Our God Reigns

would you pray with me right now Lord Jesus we love you we are thankful Lord to be here today thankful Lord God that your spirit is in this room that the family of God has gathered in this room Lord one more time Jesus we call upon you I make myself available to you Lord once again Jesus we desire to hear from heaven I plead the blood of Jesus over this place right now I rebuke the distractor and the discourage err in the name of Jesus I rebuke it in Jesus name and I plead your blood Lord right now over this room healing can happen deliverance can happen if we will simply love and worship and bless your name in the name of Jesus today Lord we honor you we love you we magnify you you are God you are worthy you're an awesome wonderful Savior and we love you today hallelujah - the name about every name Jesus thank you Lord hallelujah somebody say in Jesus name thank you to our singers and musicians thank you so much for leading us in worship again to all of our guests we welcome you I'm honored that you're here today you can be seated if you feel like you need to hallelujah to the lamb of God would say please do pray for our campers they left today there'll be another group Wednesday next week there's campers going to the campground also you noticed on the prayer request let's pray for Lauren she's in Haiti for this week on a mission trip helping the Brian's out pray for her as she goes and does her work there that God keep her safe and and give her give her fruit for her labor Eman praise God so good to see all of you out today having spent the last couple of weeks in the nation of Germany and the country of Germany I am I was reminded of the history of a nation that had such incredible potential and possibilities now we are all aware if you've studied any history at all we are very aware of the atrocities that the leadership of that nation exposed upon the whole races of peoples because of their beliefs if you will the truth is is that no words can describe the terrible things that were done by force of men and women who attempted to annihilate entire races of humanity now my wife and I we walk through a few museums and and buildings that were once used for the specific purpose of attempting to wipe out people's existences it's amazing though the possibilities of mankind when that person or that human determines to pursue to follow out a plan with what appears to be very little thought the outcome of the repercussions of their actions history tells us even today if we study that entire families were destroyed as if they had never walked on planet Earth entire bloodlines were erased as if they had never ever existed as a point of interest we learned also that the motive for many of these despicable actions were simply an attempt to erase the bad and replenish it with a good as part of the process we also learned that that people individuals humanity if you will at one point in history that they were examined to see if fit in a certain particular mold for example there were groups of doctors and scientists that would go into communities and into different countries and they would measure the size of the nose the size and the color of the eyes the size of the head the stature of a person if they could grow facial hair or not and all of this data was collected to make a determination if that individual was indeed part of a true bloodline and if that individual we found out if they did not meet the criteria they were simply no longer needed and they were annihilated as a person I will say that I learned several things over the last few weeks that I simply had no clue was going on how can humanity attempt to work in the confines of trying to be God on planet earth what would cause somebody to get to a point that they would play the position of a god such men for an example as an Adolf Hitler or Benito Mussolini that they they they were interested in trying to re-establish the races of people according to their simple physical characteristics all in an effort to try to re-establish power and to return it to who rightfully in their eyes deserved it again I am amazed at the concepts and that the attempts that that they went through to try to establish dominance and power simply by the makeup and the physical attributes of a person now I realize today that that some of you may not be history buffs and you might not enjoy that stuff but but I am thoroughly enjoying history and I tell you it's because I stand here today behind this podium as a boy from Tennessee who was born in Nebraska because my father was stationed there in the middle see I'm saying my mom she was from Tennessee my dad was from Pennsylvania I'm not sure how all of that came together but lo and behold they they came together and they made a family I do know also that that my grandparents for an example they were hard workers my parents they tried hard to provide for the family we had family picnics when we could we went on vacations every once in a while when we could we ate together around the table often in all this normal common maybe even boring stuff is what made up our family anybody else know what I'm talking about I'm thankful nobody came and measured my nose to figure out if I belonged it amazes me that anybody could think of themselves to be all of that in a box of Cracker Jacks and to be able to determine if you deserve to live or to die but certainly it poses a question in the thoughts of the intention of man is it a part of the DNA of humanity to exist in a way that is more than simply a speck on the wall of life do we want to be more than we truly are are we all as humans searching for excellence in life even when the odds are stacked against us is there a designer within the heart of mankind to be more than we really truly are will we as humans consider the differences between all of us we are faced with the reality that we are very distinct and we are very different turn to your neighbors say you're odd come on turn back to them and say no really you're a strange person no come on you may have to convince somebody you're