The Sound of Abundance of Rain

would you pray with me church lord i love you today and so thankful for your spirit for truth for the glory of the lord that fills this room right now thank you today lord we have prayed we have sought your face we have sung the songs of zion now lord we look to your word for direction and guidance for anointing an unction lord for clarity god for purpose thank you lord for the opportunity to be here today lord one more time i make myself available to you you love so desperately must have you jesus breathe into this room holy ghost i pray i'm going to love you and trust you for all things jesus somebody say in jesus name that feel good in the presence of the lord today thank you all so much for being in the house of the lord to all of you singers musicians sunday school teachers prayer warriors greeters at the door water giver routers coffee maker uppers parking lot protectors anybody that works for the kingdom i thank you and i want you to know i appreciate it greatly amen this is what the lord does in people as he allows us to to be involved amen great things going on in the church i don't know if anybody ever notices the prayer requests that are put up every week does anybody notice those anybody ever notice that those names change why is that because god answers your prayer now some of them stay a while they do situation ukraine i don't know how long we'll pray for that but guess what we'll keep praying believing that all right for an exam as an example there are so many of us today that stand here in this room an incredible miracle of the lord because we should have been dead and gone and by the way but god but god moved god moved amen amen you may be seated thank you so much we are in the midst of april of 2022. somebody shout springtime in tennessee yeah warm days cool nights come on at our house we tried to sleep one night with the windows up because we have screens on our windows and it was great and the next morning i couldn't breathe and said this don't work winter over flowers are in bloom trees are in bloom and everybody's sneezing somebody say yeah we're gonna identify with the pollen in the air i forgot i had a green truck i thought it was gray but it's not this week a new season we're reminded guys listen you're reminded that in this time of year you actually live in the part of the country that actually has four seasons aren't you thankful for that i mean some places don't have that some don't have it as it turns out there are four distinct seasons in this area this time of year also reminds us that of a fateful yucky not so good day that happened a couple years ago tornado came through in this springtime anybody recall that yeah mentioned it once in a while and but it actually changed our lives did it not in a matter of moments things changed how many know that things can happen very quickly and change everything yeah and in that particular moment for an example just 12 minutes or so homes were destroyed businesses were upended loss of livestock personal property list of things affected by natural disasters is really hard to put a number on but i'll tell you this according according to the internet everybody knows that everything on the internet's right right a year and a year in a 12-month span of time they claim that from 54 to 130 billion dollars is spent on natural disasters everything from tornadoes to hurricanes to floods and anything else that's a lot of money i mean it's more than i have some of you might not think it much but all seasons come and seasons go and there's always something about that season that surprises us does it not i give an example just recently we had 75 degree days and then woke up one morning it was 40 and we're like what happened surprise yeah it ain't happening yet things happen and they they adjust us and we learn kind of just take them in stride just keep keep moving forward but the facts are that it can affect you and some of you may be even sitting under the sound of my voice or watching online maybe you've become a little timid when the winds begin to pick up and the storm clouds begin to gather and things begin to happen if you will in the atmosphere in fact some of us are a little nervous when the alarm on your phone goes off because there's inclement weather i'm not sure what inclement means but it has to do with weather and my my lovely wife man she has hers her alert thing on nine million decibels man if there's a storm at 2 am you better know i'm not praying for it i didn't want to be tim i didn't want to be but her phone i'll just have to say lord jesus come on that's a quick prayer that's one of them and everything attached to it she she has the great great task of saying what what what happened you didn't hear that the government spends millions of dollars if you will to have early warning systems high-tech they're sophisticated they can then they can tell you about the impending bad weather you might have an app on your phone there's sirens there's alert systems radar the radio detection and ranging system radar looks out there and tells you you know what there there's something coming in fact there's aircraft there are folks whose job on their resume says i fly in an airplane in the eyes of the storm and if then how do you how do you even talk about that with someone huh how do you put on your resume and you go for a job interview what kind of work do you do well my last job i flew an airplane in the middle of