would you pray with me church come on everybody pray lord we love you and we thank you for another opportunity to gather in your name jesus opportunity lord to love you and to serve and bless your name thank you for that lord today we have gathered and we have sung the songs we have lifted our voices we have talked about your goodness and your grace right now lord we need you to speak into our lives let the word of god be that two-edged sword today god and let it do its job within us lord i make myself available one more time to you i need you jesus without you lord i am nothing all of my righteousnesses are as filthy rags i i must have you i have to hear from you jesus i plead your blood right now lord over every ear that's listening i rebuke the enemy the deceiver in the name of jesus let there be freedom lord to hear the word and to respond today as you do the work within each of our hearts those that are in their homes today are on their job wherever they are lord i pray the word the word would do its work there as well we love you forever in the name of jesus would you give him a hand praise a hand clapper praise right now thank you lord come on give him praise i love you jesus i worship you holy god you are the mighty god the everlasting father yes you are jesus and i love you today hallelujah thank you singers and musicians thank you so much to the teachers and the helpers and classes thank you for those greeters and the audio and the video guys i really appreciate your hard work and labor it takes a lot of work to to make this matter and then for all of you that come and enjoy it can you say thank you lord can you say thank you lord god's good to us isn't he you can be seated if you feel like you need to lord bless all of you is there anybody in this room today that really understands the mercy of god would you lift your hand come on you understand the mercy of god i see a few hands has anybody in this place ever felt the overwhelming power and presence of the hand of god as his mercy was working in your situation come on identify lift a hand is there anybody in this place today that realizes just how awesome and wonderful the mercies of god are in your life mercy mercy the the simple definition according to the dictionaries it is compassionate or kindly forbearance shown toward an offender an enemy or other person in one's power a compassion a pity or a benevolence i think that all of us can identify that we understand mercy parents and spouses children bosses and judges doctors and workers mercy is enacted and it has an incredible ability to change a person's life amen because mercy received is understood as there was a possibility or a chance that there could have been another outcome i should have died but mercy was shown i should have went to jail but mercy was given i didn't have to do it that way but mercy showed up and showed me a better way now we all want to receive mercy because we all really do know and understand the possibilities that we face every day even in this generation of entitlement mentality mercy is handed out every day stay with me some would argue today that that we all deserve mercy if that were the case it would negate the power of mercy stay with me some would establish that every person should be able to live and function as they want to as long as at the ending of it all they could be shown mercy and go back to zero if that were true then in 2020 this world full of problems and issues there would be an overwhelming responsibility to somebody to simply say i'm not really sure how this is all going to turn out but there there's mercy the fact is to truly understand the power of mercy you have got to be placed in a situation to where you realize it could be bad i know what i deserve i know how it ought to turn out but to really understand mercy you've got to realize you know what i'm simply going to trust that the one that holds mercy can indeed show it to me and even let me hold it i speak of this point today to simply establish a principle that stands from the ancient of days a law that god from the establishment of all laws he put into practice with his people and that is simply this mercy as you read and as you go through the commands of god you realize that those commandments were given to humanity so that we could indeed have a relationship with the holy god of all things first of all you've got to identify first and foremost he is a god that is a good god his plan is in this world active today and you are simply a part of his plan you live and you die all of the things in between that friend are gifts from the hand of the lord the joys that you feel the thrills that overshadow your heart the lessons that you learn and the lessons that you teach others why because it is all in all in the lord god almighty there is no way friend that you can have a real sense of the living true god and how it acts in your life unless god continues to show you his plan and his mercy for your life god wants to fellowship with you his desire is to be our everything the writer to colossians chapter 1 verse 16 says something of this nature for by him we were all were all things created that are in heaven and in earth visible and invisible whether they be thrones or dominions or principalities or powers all things were created by him and for him and he is before all things and by him all things consist the writer paul was saying it very simply everything about god is god and all about god is god and everything you know understand or comprehend it's got god in it it's his signature he knew about it before it happened he's going to know the end but from the beginning he's going to understand the design and therefore is a perfect design from god so knowing understanding that everything is in him we as humans we have the ability to fall and to falter and there are times and there are seasons in our lives that we're going to need his mercy would you say mercy there are times in our lives as we live that we're going to need his hand upon our lives somebody shout mercy we need his ability to give us hope and to help us in failure somebody say mercy it's unmerited it's not really deserved it's nothing about who you are it is simply about the god that loves you and shows you mercy when there's no answer out there he has mercy all of the things that you'll ever need attach themselves to mercy if we truly receive what we deserve if we truly received the return of our investment many of us would be so bankrupt right