Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
Think it not strange: glory on the other side of the trial
- His text: beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you.
- But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings, that when his glory shall be revealed ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
- He frames the whole evening from it: the trial is not here to destroy you; if you don't give in and don't quit, there's some exceeding joy on the other side.
Scriptures: 1 Peter 4:12-13
We're still here: the testimony of a surviving people
- He and his wife preached in Germany earlier this year and toured a concentration camp, where thousands upon thousands of Jewish men and women were put to death only for serving the one true God, and felt a heaviness like a weight pressing on the chest.
- He retells how a group of Jewish schoolchildren came out of that same tour still able to play, and how one child's two popsicle sticks left on the ground carried the words: we're still here.
- What Satan meant for evil, God meant for good: the Jewish people are still here because they are loved and chosen by God — and so are the spiritual Jews who have come through their own fiery trials.
A light affliction, but for a moment
- Paul's word steadies the scale: for which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day — for our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.
- The affliction Paul calls light included stripes, prisons, beatings, stoning, shipwreck, perils of waters and robbers and countrymen, weariness, hunger, thirst, cold and nakedness — if Paul can make it, you can make it.
- Being different, chosen, and separate from an unholy world is not an affliction; it is a reasonable service, the least we can do.
Scriptures: 2 Corinthians 4:16-17; 2 Corinthians 11:23-27
Suffering produces a glory revealed in us
- Peter, an elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, is also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed — suffering and glory are connected all through the epistles.
- If children, then heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together; the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
- The glory is not merely put in us on the other side: suffering produces a glory already in the believer that will be revealed when the trial is through.
Scriptures: 1 Peter 5:1; Romans 8:17-18
Grace is sufficient in the furnace
- The trial presses but it cannot crush: the three Hebrew boys lost only their bands in the furnace, and what the fire took from them was the reason they could not worship — the trial itself gave them a reason to shout, we're still here.
- And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness — at the lowest of lows, grace picks you up and says you're going to make it.
- His closing charge to fathers, mothers, and every saint in a fight: don't miss out on eternity over a moment; keep on fighting, keep on serving, and you are going to make it.

if you turn your Bibles with me to First Peter 4 and2 give our pastor and first lady honor tonight and our pastor he is uh recovering from a little bit of dental work dental surgery done I can't wait to he hear him preach the next time he's going to preach I cannot wait for that and uh help him Lord he's going to I look forward to that 1 Peter 4 and 12 beloved think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you as though some strange thing happened unto you but in the midst of a trial rejoice in as much as ye are partakers of Christ's suffering that when his glory shall be revealed ye may be glad also with exceeding Joy I know it starts with a little bit of suffering but I want to encourage someone tonight that there's some glory on the other side I know it's a little bit of hard times when you think it's a little strange you're going through the fire and you're going through the trial but if you just wait a moment there's going to be some glory on the other side there's going to be some glory on the other side and Pastor us praying before service tonight and a somewhat of a Spirit came over me and I hope it's a holy spirit but a few months ago I said we're going to rip the devil's lips off all right that's my exact words I feel a Victorious Spirit here tonight I feel like someone that you're going through a trial you're going through some sort of and you think it's strange tonight I want to tell you that if you go through the trial there's some exceeding Joy on the other side if you make it through if you don't give in if you don't quit there's some Joy on the other side amen so and I want to preach with the help of the Lord for just a few moments our choo choo train is waiting that's not what I'm preaching about but I'm going to preach this evening with the help of the Lord on we're still here we're it's on deep Revelation tonight we're still here is there anybody on the sound of my voice that if it not it had not been for the Lord tonight you would not be here if it had not been for the Lord when you were in the midst of your fiery trial would you lift your voice for just a few moments without the aid of any song could you lift your voice and let's warm up our faith tonight cuz I believe that God is going to do something in this house come on if it had not been for the Lord that was on your side you wouldn't be here man your family wouldn't be here come on we're still here we're made Overcomers by the blood of the lamb and the word of Our Testimony God is in this house tonight come on be encouraged you're around a bunch of people that if it had not been for the Lord they wouldn't be here either and you can make it if you keep on fighting and you keep on going exceeding Joy is on the other side you may be seated look to your neighbor and say I'm still here I'm still here look to that neighbor that I caught a mid squat there tell him hey you're I'm