come I'll pray with me one more time get your Bible out we're gonna go there Lord Jesus we love you today Jesus we are reminded one more time of your goodness your grace of your mercy of your loving kindness to us thank you Lord one more opportunity to come together to use us to worship and love and lift you up I pray Lord on this Sunday I pray God right now that the anointing of the Lord would move and whatever shape form or fashion that you decide once again Lord I'll make myself available to you I need you Jesus and I love you the name of the Lord God be exalted in all things in Jesus name we lift you up we bless your name and we praise you forever and forever amen amen amen thank you singers and musicians thank you for the technical staff that's here helping with this I'm believing that God is going to bless and honor the efforts of the people of God amen well more time on and welcome you to the word of the Lord we are here at this week before the celebration of Easter in the religious world this Sunday where we are right now is known as Palm Sunday it's an interesting and yet compelling meaning of what happens when a group of people are hungry for something better for something different how can I say that because as you sit here today in your cozy couch or leaned back in your comfortable recliner we are in the midst of probably a very difficult and tough possibly even the toughest time in your life your workplace has sent you home the stores are running low on some of their supplies kids are out of school and on and on and on we could look at the situation in just the past week and even to where we are today quite honestly your life has been turned upside down now the fact is is that maybe very difficult or some of you may be loving it some of you may be enjoying it but suffice it to say that things have indeed changed I am sure that right now under the sound of my voice whoever you are wherever you are I I realize right now that you could probably use a little bit of good news right now now I realize that it might not seem like Easter season but in this time of the spring wean this season of life there is new life and there is new vision springtime it it always it begins with a show of new growth and flowers and leaves on the trees and the birds are singing just a little bit louder though the weather begins to warm up through the day and and with that of course the long frowns of winter begin to fade away in Easter it's a wonderful wonderful time of the year so this week leading up to what we will call resurrection morning next week on Easter I want you to know that heaven only knows what this week coming is going to bring to you I wish I could stand here today and tell you that when you get out of bed in the morning that everything is going to be just like it used to be but I do not have that power and I do not have that insight do any of you know but the fact of the matter is one thing I can say I need the resurrection power of a Savior today just like I did a year ago today please allow me if you will let me refresh in your mind a very incredible story in history you find it in the book of John in your Bible chapter number 12 verse number 9 the New Testament John chapter number 12 verse number 9 the Bible simply tells us this much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there and they came not for Jesus's sake only but that they might see Lazarus also whom he had raised from the dead verse Tim but the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death verse 11 because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away and believed on Jesus in this story that we read in the book of John in the Gospel of John we see that Jesus is once again visiting in a very familiar house he's visiting with very familiar people but also in this particular environment where he is there are those who had come to simply lay eyes on a miracle Lazarus was there you remember that story Lazarus according to the Word of God something very incredible happened to him a very magnificent mind-blowing miracle had transpired but the story here in John says that the chief priests the the religious folk the leaders of that day they didn't want to just come and simply deal with Jesus but in their mind and in the plan that they have come together within their heart they decided if we're ever gonna snuff out this Jesus we're gonna have to do away with his miracles as well so all of this was in an attempt to wipe away the belief in the understanding of the Messiah Jesus had in his hand the power to do so much with his voice he had demonstrated he could control the atmosphere his command evade all things around him yielded to that voice yet in the middle of his greatness in the middle of the miraculous in the middle of all that was going on that Jesus was doing there were religious folk that were upset because Jesus had done the impossible and now the priests they're simply trying to erase and eradicate the evidence but I come today to tell you that because of the miraculous that Jesus has done the Bible said that the followers of Jesus grew that multitudes of Jews began to believe in the Messiah understand the significance here as Jesus was doing miracle after miracle he is in this particular house on this particular day and people around him are looking at him and they're deciding this man has a power and an authority that we have not seen heretofore I've come today to tell you that when Jesus is on the scene the atmosphere begins to electrify if you will things begin to happen when G shows up on the scene let me show you continuing in John chapter 12 verse number 12 says this on the next day much people were come to the feast when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem verse 13 notice what they did they took branches of palm trees and went forth to meet him and cried Hosanna blessed is the king of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord I'm telling you when Jesus is on the scene there's no telling what can transpire and in the middle of what the religious folks were trying to snuff out the witness and the testimony of the Almighty God in flesh you need to know the people that were listening to him they began to realize who he was and they screamed and cried they begin to worship and love him why because this parade of sorts if you will of Jesus coming into town on a donkey it provided somebody with an idea to say I'm gonna wave a branch and I'm gonna sing Hosanna the word Hosanna it's used as a Hebrew word it's also used in the Aramaic language of that day also the Greeks have an equivalent word and it simply means this Hosanna signifies save us now Jesus was being lifted and the unification of worship and word was going forth and what the multitude was saying was simply this Jesus we need salvation Jesus we proclaim it in Martha we need a Salvation now blessed is the king of Israel that comes in the name of the Lord remember who is singing this to him remember the group that's gathered on the streets if you will they are of the lineage of David they are their understanding full well the history of their nation that David was the king of Israel and many proclaimed by the multitude how that David was one of the greatest Kings ever but now they're proclaiming Hosanna save us this is the Jesus the Messiah the one that we have been looking for and as they begin to wave palms on that day they were giving a wave offering a Old Testament throw back if you will um to the Lord God saying salvation has come to us now on this April Sunday I am here to bring a simple reminder to each one of us Jesus Christ remains the king of kings we need him now in our lives