Build Revival Ep #1

hope you have a bible tonight we're going to read all of it at least most of it if you'll turn genesis one and one in the beginning some of y'all have an appointment afterwards man i lost you i mean you're not even giving it a chance all right we won't do that we are though going into of course did anybody enjoy sunday's service wasn't that good wasn't that wonderful brother and sister hewling did great job i'm looking forward to continuance of those services for knowing just for knowing i will be teaching tonight and next wednesday night on this topic of revival and then we have josh campbell from murfreesboro will be with us he's their outreach coordinator and director uh he is directly connected to their growth that they've been having over the last couple of years so i invited him to come and speak to us on revival and then the last wednesday night uh brother tim rimmer will be with us handy-dandy and he's going to be talking on how to work in the altar all right so we're trying to uh build that's our topic for the year to build um up to now if you'll have if you'll remember january we we build by dedicating ourselves to the lord anybody remember that we took time to connect with god 21 days we went through prayer in the word devotions blogs did some fasting that was in january february we transitioned to rebuild by giving several aspects of of the act of giving talked about that also then in march we build by building our families how many love your family look around look around make sure that they're raising their hand all right the camera's on too all right uh and then of course in april building the church brother sam did a great job of leading the study on how that we are different but yet we work together in teams right this month of course the month of may we are building for revival everybody say revival everybody say revival revival this past sunday we started with brother hewling being with us and he reminded us that victory comes victory remains once the storm has happened once the trouble has happened once the things happen in your life god is still god and he's still on the throne that ought to excite every one of us because in revival we are reminded of those things uh over the next several weeks we'll be we will be discussing some of the how to's and the whys of revival why is it important why is it important to to to reach out to our neighbors why is it important to see new babes born into the kingdom it's not new revival is very old concept if you will but hear what i'm saying tonight revival my friend is a state of mind a constant continuing of growth and managing where you are for forward motion right the desire that says lord i want you to keep your spirit fresh and alive in me in our church in our community say revival we're going to begin with mark chapter 16. mark chapter 16 verse 17. now these are very familiar to you if you'll notice these words are in red so in your king james version red letter edition these would be the words of jesus these signs shall follow them that believe you guys read this out loud with me you ready in my name shall they cast out devils come on help me guys they shall speak with new tongues they shall take up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them they shall lay hands on the sick they shall recover these words are signs to believers right these signs will follow those who believe now question very simple what does it mean to believe something what does it mean to believe accept what else to believe something trust it yes what else can't hear have faith in it certainly what else to believe what's that mean convinced of the truth of whatever it is to believe in right anyone else all in sure what else okay question this way what do you believe in right now do you believe for an example that you are the richest man in america well we have one that believes it oh i got you brother gibson kind of wonders he was trying to answer the way his wife wanted him to because she kept looking at him going keep believing keep believing anybody here believe that you're the most handsome person to ever be born there's a pole here in the way i can't see past it's a good thing right seth to believe in something is in indeed that trust confidence beyond shadow of a doubt that whatever said thing is is truth now those who truly believe according to what the red letter edition here is those who truly believe in the power of the name of jesus those who truly believe in the power and the blood of jesus those who truly believe in the power in the purpose of jesus jesus made this comment he said in my name these things will happen now understand where we are tonight first we have to realize and understand that the great things that god has in store for his body of believers is he allows us to use his name if you have the name of jesus in your life through your life coming out of your mind coming out of your mouth if you have the name of jesus you hold literally in your possession all the greatest power this world has ever known there's never been a man like jesus aren't you thankful knowing that as people of the name then we have to understand something friend and that is when we pray for revival we pray for it in the name of jesus amen when you're fasting or when you're spending extra time in prayer you better make sure that you are doing it in the name of jesus we have here in the book of mark in the red letter edition that you just saw taking up serpents speaking with tongues casting out devils drink deadly stuff it won't hurt you lay hands on the sick those are some pretty monumental things don't you agree okay so for tonight's lesson if you will i need a volunteer that will take up a serpent any volunteers some some of y'all ain't even breathing right now you're like oh lord we don't win kentucky didn't we i don't have a snake in it well i don't think i have a snake in here now we do have two back doors we have two front doors as well there's there's some indication here that there are some very powerful things