still here I'm still here I'm still here last year or rather last this earlier this year almost last year fler and I had the privilege of preaching uh to a wonderful group of people in Augsburg Germany and in mut Germany we were so excited for this trip when we began to pack our bags that the missionary brother Krauss uh called us and informed us on a few places that he would be taking us um while we were there to preach a youth conference and and be with the youth and have a great time with him uh there would be a few places that we would get to see for instance where Martin Luther would hide out while after nailing his thesis to the wall and uh against the Catholic church and all these great things that happened there we got to be in the same room where they believe that uh he hid out for his life and such a wonderful time there but one another place that he said that you have to go to is a place called dacal This is a site of an old concentration camp in Germany we did not know when we were going uh but all we knew is that we were going to go to this concentration camp um when we landed in munic uh we got our bags went through customs got our bags and put them in the car and immediately he said all right next stop is docal and I said no next stop is gas station I need a Red Bull okay we've been flying all right I um um so we did we stopped and we stopped at a um gas station got us some drinks and and our breath didn't smell my breath didn't smell good sister fl's breath always smells great but and I had to I had to get some refreshments and and then we turned off a highway the actually the autobond there where you can go ungodly fast and we might have done that that day um after we turned off that Highway we went to a old part of town that contained this place called doal I can't really describe to you the heaviness that you feel when you walk into the place where one of the the concentration camp where thousands upon thousands of Jewish men and women were put to death I cannot describe to you the moment that we walk through the gates and to think about these people that all that was wrong with them is that they serve the one true God and that they were Jewish nothing wrong with them but they serve God and God loved this special group of people I cannot describe to you walking through the gates the best way I can describe to you how it feels is if something is pressing on your chest the entire time it's like a a weight is on your chest and not to freak anyone out this evening I I really feel like I saw Satan himself I really believe I saw Satan and I'm not trying to scare anyone or put fear in anyone but there was a short film that we watched there as soon as you go into the gates of DACA and the pictures that I saw of men standing before beautiful Jewish men and women that's Satan if I've ever seen Satan himself I saw him through a film where this this German Soldier would point one way which meant they were fit enough to work and then if you would see them point the other direction that meant that that person had just a few hours to live if I've ever seen Satan it was through that film through this concentration camp and many more like it six million Jews were killed and one 1.5 million of them being children the first place we stopped I said as a as a short film and in this film it showed and and you notice that when you when you drive off the autobond too after the the gas station you drive into this older neighborhood and I got to thinking and faner and I were talking about how old the houses were and if the concentration camps happened however many years ago those houses had to have been there that's what we kept saying and and and what the film told us it says that those houses are the original oral homes that were around the con concentration camp they are not they are not uh they they are just as old as the Concentration Camp so who knows what those houses were a part of and to think when when the US came and we liberated that concentration camp one of the first things that that platoon did was take the the neighbor surrounding this concentration camp and took them through the halls of where bodies were still laying and in this video this this short film we watched they would take these families that and they were telling them that this was happening in your backyard if you knew it or not they would they were ly and just the disgust on their face when they would walk through rooms and there would be a a pile of bodies laying on and I can't even show you some pictures that that that from this concentration camp it would not be fitting for uh much less anyone to look at much less anyone to live through tonight then we walk through the housing that they had for these prisoners these Barracks were glorified dog houses just to contain the beautiful Jewish people to live in and I'm well aware that there were more people just the Jewish people that were at this concentration camp but the majority of them were Jewish people and you see the next picture they will show is a picture of what it looked like when these barracks were in use it started with one or two people per bed but then eventually the Concentration Camp became so overgrown that they would just pile bodies in there five and six men would be on one bunk and let alone we would not put our children in anything like these bunks and then the moment you think everything would be good they would be finally receiving a shower he he walked us down through probably 100 yards from the living quarters and there was the supposed shower Hall and what this shower Hall was when these Jewish people they finally are getting a chance to cleanse themselves because there's so much disease there's so much illness that is coming through being unsanitary finally we get to have be be cleansed once again in to their demise they would be led into a chamber where poisonous