The Bible and Science

we are going to continue our series on infallible proofs brother Doron if you'd be so kind to put Acts chapter 1 verse 1 up for me please this is where we have started our lesson anybody remember our first lesson was about what the uniqueness of Christianity how that Christianity in and of itself is a belief following disciple the ways of Jesus but it's more than that because when you follow Jesus you're connecting yourself from Genesis 1 all the way through revelation 22 unlike other religions and beliefs in the world that are based on what man has decided to fabricate if you will and they're hundreds or thousands of God's if you will the uniqueness of Christianity is it is based on the Word of God start to finish and then last week anybody recall what we talked about where was it purpose in creation yeah the the creation of the world and why God put man here why animals plants and so forth I'm convinced that let's put let's go to acts one here let's notice here what the physician wrote somebody read out loud please 1 X 1 + 1 X number - 1 into someone in verse three thank you this is this is how the letter begins if you will the Acts of the Apostles and every week we have referred back to this because go back to verse two brother Doron please sir notice here in verse number two the day which he was taken up after that he through the Holy Ghost had given Commandments unto the Apostles whom he had chosen things are happening here this is Jesus interacting with humanity all right first three then if you would please verse three then takes us he showed himself alive after he had died after he'd gone into the grave and came back alive and forty days he spoke to them of the things concerning the kingdom of God what was Jesus trying to do I've said this every week because this has got to be in your heart in your mind what was Jesus attempting to do in these 40 days Jesus was try thank you for answering Jesus was trying to put something in their lives that would cause them to be stronger greater more powerful if you will as a group then when the Wolves started coming in they would particularly at this particular time begin to scatter them and destroy everything that Jesus was doing it was a supernatural intervention divine design of God that Jesus himself was putting himself into these men because he knew what was about to transpire he knew what was about to take place and how that things were going to happen and notice anybody remember when the church began to disintegrate and it went into two different false beliefs and so forth I mean they were turning their world upside down what happened though it was in the late two hundreds early 300s that these councils began to meet together to try to figure out religions anybody who Church theologian historian yeah and it only took a couple hundred years for things to begin to do this the church though continued to move forward continued to grow Jesus was spending time without denial without question he was showing them and instructing them in things that they would need to so from then forward tonight we're still learning about Jesus anybody here know everything about Jesus you know anything about Jesus yeah alright so we're on the right Road right eath and on the right Road we're getting there okay question for tonight tonight we're going to talk about the Bible and science are there any scientists in here okay let me rephrase there any weird scientist in here any weirdos in here okay all right so the question then to begin tonight's session is is the Bible a book of science or a book of religion mmm both anybody say it's science religion or religion or is it both only one willing to step out there okay relate more than more religion than science all right anyone else is there a book about something else maybe maybe there's another book you're looking into the truth is is that you cannot believe the Bible on points of salvation and then deny all the other aspects of the Word of God the Bible is either the Word of God or it is not we agree you can't simply go in and cherry-pick certain verses that fit you and then decide that okay this is what I believe forgetting those other verses that are so important in there as well if you believe that God is God you believe his word is established then you've got to believe not only acts 2:38 let's say but there's a whole plethora of things in here that you've got to get your mind wrapped around it's either all or none you either believe in him even what you don't comprehend because it's easy to believe in the things you can understand huh you're gonna understand offering and tithing right cuz you've seen God but you can maybe even understand how that miracles can happen healing can train take place because he maybe he's healed you but what about all the other information in the Word of God that you may not under damn because this is what typically happens on Wednesday nights when I'm teaching is I get a lot of this and every once in a while it'll be and when I ask questions there is like you know why well I guess you're afraid I'm gonna pick on your right I have been known to do that the fact is this many times we keep silent in the things because we're not so sure that we really understand it all right stay with me tonight let's go to second Timothy chapter number two second Timothy 2 and 15 this is familiar to most if we probably heard this verse many times 2nd Timothy 2:15 I'd like for everyone to help me read this out loud please can you raise your voices a little bit in church instead of yell at children you can raise it now to read 2nd Timothy 2:15 ready here we go study to show thyself approved unto God a workman that needeth not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth what is the word study indicate okay for you college guys cuz they're several in here tonight what does study mean besides Starbucks what does it mean to study apply yourself in what way if you were gonna have a math test