now we would be so destitute right now but mercy was given to you i wish somebody would say mercy when i look at the characteristics of our god and i search the principles in which the manner he works and i see time and again that he does what he does because he loves every one of us he knows that the time will come more often than we think that we're going to need his help in our lives in situations that we face he knows that the human ability it's a great ability to try to think that they have it all together only to realize that there are weaknesses and flaws therefore we need his mercy he knows that it might take multiple times for something to happen in our lives for us to truly understand that we always have a need for mercy but because he is god and he has made us and he has designed us he knows that at a moment when the timing is perfectly his time and you finally come to the realization that you don't want to receive the wages of your sins but instead you want the opportunity to make a change and to turn it around it is at that point that he will allow you to call on his name and he says mercy is here to work for you i went back to the establishment of god's principles and they're in the word of god how many know that to be true and i noticed how that god had instructed his people and he had established with them laws and precepts commandments in which they should live and they should abide he made commitments to them and make covenants with them he spoke he spoke to his servants he established the parameters of this relationship you and i call them the ten commandments of course there are many more right the thou shout and the thou shalt not and you do this and you don't do that notice they are not simple suggestions this is a law that established a relationship between god and humanity and as long as the people humanity would follow the lines that god himself had drawn everything would be okay but if they neglected the law or they willingly or unknowingly or un didn't even realize that they transgressed the laws then there had to be a repairing of the damaged law you and i may call it justification or we might rectify or try to believe in a certain way that we've transgressed only to decide you know what god you need to just accept me as i am i believe today that the lord god will accept you and receive you as you are but he will not leave you in that state and you better be glad that the god of glory doesn't leave you the way you are you better somebody better be thankful that you're no longer strung out on drugs somebody ought to be glad that you've got your right mind and you didn't just shake his hand but he came in and did a work in your life somebody needs to realize without god you are nothing i'm glad that he changes us you see god saw the law as life or death because god has no room for sin nor disobedience against him david for an example he was a king and this is what he said about god when god delivers him out of the hand of saul this is found in psalm 18 and 30. as for god his way is perfect the word of the lord is tried he is a he is a buckler to all those that trust in him how many know that god's way is perfect the laws and the principles that we live by the things that we do day in and day out if we really want to please god and we want to allow him to work in us and to complete his job or his opportunity or what he wants to do inside of us then as you look into the ways and the reasons that god instructs his people then you will discover that the laws were meant to have a better relationship not only with god but with those around you because why because the word of god it settles points of references and it gives greatness to the god that you serve and in understanding that you're able to look around at the one somebody hang on to me for a minute you're able to look around at the one and to your left and to your right and to realize as messed up as you are so are they as they can destroy things and they can trample righteous things under their feet so can you and see the law of god lets you see how big god is but then it let you interact with those to your left and right in front behind only to realize that if god is showing mercy to them and he's showing mercy to me that must be that there's something in store for them and for me why because everything about god is right and it's perfect and it does its exact job god does not do junk now now listen here believe it or not we're headed somewhere today and i am so thrilled to get there notice this list of instructions for the people of god from the voice of god and found in the book of deuteronomy 24 beginning at verse 17. hear this thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the stranger nor the fatherless nor take a widow's raiment to pledge but thou shalt remember that thou wast a bond man in egypt and the lord thy god redeem thee sins therefore i command thee to do this thing listen to it verse 19 when thou cut us down thine harvest in the field and has forgot a sheaf in the field thou shalt not go again to fetch it it shall be for the stranger for the fatherless and for the widow that the lord thy god may bless thee in all the work of thine hands when thou be this to thine olive tree thou shalt not go over the bowels again it shall be for the stranger for the fatherless and for the widow when thou gatherest the graves of thy vineyard thou shalt not glean it afterward it shall be for the stranger for the fatherless and for the widow and thou shalt remember that thou was to bond man in the land of egypt therefore i command thee to do this thing listen to this carefully as the law of god was given by the voice of god to humanity it was done in a way that you could clearly understand it when it comes to the dealing of the needy the widow the fatherless to those who are strangers and they have no way to support themselves to those let me say it like this who were hurting and who were broken god instructed his people and he gave them a principle when you go into the field of your harvest whatever you do you go in and you get the harvest but you better leave something for the fatherless and the widow and the orphan hear me carefully why because there is something about the brokenness of a person the loneliness of a person the fatherless or the stranger the widow that says to god i know that i need to do my part and i wish beyond all things that i could but the fact of the matter is simply this i need somebody to show me mercy in this