gas would be sprayed on them for them to die and I cannot describe to you great people walking through where men and women Jewish men and women and babies Drew their last breath I Can't Describe to you the the heaviness that you feel when you walk through there then a short distance from there is another room where they have ovens ready for The Cremation of bodies I can't even I Can't Describe to you the smell that's still in the floors I cannot describe to you the the smell that's still in those rooms as you walk through these horrific Halls a heaviness presides in these concentration camps and the reason I give you so so much uh details about this story and and what we what we saw when we when we went to this this concentration camp a story was told FL flaner and I from her grandfather and he told us about the same the same thing he felt when he walked through many years ago he went to a concentration camp and he walked through the halls and just like I described he felt almost like someone pressing upon his chest and he would tell us the same thing I did you did you go through the Halls where where the gas Chambers were and I I did did you go through where they stayed and I did and he said well and he he he's he's preached this I I heard him talk about this story and then he he told us some more details but he said when when sister dowy and I were done with this with this tour the Concentration Camp he said we're crying it's a solemn place it's a solemn Place have you ever been there's nobody talking above a whisper because it's a very solemn it's a very sacred Place many people have lost their lives there it's not a place that there's no joy even if when you take pictures at the coner conentration camp we asked do you even smile do do you even smile in this picture even you want to keep this for a memory as I was there but there's no smiling being done in that concentration camp this is where thousands of people lost their lives and and and brother dowy was telling us and as we we exit exited this uh concentration camp we were headed to the car where I noticed that a bus of kids these kids that were waiting waiting for their bus to get there they're absolutely borderline being disrespectful he said one of them's got their backpacks and they're tossing their backpacks and to each other one of them one of them's got a it's they're they're playing frisbee with this these arts and craft pieces that they've got and almost looks like Sunday morning after the Sunday School gets crafts and they're all just throwing them in the lobby he said that's exactly what it looked like he said they were taking these these sticks and throwing them just like frisbees he said how disrespectful for these kids to to go through what we just went through and now you're coming out here and acting so disrespectful he said but then I noticed once they were gone one of them left one he said I picked it up he said when I started to read it something by goggled my memory that those kids had the Jewish yamakas on their head right those kids had the Jewish yamakas on their head it was the symbol that every single one of them kids was Jewish and so as they went through all the concentration camp and saw what their ancestors went through they came outside and they brother Dy said there was one little stick laying on the ground said so I waited till they left so nobody would see me I went over there and I picked it up and the words on two popsicle sticks said we're still here we're I tell you that's a reason to celebrate right there what Satan meant for evil God meant it for good we're still here I know those Jewish babies had some grandfathers in grandmothers that were in that concentration camp but at the end of the day they're still here and they're always going to be here I've come to preach to the Jewish Nation tonight I don't care what Hamas throws their way they're always going to be here because they're loved by God and they're chosen by God they're always sister Fuller they're always going to be here because they're God's chosen children they're always going to be here they're always going to be here we're still here you may be seated and now I've come to preach to the spiritual Jews tonight I don't know what you've been through I don't know what fiery trials from Satan you've been going through tonight but I want to tell you with the gift of faith about to operate of this place tonight when you get through that trial and when you get through that test you're still going to be worshiping you're still going to be faithful I know you don't feel like it's going to work out right now now but you're going to still be here tonight I don't know what you're going through tonight but somebody needs to get outside of themsel and realize if it had not been for the Lord that was on my side we're going to make it you're going to make it don't give in don't give up we're still here we're still here we're still here we're still here we're still faithful we're still serving God we've got more than we've ever got we've got more worship than we've ever had before we're still here we're still here we're still here I don't know what fiery trial that you've been to I know you got to realize that you have more worship now than you did before the storm because you're still here you've made it through you've made it through you're still here I don't know if there's anybody under the sound of my voice tonight that you would get outside your Pew that hell's been fighting you hell has been tormenting you hell's been tor in your family and you'd come up and grab one of these two popsicle sticks and wave it in the air and say I'm still here I'm still here I'm still here come on how many of you fames you your father's been attacked by Satan you've been attacked by the spirit that says you don't worship that the fathers are not supposed to lead and worship I wonder