God's Purpose in Creation

do you have a Bible tonight you'll be meeting it last week of course this whole month what I'm talking about is for the Durrant if you'll help me let's put Acts chapter one up there please this this is our launching verse Acts chapter 1 verse number 1 we'll begin there but last anybody remember what we talked about last week the uniqueness of Christianity how that Christianity is very unique in that it is all about Jesus but not only that it's all about Jesus all right and you can confirm new testament old testament revelation genesis everything in between it's all about him tonight we're going to continue with they are infallible proofs series and tonight I'm going to talk about God's purpose in creation let's read this together here verse 1 the former treaties have I made oath the awfulness of all that Jesus began both to do and teach verse 2 until the day in which he was taken up after that he through the Holy Ghost had given Commandments unto the Apostles whom he had chosen verse 3 thank you many infallible proofs he did this after he died went to the cross came out of the grave forty days he was demonstrating teaching instructing pouring into these followers he was spending time trying to make sure that they understood what was about to transpire now the reason I felt so compelled to put together this series of lessons is because I'm convinced that in that forty days Jesus literally poured himself into these men and when he he instructed he taught he he kept over and over again trying to get them to understand it it was divine revelation coming to them why was that necessary why because they didn't have a Bible why else because they were going to need it there are things were about to happen that they had no clue literally they didn't know they didn't have even an inkling of an idea when they came out of the Upper Room that day about what was going to transpire I have no doubt that they probably thought they had Church come out of the upper room experience three thousand on the street speaking in tongues man we're having church and it wasn't long after that they figured out wow this ain't no fun at all they're chasing us they're trying to kill us they're trying to destroy us but look what God's doing we got good good good than bad and ups and downs and so forth all right they're learning and they're growing jesus knew that was going to be the case with them so he had to somehow without denial put things into them now tonight we're going to talk about I'm convinced that one of the lessons that Jesus spent time with was them with them was from Genesis connecting them from the beginning now we got to understand just like they did that God is infinite what does that mean without end he's look that way look that way that's God he's always been God before there was anything made that was made it was by his will by his choice that the earth and everything that it holds was created it was his plan it was his purpose everybody say God's say That's not me say his God's come on look at your neighbor and say this is God's plan we can see from science for an example in space space exploration that there's no other planet within our reach that can sustain life like the earth that was God's design and we may think that going to Mars is cool but there's no life on Mars we may think that the aliens come and they live amongst us with big old tall heads and green bodies but all we have reference to is God what he did on earth stay with me for a while tonight from its conception God's designed the earth in and of itself has moved in its exact pattern and purpose without deviation science again teaches us that if one measurement right left up down good in or out if the earth were to change closer to the Sun further from the Sun whatever its path is it would be catastrophic not just to earth but that to the entire universe that's how precise and exact God's plan was guess what still works today what kind of guarantee is that huh keeps on tickin that's exactly the way God designed it every living thing on the earth has a DNA the DNA the composition of that item that is on planet Earth it surpasses anything that has ever been studied to this date we understand that the basic molecules and makeup of tangible items in our world that we try to understand how things are made anybody here in school what are you learning you're learning what what someone else has been taught and they're relaying it to you right then they try something an experiment or whatever and guess what they learn they give it to someone else now what happens that someone else gives it to someone else does anybody here know who Alexander Graham Bell was we still talk about him today Henry Ford Bill Gates well with Tiger Woods yeah okay what I'm saying is is that we understand but in our training and in our knowledge that we gain here on planet earth we are learning from things that have already been accomplished from things that have already been studied and thought through that have already been designed and put into a book or put into a form we try to understand that we try to wrap our minds around it because as humans we have the ability to understand and to interact with the things that we hear that we touch that we smell that we taste anybody ever heard of those they're what they're the five senses that's how we respond on planet Earth that's how we interact with others that's how humans were created to know what's going on it's funny how that people try to try to do something else with their lives and they all go right back to the basic things they may hear like to eat well let me rephrase that does anyone else in here like to eat yeah and you judge what's a good meal by what taste smell maybe how it looks maybe what you hear you don't want to eat something that just come out of kitchen with a lot of screaming