tomorrow and you knew there's gonna be a doozy would you study underwater basket-weaving probably some of us would but that's why I didn't make it real well but anyway no you take the topic and you give yourself to it now okay since we're on the math subject anybody are good at math you realize that math is a matter of what memorization you remember memorizing the multiplication table when you were in school one times one is 1 1 times 2 is 2 1 times 3 is 1 times 1 is you know and you have to go over and over and over my mom would make me met say I'm over and again roster job do that just probably not you already had in your mind right no I mean man I had to get after it no calculators allowed right the truth is understanding how to study stay with me what to study and in what mindset to study it makes all the difference in the world I understand that somebody that's in our church recently received a driver's license no I won't say names of anyone that did but I'm sure that that person probably had to spend time studying for the test anybody remember the driver's license test wasn't that fun man now the driving part miles all over that come on in get in this car I'm gonna show you what I can do Yeah right my dad I'm standing there waiting yeah I beat you to death if you do the written part though I knew it to study why what did I go get the manual and I read through it and went through the little practice exams I studied on how to pass the exam stay with me for the cause then we understand in the Word of God the smart guy in the New Testament that wrote a bunch of letters trying to help these young preachers this is what he told Timothy study you study Timothy because you need to show yourself to be approved somebody that knows how to handle the things of God so you don't have to be bashful ashamed about that for that cause when we look into the word of the Lord we have to understand that study and understanding the principles and the precepts of God will cause you to understand more about him when questions come around listen you may not be able to explain to anybody something that's happening in your life but if you understand the characteristics of God you can go back to them and know Lord I'm not sure what's going on now in my life but I know you and you are faithful I mean I get all of this but I know you're faithful I'm leaning on that characteristic of who you are or God I know that you've answered my prayers before I don't know where you're at right now but because I know you can't answer prayer I'm gonna keep praying you understand that about God now science tell me tell me a definition of science this is so cool y'all stay with me this is a cool lesson I told you last week this one's good science what's the science definition come on come on that one word is something to just throw a word out what is it what Adams Adams okay Lauren you're not allowed to answer any more questions no science basic definition is knowledge as of facts or principles gained by systematic study of a topic knowledge that's what science is science is knowledge knowing things okay anybody here know how to change a tire on a car yeah so what's the thing that you do when somebody says can you come help me change this tire on a car what do you say to them dude this ain't rocket science you've got the knowledge to know how to change a tire huh science is knowledge so listen to it the Bible is in fact a book of science now that doesn't mean it's got charts equations and all that based on studies that somebody went out and did and things that they wrote down but it's of the knowledge of God's purpose and plan for his creation stay with me tonight hold on for a little while sciences as we know that today they're Greek grouped into three different things number one there's physical science number two there's life science and number three there is social science physical life and social those are the science is that we as humans study because we want to know more about them science is chiefly concerned that the universe does exist and everything out there happens here the anybody read today there was an article that was dispatched out of the science I think that kind of stuff school some of it I don't understand and the majority about I could shake my head - an act like I do I can't even do this sometimes and then because I wear reading glasses man you don't even know anything looks good huh yeah they're releasing and by 2026 they will be able in Chicago or Des Moines Iowa I think it was two locations on in the United States to have an argon gas liquid gas filled container the size of a football field he may read that that they're able to send signals into space and the way that it interacts from going up and back down they can determine things about the universe that nobody knows how helpful is that yeah in the article they didn't even tell you how much it cost to build these two things yeah yeah we've got we've got water problems in countries and yet we're filling argon liquid gas into chambers and shooting a signal out into space to figure out the unknowns of the universe I read the whole article I'm sitting there going I don't even know what that thirty six letter word is but I know one thing if it said g.od you'd be all over it three letters fact of the matter is is that so much is given to understand to comprehend when you go into the sciences stay with me for a little while here you're gonna find out that the reason things are on planet Earth is because God put them there okay there are four parts to science okay there are three basic forms of science and then there are four components of science are you ready it's matter its energy its space and it's what is it time right those are the four things you know this Sam you're right even okay Chris you're good at this matter energy space and time any science book you read you'll find that out those four components or what they're searching for when it comes to Sciences doesn't matter