who were glad you're here thankful for the presence of the Lord that's in this house right now reach 2018 that was our message God was reaching us it was about us reaching him was about a church reaching the world we gathered on this campus for the last past 52 weeks with a goal in mind to grow and to learn every day as the return of our Savior gets closer and closer and closer Doron every service would usher us into a place of worship along with his singers and his musicians Cathy every Sunday had teachers on staff that they were ready and willing to impact their lives of their students with a word LeBron and Jessica had a team out in the foyer every Sunday ready to welcome newcomers to CAC Horton and Cheston II they would coordinate youth activities and functions and Eunice would help the ladies to reach their potential and David was in place with the men cornerstone apostolic Stacey was keeping us in a mode of Prayer for needs around the globe and at home connect group leaders like Christian with the - group and Logan and Whitney with our young families office workers keeping up with finances and trying to keep up with me all in an effort to reach Chattanooga and our world streaming services online trying to streamline the services here in the house people in the parking lot making sure we're safe people washing out trash cans floors and bathrooms being cleaned and rearranged greater small it takes all of us to make an impact on our world in this hour I wish you'd look at your neighbor and say thank you come on tell somebody thank you to everyone of you may the Lord richly bless you but I've come today if I could to simply say this keep up the good fight keep moving forward in the battle keep reaching keep believing for revival in this generation you sunday school teachers you singers you musicians you workers whatever position you are in you need to know something you're making a difference in your world I said you're making a difference in your world now we begin a new year we continue with a momentum into another year of great possibilities only God knows himself the results of your efforts we do know that know that every soul matters to God and every soul has the potential to change their world I stand here today as pastor of this assembly and I declare that what God is wanting in us I declare that what we are striving for I declare it is worth every moment of every time that you have invested anything hear me please all of the music practices it's worth it every memory verse teachers are trying to get your kids to memorize it's worth it all of you teachers helpers trying to pour glass of juice it's worth it hear what I'm saying all the decorating of classrooms it's worth it listen to me every prayer that you've ever prayed it's worth it every meal that you've ever fasted it's worth it why because it is all pointing to one thing and that is what we're doing this year heaven heaven a word that once held a sacred place in the heart of man in the heart of the church a place of cold heaven that was talked about in the scriptures but our world seems to have forgotten seems to have had a memory loss about the mystery heaven the unknowns the what about this the vastness and the expanse of heaven but I stand here today one more time and I sound yet another alarm to dis generation heaven is still real heaven is still the goal won't be sidetracked with this world and the distractions of your day to day but remember heaven is still where we're going I've come to declare anybody listening to this preacher right now there's still a heaven to gain and a hell to shun there's still a place that God has prepared for those that are looking for him listen to me it's not about this world this present world than what we've got here but there's such a greater place heaven hallelujah John started it this way in his ministry in Matthew chapter 3 verse 1 in those days Came John the Baptist preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying repent ye for the kingdom of heaven is at hand repent turn from your sinful ways why because there's a heaven out there Jesus echoed the words Matthew 4:17 from that time Jesus began to preach and to say repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand everybody say heaven heaven is closed heaven is nearer than you can even imagine heaven is out there friend of mine get it drawing closer to the Church of this hour there are places in this great planet that are a majestic and all inspiring no doubt every single one of you could tell us of a place that you've been that was an amazing place maybe it's a mountain somewhere that you saw or a valley that dipped way low it could be that it's a sandy beach or sand dune of a desert it might be that there's animals and creatures involved in it it could be that it's cities and skyscrapers and skylines and in some way there is beauty and amazement and inspiration to all of them but I stand here today at this podium and I declare but heaven but heaven a place that no one has ever been to him and I'm saying yet a place that we all want to go to the rider the Corinthians said it in first Corinthians chapter 2 verse number 9 but as it is written eye hath not seen nor ear heard neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for them that love him I don't know about you but I want the things of God to be active in my life I want the blessings of God to be poured out on my life and I've got to realize if I'm going to make heaven my home I've got to do what I've got to do to follow