pray with me Lord today we love you and we thank you for your spirit thankful for truth today for the capacity Lord God that you give us to receive from you We Gather in this place Lord we have sung the songs of Zion we have prayed we have wept tears Lord we have raised our voice as we've clapped our hands all unto you Jesus because you're great and you are greatly to be praised now Lord we come to your word and we ask for there to be Liberty in the word today take holds from the altar Lord I pray touch these lips of clay I need you today we need you Lord the word is so vital to us today it is the lamp to our feet help us today oh God to walk in it Lord and to know you to have fellowship with you in this house speak to us God let us draw closer to you I rebuke the enemy in Jesus name today that would try to extract some I plead the blood of Jesus over every heart and every mind in this house devil you're a liar we serve notice to you now you may leave in the name of Jesus we midday Sun pounded down on the surface of the Earth the vegetation the soil anything else caught the Rays of the sunshine they were certain to receive the Wrath of the son and this environment the need for water was in every moment concerned for everyone knowing that water is one of the basic needs of humanity folk have to generally always make sure that water is not far from them humans livestock crops pretty much anything that has life anything that grows has to have moisture in order to feed the smallest pores of its life in this Wilderness that I'm speaking of an open space there came a man walking from that Wilderness seemed to be came out of a dream or at least out of a bad vision this particular man on this particular day was a man with a mission he was determined he was set in his mind when no one else had done up to this point in his historical accounts this man was going to do things I'm not sure if it could have been called simply because of his actions or the activities that were so strange but this particular man walked in this arid Place into town one day where he had found pools of water from past rains that had collected again in the dry Barren place a place where water stood a place where you could use it to satisfy the thirst of both both animal and beast in a harsh environment this man walks into scene with a purpose and a mission this was his word repent Heaven is coming repent Heaven is on its way it was kind of foolishness you know it was kind of loud it was kind of a commanding voice it it startled everybody that would hear it the yet the voice brought Shivers of of power and and goosebumpility if you will along the spine and on your skin why because there was no way possible to ignore the words of this wild man who came out of seemed like the Wilderness and yet he he had this Cloud around him of of unknown and people didn't really know what to think of him but everybody who heard him he would simply look at them and say turn from your Wicked Ways repent the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand we all know the man his name was John John had a mission some something had happened in in the life of John that he was in this Wilderness separated place that it completely transformed and changed his life that what thing that occurred in that particular date I gotta tell you it had never happened to anyone else up to that point but suffice it to say John was on another level he wore camel's hides if you will his clothes smelled bad probably if you will he ate things that maybe others would not eat but I've come to tell you today he became known as John the baptizer he knew the value of water hear this not only for water for his animals and for himself but he understood the value of water to have sins remitted and washed away the words that he used were piercing words the words that he used he would speak fiercely to those he even called some here Vipers I don't know where you came from but your daddy was a snake you're a snake and everybody in your generation to snake Stout words for a man that looks crazy to talk of course the truth be known some would probably go into the pool of baptism simply to cool off come on go help me I believe that that not everybody would have been at the purest of of intent but suffice it to say also my friend that when John began to preach repentance John began to tell him you got to be baptized that there was something that stirred in the waters of that then known time John he had heard so many things in the messages that he had rolled over in his mind while separated from all of humanity this message began to infiltrate him and everywhere he went he would respond I know what you need and I know how you need it you need to turn from your wicked ways and follow after the God of all of creation in that environment from this guy who came from who knows where this preacher that had with few words he simply convinced the multitudes of people to change their Wicked Ways and to turn and begin to walk after Heavenly future come today to tell you the writer of Matthew he inserted in his writings in the New Testament he mentioned this John came out of the Wilderness with a word in Matthew's gospel we can see also that the life of Jesus Christ is beginning to unfold at the beginning of the ministry of the wild man named John the baptizer the Bible tells us here that John he sees the revelation of the word of God that was branded into his heart and into his mind he