that will be accomplished in the name of jesus listen carefully this month we're talking about revival people in the name of the name of jesus we have to be reminded many many times about the power and the purpose of that name is there anybody in this room that prays for revival lift a hand identified do you pray for revival and you young folk pray for revival none of the young folk do well thanks for being here here's here's the fact of the matter if you're praying for revival do you really know what you are praying for what are you praying for when you pray for revival anyone what are you praying for praying for new babes in christ yes what else a move of god what else an outpouring of the spirit of god certainly the holy ghost someone else what are you when you're praying for revival lord let us have revival lord send us revival lord give us revival what indeed are you praying for souls new babes a renewing say hang with me a minute here's the question why do you have to pray for that shouldn't the very fact that you are full of the holy ghost baptized in the name of jesus shouldn't that be enough for you to determine within yourself you know what i've got everything i need i am victorious let's go forward shouldn't that simply be enough technically speaking it should i mean here's the question does anybody here have the holy ghost now you can identify yeah here's the question is there more holy ghost that you need so does the holy ghost have dimensions does it have a place how deep is the holy ghost the spirit of god has anyone ever reached the bottom how wide is it has anyone ever discovered the left or the right how high is it has anyone ever discovered the altitude of it now here's my point we believe when we receive the gift of the holy ghost that we receive the spirit of god living in us agreed so my question is this is there more spirit of god to fill you or should you have simply more faith to believe for more revelation of god because as you mature what do you discover god's faithful god he's just right he just does things so good you struggle you fall flat of your face you pray for strength god comes in picks you up and in your mind you say you lord you know what lord i i know it was you an example many times from the podium or from this microphone of the singers somebody will say come on let's worship the lord is that appropriate yes let's exalt him what does it mean to exalt him lift up very good now isn't he everywhere how then do we lift him higher but why isn't he everywhere where are you trying to get him where he is not lord i'm going to lift you up because you're not there yet he's like man i was here before you was thought of the point is not to lift him up the point is to what for us to recognize his position is that okay understand many times we can we can get sidetracked with revival and i know me myself i've prayed for revival lord we want revival this is the way i pray lord send us revival anybody else so how does it come i check the mail every day ups fedex dhl is that how he sends it well he could yeah i mean but what is he how does he send revival is this okay stay with me stay with me how does he send it through his spirit what else through the word what else to an evangelist okay here's my point i know some of y'all think that maybe you're part of the choir and i'm simply preaching to the choir but listen what i'm saying so many times we pray for revival and we have no clue what we're asking for because what we're asking for is for god to renew something in us hear this and in order for him to renew something in us the prayer that we just pray god send us revival lord we want revival the lord may say fine i'll give you revival but you've got to turn loose of your doubt you need to get rid of that fear you need to stop living the lie is this okay the fact is is revival that this is very cool who is affected by the praying for revival those who are praying it trying to understand it trying to comprehend it why is it that we are always searching and praying for revival when actually it might be that we simply need to change the way we pray we might need to pray lord let us have the power to accept what's already there hear me if you have a testimony that people need to hear about what god has done in your life guess what you need to do you simply just need to tell somebody that testimony what do you think is going to happen what's going to take place if you share your witness you'll be an overcomer by the word of your testimony you'll overcome what doubt and fear and question listen the more you talk about the goodness of the lord the more you recognize the blessings of the lord the more then you don't have to pray for revival you simply have to say lord let there be outpouring of your spirit come on i'm convinced listen to preacher for a moment i'm convinced any given sunday let's use this past sunday for an example there was enough spirit of god in this room to heal cancer to raise the dead to heal aids and anything else of disease and infirmity anybody believe that why didn't it happen anyone i'll ask it very simply this way how many wheelchairs were here sunday is that okay how many people had cancer that was here sunday listen to me what can happen especially in the generation in the culture to where we are notice that the terminology used here in mark was before he said these things were going to happen somebody tell me what it said in verse number 16. go and preach when you go and preach this is what's going to happen so everybody here is going to say then all right preacher go if that were the case then the majority of folk would simply decide within themselves well i'm not a preacher so guess what i don't have to go and if that's the case we can wonder even greater of why the church is only this big instead of this big because then everybody would simply do this instead of doing what he's telling folk to do when he said to go and preach what was he telling them to preach the gospel what is the gospel the good news of of jesus death burial