which of the sciences they're looking into alright there are four part there they're still used today those four things that's what scientists spend their time looking at is it the matter of it that what it is the energy that it takes the space that it occupies and what time connect is there so for the sake of going into the science book called the Bible Genesis one and one everybody ready in the beginning God created the heaven the earth beginning time heavens face earth matter created energy science oh no that's that's too easy since you realize God did not make this complicated we make it complicated okay continue with me Genesis one and two just go ahead hit the next button and the earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep there was unstructured matter no life no form unstructured it was lifeless and it was in the midst of darkness there was no energy there was nothing the earth was without form void darkness on the face of the deep but notice what happens here and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters listen the energy which is God's Spirit began to move directly on the surface of the matter the water and when the energy moved on the matter the earth became alive and active God's Spirit began to energize what was going on so from the very first verse of the scriptures that we read we see that science is exactly what God is in trying to get us as humans to understand him from the very first when God began to put the earth and everything it was into motion it was him as the energy that began to move on what was there in chaos stay with me let's go a step further Genesis 1 and 3 God said energy said let there be light and there was light and God saw the light that it was good and God divided the light from the darkness verse 5 and God called the light day the darkness he called night and the evening in the morning were the first day the Spirit of God became evident in presence due to the fact that he said actively energy began to happen when when energy happened let there be allow permit it to happen boom light came God's Spirit moving on the matter like what light is is something that makes things visible affords illumination it's radiant energy he divided the light that was good from the darkness and he named them the light he called day the darkness he called night are you with me you got to notice something here this was not the formation of the Sun and the moon that doesn't come until day four so what's happening here in the beginning is science god energy active verbal let there be and in that active verbal word things begin to happen in the matter that was there that was chaotic and nothing yes what it say the energy was there he called it day and he called it night there's yet to be Celestials there's yet to be sun and moon he is I've said this a million times if you don't think God is interested in separating yourself God's interested in separation from the beginning God separated stay with it God was identifying something Here I am energy and when I am energy I bring light what is in the darkness the darkness is what void of light when people are walking in darkness you know what they're walking in void of light this is science stay with me that was the beginning of all things from the very beginning we understand the whole world and the universe was put in to motion the very first day brought all the science has ever needed into the beginning and everything needed to comprehend God's plan of creation it was established on that beginning point listen he is the whole and complete energy spectrum from the very beginning when there was nothing God was and when God moved spoke the energy of God began to food things begin to transpire changes begin to happen now you got to understand energy and matter now are present in the space time and everything happens from that point forward the relationships between the forces that are now in motion and the establishments of all that exists are now moving stay with me things are happening most scientists can only speculate about these forces and simply they can only explain it as we're trying to understand the power the energy that it takes to do something there are there are some schools of thought in tonight for the sake of this session I do not have time to talk about the Big Bang I don't have time to talk about evolution though I have time to talk about Sciences that are based on thought only but what I am here to say is this is that God was the energy that moved everything forward according to science we understand that the earth all of the life that is on the earth can sustain itself by God's creation when God continued to move and God to continue to speak to and he brought forth out of the energy in the matter that was now here and he spoke to and he said let out of that come this let out of this come that let out of this happen with that connect this to that and when it comes forth give it life everything that God put into motion was able to sustain itself because it was a seed that could yield another seed animals produce other apple tree produces another everything needed stay with me everything needed was put there in the beginning God knew exactly what it was going to take all the points of creation God's energy spoke to what he had brought to life and out of that after its kind mentioned several time after its kind after its kind God was establishing the structure in our universe and the truths are from there notice what happens then in Genesis chapter 2 verse 1 thus the heavens and the earth were everybody say it thus the heavens and the earth were finished all the host of them and on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made verse three and God blessed the seventh day sanctified it because that in it he had rested from all the work which God created and made listen to me God completed his work and he rested at that moment the need to continue creating ended was not necessary all that would ever