are finished with our study on the gift i do hope that you enjoyed it tonight i want to do some finalizing of 2021. over the last 12 months allow me to recap just a little bit we have been on a working journey a working journey there's a lot that's transpired over this year uh can anybody remember last year's last service of the year anyone yeah me too or me neither the uh the fact we would have been on this side because then we came over here november december time frame we did the remodel then we transitioned over to this side so i would have been facing this way with a real skinny stage yeah okay anyway that paints a picture for you as we gather here tonight though i am reminded of what we started last year this this year in january as we came to the end of what was a very hectic year of 2020 um 2019 brought a whole lot of interesting things to cornerstone uh i felt as if god were leading us over the last 12 months again this last service of last year a time of of revisiting our foundational blocks so that's what we did and we spent the last 50 weeks or so talking about different aspects of god's foundational blocks for the individuals and for churches okay we have established that as an individual as a family and as a church if we don't build on something strong that will support us throughout the ages we will become very fluid and very shaky and we stand the possibility of losing control of what we are trying to gain just a moment ago i had a conversation why why do we do what we do every week what if your life at the end of it there was no reason there was no heaven there was no going to be with jesus forever probably none of us would be in here tonight every church in the world will be closed because people would simply live for themselves live the life because if the end didn't matter then there'd be really be no reason just go to the word there'd be no reason to understand it because there'd be no future but what we've talked about over the last 12 months i'm trying to help the church and building on the foundation first of all we spent a month talking about god's word the power of the written word the power of the scriptures the power of how the word of god came about how we have it 2021 put together in an order that we call our king james version and then of course you got a hundred translations after that but a very strong and powerful building block then we we went into one of the second most powerful building blocks that the church has and that's giving everybody say giving if we give now again don't get caught in a modern day thinking because if i mention giving automatically we go to what money but that's not exactly the focus we give of our time our talent and our treasure right so we talked about giving and the importance of replicating what god did for humanity we read about the last four weeks in the beginning i'm sorry for god so loved the world well i went all back genesis that he gave that's a principle giving we then went to love everybody say love look at somebody say i love you look at somebody and tell them i love you tell somebody i love you jedi you ain't telling you don't love nobody do you there you go i caught him huh i love you love has the power to do many things love has the power to change situations in fact perfect love according to scripture cast out fear so understanding that we talked about the foundation block of love then we went to truth i mean knows what truth is give me a definition of truth not a lie what's truth a what a fact what is it god there you go god's truth okay well we just settled that huh truth truth is a very very fluid word if you will very unsure word in our society today who's telling the truth who's not telling the truth okay we talked about truth and then we went into salvation now hang on to me we're going somewhere tonight in this study the end of the year i'm trying to recap to us the importance of a strong and firm foundation because when we look at god's word we look at giving we look at love we look at truth salvation comes in the name of jesus when we understand it is because jesus christ came lived and died that we have salvation then we are building upon a powerful understanding of who god is in our day we went from salvation then talking about family anybody have a family the two of you raised your hand yeah okay the rest of you do yeah how many don't like your family don't say that family we have a personal blood relative family i got to spend time last night with my family and they're all okay i'm joking they're all they're all good my brothers my mom it was good to be with my mom it's good to be with my brother my sister uh it's family how me knows that family has issues anybody's family here not have issues if your family doesn't have issues we'll put somebody there and kind of help you yeah there's issues there's also you learn a lot about yourself and family agreed anybody know your heritage where you came from all right that's family that's a block that's in the foundation we went from there to one that's very very difficult for our generation trust trusting god there's a saying that's out in the world in the economy and in the military and in different political trust but verify so trust it but verify it how many have ever trusted god at his word but then you waited to verify it in the midst of that you lost your trust my god i'mma trust you for this but just in case god i'm going to trust you that you have this under control but in case i mean tonight i don't have time and we did in that study if you'll recall it was it was some very uh directed uh information about how a person establishes trust if you recall about how a person establishes they can trust something fact of the matter friend if you don't trust god for things if you don't trust god in his word then you don't have a foundation to build on that's why a lot of things in our world are on on shaky ground it's hard to trust from there we went spiritual gifts get ministerial ministry gifts things to where god moves in the church listen