begins to preach to anybody and everybody that would hear and the Waters of baptism were troubled day in and day out John was out there doing the work that the master had called him to do but the Bible tells us in Matthew chapter 3 verse number 13 you hear the preacher today then cometh Jesus From Galilee to Jordan unto John to be baptized of him 14 but John forbade him saying I have need to be baptized of thee thou cometh to me it's a question Jesus answering said unto him suffer it to to be so now for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness then he suffered him and Jesus when he was baptized went up straightway out of the water and lo the heavens were opened unto him he saw the spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting upon him and to a voice from Heaven saying this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased come today to declare to you John would be the one that would fulfill the prophetic word from the days of old John would be the one that would change Generations past present and future because when this Jesus was baptized he was completing prophetic words and the Bible says specifically the heavens open a voice speaks out so that everybody around could hear this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased knowing Jesus steps up out of the pool of baptism wipes the water from his brow the there was something that began to transpire in the then known world that Jesus now having complete the baptism procedure steps out and says I've come to put it all together y'all hang on to me for a moment in Matthew's account of these events we see that Jesus comes on the scene and he begins to teach and to preach like nobody else had ever done he begins to minister and to reach out to those who are around in fact the Bible declares to us at this point that Jesus began to call people to come and follow him y'all notice it in the story Matthew 4 17 from that time Jesus began to preach and to say repent same message for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand Jesus Verse 18 Walking By the Sea of Galilee saw two Brethren Simon called Peter Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea for they were Fishers he said unto them follow me and I'll make you Fishers of Men verse 20 and straightway they left their Nets followed him going on from fence he saw other two Brethren James a son of Zebedee and John his brother and a ship with Zeb is he their father meaning their Nets he called them and they immediately left the ship and their father and followed him do you all notice what is happening here in the story there are men that are well capable and well able to establish themselves in any community and Jesus comes on the scene he comes out of the water The Voice speaks and now Jesus is walking about you come with me you come with me you come with me you come with me and he's pointing to these people that he had already had contact with and he began to call them and said I'm going to make you a fisher of men what would it take for a man at that moment to literally drop everything in his life to turn to wash his hands of who he was unknown the future unknown tomorrow unknown how it would come together but simply say I will follow Jesus the Bible tells us here that there was another Rider the writer Luke for an example who exposed what would happen to these men he was the author of the book of Acts of the Apostles and in his words he wrote How The Holy Ghost came and that day and how the baptism of the Holy Ghost and Fire infiltrated humanity and it rested on them and they began to turn their world upside down Matthew describes what Jesus did as the followers y'all got to hear this preacher today on this Sunday listen to me Matthew 4 24 listen to what happened and his Fame went throughout all Syria they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments those which were possessed with Devils those which were lunatic those who had palsy he healed them and there followed him hear this great multitudes of people from Galilee to kopolis from Jerusalem I've come to bless I've come to worship because when you get Jesus in any situation Everything Changes I know I know Pastor needs help I see that in my mind I'm like Oh my Jesus is identifying with the very worst of humanity the fact is if it were you and I we would say you know what Jesus we're going to invite you to the Palace cameras like that him sitting there well when I really do you got Bible tells us explicitly it was multitudes of people came to Jesus I've come today to tell you that if you really want to be blessed and if you're really concerned about the blessing why don't you stop concerning yourself with the blessing and start concerning yourself with the bless follow what Jesus said come on this is the one that we all want to preach and teach about all day long comes out of Matthew chapter 5. sing the multitudes huh he went up into a mountain when he was set his disciples came to him he opened his mouth and he taught he was set again I got the wrong brain I see him sitting around a little nice table like an ESPN table you know he set cameras on you got all these guys in there checking test one two you look good he said he's going to teach y'all ready for it huh this is what he said blessed are the millionaires now hold on a minute blessed are those who have a good job blessed are those who got their act together come on see y'all read this in Sunday School you