a God telling me to do God has things in place for all of us and there are things in heaven that you can not even imagine his plan from the beginning has been heaven hmm in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth let's look what the rider says in the book of Apocalypse the book of Revelation chapter 21 I will begin at verse number 10 and he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain and showed me that great city the holy Jerusalem descending out of heaven from God having the glory of God her light was like her the stone most precious even like a Jasper stone clear as crystal and had a wall great and high and had twelve gates and gates twelve angels and names written thereon which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel on the east three gates on the North three gates on the South three gates on the west three gates though all of the city had twelve foundations and in them the names of the Twelve Apostles of the Lamb and he that talked with me had a gold and reed to measure the city the gates thereof and the wall thereof and the city lieth Foursquare and the length is as large as the breadth and he measured the city with a reed twelve thousand furlongs the length and the breadth and the height of all equal and he measured the wall thereof a hundred and forty-four cubits according to the measure of a man that is of the angel the building of the wall is it was Jasper the city was pure gold like him the clear glass heavens a place that you and I cannot even imagine and yet a writer sat down with pen and paper if you will and try to tell us what to expect in that particular place come today to this podium to declare in 2019 that heaven is for those who are prepared and ready there is no way to sneak into heaven there is no entrance into heaven except him we are going to spend time in this year looking at that place I don't know about you but I am so excited why because this world is not my home I am simply passing through my treasures are laid up somewhere else somebody knows his song beyond the blue the angels beckon me from heavens open door and I just can't feel at home in this world anymore I'm telling you friends we're gonna talk about it as much as we can why because heaven is near it's gotta be something that wakes you in the midnight hour with expectancy it's not listen to me it's gotta be something that when you hear a tune or a tone of a trumpet that your ear perks up and says was that the sound of the last Trump am I about to be carried out of this place should I not put gas in my car cuz I'm fixin to go it ought to be something that causes you to say there's nobody at the church house yet does that mean the rapture happened oh there comes somebody right there oh it's the pastor's wife yeah sister Michelle still here we're all still good now the pastor were gone we wouldn't think much of it but I come to tell somebody if we get excited about heaven you what will change coming at the house of the Lord will change you'll be more concerned about the choices that you make you'll be more concerned about your coworker and your family member if you keep talking about heaven you keep bringing it up heaven is near happiness near heaven is near heaven is near when you talk about it when you teach about it when you preach about it when you really understand heaven is close at hand first Corinthians chapter number 15 when we begin reading at verse number 51 behold I show you a mystery mmm everybody say mystery didn't say mystical it said a mystery something to ponder something to question something to scratch the coconut about I'll show you a mystery we shall not all sleep but we shall all be changed in a moment is nobody else understand these verses in a moment in the twinkling of an eye at the last Trump no pun intended for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible and we shall be changed for this corruptible must put on incorruption and this mortal must put on immortality so when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption and this mortal shall have put on immortality then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written death is swallowed up in victory I'm telling somebody today that there's something happening in the world in which we live the darkness the questions the confusion no people wondering what's going on it up here's that everything has been unleashed it appears that the Devils are rising up in power and he's taking over people's minds he's taken over schools he's taking over politicians he's taken over this and that but I declare the Council of the Lord and it says simply this that there is gonna be a changing that's a corruptible and a mortal is gonna be changed to a place that it's gonna be different than you can ever imagine or think churches arise in this podium today and I declare heaven is in view and I'm watching for it I'm listening for it I'm deciding that death is gonna be swallowed up I've not got to worry about what they're doing now I've got to concern myself with the bare end of the end I don't know about you friends but the longer I live the more I realize that I need Jesus now more than ever before I wish you'd elbow your neighbors say you need Jesus he's coming back to take us to a place that is prepared for us death is done away with and the dead that are alive are caught up together with those that are already gone but the Word of God has already established it that will forever be with him in heaven I'm declaring today from this podium that for