going on I'm just saying as humans we have wrapped ourselves into this world with our senses that's all we got but friend let me tell you something there is what's called a spiritual world there is a domain that God works in and that's his world that's his that's who he is God is a spirit that's the spiritual side that's what that's what God is and the cool thing about that is God is not limited to our as humans five senses what would be another sins what is it spiritual so that's what I just said but what would be another sins besides the five we just mentioned I don't know either it's why I'm asking truth is that's our limitation now we may stretch out here and there but it all will ultimately wrap itself around this but when you get into the supernatural spiritual world we got to understand God to understand spiritual things what do we need we need his explanation to us in order to grasp the spiritual side of life we can't simply just walk through with our five senses how many knows what it feels like to be full of the Holy Ghost explain that with your five senses will happen I was eating a hamburger know what he was you doing your flesh was submitting and yielding to God and what did he do bones hip saying there it is pile you're speaking in tongues you spirit of God's moving nothing to do its stay with me God knows that God knows that he knows exactly how we are built he also knows how he is Genesis 1 Genesis chapter 1 we're gonna start there and read through revelation be a couple of minutes time say weighted meter on don't don't fail me back there keep hitting that error right Genesis 1:27 somebody read that please with a loud voice out loud God created man in what whose image look at your neighbor come on look I'm smack square in the eyeball look at them come on look at your neighbor what are you looking at God created man in whose image what did you just do you just looked at an image that God made that looks like him man say I'm saying or see I'm saying her you see them saying you just thought it was that huh we are made in the image of God stay with me please just for a little while as humans we have emotions see but I was going to ask if you have emotions but I don't here we have a will we have a purpose we have a drive we have a desire we have plans if we have those things what does that indicate that most likely God has those things all right stay with me for a little bit here part of what God had in mind in the development of this world and everything that is in it is he wanted to have fellowship with what he created do you realize a cow was not made in the image of God sorry chick-fil-a a horse is not made in the image of God a Nephilim or woozle is not made in the image of God what is man humans that's what God did because of that the development of us here on planet Earth is because God said I want to be able to spend time with my creation I want to get to know all I want to I want to have connection with them stay with me for a little while tonight the way that we can study and understand the plan of God is when we understand where we're headed where we've been we can see the thread that wraps itself all through the scriptures all through the Word of God we find God's plan being fulfilled let's go to Revelation 21 I told you is going Genesis to Revelation revelation 21 and verse wants someone please read for me out loud stop a new heaven a new earth everybody say new everybody say new please keep reading stop we got a new heaven and new earth because something happened with here's a story the story's on we see how the connects happen to have continued please verse 2 someone stop John saw what he's looking now at what has been created as the new heaven I'm seeing this John saying I'm looking and this is what I'm seeing keep going please number three the scripture tells us at the end of the Bible that we use daily in our lives the the story as it begins to come to an end at this point we see this as something is transpiring old heaven older things happen to a new heaven new earth and then he begins to talk about a bride something coming down out of heaven establishing itself listen the reason this is there so important and the reason why John saw this while he was cast away if you will is because God was establishing with us through a word humans this is what's happening and the reason that in the beginning God created was for this moment because from the beginning understand God already had this thing together so the question again tonight that we're talking about is is God's purpose with creation although we as humans have been made in the Express image of God we as humans also have struggles in all areas of our lives and because of that we are alienated many times from God who is our Creator and sometimes it is the us and him many times the things have happened in our lives can I introduce somebody tonight in this study to this three-letter word that that has caused havoc on everything and it is simply this s I n sin came on the scene knowing that sin brought the unrighteousness the unlawful the selfishness the destructive actions of the sinful nature of man God created us in His image and then sin came on the scene I don't know if anybody realizes this but in 2,000 years since Christ if you will guess what's still alive in the world today Jesus Christ guess what else say it it's okay kids are in class what is it say it sin is in the world and the selfishness the destructiveness the the anger all of the things that are happening in humanity has happened from the beginning of time because when God created man in His image he had a plan and a purpose sin now comes on the scene and God now has to do something with sin God will not touch sin God has no part of sin listen to me as much as we are made in His image we understand sin I mean he knows when you've done wrong