Summary
Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.
The God who delivers in order to dwell
- Israel's life in Egypt is retold: slavery, taskmasters, and anguish of spirit so deep the people could not hearken to Moses' reassurance.
- God's purpose in the exodus was not only to deliver his people but to dwell among them; the tabernacle is where he promised to meet with them.
- The continual burnt offering — a lamb in the morning and a lamb at evening, day by day — frames the sermon's subject: morning praise and evening fruit.
Scriptures: Exodus 29:38-46
Camped around the tabernacle under the banner of praise
- The tribes pitch around the tabernacle by their standards, three to a side, with the tabernacle in the middle of the camp.
- On the east side, toward the rising of the sun, one banner is raised for all three tribes: Judah, the banner of praise; everyone gathers around praise whatever their tribe or background.
- When the cloud lifts and the camp marches, Judah leads — praise goes first into whatever the day brings, and the rising sun meets the banner of praise first.
Scriptures: Numbers 2; Numbers 2:1
Praise that meets God in the morning
- The morning is the freshness of the day — the newness of a relationship; David directs his prayer to God in the morning and waits for him more than those who watch for the morning.
- God's mercies are new every morning; his compassions do not fail.
- The hearers are urged to remember the morning of their own relationship with God, when praise was eager and church was not a question.
Scriptures: Psalm 5:3; Psalm 65:1; Psalm 130:6; Lamentations 3:22-23
Praise all the day long: the wilderness and the heat of the day
- Mornings do not last; a day can be a long season of wilderness, loss, and heat, and praise does not shield anyone from problems.
- David in the wilderness still seeks God early and speaks of his praise all the day long.
- In the heat of the day the covering is found near the tabernacle: keep coming to the house of God, in season and out, so his glory shields you and your family.
Scriptures: Psalm 63:1; Psalm 35:28
His faithfulness every night
- What keeps a person in the house of God is not the morning's lovingkindness alone but God's faithfulness every night.
- God is faithful in temptation: he will not allow more than can be borne, and he makes a way of escape.
- Hold fast without wavering, for he who promised is faithful; he has said he will never leave nor forsake, so the Lord is our helper.
Scriptures: Psalm 92:1-2; 1 Corinthians 10:13; Hebrews 10:23; Hebrews 13:5-6
Fruitful in the evening: the banner on the west side
- Joseph named his sons out of his affliction: Manasseh, because God made him forget his toil, and Ephraim, because God caused him to be fruitful in the land of his affliction; Ephraim's banner faces the setting sun.
- The sun rises on praise and sets on fruitfulness: God redeems the years the locusts took for those who stay in his presence long enough, as he bought us back at Calvary.
- Those planted in the house of the Lord flourish in his courts and bring forth fruit in old age; run the race with patience, looking to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
Scriptures: Isaiah 45:5-6; Psalm 92:12-14; Hebrews 12:1-2

hear your word speak your word and help us to receive it by your grace and by your faith in Jesus name we pray amen you may be seated in Jesus name the alarm clock that yard awake men women families and tribes was not sweet Melodies on the radio Pleasant Aroma of Colombian Brew or even some pesky rooster perched at the windowsill the noise that ended their much needed rest was the same harsh voices of task Masters that summoned them to their tents at night life as Hebrew slaves to an Egyptian Empire was a daily reality that burned into their bodies and Spirits like brands that Scar the hide of cattle Blood Sweat toil and tears where their companions nights and day tattered clothes is sufficient meals bugs that crawled on anemic babies were all a part of the daily environs that house the Seed of Abraham children buried parents who had buried grandparents in Graves covered by Egyptian soil sojourners once blessed now trapped by the confines of a ruling class that Rose to Great prominence on the backs of God's chosen people today would be like yesterday and tomorrow the same born a slave lived a slave died a Slave was the Epitaph of many a Hebrew man and woman within Egypt's borders was the heritage of God a people of promise Shackled by today crying for a better tomorrow yet a promise given long before would soon come to pass and everything would change through God ordained Providence an unlikely individual would rise up out of the house of pharaoh himself Moses would become a prince and deliver of his Brethren after 40 Years of desert life herding sheep he encounters a burning bush and is commissioned for an epic tale of Deliverance sent by God he returns to Egypt and proclaims for all to hear God's command let my people go thus would follow one of the most riveting Tales of God's power and man's obstinence and pharaoh and Moses who become the icons of struggle as Moses confronts pharaoh Pharaoh's response was to make the work load for the Jews harder and more Grievous the straw that was supplied to the slaves to make brick was taken away forcing the people to search