if we don't have gifts that means they're they're given working in the church then how do we know in our generation that we truly stand for who god is huh have you ever been asked this question before how do you know you're right what if you're not right huh what if what you believe is not true you ever ask ask that or have somebody ask you that yeah well here's a very simple answer how do you respond to them do what i mean you can play that all day long here's the fact at the end of it all we'll find out you know i heard jeff arnold many years ago because of the times preaching talking about i don't think there'll ever be any anybody in heaven that'll stand at the at the judgment throne and say wait you mean i could have i could have done that i could have drank i mean i could have had had just just just one drink of alcohol i could have just one drug i could have had just one affair i could have had just one of that and i would have still made it he also mentioned in that message that he's never been to the bedside of anybody who's dying and saying i wish i'd have lived a worse life i should have just i should've have done everything wrong you with me understand something got to trust the plan and the will of god spiritual gift holiness we went into holiness without holiness what you won't see god you don't even put eyes on god without holiness be holy because he's holy is that all right again we're living in a world today where holiness is not a very common term that you talk about you don't hear much on the radio program you don't talk about it at the lunch table at work you probably don't get a phone call in the middle of the day say you know i've been pondering things about how we're doing things on the job and i want to know what you think about holiness for the gibson the guys on the line at your be they talk about that stuff don't they orton on your line they talk about so anyway it's about holiness out here that's a great conversation huh you know the other day i was thinking of holiness and no you talk about it so anyway holiness is thing you know i just think being holy thing you know just sometimes it's very odd to folk today but if you don't have holiness in your life you'll not see god then we talked about the second coming somebody say the rapture say the rapture is that a tiring word or does that excite you does the rapture still strike a chord in your life that says oh he's coming back talked about that foundational block of the church then of course november and december we talked thankfulness and then we finished up just recently the study on the gift every week we drew from the scriptures direct biblical teachings to help us in this day in our growth maturity processing on how to be a better person christ-like in this world we dig deeper into the scripture we we look longer at the possibilities listen carefully i always tell you that wednesday night midweek bible study to me is like peanut butter and jelly people how many we got here tonight horton 38 people here tonight looking for peanut butter and jelly sandwich now some of you may or may not want to be here they made me come had to get my shoes on everything well they even made me comb my hair and brush my teeth of all things pull me out from in front of my game station oh sorry i didn't mean to say it that way my thing amusement i was doing but here i am why are y'all looking around now trying to convict somebody y'all just hang on fact of the matter is this if you don't understand why and what and how you do what you do friend of mine you are on shaky ground bottom line we can read and study the prophets of old we can see that they too were concerned about their generations and about the way people looked at god the way people interacted with the things of god as humans we have no way listen carefully as humans we have no way of seeing god has anyone ever seen the face of god now stay on stay on it stay on it we can see the details of god's abilities and what he does for an example you can take a leaf off of a tree you can put it under a microscope keep in mind that's been made by man and you can see the effects of the water the soil the sun the nutrients growing and moving inside of that leaf correct you do not see the face of god but you do see the effects of god see humans don't have the ability to make that leaf they can grow a tree of course they can grow a plant but it originated from something that they did not make also you can see the way you can take a horse hair instead of make a brush out of it or if you're going to make a brush out of the horse tail pull it look at it put it under a microscope and you'll see all the lines and the details in that hair keep in mind you did not make that but the god of all creation made sure of how that hair was going to grow it's the same thing with you here's something that always has intrigued me do you know that for for a drug test they can pull their hair out of your head and stick it in a thing and do a test on it and say you got drugs how'd that happen well it's because in the root you got this and if this one they could see and they're gonna some of us would be so messed up because we don't have lots of hair no i'm not looking at people i'm just just looking down but we understand you can't see the face of god but we can definitely see the effects of god we can see the details of how god created things i'll give you another one that all of you will understand very clearly a male and a female could come together in the holy bonds of matrimony and they can have a child and everything about that child growing inside of that female's womb is so incredibly supernatural naturally it just happens now for all of you men out there all you fathers out there who've been there when your wives delivered somebody oh some man say thank you lord that we don't have to carry babies church i i mean revival just broke out come on well first of all never mind i just don't know if i could take the pressure that's a lot of stress yeah here's the point you you may not