The Mother of All Living

you may be seated if you feel like you need to thank your singers musicians thank you to all of our helpers sunday school teachers staff ladies workers those standing outside those helping us just keep things in order i love you all and i thank you so much everyone for your input into the kingdom amen amen this is a church which means it's a community turn to your neighbor say you look good in church the community to our guests those online we welcome you we're so glad that you have come today it is another day of celebration the lady's name in 1908 to 1912 13 and 14 was anna jarvis she's the one who created this holiday called mother's day at one time of course it was mothering day day of mothers so forth but it was then established in the 50s as an official day a day that would be set apart for the celebration of the influence that a mother can have in the world on so many different levels everyone say happy mother's day of course of course this is an interesting and most of you probably know this because you're smarter than i but i did a little research and discovered that anna jarvis was also the one that was adamantly trying to stop the holiday because it had become so commercialized she said well whoa you guys have missed the point of course hallmark thanks her flower companies are appreciative of her influence the truth is is that there are many times we miss the whole reason behind mother's day amen we miss the the whole purpose in our 2021 culture y'all listen to me for just a few if you would we are at odds if you will with the position and the influence of a mother in a child's life with a lot of the hubbub and a lot of the arguments on what humans ought to be and what position and what place and then on and on it can go there are questions that surround this in our generation today what is the job the position the thing that a mother can do we have witnessed for an example here in the day in which we live that there's a lot of questions about the validity of motherhood is it even really necessary in the world in which we live but i i stand at this podium on this day right here to declare one more time in spite of the attacks and the confusion and all the misrepresentations the mother still can have an incredible influence in the life of her children somebody say amen i don't really care what the media mogul mongols try to tell us about a mom i spent just a few moments this morning for an example a few moments this morning looking through our news outlets on online and i don't know y'all probably did the same thing but in my searching i noticed there was one reference to mother's day way down on the bottom of one of the pages 2021 mother's day is a simple thought now hear what i'm saying 2021 has brought our nation to the place to where it no longer respects nor recognizes if you will the influence and the importance of motherhood guess what was on the top topics of the day yeah you pick one of those i came here today to simply remind us and to say to every mom every mother in this place that are watching online wherever you are happy mother's day happy mother's day thank you so much for your investment in the church and the church's future in our world and our world's future in our cities and in our families mom i thank you for what you are doing and investing in each other somebody say amen i am of course i am fortunate to have such a powerful presence of a mom in my life i talk about her often because i know she watches online therefore i got to keep in good graces i am also though a direct witness to the power that a mother can have on her children by the lady that sits right there that has mothered my children our children i understand the power of a praying mom you listen to this preacher a minute i know what happens when mama prays see dad can pray and my kids used to get nervous mom prayed and they got just scared his mom don't play when it comes to time to pray to all you praying mothers thank you thank you listen to pastor amendment thank you the spirit of the lord works when people pray allow me a moment today if you will to share with you the importance and the need of godly mothers in the book of genesis for an example chapter number 27 i'm simply going to reference a couple of points here today genesis 27 tells us of an account of brothers who were different in every way possible jacob and esau anybody remember them okay they were opposite as opposite could be but their mother knew them both and she also knew the influence that her plans could have on what she did with her children here what i'm saying the mother knew that she could change an entire future of a world by her power and influence in her children's life rebecca loved the son so much that she conjured up a plan that would steal a blessing from the boy's brother that in turn would establish nations revolting against nations the power of a mom first samuel the bible tells us again another reference to a story in your bible tells of a barren woman a wife if you will that was she she was foreign to the workings of motherhood because her husband had taken another woman to wife who could have children because this woman could not hannah she wanted a child so bad she would pray for it she would work for it she would do all she could for but it did not happen until she entreated god and god moved on her behalf she didn't want to change the world she simply wanted to become a mother hear this and because of her connection and because of what god's response was to her brokenness in her heart that reached out to him she brought a boy into the world that would be dedicated to the temple of god and would anoint the kings of the future because she simply wanted to be a mother i could go on and on about the capacity that women have shown of influence in the generations that have been before us and the ones coming after us the bible is full of stories of women that interceded of women that loved and they worked and they did and they labored and they gave and they sacrificed on and on it could go and i would like today on this sunday in 2021 in this day of celebration i want to remind us of the tireless job that a mother has to connect with her children let me show you another story the book of genesis one more time let's go all the way back rewind we run we were always the beginning genesis 2 verse 21 the lord god caused a deep sleep to fall upon adam hear this he slept and he took one of his