how do you know it was wrong how do you know it was wrong you what well how do you feel it Chris your conscience what's another word for your conscience your spirit when you know you've done wrong what's happened is the god thing that's working in your life is saying to you hey buddy hey your sinful nature is warring right now you ever asked forgiveness of a sin and God forgive you how does that feel have you ever wronged your brother or sister mom dad I was gonna say husband wife I don't get into any trouble you ever just every other wronged them and had to ask forgiveness if what happens if they didn't forgive you how did you feel probably a lot better didn't you how did you feel hundred times worse but what happened when they did forgive you how did that feel I felt like a weight lifted off your shoulders right especially the sledgehammers threw at you I'm joking about that why because sin when it comes on the scene it wars against what God is doing in your life and that sin is what's separating you from the God who made you in His image that's why on the cross of Calvary forgive them there has to be a powerful move a forgiveness that says remove from them the blame so that I can get close to them from the cross Father forgive them they don't know what they know not what they do what Jesus was establishing at that point and that moment was an ability to say I'm giving up the ghost I am headed to the pit I am going to conquer death I am going to overcome the grave I am going to walk all through hell and when I come out I will bring victory to the creation and what was separating them from me I will take it back and I will give them away to walk into the presence of God again Romans 3:23 we all know this one for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God sinned actions against God's will it has separated us from the glory of God it causes us to to not be able to go fully it shortens us it holds us back so here's the question and I'm sure most of you already have the answer because you're smarter than I why did God then allow sin to come into the world because God created all agreed so why did God allow sin to come into the world why didn't God just from the very beginning annihilate sin remove it get it away and then everything would be just fine agreed well here's a question for you before I go into these points that I want to make for those of you again let me just go through this for those of you again that are sitting under a teacher now while you're going through school you're learning what someone else's experiences someone else's experiments that they did things that they went through you're sitting there and you're taking all the notes you can and you're trying to pass the class so you could get out and make a million dollars a year whatever it is and what you're doing is is you are learning constantly stay with me and inside your spirit your mind your heart what's inside that the where you put the knowledge stuff is a continuous battle anybody who ever sat through a class and wish you weren't there yeah kind of like this one no huh have you ever sat through a class at school and said Wow well just why did you say that everything why did you say that because something inside of you is saying what I struggle with this I don't get this I don't understand this this is boring this makes no sense why do I need to know how to do math I don't ever use trigonometry I don't know why physics is so important I don't know why Jim is so important it was important to me came to tale we did basket weaving number one of my class archery number one in my class well I did sin enter the world what's happening in the classroom every day what's happening with us even as older adults as we learn you know what's happening there's a constant battle right here anybody here go to sleep last night yeah you woke up in the more you should be feeling good but what do you feel that's the weight of sin in your life I'm sorry you can come out about tell me if you correct me if I'm wrong please you can get up off your knees on a Sunday altar meeting snot all over shirt soaked through speaking in tongues for 30 minutes and walk right out that door and ten feet out there your mind be bombarded with junk why because sin came into this world so why did God allow that I'm glad you asked let's look at this number one why did God allow sin to enter the world number one is real fellowship must be a mutual condition therefore God gave us the free will to choose gave us the ability to make a choice understand if he was simply looking for worshipers he already got those they're called what angels what he wants is his creation to make a choice to say I love you I worship you I serve you I submit to you I glorify you even when I'm confused I love you even when it makes no sense I lift you up even when my life is falling apart at the seams I'm gonna say I love you Jesus that's one reason why sin came into the world because God wanted his creation to decide to serve him he could have just come down with their palm you're now my servant he you were - that's not what he wants he wants to see you in your life's worst situation say I still love you God to him that's like you mean you have the ability to choose to yield to sin and evil and destruction and and fear and doubt and all that but instead you step above it and say if you kill me I'm still gonna trust you that's one reason why sin came into the world another reason is God is omnipotent so the separation between himself on the impotent what's that mean what is it powerful thank you he's all-powerful so the separation between himself and mankind listen is a temporary thing all will stand before him on the day of judgment and all will give an account for their actions and their works only God has the power to act according to his word concerning the affairs of