throughout Egypt for stubble as a meager replacement the task Masters beat the officers of the children of Israel demanding they make as many bricks now as when they had straw it was then the officers came and Cried unto Pharaoh asking why such a burden had been added Pharaoh stated that if they had time to go worship as Moses had demanded they had too much time on their hands thus the work increased they were so weakened that Exodus chapter 6 records that when Moses tried to reassure the people of God's promise they quote hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit and for cruel bondage let me just take a side step here and mention this that is Satan's plan still today if he can weary us so greatly with today's burdens with today's problems and with today's hardships to where we can't believe what the man of God says he's already gotten us beaten Sunday night or Sunday morning Pastor got up and with a loud voice proclaimed the love of God to all of us but hear me well Satan would have us beaten down so much that when the man of God speaks the word of life we would be so weary and so tired we would struggle to believe what the man of God said and that's what Satan desires to do this day as he did in the land of Egypt it's against this backdrop that God begins his wondrous Display of Power Providence and provision for his people that would break the back of the Egyptian tyranny thus the plagues would begin Rivers turn to blood frogs lice and flies are Unleashed upon Egypt disease on beasts boils on man and beasts hail Locus and gross Darkness Darkness so dark that if you lit a candle it would cast no light in the room a darkness that you could feel could not see your hand in front of your face nine plagues to destroy the land of Egypt but because of Pharaoh's hardness God finished with one final Grand Finale and on that night when God told his people put the lamb to death put the blood upon the doorpost for this night the death angel will pass over and whatever is first born in the land that has not the blood applied shall surely die and it was on that night when Egypt cried a great lamentation and tumultuous cry from the poorest to the wealthiest even to the throne room of pharaoh himself when he stood over his firstborn and he wept at the loss of his son he thrust the children of Israel out of Egypt so they came out with a high hand singing dancing young and old alike healthy with the weak every cow sheep dog and cats not one hoof Left Behind the Bible says that they plundered the Egyptians who gave them raiments and gold they would be headed to A Brighter Day to a new frontier a land that held promise of life and hope one that was rumored to have milk and honey they were going to a place they had only dreamed of for 400 years a place where they could get up without the Taskmaster hollering at them a place where they could stand without their skin bleeding from the whips upon their backs and after 430 years of captivity Exodus says that at the end of 430 years even the South same day it came to pass that all the hosts of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt it was a great and glorious day of Deliverance I'm glad that Deliverance is not just for the Old Testament I'm glad that no matter what we are Shackled with no matter what we are bound with no matter how the enemy tries to come up against us there is a God that still saves delivers and heals no matter how long you've been held captive no matter how bad the bondage has been there is a God that still can say let my people go kill their mind heal their Spirit heal their past there's nothing harder that can break there is nothing that can contain the freeing power of almighty God that ought to give us hope tonight the same God that spoke to Pharaoh can speak to our problems today and he can loose us and set us free Can someone say Amen and so we go back to our original verse that we read in Exodus 29 they are on their way to a better place they're on their way to a Promised Land they've crossed the sea Pharaoh's Army has been drowned in the sea and they're dancing and they're singing and God is telling Moses I want to meet with my people I only I don't only want to deliver them I want to dwell with them and that's the beauty of a God that will set us free he will set us free that he might be with us and stay with us and God says to Moses I'm going to give you plans to build a tabernacle I know I preached about the Tabernacle out but it's just so cool and so he talks to Moses about the Tabernacle plan and you know the Tabernacle plan maybe how it's all laid out the Ark of the the ark is in there the the bowls the food the lampstand all those things are in there and God says I want you to sacrifice every morning and every night and I will meet with you at the door of the Tabernacle the Lord has taken them to a better place giving them freedom and hope and life and says I want to dwell among you and so as the Lord gives Moses these plans we look to the Book of Numbers Chapter 2. and the Lord lays out a diagram if you will of how he wants the children of Israel to encamp around the Tabernacle so picture this with me the Tabernacle is in the middle of the encampments they're coming out of Israel heading to a promised land and the Lord has a specific way he wants them to travel Numbers chapter 2 verse 