we we call them what one voice ready call it the Beatitudes my grannies say that's the way your attitude need to be okay granny but y'all listen to this listen to the preaching that Jesus gave blessed are the pouring spirit blessed are they that mourn blessed blessed are the meek blessed are they which do hunger and thirst for righteousness blessed are the merciful blessed are the pure in heart blessed are the peacemakers blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake blessed are ye when men shall revile you and persecute you shall say o manner of evil against you falsely for my name's sake come to declare on this Sunday afternoon the poor in spirit theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven they that mourn they shall be comforted they that are Meek they shall inherit the earth they which do hunger and thirst for righteousness they will be filled and that are merciful shall obtain Mercy they that are pure in heart they'll shall see God they that are peacemakers shall be called the children of God those who are persecuted for righteousness is sake theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven I've come to tell somebody on this Sunday afternoon that if you'll understand what Jesus ministry was all about the blessings that you and I received today they are not based upon what you have they're not based upon what you can do they're not based upon your intelligence your education nor the size of your wallet they are simply blessed on the fact that you are broken busted beat up messed up you have done the wrong thing for the wrong reasons but the blood of Jesus comes in Ethan and washes away sin the blood of Jesus Vandy comes in and puts you on the right track so I'm going to ask you again is there anybody in this room blessed if you are blessed indeed then you need to look backwards to where you came from some of you in this room listening to me some of you online watching right now your life has been full of drugs heartache problems broken home broken marriage messed up decisions choices that were wrong you filed bankruptcy 100 times nobody trusts you you can't even trust yourself it is you it is you Jesus came for there are some of you right now I could walk straight to you grab your hand and ask you what were you before Jesus and in your mind you would stand and I dare say with tears on your face you would begin to explain to me pastor I had a drug habit that drove me into the ground thou killed me some of you would say I was cheating on this I was lying about that I was taken from this I was taken from that some of you would even say up till recently I battle this I battle that I battle the other thing but then you're reminded blessed are those blessed are those blessed are those who understand the broken the bruise the whipped the lie to the depressed the Hopeless the doing wrong the following lies and heartache but something happened and blessings begin to enter into your life because Jesus Christ came he changed you he washed you he remitted your sin he set you on the straight and narrow and he said if you will follow me I will make you a testimony and you'll become a fisher of men there is no way that Peter there's no way that James there's no way that these men who follow Jesus could ever defy the fact that Jesus came in and reached for them in their lowest moment there's no way any of us would have ever chosen Peter no way no way least of all I would not have chosen Paul wouldn't have done it dudes killing church folk throwing them in jail ain't no no way you run from Saul get away from him get away from him Andrew the zealots on you any of these guys I wouldn't have picked them but when I look at their lives brother Rob I look at mine because I sure enough wouldn't have picked me but today I'm blessed today I church he is allowing us to see with our own eyes that the blessings of the Lord came with a great price that was pain on the cross of calvary blessed are we listen to this Matthew again in his writing notice the final response of these broken people Matthew 7 and 28 look what it says it came to past when Jesus ended these sayings come on you'll know Matthew 5 and 6 said to seven that's all in red that's Jesus's story on the mount right y'all with it so that's Jesus talking talking talking then when you get back to the the black text that's where it changes back over here we are came to pass Jesus ended these sayings the people were astonished at this Doctrine his Doctrine for he taught them listen to this as one having Authority but not a foreign not as the scribes the scribes were the ones that wrote down laws they wrote Downs they wrote down what they saw but when Jesus just opened his mouth they said this dude got Authority he not telling double takes he's not talking out of in your life I've come to tell somebody this world is full of scribes people that are trying to tell you the a b and c but if you'll ever recognize that when Jesus begins to speak the multitudes will be astonished now I never heard anything like it before I never heard anything I should be the one that's nailed to the cross but instead Jesus came in he forgive gave me on my sins I have been made new I'm amazed at the fact that Matthew said they were so astonished at his teaching because he had Authority but the Scribe didn't come on y'all theologians in here y'all understand the job of the Scribe sometimes I I have to pray I'll just tell you sometimes Dakota I just