really really different our roots if you will as humans our lineage if you will where our families come from in the in the history of each one of us I I stand here today and I tell you that the the line of family has been skewed and effective in so many ways that if one family or one individual from this part of the world joins themself if you will to somebody or an individual from that part of the world and they to come together and they make a family all of a sudden you've got differences of backgrounds in histories and and I don't know maybe some of you are or you know all about your family history you know all about your greatest of greatest of greatest of greatest of greatest of grandpappies and all that stuff I don't know I know my dad I know my grandpa my great-grandmother I knew her for a minute but I come to tell you that the physical makeup of every single one of us is different and the truth is is that the the difference in flesh and the crossing of bloodlines and so forth have brought us to what we would call in 2019 a very blended world a very different kind of existence we all really do not have a way of knowing the the principle part in the human flesh of where we started or how we came to where we are today and then I know that as humans if we don't know much about the past of our families and though bloodlines we really are not sure about the future and how things are going to turn out because as much as you might try with your children you you really don't know who they'll fall in love with one day and marry and make their family are you following me things change throughout the generations but I stand at this sacred desk today and I want to make a phrase and a statement if I could then God as humans we want to think that we we we have everything under control and that we are always in charge of situations but as we understand as one person we might think that we're able to to do anything and as the people in history have demonstrated that you can destroy anything that's outside of your way of thinking I have to consider that in the flesh and then the carnal if you will that we understand that there is a that you can have one particular instance in history that you make your mark and then you're gone by the wayside but I stayed today and I'm very profound in this and letting you know that God is still God God has not gone through a cycling process he didn't start out as this and now of a sudden he's in this mold know he knows and he understands all of life situation he has the ability before you Mary to know who you're about to marry he knows what family you're gonna be born into whether it's by design or a plan he knows how many kids you're gonna have he knows words from in the conception he knows your DNA he knows how to connect the end from the beginning he knows all of your situations and your issues he knows all the traveling you do he knows all the things that happen in a barroom somewhere he knows that people of influence of people are bad and good intentions he knows all the connections that you come up against in your life but I stand at this yesterday and I'm reminded there is no way that you'll ever truly understand our God is in control Colossians chapter 1 verse number 16 for by him we're all things created that are in heaven and that are in earth visible and invisible whether they be Thrones or dominions or principalities or powers all things were created by him and for him and he is before all things and by him all things consist God was God in the beginning and God is God right now there's no way you'll ever have anything outside of God there's no way you'll comprehend anything less you see it through God's eyes so if he's wrapped up into all of life situations and if we're aware that everything we've ever been through God's been there and everything will ever go through God's going to be there if we truly understand that his hand is working in us and we've got to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that our God is a sovereign God revelation said it this way chapter 19 verse number 6 and I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude and as the voice of many waters and as the voice of mighty thunderings saying hallelujah for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth God raised he is on the throne and has never come off the throne his will and purpose has been established before anything ever was in the beginning and in the end he will be so I stand at this table today and I remind as a church family one thing and one thing in particular God knows all things God is aware of where you are today I wish somebody in this room would shake themselves and get rid of the devil let's put blinders on and try to stop you from seeing the hand of God become so in control question when something happens in your life that you cannot explain when something happens in your life that is not the way that you would have done it when things do not turn out the way that you think that they should turn out or when you cannot explain the outcome of a certain situation why do you get mad at God why do we as humans question his power and his ability is it because it didn't turn out the way you prayed or the way that you pictured it would turn out so therefore you stop believing that even cares and he's hearing your prayer and when you cease praying for things because you consider what to use what I pray doesn't matter anyway something hear me what I'm saying Church something happens why because when you doubt God when you doubt God's plan when you doubt God's purpose when you doubt God's reason whatever that you are into and whatever you are hoping that you could or whatever should have changed in the situation I need somebody to hear preacher right now if you ever doubt the love of God then you will doubt the power of God if you ever doubt the power of God you will doubt the Word of God if you ever doubt the Word of God you will doubt the plan of God if you ever doubt the plan of God you will doubt the abilities of God if you ever doubt the abilities of God you will