resurrection stay with me guys if this is the case his kingdom his power his will for all of humanity if a person can believe on that plan then they can live in continuous belief that jesus's words will be fulfilled if we can believe that he has issues and things that he wants us to work through so that we can have the victory then you and i every single day can arise from our sleep and we can call on the name of the lord god and we can realize that if he's in control the reviving we need is the remembering we need of what he has already done and what his promise is i'll ask it this way is anybody here still believe in heaven isn't that his promise has anyone seen heaven has anyone ever been to heaven anybody no but what we have is a promise therefore what do we do we live our lives according to what eye has not seen and ear has not heard and we follow that with all the faith to believe god you've got a place that you've prepared for me what begins to happen the problem if you will give me a moment again we are now in the month of may we're talking about building for revival the problem is that many times in our daily walk day in and day out we stumble and we realize just how frail we are and in our humanity and in our frailty listen we take our eyes off of jesus and we begin to sink in the surrounding storm of life around us we then begin to cry out lord we want revival we want renewed what the fisherman said was what i'm sinking and i need a hand to lift me what did he say to him can't you just just believe this now revival ready for it i know some of you probably already have seried this revival by definition is a renewed attention to or an interest in something as a church when we pray for revival what we are in fact simply doing is we are asking for god to renew the desire within us to see the heavenly things that he has promised to happen in front of our eyes should the desire to see god work be the paramount purpose in our lives huh i'll be honest with you many times when we pray for revival we really are not certain of what that actually means and we confuse revival with we want to see new babes born or we want to see outsiders come in or we want to see our altars full i'm convinced my friend by the word of god that if we as the children of god will put god in his proper place that the world around us will see what is going on and they will want more of it and they'll walk through the doors to say i have no idea why i'm here but something's drawing me to this place is there an occasion in our lives to allow the things of god to grow dim are there times in our lives that where we're permitted to say you know what lord i'm just not on as as on fire as i used to be now the truth is you know we all can't live up in the clouds forever can we my granny used to say very very notedly don't want to be so heavenly minded you're no earthly good there are folk like that they just kind of drift around in the cloud but listen to me carefully please 1734 through 1743 the first revival of historic significance broke out in northampton massachusetts there was a young preacher by the name of jonathan edwards after months of fruitless labor he reported five or six people were converted one was a young woman and she wrote this she'd been one of the greatest company keepers in the whole town he feared for her conversion would douse the flame but quite the opposite took place 300 people were converted in six months in the town of 1100 people all because of the news of what happened to her began to spread like wildfire and similar revivals broke out in philadelphia 1739 george whitefield anybody heard of him he was a preacher that struck out to under this undertaking of i want to reach my country in an estimated 80 percent of america's 900 000 people in that particular day according to history it says that he preached he preached to almost 80 percent of them revival 1730s the 1800s to 1840 only one in 15 of americans in the population of 5.3 million at that time belonged to an evangelical church but there was a minister named james mcgrady presided over a strange spiritual manifestation in logan county kentucky the resulting camp meeting revivals drew thousands from as far as ohio a reverend gardner spring reported that for the next 25 years not a single month passed without news of revival someplace else in 1824 the famous charles finney began a career that would eventually convert over half a million to jesus unparalleled 100 000 converted in rochester new york in 1831 alone causing the revival to spread to some 1500 towns by 1850 the nation's population exploded four-fold to 23 million people but for those who were connected to those evangelical churches at that point it jumped from seven percent of the population to 13 percent in just a few years hang on to me a moment in the year of 1906 william j seymour an african-american holiness pastor were blind in one eye he went to los angeles to try out for a pastoring job in a church there after he preached first sermon he was locked out he was not allowed to back in the building so he began prayer meetings at a nearby home and it was called the second blessing many things began to happen eventually the interracial crowds became so large that they had to go into a 312 azusa street building to hold meetings and for over three years every single day they had at least one church service the explosion of worldwide apostolic movement started at that point and began to grow i just gave you three examples of somebody wanting something more to understand about god there are some things tonight i want to talk to us about if you want to write them down it'd be great every revival that has happened since the 1740s there has been something that has tipped the scale in 1857 businessmen took off into prayer 1906 was called the interracial revival common themes were simply this there were characteristics that happened that began these moves of the spirit first characteristic was this the timing everybody say timing revivals emerge during times of spiritual and moral