tornadoes or hurricanes really and you're here to sweep floors here's the point i'm making you want to be prepared anybody want to be prepared for what's happening yeah you want you want to make sure that you've got your ducks in a row and you know what you're doing you know where you're headed you know what's happening right the fact is is there are some things that you don't know what to do what do you do when there is no change in the weather when there's no rain no wind no storm no snow day and night's pretty much the same desolate overwhelmingly gross time let me let me read you an account in the old testament of just such a time the bible tells us in first kings chapter number 16 verse 29 and in the 30 and eighth reign 38th year excuse me of asa king of judah began ahab the son of omri to reign over israel and ahab the son of omri reigned over israel in samaria 20 and two years and ahab the son of omri did evil in the sight of the lord above all that were before him verse 31 it came to pass as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of jeroboam the son of nabat and he took to wife jezebel the daughter of ethbale king of zidonians and went and served baal worshiped him verse 32 says this and he reared up an altar for baal the house of baal which he had built in samaria and ahab made a grove and ahab listen to this did more to provoke the lord god of israel to anger than all the kings of israel that were before him what a great resume huh my job description i've done more evil than anyone i've been the worst that anyone has ever seen and i'm proud to say that my humility really stinks he did worse than all of the other kings according to the records that were kept in those days they they tracked the lives and the sayings and the ins and the outs and the ups and the downs and the people and the progress and all that the kings they would have scribes and it was appointed to them to make notes of all the legal and the business dealings that that were to make sure that the kings would be protected in case they were to come up against another king or kingdom they would know what was required the law what was allowed and what was not and these scribes they kept record and it is said of the king ahab this one thing he did more to provoke god to anger than all of the previous kings what a thing to be said about his judgments what a thing to be said about his inability actually well what about his lifestyle what about the things that he did the bible says specifically that he did evil in the sight of the lord he was king for 22 years everybody say doing bad stuff yeah as much as the scribes could keep the records also in that day was known and it was proclaimed and initiated that every king would have a prophet and that prophet for the king would be the voice of god for the king the the people they believed in the higher power y'all stay with me a moment therefore history teaches us that a man of god would be in the place to speak into the life of the king to go before god with prayers and supplications at the time of battle at the time of situations that affected the kingdom and in this particular case there was a prophet that was named elijah this was the man of god for the king it was his job to be a voice for ahab the king though had a very terrible reputation agreed elijah's job needless to say would be very very challenging if you'd like you may call it difficult because of ahab's disconnection with the ways of god elijah was the voice that would speak to his life notice something in first kings chapter number 17 verse number one elijah the tishbite who was of the inhabitants of gilead said unto ahab listen this is the voice of god to the king this is what he says to ahab as the lord god of israel liveth before whom i stand there shall not be do nor rain these years but according to my word because of your sins because of your lifestyle ahab is king because of what you have done i will speak now and i will declare that there will be no rain there will be no dew in the morning until i open my valve and i speak it again no morning dew no moisture no rain from heaven what the prophet was saying at that particular moment was this listen carefully to your pastor a moment he was saying to the king all of your livestock are going to die all of your crops are going to fail every river and every lake and every stream will dry up there will be no rain that will come out of heaven and there will be no morning dew understand without moisture on the ground you can't have grass without rain from the heaven you can't have fish without those things happening what the prophet was saying in the process of time things are going to get very very very bleak nothing can live without water you understand fish wildlife flowers grass all of this was declared because the man of god spoke a word and said i'm telling you right now ahab you're in a bad place and because of that for until i say otherwise nothing is going to grow nothing will be seen prospering there will be no clouds there will be no floods there will be just dry dusty land all the crops will stop growing all the fish will die in their stream beds all the ships will go to dry land it's going to be a terrible terrible place hear me now ahab was going to pay for the terrible things that he did as a king therefore elijah the prophet declared no rain and no do it might be today somebody sitting under the sound of my voice whether in this room or watching online it