the rest of the day it's okay imagine with me if you could the days in which the man Jesus walked on planet Earth Jew versed in all the ways of the old ways would have been instructed the established laws of Abraham he would have studied the law WS of Moses how that the children of Israel went through trials and tests and traversed all of the land that they did to go to find their promise Jesus as a man he would have understood that the efforts the miles and miles of road that the people would have walked pressed themselves in search of a better place he also would have appreciated the answers that came as the people of God embraced the promises as they were fulfilled this is the man Jesus everybody say the man Jesus now I know that we all understand that Jesus was God manifest in flesh we understand that somebody say Amen but as a man he would have had to hear the stories his job would have been to grasp the purpose of those lessons in the stories and he would have to learn from the beginning of time how things happened and how they were done and for what reason he was a man he would have to understand the reason that he needed to be baptized Jesus the man would have to grasp that he would have to understand that waiting to the age of 30 was what the law required to go into Ministry for the things of God and he would have to accept that that it was not that Jesus W was unable because we know Jesus knows everything right but it was required for him as a man to submit himself to the processes of the established law so that he could come and say rightfully I have come to fulfill this law Jesus would have to understand the Old Paths on his track to the Cross he came came to save people from their sins imagine if you will walking the streets and towns and places that Jesus taught and preached and the long line of rituals and requirements of following the laws to the letter in order to have an eternal connection to the things of God another time and another place it was very fine line that Jesus had to walk because he could have spoken things that fast into place but instead he permitted the process of time the protocols of the day listen to this so that he would understand the why the what for that he had to endure every step that he went through it was an example that Jesus was going to have to subject himself to as a man the writer to the Hebrews in 414 says this seeing them that we have a great high priest that is passed into the heavens Jesus Son of God let us hold fast our profession for we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities but was in all points tempted like as we are yet without sin let us we know this therefore come boldly under the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find Grace to help in the time of need Scripture is very specific here he was tempted but he did not sin as we look at the daily walk that we have in our 2024 environment then we too have to understand that Jesus had to take every day at a time he lived and interacted with people every day he was trying to make a difference in their lives and get them to understand the power of the process of following God's plan Jesus had to know his purpose he could take no nothing for granted he had to understand that as man he was to go through the things he was to do on earth now you and I can read in our history books and we discover that the days of Jesus walking on Earth they were challenging times they were very challenging times religion had taken a turn after generations and generations had come and gone they were following still the established laws of God that Moses had gotten they were not Noble they were notable Humanity had to understand the rules and the regulations they had to give themselves to it it was established through the eons of time that they had to understand those things a lesson that God taught folk in its time God did not think that just because Jesus was here walking in planet Earth that everything was going to change at that moment but things had to go through their process God gave his people laws thousands of years before because they had to submit themselves to God's rule they had to understand the purpose in it I I want to take a s side step for a moment if I may Mom and Dad you need to teach your children the law you need to teach your children right and wrong why they need a foundation to stand upon Mom and Dad you need to instruct your children the word of the Lord why they need to know where to run to in the time of trial it matters more now than ever before and I'll tell you somebody listen to Pastor for a moment let me help you if you can get the word in them and get the law of God in them it is going to matter one day there's a board back on that wall back there of what we're calling Wayward kids backsliders those who have known the Lord and walked away from him sister Stacy I'm going to tell if you put the word of God it's going to matter one day they're going to find themselves in a pit somewhere and say who do I turn to come on don't walk back on the word of God but you establish it in them and when the time it's going to matter one day I don't know what else to do I don't know where else to go I don't know who to call on but my mom and my dad taught me to pray therefore in the middle of all this hell I'm going to pray and the Lord God's going come on you better believe what you're putting in your children it will matter one day the