Indiana let's give our praise to Jesus Christ he alone is worthy hallelujah hallelujah oh how we love you Jesus well I think it'll be all right to praise him it'll be all right to praise Him hallelujah hallelujah how many believe he's still the King of Kings is he still the Lord of lords how many believe nothing is impossible clap your hands one more time unto Jesus hallelujah thank you Lord thank you Lord thank you Lord amen amen God bless you thank you brother chance you may be seated and thank all of you for being here I want to thank the Mangin for sponsoring this great meeting what an inspiration it is to all of us to all the speakers I would I dare not try to relive in the few seconds I have here all the wonderful sermons but I can tell you that they have impacted my life and my heart sir and I give honor to all the saints of God to all the ministers to the Mangin to our district superintendent God bless you brother Tenny thank you to all of our officials brother Kilgore brother Libby to all the men of God it's a pleasure to be in this church am I'm glad to be part of the family of Jesus Christ we're a strange bunch of people but you know prise God we love one another don't we turn with me for a little while in the word of the Lord and I'll try to be as brief as possible tonight in Leviticus chapter number six and I want to take this old text tonight and just talk to you a little bit about something that's on my heart how blessed we are to have meetings like this around the country amen they don't just happen you know people putting so much of their lives and finances into meetings like this and this great church my what an inspiration this church is to us around the fellowship around the world and you only have to come here one time to recognize this wonderful hospitality and great attitude of this congregation which is obviously reflective of their leadership give them a great big hand will you do that wonderful thank you Pentecostals of Alex Andria now look at this ancient text here Leviticus 6 and verse number 11 and he shall put off his garments talking about the priest and put on other garments and carry forth the ashes without the camp into a clean Place everybody say a clean place clean place and the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it it shall not be put out and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning and lay the burnt offering in order upon it and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offerings the fire verse 13 shall never shall ever be burning upon the altar it shall never go out let's just pray a little prayer the Lord will anoint his word tonight and help us Jesus in your name cover us with your blood watch over us tonight help us that your word might live within our hearts and our understanding thank you Jesus thank you Jesus thank you Jesus it's so good to know you Lord we thank you for the wonderful Fellowship we have in this Spirit hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah praise the Lord amen poke the person beside you and say Put Another Log on the Fire Another Log you may be seated oh that's what I say to my wife a lot when we're sitting around the house get up lady Put Another Log on the Fire let's keep this romantic moment going and maybe it's what we ought to be saying to one another you know there's so many things we can say to one another and our words do carry impact you know amen as a matter of fact I'd like to suggest that right now in our lives and perhaps in our movement there's a great struggle going on as to first of all who

is going to speak come on and secondly who are we going to listen to and it's very important who speaks what they say and very important how you listen and obviously it's important what we believe so I'd like to suggest for us in these times a little philosophy I'd like for us to just say to one another let's Put Another Log on the Fire because what God has given us and what we have in the Lord is so precious and so valuable let's keep revival going let's keep the flame burning but we can peek in if we Dare for a moment here in Leviticus chapter 6 and we see a certain struggle that takes place with regard to fires and keeping fires burning because when you build a fire particularly if it's a sacred fire the principles of fire burning and fire maintenance are still in order in other words it doesn't matter whether it's just an ordinary fire or a sacred fire a holy fire there's certain things you have to do to keep that fire burning amen so the priests were struggling and I I'll just abbreviate this whole situation here but suffice it to say that the priests were struggling with what to do in maintaining this special holy sacrificial fire how do we keep this thing burning and one of the rules that God gives them is very interesting the Lord says now to keep this fire burning you have to do what everybody must do to maintain a fire you must at some point empty the ashes it doesn't matter how hot the fire was yesterday or how sacred the fire was yesterday you've got to take out the ashes sometime if you're going to keep the fire going today so you know what I'm going to preach tonight I just want to reiterate something we already know on we want to keep the fire now look I'm I'm for Supernatural stuff yes sir I've been filled with the Holy Ghost is there anybody here that's been filled with the Holy Ghost I'm a supernatural person I believe in the power of Jesus Christ I'd like to go on record tonight and just say it again I believe that through the power of Jesus Christ all things are possible is there anybody here that believes in the holy ghost power