be all that whatever ever would be needed was put into motion and God said it's enough now we have today of course 2018 man's ability to have knowledge says what we can take this seed and this seed put them together and grow this and we call it a hybrid it's a blending of two now there are some things you cannot make a hybrid it's just DNA doesn't qualify the ability to you cannot take a sassafras root and make it into a palm tree well you could but it would be metal and cardboard and macrame and lots of duct tape all right what we see though as humans is we continue to search and discover more and more and more things that we can't understand because it's not in our minds to do so for an example this chamber that I mentioned to you they're gonna measure the universe they're gonna talk about with this argon chambers they're building by 2026 they'll be able to start firing shots to see exactly what our universe is made of how did it happen where did it come from their minds are constantly growing when man for an example went to the moon what happened what they do I mean the just the the ability to shoot a rocket off from the face of the earth stay with me into space go around the moon and come back is a mind blow where do you even begin with the math I'm pretty good at 1 plus 2 but we don't even know how far that thing is out there and the gravitational pull here and there it's got to be different we've never been there but we'll just assume it's this or and all these scientists are trying to grow their knowledge and they begin to do mathematical equations and they begin to think about things and if it's this four here then it must be hits four there and there must be this four there and then it's got to connect with that and then when they come to them and say is this gonna happen will it work what do we do pull the trigger yeah get in that thing helicopters case-in-point not supposed to fly bumblebees not supposed to fly does it make sense the way proportion doesn't work scientist will tell you not supposed to happen how does it happen there's a be June class Kim okay stay with me the Genesis story is all of the actions from the beginning that were needed the seed was put there for everything that would ever be it would continue it would reproduce and all the generations from that point forward had exactly what was needed in order for reproduction to happen now what happens then on a planet cannot can i I don't want to get sidetracked lord help me still God started his plan and his plan will continue until he stops his plan and the more we understand about his plan that knowledge that we get the more that we'll understand Lord your coming is attached to this of the times and the seasons I don't want you to worry about I just want you to know that the Son of Man is coming and what you've got to do is understand what understand the times you're living in understand how seasons are happening I don't want you to worry about it you just need to be watching for them why do you think that the coming of the Lord any believe anybody believe Jesus is still coming back for his church how's that going to happen how what's that what's the word tell us the what I can't bunk bunk 140th of a second is the twinkle of an eye 140th of a second everything will change can we even comprehend that okay if I were to yell go how far would you get in one 40s have a second you'd go huh oh you mean move Wow now it's seven seconds later some of us Logan we'd be like we just be like you know get up get everything put back yeah here we go all right huh the fact of the matter is God knows exactly from beginning to end and how things are going to connect in between why would you not trust God's plan it's his from the get-go it's not yours I would have messed up a long time ago long about a Little Debbie time I would have said okay I'm done nothing better than this we found it this is the Fountain of Youth little Debbie's come on somebody huh some of y'all tell you have that's that coffee yeah that hurts all you got to have now listen to me carefully please if the start brings life the beginning brought life energy power into existence then why are we today 2018 why are we facing such a disastrous future it's on everybody's mind Wow everything's falling apart things are happening then what in the world's going on how are kids doing this and how our couples thinking this and how our individual is getting to this place and why is it that politicians and doctors and teachers and professors and editors know why is everything just a big chaotic ball I'll tell you why because sin came on the scene listen to me Claire carefully please when sin appeared in the world you got to understand sin was an intruder not an inhabitant when sin came into this world it intruded into God's plan wasn't supposed to stay here it's not gonna stay here the end what's going to happen with sin okay it intruded here Romans 5 and 12 wherefore as by one man centered in sin entered into the world and death by sin and so death passed upon all men for that all have sinned sin came into the world that God had put it into existence because of the disobedience of the man that God had created against the laws of God God's intention from the beginning was for men to spend time with him why is it that God came down and said Adam where are you was it was a God hadn't didn't didn't know I thought God would knew everything you know what happened was when sin came in God's creation had brought into now this knowledge what was the tree that God told Adam and Eve not to touch of what the knowledge of good and evil when you know right from wrong you got a choice to make and when that happened is when the intrusion of sin came in and now mankind has to decide you got to make a choice when sin came in according to Roman's it brought death the decline of what God had created that's why from that trees are planted they grow they live they give fruit the loot drop their leaves and then how