ribs closed up the flesh instead thereof and the rib verse 22 says which the lord god had taken from man made he a woman brought her unto the man and adam the man said this is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh she shall be called woman because she was taken out of man therefore verse 24 shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave unto his wife and they shall become one flesh they were both naked the man and his wife and they were not ashamed everybody say in the beginning in the beginning come on the account of creation tells us a whole lot of things adam was god's creation he would be called adam because he was the first man god gave adam an incredible responsibility it was his job to call all of the animals what they would become called from that point and forward but what adam noticed was in all of the naming and all of the calling and all of the giving that there was none other like him none other walked upright on two legs if you will none other if you will had an exact of him but the scripture tells us as i just read to you that how god made him to fall asleep and then from adam he took a rib and the word if you will at this in translation is from the scripture as he did before when doing that god says i've already done man but as i have done before i will make an equal one from him therefore he made the man and then he gave the man a job what you gonna call he said whoa man sorry that's another message for another day the term help meet simply translated is as has been done before so just as adam was made here comes the woman the female was made for the male they were to be as before they were to be together it wasn't good that the man would be alone so this woman was made and adam recognized the likeness therefore he declared that she would be the woman the skin the legs the arms the standing the same all this was the same except here this today except she was made for his completion and his replication they would be able to multiply because of the way that god made them i hope somebody in 2021 understands god has a purpose for the man and woman do not confuse the word of god they were able to come together and accomplish the exact task that god had given them to accomplish now listen carefully in chapter 3 of genesis verse number 20 the bible says this adam called his wife's name eve because she was the mother of all living adam was the name to identify with the man that god had created from the dust of the earth somebody said amen we understand him when we get into the third chapter of genesis that as moses is writing these words you got to understand in history in biblical theology understand that moses penned these words but it was years later he was putting together the penta the torah the first five books it is in this understanding find this here in genesis chapter 3 the story in chapter 3 begins with this that the serpent beguiled the woman the serpent lies to the woman he does a number if you will on this newly created woman that god had made for adam the man and in the genesis account we can see here here that god has a plan for humanity it speaks here in genesis the third chapter of the power that the serpent had against or to work against contrary to god's plan we know him as the devil everybody said the devil come on say the devil come on be mad about it the devil yeah that's that satan guy that's that serpentine guy the one who can lie and create lies the one who simply tries to steal and beguile the plan of god with god's creation is it any wonder that we have all of the issues today in the day in which we live it all began back in the beguiling from the garden god's plan coming together would include a liar this is so important god made that perfect place and he put adam in it and he gave him the responsibility to name it and then he allowed sin if you will the ability to disobey in that particular place and lo and behold y'all hang on to me a moment it was the woman who took the fruit it was the woman who took the fruit and gave to the man they both disobeyed they both were lied to but it was not here this it was not until after the act of going against god's plan that the serpent received his punishment and the declaration of a woman's pain and childbirth would be met and the declaration of the work by the sweat of the breath that a man would do then the writer says and adam called her eve the mother of the living so from the very beginning of the created world there was a declaration it is a mother's job it is a mother's responsibility to bring life into existence and the struggle would be there to maintain the rest of the plan of god in its processes and procedures a man and a woman would come together and have children she would feel the pain he would work and together they would live enter 2021 moms please realize that now more than ever before our world needs your prayers and your positive influence mom by the declaration of who you are you have the ability to pray life into your children you have the ability every time you say a prayer about your kids over your kids and to your kids all of heaven stands this is a mom's responsibility every time you teach them a lesson you better not act that way you better do this you are opening heaven's plan and pouring it into that child listen can i go further when you hug them around the neck and tell them you love them that's an anointing that god only gives to a mother when you kiss their fevered brow when you send them out the door every day they go to school you better know mom your prayers matter do not stop being a mother it is in your nature to nurture hear this it is the mother of the living power that was placed in you as a mom dad you don't have the same thing you love them all you want you can embrace them all you want but it is not the same as from a mother all i am declaring today in this allow me just a moment for this generation to understand in this cancel culture in this woke culture in this i'm not really sure what i am anymore culture i've come to declare as far as cornerstone apostolic church is concerned mothers you matter and every time you pray every time you get an altar every time you wake that baby up to send him out to school every time you plead the blood over him you are changing you hear the preacher you are changing this world right now i notice it today brother sam when i went online to look at the news outlets where is mother's day what's happened to mothers