Summary

Summary prepared by Acts 2:38 Life from the transcript below — the preacher’s words follow in full.

Order Out of Chaos: Genesis 1

  • He opens at Genesis 1: what God created appeared void, formless, and dark, yet nothing about it was a mistake or a failed plan.
  • The Spirit of God moved on the waters, God spoke light into being, and He called what His glory settled into order good.
  • The same God steps into a life that looks like a mess, separates what is tangled, and puts it in its place; God must not be left out of the picture.

Scriptures: Genesis 1:1-2; Genesis 1:3

One Generation Declares His Works: Psalm 145

  • The psalm is read aloud: great is the Lord, one generation praises His works to another, and men speak of the glory of His kingdom to the sons of men.
  • God's kingdom is everlasting and His dominion endures through all generations, so His greatness is meant to be handed down, not kept.

Scriptures: Psalm 145:1-13

Glorious Means Heavy: Kabod and Doxa

  • By its origin 'glorious' is not mere beauty or splendor: the Hebrew kabod means heavy and weighty in all completeness, and the Greek doxa carries glory, majesty, and honor.
  • At the temple dedication the cloud filled the house and the priests could not stand to minister, because the glory of the Lord is a weight a man cannot handle on his own.
  • The glory of God is not dictated by feelings or circumstances; it is worth standing for, kneeling for, and carrying even when it costs.

Scriptures: 2 Chronicles 5:13-14

The Glory Carried Through the Generations: Matthew 1

  • The genealogy of Jesus is read through: fourteen generations from Abraham to David, fourteen to Babylon, and fourteen to Christ — names and people God deliberately carried.
  • Between the testaments there was silence, yet God left nothing to chance; Jesus came to complete the plan begun when the Spirit moved on the waters.
  • John's Gospel opens the same way Genesis does: in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God.

Scriptures: Matthew 1:1-17; John 1; John 1:1

Greater Men Under the Weight

  • Men of the church are charged to get under the weight of God's glory and carry responsibility for their families — praying daily, leading them to the altar, and deciding to be in the house of God.
  • His own heritage makes the point: grandparents who never missed revival, a mother who lived for the Lord, and a father whose young man's decision put God ahead of habit and work.
  • His son Stephen's travel-ball and football coaches heard the same rule — a coach may change, but a father remains a father — and his two-year-old granddaughter already asks for Jesus in her heart.
  • The sermon closes at the altar: men are called to rise as greater men of principle, power, prayer, and passion, and to leave their children a heritage of godly power rather than only provision.

Heaven, earth, God created the entirety of the universe in which you and I live.

There's something here today that I feel compelled to bring to our attention, if I may. Something here that we hold dear in our Bibles. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. But I want you to notice something in Genesis 1 and two. The earth was without form and void. Darkness was upon the face of the deep. The spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. God created the heaven and the earth. But something that God created in the beginning, the earth was void. Nothing. chaos, no motion, no connections. How can it be that the author of the book Genesis, the book of beginnings, how is it that Moses could pin these words that in the beginning God created? We all know specifically that God does great wonderful things. Somebody say amen. But how can this God create a heaven and an earth, and in the midst of that creation, the earth be void and without form? It's almost as if the author made a mistake that God would create the heavenlies and all of its masteries, if you will, but that he would also speak the earth into existence. And as it appears, that created word failed because in the creative moment, God created the heaven and the earth. But the earth he just created was void, nothing, darkness, chaotic movement, if you will. It looks like the plan of God has gone arry. It would appear by the pinned words of this man that God didn't know what he was doing. as if he messed up, forgot the recipe, he gave it a try, but but he failed and he didn't follow through. Because we know that God doesn't make mistakes. You and I today can read this and we get all excited because in the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth and he spoke into that and things began to happen. But I wonder today, could it be? And please stay with me. Whatever you do, don't stop now. You'll misread the entirety of the message. But I believe that something happened in the moving of the spirit. It was more than simply God would step into nothing with his thought and creative mind and begin to assimilate a plan. But the Bible says that then the spirit of the Lord began to move. In that moving of the spirit is where something began to develop and grow. It was unharnessed and it began to move across the things that happened on earth. God spoke.

The Bible says Genesis 1:3, God said in that earth moment, in that heaven moment, let there be light and there was light. God saw the light and it's good. God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light day. The darkness he called night. The evening and the morning were the first day. Everybody say number one. First day God spoke and what appeared to be nothing, what appeared to be a failure was actually what God's design was even for you and I today in 2026. Because the Bible reveals here that what God saw in the midst of that, he called it good. He called it good. God's presence began to overshadow the darkness and the void and the voice settled things into place. So what might have appeared to be a mess up actually was the beginning and the launching point for the glory of God to begin to move upon planet Earth and begin to establish things. Y'all stay with me for a moment. I believe, I am convinced beyond the shadow of a doubt, God did not make a mistake. But God's plan from the beginning was this. I created the heaven. I created the earth. And what appeared to be chaos, void, darkness, and nothing it was looking for my spirit to begin to work into it, and begin to establish a connection between the heavens and the earth. Uh and you and I today uh we are recipients uh of the plan of God uh that is still in motion right now. Uh I've come to tell somebody today uh with the help of the Lord. I feel my help is here. Uh that in your mess up and your chaos and your junk and all the stuff going on. It's not God standing back crossing his arms. Uh but it's the power of God that can say uh give me a moment to step into your mess up and I can settle it all. I can put order to it. I can develop it and put it into its place. You might not understand it, but I am the God of understanding. Hold on to me a moment today. [panting]