many how old is the oldest tree you know of anybody how old five years old you know that tree where's it planted how old's the oldest tree you know of anybody I mean an oak that's that big around how old is it huh me say 3/5 a Sequoia a redwood you know it's 40 foot across 390 feet tall how old are they see we acknowledge we know they're old trees but you know what they're doing hey how about a house that you build let's go there that's why when you paint your house today guess what's going to happen a few years down the road what you got to do why because the elements get to it that's a man-made thing stay with me and because the materials that we're working with have flaws in them otherwise you would go buy a box fan down at Walmart today and you could use it for 134 thousand years and it does but what happens every couple years what do you got to do get another one why cuz you're knocking over and I was gonna hit it this guy that drives me crazy or ceiling fan what is it reading for huh you already know it because it's going to deteriorate it's gonna fall apart anybody interested like I am in ghost towns out west oh that's so cool to me these towns the boards are all shriveled and stained by the Sun and I'm like man that's got to be an old town yeah it was built in 1890 I'm like that's only a little over 100 years old I'm not throwing people that old boy y'all look rough sin came on the scene as an intruder and things began to deteriorate stay with me Genesis 1:30 and to every beast of the earth to every fowl of the air to everything that creepeth upon the earth wherein there his life everybody say life I have given every green herb for meat and it was so and God saw everything that he had made and behold it was some he said very good in the evening in the morning were the sixth day did you notice what happens here is that he gave to who every beast as anybody want to guess why we have carnivores today they weren't created to be carnivores what does it say every herb would be what for the Beast there's every thing that crawled everything that walked they were eaten plants but nowadays we're worried about Tyrannosaurus Rex and pterodactyl know they're gone lions and flesh-eating animals do you realize that what happened listen to me when the sin of man came into the world every thing changed everything altered everything not just the life of a man but everything that man touched at that point why was it then that that when God put that curse and made at him and he believed the garden what did he do with them what'd he tell him you know and then what did he put there at the gate an angel with what a what sword thank you and what did he tell Eve you're gonna have what you're gonna hurt a lot when you have a kid it's a little better swerd than that what do you tell man who I'm working right now see there some of y'all probably aren't privy to that lo you may want to feel that later you probably know it huh now what does man got to do you got thistles now growing in the ground you got to clean the stuff out of you're with me stay with me we're talking the Bible and science here in creation we understand everything that was needed to give life was there it could sustain itself God put it there sin is a transgression of the divine law what man brought into the world when he sinned as he changed everything everything began to work contrary to God's plan the purpose of creation was to complete God's plan for all that was made that was his divine plan but sin changed everything so when we understand science and we go to the elements table they may know all of the elements table I know h2 and oh okay and LMNOP no that's the alphabet got sidetracked you may know all 206 bones in the body I know one the head huh that's pretty good right Christian yeah I mean pints of blood and you knew I was gonna ask that we can know things we can understand things may I ask you a question why is and you don't have to even ponder this but I'd like for you to why is it as humans that we have the capacity to remember our second-grade teachers phone number that we called once with a rotary phone we can still memorize that can anybody remember what you had for lunch yesterday why does the mind do that I remember man I remember some of the silliest thing driving down a row I'll start laughing yeah I forgot all about that man I really popped him hard well he got me back though how do I remember that it's a my wife will call say honey did you do there I'll go I'm sorry I'm drunk right back how did I forget that how can I remember that stuff way back there y'all man just look up here compared to me okay how is that even possible I'll tell you why is because our bodies your aide and the influences and the stress and the overweight it and all the stuff and all the things caused us to do things and think thing come on your ladies act like you're exempt no long get me started honey there's supposed to be two eggs in there not one oh well I'll just put it right now no no I ain't the same oh I see we're making cookie this is so funny cuz we're talking while she's making her cookies a chocolate chip one and she'll stop look if she's just talking away making the way she did I put one cup or two well I know what uh what I know yeah I don't mind telling you I'm a man I brought day right past it you didn't you only put one put the other one in farce I'm concerned he's gonna be good in my line come on Dave your same way right my daughter is a Sashi I'm gonna make pancakes and then come I'm in there this thing I'm like babies you're making newspaper were you doing over there huh well I put four eggs why did you do that point I'm making is this minds thing stop why do you think there's a contains in your body what's going on it's crumbling I don't have to say it sin came on the scene if you understand listen to me please if you understand that about God and about man you'll do everything you can do to know God because he's your only way out don't waste your