if you can come up front and grab one of these sticks and wave in the air and say I'm still here I'm still here I know there was some Temptation in your life and you went through the Temptation and you could wave it up in the air and say I'm still here it's nothing that I would I did but somewhere in the midst of my trial I realize if I just kept on walking I realize if I just kept on going I realized if I just kept on remaining faithful I'm going to make it I'm going to make it I'm still here I don't know some of you are sick and body sister Thompson what are you doing here I'm still still here are you still here today I saw you this morning I saw you again tonight cancer is ridden her body but at the end of the day I'm still here I'm still here I'm still here come on there there is no excuse for us to be missing church with a woman with cancer is here worshiping God she's still here she's still here come on I think you ought to Rejoice for just a moment why we ought to Rejoice for just a moment come on I know it's a solemn place tonight I know it's a solemn place tonight but somebody's got to get outside of themselves with a little bit of Pride and come by The Altar and say I'm still here I don't know how I made it but I'm still here I don't know how I made it to church tonight but I'm still here I don't know how my relationship with God is still going but I'm still here I'm still here I'm still here I've come with a mission from God tonight to declare to someone that you are going to make it you are going to make it I've come with a mission that's as that's as that's as good as it gets tonight you are going to get through the fire you're going to get to the other side I don't know when it is but you're going to be here by the cross of Jesus Christ you're still going to be here you're still going to be here any any hatred any suffering that you face at all no it's not about you no it is not about you it is so much bigger than you Pastor Ericson mentioned this morning why why why does Hell fight the church is it because the people absolutely not why does Hell fight the Jewish people is it because of the people absolutely not it's because of the god that they serve Why does Satan hate the church well I tell you why it's because the truth the church has the truth of who Jesus Jesus Christ is that he is the son of the Living God and the Gates of Hell shall not Prevail against it when Satan is done torment your family you're still going to be here why because you serve a God who is greater than anything you can face you're still here you're still here it's so much bigger huh he hates the plan that's the truth he hates the plan he hates the I'll tell you why he hate you even more because Satan sin in eternity time and he cannot he cannot receive forgiveness like you can receive forgiveness you can act a fool for a season of time and come right back to church and lift your hands and and squabble and scream to God and ask for forgiveness and he'll forgive you and you'll be able to raise the cross and say I'm still here but Satan cannot receive that forgiveness he's so jealous of God's love towards you he's so jealous of God's mercies that are new every morning about you he hates you he hates you he hates you Paul we're still here at the end of the day you may be seated at the end of the day you're going to make it you're going to make it I don't know when it is Brother Bruce but you're going to make it sister Thompson I don't know when it's going to be it whether it be a healing that Jesus does and we all shout about it but one day a hundred years from now we're both going to be in heaven and we're going to be saying we're still here I know cancer rids your body but we're going to be there in the presence of God because we're still here you think it'd be a time to mourn it'd be a time of mourning of those children when they think about what happened to their grandfathers and grandmother years and years ago but the Jewish people always have one thing that they do very well sister Fuller and you gave me this last Wednesday night whether it be a hymon that wants to annihilate those Jewish people if it's a hymon that hates the those Jewish people the Jewish people always do one thing really well after Satan gets done messing with them and tempting them and attempting to destroy them they do something really well they find something to celebrate they find something to celebrate s sister Susanne Fuller told me it's Wednesday night she said around purum we do we it's a big Feast it's a celebration and what what purum is it celebrates when when H and tried to come in with a plan to destroy all the Jews and kill them all kill all just the hatred of those Jewish people what they do celebrating purum now and I'm talking about thousands of years ago too I'm talking about this this plan to attack the Jewish people annihilate them happened over of how many thousands of years ago but they're still celebrating that God delivered them over 2,000 years ago they're still celebrating it and some of us oh God help me Lord right now some of us when we go through something and we start praising our way out of a trial but you give it about a year or so and we lost our do we understand the point of that trial in the first place was to get us to worship the almighty God that might have been the purpose of a trial to get you to lift your voice and the purpose of a trial is to realize that you cannot do it without God if it wasn't for the Lord you you can make it if it wasn't for the Lord you would not make it through that trial so here's what the Jewish people do around purum Lord help well take these shoes and they write h a m a n hope that's a spell it they write the words of hmon on the bottom sister f am I telling the truth on the bottom of their shoe they get a little bit bit of this action because it's under their feet it's under their