understand all of the why how that baby develops and and how that the fingers and the fingertips and all the cells and the things in its body but after just a few short months this this human comes out of another human and it's all ordained by god from the beginning that happens in cows it happens in dogs it happens in animals and creatures because that's how god ordained it somebody say thank you lord it's perfectly right and though we don't have the ability to lay eyes upon god we can see the effects of it listen to me carefully what we do have friend is we have the word of god that we can study and look deeper into and we can understand through his word his characteristics his personality how he interacts i had somebody asked me recently even do you believe in the second coming of the lord the rapture and i said i certainly do and he said well what are you what when is that going to happen and of course i don't i don't know and of course that particular person looks at me says well this is this is things you look for and i said right we don't know day hour those things but we do have the ability to notice the seasons and what's going on in our world because believe it believe it or not there have been multitudes of generations that have come and said jesus is coming jesus is coming jesus is coming and they died and went on and he didn't come he still hasn't i i mentioned y2k earlier man the whole world just knew it was over because if a computer can't change the date surely god's going to come back we had to sit up at midnight watch them 1999 11 59 and 56 57 58 59 60 january 1 1 o'clock we're like wait we had no idea how it's going to work hang on to me funny how that we based everything about the future on something that man created now here we sit 2021 over the last 12 months we have attempted to build a foundation in which we can build upon with all the different aspects of the word of god and how it interacts with you and i as humans i stand here this evening and i tell you if we'll understand the precepts and the principles of god's plan for us of god's plan for humanity then it will make your life worth living if you truly believe there's a heaven guess what mom and dad you'll do everything you can do to invest in your kids to make sure they make heaven their home but if you don't believe in heaven then what are you going to teach them listen carefully if you don't believe in hell then you will live your life and you'll come to the house of god and you'll do what you want to do and you'll never consider the fact that at the end of it all you'll have to pay for that foundational blocks help us to build on a strong firm established word in which we can grow the next generation in the hour in which we live listen carefully you better know jesus you better know him you better know his word you better know what to look for in the next few days the next few months and the next few years you better know what it's about there is a spirit of deception that is trying to cause us as humans to build upon shaky foundations that have not been tried that have not been tested and not been proven to be true because they are built on man's vain philosophies and they have been deceived scripture is very specific i mentioned it just a week or so ago that that there will come a time when when men will not listen to sound doctrine that does not mean how a mixer works in a concert that means established correct teaching and instead the bible says they will heap to themselves how many can we get teachers having itching ears want to hear certain things they want to hear certain things because if they can get a fake noise going on it might be that they'll feel better about all the mess that their lives are in how many lord help me stay on track with this lesson what we if we do not learn in our age to know the voice of god the word of god the plan of god the purpose of god the power of god if we don't understand that friend of mine we're going to lose his spirit is still the leader and the guide for all of humanity no matter what culture no matter what society the word of god the spirit of god is still in control also the spirit of god still speaks into the heart of man so that we can hear what he's saying and we can make adjustments to our lives chris question is there any way at all that we could ever correct god god know hold on a second you missed that you didn't get this now wait a minute lord listen this is what you said and now you know is there any no the fact is as his word is forever it's settled it has been put in a place to where it doesn't shake vibrate move anything it is settled as we come to the end of this year i'm looking one more time at the building blocks of the church and i want us to understand that that and i'll just be very very candid is that okay last wednesday night maybe by next wednesday night you'll forget oh i'm exhausted talking about covid anyone else i got to mention last night i was with family and that was the that was the topic of the day now when i had it that doctor told ain't nobody had as bad as me you don't even know you didn't realize i was coughing eyes throwing up eyes dehydrated doctor said oh my we ain't never seen likes of this oh it's great conversation and the more i talked and the more i listen i'm like lord jesus just get me oh god help me not to say something i'd ought not say because i had i had coach y'all know i had covey that's how the conversations would start i'm sitting there yeah i heard that did you yeah yeah see anyway when i had it and stay with me stay with me we're finding out in our world that everybody's got an opinion well what had happened was this guy in a lab or what really it is what they're trying to do is yeah somebody had this overage of peanut butter in their warehouse and they was trying to sell it so they um i sound silly but we're i mean there's all kind of stuff out there i i some of it i i some of it's worth studying because it makes you wonder where is the mind of man to think that it was this or that you're