Supernatural power of Jesus Christ I I I just I could never go back to being a non Holy Ghost person the the the church at Calvary made a real mistake this year terrible mistake they they the the church card that they out this year is a turbocharged engine now folks I have not driven a car this fast since 1966 and some of you young guys have no idea how fast one of those o mobiles was with eight cylinders and 400 Cub I mean you change tires every two weeks and I know that's hard to believe but these things were fast now here I am in this tur go Buick and folks I can hardly hold that thing down I I'm trying to maintain my my my dignity here and I'm trying to stay out of jail as well but Paul did say to Timothy come with all speed so I I need to maybe put that on my dashboard and I'm just driving this thing and I barely touch the accelerator and it just takes off I mean you can be doing 65 and you just touch the accelerator and you're doing 90 95 and and and you're you're trying to hold yourself back you're saying please don't drive this fast but you know if I I figure if God made these cars he must have wanted somebody to drive them and I said to Sister Mickey the other day I said you know I don't think I can go back to an ordinary car after having driven one of these supercharged turbo things yeah now that's the way I am about the Holy Ghost if you have ever been in one Holy Ghost meeting if you've ever seen the Lord move one time if you've ever experienced the glory of the power and presence of God in your soul you can never be the same again come on apostolics it's time to stop apologizing for being filled with the Holy Ghost it's time to stop apologizing for

being Spirit baptized Believers in the Supernatural power of Jesus Christ somebody clap your hands and help me preach just a little bit hallelujah how many want a Holy Ghost Church in these last days how many want an anointed Church in these last days we need to pray let the choir be anointed let the preachers be anointed let the ushers be anointed let everything that's done in the church be anointed of the Holy Ghost poke the person beside you and say Put Another Log on the Fire somebody say let's have a brand new Holy Ghost Revival now hit them real hard and say Put Another Log on the Fire I wish we had some Believers in the house Hallelujah I believe the Lord wants us to drive a turbo car in the last days a holy ghost anointed church do you believe God can still give songs to the singers and sermons to the preachers and Power in the Pew I happen to believe God is still able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ask or think hallelujah hallelujah clap your hands to the Lord you know it's all right it's all right take your time Love the Lord that's what we're here for Hallelujah you know here's the thing about that turbo car I don't even know how it works I don't either work I don't even know how it works somebody said there's a little mechanism in there that shoots gas over theel I don't know how the thing works I just drive the thing thing I I I just wonder if the church wouldn't make a mistake spending too much time trying to explain how the Holy Ghost Works what difference you know sometimes we're so worried about this intellectualizing of the church maybe the Lord wants us to just have a church we can't explain I'm I'm kind of hungry to see a Revival where somebody would have to say I don't know how it happened I can't explain it I just went to a meeting one night and the Holy Ghost fell and the Sinners came to the not by might not by power but by my spirit sayith the Lord hallelujah somebody shout hallelujah well you know it's it's it's wonderful what can happen through the power of the Holy Ghost now really I have to tell you there's times I I wake up and I wish I could explain it yeah you know because I'd like to impress people by being and I even try to explain it sometimes which is a disaster amen but maybe it's better we just say well I don't know exactly how all this works but I do know that if you obey the word of God and you live for the Lord and you trust in him that through the arm of his power and might all things are possible I saw the cutest little thing somewhere we have and you may have seen this if you haven't you need to see it somewhere we have a little Apostolic boy that works for a security company somewhere and it's one of those places it's a central place where they monitor little stores and you know they they have these security cameras set up and they monitor these little stores and this particular central place monitors about seven or eight stores as I understand and one day this little Apostolic boy was he may be here tonight he was monitoring this store and there was a man that came in with a gun and stuck it in the face of the clerk and said give me your money and when the clerk saw that gun she went oh hallelujah hallelujah glory to God hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah and she just started shaking and say hallelujah hallelujah and then she started just jumping and dancing Hallelujah glory to God hallelujah hallelujah and the man said shut up shut up give me your money and she goes Hallelujah Oh Glory Hallelujah and started speaking in tongues God what a mighty God we serve now now then after she had spoken in tongues a little while she waxed bold there some something about the Holy Ghost you know I wish I had this video we just shut the sermon down and look at this

