone is a child besides the Holy Ghost and salvation is a child they need to learn how to pray I'm thankful that my parents taught me how at least attempted I hope I was a I hope I was a good student they taught us how to communicate with God because on their worst days blessing is not going to save them when times of Crisis enters into their life it doesn't matter how blessed they were as a child if someone knows how to pray it could be the Difference Maker in in their life if you can teach your child when you get in a midst of Crisis if you can just call on the name of Jesus that will change their life and I believe the Lord deserves a great Round of Applause a hand clap of praise tonight so the introduction to the parents tonight there are a few rules that go along with this book and it kind of spells them out more or less to the children but the next slide if you'll just follow along with me there for for a few moments introduction to the parents there's two rules that this book focuses on number one rule you cannot pray with a closed mouth it's impossible to pray with a closed mouth matter of fact there's volume levels uh to prayer there's volume levels and that's a loud voice you see all the time how God uh how how the people of God would lift their voice with a loud voice and I I kids have no problem and I know you know this kids have no problem lifting up their voices all right I've got an e-mon old and flry and I have been blessed uh to have a 12-year-old for last few weeks in our home as well flanders's little sister [name redacted] and they have no problem lifting up their voices and talking when they have something to say you're going to know it when they have something to say they have no problem lifting their voices to that decimal level that pierces your eardrum and matter of fact I had had [name redacted] Windsor and London and when those three girls get together last night around midnight you know they had something to say children have no and don't tell Windor I'm calling her a child but children have no problem lifting up their voices when they have something to say prayers is the same way I don't believe our children don't want to pray they're good they're that God says for us to Jesus says for us to be like a child child I don't believe our children have a problem of not wanting to pray it's childlike faith God Jesus all the time was comparing uh was comparing Pharisees hey if you just become like these children disciples if you want to know the greatest say look at that child right there God all the time was comparing you need to you need to to be become like a a child so if they have something to say it's easier for them to lift their voice and the the reason is it helps you keep it it it helps you to be focused it helps you to stay the course in prayer when they have something to say they will lift their voice and number two the second rule of prayer something to watch out for as you go through this book is you have to be real in prayer God does not in prayer does not accept fakes and phonies God wants you to be real in prayer matter of fact there's a bunch of scriptures about God giving uh some some special grace to the humble it's when somebody B lowers themsel and not all high and mighty and that's what prayer that's what prayer is is humbling yourself and prayer is telling God God I don't have it all together I need help that's what prayer I remember the the the probably the statement that that has affected my life the most especially when I I attempted to to become a minister and and and and my dad would tell me Nolan if you don't pray you you are telling God you do not need him if you're telling if you don't pray before you preach you're telling God God I got it all right and so our children when they pray they can use words that mean something to them they don't have to have a KJV prayer I tell the kids hey you can tell God you are awesome God you're stronger than any superhero that I know because that means something to those kids they've got something to say they'll lift their voice and don't pray like you have it all together if you had it all together why in the world are you praying we're praying because we know we need God and we need our children to learn how to pray this book the purpose of this book you go to the next slide purpose of this book is to develop their endurance through prayer uh there are five laps of prayer U this drives uh this draws um inspiration from Flan's grandmother's prayer book they had as they had walks uh that they would go on uh this prayer book leads our children through laps of prayer now what I would not recommend is you and your kid tomorrow morning going through all five laps if you do that you will be physically exhausted all right just like if you went around it cracks me up about uh junior competition time we do a a cross country they run around this building like four times and those kids who take off run that first lap they're Sprint they're in first place like 10 foot uh after the start line and they like they're giving the peace signs they're like throwing up the the V they're Victorious and then you don't see them for like 27 minutes and then everybody else is pass so what it is is you got to have an end you got to train your endurance through prayer all right so this first lap and they they sister relle has done such a great job um I taught on this a couple Sunday nights or Sunday mornings ago in Kids Quest and we were talking about this first lap of Prayer in this first lap of prayer we are going to high five God something simple uh that we and I know my mother has already caught it I don't know why the little character hands have four fingers okay we're going to give God a high four all right all right thank you mother I knew she would catch it and she's going yeah all right so it does have four fingers and I can't tell you why all right uh actually what's funny is no one's ever noticed that until I taught on it in Kids Quest Sunday morning and uh the holding mayy was like four fingers