doubt the God even exists and if you doubt that God exists you yourself under I'd say it like the old-timer devil you are a liar if you ever doubt God in whatever circumstance you're in then you will begin to doubt God and everything and you wonder why coming to church is simply a game and simply there's something to enjoy I don't mind telling you I have been pondering and contemplating for a long time how is it that people can go through situations and circumstances and appear that they turn their back on God and begin to question and wonder and doubt and fear oh they may still come into the house of God but they don't believe God can work in their lives they've simply quit trust in him and they're simply hoping somehow in some way that on the fringes or on the outskirts that they can still somehow make it into a place called heaven but I rise to this table to encourage somebody today my God reigns no matter the choices of past generation my god reigns no matter what I can I cannot see my god reigns no matter where the road leads me that I know where I'm headed or not my god reigns no matter what's going on in my life God is still on the throne he knows what is best for me so miss wrote it like this in 147 praise ye the Lord for it is good to sing praises unto our God for it is pleasant and plays is comely the Lord doth build up Jerusalem he gathered together the outcasts of Israel He healed the broken in heart he binds up their wounds he tell us the number of the stars he calleth them oh by their names a great is our Lord and of great power his understanding is infinite the Lord lifts us up the meek he casts as the wicked down to the ground sing unto the Lord with Thanksgiving sing praise upon the harp under our God who cover it to heaven with clouds who prepare it to rain for the earth who maketh grass to grow up on the Mount I've come to tell somebody today God still has the power he is still in control and whether you understand it or not you gotta know if you ever doubt him in one thing you'll tell him in everything now one thing I want you to understand please life happens turn to somebody and say life happens choices decisions things Goods Bad's uglies ups downs it's called life it's called life and so many times what we are going through what's happening in our lives determine how we approach God and how we approach those around us listen to me carefully please if you believe God can do anything then you will not at all be inhibited to ask him for everything but if you doubt him in any way in any shape or form god I'm not sure you know God I've got this one on my own see it's very interesting in the DNA of humanity how that when things are going well in our lives we just do what we do we come to church we given the offering we pay our tithes we help be encouraged we pat on the back we hug we smile all's well but when a difficulty comes as much as it seemed in the good times it's seen in our negative as well hands in your pocket head down a little nervous to give him the plate cuz times are tough don't really know how to smile at somebody because you're you're afraid you'll be misunderstood I am I'll Jesus help me stay on track today come on I want you to understand something friend the Lord God loves you his plan for you is on mark you've got to know it is not a flip coin with an almighty sovereign God that determines the steps that you take but he orders the steps of a righteous man and for somebody to feel like you may not like how I think or feel but I'm full of mistakes and problems and issues and I have good days and bad days I'm up and down and if this hurts your feelings so be it it's just what it is and if you go on to anything and you try to establish and justify how you feel and what's going on what you are doing is you are opening yourself up to the enemy believe it or not the enemy has a Facebook page he has snapchat and all the other ones that I don't know anything about he knows how to read your text he knows what comes out of your brain as you're typing somebody something tell him I just need prayer today cuz I don't know God's really saying I got him now I got him now I got him now I don't have to hit him I don't have to smack him I don't have to touch him I don't have to beat him down I don't have to run after them if I can just get him to Dow God in one thing they'll tell God and everything oh he might not happen in one second but over the course of weeks and months and years they'll begin to question and listen come in for watch master for just a moment I'm reaching for your soul right now they'll begin to turn a smile into one of these and they'll come into the house of the Lord out of shape nobody know what I'm going through nobody care all I wants my money all they wanted to tell me what they do why don't they let me sing and all that bitterness is strife all that junk inside of you the enemy never fired a shot at you he just simply got you to doubt God and through that you believe nothing now I rebuke it today in the name of Jesus my god still reigns my god still reigns he's still right whether you get it or not he's still on the throne whether you understand it or not he still loves you you deserve it or not he still reigns now I don't I don't mind telling you I realize we're all human in here we all make mistakes we make bad choices we do things and later we wonder why we try to help people we try to encourage and tell them what their what they need to do or not do if they just listen to me if they were just do what I said and all the while with good intentions perhaps the best of intentions we have to make decisions and choices on how we respond to things I am convinced that when Moses stood in the presence of God the only thing that he could worry about at that point would be the same as you and I but I doubted you God I took it into my own hands and I killed an Egyptian how could I ever be useful to you how could I ever bring honor to you how could I ever do what you'd call me to do it's the same witness as a young boy that would become king how could I glorify you when I have