stories that we read in the scriptures I don't mind saying they are powerful to say the least Jesus born by Divine Design organized and orchestrated from the throne room only only God could have put together enough details and description to make such a powerful thing happen Jesus is born 30 years later he walks into the religious world and begins to change everything listen he was not raised on a chair in a classroom under a teacher he didn't have the elite school education he didn't even have the richest of Bloodlines if you will in their eyes at that day but he was a design from heaven and he understood that my job on Earth is to live and to become a sacrificial lamb because I will one day wash away the sins of the world uh not sure how from here to there but I'm going to walk every step understanding there will come a time that I'll be spread open wide but I will declare I forgive them I cleanse them I wash them Jesus began his ministry notice how this happened y'all okay it's 12:55 I got a minute Matthew writes one of the most interesting things and his gospels this is so cool Matthew chapter 4 everybody know where Matthew is Right New Testament flip through that part in the middle that says old and new okay go there Matthew 4 verse 23 begin Jesus went about all Galilee teaching in their synagogues preaching the gospel listen of the Kingdom the kingdom healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people his Fame went throughout all Syria they brought listen is unto him all sick people that were taken of divers with divers diseases and torments those which were possessed with Devils those which were lunatic those that had the py listen he healed them there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee from the capis from Jerusalem from Judea from Beyond Jordan Jesus enters the seen here preaching and teaching something they had yet to hear they knew law they knew rule regulation they knew what it was required to go to the temple they understood the price they had to pay to make sure there was a sacrifice for the sins that they had their family had or whatever trespass they had done y'all with me Jesus comes on the scene and Matthew writes it in chapter 4 he begins to preach the kingdom of Heaven he begins to preach the kingdom I can imagine them standing there looking around one another saying what is the kingdom we understand kingdoms on Earth we understand the Syrian Kingdom we understand the Judah Kingdom we understand these kingdoms but he's preaching Kingdom and we're not sure where that kingdom is in fact they would ask him questions you know from whence from two what is it for how is this what thust thou what thou this that's old English and Jesus would try and the answer he could only thing he could give them was this i' I've come to show you guys why of chapter five chapter six of Matthew in the way that Matthew the tax collector wrote it he says you need to look around you multitude of people and you're going to understand that all the stuff that's been going on in the church in the religious world it's not wrong it's not there it's just I've come to fulfill it so things now are going to change y'all holding on to me and at this particular point we understand that Jesus knew what the flowers looked like he knew how they grew he knew how the the birds of the F he knew that they would fly around they'd land in the field and theyd eat he talks about it in Matthew 5 he goes through all of the list of lessons that people need to learn and there're all the imagery that he's putting in their mind and he's telling them understand something the Gentiles the pagans those gods of other places they don't understand the power of what God is doing but I've come today to help you to understand understand something that if you will and if you'll understand what I'm teaching you and get this in your heart and in your mind I will bless you I will multiply you things will happen in your life listen we take it for granted in 2024 because you've always had a preacher in your life even if you weren't born and raised in church you had a good neighbor down there that was saying you ought not steal you had a judge standing in front of you you stole and that ain't right they didn't have that they had 600 plus Commandments and they had to follow them and now Jesus is coming along and he's talking about the kingdom the kingdom the kingdom the kingdom the kingdom the kingdom and they're scratching their head and they're wondering and he's presenting it to them and he's telling them in chapter five chapter six come on for all you prayer warriors get in the word go home and read about this and you'll find out that everything that Jesus was telling them was what life looked like to them transgressions transp passion if they're doing things if they're going there if they're doing that if they're acting that way Jesus was telling them you need to make sure it lines up with what I'm teaching you and what I'm instructing you to do and notice what happens in chapter six of Matthew I feel the Lord is helping us today notice what he they're worried about what they'll wear they're worried about how they'll eat they're worried about what they'll drink they're worried about all this stuff they've established their lifestyle listen to preacher they've established how they can present themselves to the world around them how they can be accepted in all of the channels and all of