The Zeal of the Lord

lift your hands wherever you are right now pray with me lord we love you you are the mighty God the everlasting father your perfect righteous is your name wonderful is your name one more time Lord we call upon you I pray the word of God would be sharp today I pray it would be double-edged dear God let it come in Lord to our lives and do its job I pray it in your name I need you Lord I'm available to you we need you we want to hear from you in Jesus name we pray in Jesus name we believe honor you Lord we love you Lord we magnify and exalt you father great is your faithfulness great is your faithfulness Jesus hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah and let everybody say in Jesus name a man you can be seated you can get comfortable wherever you are just don't fall asleep welcome you all to the end of March here at Cornerstone I do have a question for today have you ever made up in your mind that you were going to accomplish something you were going to do something no matter what it took no matter how long no matter the cost no matter who it affected you were going to accomplish what you set your mind to do now I know that having asked that question that that I will I will say to add to that we have all set goals in our lives have we not yeah we've all pushed ourselves to reach for the prize I know that perhaps it was a test that you had to study for maybe it was an accomplishment that you needed to do so you can add that to to your resume whatever that thing was it it pushed you it drove you into a place of desire almost consumed maybe with it you poured yourself into the books you you you pushed yourself into study you you gave yourself to preparing and understanding you you sought for answers you made sure that you were going to be successful at that thing you made up in your mind you were going to do it there something to be said for those who will determine and establish themselves and make a declaration I will not be denied the will of man is actually a very very strong and powerful thing the history of mankind there have been those who have had such a strong and a powerful desire that time and time again doctors would be astounded for an example that the people around this person may be laying in their bed they the doctor said there's nothing more we can do that maybe Hospice even had been called for the end-of-life care and and the order had been given that there's no hope in this situation only to find out that days maybe even weeks later that person is still alive that's called the will of a man it's called the desire to want to live if that person makes up in their mind that they're going to continue they can continue they're going to be strong and they're going to do strong things whether it's trying to learn how to ride a skateboard or a bicycle whether it's trying to get into the best college around it might be that you're trying to land a dream job you've already determined that hardwork and desire can make all of the difference in the world anybody know what I'm talking about determination can change the outcome of a situation as we once again look to the word of the Lord this week please allow me just a moment to share some examples of that attitude there once was a lady a wife her name was Hannah she wanted a child she could not bear children and for her that was nearly impossible to accept so she petitioned God came before the priest time and again anguish and tears drove her timing again she pleaded I would like to have a child I will not be complete until I have a child lo and behold because she would not be turned back the Bible unfolds the story that she gave birth to a boy names baby named Samuel and Samuel quite literally will change the world Hannah would not give up there was Jonathan spoke about in the word he loved David as much or even more than he loved himself he gave up his rights in order to pursue David's dream and call that God had placed upon him he even gave his friend his armor so that he could use him he stuck with David through all of his trials and all of his tests and God rewarded Jonathan because he had committed himself to a cause that was higher than he was there was a man named Saul he was of the city of Tarsus determined to stop the movement of these Christ followers with a letter of respect and authority from the ruler of the day he proceeded to extinguish the voice of Jesus and the Church of that hour yet with one encounter of a blinding force Saul discovered his true desire was to be a voice for God instead of a voice against God so the Bible gives us the reference his name was changed to Paul he would be a preacher like none other he would be a Reacher like no one else all for the good news of the birth the death the burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ I come today to tell somebody if you will make up in your mind to do something for the glory God if you will determine within yourself I will make a difference now in this world I've come to tell your friend that you too can add your name to the list that I just mentioned to you all because people choose to push to make a difference to do something that leaves the world a better place let me talk to you then about the trait that comes from a higher power the book of Isaiah chapter number 9 allow me to read some verses to you Isaiah chapter 9 verse number 6 for unto us a child is born listen to me carefully unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulder and his name shall be called wonderful counsellor the mighty God the everlasting father the Prince of Peace 7 says this of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom to order him to establish it with judgment and justice from henceforth even forever listen carefully the zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this Isaiah the prophet of God looked into the future and declared something is coming about I may not be here when it happens I might not see it come to fruition but there's gonna be a child born there's gonna be a son that will be given to this world the government is gonna rest upon him he'll be named wonderful yes he will he'll be named counselor yes he will he'll be named the mighty God yes indeed he'll be named the everlasting father you better know it he'll be named the Prince of Peace that's right but the power of this child's government will not end he will put things in order he will establish judgment and justice I know that today we live in 2020 and I know that if you read Isaiah 9 you understand it's talking about the kingdom of Jesus Christ but I've come here today to tell somebody that God has a plan and that as the plan begins to unfold his power his plan and his purpose he will do what he said he will do how is it then that in this year in which we live in this week in which we've been living how is it through that all of time that God has been God Oh somebody listen to preacher today how is it that through the floods God still remain God how is it that through sicknesses and diseases God still remain God how could it be that kingdoms rose and kingdoms fell but God continued to be God somebody how is it that governments rose and governments fell