When we need something in our lives and we look to God for answers, sometimes there are moments we've got to revert back to the beginning of the situation in order to understand the establishment of God. You can't leave God out of your picture. You can't leave God out of the scenario. You cannot take God and remove him from the equation of your life. It might look like things are messed up and there's no hope. But I've come to tell somebody today, he is a God that unfolds things at a proper moment. God was, God did, God filled, God spoke, God thought, and everything that was needed in between came from the plan and the mind of God. And what might have appeared to be something that was wrong, it was actually the hand of God saying, "I'm coming in to separate some stuff." Hang on to me a moment. Again, brings me to a point today that I believe is paramount for all of us. God has to be present in everything in your life. God must have a place.

We are here at this moment this month at CAC and our theme for the year is greater. We've been talking greater, greater, greater. We'll not make the foolish mistake that someone else made and talk about greater women, bigger women. I can say that about men. Man, you're looking big today. And men will all buckle up. Come on, Bandy. Careful with that jacket. Men were okay with it. Ladies, not so much. Some all the men do this. Just do this. You'll be okay. Men, God has planned for each one of us has an origin. It has a point of reference. Listen to me carefully. Men, I'm going to talk to you for a moment. Ladies, I need you to help me right now. In the beginning, God, what we see is that God moved throughout the scriptures and God demonstrates himself to men. He shows himself to men. He displays his things to men. He allows men to be involved in God's unfolding plan.

Let me read it this way. The psalmist was so cool at this. This is actually considered to be one of David's Psalms 145 verse1. I will extol thee, my God, O king. I will bless thy name forever and ever. Every day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name forever and ever. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised. His greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. Listen to this. I will speak of the glorious honor of thy majesty and of thy wondrous works. And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts. And I will declare thy greatness. They shall abundantly utter the memory of the great goodness. Shall sing of thy righteousness. The Lord is gracious, full of compassion, slow to anger, of great mercy. Number nine, the Lord is good to all. Somebody say good. His tender mercies are over all his works. All thy works shall praise thee, oh Lord. Thy saints shall bless thee. They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom and talk of thy power. To oh, listen to number 12. To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and his glorious majesty of his kingdom. Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. Thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.

