how how many in here understand prayer anybody all right uh let me watch my time I going to make sure we're right by nine um when we read um we read in the scripture and uh about prayer and we go to the Lord with our prayer we really believe that God hears our petition agreed okay so we bring a petition to the Lord y'all y'all hang on to me for just just a little while tonight we we we bring our petition to the Lord and then we grab a hold of the need that we brought to him and then we ask him to move on behalf of what we've asked him to do sound about right now follow me a minute there are times that we have formulated a plan in our minds on how God should intervene and act on our behalf has anybody ever planned it out huh did it work that way maybe once in in in in a while um just in case God missed some of the details just in case he's not sure of how desperate or how much of in a bind you are you go ahead and and you pray you bring your petition to God you've you vocalize it and then many times probably more times than not in your mind you consider the outcome you consider the way or work around you you consider that you know if you had to you could do it this way or if you could this and you could make that and you've prayed about it but then you go ahead and you know we all believe that God only helps those who help themselves but if that were the case you wouldn't need prayer that okay stay with me what we do so many times is we activate a scenario in which the supernatural can work and then we suppose because God knows all things that he would simply read our thoughts and the problem would take care of itself now I'm going to get really basic for a few moments but I hope I hope to help us if the answer comes in the way that we've thought then we chalk it up to yeah God came through but has anybody ever received an answer from God and it wasn't at all what you wanted wasn't that Pleasant maybe okay if he would simply read the thoughts he would understand our problem the answer would come the way we want and then all of the detail in our minds we've already worked them out and God could then fulfill all of the little details in our minds that we've got and then only then if God does not answer according to our petition our prayer the way we fabricated and made it up in our minds then we blame God or we blame others I I prayed about this and it just didn't just didn't happen boy if she would have just or if he could have okay and in our mind y'all hang on to me a moment will help us tonight in our minds we fabricated this and others get the blame and so many times some of us have spoken out against and we saidwell lord if if if if I were living for you or if you really love me this would work out the way that I'm I presented it to you if you only knew how good this would be for me God then you would you would let me participate or let me do has anybody who ever prayed for a job to come and it came and you wish you had not prayed for it oh I know I have Lord I need to make extra money this month because I have a bill due and all of a sudden the hardest job I've ever had comes my way and I'm like now hold on Lord we could have talked a little bit about that and he simply says we did you asked me for prayer listen carefully I asked you a moment ago how many understand prayer I don't think we really really do stay with me tonight because prayer is a very difficult thing to grasp the idea the intent of prayer is very challenging I'll go to the dictionary and I look it up what is the word now I don't I'm not putting any I'm just saying y'all hang on to me Prayer by definition an Earnest request or wish an address like like a petition to God in word or thought there's your basic definition it's a it's an Earnest request everybody say ask an Earnest request so we openly ask or we cite ently think we close our eyes we look inward with the best set of words and we present to God the need that we have and and a lot of times what we what we bring to him is we need healing or provision or help we need protection we need closed doors or open doors we need millions of other things and if God would simply act on our behalf the way we think he should then we could say without a shadow of a doubt God answers prayer when we pray many times we are asking God for something that we ourselves can do hang on to me a b Lord you know that I'm I'm having a hard time in this Valley God I I just need help getting through it and and I'm I'm going to do my best to to do what I can do for it and then we get up from there and we'd start walking we take off into the task and the Lord knows what's going on because he's given us strength to do what we're doing but the fact is is you would probably get up anyway you'd probably go on to work or you'd probably has anybody ever been desperate for an answer to prayer no no no not selfish desperate God I need this please have you ever prayed a prayer like this God I I need you to work in this situation now don't raise your hand now God some of us even even get all stood up now we get that inod now as if God didn't hear the first now huh because it gives it emphasis and it makes us to be able to say God I asked you for it often times Bo I don't want to get in trouble y'all know I love you you know I love you Matthew chapter 6 y'all go with me I want to show you something here these words are readed in your KJV Matthew chapter 6 verse5 and when thou prayest