Thy Will Be Done

would you pray with me right now Lord one more time we worship we love you Lord we pray we we believe in your Lord for great things we trust your Lord right now you are the mighty God you are the everlasting father you are the Prince of Peace your Jehovah God your the wheel in the middle of a wheel you are the sweet Rose of Sharon you are the bright Lord you are the bride and morning the star and today we love you again Lord I make myself available to you I am thankful Lord God that your spirit and your word is in this house Lord Jesus lead us today we want to hear from you we want to hear from you Jesus in Jesus name come on somebody breathe that name Jesus yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus somebody say in Jesus name so glad you're here today turn to your neighbor and say God is in the house his word is here we're gonna hear from him a man you may be seated if you feel like you need to again to our singers musicians thank you all so much to our Sunday School teachers kids church amen to all of you guys involved in the kingdom the Lord bless you to our guests that are here welcome we're honored that you've come today thankful that you're worshiping the Lord with us praise God how many understand what the daily grind is so when you get up in the morning you put coffee beans in well it could be could be in our generation and the the culture in which we live we get up in the morning we take off to work or to school it's anybody in here do the best that you can do come on kids this is time for you to let your parents know you're doing the best you can't raise your hand no okay some of you doing the best you can do you're yeah you're simply learning how to deal with the other people you know who they are right they don't know how to drive they don't know what they're talking about who they are but the days in life life happens to every single one of us and I reference this often in my in the word that the Lord gives me because I don't ever want us to forget that that none of us are walking on clouds today it's okay if occasionally you feel something bump past you as somebody goes by I will let you know it is not their wings it is not their halo it might be their helmet and I'm joking but every one of us choose life because the other end of life is yes not nobody likes to talk about death no nobody wants to talk about that ugly word death if you will nobody wants to sit in the bed at night and read a good novel about dying do we we don't want our kids to lay down we read them a bedtime story and it's all about dying in fact most of us have changed our night prayer and if I die before our wait we change that and said lord I file like everything when I'm awake or something like that cuz cuz we don't want we don't want our kids to be afraid of that anybody hearing that some again I realize we're from all walks of life all ages but does anybody know what a bucket-list is does anyone have a bucket list does anybody even care what a bucket list is stay with me a bucket list that's the list of things for those who are interested in the definition that is a list of things that you would like to experience or to accomplish before you kick the bucket there you go some of y'all got revelation today yeah now does anybody know we're kicking the bucket phrase came from that's a cool term kick the bucket now I'll give you there several translations or several bits of history but but the one that that makes sense if you will when when you consider kicking the bucket it actually comes out of the 16th century phrase that a butcher would use when an animal was to be slaughtered at a butcher shop for an example the top post above the tables that the butcher used to process the meat the the pig the cowl and whatever it was that they were processing that big beam across the top was called a bucket and and that bucket is where they would string up those animals and they would put them there and from that they would cut and they would process and and do what they do and that is where the animal would be hung and the last thing that a butcher would see when the animal was hanging their upside down was the animal kicking the bucket kicking the bucket now we all know 2007 there was a movie came out about the bucket list and therefore a lot of people folk ever have this understanding that they watched that therefore they got a list of stuff like I don't know a sip lining brother Stewart or one of those crazy things like hang gliding I have somebody that used to live in my house that wants to jump out of an airplane y'all stop don't encourage her that's what she wanted for her birthdays for the last several years and my wife and I just calmly said okay that's not gonna happen we will not pay that ticket but the fact of the matter is the bucket list that's that's a formulated term and there's things that probably you and I before we get to that death if you will before we get to that final state there's some things that that we want to do now we all live our lives in here according to what we require some of you don't even understand what I'm about to say and I'm sorry but some of you don't need morning coffee but others do I won't add don't have to look around look around but that's what you require see I knew that would happen some of you even in here have the audacity for your life to to exist you need to take a shower in the mornings everybody say man some of you eat breakfast some of you don't some of you eat them the noon meal some of you take afternoon walks some of you spend the evening time with the family you do clothes you make sure they're clean some of y'all even have put into your routine a time called vacation where you go and spend a few days somewhere else wasting money to come back and take a break I understand that it's what is needed for you to sustain yourself there's braces that the kids are gonna need on their teeth and so you do what you got