1. and the Lord spoken to Moses and unto Aaron saying every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard with the in sign of their father's house far off about the Tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch I don't know if they have that picture for me if they're able to do that or not there it is so in the middle thank you in the middle there is the Tabernacle there's the Laver there's the Brazen Altar and about the campmans or the people of Israel God has specifically laid out the pattern for them to be in and in numbers God spells it out he says as they pitch their tents number one on the east side toward the rising of the sun shall they of the standard of the camp of Judah pinch pitch their tents throughout their armies so Judah pitched his tents out there among the Eastern side of the campground verse 10 on the South Side Reuben would lay his tents 18th verse on the West Side Ephraim the 28th verse Dan all of these would pitch around the Tabernacle of God we're looking at the East Side here and on the east side where Judah is is Moses and his sons that is where God said I will meet with you the children of Israel camped about the Tabernacle of God and so as we look at that we're on the east side looking toward the west north and south three tribes to each side three tribes on the north three on the south three on the East and three on the west on the North side it was Dan Asher and naftali on the south side it was Reuben Simeon and Gad but these two new parts is what I want to talk about for just a few moments on the east side was Judah issachar and zebulun on the west side was Ephraim Manasseh and Benjamin and the Lord said of the three tribes on each side I want there to be one Banner raised among you and on the east side the Lord started with the east side he said on the east side I want there to be one Banner raised for all the tribes that are on the east he said I want the tribe of Judah to raise up their standard and on the east side when the other tribes are gathered around they will all be under one banner and that is the banner of Judah can somebody tell me what Judah means very good you can read Hebrew very well congratulations on the east side he said I want there to be one inside lifted and I want there to be one only and that is the tribe of Judah the tribe of Praise a couple of things I want to bring out about this to me that is so awesome although there were three tribes on that side only one Banner was held up telling me this that it didn't matter what tribe they belong to they all gathered around the banner of praise it didn't matter who their grandpa was who their dad was they say I'm going to lay down everything that I would declare as my own and I want to gather myself around praise tonight it doesn't matter where you've come from it doesn't matter where you've been doesn't matter if you're white or black rich or poor when we all walk in here the floor is level at the altar we all can gather around praise and we all can lift up the banner and says I don't look like he looks I don't have the money she has I don't have the pedigree they've got my dad's not a preacher or a pastor but I can still hold up the banner of Praise I can praise God for who he is not because of what I am or what I've done I'm gathering around the banner of praise isn't that awesome everything that hath breath praise the Lord number two the great thing about the east side was the Bible said whenever the children of Israel began to March it was led by Judah the tribe of Judah will begin to March and whenever the cloud would lift and begin to move whenever the fire would lift at night and begin to move it was the tribe of Judah that led the people of God telling me this it matters not where the spirit of God may lead me it matters not where he may take me if I will follow him with praise if I will follow him with praise that's very important why is that important because I don't know what tomorrow brings I don't know what I'm going to be walking into today but if I can walk into any situation with praise it's going to be a whole lot better off than any other way I could get there and if I walk into areas I don't know about if I can walk in with praise that is the way I want to go so Judah on the east side is the banner of Praise now to me oh that's awesome good I like it but this part I really like is on the east side the Bible said Pitch Judah on the east side toward the rising of the Sun so Judas on the east with their Banner High and they're facing the rising of the Sun so what that tells me is that every morning when God wanted to visit his people every morning as the sun began to lift up over the Plains and the Rays began to cut through the darkened sky and as the sun began to kiss the planes where the children of Israel sat as the sun peered over the mountains and looked down toward the people of God the very first thing it met was a banner that said phrase when the sun lifted up over the children of Israel the very first thing it saw as it appeared upon the landscape was a tribe that held up the banner of Praise as if to say God on this day when the sun bursts forth upon my life I want you to know that praise is going to meet you in the morning when the sun comes over the plains the very first thing that the sun is going to meet is my lifted praise