the ways of where they are living but in chapter 6 verse 31 notice it's a red letter addition to you in the KJV therefore take no thought saying what shall we eat or what shall we drink or wherewith All Shall we be clothed for after all these things do the G gentil seek for your heavenly father knoweth that ye have need of all these things but seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you anybody recognize that verse I'm here to declare to somebody one more time in 2024 there's a lot of things that can Sidetrack your vision and your desire you can pour yourself into your job trying to clothe yourself trying to worry about what's in your home trying to worry about how good you are and what you're doing but Jesus addresses this as he's establishing the church at that day and he's telling them H blessed are the ones blessed are the ones blessed are the ones and if you'll stop worrying about the life you're living and more concern yourself with the life to come then I will provide things they'll be added unto you he even gives reference the birds this SP the FL power you're worried about all this stuff but I'm telling you right now if you'll seek first the kingdom his righteousness these things will be added notice something here 2024 there's a whole stack of folk that I personally know by name that are worried about their food what they'll drink what they wear all yall looking at me because you know that if you look left or right is there anything wrong with being concerned about how good you look is this tie match just the want I grabbed out of the Clos well I don't care what it it's old thing I just put it on I don't care what it we're getting to the season right fact is this I can almost Lord I'm gonna get in trouble I can almost guarantee that some of y'all woke up this morning where you going to eat lunch after church my wife and I have that conversation often well we a't even got there you know it's funny how apostolics do we go to restaurants and eat and talk about food I was e time going have again we had dear friends of our dear friends of ours go in a restaurant and we go sit down with them to eat and the first thing she wanted to see was the dessert me story am I right get the desire I said where you got that for because I want to know what I can have over here so I can have this priorities come on now if it's a good dessert over here I'm not going to ruin it with food oh some of y'all know where I'm at feel for me no thought for those things Jesus says he even goes so far as to say you can worry and be anxious about those things but you can't add anything to your stature you can't get yourself in a position where you think you can handle those things in fact if you'll stop worrying about those things and begin to think about the things of God then provision will come to you the hardest part that God knows that he has to teach Humanity for you and I the hardest part for us to learn is trusting God he even says it like this seek first the kingdom seek first Kingdom what does that what did what could that have meant to a generation who had only known sacrificing and completing the laws of family and trespasses Kingdom that he was preaching and teaching call it the kingdom of God what is that not only God's kingdom but also he says his kingdom and righteousness and then all these things will be added so what is God's righteousness God's right way the fact remains this in 2024 allow me a moment to describe it this way every single one of us understand right and wrong I didn't say that you fully comprehended the exactness and the perfectness of it but how many know there's a right way and a wrong way has anybody ever taken a right turn and you should have turned left did it make it a wrong way no you simply had to what or that's what I wanted to do practicing my left turns come on her I'm not lost my wife said baby are you no I know exactly where I'm not the fact remains Jesus comes and and he's I mean it's brand new he's got a multitude of folk that he's simply blowing their mind this is the Kingdom of Heaven this is what you need to focus on this is how you need to worry yourself this is how you need to occupy yourself the fact is this in in in Matthew chapter 4 chapter 5 chapter 6 What would heav have meant to those followers they weren't talked about heaven in Sunday school class their parents didn't describe heaven to them there was no indication that after this was that nothing and yet Jesus is talking about seek first the kingdom and then he's talking about the kingdom of heaven we started the Year this year with this being our theme but seek ye first the kingdom right his righteousness what that's what we've been talking about all year and then this last week I'm like every every day I'm repeating this verse to me this is me this is mine personally and the Lord quicked at me and said okay you need to remind the body that they need to understand that all the worry and the anxiousness and the fretting that some of them are going through is because of the food the the rment and what they're drinking it's the stuff that they're preoccupied with on planet Earth if they'll somehow back it up and begin to look at the Kingdom of Heaven understand doing the right thing is still the right thing then you'll know that the law of the prophets is being fulfilled in Jesus Christ I've come to declare to somebody today God knows where you are he wants to know