feet one thing that the Jewish people do really well is when Satan tries to destroy them when they make it through and they're still here they find a reason to celebrate and you might be wondering why in the world is a bunch of people here on a Sunday night worshiping the almighty God because Satan had plans for them to destroy him but they come tonight with a celebration that we made it that we're still here that we're still here that you made it through the trial that you made it through the test but you've come on a Sunday night to tell God and everybody else that I'm going to celebrate I'm going to celebrate because I know if God has done it for me watch he can do it for me again brother the Topson why you celebrating because Satan had plans for him but God delivered him that's why I celebrate that's why I Rejoice that's why I rejoice because if Satan had his good pleasure with me I would be lost to sin and shame but God through grace and mercy had a different plan had a different plan had a different plan for me I'm still standing because of the grace of God I'm still here because of the grace of God hallelujah you can sit there if you want to tonight and just say I know that's a cute sermon you're preaching with two popsicle sticks but you'll realize one day think it not not strange think it not strange when you walk through that fiery trial and you're going to find a reason to celebrate you're going to find a reason one day God if it had not been for you through that season when my children went when they were lost they they walked away from you if it had had not been for me turning to you I'm telling you if some father tonight would turn back to God I promise you your family's going to make it if a father tonight would have enough Faith inside of him to realize all I got to do is worship God all I got to do is give my life to God and everything's going to be all right you're going to make it look to your neighbor say you're going to make it you're going to make it I don't know what you're going through but you're going to make it now tap that neighbor on the shoulder that's stop paying attention say hey you I don't know if you know this but you're going to make it you're going to make it you're but a you're paying attention you're going to make it though you're going to make it you're going to make it Paul says 2 Corinthians 4:16 for which cause we faint not but through our outward man perish yet the inward man is renewed day by day listen this next verse for our light Affliction which is but for somebody say that again a moment but for a moment and I know when you get in that trial you think it's never going to end well I know when you get in that testing you feel like it's never going to end but in the grand scheme of things it's just for a moment I know a lot of people are going to miss out on eternity over a moment there's a lot of people that are going to be lost over a moment of Affliction but I'm telling you through the power of God tonight your trial cannot last forever your trial cannot last forever because there's going to be a moment if God brings me out of that trial that's fine but there's going to be a moment where I'm raptured out of this body and that this corrupt will her on incorrect I'm going to make it I'm going to make it I'm going to make it for a moment now let's see here Paul says Paul calls the Affliction and trials that he went through a light Affliction what a what Affliction would he go through that he would call light and I'll save you the readings of 2 Corinthians 11:23 through3 where he lists all his afflictions there were Stripes there were prisons they were beaten he was stoned he was Shipwrecked he was Perils of water W Waters he went through robbers and Perils of of his own countrymen and Perils of Gentiles and perils in the city and perils in the wilderness and perils in the sea and perils among false Brethren and weariness and Toil and sleep uh sleeplessness uh sleep sleeplessness often in hunger and thirst in fastings and in cold and in nakedness light Affliction dear Lord if anybody has the right to throw in the towel it's Paul so let's make sure tonight on this Sunday night to put our afflictions in the proper place in the proper grand scheme of things look different in a Godless world is not an Affliction being different being Chosen and being separate is not an Affliction Bible says it's a reasonable service being separate from an Unholy world is not an Affliction it's not an Affliction it's the least we can do it's not an Affliction not a burden it's the least we can do sometimes I really want wonder what conversations are going to be like in heaven so young man what's your Affliction on Earth well my name's Stephen I got into the church and began to preach Jesus that's good Stephen how'd that go for you I was really a brother I was a new convert and you know how new converts are they're just excited about they're excited about it they don't really know what they're excited about but they're excited about Jesus okay they're just jealous they want to tell everybody they can about Jesus the one who saved their soul I pray to God we never lose the fervor of a new convert I'll tell I told anyone I could about Jesus I told how he was he was that he he died he was rose again and uh and I told about all those things and some people took offense to it brother and they took me to court and they they gave me a change a chance to change what I was saying and so I did I started in the Old Testament and I preached everything I knew and then I ended up at Jesus and I preached Jesus crucified oh yeah buddy Stephen that's awesome how'd that end up yeah they stoned me they stoned me well what was your Affliction well during Co I couldn't come to church and after Co I still didn't go to church Jesus God help me Lord the Lord honory tonight so this is rhetorical dad I guess so