unto the most high God this this evening when I've come to tell somebody today is however you face your mourning however your morning starts let it be met with praise whatever you do the first thing when you get up whatever you do when you start the day let us start with praise because you don't know where you're going that day he don't know what's going to happen that day but my god when the sun shines let us say hey there's appraiser down there there's a group of people that's got a banner held up that says praise way it's for you o God praise is looking for you o God to come visit my life the morning is in the freshness of the day the morning is the beginning of the day the day that we're going to talk about is not always 24 hours a day can be a season it can be a time remember the old phrase back in my day or back in the day it wasn't specific June 14 1941 it was a season and so sometimes a day can be a lot longer than a 24-hour period because it can be a season in our life but the morning represents the freshness of the day it's the morning when we look forward to the day with New Hope and new opportunity it's the morning when the sun begins to test the Roses if you will and the Dew is there it's in the freshness of that circumstance that we're living in that we want to praise God in the morning what's so important about the morning let's let's look at a couple things Proverbs 5 and 3 my voice shout thou here in the morning O Lord in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee and look up Psalms 130 my soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning I say more than they that watch for the morning Psalm 65 praise waiteth for thee o God Lamentations 3 and 22 it is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed because his compassions fail not they are new every morning so in the morning time it's the newness of relationship for example young man when you were dating that girl for the first time in the morning of your relationship you spent money you didn't have probably right lady whenever that man was courting you and he'd have told a joke you laughed when no one else thought it was funny it was in the morning of your relationship is in the morning when you were dating or when you were visiting that you didn't care how long it took out of your way to go visit her you would drive out of your way to go see her or to be with him you would wait for that phone call back in our days snail mail heard of that back when you would write a letter and hope it wouldn't get lost and he would wait for a day or two or a week or a month for a letter to come back but you know what as soon as that letter came I got a letter I got a letter sometimes they might have perfume on it if you were really lucky but it was in the morning of your relationship you remember when you began the relationship with the Lord and you couldn't wait to get to church in the morning of your relationship when you first got the Holy Ghost it nobody had to ask you to come to church you were packed up and ready to go an hour early in the morning of your relationship when you came down the altar Pastor didn't have to ask you to stand up you came and you danced and you worshiped and you praise God what was that that was my morning time with the presence of almighty God it was in the beginning relationship of my life with him when I said God my soul Waits For You can anybody remember that morning relationship with God when you came to church with the praise on your lips and when you went home waiting waiting until Church the next week when I was young we had church Sunday morning Sunday night Tuesday night and Thursday night and sometimes Friday night rallies we had Church all the time we didn't have time to sin hardly we had Church all the time but you know in the beginning of your relationship it was not I'll be going to church or not Mom and Dad I'll be going church or not there was never a question in the morning of your relationship with God it was all joy and praise he walked into the church with hope you walked out of your of the of the church towards your job with hope it was that morning when God's spirit would kiss me upon my brow the morning where praise wait for God and every day as the spirit of God began to move if you will through the sun to light upon the children of Israel praise met him in the east but we know them mornings don't last always we know that there's more to a day than just the morning sometimes the morning fades quickly sometimes the morning seems to pass before long we realize that the hours are beginning to move along in this day or season that we live in because sometimes the morning can fade Psalm 63 and 1 a Psalm of David when he was in the wilderness of Judah he's in Judah he's in Praise but he's in a Wilderness I'm telling you if we are in a Wilderness Let It Be A wilderness of Our Praise let it be a time when no matter what we're going through our praise will be our stay Our Praise will be our companion no matter what kind of wilderness we're in let us be lost with our praise so David and the witness of a Wilderness he said o God Thou Art my God early will I seek thee my soul thirsteth for thee in a dry and thirsty land where no water is David said there are some times though I praise though I magnify God I go through a time of wilderness unfortunately