got to pray Lord let me write down what you tell me and what I study but don't ever let me forget the spirit of what you let me write you see what's happened in our world today y'all hear the preaching I'm almost done there's so many religious Folk have come up with a scribe that will write what folk want to hear the somebody on this Sunday if you are blessed if you are blessed then you've got something to tell about the power of the word of God that has come into your life and changed you the power that in your Brokenness in your bruise to life in the messed up decisions and choices you made that the Lord God's come in and he's speaking into you therefore when you stand at your workstation but when you sit at your desk on your job or when you walk down the aisles of any store there is an anointing that comes with you because you once were lost because you once were blind because you were bruised broken beat up and you were messed up but the word of God came in began to work in you now I asked you just a few moments ago anybody here blessed is there anybody here blessed laughs if you're blessed and you've got to identify not only with the blessings but with the reason you got your blessings you don't know like I know What the Lord Has Done For Me you don't know like I know what he's done for me you don't know like I know what he's done for me I don't know like how you know What the Lord Has Done For You I'm blessed I was broken and I was bruised I was battered I was beat up I had messed up I'd made wrong choices Pride was eating me up lies and all the stuff but Jesus said come on come on I'm gonna make you a fisher of men you come with your Brokenness you bring all the bruising you bring all the messed up life you got you bring it I'm gonna make you a fisher of me and you listen to this preacher today I would much rather be a voice from the Lord God than a scribe that simply pins a word and says this is probably a decent idea no my friend no I want to know what it feels like to be up under the blessing of almighty God therefore I've got to understand him in the power of his resurrection but also in the fellowship of the suffering I've got to understand that an altar is still the place that I can come and pour out my heart that an altar is still the place that I can ask forgiveness of wrongdoings that I can still plead the blood of Jesus over my future over my past and over where I am right now the altar is still a place of sacrifice of killing something putting it there and allowing the odor of it to ascend into the nostrils of the holy God the altar is still the place where I can decide I and blessed staying with me everybody in this room we are blessed in this message that Jesus was talking to the multitudes he set himself in place the disciples came he opened his mouth he began to teach him all these folk that were busted up bruised beating and all of that they're now standing there hoarding their hole they're healed and they're standing here looking at Jesus what's going on here come on you see the story in Matthew 5 and 6 read it it's blessed are the poor in spirit God said that was me that was me yours is the kingdom of heaven blessed are they that mourn it's me that's me you'll be comforted blessed are the meek I don't know what to say or do I don't have words to put around it you're going to inherit the earth if you're hungry and thirst for righteousness I want to do right I want to be but I don't know how I'm not sure how it's done you're going to be filled blessed are the merciful trying my best to have patience and have mercy on somebody those are the ones that will obtain Mercy the poor in heart the pure in heart they will see God peacemakers shall be called the children of God those persecuted for righteousness is sake theirs is the kingdom of heaven are you in this room today are you willing to look past what the scribes would have written what should have been done what should have been accomplished are you willing to say I am more blessed than anything because of the authority of his word and who he is this altar is open right now for anybody and everybody that will pray come on some of you right now you need to bring a great big old sacrifice you've got and you need to get to this Altar and you need to lay it down and say Lord I'm not sure how it's going to work all I know is I'm messed up all I know is my past haunts me all I know is this all I know is that all I know Lord is it appears that I've may become an oracle of the Lord come on pre come on somebody pray reach to him come on let's try and reach to him lift your hand to him I'm blessed not because of what I've got not because of my material possessions not because of the things that I've been able to acquire the blessings are not that Lord the blessings are Lord I was broken I was messed up my life and you gave me the promise oh come on that's right come on recognize who you are you need him in your life oh come on somebody identify with him I know who I was Lord the things that could have destroyed me the things that should have destroyed me but you came Lord I am hey oh come on get right with God right now come on get your heart with God come on connect with the Lord I need you in my life I need your glory Lord in my life come on reach over why don't you go pray for somebody else come on let the Holy Ghost use you today let the Holy Ghost use you today reach out to someone else and pray with them come on in the
