disappointments were influenced by excitement we're influenced by Taking Chances we're influenced by connecting with other people we're we're influenced by the commitments that we make come on how we interact with other people how others treat us what happens when people walk behind your back how do you recuperate when life falls apart every single one of us can react with a certain way because of our life stories and how God has done with us and how people have treated us and how loved ones and how enemies and how all the things that have happened in our lives bring us to where we are today I will ask you today what is your story every one of us have a story to tell but today for the sake of time I will not allow you the microphone to talk is that all right come on we got food sitting back there y'all understand where I'm coming from of course I'm a preacher everybody say a preacher and there's good bad or uglies that is I've come to tell you that a lot of times I go to the word of the Lord to get some help and understanding things that happening in life you know what I'm talking about when I go to the holy word that I call that precious book The Bible I understand and and I pray about this and I Look to it listen to me in the Old Testament there are 929 chapters there are 23 145 verses there are 622 771 words in the New Testament there are 260 chapters there are 7 958 verses there are 184 590 particular words in the entire Bible there are 1189 verses there are chapter excuse me there were 31 103 verses there are over 800 000 words in your kingdom James Bible somebody say wow it's a lot of words you already get that you mean repeat them so the entirety of 800 000 plus words if you will of the King James Bible come on of course there's a lot of words in there the authorized word that the king allowed in the 1600s for them to write so that the common man could read it we understand that there would have been other books we do understand that there would have been other things that are written at that time but suffice it to say what you and I have access to today 2023 is the holy word of God as according to what Humanity needs to know and understand what somebody shout I got the Bible come on in these 800 000 words it talks about wars it talks about famines it talks about deceit it's mentioned about love pain and loss wisdom come on it gives details it gives knowledge it gives life stories to all these people that are included in it there are Kings and there are rulers and there are poppers and there are poor there are entire cities that are established and others that are completely removed from the face of the earth when you look at the holy word of God I can tell you today that you can read the scripture from Genesis to Revelation and in the midst of that there's a story that's from our God Almighty of how he loves humanity and he's got a plan to put Humanity in its proper place you can't understand as humans come on somebody in your little mind all of the details in the intricacies of the word of God but as I mentioned earlier I've come to tell you an entire life of a man woman or child could not be put into the word of God all of the details of how this happened or that happened how one family member and one brother or one sister or one father or one nephew or we don't have all of those details written but I've come to tell somebody today when I go to the word of the Lord and I begin as that preacher mindset if you will how could I take the life of the Bible that you and I hold so dear and how can I go to that word of God and look in there and come up with how do I condense it down to just a few words like Oh Mr Hemingway was able to do for sale baby shoes never worn in my mind this past week or two I've been rolling over and over and this is the only thing that I could come up with the only scripture verse if you will that would sum up everything it is written unto the Hebrews in chapter number 13. verse number eight hear the preacher today Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever when you go to the word of the Lord I've come to declare to somebody with all the controversy with all the questions and wondering I've come to tell you it don't matter if it was Paul or Timothy that wrote it it's you as a human could wrap your mind around the understanding Jesus Christ when you get him involved everything takes on another light every story can be Rewritten every hope can be breathed into it every mess up can be put straight every false thing can be made true the Crooked ways can be made straight the rough faces can be human plain Jesus Christ hear me what I'm telling you today that verse sums it all up if you'll ever understand the power of this verse and you'll recognize in these verses or in this particular words of this verse to know Jesus is to have all the information you need yeah to know Jesus is everything that you'll ever need John wrote it like this in 10 30. I and my father are one Revelation the last guy wrote it in 22 and 13. I am Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end the first and the last Old Testament prophet Isaiah wrote in 45 and 5. I am the lord and there is none else there is no God beside me I girded thee though thou Hast not known me that they may know from the rising of the Sun and from the West that there is none beside me I am the lord and there is none else I've come today to tell somebody in your life of mess-ups and harm and hurts and feelings and emotions and everything else if you'll wrap your mind around this one thing if I can get Jesus in my life then he is the same yesterday today and forever if he was God in the Old Testament he'll be God for me right now if he made a way for the children of Israel then he can make away from me now if he provided for those who were hungry he can help me today right now if he put food on their table he can put food on my table why because it's all