could be that you might really truly understand the meaning of severity the meaning of the dry and the desolate the arid and the dusty it could be that under the sound of my voice today somebody sits who has not felt the cool drop of water in your life for many days maybe you're sitting here and in your spirit you have felt the dryness of the separation of the great reigns of the holy ghost breathing and pouring into your life i'll ask you this way on a sunday afternoon how long has it been since you felt the soaking wet spirit of god saturate your soul to a place where you didn't know where to say or what to do how long has it been since you walked in the joy of the lord knowing abundantly he has blessed me and he has given to me the things in my life that cause joy to happen within me it might be that your mistakes in life has caused you to walk in a dry spell but hear me friend as bad as ahab was it might be that you've not been that bad but the drought is real in your life you may come to the house of the lord you may even get up and say your prayer you might even know that god is god but for some reason you feel dry it's been a while since you've just felt the liberty and the power of almighty god flooding over your soul i've come today to declare in the season of dryness in the season of drought it might be time that somebody sitting here today would declare all i know is this one thing if i don't get a drink from heaven today i'll surely die allow me to finish the story if you will and elijah said to ahab get thee up eat and drink for there is a sound of abundance of rain so ahab went up to eat and drink and elijah went up to the top of carmel and he cast himself down upon the earth put his face between his knees said to his servant go up now look toward the sea he went up and looked and said there's nothing he said go again seven times came to pass on the seventh time that he said behold behold there arises a little cloud out of the sea it's like a man's hands all the way i can explain it understand what the servant was saying it's been a while since i've seen a cloud he said go up say to ahab prepare thy chariot get thee down that the rain stopped thee not and it came to pass in the meanwhile that the heaven was black with clouds and wind and there was a great rain and ahab road and went to jezreel and the hand of the lord was on elijah he girded up his loins and ran before ahab to the entrance of jezreel understand what elijah was telling ahab was simply this the time of your drought is over you need to get up and prepare yourself for a journey why because when you get to jezreel you're going to find out that the heavens have opened listen to what it said it wasn't just a sprinkle it wasn't just the morning too but the clouds began to cover all of the earth and the darkness thereof but in the midst of that something began to shed itself water began to drip from the heavens and the torrential downpour began to fill the land where they were a feeling the holy ghost felt it all night long and early this morning that there are some of us in this room it's been a while since you've understood that the power of god is more than a feeling it's more than just a tingle in your feet in a tingle in your hands but the power of god is an anointing that should be as rivers of living water flowing from your innermost but you feel like you're in a desolate land it might feel like you're in a dry place it's been a while i've come to declare to somebody if you look to the heavens there will be an anointing that will come into your life i wonder today is there somebody that's willing to pray for a storm in your life is there somebody willing to pray god of glory whatever it takes to open the windows of heaven and anoint this oh boy anoint me god let the spirit of almighty god move into my life oh preacher please understand i'm not a bad person ahab was and the heavens were closed three years nothing turn your neighbor and say nada come on make it southern narlick nothing but oh when the folk got to a place brother lorenzo they begin to look about they begin to wonder they have finally decided you know what this don't look good at all i'm dying here crops are dying here things are falling apart here finally the man of god decided you know what here's the day this is the moment this is the hour i'm telling you ahab get up on your chariot do everything you got to do to make sure those horses are ready and that chariot listen to me what happened why did he have horses still i've often wondered this the water wasn't there somehow someway the king survived somehow someway people lived in fact the bible says even at this point that elijah when he put on his shoes he gird up his loins he was putting on his joggers i don't know about you but without water i'd be struggling i struggle without a cup of coffee three years without water somebody hear me now but he said there is a sound out there and it's not going to be a sprinkle it won't be one of those little nice pretty springtime storms but it is the sound of an abundance of rain something's going to transpire here that's going to literally change the climate it's going to alter what's going on in the world around you is there anybody in the house of the lord today that will declare lord i'm ready for the storm in my life come on some of you are scared to death of the storm it's shaking you because of what's going on around you and you don't want it all to be in a storm or a