thing because it just tells everything I'm trying to say tonight and this little lady after she had spoken in tongues for a while she looked the robber right in the eye and she said you come around here and open this door yourself and he said shut up lady give me the money she said you come get it if you want it and he said I'm going to blow your brains out she goes oh Hallelujah glory to God Hallelujah and this this little Apostolic guy he's looking at said what's going on man look at this and this lady just speaking in tongues and finally the robber can't stand it anymore he said shut up and she says hallelujah and praise the Lord and pretty soon he just puts that gun down in his belt and dashes out of the store what a mighty God we serve now that's the kind of church I want to be in come on we need to get past our inhibitions and let the Holy Ghost use us somebody say Put Another Log on the Fire let's make this church more Apostolic than it's ever been before let's make it more Spirit directed than it's ever been before somebody needs to turn your life over to Jesus Christ but you can't have listen to this you can't have a fresh fire unless you're prepared to get rid of the old ashes and this is the struggle you see because sometimes we talk New Vision brother Mangan but we are so unprepared to dump out you know we we like being historical and we get so hystorical we're hysterical sometimes one thing I've learned about history it's never the way people tell it cuz it's so embellished I have no idea what it's like but I do know that I'm living in a world that needs a fresh touch of the Holy Spirit I'm kind of like the apostles in Acts chapter 4 I am convinced that we need to be a supernatural church and we need to pray for Holy Ghost boldness we need to pray for signs and wonders to be done in the name of that holy Child Jesus are there any Resurrection people here let me tell you a long time ago a long time ago got it settled in my mind I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again and after you nail down your belief in the resurrection everything else is downhill from there because if they put him in the Tomb and he came out alive then that same God has given you the resurrection power to be more than a conqueror to be more than a champion in these times you know our problem we're just like old ancient Israel we limit the holy God of Israel somebody say Put Another Log on the Fire Put Another Log on the Fire brother Mangan don't stop building fires just keep putting logs on and when we're finished with this meeting let's take the ashes out it's interesting how fast this goes it's like eating you know that's fat guys can relate to this as soon as we eat one meal we're looking for the next one and that's scriptural because of the Bible said all the fat is the large and I don't know where you skinny folks end up add in that deal but that's the way we Apostolic should be we should say because of the times was great this year camp meeting was great this year but let's empty the ashes and build another fire build another camp meeting start another bus route put another class on bring in some more people develop another Ministry keep on going Put Another Log on the Fire somebody comes along and says wait a minute you can't do that because it was so sacred yesterday's fire was so sacred well it's sacred but the ashes of an old fire will choke out the fire of today my job when I came home tonight on that little or every night on that little Indiana Farm was to take out the ashes that was my job I didn't like it of course not they weren't even sacred ashes I didn't like it two main jobs for me when I was on the farm it's reason I don't like the farm take out ashes and clean out the chicken coop there was ashes in the stove and if you don't know what was in the chicken coop you don't need to be here anybody know what I'm talking about I don't know how the Holy Ghost works but I do believe that the devil can stick a gun in your face and if you've got enough boldness in the Holy Ghost we can turn back the tide of unbelief opposition humanism pluralism new ages immorality unrighteousness ungodliness fear doubt worry unbelief all of it can pass away in the name of Jesus

Christ come on some of you folks need to say I'm tired of driving an old worn out Ford in Volkswagen give me a turbo Put Another Log on the Fire give me a fresh anointing pour out your spirit on me did you know the Bible said he ought to be in us a well of water springing up under everlasting life how many believe he's still alive why you don't think it's an accident that we've come to this time we belong to the Lord we're his people we've been called by his name you're not just some little pimple for this Human family to squash you're a jewel of Jesus You Belong To The King of Kings he has brought you to the kingdom for such a time as this slug the person beside you and say come on Put another log on on the fire add 15 minutes to the prayer meeting add another bus to the bus route come on add another meeting to my schedule give me another place to preach go in the next city and start another church you can Pastor too at the same time somebody shout hallelujah hallelujah I feel just totally wacko tonight oh my you know let me just let me just get you to focus in the next few minutes on a couple things that seem to me that we have to fight on first of all now now remember for me you you can find your own place in this because I'm preaching off the editorial page tonight anyway so if you're looking for the sports section I'm not it this is the editorial page so you can write your own editorial page but for me the ministry's got to be Supernatural for me it's got to be somehow anointed of the Holy Spirit I'm I'm not making any particular specific demands on what God must do with me I just want the Lord