is our Affliction that bad when you really begin to think about things is our Affliction bad or is it a light Affliction to put it in its proper place a proper perspective we got to understand that our Affliction is not so bad that our Affliction is something that we can still come to church and lift our hands and feel the presence of God that gives you strength to get through the Affliction so when I tell you that our Affliction is not I know it's hard I'm not I'm not discounting the fact that you are going through an absolute fight from hell but I promise you if Paul can make it you can make it I promise you if Paul can go through the Shipwreck and if Paul can go through being thrown into prison you can make it through your trial you can make it you can make it look to yourself again and say I'm going to make it I know my kids are not here with me but we're going to make it I don't come hell or high water we are going to make it we're going to make it your backslid son or daughter is not in this place your whole family is going to make it if you keep on fighting if you keep on going if you keep on serving you are going you're going to make it you're going to make it you're going to make it here's what happens with Affliction here's what happens with Affliction Paul got right through the light Affliction by realizing it's just for a moment it's just for a moment when you realize sister Thompson that your sickness is just for a moment when you're how does sister Gloria Franklin come around the altar a day before she's about to have the the funeral for her husband how does she come around here and start to worship how do you have a whole family lifting up their voices and crying and praising the God where their their grandfather just passed away two days ago here's how you make it because you realize in just a moment we're going to be with our loved ones in heaven in just a few moments if you keep on remaining faithful and you realize your trials just for a moment you realize it's not that bad because when I get to the other side there's not going to be any more trials there's not going to be any more heartaches because I made it through the moment of Affliction I made it through the moment another way another way Paul gets through the Affliction and suffering is to realize in 2 Corinthians 4 And1 17 that it's just for a moment but it worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of Glory a far more exceeding and eternal weight of Glory Paul pulls out the scales here Mom Paul pulls out the scales and he says however much you think your Affliction is weighing you down however much you feel that Affliction is on your back just for a moment there's a glory in heaven that is far more exceeding than that Affliction that you're facing right now there is a there is a however how much you feel that heaviness however much you feel that Affliction that trial that you're going who is weighing you down Paul says to us tonight that there is a far more exceeding weight of eternal glory a glory that is not temporal a glory that just doesn't go away with just a few moments of time but if you can endure the moment of suffering you will receive a far more exceeding weight of glory on the other side if you continue to fight and you continue to to remain faithful however bad you think your trial is and however however much you think your fiery furnace is you've got to realize on the other side there is a weight of eternal glory waiting for you however hard you think it is down here up there it's much better because however much hell fights with you down here up there it's going to be worth it all up there it's going to be worth it all Paul pulls out the scales he says however much you're facing down here a far more exceeding weight of Glory is going to be up here this Glory doesn't go and come this Glory doesn't go and and with a season of time Fade Away however much Affliction through this trial that you are facing on the other side I want to encourage someone tonight whatever you're facing tonight there's something greater waiting for you on the other side there's something greater waiting for you on the other side why are you serving God through the trial because I got Glory waiting on me why are you Faithful when whenever when everything is is falling apart because I've got Glory waiting on the other side you've got to be saved you've got to be you're missing the best part if you're not saved because every trial that you ever went through brother and sister Akens on the other side the glory is waiting on you to say you made it through the trial now here's your glory you made it through the test now here's your glory you've got to make it you've got to make it the glory is waiting the trial might feel pressing but one thing the trial cannot do is it cannot Crush you it cannot Crush you our opening scripture the fiery trial which is to try you it's not to destroy you it's not it's it's going to press you that would be a lie if it's didn't if it didn't if we said it didn't press you but it's not going to crush you don't think you're odd or living in sin for when the fiery Trials come your way because you're going to make it you're going to make it you're going to make it there's a strong connection in scripture I read a few of them that connect suffering and Glory there's a lot of scriptures in the New Testament especially the Epistles because they were they were facing suffering and affliction like never before and Paul and a few other writers deemed it necessary to write about the glory that you get when you go through trials 1 Peter 5 And1 the elders this is not this is not necessarily a position in the church but this is more of a mature Christian that the elders which are among you I exhort who am also a and am an elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ and also a partaker of the glory that should