and i've noticed in our system of society that as much as the media and the press can try to pull out the plan of god it is now more important than ever for a mom to be found standing there at the door of the house saying if i got a child it is because god blessed me with it if a hannah can pray for a baby if rebecca can use their kids to change the future then surely in this day where we sit right now god's got an anointing for every mom in this room you better never but you never bet you better never question it or wonder if you're a praying mom you stay in the altar if you're a pleading mom you keep pleading the blood you need to understand mothers mother's day is more than just a time to buy a cord and a flower but it is the glory of god in the plan of god for humanity i am so tired of the questions of our world the lies that the enemy has played i wonder what the united states of america would be right now if on this particular day a mother's day every cell phone in the world ring with a mom praying over a lost child baby this your mama speaking and you're going to shut up listen to me in the name of jesus i rebuke the enemy that's trying hey you hear me mom you might have a backslidden son now but he needs you you may have a daughter that's wayward but they need you you might have a baby that's in your arms right now you need to know if they're going to be successful it's not because of the degree they're going to get out of school it's going to be because a mother poured into them because by the nature of eve by the living of life what she did she breathed life into that child it's the same thing that you do listen to me there's a reason that i can stand at this podium today and declare this says the word of the lord it's because i had a praying mother who still prays for me i had a praying grandmother who i know pray for me some of you might be sitting here today saying well i don't have that or i never got that then you better be thankful that through all of the chaos and the confusion god found you and he put a love in you and an ability to say change the world with your babies make them prayer warriors make them preachers make them teachers make them evangelists make them missionaries make them musicians that'll worship the name of god i am so tired in our culture of people searching for excuses but i never had and i never my wife said it so gracefully a moment ago some of you are rejoicing because of what your moms did and some of you hurt today because of whatever i come to tell you god turns all things around hmm i know that i know that on a mother's day that my children's success or failure can somehow some way be connected to their mother's prayer i know that i know that you ask them if they need somebody to pray over them who they call hey dad how you doing hey hey i need prayer for some okay mom there well i suppose what you need prayer about i always want to talk to her okay lord chase honey you gotta have details i didn't know how it's gonna turn honey no i know what to pray for i wanna just pray a miss come on get all the good stuff i believe today that in this room i believe that we are holding the city together don't you think for a moment that because we're not 50 000 that we're not making a difference i know that we are christian every time you go and do your job it's because you pray and because your mother prays for you you need to know you're making a difference in them not only every time it doesn't matter you know somebody's praying and somebody's doing work because god is using and god is blessing if you're a stay-at-home mom you need to know you are on the front lines of battle the front lines of battle are in your four walls don't you think otherwise because if the devil can get into your home he's going to stop your influence that's why the media that's why the media and the press is doing everything to shove all this junk into your home through every avenue and every aspect every phone every tv every computer they're just trying to shove all this junk in there i declare to you that mom if you're praying over your kids that when things happen you can say whoa whoa whoa whoa wait about that but mom everybody know everybody ain't we ain't come on mom you got the right to do that huh hey listen to me and and if your mom is the the mother the living huh i said many times my kids growing up and they come to me daddy mom said honey i'm not arguing against your mother you think i'm crazy i trust her prayers like you do but mom said lord i am not meddling today let me tell y'all something on a mother's day uh my heart really sank today i was i was expecting on the news media outlets to see happy mother's day mother's day and nothing was there sam and i thought god have we missed the value of mothers because everybody has one well my wife said somebody this week made the mistake of saying most everybody has one but everybody has one now listen to me mom it could be that it's the the trials are real and that the the the test and the battle is real and and you're not really sure how or or what you're going to do or how you're going to accomplish it i want you to know that god can make a difference mike number four josh can you help me that god can make a difference in all things now just a moment ago my mother-in-law got to to say something real short and sweet and it's usually mostly sweet see i have to be nice to her too because the lord gave me that gift when i married her but my mom's here today and she's 80. she looks it cause she looks beautiful i hope i look this way lady but she's going to pray for us because that's what my mom does best mama i want you to pray for our church i want you to bless our church i want you to put a blessing over our families i want you to pray an anointing on our families our men and our women bow your head church you better bow your head my mom's praying god will get you pray mom in jesus name in jesus name lord we love you today we thank you for being here with us lord we thank you jesus for your presence and the holy ghost yeah condom will shunned lord we ask you to bless this congregation jesus lord we know jesus that you see everyone you see every need you see what this church needs as a whole you to see what individuals need oh god lord and we ask for your guidance and your protection jesus we ask for all that you give to us because you give us everything lord i love you today and i thank you jesus for this building for