time of need knowing that when you go to the lands in which you possess to reap the harvest listen from the toil of your hands from the soil that you tilled from the seed that you bought and you worked hard to get that you paid your servants to plant the seed and then to work to fields and then later to go in and reap the harvest after you've established your method of handling the fruits of your labor there's something that you've got to understand it is in the law of god that you leave something in the corner of the field for those who have nothing if you dropped an ear of corn you left it if you spilt a shovel of grain you did not pick it up while you were in the field working and it looks like you're gonna have a great harvest within yourself you're going to face a battle i'm the one who sacrificed and put this vineyard here who put this field here who put these seeds in the ground i'm the one who invested in this therefore i have every right to cover every inch of that ground and pick up what is due to me what i deserve therefore i will do that but god knew the heart of humanity and therefore he established a law with them and he told them beyond any shadow of any doubt that if you do not leave a portion for those who have a need then you are going to be found guilty of hogging taking up trying to stop the hand of mercy to work in their lives he told them very specifically knowing this law remember when you were in bondage in egypt and when you came out of that how that i god provided water for you to drink how that i god provided manna for you to eat how that i god made a way where there was no possible way every time you work a field every time you go reap your harvest you need to know something that god wants you to be a steward of the things that he's given you therefore this fact remains that god has a principle that he wants us to live by and it is simply this you do everything you do you work as hard as you can but you never forget it is of the mercies of god that i'm even able to do this there are some of you right now in your spirits and in your mind you are standing at your feet waiting on a response because you know that god is about to answer what you've been praying for over the last several weeks and months i want to give it to you right now in the name of jesus the levitical law was given to god's ministry and this is what was said in leviticus chapter 19 verse 9 and when you reap the harvest of your land thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest and thou shalt not glean thy vineyard neither shalt i get thou gather every grape of the vineyard thou shalt leave them for the poor the stranger i am the lord your god it is always god's way of showing mercy to each one of us when you're in need and you're broken and you're hurting understand you need mercy to be shown to you now i do know that standing here in this pulpit right now today that i am reminded of the times in my life where i was unable because i was broken and hurting and my life was a mess and i'd made some really bad decisions and choices i remember vividly in my life that there have been times i hear me that i came to the house of the lord and i was hurting and i was broken i didn't have the strength to lift my hands into worship i could not raise my hands with liberty and freedom i was very tired and i was very weary in the battle that i had been going through i was simply found going through the motions but in the midst of that moment of weakness in the midst of that moment of humbleness and wondering where god was couldn't hear his voice couldn't see heaven open up it was at that moment when dear little sister so-and-so made her way to an altar and in her feeble way began to worship the lord god because god had been good to her and god had shown her mercy and she knew what it was like for the god of creation to come down and meet with her it is at that moment friend i personally can testify that i simply would walk closer to that dear old sister and as i walked near and her worship was going to heaven brother gibson that i happened to make it into the corner of her field into the edge of her harvest and because she had left something for me i was able to bend down dylan and pick it up and god sustained me for that time i've come to tell somebody today it might be that what you're doing right now it might not seem like a lot but there's a generation coming after you and they're going to need a corner of a field to come through because they're going to be beaten and broken they're going to be tried and tested but hear the word of the lord the corner of the field it's not yours it's a reminder of god's mercy there have been times in my life that i didn't know what to do next but somebody was reaping a harvest and in my broken spirit into my hurting and pain and suffering something happened i felt that provision and the loving arms and strength of a savior came in and began to wrap themselves around me i didn't have the strength to go into god i didn't have the strength to even go into my field i didn't have the strength to go and receive i was suffering and i was hurting but they allowed me an opportunity to come into their field and to be sustained with what they left a simple reminder of the mercy of god they allowed me to go into the field that they had labored in and to receive i stand here today and i realize that there is a multitude of needs represented in this room for reasons beyond my understanding and my ability to grasp god shows up in a marvelous way and reminds me daily that there are times when i need to glean from others you see pastors probably a little different than maybe someone else not a lot i might be weirder but not different fact of the matter is simply this there are times that i come to the house of the lord and it's been a good week and i can shout easy amen amen amen i can even justify the field of harvest that i was working in and say you know what it's about time but i saw the hand of the lord come so i was able to go in and work and i can become very selfish in making sure that i get all the corners cleared out and i get all the branches up and i make it look good because if i'm a good steward i'm going to take care of what god's given me and the simple fact of the matter is this i didn't deserve anything that came up out of that ground it was the mercy of god that showed it to me and allowed me to partake of it so what i need to do is i need to allow others to receive and glean from me hold