to do to make sure they get it all of these things and I can go on and on with this list a portion of what we feel in our individual lives to live the best life that we simply can we understand if you will young folk this may be strange to you but there are people who actually depend on us how many understand the word responsibility go ahead two hands you're gonna need a lord help me with the responsibility so you go the extra mile there's probably not a mother in here that would fix a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for their child with the minimal list of things on it see I like to make my own sandwiches Seth because I understand what is required for me to enjoy the sandwich you don't use two pieces of bread you use three don't shake your own tongue out and the peanut butter goes on thick the jelly the piece the jelly the peanut butter and the other piece you all go home and tried aren't you and then what you do before you get the glass of milk out is you mash it that way it fits see that's the requirement the truth of the matter is if you were left to your own devices and the way that you wanted to do things you could probably get along with a whole lot less as an individual but because life has settled in on you you now have the responsibility for others therefore you work harder I mean I'm talking about therefore you make adjustments instead of you getting the new shoes the child gets it or the wife gets it or you got to put tires on the car whatever it happens to be you make adjustment you grow you learn and then you wake up one day stay with pasture for just a moment you wake up one day and you figure out that things in your life are moving very very rapidly and then there's this reflection of where you begin to to consider the path that you're on and you begin to readjust some priorities in your life you know I remember when I had babies in the house things were different the formula the diapers the wipes the the things that you had to buy the the mountains and mountains of clothes you had to wash that that was required it was what you had to do but now that we were empty nesters I walk around the house and say I like everything where it's at my wife says honey I threw a load of laundry in if you get time today will you put them in the dryer and I'm like hey nobody mean what's in the dryer and she'll come up empty masters say men you don't talk about all right whatever all I know is I've made adjustments and I'm growing why because priorities change you understand that in your life things will not always be the same you come to a point in your life where you consider things you just think about things I was once told by my father-in-law believe it or not my father-in-law said you know when when the babies are young mom and dad you're spending all your effort and energy and trying to raise the child trying to provide for the child and you you don't spend a whole lot of time getting to enjoy all the little things and then he said grandparenting happens and you get to see the tooth you get to now notice the hair over the years you get to now see it when they fall down and get up you get to now see those little details that as parents you may or may not see and as grandparents come on brother Jerry we're yeah as grandparents you understand that things change and things begin to adjust themselves and you hurry up as you get older and you begin to decide there are some things that I would like to do before I kick the bucket it is a noble yet many times it's an attitude that comes late for some because you've spent a life of worried about things that you really couldn't do anything about you have feverishly fretted about situations hours and hours of sleeplessness and and the waters or the shooter's or the Cooter's visit you often and you'd say man if I would have just but now I can't go back there's no way to turn back the clock the what-ifs and the wonderings about it but life has happened and now you're position to ponder the predicament that you're in and to considers the consider the ways that you have lived and it's something happens as you get older and some call it mid life crisis and now what do you do at what what do you do well how do you handle that stay with me for just a moment at what point do you begin to look at things in a different light I stand here today not to discuss bad choices not to gripe about how things could have been better in my life or different I'm simply standing here today to present to you a point of view that looks very differently and basically the point of view that I would like to present to you is heavens perspective on your life might it be that God simply is in control of what's happening in your world is it possible that his purpose and plan are actually working in the lives of humanity every day are there steps that we take that we are taking of a chance on what we know but God is saying in himself I know what you're doing and I have this under control what roads have you traveled and what steps have you taken to get you to the point where you are right now I've come to encourage somebody to realize God has been God the entire time his plan is working even when you can't see it nor understand it God knows exactly what he's doing let me allow me a moment to take you to Acts chapter number 13 I want to read to you a portion of Scripture acts 13 and 35 wherefore he saith also in another Psalm thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption for David this is verse 36 after he had served his own generation by the will of God fell on sleep was laid unto his father's and saw corruption 37 but he whom God raised again saw no corruption be it known unto you therefore men and brethren that through this man is the truth this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins and by him all that we believe are justified from all things from which he could not be justified by the law of Moses verse 