decline which leads to more intense prayer are we ready for revival in this today the second characteristic of revival is prayer everybody say prayer god puts a longing in the hearts of very large crowds to pray for renewing are we ready for revival characteristic number three the word everybody say the word the preaching and the readying of god's word brings a conviction and a desire for people to want to know jesus timing prayer the word ready for number four characteristic the holy ghost the holy spirit takes people into a spiritual depth that they cannot achieve on their own everybody say the holy ghost characteristic number five of revival through the years is conviction everybody say conviction i want to pause on this one for just a moment if you will let me affected sinners are inconsolable except in jesus conviction this is probably one of the 10 characteristics of revival that i paused the longest at because conviction is what works things out of people when was the last time you looked into somebody's face or into their eyes and you saw that they were deeply convicted for the sin and the lifestyle they were living is this an okay question because here is what typically happens there are people that come through the doors of our church or any other church in america if you will or across the globe and they come in and they hear their singing they participate in the worship because this part's real easy but when the word of god is preached the power to convict them kind of stalls at an altar and for whatever reason the words come from a preacher and they kind of shake to the altar and then the heart of man hasn't heard it and accepted the fact that they are going to a devil's hell unless they make a change there is no way to console that conviction except the blood of jesus christ so i ask you again if one of the characteristics of revival is conviction how do we need to pray as a church god let there be conviction in the word let there be conviction through worship let there be conviction through the power of prayer let there be conviction lord that will change the hearts and the minds of people and they will discover very quickly the only way to fulfill the longing and the hurt and the pain inside is to let the blood of jesus touch them somebody needs to pray for the convicting power of the word of god and the spirit of god to move in our church conviction how many times do an outright worthless sinner let's call them worthless saint let's call them whatever you want to dial it could walk into the presence of god and within mere moments feel the power of god move but they can shake it very quickly i ask you again my friend do you want revival then we need to pray god let there be conviction make it more lord than just a goosebump experience but let it be heartfelt conviction that drives them to the face that drives them to an altar that says there's no other way that i'll feel released from this until the spirit of god touches and changes my life i will tell you friend my story is very short and sweet but at the ripe young age of 11 i received the baptism of the holy ghost i spoke in tongues it took monday night of junior high camp tuesday night of junior high camp and finally on wednesday night is when i finally broke through the first two nights i screamed squalled and i i if you will sweat it to death at an altar on holiness hill and it wasn't until that wednesday night service that i finally determine within myself if i don't make a change if something doesn't happen i laid in my bed on monday night and tuesday night and barely slept afraid that i'd die before i could receive the wonderful gift of the holy ghost i was convinced that heaven was tomorrow and when that dear old wonderful saint brother miller 70-plus white-haired man came up to me and i'm squalling and spitting and snotting in the altar he simply reached over next to me and said stop praying young man and i'm soaking wet from the tears or from the sweat snot running everywhere and he looked me in the eye raised up my chin and he said do you want the holy ghost and i said yes he said do you believe you can receive the holy ghost and i paused until you are convinced that the conviction that you're feeling is enough to save you you won't be able to do you believe it's for you yes i do receive it and within two minutes i was speaking in tongues let me tell you what happened i discovered something in those first couple nights i know i was a young man i didn't know what was going on but i years later i discovered what was happening was i was not allowing the conviction of the spirit to do the work that it needed to do i felt the shame and the reproach of a sinful life but i was holding on to it hoping that somehow it would be an easy transition and i could simply hand him my sin and he would hand me his spirit but it's not that way because he is only close to those of a broken heart a broken and contrite spirit and until you're willing to break through conviction salvation will be far from you characteristic number six glory for god everybody say glory for god god receives praise honor and glory for bringing the revival it didn't come through the music through the singers to the preaching but it came through god's spirit working in the channels of those who are hungry for god to renew his spirit in the church and to be a revelation to those outside the walls glory for god number seven characteristic for revival reformation and renewal say that reformation and renewal revival produces lasting fruit new ministries are founded society experiences a reform of morals as more and more people have their lives changed we pray constant don't we here for our city and for our nation i'm convinced revival will fix the majority of that i'm convinced that renewing and reformation deciding god i'm just going to allow you to work in my life the fact of the matter is revival is not easy revival will cost you revival has a price tag characteristic number eight of revival manifestations say that with me manifestations manifestations