to use me that's the objective to use it and that can be anything because some some folks concept of being used of the Lord is some grandiose thing some great thing but the idea's got to be stronger than that it's anything Lord wherever you would have me to go whatever you would have me to do but one of the things the devil is throwing at at us I think at the church at this time is confusing the objective now this is not hard to understand listen to me if you don't understand why you're coming to church and what the objectives are how can you possibly function or perform within the will of God on the the gal that works for us her little her little boy was over to our house back some time ago and we were all sitting around the kitchen table and this little boy was in the his name was [name redacted] and [name redacted] was in the other room playing with one of those little Nerf basketballs little round Spong rubber thing and he was playing basketball he had no goal he just had this little Nerf ball and he was broadcasting his own game and he it was going something like this and there's 5 seconds left on the clock and [name redacted] got the ball and [name redacted] dribbling and he was dribbling across the living room and [name redacted] is dribbling down the court 5 Seconds 4 three and [name redacted] shoot yes three and the crowd he was even making the crowd noises yay yay and then he had set up another scenario sometimes he'd be at the free throw line [name redacted] [name redacted] at the free throw line the score is tied one second left on the clock [name redacted] dribbles the ball looks up at the goal dribbles the ball shoots or sometimes he'd miss one you know just to make it fair so I'm watching this the conversation at the kitchen table is rather on the boring side so I'm watching this and I thought well [name redacted] poor [name redacted] doesn't have a goal so I went in the bed room and I brought it out it was one of those little Waste Paper basket gold you know that set on the waist paper basket and it was part of the set and so I handed it to him and I said [name redacted] here's the goal you set this up on the waist basket and you have a goal so I shot a few played a little game of horse with him and so on went back in the kitchen and [name redacted] has it's grown strangely quiet now he's in there shooting this little Nerf ball but he's not hitting anymore the the crowd is grown silent it's a lot of different folks when you got a goal you got a

now I got to think I know church people like that yes sir I know people like that they come to church they get big old Goose pimples they shout they slap around on one another but they don't know what it's all about it's not just coming to because of the times and having a good time it's understanding what the will of God is knowing what God would have us to do getting the objectives in our minds understanding that that we're a supernatural Church we've been bought by his blood filled with his spirit and we're not ashamed to testify I may not be able to explain it but I know that sometimes it's like fire shut up in my bones I can't analyze it for you but I know that sometimes I feel the magnet of God's glory on my mortal Soul thank you Jesus if you love him say thank you Jesus thank you Jesus get your little handker out and just wave it to the Lord and say thank you Jesus somebody said what's all that handkerchief waving about I don't know I just like to do it we are crazy church folks filled with a holy ghost baptized in his name slap the person beside you and say Put Another Log on this Holy Ghost Fire go ahead and clap your hands to the Lord somebody say yes somebody say yes oh I like a church that's not content of course I got to tell you you got to be willing to take out those old lashes you know why some folks smoke so much and I'm not talking about camels and Mar bars I'm talking about their whole life is Smoky you can't always stand to be around them they burn your eyes they haven't taking out all the old ashes bitterness and jealousy we all have hurts and pains and sorrows and difficulties but every once in a while you just got to go up and say I got to take out all this old stuff get rid of all the old ashes hey can I have the camera please thank you I got pictures of everything we ever did in our lives I got pictures of me preaching in Mississippi I get them out there I am Mississippi there I am in Kentucky there I am in Africa there I am in modok pig Waller Tennessee there I am Crusade my first crusade there I am and my Second Crusade there's my first flop my second flop my third flop got pictures of all that stuff good stuff bad stuff get the slide projector folks you come to my house I can put a slideshow on that will last for 2 or 3 weeks you'll be begging for somebody to send out for pizzas just to give you strength to make it another hour down the hill but you cannot yeah we got I got pictures of me and old baker tubing down snow hills those were good days good days ain't no way I'm going to ever do that again my Lord I got a picture of brother Baker flipping over there just flipping over in there that was good and it was good but if you tried that again you break your stupid back you know what you got to do ah it's all right to get the pictures out the ashes are holy yesterday was a good day the Lord said don't destroy the ashes put them in a clean Place put them in a sacred place you know get them in a box file them in a cabinet but don't try to live back there you've got to you've got to wake up folks and realize this is 1993 you've got to go home with a fresh Vision you've got to get a new concept of