40 beware therefore less that that come upon you which is spoken of in the prophet behold he despisers and Wonder and perish for I work a work in your days a work which he shall in no wise believe though a man declare it unto you reading here how that was written by the author David came and served his generation as a king but the man died one day and went into a tomb he was the man that is considered to have run after God's own heart but he died went into the ground his bones were there but then there was a man called Jesus who also came and lived on planet Earth but he did indeed die but something about this man Jesus was different because on the third day he came out of the grave as he said he would Jesus preached in this day is the same Jesus talked about in the scriptures he came for forgiveness of sins he came to bring salvation to humanity and Jesus brought it to each and every one of you understand please the law of Moses was put into effect so that the sins of man could be dealt with but o the man Jesus came on the scene and today I declare he has the power he has the ability he can do anything he is the word of God made flesh and the writer of the book of Acts in it it's declared to you its declared and preaching its declared in teaching yet you don't believe it therefore your worries and your fret and you wonder and you're afraid and you're scared how's this ever gonna make sense how is it ever gonna be applied to my life where the plan and the purpose of God is doing its work in my life I've come to declare to somebody that if you believe the Word of God it will be fulfilled in your life you don't have to wonder about your grandparents or great-grandparents you don't need to concern yourself about who did or who did not you're the one who has to make the decision I believe in an old rugged cross I believe I believe forgiveness of sins it's found in the blood of Jesus I believe that I'm a new creature because of the blood of Jesus I can understand despisers it's mentioned you wonder about the words of the Bible you wonder if they're really necessary for today the truth of the matter is yes they are God is working a work in the day in which we live you've got to understand that what Paul and his companion as they travel the many miles as they went from town to town and accomplished what God was leading him to do that Paul brought a word of salvation to the people yet there was doubt and there was fear Jesus had done so many wonderful miracles and there were great signs that were accomplished among the people yet there was also an amazing amount doubt I spoke to you earlier concerning a bucket list and maybe we've all got that but in the book of Romans allow me to read something to you that was again written to one of the churches Romans chapter number nine verse number 14 what shall we say then is there unrighteousness with God god forbid for he saith to Moses I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion so then it is not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth but of God that she with mercy verse 17 for the scripture saith unto Pharaoh even for this same purpose have I raised thee up that I might shew my power India and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy on whom He will Harden is interesting here how that the rider to the Church of Rome says it this way God even raised up Pharaoh God even knew there would be a pharaoh it was not a hat Oh somebody gotta hear preacher today it was not just like somebody came on the scene and messed up God's plan no friend God knew exactly what Pharaoh was doing he put him there he had no inkling of wearing a friend with the frogs or the lice or the locus of the blood he knew exactly what he was doing he wasn't afraid of the future nor the past but it was God who said Pharaoh I put you there for this reason I want your heart to be hardened to come against my people why because he will have mercy upon whom he wants to have mercy he will have compassion upon who he wants to have compassion you got to understand that he is the distributor of his will put Pharaoh into a position simply to accomplish his will so that his plan could work according to his pleasure today I submit to you Matthew chapter 6 verse number 9 notice notice notice this is this is a series of verses that everybody probably has in your heart you probably got it in your memory bank it could be that if you've been around church any length of time at all or if you've got a plaque hanging on your wall that there's this sign or this particular series of verses that's there in Matthew 6:9 after this manner therefore pray ye Jesus has been asked by his followers would you teach us to pray would you lead us would you let us find out what prayer is about would you give us like like John did his followers and just show us give us the wisdom we need to pray help us therefore Jesus says in Matthew 6 and 9 in your red-letter addition these are red words our Father come on if you know it say it with me which art in heaven hallowed be thy name he buddy ever heard these words before this is Jesus instructing those who want to know him this is Jesus leading them into this prayer listen when you pray when you pray when you talk to me when you get on your knees when you bow your head when you clasp your hands when you're kneeling by your bed when you're up in the morning or late at night later whatever it is our Father which art in heaven can somebody help me how it be thy name verse 10 help me by kingdom come thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread anybody help me and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever amen what you first gotta understand about the things of God his will has got to be done his kingdom has got to be in its place you've got a realize if you're a child of God the will of God is being accomplished in your life therefore when you pray you establish it will be done you gotta make