I stand here today with a simple phrase. The glory of God is most definitely needed in our day and age in which we live. I've come to declare to somebody today that our God is indeed glorious. I could stop there, but I won't for the sake of what the Lord has given me today. I look closer at this description. Our God is glorious. And I begin to investigate just a little bit in what little bit of reason that I have. By its origin, the word glorious is not at all what you and I would see today in our culture and in our societal issues that we have. In fact, in our 2026 dictionaries, glorious by definition is simply marked by great beauty or splendor. Aren't those mountains and the Smokies glorious? They are until you've seen Mount Kilimanjaro. Glorious. By its origin, the word glorious is not at all what we see today. By the definition, of course, we can entertain it. Listen carefully to the preacher today, please. The word glorious by scriptural context is kabald. Kabald. The meaning is very different in its Hebrew meaning. It simply means this heavy weighty in all completeness. So when you speak of God of glory and the way that it was intended, we see that God is more than just a feel-good something. We see that God is more than something that's worth talking about. But when we understand the glory of God, what we comprehend it, it is a heavy and weighty something to consider. So back to the Genesis account for a moment. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. But the earth, that that he had created was without form. It was without void. And the spirit of God be to move upon the dark waters that were there that time. I've come to establish to somebody today that if we truly understand the power and the glory of an almighty God, what he was looking for at that moment was an opportunity, as the definition goes, is for him to walk in with his glory and to take the heavy weightedness of who he is and toss it upon, if you will, all of the chaos and the confusion going on in the earth and to cause a separation to come so that you would recognize the fact it was Not simply the voice of God, but it was the glorious act of God that began to push things apart. Listen, so you don't have to walk on planet earth in your sin and transgression in all your hoes and woes and stuff in your life that things are blowing apart of. But it is the God that says, "I have come in and my spirit is wavy. Uh it's heavy and it will separate me from that." But when he establishes that that is under his heavy glory, then he is saying I can put that in order. I can give that purpose. Uh I can make the rainfall. I can make the rain come up. I can make the river flow. I can make the mountain tall. I can make the planet serve. I can make the stars shine. Why? Because the heaviness and the weightiness of God says, "I'm more than what you could ever hope for or think in your mind." Heavy weighted. The reason God created the heaven and the earth was to separate things. He did not call it good until he separated it. And it wasn't simply a spoken word. Oh, hope this looks okay and nobody's offended. It wasn't him getting a committee's opinion on something and a vote that says, "Yeah, that's probably not a bad color." What'd he tell the the guy Job that was under the needle at that point? Where were you when I spoke the stars into existence? I didn't come to you for counsel. I didn't look to you for what you thought that the sunset or the sunrise should look like. But what I did was I in my mind knew it. I'm going to make this happen. It's going to happen in the morning and then it's going to happen again in the evening. And the view is going to be different on both sides. It's going to be when you're on the mountaintop or when you're in a valley low, God's going to be the same God. Why? Because his heaviness and his weightedness, listen to me, his glory is actually inserted itself into your situation. And I've come to tell somebody that if you're expecting to come to the house of the Lord and simply feel the little goosebump and simply turn and spin and wonder where's God in all of this mess and walk out of here wondering where the power of God is. I've come to tell you the glory of God is heavy. He's glorious. He's weighty. It's more than just what he can do for me. It's more than just what he allows me to have. It's more than just the multiplication table as I look to the blessing of God. Hear me somebody. But if our God is truly an awesome and glorious God, then his weighty and heavy thoughts will say sometimes you got to go through subtraction just like you go through multiplication. Heaven forbid we would ever embrace division, but it is in the equation. Stay with me. The scripture is so sure here. What you and I call this holy book, we look at God as glorious. Would you say that with me? Glorious. Come on. Glorious. Say it like it's a heavy word. Come on, say it. Speak it out like it's a weighty word. God established the heaven and then God settles in over the darkness and the void and things begin to come together. Listen to me. God did not begin with a completed project, but God spoke into it and his glory began to move across all of the stuff. And in that moment, God every time he completed the step required to show his glory, he would simply say, "And it was good. It is sufficient. My glory has put itself into that situation." I've come to tell somebody through my life's experience, and again, I'm not the old guy. I'm also not the young. But I have discovered one thing. God is faithful through all of it. The sleepless nights, the tears cried, the wondering, and the what is h what's going why am I in this con? What is happening here? Why is this happening in my life? I've come to recognize that in all of it, God was glorious. He was weighty. He was heavy in my situation. Allow me just a moment. That word cabal, heaviness. Heaviness.

Let let me explain it this way and it might make more sense. 2 Chronicles 5:13. It even it came even to pass that the trumpeters, the singers were as one to make one sound to be heard and praising and thanking the Lord. And when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and symbols and instruments of music and praised the Lord, saying, "For he is good, for his mercy endureth forever." That then the house was filled with the cloud, even the house of the Lord. Listen to this. So that the priest could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud. Why? For the glory of the Lord filled the house. It was more than just a feeling of goosebumps and tingles up and down the spine. Brother Nathan, they couldn't even get in the room. Wait, wait, wait. We got a we've got a job to do. We've got an office to fulfill. We've got to get in here and minister. We've got to get in here and do the things of God. And the scripture so very specific here that the Bible said the glory of God was so heavy and weighted in that room that they could not get there. Well, what would it be like in your prayer closet that you couldn't get the door open one morning that you normally go in there because you had invited the glory of God to come, but instead you were standing there pushing against it because God said, "Hold on a minute. I'm in here doing something. My heaviness and my weightedness has filled this place." The speaking that I gave to you out of 2 Chronicles was when Solomon had built the temple and they were giving it unto God and God said, "Hold on a minute. My glory is going to show up and when my glory shows up, you won't even be able to stand with me. The glory of the Lord filled the house."

Men of CAC, listen to me carefully. Those who are hearing this preacher right now, if you're online or in this room, listen. What we need right now in this hour more than anything is we need the glory of God. We need the glory of God to fill places and spaces in this chaotic world in which we live. Men, you can give your children and spouses anything that will sustain them for a season. But if you can get into the glory cloud of the Lord, something will happen as that weightedness and that heaviness of God begins to descend upon you and you begin to act like somebody who actually carries the weight of responsibility for your family. that actually will pray daily for your children and your wife, that will accept the responsibility of what God desires to do in this hour. Listen to preacher, please. Listen to preacher, please. Listen to me, please. In the end of time, there's a reason that there's going to be a great falling away. It is not a falling away of sinners to worse sinners. It is a falling away of those who once believed but began to quit because they didn't believe in the glory of God. They didn't allow the heaviness and the thing of God to rest upon them. Listen to me. Come on.