what God wants you to do somebody say Put Another Log on the Fire somebody say take out the old ashes somebody say get rid of the old thinking somebody say get rid of the old fear somebody say get rid of the old doubt somebody say dream a new dream sing a new song preach a new sermon have a new Revival clap your hands to the Lord hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah well see you got to know what the objectives are the objective if I can say this is to live in the spirit walk in the spirit to be in the spirit to be Supernatural without having to worry so much about explaining it to other people you know why some people miss the mark they think they have to explain Pentecostalism to Presbyterians no all due respect I have some a good Presbyterian friends he don't understand this and I'm sorry I I want him to I'm trying to help him to understand but this is not easy sometimes to convey to

other people oh taste and see you got to just kind of taste this for yourself know what the objectives are take it a step further our objective is not fame and fortune or Earthly popularity our whole idea of working for God is not so that we can get the approval of men as a matter of fact if we're the kind of people and Prophets that God wants us to be it's unlikely that the world will love us Jesus warned us you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake am I in the book tonight someone said the secret of success is sincerity and when you learn to fake that you got it made and sometimes we get so embroiled in pleasing people and being like people want us to be that we begin to develop certain Aura of sincerity that isn't really real we look at people and yet we look through people we're with people and yet we're not with them we say things we don't really mean and so the objective has got to be clear and we got you know style isn't isn't so important no sir good looks and I see sometimes young people are so interested in being cool you know but cool you just how cool can you be and what is cool anyway cool changes cool changes you guys just don't realize how much you look like the guys in the 50s it's so funny to watch them think they're so cool we've been there before there is nothing new come on you're not so hot you're not so cool unless the Holy Ghost is flowing through your blood unless you've got a fresh Touch of God on your soul looking good is not what matters style doesn't matter but being real on the inside of your soul is what matters clap your hands one more time hallelujah oh yes secondly let me propose to you not only do we fight confused objectives but we also must understand that in these times the public skepticism that we face is real and vicious amen amen what people are saying about preachers today is not nice as a matter of fact this is becoming a very dangerous profession certainly psychological because you don't get much lift anymore from being a preacher and there is a horrible vacuum developing in our country in which values and ideas and even principles are being redefined and some of the people that are writing the new dictionaries are not spiritual people that's why we apostolics have a great fight in front of us not to let the meaning of the scripture be changed by people who are calling sanctification something other than biblical sanctification people use terms like New Covenant but they don't mean what this Bible means when it talks about Covenants people use words like justification and sanctification and so on but they have new definitions for those words remember one of the things that the prophet Isaiah warned us about was people that would change definitions that would call good evil and evil good we're at the place in our movement unfortunately where the definition for righteousness and Holiness is being so perverted that many people are confused they really don't know whatever it is they don't know what it is yeah and and this is a tremendous Demand on us to make sure that we're back into that book and we place the Bible as the great empirical word the great Authority I I I've been telling the students lat lately at Indiana Bible College expository preaching is almost being imposed upon us today so that we can help people to see that what we're saying is not just something that we're making up but we're articulating these wonderful truths of God we're under attack today I'd like to spend more time with that but let me move thirdly to the great thing and here here to me is is is another one of these great struggles that all of us have I should personalize this but I I'll broaden it I I'll run a risk here many of us struggle with confronting the issues or the truths of Our Lives you go one of the this is an opinion page now remember I'm on the editorial page and and I'm not sure we're any good to one another until we can really start being honest with one another and confronting the truths in our lives first of all we've