everything oh god that goes forth here because it's necessary lord thank you for all the people and the churches that are here today everywhere jesus and are worshiping you lord they are everywhere but lord we and know that you have been here we know this to be a witness to you jesus you you are witnessing to us lord that we see you we praise you we love you jesus you are our life lord you are who we are oh jesus we thank you lord because we know that there is problems that are having with the building but lord you see them all you see them all oh god and they're going to be all right yeah we claim it in jesus name we claim it in the name of jesus lord because you know it's necessary you know it's necessary jesus the world needs to know about you they need to know who you are they need to know what you are what you can do jesus uh lord i love you today and i thank you just for being here lord lord bless this people oh i pray your blessings over these people over this building over everything oh god that takes place in here lord because you know them all they're your people they belong to you and jesus they all belong to you jesus and you see them you know what to do oh god in every situation oh god we thank you for mother's day thank you for the mothers that are here we love you lord and we see seek your face every day every day jesus oh god we cannot miss a day for seeking you i love you jesus i love the people in this congregation and i pray for you every day hallelujah shut down come on listen to the lord i receive it i right now it's mother's day what great reward there would be for somebody to receive the gift of the holy ghost speaking in tongues as a mom is praying with him come on in the name of jesus you can receive a healing today you can receive the word of god today made manifest change you come on would you lift your voice lift your hand to the lord i love you jesus hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah thank you lord god for what you are doing for your plans for our community and our nation would ask right now to close out of this service it's still early it's just 10 after one mom if you're here with your children the safest place you can bring them is to an altar would you come could you come could you bring them to the altar come on come in close as you can come on mom bring your babies husbands you need to be with them come on yeah yeah yeah come on together holy is the lord holy is the lord come on if you don't have one close grab but grab a hold of somebody these moms will be glad to pray with you come on everybody ought to be in the altar right now this is the best place to be jesus jesus hallelujah hallelujah god had a plan and a purpose from the beginning put it into motion and it included the power of praying moms so today we're gonna do the same thing moms pray right now for those that you're connected to call their name out to the lord would you come on pray one for another jesus bless my children lord anoint them oh god you know the plans you have for them and expect to end and it's all all in you jesus come on that's right come on in the name of jesus come on mom that's right pray come on dad help mom pray right now pray for your kids holy is the lord holy is the lord that's right reach out jesus you're worthy you're worthy you're worthy jesus you're worthy you're worthy you're worthy you're worthy hallelujah now whatever it takes for you would you rejoice in the lord because you're with the one you're with right now come on lord i thank you that i'm with my brother my sister my mom my dad my nephew my niece whoever lord i'm i'm glad i'm in the family thankful to be in the family right now i'm thankful to be in the family name i'm pretty certain today that all the moms or the mothers that you read about in the scriptures i would dare say that none of them really knew the outcome you think they were hopeful i gotta wonder when jochebed was putting pitch in that basket if she knew what she was doing oh i just want him to live lord that's god i just want him to live that's all i just i just wanted to live only to find out sister renee that years later he would come back and deliver i wonder what saul's mom thought when she was getting him ready to go to school and sit at the feet of the teacher i don't know anything about this all i know is i i want him to learn i want him to understand languages and cultures and so forth and so i wanted to be strong and i want him to be willing and i wanted to be you know just yeah make him make him determine god i'm not really sure how this all works only to find out one day that with all that he had learned he would try to destroy the church and god would say saul what are you doing why are you what i got something for you paul comes along i know for a fact i'm pretty certain of this and when my wife and i we had our kids i just knew they're gonna be so good i could say it to when i was whipping and this hurts you more than it does me i knew you get that some people missed it all right no guarantees right one thing's for sure though god hears your prayer and he knows the life that you have prayed into those babies it may come a weirdest strangest way but right now god's working because his word never stops working we're in 2021 and this world so desperately needs prayer warriors and i'll tell you i'm done i'll tell you i would just as soon as one of these children that has faith pray for me to be healed and somebody who ought to know heary cause these little ones will just believe put your hand in the air let's pray together as we go lord thank you for this day a celebration of your plan i know that your purpose is right and principles are right the way you do thing god is right it's right and i know we're human and we can bring so much disaster and discouragement stuff but through all of that lord if we'll just simply love and lift you up things things can come to fruition and change and you god can get the glory in all of it i pray lord for our church family god bless our family go with us this week lord we're going to come back rejoicing i speak right now against the workers of iniquity that would try to stop the church in this hour be gone remove your hand the church is still victorious it is still established in jesus name in jesus name in jesus name there will always be those people of the name and i'm believing you god that the move of the spirit in this day god is going to come from prayer warriors that will