There's something about coming to the house of God that's true. Y'all going to give me a minute to pastor you? There's something about coming in the house of the Lord and memorizing verses for a Bible quiz. Yeah, there's something about coming in and practicing a song and doing something that you give honor to God. Uh but listen to me, friend. It's that Tuesday morning when everything else is blowing up that you feel the weight of God and saying, "Lord, your glory is here today and I feel the responsibility of what you are calling and drawing me to do." Uh it's not going to always feel good. In fact, there's going to be times when I get to the house of the Lord and I had to change a tire. I spilled my coffee on my shirt. My kids weren't acting right. My wife or my children were this or that or my whatever it is. But you're going to walk in the house of the Lord so disgusted, so distracted, and so turned off by the things of God. But if you'll ever recognize the fact that God's been better to you, even in spite of you, and you'll understand the glory of God is not dictated by how you feel or what you're going through or the chaos in which you're walking through in your life. But if you'll recognize the fact this is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. I'll pick up the heaviness of what God's telling me to do. I'll pick up the weightedness of how God's leading me. I'm not about to let any devil in hell distract me in this hour and cause me to walk away from God because I don't want to feel the weight and the responsibility of what God's doing. No, my friend. But instead, I've decided the glory of the Lord is worth standing for. It's worth kneeling for. It's worth giving to. Uh it's worth wrapping your arms around. Uh it's worth deciding, you know what? I might not be able to have all the answers, but I've got the weight of God on my shoulder. And I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, his glory uh is with me. Some of you need to tune out that radio station in your mind.

The devil has zero to lose. You do recognize the fact that at judgment there's a book in that book. There's two, but in that one book is going to be what? It's your name called the lamb's book of Oh, there we go. Thank y'all. Your name. It's kind of like a family book. At our house, it was the family Bible on the coffee table. You may also have one. You had marriage certificates and baptismal certificates and handkerchiefs and and little pieces of gum wrapper that nobody remembers where they came from. But also written in there, Brother Rob, was the family line. Come on. We've got entire religions. That's all they do is go seek after who was your greatest of greatest grandparents. Some of us would be so disgusted in that. Somebody, don't you want to know? Huh? They come to me for a bill, dude. I ain't doing that. No, man. I'd be so mad knowing that that my great great great great great great grandpa grandma with that or this or my No. See, I know enough about my history, but Tim, to know that that it ain't all good. It's not. You might yours might be perfect, but mine's not. I can tell by you sitting here that yours ain't either. There's a lamb's book of life and in that book names are going to be written. God is going to give an account to you by your name. Listen to me. But if you desire, want to, don't want to, going to, however you want to look at it, bust hell wide open, guess what? They ain't checking roll. They ain't counting heads. they could care less. It ain't got nothing to do with what you The only thing the enemy is trying to do is keep you from that book. That's why that hell is in a building program. It's enlarged itself. Come on. It it just keeps on growing and it keeps and things are happening to send people into that place. Why? Hey, one of the greatest trophies of the enemy is what? Is that board back there that we pray over? Somebody who once knew the Lord turned and walked away. Come on. I faced somebody yesterday and I scratched my head and say, "What in the world happened to you?" Faith, joy, love in the Holy Ghost, preaching, teaching, singing, and now don't even really know where God is in your life because you got you could not accept the responsibility of the glory of the Lord, the weight, the heaviness of it. Listen, say with me. We're going somewhere. Amen. In this hour right now, we're going to go back and we're going to look at the glory of God and how it is for you and I today. Give me a moment.

Between the testaments, the old and the new, there was a span of time, Brother Sam mentioned this last week, I believe, no power, no presence, no word, no vision, no seer, no one that was speaking new things, revealed things, prophetic things into the atmosphere. that they had form. They had received all of the teachings from previous days. Yes. Because it's it's apparent because of the way that they were acting in the New Testament. They were still at the temple. They were still giving sacrifice. We understand Zechariah. We understand how that these things were happening. But listen carefully. Y'all okay with this? It's 117. Matthew 1. Notice this. The book of the generation of Jesus Christ. The son of David, the son of Abraham. Abraham begat Isaac. Isaac begat Jacob. Jacob begat Judas and his brethren. Judas begat Farus and Zara and Thamar. Phyus begat Esram and Echron begat Aam. And Aram begat Amin a minadab. And Minadab begat Nasson and Nasson begat Salmon. Salmon. Salmon. Let's call it that. Verse five. Salmon begat bows of Rayak and bows begat Oed of Ruth and Oed begat Jesse. And Jesse begat David the king. the king of David. The king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias. And Solomon begat Roboam, and Raboam begat Abia, and Aia begat Asa, and Asa begat Joseph, and Jehoshaphat begat Jerome, and Jerome begat Ozas. Y'all still with me? Ozas, y'all bored yet? Begat Jonathan, Jonathan begat Ash. And Akash begat. Andius begat Manasses. And Manasses begat Ammon. And Ammon begat Josiah. And Josiah begat Je Jacconas. And the brethren about the time they were carried away into Babylon. And And after Y'all bored yet? After they were brought to Babylon, Jeanas begat Shaathal. Tell me I'm wrong. Shallath begat Zerubbabel. And Zerubbabel begat Abayude. And Bayude begat Eliaakim. And Eliakim begat Azor. And Azor begat say D. and say Doc begat Aim and Akim begat Ali and Elude begat Elcasar. I practiced these words and Elcasar begat Mthan and Mthan begat Jacob and Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ. So all the generations from Abraham to David were 14 generations. From David to the carrying away to Babylon were 14 generations. And from the carrying away of Babylon to Christ 14 generations. Y'all have done y'all's Bible reading for today. Listen carefully. Why does that matter? Generations, names, people. 14 1414. We have all of this prophetic and all of this incredibly established way that God did things in the Old Testament. from the law from the very beginning. God made sure that people had a way that they could get to him if they followed the proper suit. And because God is a God of completeness and wholeness and does not leave anything to chance, God begins then this New Testament that you and I look at in this in this canonized book that was put together all 66 of them. You think it was by happen stance and somebody in the world would try to question it and say, "Well, it doesn't connect with that or that doesn't say that or that spelled this way there and that way there." And they would try to deny it. Listen to me. That is simply the voice of the enemy trying to discourage and dismiss it. Stay with me. Jesus comes into the world to complete a plan that was started by the glory, the spirit of God on the waters of the deep.