trial in your life please understand something that through your trials and your tribulations and through the test of your spirit is where the strength of the lord is going to come you'll never know the hand of god's on your life until the hand of god begins to work in your life you'll never know the miracle power of a miraculous healing unless you are first sick to be able to discover my god will heal come on for those of you who will declare he'll supply all my need according to his riches you need to first understand there's going to be a time of drought in my life where i'm going to suffer and i'm going to wonder when i've come today to ask somebody when is enough enough when are you ready to say i declare it today god i want a saturation of your spirit in my life i want a storm to come and to rain down on me more than i could even understand y'all hang on to me for one more minute we teach it we preach it we scream it we sing it if i will god be faithful if i will give if i'll bring it to the storehouse you will pour out upon me such a blessing what not enough room to receive it that doesn't make a lick of sense to me go with me not enough room to receive the blessing how many of you like the blessings of the lord well when is the room too small to handle god's blessing because it says i'll pour out and you won't be able to handle it which means that he'll have to stop because you don't have any you ain't got no more room that's all you got no room to receive all of this blessing and you'll live in it come on years ago my wife and i married 35 almost years ago it has been total bliss and serenity one day for us i almost messed up didn't i sweetie we got married that trailer we lived in was seven feet wide 40 feet long the bed in the bedroom was a full-size bed and we couldn't close the door of the bedroom didn't have room for anything else but the bed the door had to stay open we had a little bit of table for a night stand you all with me i mean you know that's a small room the second bedroom in this two-room trailer was the closet we had room to hang a few clothes and a little chest of drawers bathroom was even smaller you had to come out and think about why you came out and go back in and say now i'll rinse it off hardly any heat in the winter time i'd pour myself a glass of tea at night drink part of it set it on counter by the next morning it was frozen solid it's fact am i right baby in that room brother tim everyone took in a whole bunch taking a whole bunch for god to pour out enough where i'd be filled up all right lord that didn't take much at all you understand but then sometime later my mom bought a farm after my father passed away and mom called and said hey why don't you come move in this house i'm gonna go live on the farm y'all just make the payment here it was a three bedroom one bath one bath but it had a living room dining room kitchen it had a great room my wife and i get all of our 15 pieces of furniture we shove it in there and we're standing there looking at one another across the room we got more room now and in my mind i'm saying now god i got more room to receive your blessing hang on to pastor for a moment what i have discovered about the things of god is if i am faithful to the things of god god is faithful and what god does many times is he pours out a blessing that we can't contain it we can't receive it we don't know how but what does god do with the reserve you know what i do in my smallness in my insignificance i still give i still live and i still do the things of god all the while this part that god's got i see it in my mind is getting filled up again he wasn't able to give me all of it then but now this reserve is growing with the other so when she and i got into a bigger house and the blessing of the lord then i can understand now he's pouring it out and guess what he's pouring out more but they were sufficient because of what was left over and what is new but then all of a sudden that house has got to be filled there's no more room to receive blessing what does god do he don't pour it on the ground he doesn't give it away he simply says i got you and when you need it i'll give it to you if you'll simply learn how to live and do the things that i tell you to do i can pour out upon you a blessing so much you won't be able to receive it i'm not going to throw away the rest i won't give it away one thing i did discover though is when the blessings of god were overflowing in my life and i watched the vessel cease i noticed that when i had children come into my life that they were blessed i gotta believe somehow someway god said i got enough blessing here to help them as well i got enough blessing here to help them as well you don't believe it you go ask job job why did you go make a sacrifice for your children after they had a party it was because i'm not sure what they've done or where they've been or what they've been through but i will not allow the vengeance of god to destroy them instead i'll go make a sacrifice just in case listen to pastor a moment what ahab did at that time he did evil in the sight of the lord but it took a drought for him to finally realize is there a god in heaven and elijah to stand and say get your chariot together friend because today i hear the sound of an abundance of rain servant get out of my way i've got a journey to make there's something coming into the kingdom now if y'all stop the reading there brother drunk come on you'll notice things