summed up in this Jesus Christ the same yesterday to day and forever to know the name makes all the difference to know the power of the name changes everything to know the unction and the anointing that's in the name will allow you opportunities somebody hear the preacher today there's a whole lot of confusion questions concerns in our world and there's a whole lot more people that are confused and conflicted about it is there even a god was he even real is it just a made-up story man I'm sorry but as again I tell you all this all the time as Pastor I feel responsible to try to help the church body that he's put me in responsibility over I try to help you to understand the times and the days in which we live that's part of what a preacher does he announces is that okay I've come to tell somebody today and hear me listen to me not everybody's going to heaven I don't judge I don't have to but I can go to the word that's forever settled and I can look to that word and I can declare what the word says now he would that none would perish but that all would all come to that repentance stage to be able to say I'm turning around and I'm walking towards Jesus right now listen to me carefully please I've come to tell your friend if you know him as the god of yesterday and you've accepted the fact he's a god of today then whatever tomorrow brings you need to understand as well you can concern yourself with so much junk of this world it will distract you and deter you and cause you to lose out with God because you're worrying and you're fretting will cause you to wonder if there's even a god I've come to tell somebody today the devil is a liar you listen to this preacher if you're going to know God you better know the blood of Jesus was shed at a cross of Calvary so that you could have salvation if you're going to walk up right before him that day of judgment you better know when you stand in front of him nobody's standing on your left or your right but it's you in front of the judge and when he opens the books he's going to declare unto you your name is written and this is your works this is your name and this is what you did it's not going to be because of the sign over the door it's not going to be what's on your business card it's not going to be because of what you put on or what you took off but friend of mine it's going to be because you understand Jesus Christ the same yesterday today and forever I fear in this hour that some of us are losing the ability to believe Jesus can do anything I'm going to ask you I'm watching the clock we're okay the food's still okay all right listen there's a whole lot of well let me put it this way does anyone in here have an opinion go ahead raise your hand an opinion about something come on identify come on you have to first accept it right come on raise your hand wave it I got an opinion so if I were to ask you right now your opinion on the condition of this world you would have an opinion would you not some of you would say oh mama don't get me started some of you would say yeah you get me started back off I'm going to tell you what I feel some of you would say let me tell you what it used to be some of you would say I don't like this America it's not like the one I was growing or raised up in some of y'all would say you ain't about to take that from me and some would say you need to take it from someone else come on we all got an opinion is that right but I've come to ask somebody today can you change your opinion about something how do you change your opinion about anything you listen to other folks opinions you look for the facts about that opinion and then you establish within who you are you know what I think that's logical I think that makes sense I think that that's the way it is come on that's why somebody who doesn't know Jesus when you speak to them about creation they look at you and scratch their head because in their mind they don't have the knowledge to understand that they would much rather believe in a big bang than to believe that in the beginning in the beginning in the beginning was the word and that word began to manifest itself and it said let there be and in that letting there was being something done by the voice of a God who put the plan in motion come on we live in a day and age as somebody say prove it to me well you prove it to me that it's not him I got more history I got more knowledge I got more Bible I got more experience I got more science that will say there is a God that spoke and everything happened then you can ever muster up from somebody who doesn't know what they're who got their wisdom from God and then they decided to turn it around and give it to the enemy I'm telling somebody today that if you'll establish the shortest story that you need to know about the Bible don't stop there don't stop there and say Pastor said I just need to memorize that and I memorize the whole book that ain't true I'm telling you this if you'll condense it down to one thing Jesus Christ lights are going off in somebody's mind right now what do you mean that's it what else you want to hear Jesus Christ anybody else you want to say another name come on you want to use another Authority Feel Free Jump in with it because here's the thing when you say Jesus you understand it to be Jehovah has become salvation and when when you say it by the meaning Jehovah has become salvation and you add Christ that means Messiah sent one with the ability then you know automatically that God has rode himself in a flesh and he's brought salvation so that he can lead us as the Messiah out of this world into the one to come it is he who's preparing a place for us so that where he is you can be also it is he that went to the cross of Calvary and gave his life so that his blood could cover your sins it is he who said I am that I am it is he that established whether you believe it or not he's the same yesterday today and forever