where you're going well he's just leading me fine where you going to put your next foot I'll tell you where I'll put mine where Lord help me to know and when I put it down I'll I'll make sure you're there and when I put it down I'll make sure you're there how do I make sure God's there I welcome him there seek his kingdom his righteousness look for what pleases God the food the drink the dress the position all of those things will be added you know what if you add that stuff to your life it may or may not be right but if you let God add it he knows exactly what you need he knows what the sparrow needs the bird flying around he knows exactly what kind of food to give that bird he knows that the the Lily in the field he knows absolutely what that Lily is going to need to grow and to be produced be productive I'm telling you that if you'll let God be the leader in your life if you'll let God be the one that adds things to you can I help you somebody else it's 109 we're okay on the clock verse 34 of six take therefore no thought for the tomorrow for the tomorrow shall take thought for the things of itself notice how this chapter ends sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof you don't understand and you don't comprehend you're going to go past places suffi sufficient is the day you're pushing through these narrow passages life is unfolding in front of you and you don't know how to navigate anything your life is a mess and you don't really know what to do or what to say but what the recommendation what the understanding what he was teaching us at that moment you're worried about everything around you but if you'll simply know the journey you're on is not a big fat juicy wide path but it's a narrow path get on the path walk in the narrow Space Walk in the confined space but whatever you do keep walking keep seeking after God keep looking for God's answer in the narrow places keep wondering God are you still here I'm not going to lay down in the narrow place and give up because it's hard but I'm determined uh I'm going to move myself uh down the path that I don't know where it's leading me to uh I'm going to trust God that you know where I'm going uh that you understand where I am that here's the beauty of understanding the evil thereof at that moment come on it is not to destroy you uh but the meaning of the word is simply this you're in a narrow passage you're trying to make it uh but if you'll endure that narrow Place uh if it'll launch you into the wide place it's almost like you took a garden hose you turn on the water and it's spraying out but if you'll narrow the Gap put your thumb over the end some of you are wondering why the challenges are so great I've come to tell somebody get in the narrow place and keep walking keep seeking him first at the end of the journey it'll W you uh into the open space and you'll be able to say to the Next Generation my God has supplied all of my needs hallelujah hallelujah he's not trying to destroy you he's trying to get you to the open space Hall the madness that you feel like you're walking through it's not to destroy you but he's trying to teach you will you trust me in the narrow will you trust me in the narrow will you trust me in the narrow will you trust me when you don't know will you keep moving when you can't understand it will you keep moving until I push you out the other side seek first the kingdom his right rightousness all these things will be added stop worrying about the things get in the journey watch what he does God I'm challenged right now don't know happened got narrow got narrow on me I I didn't know what I was doing and where I was going but I was seeking first his kingdom need to know where you are I don't trust you in this Narrow Path I don't know how how I'm going to get through it Lord is trying to help but Jesus was trying to help them at that time to explain to them you're worried about all these things they don't matter it's not important when you get into that evil thereof I began to research that and I said Lord why was the word evil translated and used there instead of Theus you can look it up in your dictionary it's still a word we just don't ever use it it's because when you get to the imagery of the word you have to understand that when you're in a narrow space you don't know how it's going to turn out this picture that they were so kind to put up that's a place my wife and I visited this last summer it's a canyon in Arizone and we went it's the antler Canyon and it's analo Canyon you've seen it on Microsoft backgrounds and all he's gorgeous anybody ever been there it's the slickest place it is so cool this wide at some place this wide at some place it's where the water washes down in the desert it P and it makes formation I was reminded while I was there were a couple spots in that Canyon my wife and I this was pre- carnivore so I was a little I'm coming right y'all know what I'm talking about to some days you're like that once I got through the narrow spot yeah that was good and they say yeah we're going through here and you're like so the draw come some of us have been through so many narrow places we get to the next one and we're not sure we can handle it because we forget that we made it through that one we'll talk a whole bunch about how if God did it for them he can do it for us and every one of us pray God help me because we're not willing to let God work in US sometimes times