it a priority on your bucket list you've gotta decide in the morning I'm gonna serve him and I want his wheel to be a to me today you gotta lay your head on a pillow at night and snuggle up under your blanket say enough I want your will to be accomplished in me tonight you gotta know that his mercy can come to you his forgiveness can happen in you why because you submit to his will and you allow it to be done in your life there are some sitting under the sound of this voice right now and life has dealt you a tough hand and you feel like that it's unfair you didn't ask for it and there's no way but you should have to survive it and we get into a mentality if you will allow me in 2019 that's called entitlement don't they know who I am don't they don't they realize if there's a special interest group for that and if I'm not comfortable with it or if I feel like I've been overstepped then I have the right to simply step out and say listen friend you got to know something that when you're born there's something that's happening from that day I said it I think last week that the day you're born death is beginning to happen in your life why because that is the cycle all of us want to live to be 108 million give or take but I'm finding out in my life as I grow older that word used to be wisdom all of a sudden now is simple experience well I don't know if I climb that tree they ain't a bit of wisdom in it my experience says I'm gonna die so guess what I don't do brother Daniel get out the tree see some of y'all y'all do that some get away with it I remember what it was like to have a number L in my hand and jump out of a tree thinking I was gonna fly I did fly I did I did I defied gravity and when I hit the ground as fast as I could that umbrella collapsed and I laid there said look at ya that's me I don't know why my arms like that right now don't know what happened to it and now that I get older you know I hear old people old Tom say man I wish I had that inner they got and I don't with this body I break in half expect me to run around in circles flop on the ground a roller and they happening to me unless the Lord's doing it stay with me there's got to be priorities that you establish what I'm challenging this younger generation to realize is this is that even as a young person God is working in your life listen to me young folk when there was a bunch of kids up here just a few moments ago praying for another kid you know what God was doing God was saying they don't even realize the power they don't even understand the authority nor the anointing but if they'll truly believe that I can work in them even as a child something's gonna happen in there something's gonna transpire in them and I can begin to develop something in them listen friend I tell you many times I would much rather trust the prayer of a young child who hasn't already been conditioned and already been in a position to establish that you know God you might not and you know God you may not and you know God if it's your will this but I'm just asking you to work on this and then all of a sudden we get all the fear and all the tremblings to happen and we're standing there getting prayed for and we've heard everybody's praying were standing there remind God never mind but a baby can walk up to you a young child could come up against you and then put their hand on you Jesus all I know is you love me Jesus all I know is that you bless my dog and my cat I know yesterday Lord I got a glass of milk all I know God is you can touch and you can heal and you can do a work in this person's life even if they can't believe it I'm believing you for it I don't understand how or why or the wine arts or the work force I don't have all of the biblical versions down I haven't gone through seminary to understand theologies and speakings of the word but one thing I know is that I have a faith that says in the name of Jesus there is all power in the name of Jesus there is all authority in the name of Jesus there is an anointing and it bypasses every single thing in the world therefore I stand here today I declare to you my god is away maker my God is a deliverer my God can do all things whether you believe it or not the best thing for you to do is move to the top of your list I'll believe God whether it's good or bad I'll believe him in the wonderful and when in the woe is me I'll trust him when I don't know what else to do I'll honor him I'll put my kids in his hand I'll let my wife be in his hands I'll put my job in his hands I'll believe him why because I want his will to be accomplished in me teach us to pray then pray like this our Father which art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done preacher sometimes it's uncomfortable yeah he knows that he knows that sometimes I don't have the solution yeah he's aware of that too sometimes I I don't know what to say yeah he knows that too the fact of the matter is it's when Jesus instructed his followers you want to know how to pray you really want to know how to get in touch with him then you first of all identify Who I am and who you are not our Father which is in heaven before I go any further before I take a step of faith doubt fear whatever it is hallow it holy Reverend is your name before I ask for anything thy kingdom come and I will be done on earth there's not many of us that would go to heaven or even consider it if heaven were just like earth but I declare there's a reason that we're excited about heaven is because there will be no pain there'll be no more tears there'll be no sorrow there there'll be no wailing in wonder we'll all stand in his power and presence and in his light we will be enveloped there's no sense to have lightbulbs in a place where there is a constant light in all positions and directions there's no reason for shadows you won't need the coolness of a shadow you won't need to understand the past you will simply stand in his presence which is light