be revealed that shall be revealed so we got a question for us tonight I know the glory is that we're going to see is when we see Jesus face to face we will see the glory of God that is true I can't wait for that but is there anywhere else that we're going to see the glory revealed we're going to look on the face of Jesus Christ and see the glory absolutely Romans 18 8 And1 17 tells us and if children then heirs heirs of God and join HS with Christ if so be that we suffer with him that we may also be glorify together I like how Paul hears from East Tennessee for I reckon what the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in uh where is it going to be revealed at in us if you may there's going to be a glory that's revealed in you on the other side there's going to be a glory now notice God does not that the scripture doesn't say that God's going to put a glory in you on the other side but the Bible says that it's going to be revealed in us which tells me when we suffer when we go through the fiery trials from hell it produces a glory that we cannot see right now it produces a glory that we'll see on the other side it doesn't say that I'm going to put it in you on the other side but it says I'm going to reveal it to you that it's already in you because Paul also says that if you see things if you can focus on what you see and that's the suffering but there's something that you don't see that happens it it's Eternal and that's the glory that's inside of you so all the while while you're fighting hell and you're wondering is this walk with God worth it I thought I was coming to the apostolic church and I would just live in Liberty the rest of my life well whoever told you that is not telling the truth because think it not strange when you go through the fiery trials from hell but I want to encourage someone tonight I feel the Lord's about to move in this house that if you'll go through with the trial and you'll keep on serving and you'll keep on remaining faithful you may not see it to the other side but there's going to be a glory that's revealed in you and you're going to get to the other side and you're going to say I'm so thankful I didn't quit I'm so thankful I didn't give up I'm so thankful it stopped going to church when it got hard because the suffering produced The Glory The Suffering The Affliction produce the glory don't miss out on your glory because if you just get through the trial sister Marcy if you can get through the Affliction there's a glory waiting on the other side there's a glory there's a glory I don't know why you're going through what you're going through it's not because you've sinned it's not because you're not in the will of God but God is producing some glory in you you are suffering with Christ is producing Glory but I'd be a crying fool to tell you and preach about the suffering of God and suffering of Jesus Christ without telling you that there is a day that there's going to be a resurrection there's a day when you're coming out of the trial there's a day if we're going to preach the suffering of Jesus Christ a lot of us like to stay in the suffering because you get to cry and nothing really it's just me pitiful me but when I come out of this I'm coming through a resurrection when I come out I'm coming out of this because it's just for a moment I'm coming out of this because I'm going to make it I wish you'd stand to your feet right now and tell yourself I'm going to make it I'm going to make it if you believe that would you lift your voice all across this house I'm going to make it I'm going to make it because when I am weak he is strong when I am at my weakest point and I feel like giving up that's the moment that I'm the at the strongest because the glory the glory the glory I'm going to make it Mom I'm going to make it Dad I'm going to make it I know it's hard I'm going to make it FL we're going to make it baby doll I don't care what hell throws our way baby we're going to make it I don't come hell or high water I don't care if this Baby's healthy or if it's not healthy we're going to make it I know every question goes through your mind as new parents is my kid going to be this is my kid going to be is if it's whatever and God gives us a beautiful child we're going to make it we're going to make it or maybe your baby's not here and it's back sliding if you kept on remaining faithful you're going to make it you're going to make it you're going to make it you're going to make it sister Perry you're going to make it that's that's as deep as it gets tonight brother Perry I'm sorry this is not a I wouldn't give $5 for this sermon but I've come to tell someone tonight you're going to make it you're going it's just for a moment don't miss out on eternity over a moment sister Smith you're going to make it you're going to make it you're going to make it I don't know if anybody would get outside your seat right now and you step up to the front just maybe take your cross in the hand and say I'm going to make it I don't know how but I'm still standing I don't know how but I'm keep on rejoicing because I'm going to make it I'm going to make it I'm going to make it I don't care what comes my way I'm going to make it I'm going to make it then my weakness he is made strong when my my spirit is weak then when my flesh is weak my spirit cries out I'm going to make it I'm going to make it maybe grab somebody by the hand tonight and say we're going to make it together we're going to make it together we're going to make it don't care what Trials come your way we're going to make it tell we're going to make it we're going to make it come on it's not about you it's about the God you serve you're going to make it don't think you're so special that hell just fighting you it's because your relationship with God don't think it's strange you ought to think it's strange if hell's not fighting you