like groaning in prayer miracles signs culture demonstrating itself things happening in the demonic realm manifestations of god's spirit working in the hearts and the lives of people now i'm sure that many of you younger ones don't truly understand where pastor comes from and and i know that i'm probably the crazy guy but in my lifetime true worship and true honor to the lord god was very evident as a child because i saw it in those around me i saw it in my grandmother shouting circles in an altar because one of her children came to the house of god i saw it in my dad laying on the ground shouting and rolling in the aisle i saw it in my uncle rolling and assaulted us under a tent meeting i saw it in in the miracles and the things that happened as a boy sleeping under the pew of the church afraid to death to crawl out from under that pew because somebody would step on me as a young man the prayer in the in the all-night prayer meetings and hours and hours praying and and i'm a recipient of that and i've seen that and then when i went to the mission field we saw things but i'm not here today to simply remind myself of that stuff i am still declaring there is revival and a move of god but it will only happen when we allow ourselves to truly be renewed in the spirit of god he will manifest himself characteristic number nine listen carefully a revival is messy everybody say messy revivals are very messy controversies will swirl about people will point fingers what about the miracles that's not a miracle there are abuses going on there's excess going on there's suspicions going on there's going to be a theological dispute that that doesn't happen anymore and you're going to have people question you are you sure this is true are you sure this is what god has said we have a phenomenon that has happened in our culture and in our generation we're in the year of 2022. but you can see on any youtube video go in there and type revival search for move of god search for things and you'll see it all over our country and even all over the world that there are things happening in churches even in our city you can see the moving of the spirit and people are shouting and worshiping and loving god and lifting up the name of the lord god and there are controversies around that and even we ourselves as apostolics what can we do we are as guilty of standing and crossing our arms and saying yeah but i'm as guilty as the rest of us and many times i wonder lord am i going to miss the end time revival because i'm looking for a certain way or a certain place or a certain thing will i miss it i have come to decide within myself that if indeed revival is messy then there are going to be some things that are going to be controversial through it but i'm ready i can look the devil in the eye and put him in his place right through the spirit of god the greatest challenge though that you and i have is looking our neighbor in the eye and putting them in their place because we don't want to have to live many times under that stigma has anybody been called a holy roller lately anybody been called a jesus freak lately anybody said of you oh you're one of them lately huh revival's messy number 10 characteristic of revival it is cyclical it comes in cycles there are seasons to revival there are times when it ascends and there are times when it falls there are times when people are on the wave if you will and and then there's times when it it declines come on does anybody else look around on sundays and and look at the faces of people in the church maybe see if your friend's here or your your family members here and just wonder where they are yeah i do i count my wife and i count and i have somebody that counts for me and then we have a list that comes to us through the text that tells us who didn't show up at church that should be here and then my wife and she passes that along to to the connect leaders and then they try and they're you know there's a system that we put into place what i've come to tell you is this my friend revival will come when we're ready but revival revival will leave when we forget about it i don't know if anybody else is in the same boat as i am but i'm ready for a god appointed and god declared revival the fasting that many of us did last week why did you do that what were you trying to accomplish what does it do for you when you fast besides make you really hungry what does it do more what sensitive to the spirit why it's just fasting because flesh all of a sudden faces a obstacle or is anybody else different from me now i'll just be honest when i was younger 25 years ago it wasn't an issue at all to fast i could do it five six eight days at a time didn't care for it but my body was fine with it now that i'm older and i'm wiser i struggle harder with it am i being too transparent huh i have to hide my watch and turn the phone off and cover the clock lord what time is it now it's just 902 sun just barely come up lord jesus where's sunset huh some of you may not know what i'm talking about because you don't fast you're not willing to allow yourself to go through something to see something else some of you have fasted in depth and you wonder why hasn't the answer happened some of you have a regiment of fasting once a week once every two week once a month whatever yours is you have that relationship with god then you've got to decide lord if i'm doing that then i am going to give myself to prayer and believing that there will be fruit from that the worst thing about fasting is being hungry and forgetting the reason you may know the story of jesus when he was beginning his ministry where did he go he went away so that he could fast some 40 days he didn't eat or drink or anything like that nobody ever done a 40 day no food or water or anything you'd die probably after about three or four days without water i mean technically your body needs water i've known guys that have done i know one gentleman did 50 days on poweraid 50 days 50 days he drank powerade every day he would wake up every morning he