his creation when sin came on the scene God said I will be the judge no one else will be able to drop the gavel and say sorry that will be me the most important thing about that stick with me for a second is because if God said man would do it we already know the heart of man we already know the possibilities of a human and we know that if we can fail they can fail and if they can have bad thoughts we can have bad thoughts in it if they can have a bad week we can have a bad week and God said you know why sin came in know why let sin happen is number one I wanted there to be a mutual you're gonna obey you're gonna have this relationship you're gonna yield yourself to what I'm doing but number two is I got all the power and sin doesn't bother me therefore I'm gonna be the one that says you want to know how to get close to me I'll give you a word you want to know how things work in the spirit world I give you the word there ain't nobody gonna stand before him at that day and say now hold on a minute I didn't have that chapter why did sin why did God allow it to come into the world he wanted fellowship and he wanted you to choose to do it and number two is he is all-powerful and he was going to judge how you spent time with him the condition of the soul of man from Adam to right now every soul needs what a savior stay with me this is so powerful I am convinced that in the 40 days that Jesus was proving and teaching and demonstrating and instructing one of the things that he was having them to over and over to understand us he was imputing things to them as he was letting them to know everyone is going to need salvation they won't find it in a bottle they won't find it with a looter bt god somewhere they won't find it with idolatry they won't find it with little gods or other gods or their stuff or who they are or their health or their food they won't find it in anything but the one thing that can save them the one thing that can save the life the soul the purpose of man is God that's all so with that atheism materialism universalism they are simply removing the need for God and they don't have to subject themselves to anything therefore the end result to them is not important but one day because they were created they will stand before God they will not stand before their car if it has become there God they will not stand before their job if that has become their God they will not stand before their money before anything else they won't they will stand before the one who created them and gave them their will because of that salvation is what we need God's purpose in creation and everything that he did was to save the soul of man salvation listen to me if a salvation by works is man's way if I can do more if I can give more and if I can if I can if I can sacrifice more of what this and this and that it gets me to a place where I can at least be closer to God but sin is still there the nature of man has got to be changed by the power of his spirit that's why when you receive the wonderful gift of the Holy Ghost what changes in you you become a new creature you become somebody now that has the ability to stand in the presence of a holy God isn't it amazing that you can breathe the name Jesus and he's close to you you can call on him and you understand it but salvation by works to those who don't believe that God and that haven't yielded to God what they're saying is they can do what they want in hopes that it carves out a path to get to heaven it's as if they had made heaven themselves therefore they can carve out a path to heaven that comes by giving this or sacrificing that or or doing this or giving up this time or whatever works that it happens to be and the fact of the matter is is that there is no way listen there is no way that the created can work their way into God's plan God already has the plan established the only thing that man can do is allow the new ooh creature to work in the spirit world and let God change them how many knows the Holy Ghost to change you let's go to Roman's let's look at Romans chapter 3 verse 19 Romans three and nineteen somebody read here what Paul wrote to the church please Romans three and nineteen verse 20 by the law is the knowledge of sin so pastor if what if what you're if what is said here in Romans is the law is what lets you know what is sin the fact of the matter is is when you're born into this world as a baby you don't know a whole lot you have what's called involuntary muscles that are working breathing blinking crying sneezing whatever and then you begin to develop patterns by the reactions of those around you agreed you find out very quickly as a little guy you don't know this what you're doing is you're learning though that if you go man very soon after the ban will bottle becoming and sticking in your face and it's good yummy warm stuff huh it's amazing the baby doesn't even have to say say your mom beating my back a minute so I can belch doesn't he'll say it does he but what does every mom or dad do and it's just nature we just think that's the coolest thing no here's what gets me how am I telling you seeing how was good Logan you try it you belt see what your wife says go ahead yeah I'm good right why because it'll make sense now the fact is is that the nature the law has been established and you learn if you don't respond a certain way what's going to happen don't raise your hand if you may here we got her speeding ticket don't raise your hand what did you do you broke the and the police got you a ain't that nice of them took your picture and everything what the old school was picture taker was lights on the police car sorry for by the law is the knowledge of sin you know you do wrong because the law is established that's how you begin to learn things that's how your parents will teach you son don't do that way why cuz it's the law what law