I realized today in this crowd that there are probably a handful of you that do everything correctly if that's you please keep your hand down you'll make us mad there are times in our lives when we have it all together could you at least nod your head and then there are other times there are places that you know how to get to in your life and there are places in your life that you end up and you have no clue how you got there I mean there's times when everything works out and then there's other times when you can't find the purpose if it came up and smacked you huh you can call it life you can call it fate you can call it good planning or bad planning you can call it talent you can call it skill however you choose to call it the events that transpire in your life one thing is certain for all of us is beyond what we may or may not be able to accomplish there is a higher purpose in life I mean the fact of the matter is very simply this the job that you now go to everyday you probably don't deserve it I mean some of you sitting out here today we all scratch our heads and wonder how in the world did you marry her how did you end up with them they're so much higher or better of or no let me get in trouble today you know what I'm talking about right everybody look this way me and look this way don't lick this way my wives you say Lord just let him be saved Lord just let him be saved I mean did you really think that you made the best possible score or the best GPA that you could to have the position that you have where you are did you marry up or did she marry down don't answer that life has a lot of twists and turns agreed the choices that we make have consequences and outcomes that that many times way outlive us every day we live a different way depending on how we feel that day every step that we take carries us into a direction of a thousand or more possibilities yet today every one of us are sitting here right now right now how you got here how you obtained the position in the chair that you're sitting in right now most of us would wonder or question the fact of the matter is if you knew all of the choices that you were gonna make today would affect 100 people in a positive or a negative way today what would you do differently I mean most of the time we don't even give a thought as to the effects of a kind word or words spoken in anger many times we get caught up in our own world and we pay very little attention to those around us that are in the scope of our influence and that's humans we got to understand from that what we say and what we do bears a tremendous amount of weight those wise guys said in Proverbs 18 and 21 death and life are in the power of the tongue understanding that such a small thing has the capability of changing such a big thing the smallest part if you will and the most unruly part of our bodies has the ability to breathe life into someone or to completely destroy them let me let me tell you a story on this Sunday afternoon y'all stay with me for a moment there was a young man one day that had found the favor of his father he had a lot of brothers in the house live there with them and all of the dynamics of a family were present in that family how many understand family dynamics come on the oldest the middle and the youngest the one who nobody knows why is even there you know those are the dynamics of the family again ya'll state look this way don't look around you it'll keep you out of trouble but we all understand one of the brothers is loud one of the other brothers is very strong one of the other brothers is weak and cowardly one of them is very intelligent very smart they're all very distinct they're very different they're unique in their own way but yet they are a part of the same family and in this particular story the one I'm telling you right now this particular young man happened to be the youngest of the family so the father in this particular story he paid attention to this youngest boy in a very different way in fact the story goes on to say that this father with all the right intentions gave to his son a coat that was very different and distinct from the rest of his brothers in what they had received from dad the purpose behind it no doubt the smartest one scratched his head the purpose behind it no doubt the weakest one wondered how come I didn't get a coat that looked like that whatever it happens to be in the family dynamics I have to tell your friend that the receiving of this coat of the youngest had a different effect on all of the brothers in the family in fact this coat is called - you and I a coat of many colors it has been the point of conversation for many many generations a word like the phrase is like this well he's the favorite son or better yet he's the golden boy or better yet he's the mama's boy or even the one he's a daddy's girl it takes on a connotation and an understanding in a family but I've come today to talk to you this story that talks about the identity of jealousy and bitterness because of a relationship between a father and his son notice Genesis chapter 37 verse number 3 now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children everybody say Oh Israel loved Joseph more than all his children because he was the son of his old age and he made him a coat of many colors and when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren they hated him could not speak peaceably to him and Joseph dreamed a dream and told ha ha told now Joseph had to learn a lesson somebody say him in he told his brethren and they hated him yet some more you got to understand the family dynamics Joseph being the young one already he's standing there looking good in his coat of other colors and many colors some translations say that it simply was a coat that had sleeves on it well what's so big about that well in that day to make a coat you basically had a rectangle piece of material and what you do cut a