yet God was still God how could it be uprisings and down falling so that things could happen but God would still be God how is it that in the good days and in the bad days and even the ugly days that God is still God how is it that the plan of God still remains I'll tell you why is somebody here right now because the zeal of the Lord of Hosts has performed it will perform it and there's nothing anything can do to try to stop it if you were to go into your dictionary or somebody hear the word you'll understand the word zeal means this fervor for a person a cause or an object eager desire or endeavor enthusiastic diligence I've come to tell somebody that the fervor the cause the object the desire the endeavor the enthusiastic diligence of God is gonna perform his plan no matter what sickness or disease no matter what job comes or goes no matter what system fails or goes up or down I've come to tell you the zeal of the Lord God will accomplish its task God has a plan and you are in that plan he will do what he says he will do there is no way that our God can lie there is no way that our God can lie somebody needs to hear God cannot lie no matter where you are today it might seem that things are wickedly passing by you but you need to know that if God put his promise in your life if God had made a commitment to you you heard it in an altar of prayer you saw it in your prayer closet you saw the light come on and your family come to an altar it may not have happened just yet but you need to know the zeal of the Lord will perform it you need to know that one day on his time on his clock in his way in his pattern the way he established it the zeal of the Lord will accomplish what it says it will accomplish if God has ever made a promise to you you need to know that the seal of the Lord will accomplish that promise there's no death that could separate you there's no life that could ever pull you from it there is no way that's a valley or the darkness of the valley would pull you away from it the zeal of the Lord will accomplish what it sets to accomplish in the middle of your darkest night the seal of the Lord is still there it is exactly what it needs to be for the hour in which we are living he knows exactly how to do what he is doing in the midst of the biggest questions in your life let God be God and trust his zeal trust the zeal of the Lord understand that the zeal of the Lord can move mountains the zeal of the Lord can write the wrong the zeal of the Lord can establish whatever is needed to establish the timing of God is his timing in not ours as I stand at this podium today on this Sunday I've come to tell somebody the zeal of the Lord has you in mind the zeal of the Lord has you in purpose and it might appear like things a fell apart it might look like you don't know how it's gonna turn out tomorrow well I've come to tell you the zeal of the Lord will bring it to pass and if you and I today in whatever situation whatever place whatever obstacles we faced if we can allow the power in the hand of God to work in our lives I know beyond the shadow the doubt I don't have to prophesy this word I don't have to declare this word as if it's something new I can simply let you know that when Paul wrote a letter to Titus he told Titus God cannot lie he is able more than able to do what he said that he could do today as we have gathered together and from your room from your hospital from your kitchen from your dining room wherever you are in your car on your job in this place wherever you are today I want to give you a word of encouragement and hope I want you to realize that God knows exactly what's going on what would it be like in this hour as if the middle of your prayer time you would declare to the Lord your zeal is going to accomplish the promises you've made Isaiah spoke about this baby that would be born it changed the world because the zeal of the Lord accomplished it I believed there matter what circumstance that we are in that our God is able to do his word stand with me please everywhere wherever you are please stand with me whether it's on you in your house work wherever I believe the power of the Holy Ghost is so real and so correct and I'm not really sure what kind of week you've had I don't know if you're going stir-crazy I don't know if you're questioning how if your jobs gonna be there or not it might be that you've gotten bad news it could be that things aren't turning out like you thought I just wonder in your darkest moment in your deepest question what does God have to say about you hmm unconvinced today the seal of the Lord will bring it to pass God your evil Lord you're able Lord to rape you didn't bring me to this place to leave me Jesus you didn't come with me Oh God up to this point and then simply you're gonna back away from me no no I refuse to believe that but Lord you told me my family would receive the gift of the Holy Ghost the zeal of the Lord will perform it you let me to know Lord there is a ministry in a call on my life the zeal of the Lord will perform it Lord you've let me to know that you're on my side and whatever the darkness or situation is the zeal of the Lord can come through it all I want you to take some time right now of prayer wherever you are I want you to allow the spirit of an Almighty God to come in and touch your life come on some of y'all need to pray that back to the Lord you said you would do it and with an enthusiastic desire you endeavor Lord to let it be complete in me because your zeal will bring it to pass I refuse to be denied I'm not going to give up on this I believe it with a passion Lord I will see my loved ones pray through to the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues I'm gonna see it the zeal of the Lord is gonna bring it I do believe God that in the midst of all of this going on that victory comes because the zeal of the Lord is going to perform it find you a place of prayer right there in front of your screen just kneel down it's okay get a hold of the loved ones around you and begin to pray with them come on you pray by communicating with the father you you just talk to him like you would your friends Jesus I love you and I believe in you Jesus I trust you in my heart reaches for you even right now because the zeal of the Lord is that my home is blessed and that my family be taken care of come on that's right pray wherever you are right now call upon the name of the Lord he can be found right now spirit of the Living God I pray right now into every family into every home into every job and every hospital room wherever the people of God are right now Lord I believe you that you're gonna reach to them dispatch angels Lord to go to them and let the word of god unfold right before their eyes we pray together we bind together in the name of Jesus take the next half hour or so pray come on let the Word of God work in your life we're gonna pray with you right now we're gonna believe with you right now we're gonna trust that God is gonna do a work in your life if you've got situations going on don't hesitate contact the unfold in your life because the zeal of the Lord will accomplish what it's supposed to do take some time to pray right now