our praise does not Shield us from problems or situations unfortunately praise does not Shield us from things that go wrong but even in the midst of our Wilderness we can still have our praise Psalms 35 and 28. and my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long not just in the morning I am talking to people today who may be in different phases of your period of time that you're going through maybe a season maybe a trial maybe someone in this room tonight is in the midst of that morning praise maybe everything is going right you just got a pay raise on your job all your kids treat you nice your cat and your dog they love you to death and everything's going good and the Holy Ghost is just falling all over you every time you talk wonderful and thank God for it but sometimes there are people who are not in the morning phase of the day the day sometimes gets protracted and long and David said I was there in the morning with my praise but that didn't stop me from going through the Wilderness In the Heat of the day he said but it matters not what part of the day I'm in I will praise all day long so the day may be a season the children of Israel were camped around and Judah was there with the Praises man they were excited to be around have you ever been around somebody who's just excited to be around I mean they could they were bubbly they were happy they were having a good time they made you want to worship they made you want to love God and that's the way Judah is Judah is just a praising machine they dance they shout they worship they magnify God and it's just wonderful to be in that midst of the fresh relationship with God in the morning but some days the morning disappears a little faster what we would like and some days the Wilderness can creep upon us and the day gets long but I want to tell somebody this evening that it matters not if the morning season has passed there is a God that is just as real In the Heat of the day as he is in the early morning where his spirit is right there with you and as the sun lifts up over your head and as the praise begins to settle down there is a God that is still just as real as he was when you shout at a dance and spoke in tongues there's a God just as real with you when you're going through problems as he was when you came down here and you repented of your sins and he healed you and you were baptized God is Not determined by how we feel he is ever the same he changes not he is still the same God he is the faithful God So In the Heat of the day when the day gets long and sometimes the season that we are in gets long there are times in our day when the praise seemingly may have felt like it was a long time ago you ever been there in a season in your life when it felt like the banner of Praise had been a long time forgotten and laid down have you ever been through struggles in your life when it was hard to come to church and dance and praise God as a matter of fact there have been times in our lives when we came to church we couldn't hardly lift our hands you ever been there matter of fact there have been times in our life When we struggle to get to church because sometimes the day gets long and the season and the trial and the Wilderness is protracted and the morning's glory and The Morning Dew has faded In the Heat of the day some of us have had long days in our lives some of us have lost loved ones in the Days of Our Lives some of us have lost careers and family members in the Days of Our Lives some of us have had all kinds of struggles and problems and trials in the days of our lives and we've stood out there sometimes to say my God where's the praise where's Judah at when I need him where's the praise that when I need him it's been a long hot day it's been a long hard day the news I got from the doctor wasn't that good the news I got from the office with the pink slip wasn't that good and this day is getting long and it's getting hot and it's getting hard to bear and I miss the shout of the morning and I miss the presence of God it seems like that I felt in the newness of my relationship but I'm here again to tell you that In the Heat of the day God is still faithful he is still faithful in the day there's winds and there's losses there's tears and there's smiles and sometimes the heat Bears heavy upon us as the day wears long but even though it was hot and even though they were in a desert place there was a provision given by God that he said that there would be a cloud by day and a fire by night the cloud was the shade during the day that always was near the Tabernacle the cloud always dwelt near the Tabernacle and if you wanted to be under the shade of God's glory in the midst of a hot day where his presence would Shield you from the troubles and trials of that day you had to get close to the Tabernacle for that shade to cover you what I'm telling somebody today is this if In the Heat of your battle if In the Heat of your trials and troubles that is not the time to go running away from the house of God that's not the time to decide to separate yourself from the presence of God Under The Canopy under the panoply of God's grace and mercy is where he will shield you from the Heat what does that relate to us tonight be at church come to church when you feel like it come to church when you don't feel like it come to church