hole in it pull it over your head and did the best you could but this guy had a coat with sleeves stay with me stay with me some other translations says that perhaps there was embroidered into the coat with sleeves some really pretty colors that made him stand out amongst everyone else now don't don't go there today cuz you'll be probably mad and angry and won't get nothing else out of the message but how many of you know what it feels like when somebody in your family gets something that you know they don't deserve but somebody thinks they do now see I know what it's like cuz I mean if there's five of us kids in my family and I was the youngest for thirteen great years huh Logan your thing yeah you know it's all there sweetpea what honey sugar booty but Jimmy give him that quick you don't need that popsicle you know whatever and then Chris happened brother man I'm not mad I'm not bitter Chris happened I was 13 man world ended do you realize now what has just transpired yeah when you're 13 years old and there's an infant in the house what just happened to you your mom and I are going out watch him you mean on Tom bout oh I won't digress cuz I'll get in big trouble but one fourth of July I had firecrackers and I was separating them sitting there watching my younger brother he's this big laner on the um the the precious towel that mom gave him and I'm separating firecrackers he's don't have blowing off the same time we only got one pack and then I finished separating them and I was sitting there looking at him and looking at these and I got my lighter out oh he burned me and I dropped it where'd I drop it in the midst of firecrackers so what happened come on somebody do the math do the physics can you may say boom boom boom boom boom boom so because I'm smart and I'm 13 that's what I did I jumped up ran all right one man I'm getting away from them I won't get hurt and I get 17 steps away give or taken I turn around look and there's this little guy laying on the rug going Ross I'm gonna tell you I paused a moment what firecrackers no I didn't I ran back in and grabbed him run out and they finished blowing up and then I had lots of splainin to do why there was burn marks everywhere anybody know to talk about the dynamics of a family I'm ok with you so far stay with me the Holy Ghost is here in the middle of fireworks Joseph his father gave him a coat of many colors and he knew beyond the shadow of any doubt that dad was playing a favorite to him to make the matter worse you got to understand that that they hated him and then he began to have a dream and in his dream one day maybe it was at the dinner table or the breakfast table he said behold we were binding sheaves in the field and lo my sheep arose and also stood upright and behold your sheaves stood around the bow and made obeisance to my sheep and his brothers said to him woe shalt thou indeed reign over us shalt thou indeed have dominion over us and they hated him what to say the more because he was a dreamer and because he repeated his dreams stay with me and he dreamed another dream you think that he'd learned the power of a dream they meant and he told it to his brother Magan come on Joseph what is wrong with you standing there telling dreams in this big old coat and he says to him in this other dream he tells me he says listen I know that you hate me and I realize that but let me tell you this dream and he said I dreamed and behold the Sun and the moon in the eleven stars made obeisance from me and he told it to his father and his brethren and what did dad do says he rebuked him said to him what is this dream that thou hast dream shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come and bow down ourselves unto thee to the earth and this brethren the Bible says indeed him but his father served what he was saying the Brethren his brothers were jealous they envied him they resented him the dynamics one more time take over the story if you will continues and it leads us to know that the brothers were not ok with what was going on so the Bible tells us in this story that when Joseph came to him in a field that they took him and they took his coat and they killed an animal and they put blood on it they took him and they sold him to a caravan that was going by in the slavery and they figured out we don't got rid of the problem they go home they tell Dad sorry about that but he's dead now boy I wish that hadn't happened but here's your coat that you gave him on and on the dynamics are stretching and growing but can I tell you today in this place that Joseph was on the other side of this story and he no doubt was confused dad had always been there and took care of me dad had always shown me favor but those around me didn't they understand the dream that I had didn't they understand the translation of the dream they're gonna bow down to me they're gonna cause themselves to double over in front of me and now they've done gone against everything that I've been told in a dream they don't win against everything that I've been telling them and they have sold me into a really bad situation we know the story of Joseph he was sold as a slave he worked in Pharaoh's house he got thrown into jail but somehow through that he became an interpreter of dreams telling me somebody finally he works his way into a position after much heartache and much suffering and pain to where he is given the responsibility of all of the kingdom if you will why because God's hand was a palm Joseph's life and through the dreams that he had through the plans that he made the desire for greatness somehow he had to come to a place of humility to realize it is not for me that God gave me these dreams but it is because there are those connected to me that need to have a miracle in their life one day I've come to declare to somebody sitting under the sound of my voice whatever heartache you're going through right now whatever trial you're