that's the story that you need to get excited about you can tell it to your neighbor who's all messed up you know what you need you need Jesus Christ in your life you can tell your co-worker you know what you need Jesus in your life listen to me you can tell it to the mirror that you're looking into you need Jesus in your life why because he never changes brother Deron would you come help me please on this fifth Sunday celebration I'm I'm intrigued and for a couple of weeks now I've been rolling the story of Hemingway's writing if indeed it was him who wrote it I wasn't there in the early 1900s I don't know anybody else no okay what I do know is this story carries more than just six words in its meaning but it unfolds into multitudes of imagination and emotion that you could connect to it it's the same thing with my life see none of you sitting in this room today were there at the altar when I received the wonderful gift of the Holy Ghost at a midweek Junior camp on Holiness Hill in Parable Tennessee even my friend Tim wasn't in the room he got a mad left because the girls were outside and I was left inside I was told on to Tim when I come out the door after receiving the Holy Ghost Tim's sitting there going where have you been come around me I'm inside here are we going to the snack bar or what oh no who's there all the girls are there oh Jesus that's a super spiritual wouldn't attempt huh the night I went down in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission my sins and baptism as my dear old Pastor brother tedric put me down in water and raised me up a new creature old things passed away all things became new it wasn't long after that when they had to pull me out of school as a kid because of the disease and sickness that I had come across Same by this dance come on at a young age man I jerk and Pull and twist and turn my nervous system was shutting down and I couldn't walk a straight line about come on y'all heard my testimony before I've come to tell you I'd bounce off the walls and couldn't eat couldn't feed myself my mom or dad would have to feed me had to come out of school because I couldn't hold a pencil to write the nerves and the issue with my neurological system and they put me on medication they made me go home when I finally turned the corner for whatever reason I had a homebound teacher come and teach me how to write again how to sit still story can go a hundred ways from there I could tell you all the details of not being able to lay in bed at night's sleep because my body would jerk me awake and my dad would come and lay down in the bed beside me and Pat me on the back until I could calm down enough to sleep for a short time a haircut out of the question they have razors or shears cutting my right and man it was all janky for a while apparently my dad said we're gonna cut it all off that way nobody will care whatever I was a young man I didn't understand anything that was my life then when the doctor called me and for my checkup and he said I don't know what's going on but something's changed something's changed mom and dad take him off his meds let's just see what happens something's changed that's my story you got your own you know your own and the day at 17 years old when I stood in a map station in Nashville Tennessee I was going in the military and I'd take my testing and all the things and all the physical and all that come on if you've been in the military you know what I'm talking about right where they put you through all that regimen you're standing there with all these guys the doctor came in and grabbed my folder and it was that thick he said wait a minute you've had seen by this dance yeah you've had rheumatic fever yes sir and you had color yes sir wait a minute have they done testing on you yes sir they said I could join no hold on a second he left me standing there he went come back and he said I need to check something would you stick your hands out in front of you and there's a line of us standing there and that doctor's right in front of me and I put my hands out and I held them brother Jerry just like that but Danny stood and scratched his head he said you're not shaking you're not he said your nerves should already be destroyed turn them over he said you're not quivering or anything do it again hey Doc come here read this now look here all right you can go listen to me that's my story my store how do I bring that down to a few words you want more I can give you a thousand more things that the Lord has allowed me to go through that's my story as much as I know my story how do I understand the word of God so 800 000 words how in the world do I get that to where my mind can wrap around that the Lord so gracious to say to me if you know Jesus Christ the same yesterday today and forever that story will get you through any story because the mercy the love the grace the kindness the gentleness the graciousness the power the unction the anointing The Authority the oil the great things the love the passion the desire that God has for Humanity is wrapped up in Jesus Christ if you're here today and you don't know him as your friend and he's simply a distant name I come to tell you you're in the right place today this altar is a place where you can make sacrifice and you can decide right now you know what God and all of my messed up life my world is so confused and questioned and all if I just had some way to know you and I could understand you then today God my story can change and today Lord you can begin a work in me and I can rise from an altar today full of the Holy Ghost and power and I can walk out these doors and where was Doom and Gloom and question and darkness and despair I can walk out in newness of life and I can declare the whole counsel of God Jesus Christ has made the difference in me and he's the same yesterday today and forevermore therefore I come to ask somebody today what's your story