just see ignore it all right all right just ignore it okay I don't know why sister relle sister relle did not do that all right uh but it's anyways you're missing the point all right so lap one lap one of prayer this is something this lap number one is something that we're going to do every day it holds your uh what we feel your basic five elements to prayer if you are going to pray with your kids it would be a good idea you don't have time for a marathon every day but maybe you have time for a short little Sprint let's just Sprint one lap all right hope that makes sense okay lap number one we're going to we're going to we're going to decide before we start to pray are you running a Sprint or a marathon either way we're going to do lap number one every single day and that is high-fiving God the first thing that we do when we are in the lap number one the next slide please is we are going to praise God lap number one first step is I praise you and this is what the pages in the book that it looks like it gives you example prayers and then it gives you Bible fuel something to keep your uh your endurance up to give you a little energy uh to to Really finish this lap of prayer I think it's important that we not only teach them uh the how but your kids want to know the why why am I praising God I think this this generation they they they they know they watch us do the how or at least they should okay I find myself and this is not at anybody I'm just telling you my experiences I find myself in prayer now I for okay for instance I uh preach me and my wife were preaching in Trinity Alabama a precious group of people there that are doing an awesome job there uh raising a church in TR a Oneness Church in Trinity Alabama and I think that's hilarious but we were preaching there and it was our first you know my wife surely not heard me preach a whole lot you know I got to do good because this is our first thing this is our first place uh that that that we were preaching married and and uh so I I begin to pray and I just like hitting the wall hitting the wall and uh was praying and God I need you God you hear me I need you God I and I found myself going to a statement and I said God I pray tonight that there's one moment where your presence is undeniable God if I could just have one moment where the word's coming forth and and your presence just comes in it's so real it's undeniable I began to think to myself but claen that's good stuff I know that's good stuff and I got to thinking where did I hear that statement and then it was almost like God just put this image in of my mind of my dad kneeling down praying and he would say God you've probably heard him say it in the prayer room God to not let there be one moment well your presence is undeniable what's the point of that your children are going to copy what they hear all right they're going to what what they hear their moms and dads pray they're they're going to copy and and inside of this book it's not for just for the the the words to for them to to repeat and I know sometimes it's when when you ask people to pray and and there's kind of a a people kind of look down upon repeating after me and I uh and I and I get all that um but with this it is repeat after me as long as you mean what you say all right you can go through this whole book and just read read read read it mean nothing but when you really mean what you say that's when it takes power so this I praise you they'll go through Lord I praise you for all that you've done for me you have been better than go better than me than I've been to myself you are so good you'll always have been you always will be I love you with all my heart I praise your holy name if I was when Magnolia comes of age that uh we'll be able to she'll be able to understand what we're saying um I would start with these scriptures and say Magnolia we're going to we're going to praise God it's our first step of high-fiving God I'm going to read the scripture oh Lord this is why we do it here's our fuel to to why we're doing what we're about to do oh Lord Thou Art my God I will exalt thee I will praise thy name for thou Hast done wonderful things thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth because of thy loving kindness is better than life my lips shall praise you that's the why we're about to praise him and for all you KJV lovers it's KJV because that's what we need to establish our kids upon that's besides the point so then I'd go into to praying I praise you and and obviously and the thing that was in our minds uh with this is we've got to get God's attention brother Ammons that statement is just so impactful that you may years ago that I've got to get God's attention so hopefully we've got God's attention this first uh uh lap of I praise you and and you can tell your children with praising God you simply have to brag on him all right everybody likes to be bragged on all right be like brother Yates if I begin to tell you man you're so awesome you are the best looking Joker I've ever seen in my life brother Yates you tack that gym floor better than anybody brother Yates you are the man the question is brother Yates when I begin to tell you those things does that make you feel good sure okay God and brother Yates have a lot in common all right when you begin to brag on God he begins to come where he's bragged on the Bible says he inhabits the Praises of his people so wherever we begin to tell God what would make him feel good that's where God will show up if we tell God how awesome he is and all these things that our kids can explain what do you think I would ask your kids child what do you think would make God feel good and let's tell him that in the first step of high-fiving God that's I praise you when I when I praise God I praise him because of who he is I praise him for who he is next slide please I then we're moving on to I thank God I thank you first was I Praise You second I I thank you we're going to go through the Bible fuel there oh give thanks unto the Lord for he is good for his