happened blessings returned but lo and behold in chapter 18 what transpired elijah sees jezebel everything that was told to her about how elijah had killed the prophets who killed the prophets in the groves hmm some 850 were killed on that particular day guess what jezebel said oh no he didn't and she wanted to kill him and what did elijah do he ran he hit himself and he trembled he had just seen the greatest miraculous miraculous things that you could ever see as a person and yet when the trials and the ferociousness of a person came against him he wondered where god was just moments before this elijah was running with everything that was in him because there was rain coming back to the land you know what elijah should have done of course we all can stand back later and point a finger right but we know we're in the same position many times god will anoint you on a sunday you'll stand in the presence of god and weep tears of joy but on tuesday something happens drought hits dust blows where's god now where is he he said he'd pour out a blessing that i couldn't contain i couldn't receive i don't know what to do with it let me tell you something a lot of times we associate the blessings of god with your back pocket your wallet and it has nothing at all to do with that the tithe mentioned of course is not what things you feel like that god might ought to want from you it is your obligation to the things of god to say lord you blessed me here's my first fruit i do that how cheerfully not happy cheerful lord you didn't have to do it but you did you woke me up this morning you started me on my way you didn't have to do it but you did you blessed me lord this morning you provided for me this morning you've been good to me this morning come on cheerfully i bring it to you i give it to you i know god it's not even mine but i release it to you in the process of doing that what is happening is you are discovering again that through it all god's a provider some of you today you feel very dried up in your spirit maybe even dusty and desolate where there's no been there's not been rain there's not been due to to wake me in the morning there's not been flowers and greenery and pretty things but all that i can see is the ugly and the dry and the desolate some of you need to change your prayer and say lord send a storm my way of abundance let me feel the glory of the lord one more time on a sunday afternoon as you touch my life because lord if you do i know god you're on my side you're you're doing god you're moving in my life and i submit to you stand with me would you please a storm a storm the bible says in this account that the heaven was black with clouds wind great rain it wasn't something that was beautiful was something that overshadowed everything but it was bringing life one more time to the land one more time rain was coming things were going to grow again processes will be put back into place livestock animals things will begin to happen like they should happen are you here today and it's been a while since you felt the free reign of god over your life are you here today and you feel like that something desolate has happened and you're not you're not even sure if joy can be strength to you anymore because it's been a while since you felt it would you ask god would you please storm rain on me i desperately need you it could be that you've closed up yourself it could be that repentance is far from you it could be that submission to god is is distant from you it might be you simply need to get back to the place to where you know where joy is and that is in the presence of the lord in fact at his right hand or what pleasures forevermore both hands lifted high eyes open looking to heaven would you pray with me right now lord let there be an abundance of rain in this place today come on pray it lord the storm clouds gather with rain god it's it's been a dry time it's been a dry time in my life i want you to reign god in my life oh jesus i want you to reign in my family in my home and my finances and my health jesus i need you come on there's somebody that'll bring that praise that prayer right now to an altar get out of your chair say come on god i'm coming to you lord i'm coming to you lord i'm coming to you would you bring it right now and declare it lord jesus i thirst for you breathe god in my life today the prophet said that i hear the sound of abundance i hear the sound of abundance that's right come on oh god let me get past this dryness let me get past lord this daredness this help me god to get through lord god this desolation lord i want to feel the glory of the lord in my life one more time i want to feel the blessings of almighty god in my family one more time come on that's right jesus jesus poured out god in my life pouring out lord god in my life help me to rise above the fear and the doubt and the question lord jesus let me one more time let the storm of the holy ghost let it move within my life today pour it out lord pour it out lord pour it out i pray come on that's right make it your prayer make it your prayer lord jesus i need you jesus i need you jesus i desperately need you oh come on that's right let it rain in my life lord let it rain in my life let it rain in my life lord let it rain in my life let me feel you lord come on that's right cry out to him sin the rain send the reigns in the rain i'm tired of this desolation i'm tired of this desert lord send the rain come on would you go pray with