And the language now turns from what is Hebrew to Greek. The New Testament was written primarily in Greek. And we understand then that the word in the Hebrew was kabode. But in its Greek version it was doxa, glory, approval, majesty, brightness and honor. So what was once the heaviness and weightiness of God and his glory and his glorious completion as it becomes something powerful for that then generation now begins to reveal itself through one man and his name was Jesus. He was connected to from the very beginning uh to how everything would happen throughout of all eternity. I've come today to declare to somebody when you understand the way that God does things. It's not an accident. But it's not something that is a roll of the dice or rock paper scissors. It's not. But from the very beginning and the outset of time, God knew that his glory would be heavy and that it would be weighty. And he also knew that after all the years of darkness and everyone coming to the place where religiosity had taken over, it was in that moment that God begins to once again establish with humanity. Uh it is not an accident that Jesus the Christ has come and has brought hope to all of humanity. In fact, you can go to John the Beloved's words and you can read it in John chapter 1. What was it? In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. Uh it was something about this God that began to attach it. Why was it then that John wrote that way? Uh I'm so thrilled right now to declare to you. It's because when you understand the weightiness and the heaviness of God you as a man cannot handle it. But there's one who came and his name is Jesus. Men uh it is time now more than ever before to declare the goodness of God uh and the glory of God uh through the way the spirit of an almighty God works in your life. Uh don't give up. Don't walk away. Don't throw in the towel. But understand uh it is through this Jesus that his glory is manifest. So men, when you come into the house of the Lord, you are bringing more than a bad attitude and a good haircut. You are display of the glory of God.

I am convinced, y'all listen to preacher. I am convinced that these precious, wonderful ladies, as they showed us just a few moments ago, can get in this altar rug area of this Bingle Tiger and they can begin to woo woo all of that that they're doing and every one of us say, "Hey, didn't God do Didn't God do it? But there's something else, brother Tim, completely different. When a man gets up and understands the power of a Holy Ghost fililled man and walks into the altar area, not arrogant, not high and lifted up, not full of all of his own wisdom in his own integrity, but he walks into an altar, Brother Seth, and he decides, you know what? It is by the glory of God that I am not consumed. It is by his mercies that I'm not washed away. Uh but I've come into the house today to declare to my wife and to my children, this is how you love the Lord. This is how you bless his name. This is how you magnify him. Why? Because I'm up under the anointing of the Holy Ghost power that comes through the name of Jesus. Therefore, I believe in the glorious appearing uh of my Lord and Savior that one of these days uh because I'm leading my family to an altar because I'm leading this church to an altar that they're going to be able to declare, "Devil, you've got no place here. There's a reason that God would heal somebody. There's a reason that God would open doors. There's a reason God would put things together. There's a reason for that. It's not an accident. It is the glory of God uh working in the man of God uh deciding I'm going to be uh what God has called me to be. Uh I'm not going to be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ for it is the power of God under salvation. 125. We're still good. Y'all know I got to mention the clock. Somebody somebody getting nervous. You know I love you. I do. As I get older, I wax eloquent as you get older. You know how that is. Come on, brother Jeff. Stay with me. Don't let me go yet.