mercy endureth forever and to the end that my glory may sing praise to thee and not be silent oh Lord my God I'll give thanks unto thee forever and then we're going to go into thanking God I know we'll get into forgiveness and all those things in a second but I believe this is one of the greatest steps in prayer is teaching our children how to be thankful to be thanful that's one of the the things that's missing especially My Generation CU a lot of things were given to us is the spirit of not being thankful there's plenty of people in the Bible that got some extra things because they were thankful for what they had there's leprosy that was not only healed but made whole because someone chose to be thankful and we know we can be thankful all you want to but if you don't express your thankfulness that's not thankfulness at all that's not true thankfulness can you tell me those other lepers we not thankful it changed their life you you got I I know I would venture say if those people are human like I am they can go back into society I would say man I'm pretty thankful but if you don't express your thankfulness then that's still being unthankful According To Jesus because that that one leper that came and gave thanks and I can't wait to use this on Magnolia when she doesn't say thank you for something I'm like man that's that's dangerous now you listening for the trumpet because it must be the end times because it says in the last days perilous times you know there's murderers yeah there's murderers you know there's blasphemers yeah there's oh disobedient to parents that better not be you and then uh Unholy yeah oh but in that scripture it says unthankful the Le the the worst sins in Scripture it has unthankful with me being in that list of the worst sins and that's proba that's just something I made up in my head I probably won't do that I love that girl more than everything all right all right so I I thank you being thankful showing God uh that and we can all look at our lives and we have something to be thankful for we have something to be thankful for but if you don't express it then it's unthankful so once we get to uh what what I would say one of the most important steps of high-fiving God I thank God we're going to go into something that we should do every day Paul says I Die daily we're going to go into I I'm sorry and there's scriptures obviously create me a clean heart oh God and renew a right Spirit within me if my people which are called by my name the great scripture that we've been going I will forgive their sins and I'll heal their land then we're going to go into God if there's anything in my life that does not make you happy show it to me and that really there is is what Pastor said the other night about pleasing in God it's not necessarily you know sin not sin let's just put everything in the category of does it please God if it doesn't make God happy then we shouldn't do it and the scripture says for he that he that knoweth to do good and doeth not to him it's so so we got to make God happy and that's if it doesn't make you happy God show it to me if there's a sin in my life I do not know is wrong a secret fault it's the KJV prayers every secret fault that you findeth in Mine Heart that's what this was trying to say if there is a sin in my life that I do not know is wrong help me to see it and to change my ways if I've done or said anything that is not pleasing there it is to you please for forgive me this is a huge step in high-fiving high-fiving God forgiveness uh is a huge a huge a huge step help me to see it and help me to change my ways and this is uh a side note here uh God God May reveal it to us um and the true definition of repentance is to never do it again all right so it's not just I'm praying a a sorry prayer but it's a Praying a sorry prayer than acting upon it's like the Bible is full of actions it's one thing to be thankful but you got to act upon it's one thing to be sorry but you gotta act like you're sorry okay change your ways and that's the uh the next scripture then we get into things number four uh uh step number four on the high fiving God is telling God that I need him okay uh scripture says now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask and or think according to the power that worketh in us but my God shall supply all your needs man that that's going to get me excited for this uh this step of prayer according to his riches and Glory by Christ Jesus it's so easy for us to kneel down in prayer and go straight to step number four all right so easy I I I'm guilty I'm guilty I'm guilty you come to God you come to prayer you come to prayer because you need God and so you go right to this step all right I did it few mornings ago just knelt down and started say God I need you and well God needs to be welcomed before we give him what we need so I need you to guide me in every area of my life I need less of me and more of you I need you to help my family who do not know God great things hopefully just a structure of them to get their mind going on how they personally need God and I'd love for them to write in these books and then when uh Lord help my pride here when it's all you know they don't need God in that scenario anymore go buy another book that would be awesome all right so step number step number four some of you will get that later anyways so uh step number five excuse me I praise you but the fifth step of prayer we're going to we're going to end this uh this this lap how we started is praising God praising God because he's a prayer answerer uh praising God because he's heard all of our needs I praise you that you will supply uh all because you will supply my needs I praise you because you are doing something in me now of course I made that uh a good bit more lengthy than it it should be but uh that's something that's a Sprint that you could do every day just now the the character would end on step four but this is high five in God so go to step number five and finish the first lap of prayer uh by high-fiving high-fiving