told me he would fix breakfast for his family he would clean up the dishes and put him away every day 50 days an elder preacher came to him and said if jesus didn't do it you better be careful it wasn't long after that that he backslid i don't know if it's connected i do know this when you fast you better have god involved in it when we want revival we better make sure god's in it i want it to be more than a show i want there to be such a passion and a desire for god to move that we're willing to go through whatever it is that god has in store the timing the prayer of the word the spirit conviction the glory the reformation manifestation the messiness of it the cycle of it i want us to understand truly that god wants us to have a renewing anybody know the history of the city of chattanooga according to the oneness message if you don't know it it would behoove you to spend some time doing your own research this city has been well known throughout the ages to have a move of god in it church of god assembly of god church of god of christ church of god prophecy church god of cleveland and go through several of the church of gods one god jesus name and things begin to transition in those churches you can ask them they'll tell you things begin to shift and transition i wonder friend if we don't talk about god if we don't pray for his spirit to move if we don't try to have revival and do everything that we have to do to position ourselves to do so is it true that god will simply go away my greatest fear for our generation is is that god will look for somebody who is willing to stand in the gap and it may not be me this is not a doom and gloom lesson tonight this is a simple lesson to simply remind us that we we build for revival the reason we have an evangelist come in because that's a voice from outside that god can use to bring a word an outside word to renew us but i'm convinced that we can see the manifestation of the spirit of god because he has already said go preach and this is what will happen go do it to all the nations and this is what will transpire so i'll ask it this way and my landing gear is coming down is anybody in here hungry for revival you can lift your hand stand with me please if not don't stand but if you are lord i want to i want something to happen i could stand right here right now and i can tell you there are sicknesses and diseases that need to be healed and they will be healed when we position ourselves in a posture of prayer there are backsliders that need to come home and they will come home when we accept the position of the father and stand reaching for them there are souls as i said last week there are souls sitting in this city tonight that have no idea what's about to hit them but somebody throughout the years has been praying for them and tonight they may be in a drug house or on a bar stool or who knows where but there's a drawing that's happening because when the people of god pray for renewing god will again touch the church in the darkest hour that we are in right now friend i don't know about you there's a world out there that's now decided you know what and please i'm not being political here i'm just going to tell you when the roe versus wade thing if that does indeed happen we better be careful we better watch out that's not a fearful warning that is simply a warning because then the finger's going to come to you what do you believe how do you stand and if you can't give an account for the human life of an infant what are you going to do and it might come to fisticuffs i sure hope it doesn't but i'll declare it right now i am thankful i am so thankful that my wife and i did not believe in aborting a baby because i have two great kids today could say what you want well it's just our culture it's just our world then i pray revival for our world a renewing of conviction and principles listen that's just one thing that i'm telling you about we've got a war going on over in europe that if you'll notice the last few days it's almost been forgotten why because people jumped on board prayed prayed prayed and things said 60 plus days later here we are looking for that next something that's human nature cycle if we want revival when's it going to come pastor i don't know but it might be a wave and if it's a wave that simply comes in a short spurt i want to make sure that we're on top of that wave in the holy ghost saying god help us to be where we need to be how we need to do it what we need to do to see it happen let us have a right spirit and attitude towards it let us embrace the fact lord that sinners are praying through and that saints are becoming better people because we have fallen asleep in this hour or we have dropped the ball in this hour but i'm ready for revival it is 801 on wednesday night is there anybody in the house that will declare i will go to that altar and i will spend some time in prayer asking god for a genuine renewal a genuine renewal in my mind and in my spirit is there anybody that will come to an altar tonight spend some time in prayer and decide you know what i'm tired of playing church hear me i'm tired of waiting for the next youth convention or the next famous or something this or the next unit of this or the next event for that i'm coming to an altar god because i want revival in my heart and in my home come on is there anybody hungry for revival that will come to an altar and declare thus says the word of the lord i will believe it i will trust you for it god come on somebody needs to pour out your heart before the lord right now come on find an altar bow your knee lift your hands open your heart lord i'm believing you for great things lord i'm trusting you for revival jesus i don't want it to pass me by i don't want it to get close lord and to turn and take another path but lord jesus i know that revival can be messy i know things can happen i know lord jesus that there can be difficulties and trials god of challenges trying to decide what to turn loose up and what to get a hold of but lord tonight i am praying with my