sinned and brought death and destruction upon someone by my actions how can it be that you would simply bless me and anoint me how is it how is it friend that David would be known as a man after God's own heart I'll tell you how it's because each one of those two characters each one of you sitting listening to me right now you are faced with decisions I either believe God knows all has all controls all takes care of all or I don't if I do then no matter the good days or the bad god still god no matter if I'm on a mountain or I'm in a valley god steel God no matter if I understand why something happened or something else happened God is still God I'm gonna love your Lord whether it's all fell apart or not I'm gonna trust you Lord whether it's all fell apart or not during a person sitting in this room today that would want to duplicate the life of job but Joe was the one who said though he slay me yet I'll trust him I know that I've lost everything I know that it went by the wayside but the enemy did not take it understand that it was God's voice that said have you considered yeah fine do what you do you can't have his life the first thing that the enemy would have wanted from Joe was what his life because if he could snuff out his witness he would simply have been forgotten but you and I today 2019 if I mentioned the name job everyone would he go yeah Wow that guy who hmm tough what oh yeah because you know the trials and the things and the situations that he was in and we applaud him at that I want to say to you today and I'm bringing this to a close that if God truly has named the stars he has numbered the hairs on your head if he is aware of a sparrow that needs to eat how much more should you trust him right now because right now he is speaking your name right now he's standing at your heart saying you don't even realize what I'm doing you don't see it right now and you may not comprehend it completely but you got to know I have a plan it may not be the plan that you prayed for it's probably not the one that you would have ever chosen but if God gave you what you chose you would sell yourself so short of what God can do you would have sold yourself so short but pastor what about my trials what about my difficulties what about my choices yeah that's what you just said they're yours they're yours they're yours there are things that you're going through their valleys that you're walking they are walls that you're facing they are obstacles that you are looking at but God still reigns God still reigns he still reigns God still in control God knows where you are sitting right now he knows how you got here he knows all the details more than you'll ever know but God is still on the throne today so my question is simply this how much do you really need to understand about God to worship God do you need to know all of the beginning from the end do you need to know all of the intricate details of everything that's ever happened before you'll finally give a nod of approval or are you willing to say by your word things were established in the beginning God you created and at the end you'll still be God the generations will come and they will go but you are forever established upon the throne therefore I will trust the character and the person and the will of God even if I can't understand it nor comprehend it I will believe if you're exalted above everything then I'm on your mind right now and whatever trials or tests or difficulties I might find myself in God you reign and I will trust you I'll trust you Lord when I'm on a mountain I'll trust your Lord when I'm in a vow I'll trust you Lord when I get it and I'll trust you Lord when I don't understand it I'll trust your Lord from my friends I'll trust you for my family I'll trust you for my loved ones I'll believe in your Lord in the difficult days and I'll know and rest in you in the days Lord that are pleasant why because I know God still reigns he is still on the throne I wish everybody in this house would stand and to the loudness of your voice you would say our God rain come on somebody making a declaration devil you need to hear me my god reigns my god reigns he is on the throne I am on his mind it's gonna be alright this halter is open right now somebody you need to put a praise on today the enemy's been doing he's been wreaking havoc on your mind and you've been allowing him to come on let the joy of the Lord be your strength right now let the joy of the Lord be your strength right now let the Word of God establish itself in you right now god I don't know how it's going to turn out but I'm trusting you I don't know how it's gonna happen but I'm believing in you it might take a month it might take a year it may take a lifetime but I believe in you oh come on somebody put a phrase in your mouth right now in offer to the Lord come on give it to the Lord right now see a lot about Korea huh that's right that's right that's right come on let brays be heard all over the sanctuary let worship be heard all over this sanctuary God your God my God you are God my God you are God come on somebody you need to rebuke the enemy right now get him out of your thoughts get him out of your mind right now double get away I believe in Jesus and I believe he is working for my good come on somebody make a declaration right now I will believe in the old rugged cross I will trust the blood of my Savior I will believe in a place called heaven I will trust in you Jesus my god you still reign you still reign you still reign we're still exalted let's write that's right that's right right now come on Jesus Jesus Jesus I am NOT destroyed I am NOT defeated I am NOT neglected I am NOT in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus come on victory in this place this victory in this house right now there is victory in this room right now somebody pressed into the victory in the name of no come on my truck come on in the name of Jesus get ahold of somebody right now play come on let's ride Jesus she says do your work Jesus accomplished you work for let it rip Laurie in order to you come