with me and how is that even fabricated to that and we're going to go to the word of the lord is that okay there if you go into the old testament it's the genesis exodus leviticus numbers and deuteronomy i'm sorry due to romney um the first five books of the bible that's the pentateuch right that's what the children of god were given as law this is how you will do what you do this is how it will interact this is how it will if you don't get these laws 600 plus laws if you don't get them within your heart and your mind and if you don't teach them to your children if you don't talk about them in the morning get up and let if you don't describe this to the next generation they will miss it and what we see in creation and what we see and and how things were established and how the levitical law became became intact and in pl listen people began to follow after that because god breathed that word to humanity friend of mine if you were alive during the days of the genesis exodus leviticus numbers in deuteronomy you would find out something very serious that if you did not follow the law you were going to die there was no argument there was no justification there was no sanctification there was none of that if you did not follow the law you were dead fact scripture reveals that if you lied and you you trespassed the law god could come down and he could open up the whole earth and go and your whole family could go in and he'd close the earth and you'd stand and go what just happened stay with me so you get through the first five and then you find out that as we start into the judges we started to the establishment of how god was connecting himself to humanity he'd already given them the way he'd already given them the principles he'd already told them how to do it if you're going to build this you need to build it this way you need to put this in it and this is how i'm going to interact with you and if you don't do it this way i'm not coming to visit you you with me but then we get into first and second chronicles first and second king first and second samuel those are the writings of how things transpired with what god had given and how man received it and how man and god came together there you go there's your three three thirty second historical lesson on what we have in those words but according to the chronological things of how these kings and how these rulers and how these people interacted one with another we get to second chronicles chapter number seven everybody knows this one verse number 14. can we put it on the board please everybody knows it you ready if my people help me guys which are called by my name shall humble themselves pray seek my face turn from their wicked ways then will i hear from heaven and we'll forgive their sin and we'll heal their land this is a very famous verse we use this often this is this has got a lot of apostolic pentecostal punch to it agreed this is what our weather i mean there's plaques on this it's got it on shirts you got it on all the other songs written about it but before verse number 14 if you take these chronicles chronological things going on you'll find out that the people of god had indeed turned their back on god and they were building on another foundation besides the law of god and so now the writer pens the words that god breathed to him if you'll stop if you'll seek and if you'll pray things will happen stay with me verse 15 now mine eyes shall be opened my ears attend unto the prayer that is made in this place verse 16. for now have i chosen and sanctified this house that my name may be there forever and mine eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually and as for thee verse 17 if thou wilt walk before me as david thy father walk and do according to all that i have commanded thee and shall observe my statutes and my judgments then verse 18 says will i establish the throne of thy kingdom according as i have covenanted with david thy father saying there there shall not fail thee a man to be the ruler in israel but if you turn away forsake my statutes my commandments which i have set before you and shall go and serve other gods and worship them then will i pluck thee up out of the room by the roots out of my land which i have given them and this house which i have sanctified for my name well i cast out of my sight and will make it to be a proverb and a by word beyond among all nations 21 and this house which is high shall be an astonishment to everyone that passeth by it so that he will say why hath the lord done thus unto this land and under this house verse 22 and it shall be answered because they forsook the lord god of their fathers which brought them forth out of the land of egypt and laid hold on other gods and worshiped them served them therefore hath he brought all this evil upon them verse 14 if you'll humble yourself and pray turn seek but if you don't there will be a reckoning notice that this is a famous if you will again when you get through the history of the beginning and you get into the chronological things of how it happened and what happened and what transpired we'll notice here that the people that is referred to here in this particular writing are not people outside the camp 2021 vernacular they are not people of the world my people his name and now i have to establish this because at the end of 2021 we have just finished 12 months 50 plus wednesday nights we have spent talking about 12 different fundamental things of the church and i wonder sometimes did we get it i'm hopeful that we did because 2022 friend if you thought the last couple of years was in topsy-turvy wait for what's about to transpire i am not a doomsday prophet i'm not a negative preacher mostly i try not to look at the negative side of things but i am telling you i am declaring to you things are about to turn loose and if you don't understand the power and the purpose of prayer and if you don't understand the power and the purpose of what god's word is this word can go just like that and then what are you going to stand