okay this is about prayer thou shall not be as the Hypocrites are for they love to pray standing in the synagogues in the corner corners of the streets that they may be seen of men verily I say unto you they have their reward verse six but thou when thou prayest enter into thy closet and when thou Hast shut thy door pray to thy father which is in secret and thy father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly you ready for verse 7 but when you pray use not vain repetitions as the Heathen do for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking be not verse eight be not ye therefore like unto them for your father knoweth what things you have need of before you ask him talk in prayer after this manner therefore pray ye Our Father which art in heaven Hallowed be thy name verse 10 thy kingdom come thy will be done done in earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debt we forgive our debtors and lead us not into temptation Deliver Us from Evil for thine is the Kingdom power the glory forever everybody say it amen Jesus is teaching on the idea the concept of prayer and he says when you pray don't do what the Hypocrites do those who say one and do another Those Who present one but act another why because they love to hear themselves talk in fact he goes on and he says in fact don't use vain repetitions how many have ever been caught in the vain repetition Circle huh God if sister Stacy called an hour prayer on Monday night Lord I got to go and I've got to pray an hour and so therefore Lord I'll use me much words CU an hour is a long time huh I mean gets through your prayer circle dialogue in about 12 minutes and then you go as I was saying God hallelujah thank you Lord Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus oh Jesus Jesus Jesus there anything wrong with saying that what do you think he's doing while you're saying that what no he doesn't do that that's in my mind I mean right like when you're I always bring kids into this because I had a couple um Dad Dad Dad Dad Dad none of your children do that right dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad what do you do no you don't you end up building this big Shield there and that's why they say so much cuz you've built up this tolerance if you hit the 74th time then I'll I'll turn yes did you need me no dad I just wanted to use up all my words for today dad dad dad dad dad here's the thing again I don't want to get in trouble because I know this is such a fine line we we need to understand prayer y'all realize we're going to be on thankfulness don't you we need to understand prayer because if we learn how to communicate with God effectively ly then our faith will increase our trust will increase our confidence increases our ability to rely and depend on him increases if we'll truly understand the power of prayer Jesus says to them don't use vain repetitions so what is a vain repetition someone help me 2023 I know I said Jesus earli but what's a vain repetition okay what's vain empty what else meaninglessness what else what's vain without sincerity yeah what's vain self-serving what's vain we get it right everybody understand what's repetitions the shallow the meaninglessness the all of the things you said vain repetitions then listen to me carefully if you truly understand what God's doing and you have a relationship with him your communication can be very forward with him you don't demand things from God if you demand things from God you should get the same response that you give your children when they demand things from you I I I'll just share my son if he would have come to me dad give me 20 now I said buddy I don't have it I got five and I can give it to you four times now you think he would have got the idea you better know it yeah D I got don't need that 20 at all vain repetitions if we understand the power of prayer we can change the way we pray this is not a lesson only on prayer this is thankfulness but if we understand how God moves and interacts in your life and you understand relationship with him he says when you pray don't do what the Hypocrites that this one thing here and one thing there they're not stable don't stand in the like in the church house and be singing oh God thou knowest there anything wrong with that prayer everybody's afraid to answer oh it's motive the Hypocrites love St standing up where everybody can see them you know it's like I've used this term multiple times because it's true my uh somebody in my family years ago got up to sing in church a special and they good to be here love the Lord y'all praise me as I sang She it was an a it was a slip but all of us went that ain't nothing more right than what you just said instead of Praise the Lord with with y'all praise me as I sing and then you stand in the synagogue on the corners of the street all they want to do is be seen they have their reward listen to me I would much rather understand the power of prayer openly let God bless than for me to present myself who I think I am and God to look at me and say fine that's what you want him but where did he say how did he say to pray in this story and this what he's telling his disciples what he say to do go where go to your closet close the door and it's Secret in there y'all I'm fixing get into the meat of my lesson tonight there is nothing wrong with praying openly I do it you do it talking to God communicating listening communication