God moving to the second lap of prayer all right if if you determine uh maybe we're going to do one step we're going to do one lap of prayer this morning uh and then the goal of this book and I forgot to say this in the beginning the goal of this book is to do a high-fiving God every morning but then find another lap to do and you can do on Monday do lap one and two on Tuesday do lap one and three on and you get the gist Wednesday do lap one and four and start all over in the process the second lap of prayer is putting on the whole armor the whole armor of God you go to the next screen for me uh the next towel and it has every piece every piece of the whole armor of God uh we're going to put on uh through prayer it has specific uh prayers for every piece put on the helmet of salvation the breastplate of righteousness the sword of the spirit The Shield of faith Faith the belt of Truth the shoes of peace of course we we know there's the whole armor of God but in each page it has scriptures that go goes along uh which each each piece and helps them to understand uh the why they are putting on the shoes of peace all right the belt of truth of the truth the sword of the spirit and so on so forth then at the final uh step of this lap the next screen uh they're going to put on the whole armor of God just one big prayer and uh we can take hold the shield of faith that there's nothing my way that comes my way that your word cannot protect me from it correlates what the shield of faith is U to the word of God my faith in your word is my protection I take the sword of the spirit the Bible is like a sharp two-edged sword God helped me to spread the word to my friends or the lost people I know we'll move on the breastplate of righteousness keep my heart right the Bible says my heart is deceitfully or I like to use kids words sneaky and wicked I want my motives to be pure I tighten the belt of truth the truth will make me free in every area of my life I want to be wrapped up in the truth of who you are today I put on the helmet of salvation today protect my mind let me think the thoughts that you want me to think I put on the shoes of peace everywhere I walk let me bring the peace with me and help me to be a peacemaker whatever life throws at me let peace be with with me a powerful prayer to pray is to put on the whole armor of God next lap lap number three this is um a lap that some people like man that's a little serious for children all right binding and loosing casting out demons that sounds awesome know you're you're you think your kids got no demons I I agree they're great kids um they're great kids so we we don't we don't have to cast down any demons but with the keys to the king om of Heaven the scripture says that I'll give you the Keys of the Kingdom of Heaven so whatsoever Thou shalt bind on Earth shall be bound in heaven whatsoever Thou shalt loose on Earth shall be loosed in heaven if you believe Peter had the keys to the kingdom of heaven and he preached acts 238 I know acts 238 is powerful and that gives us the power of the Holy Ghost the power of repentance the power of baptism in Jesus name taking on the name of Jesus if you believe in Acts 238 you should follow Matthew 16:19 with binding and loosing I really think some kids that grow up to be teenagers face things and it it it it does things to their personality and it starts when they are a kid the Bible talks about Jesus talks has this man come up to him and the Bible says when this man sees him he begins to fall on the floor and fall at the mouth and begin to Waller begin to kick around and we know that this man was possessed with the devil and we know that the story is the disciples try to cast him out and they can't and they're wondering why in the world can't they cast this this demon out of this man and Jesus says this type this only comes out by prayer and fasting now we know it wasn't the strength of the demons that were was in this man but we know that it was how long the demon had been in the man okay it wasn't necessarily that they weren't more powerful than this spirit that was in this man but it was how much root it had in that man's life he looked Jesus looked to the father and said man how how long has he been this way how long have you put up with this type of behavior and he looks to Jesus and he says since he was a child a child from a child and so in this binding and loosing or as we're going to call it unlock we're going to lock things up lock and we're going to unlock we're going to bind by locking things up and we're going to Loose by unlocking what God would have us to be loose in our lives and and what happens and I know and I A A parent of eight and a half months as of now and I promise I'm not I don't know what flry knows what she's doing I have no clue what I'm doing okay we're just learning as we go um it's awesome plan we have I have she's she's a professional it's crazy but uh it it some some thoughts that enters our kids' Minds when they're six and seven years old things like the thought of not being good enough or the thought of depression us adults would call it the thought of not being good enough you let that thought enter into a a young lady a young girl at seven years old that's a spirit okay that's a spirit because it is so contrary to what God's word says about that young lady anything that's not according to the word of God is a spirit from hell that would like to bind that young person up would like to bind that kid up and so so the point is a seven-year-old girl has this thought of not being enough well that seveny year old girl is going to turn into a 16-year-old girl and that Spirit just like that man in Scripture that thing has time to to to cultivate it has time to to take root then you have a 16-year-old girl who's just searching for a little selfworth because she's had the spirit or the thought since she was seven years old that she doesn't she's not good enough and and then that that same thought affects their personality it it they get 18 they start making live