on to me i am only here today because of elders in my life that have reaped their harvest and they understood mercy and through their gaining of that harvest they allowed me to make it to the corner of the field and simply thank you simply bend and receive of what i didn't do anything about they did it we all know the story of ruth we all understand the purpose of boaz you guys did leave the corners yes sir yes we did you made sure you followed the law of mercy yes sir we did who's that beautiful girl in the corner picking up the scraps that's that's ruth she's come back she doesn't have anything mother-in-law's a widow she's she got nothing and she's a win she don't know what to do you make sure that out of our abundance she survives i'm convinced that's what my granny was doing she was saying there's no other way but jesus because one day i'm gonna have grandbabies coming and they're gonna struggle and i'm struggling but they can call me holy roller all they want to they can throw tomatoes at me and eggs at us in this tent but it don't bother me why because somebody's gonna glean one day from the harvest that i've been working in mercy's going to be shown mercy is going to be shown so you don't deserve nothing what you you better know that what god's done and those that came before you was to sustain you and you selfish thing to go to every corner and try to get it all up what you need to do is follow the law you do realize that if you obey the law of god he will multiply whatever you pick up and he will bless the one that comes in beside you 2020 guess what we need now more than ever we need people that will allow their harvest fields to be gleaned why because this world is in such a mis direction messed up destroying themselves hurting themselves lying and cheating and doing things to their bodies and their minds that they don't even realize what's happening what's it going to be like one day when they finally wake up and say i've drunk everything i can i've sampled everything out there i wish that i just had a way had a way to make sense of it my grandma used to talk about prayer well there's probably not enough for me the little lady used to carry me to sunday school that was so long ago i bet i bet they don't even do that no more but in the midst of that if they can ever come up to a field that you've been laboring in i don't even know where to start planting seed or working in this but i sure need strength i think they'd let me come into the corner i don't even know what to say or do but somehow mercy's been applied to me everybody's sitting on the sound of my voice right now you have experienced direct mercy from god because somebody follow the law somebody followed the law and they left the portion that was not yours it was not theirs was god's and god simply let you walk by on that moment begin to glean from their field friend of mine there are times when you will be on the top of the world and everything looks good from that view but you give it enough time you're going to be down at the bottom you'll feel like the shoe of life is mashing your head there's going to be times when you don't know what else to do and you know how to make the next step you're going to need mercy i want you to know we need one another i i pastor this wonderful church and i i think it's such a and i know it and i understand that it's such an incredible responsibility and an incredible blessing but there are times in my life that i walk as a man that i'm waiting on one of you to get out of the field for a moment so i can come to the corner because i need strength and i need to glean from what god is doing in your field when you worship your best today listen to me when you truly and honestly bring to the lord god the very best that you have what you have done in that sacrifice of bringing your first fruits and what you've received out of the field unto the lord god the lord god before he'll accept that offering he will check your field because he won't bless you if you've broken his law there's some here today that you need an answer from god but you have selfishly taken everything out of your field and there's nothing for anybody else to get now i'm going to open this alternate i want you to stand with me all i want just soft piano here herb thank you y'all stand come on listen carefully if the lord has been good to you and the lord has provided for you this past week and the lord has made a way when it seemed like a very impossible situation and the lord has allowed you to go into your field of labor and to begin to work to pull the harvest up and now you're bringing in sheaves and you're bringing in the grapes or the olives or you're bringing in the wheat or whatever it is and you realize that god is moving and and you're giving him thanks for it and you believe that it's all from the hand of the lord if that's you today i want to open the altar for you first because you already know what it's like to receive the harvest and i want you to come and i want you to bring a thankful heart with you god you've been good to us lord you've made a way come on i want you to come if god's been good to you god has blessed you you understand the principle behind working in the field of harvest and allowing the blessings of the lord come on i want you to come and i want you to fill up this altar with your worship with your worship god you've been good god you made a way god you have done it now while these that god has been good to while they're standing here worshiping i want you now if you've got situations or circumstances things problems and all why don't you come up now and get up close to one of these and ask the lord god for an opportunity to go into their field and to glean around the corners and the edges of what god has done in their life come on you can receive the holy ghost in the harvest field as you glean you can receive the healing in your body as you go into the corner of somebody's harvest field and you begin to glean and pick up and receive come on god can move in your situation as you begin to walk into somebody else's prayer closet and understand the power and the anointing and the authority that's in that place come on everybody in this house ought to be loving the lord right now for his goodness for his mercy for his loving kindness come on your neighbor can receive a remnant from your worship right now as you begin to magnify the lord god the one next to you can receive a blessing come on that's right as you begin to lift