upon there was a minor prophet generations later by the name of hosea and in the end of his writing he said the people of god were destroyed for one reason because they had a lack of knowledge they did not know god now i will say it this way and i'm watching our clock we still got plenty of time i got another hour and a half in this generation i i one of them and again you can call me old-fashioned and you can call me well it's okay i've got a little gray hair to show that but i'm gonna tell you something in our generation it is a challenge and near painstaking idea to try to get folk people doesn't matter where they're from what they do get them out of their worlds and into god's world hang on to me a moment their lives are so full of them trying to live according to what they have established as what they were going to do that the only time they have room for god is when they're in trouble and then they bring out second chronicle seven if we'll just turn from and we'll god will and here we go and all the while they don't realize if you were to take time and go before verse 14 of chronicles and go backwards what would you discover god had everything exactly and as long as they followed as long as they did it god was with them god blessed them to this day anybody somebody i don't care explain to me how the smallest nation in the world is still the most feared the land of israel is still feared by nations how is that even possible because if you go into the history books what do you discover hey listen for those of you that that have a whole lot of extra time you know just out this is an abundance you know he's like wow what i'm gonna do with my time that's why i want you to i want you to do some research on the wars of the israelis since they became a nation in 45. it will blow your mind the supernatural events that have occurred with god's people that was what was called the six day war there's been there's been several attempts to try to harm or destroy i mean you got this little bitty nation that that's no bigger than a small town in our in our nation and you've got a right over the line it's called a border you've got these palestinians that are trying to destroy and what do they do they'll fire a barrage of thousands of rockets over there and what happens to them now some of them hit the ground and explode probably people are hurt by and large they have what's called over israel the iron dome come on anybody know a little bit about what's going on out there and as soon as they detect something coming off the ground reaching an altitude boom they release rocket they shoot them down and so out of 1000 or 100 or 10 rockets they'll knock down 90 of them and i'm sitting there going man you can walk over there and do something but they won't because they know there's a god that's connected to that group and we don't watch ourselves we'll put our you don't want the god of israel to come against you out of his nostrils can blow fire and smoke and he can simply breathe on you and knock everyone you don't believe it try it come on as as disgustingly degraded that our society is here in the united states and how many knows we've got issues in our country the church is still here and your prayers are still working that's why the the hand of god hasn't come down and snuffed out things now there are cities again you watch pastor what i'm saying there are cities you put eyes on it that have walked away from god and you notice the condition they're in right now there are cities in our nation that have decided they don't want to pray they don't want to i found i read an article today i read this thing today it said very soon saying merry christmas is going to be an offense and called hate speech because it forces someone who's listening to you to accept the fact that christ is worth celebrating okay so what do i say happy holidays okay what kind of holiday i'm not on the beach are you i mean holidays what you don't work time off so the holiday thing to me doesn't make sense and i'm usually not that happy because i'm spending money and i'm going around every you see what i'm saying here's my point listen to him i know that i'm splitting in hair here but we live in a country and in a culture that if we listen to that stuff going on out there as minimal as it might be and as small as that group might be we will begin to believe it and we will let it affect the church how many know tonight we've got storms out there they're predicting rain hail thousand mile an hour winds all that you know storms happen storms happen can we predict that what should we do should we just sit in a place and say well let's use a little wisdom here let's not go sure i understand that but if it's coming am i going to stand a better chance at my home where i've got these neighbors living around me that may not be worth saving or in the house of god where every old-timer would say lord if i go let me go at church where the preacher that's standing behind the pulpit said lord if i die let me die preaching why because better is one day in the house of the lord in the things of god than worrying about what may or may not happen out there now listen to me carefully i got to be careful what i say because i don't want to put my foot in my mouth have to taste it but we can justify a lot of our actions and activities because we don't know god and we don't understand there have been things that have happened in every one of your lives that if it were not for the protection the hand of god you should have died agreed when did that happen you probably don't even know but the hand of the lord stayed what could have happened you don't even realize it some of you should have should have had an accident but for whatever reason you took a right turn instead of a left turn you call that a coincidence i don't i call that the steps of a good man ordered by the lord there have been multitudes of times where i knew that i was i was in a troubled situation and i didn't know what else to do but pray in my mind things were settled but