choices then they're making live choices from that simple little thought when they were seven years old that I'm simply not good enough and what happens when you have a 25-year-old who's making decisions from that small little thought as a seven-year-old girl I've we've seen it happen that type only comes by prayer in fasting but the scripture gives us the fix that whatever you bind on Earth shall be bound in heaven and what whatever you loose on Earth will be loosed in heaven I would rather teach our children that you have the ability to fight whatever hell comes your way and if we could put it on their level and have them understand it just like you open up that locker and you shut that Locker it's the same what thing with binding and Lucy I have that thought of I have that thought of the spirit of fear I lock that spirit of fear in my life for God hath not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind and I unlock your love in my life let me feel your arms wrapped around you and it's like Jesus is saying to us through this story of the man that had was possessed with a demon don't coddle and don't try to put up with something that's meant to be cast out don't try to to help them through it you cannot talk them through a spirit you can cast that thought out and replace in their mind that you are loved you are enough God created You In His Image I bind that in the name of Jesus and I loose God thoughts I I loose thoughts that you are enough I loose thoughts that God created you perfect in his eyes and if we can root that out if we can pluck that up when it's not taken root simply by binding and loosing and I'll tell you a story and Pastor I'm taking away too much time and I sincerely I sincerely apologize one of the most U fulfilling and I I use that word very humbly but one of the most fulfilling moments in a kids quest service there was a young lady I'll leave her name uh uh a nameless tonight but there was a young lady I I could we could see it on her face we we knew things uh that she we knew things about her life she had these sort of thoughts and and we we we're just going to label it as depression and I tried to to go around this subject and tried my best to tried my best to put it to where they would understand it told a story about this this student who who went on a field trip and uh went to a science lab and then tried to make up the details as we went just super orange and that sermon but talked about this student when they snuck away from their class and they entered into this place that had big sign on the door that says do not enter it's radio active and this this student was bit by a radioactive spider and I hope you know where I'm going now in this radioactive spider gave this this student these Powers his name was Peter Parker Spider-Man and but what if Spider-Man Peter Parker never shot those webs that he was able to shoot what if that and I'm going down the list I'm trying to find a place to land probably like I'm going to do this but trying to find a place to end it and and it was like God spoke to me and said some of you kids have a power inside of you that you're not tapping into I know you got the Holy Ghost now you got the Holy Ghost You've Got The Power Within you but what if we never unlock the true potential of the Holy Ghost in our life by never binding and loosing stuff and I started started down the road with the altar call and and and you know thoughts of not being good enough and whatever Satan is fighting our kids with in the negative fighting God's word we counteract that we're able to loose things in the spiritual realm in the scripture the greatest thing we can pray is your will be done and God's will is in the word of God yes and you begin to loose things in the word of God over your children because Satan is against everything that's in the scripture Satan hates scripture he knows the scripture so he's going to try to do everything opposite of the scripture he's going to tell them you're not loved and God is saying all the while loose the spirit of love in their life we have this page right here the spirit of fear I have we have kids come to us and say brother noan fler we're having I'm having nightmares it's a spirit of fear I get to tell them that you know David a man after God's Own Heart this mighty warrior that was able to kill Goliath he was Bible says that he had Terrors by night and what I think that's just me my elementary brain reading that I would think that's nightmares if it's not don't tell me because it sure does make them kids feel good when I tell them hey David had nightmares you know what you and the gath killer have in common you both have nightmares but those nightmares are not of God that's a spirit of fear and I'm going to tell them we've got to unlock love power and of a sound mind I it's not God's will for our kids to have thoughts of not being good enough God is a good father and he doesn't want his kids feeling that way and he gave parents and children the ability to loose things in the name of Jesus and while we're at it I bind the spirit that would tell our kids that they're not good enough I bind the spirit that would tell them that they're not loved and they're not created in the image of God I bind it in the name of Jesus devil and I loose a spirit that God's love would be wrapped around them God let them feel the love of you in their life I loose it in the name of Jesus Christ I bind a spirit of fear that wants to grab and cultivate in our kids' life and I loose the power of love and peace and of a sound mind through the name of Jesus Christ Christ would you clap your hands all across this house tonight amen amen amen you'll go to the next page please I don't I don't know where at lying Spirit sorry go back one more time lying Spirit we can lock that in the name of Jesus God I'll lock up the lying spirit in my life that tries to distract me from you and I'll unlock your excellent spirit that knows right from wrong next verse or next it's not the Bible the next slide please lap number