I begin to look back at some things. I was young but now old her. I'll call it old. There's been more people die younger than me. But I'm thankful for the hand of God that's brought me to this place. You know what I've learned? I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread. It didn't come because of who I am. It came because of who Jesus is. And in this room today, I am convinced that there is an outpouring of apostolic authority that can rest upon this place when us men will rise to the occasion and decide, you know what? I I know that it's not cuth. It's not it's not really good right now in this culture and society in which we live to show my manliness. But my manliness is not based listen to me on what a baseball player, a basketball player or a football player can make in a year. It it's not of me. It doesn't affect me at all and what a soccer player can do and the money he can make. It doesn't matter to me how that us as parents are trying to raise our children to be successful in life. And somehow through it all, we're trying to get them educated. We're trying to make them a better sports person. We're trying to give them things to do so that they can occupy their time and they don't have to worry about all the onslaught of the enemy. You know what? The tricks of the enemy never fail unless you're covered under the glory cloud. And the weighted heaviness of God is still the weighted heaviness of God. You can't get out from under it. You can't run away from it. But if you're going to get up in the morning and talk to God for a few moments or a few hours, it's going to take you man deciding, you know what? This is the right thing to do. If it's going to be uncomfortable for you to come to the house of the Lord because you're tired of work or you've been working so many hours, three hours today I had to work. I can't get to the house of God or whatever it is. Come on. I need you to remember something. I need you to roll the reel back just a little bit. Allow me to say it. I'll be that old guy for right now. I do remember, Brother Nathan, a time that my grandpa would come into a seven, eight, nine week revival. Monday night, Tuesday night, Wednesday night, Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night, Sunday night. My granny be hauling the kids out the door as my grandpa was coming in the door to change his shirt, splash a little water on his face. He didn't even have time to go through the shower. He didn't have time to get a bath. He barely had time to brush his teeth. But I was born and raised on that understanding that my grandparents said, "You know what? It don't matter about that. It doesn't matter about this. What it does matter is that I got these babies in the house of the Lord and there's something happening in their lives." Come on. I've come to tell you, yeah, you want true confession. I've come to tell you, my mother was the only one out of five kids that live for the Lord. The rest of them probably love God, yeah, they probably knew who God was. Yeah. But it was my mom that decided, I believe in this and I give to this and I support this. And it was her marrying a man that knew nothing about it and him finally decided, you know what? I'm going to believe that God can do something even in my life. And I don't understand nothing about it. It was that decision that my father made as a young man with a box of Viceroys in his pocket, walking into the house one day, opening the top drawer of his dresser, taking the cigarettes and throwing them in and shutting it. I'll never touch them again. Why not, Dad? Because that's a bad habit to teach my wonderful kids. Therefore, when the doors are open of church, I'm going. We're not going to complain and belly ache. We're not going to whine and wonder about it. We're not even going to stop and decide if work is more important than God. Come on, somebody. You men need to raise up a situation in your life where you can say, uh, it is worth fighting to be in the house of God. Uh, more than it is to raise a dollar to put food on my table. Let me pass you for a moment. I've come to tell you, I know what it's like to eat cinnamon toast and be thankful for it. I know what it's like to have oatmeal for supper. I'm not complaining about it. I'm thankful I had a lovely wife to eat it with. But I will tell you this. The faithfulness of God uh was yay and amen. Let me help you. Let me help you. Let me help you. Do you need to support your family? Yes, you do. But more than a dollar bill is a time in prayer in the altar. Be mad if you want to. I'm telling you, I don't want to stand at judgment one day and the Lord say, "Where are they? I get it. I'm watching clock. Brother John. Come on. Let's at least get this motion going. But pastor, if we're going to build a church, we're going to need money. And that's what comes from my job. Absolutely. Absolutely. But every man listening to my voice online or in person, you don't deserve the job you have. You ain't smart enough, talented enough. There's too many other people out there that can do better than you. But is it is of the mercies of God that he says, "I got you. I'm opening doors for you." Come on. I could go around this room right now, man. There's so many of you guys. I could tell your testimony, but I won't. Everybody else at work was handed a pink slip. They came in and offered me a raise. I applied for a job just because I needed something else to do and I got it. Making more money now than I was working much harder. I'm just having to think a little different. Come on. That's just That's just the That's just the dollars. That's just the dollars. Do you have to make tough choices? Absolutely. But the glory of God is weighty. It's heavy. Come on. You got to make some decisions. It's okay to miss a dollar to get into the presence of God. My fear, Brother Sam, is the next generation won't know how to worship God because fathers are forgetting to teach them.