in the spirit world there was probably battle going on i don't even know it listen to me carefully and again i'm watching the clock the foundational things that we have talked about over the last 12 months if we understand the god that we serve then we can take him at his word because he does not lie and we can say lord this is what you said in your word i'm not mad i'm not angry and i'm not upset but i am coming to you with your word you'll never leave me no forsake me also if i will humble myself pray seek your face turn from wicked ways i can hear i can get a word from you so on this last wednesday night 2021 i wonder are we going to simply go the way of convenience things of the world that's happening and just kind of mold ourselves into it or is there anybody that would stand in the face of the generation that we are in the midst of and say you know there's a reason that i'm standing at the edge of a lion's den because i prayed but i'm not afraid to go into that dean of lions now we read the after effect of the king coming couldn't sleep all night worried about daniel daniel's in there with lions had every reason to die the king comes pull the rock away hey daniel are you in there what'd he say livo king i'm all right see we want that shadrach meshach and abednego experience to be able to say i have stood in the fire with the man of god not the man of god the man god and i didn't even smell like smoke but in order to do that what do you have to do they did not partake of the kings instead they trusted they ate something so disgusting they would call it pulse yeah you know that's like going to logan's restaurant saying yeah i'll have a portion of pulse please it's kind of like the dishwater okay we'll go drain the sink and whatever comes out will brother drone would you come bail me out please tonight as we again finish this year next year the lord will permit us we've got we've got a direction we're heading into we're going to begin to connect these blocks together and establish some things listen to me church y'all know that i i monthly i have a theme it's just easier for me i believe god gives voice and direction to us and that we need to and there are some systematic teachings and instruction that we need we could come in on wednesday nights and just have church like we do on sundays and there's a lot of churches that do that but i feel like that the foolishness of preaching is used for the saving but for the keeping it's the teaching got to get that word you gotta learn how to teach it to your kids and they got to know what they believe for the next generation in the next one now i don't know jesus may come tomorrow if so better but if not we've got to do the things of god every day i don't want you in your home to build on a shaky foundation and think that you're going to make it because you won't it's been proven time and time and time again millionaires have given everything away just to have the dollar only to find out at the end of it all didn't really matter wise guys smart guys they've they've poured them their whole lives into educating others only to find out at the end that didn't really matter the truth be known if we build upon the foundation of the word in our god's word and love and trust and truth and salvation and the family and giving and we understand the blocks that we're upon that we're standing on and as we put and build together the house of the lord the blessings of the lord are going to be with his people because if we turn seek and pray he's going to open up heavens so at the end of this year it's 804 for us clockwatchers i appreciate y'all coming out on this wednesday night but i want again i'll ask you stand with me is there anybody that would close out to wednesday night service 2021 with this season of prayer lord i believe you're coming after your church that's the whole purpose of calvary that was the purpose of calvary to make a way so that said lord i don't think that that was in vain i am certain that generations from that point to now have believed that you were coming back lord if indeed we are closer to it today than yesterday but i want to make sure that i'm following the right thing and building on the right foundation could you find a place to pray for the next few minutes here in the church house if you're at home or you're at work whatever would you spend some time praying lord come on just talk to the lord i i don't i don't even know how i got where i am i'm not really sure where i'm things are going to connect tomorrow but god i i want i want to know that i know that i know that you're right your word is true your promises are correct i don't have to be afraid i don't have to live in fear i don't have to wonder about things god but i can know you at the end of this year lord i can trust you i can call on your name i can call on your name i can call on your name and you can move in my situation love you jesus come on church pray open your heart for a moment open your mind open your mouth for a minute talk lord jesus i love you come on at the end of this year lord i'm hungry for you i thirst for you my soul god desires you i want you lord more than things of this earth i want you god more than things of this world the systems of our world lord i want you more than that i want you lord more than things i want you i pray for my family god that they would want you as well that they would hunger for you and thirst for you and desire the things of god to work in their lives my wife and my kids lord let them love you passionately give them a heart of purpose lord to come into your presence and understand that you're working in them pray for our church family got every man woman and child in the church god i pray you would put something in them that they would hunger for you desire the things of god more than the things of this world jesus we want a powerful move of your spirit in our lives daily lord an unction and an anointing god that will destroy any yoke that would try to bind us jesus this last wednesday night of 2021 we're