four for praying big big prayers takes a lot of Bible fuel uh to get through this lap this is a lap you can go through but my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches and Glory touch the needs in my life These are these are Big these are big big problems you got uh uh families that are are going through sickness help help your kid have the just attempt to have the gift of faith go to this lap and pray huge prayers because we teaching we are teaching our children children God requires one thing of us when it comes to Faith you got to do what you can and if you do what you can when you get to that moment you cannot do anything else that's the moment God steps in that's right and so this lap when you begin to pray big prayers I believe God will begin to move I pray big God it's going to take big prayers to get me through my future and so we're GNA pay pray big prayers for my future I I remember and the point and and going back to what we probably should be hearing right now about the rituals this is not you're you're not going to we're not going to save our kids in one day but it's through daily prayer that our kids are going to be saved you don't have your your children are just not going to pop in and just be on fire for God in that first day of prayer it might look like a circus in our home like it did in our home but it was the ritual of daily prayer daily walking a lap of prayer daily walking a lap of prayer and I promise you if you don't see the progress you are making a difference in your child's life if you are teaching them how to pray this final this fourth lap is praying praying big prayers and then lap number five we're going to pray the word of God pray the word of God this is huge this has Oneness uh scriptures on this lap uh we're praying that God would give me a love for your word give me a love for the truth and and when I have a love for the truth there's no lie that can convince me that that's not the truth it's a huge step of prayer uh uh uh for our kids praying the word of God praying that we know that hero Israel the Lord our God is one Lord I'm thankful to know that the word says you are the one true God and your name is Jesus thank you for the truth of who you are praying for faith we know faith comes by hearing and hearing that by the word of God ask and it shall be given to you seek and you shall find knock it shall be open unto you Matthew 7:7 and the prayer we're going to pray with that is I know know you could answer every prayer I've prayed today youd be so kind to stand with me and I've left you in that Pastor that that awkward stage of of the time and I I sincerely apologize tonight but one goal one goal that I feel like every every parent should have in this place one goal and I know you're you're thinking you have an eight-month old baby all right and I I know that but a goal for every parent parent in this place that you have a child that does not yet have the Holy Ghost a parent for a goal for everyone in this house and a goal for our my family when Magnolia comes of the age of accountability a goal for my family is I want Magnolia to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost at home I want her to receive the gift of the holy ghost in a prayer room that her mom and dad have created if I can create an environment where Magnolia feels the presence of God and Mom I know it was like a circus but there's some sometimes that there was a moment I can't explain it but there was a moment in that all that Fallon was flicking me in the ear and Lauren was being mean to me in a moment in those moments there was the power of God I can't explain it it was like God was honoring a ritual that we were doing that's somewhere in the midst of doing daily prayer that God enters in and I want our kids to be on fire for God I want them to be lovers of prayer pray blessings are not going to save them our blessings that we give our kids are not going to save them attending their games makes them feel good but it's not going to save them but prayer is going to save our kids prayer's going to give them hope in their soul that they need one more time would you lift your hands all across this house and would you begin to pray for your children right now would you pray for your children God give us a love right now as they learn about prayer I feel the Holy Ghost in This House Tonight God baptize us with passion God we can save the world but what does it cost us if we look we don't save our home God I know I want to love to give the missions but God my first mission is to create an atmosphere of Prayer in my home God I want to be the leader of my home I want to teach Magnolia how to pray God I don't want my wife to do it God I want to be the husband of the home the leader of the home I want my kids to be raised in hearing her dad pray lifting up their voice and pray she could see me be passionate in a lot of areas but one area I want to be most passionate and for to her to see it is in the area of prayer God right now baptize us with a passion God forgive us for not making it a ritual in our home but God tonight God we we just commit to you the ritual of prayer God we're going to bring them to the 21 days of prayer and God when that is over God we're going to establish the ritual of prayer and God I believe our children are not going to fight Spirits from hell because moms and dads are going to teach them how to pray they're going to teach them how to unlock and lock things that are not pleasing unto you and God I believe and matter of fact I'm going to go ahead and prophesy that our kids are going to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost at home I I know I know we we want them to receive the holy ghost at church and an altar with all their friends but what Greater Joy can a parent have for their kids to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues at the home if you receive that right now would you lift your voice and let's commit to prayer in our homes thank you Lord thank you Lord thank you thank you Lord