more than ever before in all of your confusion and in the midst of the unknowns going on in your home you need to save him I need a Savior you are in search of a power and a presence that can change all of your situation you need to know that dealing day-to-day with the things that's going on right now in 2020 there is a God that can handle any of them and you need to know that giving to him praise right now in the midst of your concerns and your question is the best thing that you can do friend knowing that I need a Savior and Jesus you're the one that can save me on this Palm Sunday I am here to breathe a word of Hope into your life I challenge you right now wherever you are situated at your table on your couch in your car on your job wherever you are right now I'm challenging I'm and I'm imploring you right now please would you begin to worship the name of the Lord God come on you can do just like they did in that day you can cry Hosanna I need a Savior come on try it right now lift your voice come on kids you can do it mom and dad you can do it Hosanna salvation comes in your name it's the same words that you can read in this account understanding listen carefully please that it was the exact words that the Angels used when they announced to the Shepherd's on that night in the city of Bethlehem Luke 19 says this Luke chapter 19 verse 37 and when he was come nigh even now at the descent of the Mount of Olives the whole multitude of disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen listen what they said saying blessed be the king that cometh in the name of the Lord peace in heaven and glory in the highest did you see assemblance there did you see what happened there when the angels proclaimed the birth of this Christ child the proclamation was peace on earth goodwill to men glory to God and the highest you read the Christmas story and hear leading us into the week of Easter notice what they're broke Oh God we come to love you blessed be the king that cometh in the name of the Lord peace in heaven and glory in the highest I've come to remind somebody on this Palm Sunday that in all of the story that unfolds at this moment in everything that's leading up to the Cris crucifixion of Jesus Christ that we're gonna look at the remainder of this week you need to know something from Jesus his still salvation and without him you've got no hope hear me now without him you've got no way to heaven listen to me without the Word of God working in your life daily you don't know where to turn you don't know what's gonna happen next there is something about the name of Jesus there is something about worshipping and crying Jesus Messiah Lord of lords would you come and save me I invite you today on this Palm Sunday if you don't know who Jesus is you can know him as your salvation it begins with that repentance turning around from the life that you're in asking forgiveness letting your heart reminisce of all the bad you've done but then realizing that as you bring it to the Lord he can forgive you of those sins repentance yeah you're gonna cry probably because the more you realize you need salvation the more you're gonna realize how much that you have missed repentance and then once you've repented and decided to turn around and make a change that's the thing you do in your mind and in your heart then the scripture reveals to us baptism is necessary in the name the only saving name of Jesus Christ it's the way they baptize in the New Testament it's the way the book of Acts was founded they repented they were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission washing moving away of those old sins and today I want you to know that his spirit can come and it can reside in you you can receive the wonderful gift of the Holy Ghost you'll know it's there because your life will be transformed and you'll have evidence that his Spirit is working in your life as you begin to speak in a heavenly language your tongue begins to move things begin to happen it's not strange or weird in the spiritual world it might seem weird to you where you are today but friend you need a Savior heaven is still real heaven is still out there today beginning this week of Easter from today forward you ought to spend every moment you can crying Hosanna save us now Hosanna save us now show me Lord the path that I'm on that's gonna destroy me and let me turn it around and come running to you Hosanna save me now I need you realize that all your goodness in all of your pleasantries in all of your good intentions it's not enough to get you to heaven I did not build heaven neither did you the builder and maker hands are not of man but they are of the heavenlies you need to know his plan is still to save you on this Palm Sunday I want to invite you to pray I want to invite you to spend some time talking to the master it might be that in your living room right now you can bow your knee at your couch and begin to call upon the name of the Lord Jesus you would talk to him like you would talk to anyone you don't have to be mean to him you don't have to be yelling at him you don't have to scream his name you simply can speak to him as you begin to close your heart closer to his you'll begin to realize that his love is opening up to you and that he's always wherever you are right now the power of the Holy Ghost is working we've been praying for that we've been binding together for that that God will move even in your circumstance right now you don't have to give up hope you don't have to walk away defeat it and feel like you've been beaten but on this Palm Sunday you can lift hands and you can wave them under the Lord I need a Savior Jesus it's you come on families gather together would you at this moment if you're by yourself find your some quiet space and pray if you've gathered together just to try to enjoy the day and talk about good things I want you to know the best thing that you could invite into your group right now is the power and the presence of a holy God pray with me right now Jesus we love you we bless your name and we worship you together today Lord we we have reflected back to the Word of God and the stories there of how them the multitudes saying they worshiped and they danced and they proclaimed enthusiastically Hosanna save us now blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord right now today in 2020 on this Sunday in April we proclaim it one more time salvation we need you now when I pray for every heart every home every individual or do you know where we are individually you know our names you know what we're going through I release peace into the home right now I pray the power of the Holy Ghost would move Jesus you can bind up the broken heart yes you can come up close to God to those who are hurting at this moment you can save us from our situation we're not gonna fret nor worry we're simply going to magnify and glorify your name come on somebody you need to pray right now might be that you've prayed and passed but now you've you've not been praying for a while come on you know how to do it get back in the presence of the Lord right now I'm gonna give you some time on your own to pray to spend time as a family pray come on gather together believing in the name of Jesus the miraculous still happens in our world the power of the Holy Ghost still moves mountains in our lives come on we're gonna play music and we're gonna pray together with you wherever you are you pray call on the name of the Lord don't forget things going on this week and next Sunday's Eastern special events there we want you to come back and worship with us come on we're gonna pray together in the name of Jesus hallelujah