Horton to narrow is short too I'm not sure I can do this the Lord's like are you trusting me I'm seeking you Lord and you are leading me down to PL I don't even know how to get through this thing Lord stand the other in his hand come on this is going to happen every day come on some of us want to jump around like unicorns and rainbows and just I'm a Christian I've just got all this to life is so good for me how you doing I'm good blessed I want to t you know how I know oh Lord help me stay on get through this Canyon we're moving through got a group behind in front everybody pays y'all with me it's one of those tourist things cool as could be and I y'all know I know how to ask ants questions right why we got to hurry she said we get up in the morning at our company and we have to check the weather report I said okay she said we can't check the weather report for here it don't matter it don't matter if it's raining here doesn't matter we've got to do is we've got to check up in the mountains if it's raining because if it's raining up there we can't get in the canyon I said do what she said no no no if it starts raining three or 400 miles up in the mountain we already know by experience in about an hour and a half 40 kajillion gallons of rain water is going to be coming down this thing and it's going to wash right through here no and if you're in here you're dead that you see how tall that is you can't tell it the ground is yeah there we go there we go way up there is that down there at the bottom is De that's probably 50 feet y'all stay with me about 10 feet down from the top up there in certain parts there's these big logs wedged in the Rock I said how'd those get there she said it's called water rain it brings it down I said said she went it rushes down through here and it brings all the debris and it begins to dump and some of the stuff gets Po and I'm standing in there of course the Lord's so kind to me sometimes to show me and he said this is the narrow better listen to your body you better listen to the one that's going to get you through this narrow spot you don't know what's in the narrow spot but I know one that's already been through the narrow spot I know one that's already been there done that understands it you can't throw a cross at Jesus that he don't understand you can't throw an issue at him that he doesn't comprehend the place that he's taken us is called the Kingdom of Heaven anybody heard of it what does the gate look like going to heaven is it wide is it big and Broad what is it oh I'm G make it I make it make it making some tough choices I'm holding on I don't know how I'm going to do but I'm going to it's narrow I don't want the Broadway I don't want the wide path as it leads to Jesus is teaching and he's preaching and he's explaining to them you'll look for me first do the right thing first I'll add all these other things to you you can't add anything to yourself and I want you to understand something that every day sufficient to the day every day going to be putting a tight spot you need going to need to make decisions would you bow your head right now Lord some of us today God are we're in the Narrows some of us today Lord we're in a real tight spot we're in a real tight spot some of us today Lord we're we just simply trying to move forward God but sufficient to the day is the narrow way sufficient to the day is distractions and ability that the enemy has to try to destroy us and distract us Lord in the midst of path today Lord I've come to seek you I've come to look for you I've come to look you stand with me I want to help somebody today I want to admonish someone today stop in all the midst of the madness and Chaos of your world Listen to Pastor for a moment stop looking for Thrones to occupy start looking for the one that's on the throne stop looking for positions and places where you can lift and elevate your name stop wondering about all the stuff you don't have why don't you seek after him I can promise you every voice that you hear in life is going tell you something different right but I can guarantee that every ear listening right now online or in this place everything you've ever had has come because of the blessing of the Lord why would you worry and fret when you get to the narrow huh what if God were what if God were to ask you to sacrifice everything you had would you do it give it all to standing in the narrow now God and I don't know where to go next I don't know what to do now there's a voice at the end of The Narrows calling to you come this way come this way keep walking that voice of the master saying if you'll keep moving when you get to this place I'm going to refresh you sustain you you won't live here but I'm going to prepare you for what the next narrow this altar is open right now because somebody needs to make a decision you're tired of all the wrestling and all the finagling that you're trying to do in life and aren't you ready for the king of glory to come in aren't you excited about the possibility of the master of all things and the plan that he could have for your life he's standing waiting cool thing about God is he never crosses his arms and waits he always waits like this come on come on don't stop now seek me first my righteousness I'll add everything you need this altar is open for those who want to pray would you come come on would you come Lord I I've come looking for you it's I'm I'm looking for you today