when you have a song come to church when you can't carry a tune it matters not how you get here just get here if you can get near the Tabernacle get near the house of God where the canopy of God's glory can Shield you from the Heat and in the middle of the struggle and in the middle of the day of hardness there is a covering that God will provide for his people don't leave the church when Temptations come to tell you it's easier out there than it isn't here don't leave when the pastor offends us and we get upset don't leave whenever someone aggravates us or we don't get called upon or we get offended for God's sake don't leave the tamman of God's presence the reason that I'm here and my wife are here is not because we're always good and have always had it easy but the deal is we kept coming back to the house of God there were times I didn't feel like going there were times I didn't care about going but I kept going why because I have three daughters that were falling after me and they said hey Mom and Dad's going to church hey everything's not going all right in our house we got problems but we're still going to church and so when I came to church I taught them three girls you keep coming to the house of God you keep loving God when things are good and when things are bad and when we keep coming to the house of God there is a covering he'll cover your children he'll cover your husband he'll cover your family he'll cover your body he'll cover your spirit if you get Under The Canopy of almighty God in the house of the Lord it matters not how hot it is he will cover you Hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah he will cover you keep by the house of the Lord the reason why Psalms 92 and 1 said it is this it is a good thing to give thanks to the Lord and to sing praises unto thy name almost high here we go to show forth thy loving kindness in the morning oh that's easy that's praise I love that loving kindness I love that feel good I love that jicama High I love all that stuff I love baptizing people I love all that loving kindness in the morning but he didn't stop there he said and thy faithfulness every night that's what's going to keep you in the house of God it's not a morning kiss of God's glory it's not just a doodad that you feel on Sunday morning or Wednesday night I'll tell you what's going to keep you in the house of God is God's faithfulness it's when he is there when you're not it's when he's loving you when you don't know if you can love yourself it is the faithfulness of God in the evening time every night I'm here because it is the faithfulness of God first Corinthians 10 and 13 says it this way there hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man but God is faithful he will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able but with the Temptation also make a way to escape that you may be able to Bear it we serve a faithful God Hebrews 10 and 23 let us hold fast to the profession of our faith without wavering for he is faithful that promised Hebrews 13 5 for he hath said I will never leave thee nor forsake thee so that we may boldly say the Lord is my helper and I will not fear what man shall do unto me the reason I'm here at the time of a long hard day is not because I'm good not because of this so that is all because there is a faithful faithful God he is a faithful God the same loving kindness in the morning is the same faithfulness at night and speaking of nights if you could put that picture back up again if you don't mind for able to speaking of nights on the east side where the sun came up who's the praise and the worship but the sun rose on the east but it settled on the west and so what did we find on the west side of the children of Israel oh yeah this this Manasseh Benjamin and Ephraim that's what's on the west side so the shouting and and the praise and glory that was that came with Judah on the east side now the sun is starting to diminish now the day that has been protracted is getting closing time and now the season that we've gone through and have been going through is now starting to wind down and as the sun goes across the tune of Israel and as it looks back and begins to wave good night to the people of God there is one Banner standing on the West Side facing the Setting Sun but before I mention that let me jump back in history just a little ways back to Genesis 41 when there is a man by the name of Joseph who has been sold into slavery by his brethren he's been put to jail he's been lied on he's been through all kinds of things not his not his wish not his desire not his plan it just happened to him he was a man who understood the frustration of incompleteness he was a man that understood what it was like to be lied upon by his family by his co-workers he was a man who understood pain and Agony and loss he was a man that even though he was in captivity kept a good spirit that's hard that's really hard when things happen beyond our control and if it wasn't for that or this I'd be blessed it wasn't for this or that there would be some more life going on in my family in my home but Joseph sold into slavery dealt with his Agony and anguish but kept the right spirit and you know the story was lifted up to be the second in all of command of Egypt and as his brother and finally come and he is reunited with his