has God been good to you you has he made a way for you if not do you want to know him today do you want to have fellowship with him today do you want your life to be changed today I invite you right now run to this altar as fast as you can get here throw your hands in the air and begin to declare who God is in your life he can change you he can rearrange you he can make you whole he can put you back together he can put hope into your hopelessness oh what a story The Name of Jesus thank you the name of Jesus come on somebody today is a life change for you today is a moment for you you can fall in love with him and he can make you new oh come on that's right would you come would you come and pray so beautiful oh come on oh God you're a good God you're a good God you're a holy God you're a righteous God you're a mighty God you're a great God come on somebody lift your voice oh come on talking about Jesus talking about Jesus name yesterday today and forever come on somebody pray come on open your mouth praise come on let your heart open right now pray talk to the Lord Come on talk to him like you would your friend Jesus I Want to Believe In You Jesus I want you to move in my life great God I need hope Lord today I need the power of your word today I need the power of your word today in my life oh that's right that's right that's right come on great is your name marvelous listen come on if you can't grab somebody by the hand together pray with him Jesus be the answer Lord for my brother my sister oh God be the answer for them Lord come on come on prayer let it happen come on somebody you believe in it believe in it believe in it God I'm trusting today I'm trusting yesterday to you and I'm trusting Lord the future to you oh God my God my God oh that's right come on run into the presence of the Lord come on remember what he's done for you remember your life and how he has brought you a mighty long way isn't he Jesus Jesus Lives oh come on let's try lift your voice to the Lord I Believe come on reach over pray with someone else God be with him that the anointing of the Lord work in their lives reveal to them Lord your plan reveal to them Lord your purpose oh that's right come on man come on ladies Hallelujah yes Jesus so wonderful come on pray with someone so beautiful let your experience reach out to them magnificent Lord is your name come on Mom and Dad talk to the Lord come on grandparents get a hold of God He is wonderful he is glorious treasure rich and Rich Jesus let's try come on go find someone else pray with them come on you can help somebody today you can be an encouragement to someone today Jesus isn't here you are gracious you are worthy you are glorious you are excellent treasure you're holy you're holy oh yeah come on somebody you're in his presence now love him yes Jesus Worthy is your name Worthy is your name Jesus only you can make a difference in lives Jesus the same yesterday today forever you're holy you're holy you're holy you're holy oh yeah that's right come on come on let there be faith in the house today God of Glory you can do a work Lord in somebody's life today you can God wash sins Lord you can move you can change situations oh come on is there faith in the house to believe that he's still reaching for people come on there's still Faith to believe that it is through the name of Jesus that we are saved that we are made whole that we are healed complete the name of Jesus that's right come on let Faith go right now great God great God great God you are able more than able more than able you can make the difference you can change people you can God forgive you can wash you can cleanse you can make hope Jesus come on can you pray with someone else just come on let the Holy Ghost use you right now a lot of folks in here making decisions many are hurting many are looking for answers come on help them understand it is the name of Jesus that makes the difference it is the power of the name of Jesus that's right there's the power of the name of Jesus There's No One Like You Lord none to compare to you Jesus yeah Worthy is your name Worthy is your name Jesus Hey I Love You Lord I love you Lord healing virtue which you flow right now word of God would you speak right now word of God would you move Lord in this place Jesus you are glorious you are excellent come on there's nobody like Jesus only Jesus can satisfy the heart of man only Jesus could feel the void in your life only Jesus here we love you we trust you Jesus holy is your name holy is your name holy holy holy is your name Jesus great is your faithfulness oh God come on Kenny give the Lord Praise everybody give him praise together I love you Lord and I thank you thank you sweet Jesus I worship you holy God thank you I challenge you today let Let Jesus write your story for you let him let him be real in your life come on let him unfold in front of you and open the doors to opportunities to walk through a life with Jesus it's the only way to live amen somebody say Amen look at three people close to you and say go with God come on tell them look back at him and tell them let him drive for a change come on tell somebody let let the Lord lead for a while I love you Lord I love you Lord so glad that you came today I do I admonish all of you please stay fellowship with us come on you got to eat somewhere right it's Italian food so there's probably something you can find that'll be good hold Somebody by the hand let's pray together can we lord thankful so much for the church family for the Sunday together Lord in your house worshiping and loving you I pray God you would blessed our week this week let the hand of the Lord be upon us lead us in the playing path show us God your will your way every day you're the same yesterday today and forever and for that Lord we're thankful that you're always always God help us today Lord we pray bless and keep us this week in Jesus name somebody say Amen