my loss smack okay got that learned that one do it again mm-hmm very good guess what you just did you got knowledge of wrong huh how many knows that with sin contra think actions thought things against God God will do the same thing it's called that conscience anybody might will not do that anymore you know the scripture gives us again a new testament that their conscience would be seared hot iron kind of no feeling no emotion no understanding what kind of world are we living in today god help us never never to get to the place that we've been seared let's go on here God Himself had to become man oh this is so cool God Himself had to become man because that man had to be sacrificed in order to fulfill the law that there had to be blood to cover sin men when Adam and Eve sinned in the garden what did God do God provided animal skins where did he get those animal skins from his creation blood had to go into the ground so that a skin could be provided to cover sin because the knowledge the law the knowledge of sin comes by understanding this and God had to become man so that a man could be sacrificed so that blood could cover the sins of mankind then had to be God coming in the flesh and giving his life for the sins of humanity in God's creation we know that the separation of man and God could only be reconciled by the word of God John 1 in the beginning was the word the Word was with God the Word was God the same was in the beginning with God all things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made in him was life and the life was the light of men and the light shine earth and darkness the darkness comprehended it not John and his gospel talking about Jesus in the beginning was the word everybody say the word the Word was with God everybody say the word and the Word was God anybody ever questioned versed to put that up for me would you anybody the same was in the beginning with God what does that mean the what okay somebody else you're close what does that mean verse 1 in the beginning was the word the word I'm watching the clock we're okay the Word was with God the Word was God okay that we get capital double use capital geez we get that the same was in the beginning with God can I help you go to verse 14 John 1 and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory the glory as of the only begotten of the Father full of grace and truth the Word was made flesh what was the flesh called that was the word everybody say it Jesus say it again come on don't be afraid say it again so can we say this in the beginning was the word the Word was with God the Word was God and Jesus was in the beginning with God Oh somebody just got revelation to talk to anybody who believes there's more one Jesus was there the word was made flesh dwelt among us that word wrapped in flesh is what we call Jesus it's the same stay with me minute the word that's in the beginning there was established because God knew there's going to have to come a time of reconciliation and because of that I'm gonna have to die so that I can be the blood that covers them but I'm God and I'm a spirit I can't die so what do I do I take this and I make it flesh it's right here it's me it's coming out of me the same word that in the beginning God created the heaven that that's word that's action that's what it is God said and what happened to Mary y'all are gonna be so blown away in a couple of weeks because we're gonna talk about the mighty God in Christ and there's about seventy nine thousand six hundred and twelve verses you're gonna have to read that night because I want you to understand fully that when the infallible proofs was this I've got to tell folks I got to instruct them I've got to demonstrate to them the power that they're gonna have to understand completely why because in 2018 they're gonna believe there's no such thing as God in 2018 they're going to think that a trees of God in 2018 they're gonna wrap their minds around the craziest silliest things that I can't even comprehend they're going to tell their children there's no such thing as a God and all the laws they're going to pass are gonna wrap themselves around it because they're no longer going to fear God in my line is that what's happening in our nature in our world the Lord knew that hey they're gonna want to they're going to want to kill you're gonna be like like like sheep going out amongst the wolves but stay strong why because what seeing you is stronger than what's out there so God's purpose in creation when John put these words together for an example in John first chapter he was helping us to understand that for us to understand completely that God in the pre creation state was the same God who was himself presented in the man Jesus Christ came to this world to reconcile the creation to himself you guys understand that before the spoken word of God ever happened God had the plan God had the plan I am NOT going to start this without having thought through A to Z I'm sorry let me use the biblical terms alpha 2 Omega beginning first so before any of this happened His Word made flesh was already there already in the plan already to do its job let's look at revelation 22 and 12 and I'm bringing the landing gear out doesn't mean much we're gonna circle for a minute and I'm joking revelation 22 and 12 somebody read this please verse 13 Jesus will come quickly and his reward will be we're with him he doesn't gut he's not gonna go somewhere and say all right let me go figure this up let me get my abacus out he's not gonna get his scientific you realize you get a calculator on here you can do it this way but if you want scientific you go this way not just that go he's not gonna stay in there and say oh this crazy thing he's not you're not gonna have to his reward is gonna be there we're with him I'm coming quickly quickly and I've got everything I need