with him how many are thankful God listens but if you're going to have a walk in a relationship with God he wants to hear you when nobody else is hearing you see we can get all we can get all up in arms when everybody's around listening come on you know how it is I get tickled at Monday night prayer I got to use this a lot CU I hear people praying Lord Jesus Jesus I love you and I bless your name and Lord I Thank you and then I hear them I'm walking by I hear yes Lord yes Lord yes and then I keep listening and the one behind them at a Pew God you know they can eat healed and this one's now amen yes Lord and I'm now they got it going back and I'm like you better not stop cuz they'll run out of things to say back there yeah yeah yes oh Grant it Lord yes and then somebody gets in some juicy prayer requests and they get quiet my wife comes home sometime she says sweetart we need to pray for so and so I said about what well they got the baby you got to get details no honey why because I need to know what I'm praying about she said no you're being nosy but I need to know what I'm praying about come on call them let's find out cuz they want prayer about you know in in in the closet When you pray notice what's happening in the secret closet nobody's going to hear nobody's going to respond nobody's going to like dislike thumbs up thumbs down none of that it's going to be you and God and God wants your honest communication holy ghost in this room right now God desires to hear from you but he cares more about your quietness than your loudness listen to me is there a time for loudness yes it's called Praise I love you I bless you I exalt you extol you I I lift you up that's praise prayer can you pray in public most certainly you can but you're going to get your communication with God in that quiet let me ask somebody anybody here know how to worship now that we've had a series on on that what do you do what do you do you're where you're you're down and flat out who's listening now it's you and carpet it's you and the floor and not know about you but most of the time if I'm flat down on the floor and I'm praying and my face is on the floor I'm not screaming yell and hooping and hollering you know what I'm doing I'm God words can't even be uttered when I get into his presence that's that place where he's working and he's moving in your life stay with me talk in thankfulness Jesus taught on the subject of prayer and he wanted for his followers to understand what was at stake if you're going to believe and you're GNA truly seek and follow after Jesus then you've got to say you know what I better find me a quiet secret place to pray does he doesn't say paint it blue he doesn't say hang curtains he doesn't say put carpet he simply says you find what's yours I had a lady I grew up with she had a stump in her back 40 of her farm and that's where she'd go cleared off everything around it cleared off and she would go and sit on that stump or dance on that stump or kneel at that stump that's where she went she said I could pray and speak in tongues and nobody but the deer and the squirrel would hear in me huh right now if I asked you where's your secret place do you have one could you identify with it could you invite somebody to your secret place and say this is where I meet God hang on to me a minute go to that quiet place set aside time with him in that place is is where you present your request in that place you present your request and then the Bible says then he will openly answer bless move do in your life openly people will see things happening listen they won't even know what to expect because you haven't revealed it to them you've only revealed it to God and when we come into the house for an example or somebody on your job and they see that you got a smile on your face or that you got that new job or you've got that raise or you got you know what they're going to say how'd that happen cuz somebody's been in a closet praying and openly folk are going to go I don't know why they getting all that but you know what they always happy they got a smile they're never belly aching and groaning you understand Jesus makes certain that the people remember that vain repetitions is just a lot of talk it's just a lot of talk you got to watch that listen to me you're not simply filling space you're not checking off the box when you come to to Monday night prayer I'll just keep using that reference if if you can only pray in a manner for five minutes then I challenge you pray five minutes and then pray six minutes and then reach for seven minutes go to nine minutes watch what happens when you when you hit a point to where time doesn't matter now and now it's simply you and God in a conversation I don't know about you y'all but I'd much rather talk to him than a whole lot of folk conversation with god that's what in order not one-sided bombardment with all the begging and all the slithering around on the floor God could you pray that way yeah if you want to but you don't beg God for anything you worship him then you praise him then you pray to him now the re again I had to start tonight by saying I love all of you because some of y'all right now as I'm teaching this you've known people you know people or you're one of them that you do some of these things and you're like does that mean they're going to hell does that mean they're F does that mean that no what I'm saying is is if you want answers