got to confront the fact that there is a growing gap between what we preach and what we really believe in the Pew if this Gap gets any wider it's not good enough to be saying things here that are not acted out in our daily lives and we can come to church and we can amen certain principles and ideas and Concepts but just simply preaching truth is not the same as living out truth and we've got to close that Gap in the Pentecostal movement if we say we're Apostolic we've got to be Apostolic if we say we're Holiness people we've got to be Holiness people because the world will not tolerate listen to me the world will not tolerate you coming to church and claiming to be a Christian and then not living out your Christianity in everyday life if you're holy you got to talk holy and live holy and think holy and be holy from the top of your head to the soul of your feet and it's more than just not going to Disneyland it's an issue in your heart in your soul and in your mind clap your hands to the Lord say to somebody Put Another Log on the Fire put Log on the Fire say take out the old ashes take out the old ashes say clean out the chicken no never mind don't say that aren we crazy people oh we're not near as crazy as a world brother maror where are you at is brother Mar here tonight I hope he is anyway did you see we were in a restaurant the other day where you're at wave at me that doesn't matter he's huh thank you brother Marl God bless you we were in a restaurant the other day and there was this guy I think brother Marlo noticed him first he had a manigan a starf foam mannequin head tied around his neck with a chain through it and he great big one and it was of course a female mannequin head and he went and got a hamburger and Coke and he sat down and he put that mannequin head in front of him and started talking to it and we couldn't tell exactly what he was saying but it kind of looked like he was going I love you baby now folks that ain't good enough for me the first time I kissed Mickey I did away with mannequins after that I want the real thing now look this world is crazy and gets Crazier by the moment but we Pentecostals cannot afford to come to church and not know what the issues are and not know what the real thing is and not understand the power that lives within us and not understand who we are and what this is all about or we'll get as whacko as this world but if you keep your eyes on Jesus if you keep your faith in the blood if you believe in the power of the Resurrection all things are possible Put Another Log on the Fire Let's have Revival take out the old ashes get rid of all the doubt get rid of all the old stuff how many want to be a new man in Christ Jesus let all the old things pass away and All Things become new aren't you tired of Pious popcorn if we got some fears let's let's put the fear fears out there if we got some worldliness let's talk about it if we got some doubt some fears whatever it is let's talk about it all right let's not pretend we don't know who Donald Duck is for heaven's sakes I get so tired of that if I had a choice between a spending 3 weeks in the desert with a rank raw sinner that knew he was a sinner and a Pious Christian I'd take the sinner any day cuz I hate to be in the desert with some Pious person that's trying to pretend that they're not living in the real world and that you know it's this kind of joyology I get I get upset when my tires go flat I don't like it when things don't turn out right I I I have a tendency to stomp on my Turbo when the light is red and not going to Green fast enough I don't know about you but I'm Flesh and Blood I live in a real world I'm tempted I struggle with things I hurt I bleed but I still believe I've got a god that is

able come on apostolics Put Another Log on the Fire you every morning now my dad he's gone now so I say this all due respect long after folks should have had modern conveniences my dad insisted that my mother baked biscuits every morning on an old wood cooking stove had a gas range over in the corner we had washer we had everything but right in the middle of the kitchen was an old wood burning cooked stove my mother hated it every morning I was embarrassed if people came to visit us I did not take them through the kitchen because everybody would ask the same question oh how quaint well you wouldn't think it was so quaint if you had to get up every morning and build a fire in that stupid stove and my mother would say the biscuits don't taste any better in this wood stove than they do in that gas range over there and dad said yes they do and she said all right Riley if you want biscuits in that you get up and build a fire he said no problem and when I got old enough he called me ever morning I built a fire I also cleaned the chicken cop but we won't talk about that but I learned something about building that fire if you wanted the fire to go if you wanted it to be alive you had to take out yesterday's ashes all right it doesn't matter how good the biscuits were yesterday if you want a fire for today you got to clean out that stove now look there's pressure on us right now never before has there been such pressure on lives and Ministries and hearts look at this place packed out wall toall and Everywhere You Go churches are having Revival and pastors are all saying the same thing I just feel something inside of me something's working on me I know the pressure that I just feel like something's got to happen in our church there's a whole emerging burden and concept and it really is wonderful what the Lord is doing inside of our hearts and it's not just an isolated thing it's a pretty widespread thing and I know there's people don't believe what you talked about today but you'd have to go overseas Holy Ghost is falling Revival is falling it doesn't matter whether they believe it or not it's happening anyway what you need to do is get out the old ashes and Throw Another Log on the Fire and become a participator in what God is trying to do in these last days we need to send some kind of signal I can't quote this exactly but at the First Continental Congress I remember in the history book that John Adams said when somebody talked about the revolution he said well all right so we're going to go up against mother England but he said here's what I'm afraid of he said I'm afraid we do not have men we do not