walking through right now whatever pain and suffering you're going through right now it might not be at all about you but it might be about somebody coming after you he made it through the difficult times in fact this guy was so good that he came up with a plan to make sure that Egypt had plenty to survive a drought that was up and coming and when the rest of the world began to suffer they made their way over to him to say could you please let us have just a little bit of food so that we can take care of our families so that we can sustain ourselves through this hard time the time came that Joseph discovered that his father had passed away his brothers came to him then and they came and they began to talk to him can I read you part of this story the Lord is here right now listen to me Genesis 15 and 15 and when Joseph's brethren saw that their father was dead they said Joseph will pertain to hate us and we'll certainly recruit us of all the evil which did unto Him and they sent a messenger to Joseph saying my father did come in before he died saying so shall you say unto Joseph forgive I pray thee now the trespasses of thy brethren and their sin for they did unto the evil and now we pray thee forgive the trespass of the servants of God of thy father God of thy father and Joseph wept when they spake unto him and the Bible says in 18 his brethren also wimped fell down before his face and they said Behold we be thy servants in this position family dynamics one more time they know these brethren know that they have not done right by Joseph that they have not dealt him correctly they know beyond the shadow of a doubt they were wrong they didn't do it correctly they did a trespass against him it affected not only Joseph but it affected the father and it affected everything about the father so much so that at the end of the father's life the brethren were fearful and saying it is because of death that Joseph has not taken our lives but we're gonna starve to death out here if we don't somehow get some help and so therefore they went to Joseph and they fell down at his feet exactly the way that the dream came to Joseph so many years before but yet they had not connected the dots why because it was not God's time until this moment in time I've come to tell somebody today you gotta realize if you truly believe that God is a good God and God's got a plan for your life then you need to know before you ever started down the road with God he already had an end for you and it does not include defeat or failure but it is a victorious it is a glorious way that you will end up notice what happened Joseph said unto them fear not for am I in the place of God verse 20 tells us this ending but as for you he thought evil against me but God meant it unto good to bring to pass as it is this day to save much people alive now therefore fear you not I will nourish you and your little ones and he comforted him and he spake kindly um to them I've come today telling you this story to understand the dynamics of brethren and sister and family and those that are connected to you and those who are not I've come to tell somebody today that we all have our own stories to tell that we all could talk about defeat and deceit that has caused us to suffer and to have pain and go through things in our lives I'm standing here today and I'm declaring to you but my God is more powerful than anything that can come against you you see you should have already been dead and in the grave you should not have a child in your womb but somebody here what Joseph said was gonna be an end that would bring honor to him you should be in a grave for the lifestyle you were living you know that you were wrong but God came in and change you and now he's giving you a boy to raise from the glory of God bring the mind do not ever stop until you get to the but God but God's got a plan but God's got a purpose but God's lemmings to God is a healer Bob is a deliverer cloud is a wave maker God can do anything some of you are frustrated thinking that the journey of life has brought you to a place of destruction and distress and the fact of the matter is that is not at all the case drinking you need to understand something the book God has not happened yet you keep praying for those grandbabies you keep praying for those children why because when you get guarded there's a reason that your life has turned out the way it is and as much as we would not question the will and the purpose of God sometimes because we're human we are put into a place where we have to simply trust his will and we don't explain a lot of things and sometimes God is silent in our suffering but friend of mine I stand here today and I declare the voice of God but God had it all worked out you see you don't make sense brother Dan to give up a church and to move to another crazy city since it with a guy that don't have no sense like me but there for you to get here and God do something in your kids lives that makes no sense to nobody you gotta know something there's a but God moment in this why because there's a church being planted by somebody that's here I'm not finished I'm simply walking by faith and God's open doors but God is the one that's in control of it I don't have to fear I don't have to run away I simply magnify the name of the Lord even in the middle of drought my god is a but Gautama guy demon in the middle of famine my God can do anything come on some of you in here have your own stories to tell you can talk about how you had a heart problem but God came through you can talk about you had a near-death experience but God came through he talked about how you should have lost everything but God came through what was designed by God to be a blessing from the start the enemy tried to take God's plan and destroy you stay with me God knew all the while while Joseph was in jail while he was being tempted by the wife while he was being lied to