brother and he tells his Brethren you meant what you did for evil but God meant it for good and Joseph among among other things had two sons one son he named Manasseh because he said God hath made me to forget all my house and toil Joseph is now second in command of all the land he's head honcho number two he can pretty much say you live or you die and in the midst of all his troubles and trials he still realized that it was God that was with him through every step of the way and so now later on in Joseph's life as he's beginning to thank God and realize that God has been with him and has elevated him from the dungeon and from the prison and blessed him to see the Fulfillment of his dreams as a young man he names his first son Manasseh because God has made me to forget all my family and toil how wonderful to be able to forget the troubles but he also had a second son by the name of Ephraim and Ephraim name such because his name means God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction Joseph looked at his life and said yeah I was sold into slavery I was lied on I was cast into prison I was forgotten about I'll never see my mom again she dies before I ever get to see her again I've had lost I've had pain but in the midst of all of that there's always been a presence of God that has been with me and as Joseph as Joseph looked down upon his son he named him Ephraim because as he looked around all his life and all of his loss and all of his pain he was able to say God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction on the west side of the Tabernacle in the middle there if you will was the tribe of Ephraim the NASA and Ephraim Joseph Sons made up part of the 12 tribes and as the sun went down over a long hot day and as it crossed over the tribe of Ephraim they held up a banner at the end of the day it said it's been a long day oh my god I've lost some things I've had some troubles and trials I've shed some tears but as the sun goes down upon this land I want God as I close my eyes and I to see my banner it says in the midst of all my loss he's made me fruitful in the midst of all that I've dared to see gone in the midst of all that I've had in my life that has went negative in the midst of my encampment in my encampment in the wilderness I want God to know that in my life he has proven himself fruitful and as the sun went down upon the West Judah praise waiting for another morning praise over here ready to shout and dance ready to magnify God and their banners is ready for another wonderful morning but in the night as the sun Fades there's some people who've been through some struggles and trials there's some people who've been through divorce there's some people who've been through cancer there's some people who've been through kids that may not have made it because it went away and got killed in drugs there's been all kinds of situations that people have had but tonight we find ourselves here and no matter what we went through and no matter what we have lost there is a God that at the end of the day if we stay close to his presence if we stay close to his faithfulness he will make us fruitful so the sun rises on praise and worship Thanksgiving and honor but it sets on fruitfulness and faithfulness the reason we are here and the reason we're fruitful is because God is faithful the reason we have any fruit I don't know what your fruit may be maybe you look at your life you say my God I don't have any fruit I I've been stripped in this long day I've gone through all kinds of loss physically spiritually emotionally family I've lost things I can't see any fruit in my life well if we stay in the presence of God I promise you at the end of the day somehow someway we'll be able to hold up a banner says he's made me fruitful maybe your fruit is different than my fruit maybe your fruit is a good job maybe your fruit is a family reunion maybe somebody else's fruit is healing maybe someone else's fruit is eternity with God maybe you can't see anything in their life that looks fruitful in their life but God has promised to be fruitful Mark 6 and 31 I didn't give you the verse but Jesus is with his disciples and he's teaching the people and all day long they've been with him and the Bible says the day grows long and the evening is coming and his disciples come to Jesus says Hey Jesus uh why don't we send these people away anyone get some food Jesus says well let me ask you a question what do you have well we got a little fish a little bread Jesus said okay let's sit them down and let's feed him because Jesus understood if you'll stay with him when the day is hot when the day is long when it'd be easier not to come to church when it be easier not to praise God when it be easier to sit and bemoan our situation that Jesus said if they stay with me through the length of the day I will provide for them in the night I am faithful no matter how long the day has been there is always an evening and with that evening comes fruitfulness in the presence of God so the children of Israel every morning the sun period of cost and God saw their praise no matter how the day went when they stayed out of the canopy of God's presence as a son went to the evening sky there was a group of people who said you didn't get me you didn't give me devil it was tough battle but I haven't quit it was a