from God he said I'm going to teach you I'm going to give you instruction on how you need to touch me and when I do that I will give you the instructions that you need to get answers for your prayer come on it's not one-sided God I Need You Ready set go and here's this you can just do this and come in through that and then if you can move in this and you can go on that then if you get that one done come and then I'm amen out the door and God the whole time is sitting there going stay with me stay with me we can all test that there are times that we cry out to God that's when that broken heart that broken contrite spirit he won't turn that away he knows what's going on in your life and as you cry out to him I don't mind saying I've told y'all before there have been nights that I'd lay on the floor for for hours and cry I was doing something here I was trying to get this thing under subjection I was trying to get this thing out of the way so I could hear from God and i' I'd spend time with him and and I I was desperate to get an answer and I didn't know what else to do but just cry out and all the while God's listening and instead of him working he's working on me and I'm learning things now now again y'all okay allow me a moment I want to help you with your prayer time Paul wrote to to the young preacher Timothy listen to what he said 1 Timothy chapter 2 verse one I exhort therefore that ready first of all supplications prayers intercessions ready and giving thanks be made for all men Men Kings and all that are in Authority that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and honesty Paul writes to the young man and he says supplications prayers and intercessions how many knows what these things are but you can't simply have supplications prayers and intercessions but when you do and giving of thanks has to be attached to that notice what he wrote to the Philippians Philippians 4:4 rejoice in the lord always and again I say rejoice verse five let your moderation be known unto all men the Lord is at hand be careful for nothing but listen and everything ready prayer supplication with what with Thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God and the peace of God which passeth all understand understanding shall keep your hearts and Minds through Christ Jesus both of these texts both of these letters written are results of answered prayer supplications basically by definition to ask humbly and earnestly for intercessions intercessions prayer on behalf of another naturally it arises from the Instinct of the human heart not merely prompted by affection or interest but recognizing that God's relation to man is not merely idual but social you feel like you're going to intercede for someone else so what Paul was writing both to Timothy and the churches as he was telling them when you make your prayers and you make your humble request and you you pray for somebody else if you don't come with Thanksgiving as well you will not see the results you are looking for back up Paul was simply saying to them if you don't combine than giving with your prayer you are simply going to frustrate yourself because what happens when you know of a situation that's going on doesn't matter how big small good bad or ugly it is doesn't matter it could be a healing it could be Deliverance it could be provision it could be whatever you name it you it could be there when you bring that petition when you make supplication and you humbly ask God to intervene and to work on your behalf God hears you ready for it he also hears when you make intercession Lord my brother needs something my sister needs something the neighbor the coworker the guy down the street the guy on the other side of the globe and somewhere in China I don't know God they need you can you please work on their back you feel that drawing to pray and intercede for someone else God is listening but listen to me he is not bound to you until you give him thanks listen a lot of times we walk around with unanswered prayer because we're not thankful for what he's already done or for what he's planning on doing you do realize that he is Alpha and Omega you do recognize he is first and last body here know that he is the author and finisher listen to me you can't twist his arm you can't push him into a box you can't cause him to wonder and scream uncle say okay I give in no friend when he listen when he wrote your name in the book The plan is there now it's up to you to follow it but here in lies the problem are you with me anybody ready for it here in is the situation God understands prayer simply is this it is a battle of wills if it be your will let this cup pass from me what' he say nevertheless not my will but thine be done the bottom line to answered prayer is the battle of wills you can pray you can intercede you can make supplication you can do vain repetitions you can bring you can do all of the things you want to do communicating with God but if you don't let your will submit to him and let his will be done you're going to frustrate yourself Pastor how do you do that I'm glad you asked you give him thanks come on thankful you know why Thessalonians got it and everything give thanks that's the will of God in Christ Jesus you know why because the will of God says I've already got this worked out come on we sing about that we pray about that we encourage come on you know God's got this worked out you know God is here you know