My son could kick a soccer ball like nobody's business. He was that big around. He had lungs that were bags. He could run 45 minutes and a half. And [sighs and panting] I was tired. What? And he loved the sport. Loved it. Loved it. To this day, he talks about it because he was a little guy learning that sport. It's just I'm telling my story. You got your own. He started playing for a select team where he got to sign up. We had to travel. Anybody know anything about that traveling team? There's a lot of commitment there. Guess when his matches were weekends and then what? Yeah. Hey dad, I got a match this Sunday. Okay, buddy. Got church at 10:00. Dad, I'm I'm good at it. I know you are, buddy. But Dad, they're depending on me. I know they are. and I'm gonna do everything I can do to have you there. But you listen to me, buddy. Family, y'all. Okay, men, you listen. He had matches in Atlanta. I vividly remember. Finished the second match. They advanced to the third. I said, "Buddy, we got to go. Dad, this next one is a champion." I know, pal. I'm going to go tell talk to your coach. Hey, coach, listen. Steven's got to go. What? Why? We have church in a couple hours and I got an hour and a half drive to get there. Church? Yes, sir. Listen to me, coach. When we get in this car over here, you may or may not be his coach, but I will still be his father, and I'm going to teach him the importance being in the house of the Lord. I went to his football coach one time. Hey coach, this Friday night we have a youth event. Stephen's not going to be able to make it. Youth event? What kind of youth event? It's at our church. Oh, he needs to be part of the team. He is when we leave this place. You may or may not be his coach, but I will be his father. Well, you do what you got to do. I already have. We're making plans to be there. Well, then why'd you tell me? Because I'm trying to teach him. Listen to me. Listen to me. I I didn't ne neglect him from playing sports. Now, back in my generation, I'm not mad about that. I learned so many things from that. So, my bride and I, we decided when it comes to that, we're going to teach our children how to be the house. Did they ever miss? Yeah, they they occasionally just, you know, was it was what it was and it's how it went. Funny, one time Stephen went to a match, it was too far to come back and so he didn't make it to church. Presley, guess what they did that match? They lost. Wasn't because of me. It wasn't because of him. They lost. I said, he said, "Dad, I wish I had just come home. Was you there? Did you have a good time? Yeah, but we lost. It's not if you win or lose, it's how you play the game. That ain't true. That was true. You wouldn't keep score. I'm just telling you. Otherwise, it'd be Wouldn't that cool watch them run for an hour? Listen to me. Listen to me, man. I'm trying to get into your heart for a second. The glory of God is heavy. It's heavy. It's weighted. But through Jesus Christ coming into your life, you can carry that weight and you can be an example to those around you.

A two-year-old yesterday slides up next to my wife, sitting on the couch, but they're getting ready for bed. We're babysitting. Brother Daniel, sorry, buddy. We had grandb babies yesterday. It's two and a half. Nikki, I want Jesus to live my heart. You put a price on that. Now, she's already said age four her daddy said she could get baptized. Poppy right now is rolling up his sleeves. I may or may not get to baptize her. Not rolling up my sleeves for that. But Sam, I'm rolling my sleeves. Devil, God gets glory in this, not you. God's getting glory in this. My little grandson sound asleep right there now. He's going to come to the altar one day. His little eyes are going to squish all this water out of it. And he's going to wonder why he can't hold his tongue. And Poppy's going to be there if Lord left me. And I'm going to say that's what it is. This is so heavy. I will not give it to someone else to carry. But the glory of God is waiting. But it will be that day when the trump shall sound. those who are alive, they'll be caught up with those who are dead. We're going to go and we're going to meet him in the air. And all of that heaviness will give us the power we need to get off this earth. Listen to me careful. I close. The greater testimony, Dad, is that you leave a heritage of godly power and purpose. Stop trying to provide for your children and your family what they need in this worth earth, but give them God's glory. And watch how God begins to provide and to move in their lives. That means I don't have to work for it. Absolutely. You got to work twice as hard. But every day you'll be able to stand and say, "Lord, look what you've done in my life. Look what you've done in my children. Look how you've blessed.

Lord, would you stand with me, please? He is glorious. It's heavy. It's weighted, but it has a purpose.

Last year, we spent the entirety of the year talking about the tabernacle, and I I learned so much about it. The veil that separated the holy and the most holy. Brother Rob, it wasn't a curtain, five to six inches thick. It could have been because the way it was weaved and woven and put together. Imagine carrying that weighty object. And they needed that to go over all the stuff that was behind that called the Holy of Holies because you couldn't see that stuff and live. How many's glad for the heavy heavy separation of the Lord? Man,