because hell fights what he fears he fights somebody who's living for God he's scared of a family that is faithful to God oh yes we're going to sing in just a moment we're going to sing in just a moment one last point I feel like we're going to rejoice in this house tonight got to understand what the the fiery furnace did to you Jesus was praying and he said let this cup pass from me and want to go through the suffering that was his flesh speaking out that I I don't want to go through the suffer who wants to go through the suffering nobody in their right mind okay nobody in their right mind Jesus says not my will but thy will th Garden of Gethsemane means a pressing place a pressing place so we understand and we realize and we see the glory revealed through the suffering that Resurrection we see Jesus in a glorified body but tonight we recognize what the furnace and the trial did to us if you want to say God deliver me out of the trial I think you're missing what God did to you during the trial those little three he Hebrew boys were bound and they were heading up into the fire they were bound and they were heading up because they did not bow to the image of the King had set up but the Bible says that they pushed him before they pushed him over I like how it puts it that the guards that were pushing him fell over dead that didn't tell those three hubber boys say we're still here we're still here I know we're not in the worst of it but we're still here we're still here what killed a lot of other people has not killed us yet because we're still here if I had people outside the church if they face half the Affliction and the trial that you fa they wouldn't have made it but still here so they get into the furnace I know this a Kids Quest coming out to me and push them on over I've heard pastors say this why would he look why would you look many commentaries say it's because they heard some rejoicing down in that furnace they said did we not cast three in the fire and I like how did we not cast let me find this scripture did we not cast three in Bound into the midst of the fiery furnace and he answered and said lo I see four men loose walking in the midst of the fire the thing they lost in the middle of the fiery furnace is the reason they couldn't worship the reason they could lift their hands and worship the only thing that the trial did was give them a reason to shout would give them a reason to celebrate all their bands fall off to say we're still here I don't know how but we made it I don't know how but we made it we're still here tell yourself tonight I'm still here come on I'm still standing come on realize that the tri made you a worshiper realize the tri gave you an opportunity to worship I'm still standing he by the grace of God oh oh that brings me to another Point Grace Grace what is Grace in a trial Lord God I had to look back at my scriptures what is Grace in the midst of a trial Do For Me 2 Corinthians 12:9 and he said unto me my grace is sufficient for thee and notice when it's sufficient for my strength is made perfect in weakness most gladly will I rather glorify in my infirmities that the power of Christ May rest upon me which means when I get to my lowest of lows and I feel like I can't make it Grace picks me up it says you're going to make it Grace says you're going to make it come on can we lift our hands roll across this house and sing the song tonight because you're going to make it you're going to make it you're still standing by the grace of God you're going to make it but by the grace of God but by the grace of God I'm still standing I'm still standing I'm still standing the gra of God the grace of God yeah I'm still standing still standing I'm still standing by your grace your gra by the gra of God I'm still I'm still stand I'm still standing I'm still standing the of God the grace of God see I'm still standing thank you Lord I'm still stand yeah I'm still stand the prise but by the graise of God I'm still Shou I'm shouting I'm still everything that Happ I'm still but by the gra I'm still staring shouting again I'm still shouting I'm still here I'm still shouting by the grace of God by the gra of God I'm still singing I'm still singing I'm singing I'm sh I'm still singing I'm singing I'm Shine I'm still singing but by his graceous grace by the grace of God standing if you would for a moment if you would for a moment would you lift your hands across this place and would you close your eyes and would you think through what was just preached to you because there's some of you standing in this place tonight if you'll get what was just preached to you you can walk out of here totally different than you walked in for these light afflictions are but for a moment if you could get the revelation of that in that that situation that you just can't seem to get past come on let the presence and the glory and the glory of the almighty God the glory of the almighty God rest upon you right now there's a demonstration of God's glory that wants to happen right now come on without any music without any Aid of a beat there is a demonstration come on young person you need to get what God's got for you tonight you say well I'm going through this God just wants to use you for his glory come on do you want to be do you want to be a demonstration of the glory of God come on that's it some of you are getting it some of you are getting it right now come on you don't have to keep going through it your eyes will open up and you might be in the same fire but all of a sudden there'll be a rejoicing that'll come out of your mouth I want to see it the way God sees it in the name of Jesus right now Glory Glory Glory Glory Glory Glory Glory Glory Glory Glory Glory Glory Glory Glory Glory GL Glory Glory Glory Glory oh I L you Jesus God we need you in this place would you oh mighty God Mighty God I oh God you're so good to us