time on frivolous false teachings and doctrines that have no basis whatsoever all that's going to do is cause your mind to be confused the Bible specifically time to time and time and time and time and time and time again talks about that come on don't get sidetracked with vain things don't get on this ramping and then that one don't get caught this and that you'll lose the whole principle of it all listen to what happens in revelation 22 we'll go to the end up we see we started Genesis all were ever like you could tell everybody you want we studied the whole Bible at church last night revelation 22 and 12 somebody that for me please I am Alpha and Omega the beginning the end the first the last how many ways can you say beginning and end first and last alpha how many ways can you say that I was there and I'll be there yeah hey how many ways can you say it so why is it then that it's so important at the ending of the Bible what we call the Word of God that we hold so dear to us why is it that he's coming and he's God is reward with him I'm Alpha and Omega you got to understand I am that doesn't matter if you understand Greek or not I am alpha and I'm Omega I am beginning and end I am first I am last everything from there to there is God the infallible proofs that Jesus was instructing and showing and demonstrating to these guys sitting around there I can only imagine for 40 days that's not a long time 40 days is not a real long time I've taken classes at school went out when I was going through school and man I had to learn physics Oh Lord he had such a hard time Davey I don't mind telling you man I just yeah how much I don't what's the X I don't know give me the number and I'll put it there then I'll know no you got to figure out the X Y it's an it's not even a number I'm gonna sell me all are smart write the x times a squared plus C lMNO Q P and G equals and I'm raised my hand sorry I got no numbers I'm going to give me data I can't do letters how do you add G and H what's that equal oh y'all are like I need chalkboard I don't know but I had to learn by how all goodness I had to learn it took me weeks and weeks and weeks weeks and weeks and weeks just to learn I'm still learning things how is it 40 days Jesus having gone through the passion purpose is now in front of them and with many undeniable infallible perfect proofs he is instructing and teaching and showing and demonstrating things to them and they're sitting there and they're human minds going well how many coffee breaks they were allowed to take huh I wonder sometimes honestly I wonder sometimes if these men just sat around a table like this and went huh sometime I read books you know I try to read but I try to try to study and they understand things and then I read some books and then and I get through page 14 I'm like I don't even know I don't know know what it says I've got a book that I have tried to read ten times and every time I get page 12 and 13 I find a picture I'm like alright I'll stay with you I don't mean nothing but I don't have no idea what that meant but that picture I got anybody else 40 days listen Jesus was instructing them you've got to understand something everything from the beginning was me don't you let anybody confuse you with that what had they been taught up to that point huh what was the Old Testament law to them you got to bring what you got to do what with it you got to trust to for it priests you got to have what done and then it's only good for how long and now Jesus is sitting there saying in the beginning I put all this together it was so chaotic and nasty and dark and gross and nothing there Wow but then I in the spin in that spiritual I am spoke an energy happened and it collided with this matter of void and darkness and sitting there and all this face of the waters thing and all of a sudden this happened and they're all going wow I can oh look was a physician right he's up here hold on whatever keep up he's typing in this computer tongue take notes fingers are all how what I'm telling you mm is this okay these guys man they've been through all they've been through and Jesus through it without question is talking to them instructing leading guiding them and when it comes down to it there is no doubt of who Jesus was with them no doubt whatsoever none whatsoever blessed are they that do His commandments that they might have right to the Tree of Life and may enter in through the gates into the city what was the tree in the garden the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and when there had to be a separation from that why did there have to be a separation from that because God did not want them to get to the Tree of Life because if they got to that tree they would know good and evil forever and I don't know about you I don't want to know good and evil forever I want to know him I want pain sorrow tears I want all that to go away one day I want to hear him say well done enter in I want him to wipe away the tears from my eyes I want him to make me complete and hold as I partake of the Tree of Life there I want him to be able to look at me and say you did good good and faithful servant I got your name right here come on you know I've got a place prepared for you that's what I don't want to go to heaven and worry about all the junk in my body do you know I want life that says here's good here's perfectness so we do the commandments of the Lord we follow his path so that we can have access to the place called heaven heaven is still real heaven is still the goal the goal on earth is not to have as much as you can and then at the end of it all try to figure out what to do with it that's not the goal the goal is to say when it's the end of it all you know what none of this matters it's all temporal give me Jesus because the truth of the matter is nothing else matters houses cars land money clothes car the things they don't have no value in heaven you know that it's one of the reasons that you're gonna get a