God is from the beginning to the end and you know God's not going to and we encourage one another all then we go to the prayer closet and we forget to thank God for what he's doing and God standing there saying if you thank me that means you trust me in everything we give him thanks what if I don't like it it don't matter you thank him why because you're letting his will be accomplished let me ask you something how when's the last time you let your will be done in any situation huh how'd that turn out for you that's why you're in the prayer closet God I let my will be done and I messed it all up or Lord I got myself in a in a situation now God I I need you to move Lord I I I God I I'm I'm making supplication here Lord you know where I'm at God you understand my situation I I just need for you to move and I need a provision or a healing or a door to open and all the while God's saying exactly you need all that stuff what you're asking me to do is let my will be done so thank me for who I am for what I'm doing and for my plan why because he didn't put you on Earth to stop loving you at the end but he's got a will nevertheless not mine but thine be done CU if you'll let God's will be done friend what God's going to do is say you know what my will for you says I've got an expected in for you I don't want to hurt you I don't want to harm you I I've got blessings for you I'm I'm going to take care of you I've got provision for you what you've got to learn to do is submit to the will of God how do you do that thank you God thank you God Lord I Thank you so many of us so many of us want to identify with our problems huh so many of us want to identify with the junk we're going through because it gives us credibility with others you know there's nothing worse than talking to somebody and them look at you and say I have no idea what you're talking about huh no I mean Thanksgiving coming up there's a meal we're going you'll sit around and talk family and all coolest thing happens around family stuff his stories start to get told and then you you you just got to tell one because they done told seven you know they're telling all these stories you ain't got one in yet you yeah it reminds me of the time I had red hair it was the funniest thing everybody's like dang nothing to do with something I know I just had to get something in there come on families come on families oh yeah yeah yeah that reminds me of the time I had a job and they're like now confession transparency a lot I ask my wife she'll tell you A lot of times when all of our fames I just throw stuff out there I do I just and they're all looking like ain't got nothing to know I just want if y'all was listening huh now if they're all talking and they're all families are you know and I'm trying to get a story out and nobody let me I got one so I think they ask my kids my wife said you know what the other day I was looking at this thing and and it just started coming out then I just fell fell aart she huh you're talking to the wall exactly it's like talking to the wall my daughter said dad you're just so dramatic I said no that was dramatic to say that I'm dramatic listen to me carefully how many trust God's will I cannot tell you how many in my life I've had people come to me and say Pastor I just want God's will for my life I just want God's will for my life I I I just want God's will for my life okay then stop your will when I that's going to be it's going to be hard it's going to be challenged it's going to be yeah but you said you wanted God's will you know what God's will is for you to love him and serve him that's his will come on it ain't rocket science well it may be but that's his will huh come on he what he's saying is I simply want you to trust me so tonight we're talking thankfulness session number three trying to help you with your prayer time when you pray you you make your supplication you make your intercessions you bring your petitions but along with that you bring Thanksgiving Lord I thank you oh God you're good God you're glorious God you're wonderful thank you heard a story years ago from a pastor friend of mine said God come in and said pastor I'm done with church it's been frustrating it's just backbiting it's just mermaid it's just competition it's just stuff I'm tired of it I'm walking away I'm done Pastor yeah okay I yeah and he's trying to and the gu's just frustrated at church and all the stuff and all the drama and all the things and Pastor I get it well I guess sound like you made up your mind I'm sure you thought that yes right I thought it out it's just what I'm going to do and the Pastor said okay can I ask one thing what's one thing as you walk out as you're done one thing would you thank God for something he's done in your your life so what do you mean I don't know just anything while since while you've known him and just tell him thank you Pastor said young man looked at him and said okay uhuh God I thank you for breath pastor says that's a good one you got another one I I now I'm mad I'm leaving I get it but before you go just thank him for something thankful for thankful for my job okay got any more it didn't take the guy about three or four thanks and finally tears well up and he began to recognize you know what my whole problem is not anything but my ungrateful heart if I would just thank the Lord in all things what you are saying to him is Lord I trust you see the problem in our culture