somebody buying together come on let your prayers unite with someone else pray for them speak a word into their life let them minister to you today come on that's right gather up next to someone lord i need you breathe in my life jesus breathe in my life jesus let it rain lord let it rain jesus oh come on that's right restore to me the joy of salvation the joy of salvation jesus the joy of salvation knowing god you're in control knowing jesus you're on the throne restore god bring me lord jesus one more time under the spout of the glory of the lord oh come on that's right making your heart cry i'm hungry for you jesus i'm hungry for you jesus i need you sweet jesus i need you holy ghost power i need you in the morning i need you in the evening i need you in the good day and the bad day i need you lord oh come on that's right let there be a breakthrough in your life right now press through all the doubt the dryness press through the air and this into the voice and the presence of god breathe on the lord jesus pour it out in my life jesus oh come on that's right grab a hold of somebody else pray with them lord anoint my family anoint my brother today come on pray with them god give them the holy ghost explosion in their life today jesus that's right come on pray the prayer of faith god you can raise them up oh jesus you can't speak into their life yeah i trust you jesus my soul says yes my soul says yes to you god jesus oh come on that's right that's right come on some of y'all are walking out of the dry place right now some of you are walking into the presence right now let it rain let it rain lord let it rain jesus let it rain there's an abundance of rain let it pour out in your name jesus there is anointing dear god there is glory in your nazis through it right now i've come to praise you jesus i've come to worship you mighty god i bring it to you lord i bring it to you lord don't let me be afraid of it don't let the dark clouds cause fear don't let the winds blow god cause fear but i look for the rain of your spirit restoration in the name of jesus oh come on that's right break through break through come on this breakthrough holy ghost breakthrough holy ghost breakthrough come on go get a hold of somebody pray with them right now holy ghost breakthrough in this place spiritual anointing in this house breakthrough in this place jesus jesus you are the answer you are the way the truth and the life you are jesus everything that i'll ever need let the storm right now of the holy ghost let it work in me today let it move in my life today jesus open the windows of heaven today jesus i pray oh that's right come on revival in this place anointing in this backslider today you can reach them lord in the storm we are reaching today lord for lost loved ones and children god that have gone astray you can reach them lord in this storm come on let it rain right now intercede god you can bring my husband or my wife or my children jesus only you can lord only you know how jesus let it rain god let it rain lord jesus yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah that's right that's right pray come on there is breakthrough in the spirit let it rain jesus oh that's right come on don't be an observer reach for god right now come on the holy ghost is in this room right now you lord needing you jesus come on i'm praying right now for my brother and my sister i pray the name of the lord god would be revealed in this hour that the glory of almighty god work in the life i and pour out a blessing that we can't even receive it all we can't contain it all and i know lord you're mindful of every step we take in every journey we make lord i believe today your word says that there could be moments of dryness and desolation and even loneliness today god i know lord that you can reign down into our lives with holy ghost spirit holy ghost anointing you can strengthen lord sweet jesus sweet jesus with jesus jesus jesus jesus jesus glorified we glorify your name come on we know him to be faithful is that right would you give him a thankfulness right now lord thank you for your faithfulness your loving kindness is greater than life your truth lord passes all things keep us this week god protect us lord prepare us for revival i pray somebody say in jesus name again on one two three four five thank you six thank you friday sun up to sundown one come on two three four five thank you listen carefully please if you didn't raise your hand you still be involved listen carefully sun up to sundown you pick your fast you know how desperate and hungry you are but this is what i want you to when you're fasting scripture says you got to connect the fasting with prayer blend them i'm believing god will do what we pray for amen now this church has been through a whole lot but we've got a whole lot farther to go amen neighbors co-workers loved ones pray through this fast this week ask god to give you opportunities to reach to somebody i'm not asking you to beat him over the head with anything i'm simply just pray god just give me an open door just just give me something lord to shake their hand put my arm on him let him know i'm praying for him and if it goes so far god let us lord travail at work for six hours during our lunch time whatever you understand prepare yourself for it when the preacher comes next week and begins this listen carefully you need to be in the mind of god amen because god is going to move thank you cornerstone thank you for your