struggle but I didn't give up I'm still here and if you can say tonight you're still here you're still winning you may not run up and down the aisles you may not shout but if you're here you're still winning because in the evening time God is faithful if the musicians would come Isaiah 45 and 5 I am the Lord and there is none else there is no God beside me I girded thee though thou Hast not known me that they may know from the rising of the Sun and from the West that there is none beside me I am the Lord there is none else would you stand with me tonight I don't know where you are today I don't know what part of day this day you may be in you may be going through his long struggle this day may be going and going and going and you dread going home and you dread tomorrow because you don't know what's going to be like and you dread the things that people have said in the situations you're in but if you stay in the presence of God long enough there is healing we talk about this and free and I'm so glad some of our guys from free are here we talk about how God redeems to redeem means to buy back when you go to the pawn shop and you give them a 500 item and they give you thirty dollars for it and you go back to redeem it and you got to pay 100 bucks back 100 bucks to redeem it you have bought back what was yours when we stay in the presence of God long enough the Bible says that he would redeem the years that the locusts have taken he would redeem that which was lost in our times of troubles and trials that's why people sit on these pews and you would have thought they walked out of their mother's womb speaking in tongues because they looked so good so anointed you wouldn't know that a few years ago there was alcoholics and drug addicts on the streets living under bridges what happened I'll tell you what happened they met God in the morning and God filled him with that praise and glory and as they stayed in the presence of God there was a healing there was a redeeming there was a God who said hey when I birthed you I had some talents I had some giftings for you I had some promises for you and you may have lost them you may have tossed them to the wind but if you'll stay in my presence long enough I will buy back what you have lost and that's what Calvary was Calvary bought us back from the enemy the reason we can stay here today is because there was a savior that hung upon the cross paid his own blood for you and I that he might redeem us back from the wages of sin Hebrews 12 wherefore sing We also are compassed about was so great a cloud of witnesses let us lay aside every way and sin which easily besets us let us run with patience the race that is set before us looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith when that trumpet sounds would be to God when that's represents we could say he started it was able to finish I had some problems in the middle I may have walked away I may have lost a few things I may have made a few missteps but the faithfulness and mercies of God was in the beginning and he was in the end and I closed with this Psalms 92 those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God they shall bring forth fruits in old age they shall be fats and flourishing to all of us here tonight I don't know what part of the day we're in you may be a teenager he may be in the morning of your life he may be a trendsetter and it feels like you may be in the evening of your life but the Lord said it matters not if we stay in the presence of God we may be old ER but we'll still be fruitful because God is looking for someone that will just stay with him longer than the heat of the day just stay with him longer than the struggles you're going through just stay with him longer than the problems you're facing though I fall down Rejoice not against Me O My Enemy for when I fall I shall arise get up one more time more than you fall down our God gives us praise meets us with praise in the morning and gives us fruits at night would you just close your eyes Wherever You Are Lord Jesus I'm just asking somebody tonight are you going through a struggle are you going through a season and you're wondering where that Praise of the early morning dew has gone and you're wondering maybe where the shout has been I just want to encourage someone today stay faithful keep praising God keep being near the house of God because there is going to come an evening when the presence of God is going to kiss your brow and you're going to hold the banner it says I've been fruitful I may have lost a few things I may have went through some struggles but God's been faithful and because he's been faithful I am fruitful in the presence of An Almighty God Hallelujah Jesus Hallelujah Jesus just slip your hands in a few witness let your praise to him tonight one more time if you want to come and pray you're welcome if you want to just make one more statement to the enemy it says hey I'm going to stay around long enough until I see some fruits I got some unsaved children that I want to pray long enough till I see him come back to the house of God I've got an unsafe spouse the devil says he'll never be saved the devil says she'll never be forgiven but I Want To Praise long enough till I see some fruits I Want To Praise till I see some fruit in my life God is faithful he is faithful hallelujah hallelujah