church family i am believing you lord for great things i am going to worship my way into a place where i can receive from you i'm going to lord god praise myself into position lord that revival can touch my life and my heart jesus i want to see new babies born into the kingdom receiving the gift of the holy ghost sins washed away renewing them god letting them speak with new tongues as the spirit gives them utterances lord jesus i desire healing and miracles lord in manifestations of your spirit god in our church in our church family come on challenge you do some homework some reading on your own there's a time in history called the reformation anybody hear tell of that religion had become this the form the the gestures the gestures the the way they did it the concepts of having church but uh one of the preachers if you will decide that something is definitely wrong his job if you'll do your homework was to go and collect taxes from the small farmers and so forth so that they could bring that money into the storehouse and in doing so they built this enormous enormous city called basilica it was in that reformation where one guy decided you know what i've got 95 different points that i have ought against this and i realize that i'm gonna die but um i gotta speak up so history tells us he went to church that morning and instead of going about his business to work he nailed his 95 thesis his points on the door now history also tells us that he was smart enough to make several copies of it before and sent to all of his friends because he knew he would probably be killed but he was willing to die for that we call it the reformation the reforming of mindset and principles and mentalities so here we are now 2022 to repeat that kind of reformation would be impossible really because well number one is we have a glass door on our church silly right they didn't have the outpouring of the holy ghost like we have now we carry the lord everywhere don't we but what i will declare is this lord if the former and the latter are going to come together and if joel 2 is right and axe is right in the last days i will pour out of my spirit upon part of the flesh what's that how in the world is that even possible if it's going to happen then we better get ourselves in the position for the revival anybody believe the bible's a lie i believe it's true therefore our daily prayer remember i asked you first of those on sunday i mean he will add 15 minutes prayer however that works for you to pray for revival that's how i'm praying it now god i pray us into a position to receive like we never have before i pray lord this is my prayer lord i pray that there will be such supernatural move that i will not even know what to do with it but my spirit will confirm it is literally the voice of god from the throne room i pray that when the preacher preaches on sundays that that word doesn't die on sunday night but that it resonates throughout everything we do monday through saturday my prayer is is that with joy with expectancy we come into the house of the lord and we declare we won't just play church we won't just have church as usual but i'm going to come early i'm going to be found in an altar i'm going to be found in the prayer room i'm going to be found lord doing your will i'm not coming in on two wheels hoping that i make it but i'm going to get there in time so that i can connect with you come on the church that you and i call the apostolic church and our generation was born over a table in a restaurant with a napkin no it wasn't how was it born in a prayer meeting topeka kansas when young gladys started speaking in tongues and the rest of the young people there went bad prayer when the teacher came back from christmas break and said what had happened somebody said she was and this and that and since then those and these and those it was from that meeting of prayer that god breathed on humanity i'm convinced that this revival in our day is going to come as people connect with god i want you right now before we go home it's 8 13 we've got a couple minutes grab a hold of somebody come on don't make it convenient get out of your spot get out of your spot this is called a sacrifice this is called investing get out of your spot go get somebody come on if you grab the one next to you it's too convenient come on you need to do a sacrifice you need to make a change right now now pray now pray right now god of glory we want a move of your spirit let there be power and demonstration lord i don't want to simply play church god but i want to be found doing your will lord oh come on pray for your neighbor right now god use them in the gifts lord jesus help them to realize the glory lord and the anointing that rest upon the church in this hour we build lord for revival we trust you for an outpouring help us oh god to have faith to believe you lord jesus for the supernatural give us lord the boldness we need to speak and open our mouths i pray for it o god that you would renew lord the burden and the passion and desire within each one of us to see lord god your glory breathed into the church today in jesus name come on call their name out to the lord god give him personal revival god i pray lord that you would speak to them in the name of jesus let the glory of the lord reign around them lord upon them and in them and through them come on somebody pray for it in faith i'm trusting you for it god great things great things that to be an expectancy a holy ghost to expectancy lord that you are going to move mountains you are going to bring the backslider home you are god going to save the lost you are jesus going to move god and forgive sins in the hearts and lives of sinners i pray for it in the name of jesus now give him thanks in advance for it god we receive it we claim it we believe you for it we glorify you we exalt you we lift up your name we magnify your name we glorify your name you are worthy you are worthy you are worthy you are high and lifted up thy kingdom come thy will be done we're trusting you for it oh god we're