have genius we don't have intellect we don't have travel we just are incapable we don't have the finances we are not prepared for this revolution that was at Continental Congress number one he sent out the signal that there were not men enough now you got to be very careful sometimes the issues get foggy it's kind of like when David and and he was in that great conflict with absum and Israel and you remember Israelites and you remember the Bible said that more people died in the woods than were killed by the sword the woods killed them so they get lost in the woods now I know people like that and absum himself got his hair caught in a limb so the the the being lost being kind of disenfranchised kills more people than the sword itself you don't have to worry too much about resisting sin you're not going to bleed to death in that fight what's liable to get you more than anything else is being confused as to the issues not understanding the importance of confronting truth in your life confronting your pains your problems your inadequacies your inefficiencies not dealing with the fact that we are totally dependent upon the supernatural power of God and just when are we going to confess that without him we can do nothing do you think we get smart enough to reach the world are you waiting for somebody to come up with a plan come on I mean if we would plan this thing we would have helicopters dumping tracks on New York City I mean that's the kind of stuff we think of track Blitz on New York City I mean give me a break people roll them things up and put marijuana in and smoke them it's going to take the Holy Ghost the presence of God I'm about through you know what is a what is the what is the thing here

that we could say to one another well I like what happened at the second continental conquer at the first Adam oh John Adams dominated the thing he said well we don't have men we don't have talent we don't have money we don't have travel we don't have genius we don't have all these things and sometimes you feel like that matter of fact I I would worry about somebody that woke up every morning and just thought they could do it on you know why I believe that I can go home and drive 90 is cuz I got that turbo in the garage and that's the way you need to feel your own frustration perhaps but nevertheless that God is and that he's able but at the Second Continental confence Congress a very interesting thing happened there was a young man who had not been all that successful in the past but nevertheless he had been a fighter and he did something that was very unique George Washington wore his uniform his old military uniform to the second Cong Continental Congress as if to say just in case you're looking for a general I happen to have this old uniform now that's the kind of attitude you see I wonder I I wondered about this today how many I wonder how many of you guys wore your uniforms here tonight I wonder how many of you are equipped mentally emotionally to Put Another Log on the Fire to take out the old Ashes to grow up to mature to stop being childish yeah to quit looking for the next basketball game and the next party and and you're willing to say God whatever it takes for me to be the kind of man that you want me to be I'm ready right now and so here comes Washington stroll in Strolling into that meeting saying just in case you're looking for a general I've got this old uniform here and did he send a subtle signal or what now I don't know where's Matt Johnson at Matt are you here where you at Matt come up here Matt Johnson I want to tell you Matt Johnson come here's a man I I love Matt because he's such an inspiration and he's a student at Indiana Bible College and I want to tell you Matt's story Matt has leukemia come up here Matt Now ladies and gentlemen whatever whatever it is you feel you've got to be feeling a commitment to Put Another Log on the Fire here's a young man Matt in the hospital you were struggling with this disease as you are right now and you'd been taking the the therapy and his he had no hair and he was in very weaken condition he's stronger now he needs your prayers but Matt changed my life I went up to pray for Matt and Matt said I want to go to Bible college now Matt knew and knows that unless God touches him he is in a very bearus position in his life but you know what Matt said Matt said give me a uniform I don't know how much time I've got but give me a uniform I want to spend my days doing something for God man he said Mom I don't want to just lay here and do puzzles and lay here and read I don't want to just lay here and talk to people find me a uniform find me something to do I want to go to school I want to open up the book of life I want the Lord to use my life now that ladies and gentlemen is what the apostolic church has got to be in these times Put Another Log on the Fire give me a uniform Matt set right up here somebody give me some handkerchief just give me handkerchiefs my goodness just give me some handkerchiefs I don't know what can we call these ribbons we'll just we'll just call them whatever give me don't be so stingy give me your handkerchief my goodness come on give me those old cheap handkerchiefs I've never seen such lousy handkerchiefs you got a handkerchief music people never sweat that's why all right give me your handkerchiefs give me your handkerchief brand new ones I love this holy way slap the person beside you and say Put Another Log on the Fire on the Fire come on I wonder if anybody came here in uniform is there anybody here that said I'm willing to clean out the chicken house I'm willing to empty the ashes I'm willing to get in