today in 2023 I don't mind telling you is control God if I can control this scenario and I can control the outcome then I'll believe it and I'll follow it and all the while God said since when can you control anything you can't even control your appetite you can't control your spending you can't control your money you can't oh my in somebody's business I'm sorry you can't control and you going to control the outcome of this thing no you're not huh come on we got January coming up anybody believe in January resolution this year I'm going lose 192 pounds till the second I'll catch you next year boy I tried though or I did I did I tried that day it was H was hard you know you brother brother drawn would you come please prayer is a matter of Wills bottom line line what God wants to know Paul's letter he describes it he says to Timothy he says to the church he says to them you you make prayer you make petition you bring supplication intercession but you better give thanks because if you're ever going to get answers from God it's going to come through your thankful attitude your thankful Heart come on some of y'all been praying about some stuff for months and years maybe and you're wonder why isn't God answering God is answering God's waiting on his will to be done and not yours God's got answers he doesn't fa come on somebody in here help me right now tell me one mistake God ever made tell me one time he ever dropped it and walked huh the whole world's going to blame him if there was really a god there wouldn't be poverty and there wouldn't be children Abus and there wouldn't be Cancers and all these things that the world says and I'm looking at it going hold on a minute now hang on one second why are you blaming him on all that he's the one that struck her he's the one that broke in there and stole and did this and that why are you blaming God for that cuz God wouldn't let it happen but you got a will why don't you get God's will in your life Paul's trying to help even Jesus he said when you pray stop doing the vain repetition stop stop standing there a corner and just everybody looking at you get honest go to your secret place go to your quiet spot can I refer one more time back to Monday night prayers when you come to the sanctuary here it's for corporate encouragement thank you again sister Stacy but the other Monday nights is for your family prayer I won't ask you to show a hands but how many take advantage of Monday night prayer with your families listen to me carefully mom and dad your children do not pick up anything by osmosis they are terrible at that they are they're as bad about that they don't even learn any of that like my wife has never learned to read my mind I know brother now I give her a piece of it every once in a while she just give it back it's not the part I want some of y'all know don't don't just look up here just look up here huh but what what would it be like if if a whole church would get honest with God and say God before I get here on Sunday I'm not coming in on two wheels Lord I'm coming with expectancy how did you get that expectancy because in my prayer Clause at at home in my car my wherever it is that you secretly get away with God I'm talking to God and I'm finding out his will and his will I want it to work I don't want mine to cuz I am terrible at this it's 808 I I know a lot of times our discouragement and our frustrations come with those around us agreed they they ain't acting right you know know the they the infamous they they just don't know do they you do realize they're saying the same thing they just don't know well who's the they to to you I'm the they to me you're the they well we're all they there's your Dr Seuss book huh cuz what we're trying to do is we're trying to push our will and what we want and we're forgetting the whole fact is if God is indeed the author and and finisher why would we not want him to let his will be done you realize through the whole Old Testament God was simply telling his chosen people if you'll do my will you won't have to fight a battle you'll live in houses you did not build you'll draw from Vineyards you did not plant you'll partake of things you had nothing to do with but I'll give that to you and it's when they stood up and said but we want a king God said there goes the will huh what he say anybody remember you're going to pay taxes you're going to have to give to him that's all his will now listen carefully some of you Bible scholars you got a toalet at your house of one shape or there's a bunch got one at at a bought fifth 19s whatever it's where the rabbis write stories it's mostly about penet and and and I go to it once in a while cuz it's super heavy stuff I'm like whoa the Tabernacle where you know how many thousands of sacrifices were done a day the Tabernacle how many how many what quantity hundreds thousands just you know you had a sin offering you had to bring or you had this trespass offering you had to bring stuff to the there's a writing in there says you realize that in that Tabernacle there were no no flies flies didn't follow that because it was God and God made it right you realize that when the children of Israel walked 40 years they didn't lose children shoes didn't wear out clothes didn't God honored them all because God's will he even said I want you to go from here to the promised land did they sure how long did it take why because they follow their will instead of