I want to pray with you right now. Would you close your eyes and lift your hands? Jesus, we want to be greater men. We we want to be greater men. We want to be men of principle, men of power, men of prayer, men of passion. You know us, Lord. After all, you created us and gave us life. in this place today, Lord, for this next generation. It's going to take so much. So much. I pray Lord that we rise to the occasion and as men at CAC where we become the worshippers we should be with strength Lord to be able to lift the heaviness the weightedness of your glory and stand in your presence Lord loving you and serving you with gladness with singleness of heart with joy and unified in our efforts man I want to invite you to come to an altar would you be the leader today would You please man, would you come? Men, would you come? Come on, men. This world needs prayer warriors. This church needs prayer warriors. Men that'll swing a sword in the midst of battle. Men that will declare the goodness and the mercy of God. Come on, men. Find your place. Kneel before the Lord. Lift holy hands to him without wrath or doubting. Trusting the Lord that if your wives can serve God, you can serve God. If your children can serve God, you can serve God. Come on, men. Pray. Pray. Come on. Put a prayer in your mouth right now. Lord Jesus, I need you. Come on, men, ladies, where you are right now, would you pray? God, anoint the men of our church. Let them be greater men. Men, Lord, that will have faith to believe you for the miraculous. Oh, come on, men. This ain't going to happen because of your last name or your pedigree. It's going to happen because you get up under the weight of his glory. You understand the heaviness of it and you make a decision. I will be what God wants me to be in this hour. Glory. Glory. Glory. Come on, men. Open your mouth. Pray. Open your mouth. Pray. In the name of Jesus. Oh, that's right, men. Come on. Oh, God. Help me to be the man that I need to be in this hour. a greater man. Lord, help me, God, in spite of all that I face that I stand firm in who I am in you. I dig deeper. I work harder. It takes longer, but I commit it to you. Come on, men. Come on, men. Ladies, if you want to come to the altar, would you come? Come on. Support these men. Come on. Maybe families can gather with your families and pray over them. Jesus. Jesus. That's right. Come on, pray. The name of Jesus. Oh, come on. In the name of Jesus. Oh, that's right. That tried. That's right. That tried. That's right. Glorify the Lord. Come on, somebody. Come on. There is outpouring in this house today. There is outpouring in this place today. There is glory, manifestation of the spirit of God in this room. Come on men, break through it. Break through the fear. Go past the intimidation. I come in the name of Jesus. I come in the name of Jesus. Oh God, my God, how wonderful is your name. That's right, men. That's right, men. Pray. Pray. Come on. Fight the battle for your families. Feel the weight of the glory of God. That's right. That's right. That's right, man. Yes. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Jesus. Oh, come on me and get a hold of God. Help me today, Lord. Help me, Lord, to understand the value of the weight, the value of the heaviness of your glory. Oh, that's right. That's right. That's right. Jesus. Jesus. It is manifested in you, Jesus. Glorious. You are glorious Lord. You are glorious Lord. Oh, come on men. Come on, men. Get a hold of it. I must do, God. I must. I must, Lord, for your glory. Generations are looking to you, Jesus. Oh, come on, pray. Pray right now. Get a hold of somebody. Pray with them. The name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. Yeah. I believe in you, Lord. I believe in you, Lord. Jesus. Jesus. Holy God. Holy God. Holy God. Glorious Savior. Hallelujah.

Now I realize in my investigation I discovered there's so many ways to say glory there. The glory fills the room. Glory to God. Glorify your name. But all the references have nothing to do with you. It has everything to do with how big that you allow God to be in your life. What the angels declared to the shepherds, "Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, goodwill to men." What they were saying was, "Lift your vision, men. Lift your vision." When we say from this podium even, come on, let's glorify the Lord. And you say, "Glory to God." Glory to God. What you're saying is, God, you're bigger than I can ever be. And I acknowledge the fact that you're great. And I feel that weight because if I ever think that I am beside you, or in front of you, behind you, God, then I've missed the weight. I've missed the responsibility of the heaviness of the glory of God. He truly is glorious.

Men, before we leave, I want you to get up next to another man. Come on. This is a man battle right now. Greater men. That's what the Lord's trying to do for us. Come on, men. Get a hold of another man. Pray for them right now. Come on, pray for them. Come on, ladies. You pray right now, too. Come on, men. Get a hold of somebody close to you. Yeah. Jesus, anoint my brother today. Lord, I pray that you would put something in them that gives them courage to make right choices and good decisions. Help them, Lord, every day to make choices that will lead closer to you. Come on, men. That's right. Anoint, Lord, my brother, today. Ignite a fire within them, Lord, to be greater men. A greater man, Lord, for this hour. Come on. the name of Jesus. Pray. Pray me in one for another. Come on. This isn't halfhazard. It isn't just a good thought. It's the actual moving of God's spirit through his glory. That's right. Men of honor. Men of honor. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Oh, we need to see the glory of the Lord. Every child in this room, Lord, they don't need to see more stuff. They need to see more glory. Understand the weight of it. Understand the heaviness of it. From the beginning, Lord, you separated things and you put order to it because your spirit moved into it, overshadowed it. Your glory demonstrated. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

Do you love the Lord today? Do you love the Lord today? Has he be good to you, man? Huh? Man, when you leave here today, you're probably going to have to go home and take the trash out. Probably going to have to pay for lunch for your family. I don't know. You may even have to go get the purse out of your wife's car cuz she I don't know. It's not a question of your manliness. It's a question of who you are under the weight of who God is. I I will I want to help you, man. I want to set your mind at ease. Please listen to pastor for a moment before you leave. You are not all of that in a box of cracker jacks. Contrary to what the enemy might be trying to tell you that you got it all together, man. I need you in my life. You need me in your life. And I pray you never get tired of the day that your pastor's trying to help you. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Keep moving. Keep going. Come on. I love you and I believe in you and I believe God's got great things in store for you. I've seen such incredible growth out of these men. I'm just trying to keep the devil at bay. Devil, leave him alone. The glory of the Lord is upon the men of the church. Jesus.

Come on, church. Pray with me. Keep us, Lord. Show us your glory. And as we see your glory, we feel the weight of it. God, anoint these men to be men that will be victorious every day. Every day. Victorious through the blood of the lamb.