your voice to the lord god somebody behind you beside you they can receive their healing right now as you begin to bless the lord god somebody can come up close to you in the corner of your field and they can glean from what you're doing that's right they can receive from the harvest you're receiving oh come on every mouth ought to be full of praise right now every heart ought to be lifted up to the lord right now with thanksgiving with humbleness and understanding i need your mercy in my life that's right that's right that's right come on lift your voice god you've been good to me god you've been good to me savior you have blessed me sweet jesus you have been to me everything that i'll ever need come on that's right as you worship your neighbor can be blessed right now the name of jesus the name of jesus there are several in this room right now you desperately need you desperately are in need of the hand of the lord to work within you some of you are facing physical trials right now you've got health issues i want you to know today you can be healed by going into someone's field and gleaning some of you you've got mental and emotional situations going on i want you to know today your mind can be liberated under the power of the holy ghost as you begin to glean what somebody else is doing because sooner or later you can rise off the ground and you can become that worshiper too god's made a way god's made a way he's made a way he's opened a door he has made a way if you're here and you need prayer i want you to come to the front and you bring every bit of faith you've got you bring every bit of understanding of the ability of god you bring it with you come on in the name of jesus somebody's desperate for the miraculous to happen in your life today would you come come on would you come god i need a healing lord i need strength in my body come on would you come that's right come on there's others would you come we're going to pray with you we're going to believe the hand of the lord for you we're going to trust that god's got it all worked out in the name of jesus come on you know who you are that's right pray come on we're going to pray together we're going to believe together we're going to believe together come on now all you prayer warriors make your way to the front help us pray in the name of jesus christ in the name of jesus mercy is coming mercy is on its way mercy is running mercy is running healing is happening deliverance is happening in the name of jesus in the name of jesus in the name of jesus in the name of jesus in the name of jesus there is healing there is deliverance god you're a waymaker yes you are yes you are yes you are show mercy right now lord i pray jesus you can show what you've got to do in this moment is get in somebody's field and begin to glean because god doesn't work for them he can do it for you you got to believe that come here we're going to pray right someone come on come on let god do a work right now you ask him what can the lord god what are you needing what what situations going on in your life i'm going to pray and ask god and i want to believe with you come on go ask somebody don't be selfish let them come into your field let them come into the corner of your field come on now you ask them and then you pray in faith believing that god is going to work and god is going to accomplish and the lord god is going to do the miraculous even if you don't see it even if you don't understand it come on now you pray for them let the prayer of faith heal the sick let the prayer of faith work come on in jesus name in jesus name in jesus name come on pray come on pray come on you call on the name of the lord for them god of glory you've been good to me now i'm asking you lord to work in their life i'm asking you lord to heal them raise them up lord deliver them make them completely whole in the name of jesus in the name of jesus in right now y'all listen to pastor for one moment dealing everything god's told you in your dreams everything god has put in your heart that you don't understand is for this generation but i believe that dylan's going to pray for us right now and when he walked into this room today god put it right there he just didn't know what to do with it you with me dylan you pray it as unto the lord give it to god right now give it to god right now dylan you pray thank you father for this day come on you pray lord you know what you're putting in my heart sobered to me for 8 months i have struggled for 8 months i have fought for 8 months i've died every day feel what he's trying to tell us today it's okay to be weak it's okay to be strong it's okay he revealed to me it's okay to be weak it's okay it's okay not to have every answer it's okay not to have every solution it's okay it's okay to struggle it's okay not to be good enough but he still loved you the day you were born he still loved you today he always loved you he always came into my life and healed me i believe you're for it jesus i believe you're for it lord that church would you love the lord come on would you worship his name right now come on there's victory in prayer there is victory in prayer there is victory in prayer god's got the answer god's working it all out god knows exactly what he's doing god's working it out there is miracles there are miracles yes jesus i believe you for it god hallelujah hallelujah that's right that's right god's doing the work come on somebody needs to glean from it i pick it up lord it's going to sustain me lord it's going to make a way god it's going to strengthen me lord it's exactly what i needed god it's exactly what i need lord jesus hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah jesus aren't lord this is a generation that will say do it if you want to i don't care i've come to love the lord that's what they're going to do these little guys right here they don't even know what's about to happen they don't even know what's going on you're just standing there saying what is this god's doing the work god's doing a work god's don't you think for oh god help me don't you think for one moment god wouldn't give cornerstone all these little babies that god's got a plan for these little babies you need to know all these little ones that are running around they didn't come in here just to make your day they came in here because god's got a plan for them god's got a plan for them can i say i'm watching the clock i know what it says can i say it this way our problem as adults is going