lied on by his brothers God knew God knew and at the end of it all Joseph simply stood there and said you thought it evil against me this is this is this to me is a mind-blowing pardon me while I demonstrate you thought it evil against me but God listen to the word meant it and to good but God meant it unto good wait wait I know what the word meant means that means it was compra positive it had a purpose it wasn't just something I don't know what to do next and what you thought was going to be evil God meant it God the whole time was meaning good for you and there was a thought and a principle and a preceptor and the connector that God was saying you may not see me now Joseph and I know you're in a whale covered in blood and I realize your coats been stripped from you but there's something that's happening in the future that your family is not gonna even understand but there will come a day what I'm meaning for your life it might feel like it's bad now but they'll come a day when they'll bow before you and they'll say you were right Joseph your calm is a right card your way is the right way God meant it to good why because God's banner was always in motion to bring to pass as it is this day to save much people alive God had it all worked out from the beginning the fact of the matter is simply this I wonder today if somebody will have enough confidence in faith and the power and in the Word of God to say God they said I'm going through right now I don't truly understand it comprehended I don't get it all I'm not even sure why it says and why it's that but God I know that you're gonna come through on the right time and things are gonna happen to bring life to people and what should destroy me by the hand of the enemy he's standing there scratching his head Sam why can't I kill that one why can't I snuffed out their worship why can't I keep them from praising why can't I hushed him up on the Sunday morning why can't I tell them to be quiet why they gotta keep going to church why they gotta show up from Monday prayer why they gotta be there Tuesday as well why are they gonna talk about the things of God at work why do they have to reach out to their friend at school or in the cubicle next to them you know why it's because I serve a God that has a plan in Shore and it is not dependent on the evil one it is dependent on my God and he knows where I am why but God has a plan for my life to bring to pass his order let's stand together if you're not already to listen to me please the question for the day you believe that God can come even after all of your difficulties do you truly believe that God can make a way even when you've messed everything up see Joseph we only get the story of the good stuff the positive thing I have no doubt that he was human no doubt while he's sitting in a jail with the baker and the butler around him saying here we go I'm getting out of here and himself having to reach back inside to the dream reach back inside to the vision reach back inside to the purpose and say I'm going to stay here because God evidently has something greater in store I have often wondered how many of us have been in the same predicament Samuel and when it was time to call the butler out or the Baker that some of us because of our attitudes and our intentions would have simply stepped into the place of the butler or the baker because at least it wasn't in the jail classy God God brought me out and made me a butler say I'm not until I'm out here now because Joseph didn't realize what God's plan was not at all to open the doors or to make the bread then was going to be his job to tell the butler and the Baker what to do some of us have settled some of us have gotten accustomed to just kind of serve in God and we've given up the miracle-working power in our lives I have personally known me personally I have known folk personally I know them that came to me at one time in their lives and with tears streaming down their face and tongues coming out of their mouths say to me you know what God just showed me so I have healing in my hands I said really tell me about it God told me that there was power right here that I could touch those that were sick and they would recover and be healed I said really that's so cool yeah and that neat and then there'd be an occasion I don't mind telling you there'd be an occasion that we'd be in a service somebody come up for healing and I'd go over and I'd grab them and I'd say hey I need you to go put your hands on that one right there they're sick and I've watched them stand there with trembling arms and hands say no I can't and I said then God say to you that there was healing in your hands yeah but but what but I'm not worthy but I failed God too many times I quit believing in it so does that mean God took that from you stay with I don't know you know what happened that time that person got up off the altar where they had been prayed for and they left there with pain still in their body because somebody couldn't wait and hold on to what God had told them there are some of you sitting in this room right now that God has put something in your life but for whatever reason you've gotten comfortable with just coming and being in the presence of God and your hands and your pockets so to speak saying yeah I do love you Lord I believe in you but I've been accused of of trying to sleep with the big guys wife I didn't do it but evidently everybody thinks that I'm bad I failed you in so many ways that there's no way that you'd want to use me again God so I just talked I want to go to heaven I believe I will and all the while God's saying but realize they're still healing in your hands but you won't believe it you're gonna settle today in this room God has spoken to some of you and reignited something that was charged in their years by before and for whatever reason your faith your ability to believe in God's plan and provision has caused