right now why what does that tell you about what God is doing right now that means right now God's eyeballs are on you I'm not gonna have to wonder or question or worry no I'm I got all I see I know yeah you know okay yeah oh yeah we don't know he don't it's there the soul of man has an eternal existence in one of two places and guess who made them both God God's purpose in creation was for his creation to fellowship with him for eternity what Jesus was so desperately instructing those that Luke wrote about in the book of Acts as he was telling them and you gotta get this guy's this is not about how you feel right now this is not at all about tomorrow you're gonna be okay but on Wednesday you're gonna lose your job or on Friday your bank accounts gonna be emptied or on Saturday somebody's gonna smack you and tell you they don't like you anymore your family's gonna hate you or or a friend is gonna tell you they don't want you anymore or something's gonna know what Jesus was you got to get this this has got to be in your spirit it's got to be in who you are when you wake in the morning I better be on your mind when you lay down at night I better be on your mind and all the steps that you take throughout the day I better be on your mind why is that because I'm coming quickly and my reward will be with me so the purpose in creation what now if it'd been up to you and I we probably said what do you know what I would have just eaten a the sin part but God said no I have not listened to him I have more confidence in my creation because I made them in my image many of us sitting here tonight right now if I were to say let's all stand and if it's just so happened that if I said right now let's all stand together and if it just so happened that God decided to blow the trumpet there would be no question you wouldn't give a second thought to your job to your house to your car taking the dog out feeding your kids making sure there was gas and it gonna be no ii would not even be a concern it'd be dope gone too but there are others that will stick their hands out not this way but this way hold on a second you know what God's gonna say you worry about it you just stood up you just stood up because you knew what it just happened but all the junk in your heart has separated us and you haven't yielded to to my purpose and plan you didn't you didn't give me everything in him and submit to me all things instead you held back and you're worried and you're fretted and you let the cares of life overwhelm you and you let the things that you couldn't control get in your way of loving and serving me and therefore you put so much effort and energy in your job and your finances and what you could control that you didn't even think now there's probably a day sometime in the year that you think about all that stuff most of the time we call that a good prayer meeting or or better yet better yet we call that communion all right let's take some time let's pray any lemonade corn you like oh god don't let me drink this thing and die tell me I'm lying come on serving God is a choice deciding to love the Lord and serve Him let his Spirit work in you that's why that he said I'm gonna bring you life and bring it to you more abundantly I'm gonna bring to you joy that's you can't even speak about but it's gonna be full of glory I'm gonna do things for you daily that you won't even understand because it's part of the benefits that I give you for that day I woke up this morning just like everybody else now my first cup of coffee may not has been as good as yours or the issues that I had to deal with today and flesh problems that we all deal with and try to keep in check your past mistakes and failures and junk and you got it once again beat them back under the blood if you will but I want you to know friend that God's purpose in creation was exactly that his purpose the infallible proofs you can't argue with their undeniable they don't change its simply who God is next week I hope I hope I hope you'll come back next week cause I'm gonna I'm gonna teach a lesson on another infallible proof and that is the Bible and science I am so stoked about that one see we live in a world that if you can't prove it to me of men it's on Hollywood's lips all the time it's on the world you know there's no such thing as a God if there was then we wouldn't have this or that or no I don't believe in this instead I'd rather believe the Big Bang and we're gonna talk about that next week science believe it or not there's 10 or 12 pages and they're single spaced I'm Chuck many infallible proofs stand with me would you I don't know maybe it's just me right now but holy ghost is here Jesus yeah that you are in control jeez hurts you are real you are here Jesus Jesus ela Dora kosher Jesus Jesus oh lift your hands and love him weren't you help us and God let us walk upright before you submitted our Jesus to you yeah maybe Lord it's all about YOU Jesus I love you Savior thank you thank you so much for being out tonight house of the Lord and let somebody know tonight that you're not as in control as you think you are you're not and you're making a bigger mess you just don't realize it all of your trying and all your efforts all you're doing is building a kingdom for yourself walls that you cannot control the outcome is not good but I'm reaching for you tonight with God the outcome is exactly right the best thing you can do is yield it to the Lord Jesus I'm Yours Lord everything I've got everything I am and everything that I am not I'm Yours I love you all thank you for being out tonight and don't forget prayer changing Saturday come spend time with the Lord you stay all day if you'd like and then son they were back here at 11:00 for Sunday school 12 o'clock worship I love you guys have a great rest of the week greet one another in the name of the Lord you're