God's will but God said but it's my will to take care of you so you walk and I'll feed you you keep walking I'll give you water come on guys God is so big he's got such an incredible idea and a will for us when you pray make sure you're thankful stand with me Jesus come on pray would you come on pray would you come on pray would you Lord I Thank You Lord I Thank you I want you Lord to accompl accomplish your will and let my will God get smaller less you you increase God let me decrease let my my will God I I simply want to be the one that intercedes help us to simply be the ones that bring petition Lord and and we pray for our neighbors and loved ones and for your will to be accomplished and and we we strive Lord to follow pursue after your will God we we need you cuz you're perfect and and if it's from you God it's right and you don't make mistakes and you don't drop it and you don't try to cover you you you just do God and you're perfect at it but Lord we we are so human God we were created in your image but sin Lord has has caused us and to have a strong will Lord and so many times God we can't break that will and give it to you help us Lord I pray let us pray but let us equally be thankful let us make petitions to you God but equally let us be thankful help us Lord to to intercede Lord for the needs God and those around us but equally let us let us be thankful come on somebody God's want God wants to do a work in your life but you're you're playing now you're you're just joking around with God you're you're just doing vain repetitions you're just standing up to be heard as opposed to letting God do his work in your life come on this hour requires a Hungry Heart for the will of God yeah I love you Lord I trust you Jesus I trust trust you Jesus come on somebody not not my will God but thine your will be done in our lives Jesus I love you Jesus I trust you Jesus I believe you right now when was the last time in this church we saw somebody receive the wonderful gift of the Holy Ghost when was that when was the last time anybody remember and we've had people refilled we've had people come back through that's already received it early Myra she she wasn't sure then it was confirmed here yet my point to that is I wasn't asking for an EXA I'm telling that's something that I desire how about you I want to see that well here's situation be very honest here situation if you're ever going to receive the wonderful gift of the Holy Ghost the last thing that you've got to give up is what your will in that of course is where the squalling and the crying and the god I I've just opened myself to you in Repentance that Brokenness what you are doing as you are saying let my will go away and let your will in that is when God says now now now because you have turned to my will I can work in you and he feels be you why do you see when someone receives a holy ghost why do you see their countenance change what just happened their Direction Changed they're they're no longer hopeless they're no longer panicking they're no longer bathed in sin but they're they they've got a will now that's God's so I'm going to ask you Church would you help pray for that God every week Lord we have people come into this house that need the Holy Ghost listen to me listen to me some of your children need the Holy Ghost some some of your loved ones need need the Holy Ghost I'll just I just can I be honest and I'm just tell you will not go to heaven without it that's Bible so here's the thing when you pray now for those lost loved ones or those that don't have relationship with God they they may darken the doors of the church every week but without the Holy Ghost the trumpet sounds they don't have his spirit and so they're not going to be you can't you can't go so this is how you need to pray God y'all ready for it God break their will so that your will becomes theirs anybody remember that book years ago I'm not going to look over there cuz I'll get in trouble my wife read a book it's called the strong willed child not I'm not looking huh some some of y'all know what I'm talking about huh anybody here got a strong willed child I'm sorry any here got strong willed children see you don't you don't want to break their Spirit what you want to do is you want to direct their will now we us say all the time to our little girl we said tell her the baby one of these days that's going to pay off but right now it's not she she call it tenacity tenacity is nasty listen to me I I I want to see our altars full of children and young people and adults that are falling for him and saying God my I got to get this gone and repentance says I'm I'm sorry that Brokenness says I'm messed up I I want to use a word and I'm done it's called conviction what conviction does is says here's your will and here's God's which one's stronger thankfulness thankfulness When you pray you better add thankfulness in there as much as you can fill it up come on fill it up Sister Sister Keela brother Tim y'all have reminded us the last two weeks about things to be thankful for now Sister Keila when you get better at talking in front of people let me know okay tell she didn't write it down Tim had to write his down I I did like it though hallu stop I I love you I pray God that you you would confront their will and I pray God that you would speak Lord into their life and that the evidence of the Holy Ghost come out of them Lord but you've got to take that