you silence what God has told you and therefore you worry and you fret and you suffer and you're questioning you you go through every service and you wish and you hope and you know I've come to remind somebody but God can still do what he said he could do and every negative thing that was spoken against Joseph brought them to this place here you wanted it to be evil but God said no life needs to be changed here but God said I've got a greater purpose but God said I've got something that I need you to accomplish but God said I'm not done with you I never said I was done with you but God said hey if you step out right now I've got a place for you at the foot of the cross where I can do something in your life but God has something for you young person walking down the halls of your school you don't have to be silent with your witness but God might say to you open your mouth and talk to your work talk to the one next to you open your mouth and talk to the other one hey it might be that God has brought you right now to this place so that he can say this is why I've got you here you don't get it yet but if you'll open your mouth and begin to speak a word I'll come to you in the middle of that hallway in the middle of that job in the middle of that office and I'll begin to work a work in there that nobody will ever deny it was definitely part of the plan of God why to bring life into a dead situation right now lift your hand please right now in the name of Jesus God only you know what you called me to do only you know the purpose Lord that's in my life only you know Lord the nights that I laid in bed and I wept and cried and searched for you and made mistakes and stumbled and fell and got up and went on only you know God disappointments and the discouragement only you know God because every time I hit afford I come crawling back to you and I'd have all the suffering and all the shame but God your love has reached beyond that your patience with me Lord your long-suffering this guy you're meeting the gentle all that stuff that you've worked in my life that's brought me to this place in 2018 where I can say I'm my god and messed up and the enemy may have tried to destroy me and brought an evil report but God you've got life and you know exactly what's going on I should have already been dead but God you brought me through it I should have already given up but God you brought me through it right now in this place this altar is open for those who want to rekindle the understanding that God put something in you and you're still waiting on the but God moment for him to reveal that now is the time at this moment is the place I've come to do a work in your life those classmates that you know this class with there's something I want to do in them I'm gonna use you to do it those co-workers that work I know their stories are horrible but I'm gonna work through that and I'm gonna use you to touch many lies why but God is still on the throne come out and close about an assault it's time to seek the face of God I believe in you Jesus that's right that's right that's right okay but God but God he's got the plans he's got the purpose he's got the reason he knows where you are right now come on Lenny rekindle come on Eddie rekindle Allah Allah Allah in the name of Jesus that's right in the name of Jesus and Allah in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus the name of Jesus Hut's hot over use homes not only you know not only you know yes I love you Jesus come on st. reach to come to news we missed our stop refused although that trying that try that try come on that's right below no plan your purpose is right that's right that's right no reason oh yes oh yes oh yes well I know what you told me I know what you told me okay do you know where we are Oh they say they receive it the name of Jesus reach over pray for somebody closer come on right now reignite know what you call me there's purpose unknown god there's anointing oh Jesus I'm trusting you I'm not giving up on your loan I know michael says yes I try to reach over friends or somebody about get ahold of someone but knowing it right now Bob Dylan right now yes yes yes yes yes yes ji-sun in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus in the name the name of cheese you are God you are God that's right that's right come on Preston well I know you've got here I know God where is your name worthy is your name that's who and whatever the trial whatever the confusion or chaos is right now in your life you've got to walk in the name of Jesus and realize realize it's not going to destroy you if you're in him but it's going to save people it's gonna change so right now before you go home I want you to consider I want you think about putting your brain somebody that God has been putting your heart to pray for to reach for to try to get to come into the presence of the Lord co-worker family member love one neighbor doesn't matter you got him you got him you got him right here in your brain you got him now what you transfer them from your brain put them in your heart and while they're in your heart out of the abundance of the heart speak right now Jesus I'm claiming my coworker come on speaker but I'm reaching right now for my classmate I'm reaching right now Lord for my family members God I'm believing Lord and everything that's going on in my life in their life and all the chaos and the crazy you are still God you're still on the throne and I believe God that you've got answers it might look like evils gonna take it out but God you're still working but God your plan is still in motion but God I'm gonna trust you for it and life is gonna come help me God give me opportunity Lord to reach to them to witness to them to share what you've done for me in the name of Jesus but God you're still able Lord God detection and to change them I'm not giving up but I believe in your Lord I believe in you Jesus yes yes yes