the next 52 weeks we're gonna talk about heaven we're gonna consider heaven I want somebody to know that heaven needs to be a word on your heart and on your mind so that when somebody at your work or somebody in your family begins to bellyache moan and complain and say I don't know what's gonna happen I don't know what this is coming to to you yes I do it's a place called heaven oh yeah what is that all about it's more than just a place of Sam it's more than just a place of tranquility it's more than just a place where you can bend your leg around your head and feel like you've done something it's something that says I am born with the Pricer the Holy Ghost powers in my life I'm looking for his return I'm not settling for here and now what I'm looking for him please understand pastor today your young folk you're giving yourself to study to better yourself and I'm all for it you need to oh your parents say that's right come on parents you say listen to Pastor you need an step then you need to know that being baptized in the only saving name of Jesus puts you under the blood if you will in baptism and you just died to that old man the sins of your life are remitted and washed away but aren't you glad he doesn't just leave you there but then he let you know hey I want you to know my spirits in you how do I know that listen to what you're saying and as you begin to yield a hundred percent and the tears are streaming down your face something's gonna happen and you'll begin to speak in a heavenly language as the Spirit gives utterance and beyond the shadow of any doubt your countenance will change your thought and your intent will change hey Ivan you come too late to tell me it don't happen that way yeah I've seen it time and time again just as little McKay you just a few moments ago during this 21 days to pray for your pastor pray that God will give me a lovely wife some wisdom and direction I'm trying to lead this church you want to know why because I feel so compelled and so strong that the Lord God realizes what it's going to take for this generation and I know that I know beyond the shadow of any doubt that there will come from this podium what the old-timers called Hellfire and brimstone messages why because hell is a place you do not want to go I don't care what a talk-show host may do what taking a microphone to a street and asking people is there still a place called hell or zero place called heaven and half and a ninety percent of Americans go huh-uh no matter - I'm sorry it's still real the Bible still true the angels of the Lord are still standing waiting at bay for the mouth of God to say blow the trumpet I want my bride to come home it didn't take him two thousand years to put the place together to receive you he already has that okay he already has that but you've got to make a decision Lord am I willing to trade heaven for hell I'm not going to today take time to talk about Hell and the weeping and the gnashing and the wailing and the crying and the falling and the twisting and the burning and never be destroyed you just hurt constantly pain suffering sorrow always not going to spend time talking about that today I'm simply going to tell you there is a heaven to gain and today in this house as we begin 2019 I come to a close heaven it's where I'm going heaven is why I stand here week after week heaven is why we opened the doors heaven is why we have outreach heaven is why we have things happen heaven is why we have department leaders heaven is why we have young people learning who has heaven is why we have - kids going to conferences and place heaven is why the ladies are spending time at ladies compass heaven has been while we're starting to work over a new door heaven is heaven is what it's all about why the only reason that we are doing what we do for the kingdom is because john preached it jesus preached it the kingdom of heaven is at hand oh pastor they've been talking about that for generations heaven is near heaven is near jesus is coming the raptures happened that's right that means every day we are closer every day we are closer there's anybody in here who has the ability to read and study and realize where we are living in this generation you will realize the things happening in the Word of God are happening to bring us to the place where heaven welcomes us home now if you're here today you don't yet have that wonderful holy spirit working in your life today's your day I would not walk out of this place alone I would not yeah oh sure I would not I would not I would not I would do everything within my power if I were you to pray and ask God to change you forgive you and wash you it could be today that you've got the Holy Ghost it could be that you've been baptized but yet you've gone cold and indifferent and negligent are the things of God I want you to know that sin will not enter into heaven's gates you'll not take it there that's not welcome and I don't care how much you want to justify what you say and what you do the Word of God is still the Word of God oh but you don't know but you don't have what who you're gonna justify anything with when our Savior hung on a cross and said forgive them who you gonna justify things with when he said they don't even know what they're doing forgive him I stand here today and I declare heaven is near I want you to stand with me please all over this place stand with me I want you to slip your hands to heaven if you will begin to call on the name of Jesus right now come on it's prayer time call on the