but standing there in that place called heaven you will know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you made choices to get you there every single person has to understand the power of an altar you got to realize that your sin separates you from the love of God sin he wants to love you his hands reach to you but the sin he's dealt with it's called repentance it's that power to say I'm walking in this direction that's got me so caught up in sin and junk and garbage and I'm going this way and all the while God is everywhere reaching for me and want me to turn but there's something that I have to decide if I continue down this path of sin it's going to destroy me because the payday of sin the wage of sin is death and when I'm dead and gone there's no way to get back over and make everything new but my bucket list is done it's done but there's something that can happen I can repent the simple word is in about-face I'm so sorry I need you Jesus in my life I've tried on my own I made so many mistakes I failed you I've done things Lord that brings such dishonor to my name and to my family and those around me and I'm so sorry for it please please would you forgive me and in the power of repentance you can turn about and begin making your way that is the will of God for all of you and then he says come on stand with me would you then there's the understanding that salvation only comes by his name the path that leads to him has to be his way nobody in here can write your own ticket you didn't write the way it's supposed to be done you're not an author to be able to have your life turn out the way you want without the consequence sure if you want to live like a devil here on earth fine then you got to know there's the consequence but if you submit repent turn around come back let God change your life let his name be applied to your life and baptism there remitting and washing away of those sins then you're become a new creature and because of that he's generous and kind enough to say I will fill you with my spirit therefore when you walk from that point forward your walking by yourself to your own devices but my spirit is in you lady how will I know your spirits there how will I really know it got into hard times in the difficult time in the problems and all the issues of life you're gonna know because I'm gonna speak through you and the evidence is gonna be in your life and you're gonna feel that check it's not gonna be a I feel better right now because I went through these steps no it's gonna be because without a shadow of a doubt the Spirit of God will confirm itself why do I need all that I'm gonna tell you why because you just came out of a place of darkness and dread what makes you think you won't get back there unless you've got a supernatural spirit helping you and leading you has anybody here ever sinned ever messed up sure we all have we've come short haven't we but that doesn't mean you're destroyed there's a blood of a saviour that's applied to your life and his spirit can work in your life I would submit to somebody standing here today under the sound of my voice it's time to read look at your bucket list it's time to relook it before you kick the bucket if you were it's time to relook Lord I've gotta move to the top I've got a walk in newness of life I've gotta have your name apply to my life I've got to be forgiven of the sins that I've committed I've got to know that I know that I know that salvation has come in your name and your will is accomplished in my life why because salvation comes in his hand priests of spit in presence of the Lord is in his spirit Healing happens with his blood I've come to ask somebody today will you let the will of God be fulfilled in your life right now I want you to close your eyes throw your head up lift your hands to heaven everybody and begin to talk to them Jesus I need you come on somebody right now Jesus I believe in you Lord I know that you're real I don't understand all about you I don't have it all figured out but one thing I know is that you have a plan for my life and I refuse to walk through this life that leads me to death only to Passover in death and not realize that hell is real and that heaven is even real but Lord right now I choose to make a choice that leads me to you die will be done in my life right now this altars open I want to invite somebody you want to come and oh Jesus you want to come and fall in love with him come on this altar is the best place to bring your sacrifice come on this all through this place it's a great place to bring your life your sin your garbage your stuff and simply lay it down what I give it to you I can no longer handle it I right now I make a choice and I want to know your Lord you allow me into your presence lord I do that by yielding myself to you come on there's others in here you need to come come on you need to find a place to pray you need to begin a call on the name of the Lord call on the name of the Lord the name of Jesus come from your lips because there is no other name given among men whereby you must be saved it is the name of Jesus come on where's my prayer warriors would you come and help me today would you come to an altar and help me pray the name of Jesus come on sing some brothers wrong come on worship the Lord together God's doing a work in people's life right now yes I love your Lord I trust you Jesus I believe in you holy God yeah come on the will of God accomplished in your life that's right pray come on young folk call on the name of the horse come on mom and dad call the name of Jesus I need you I want your will to be done in my life Jesus what your will to be accomplished in me today I want to know beyond a shadow your word Lord is working in my life your will accomplish hallelujah Holly come on my tribe reach out to Jesus I surrender to you I need you Jesus I gave it come on would you reach over pray for somebody close that's right come on pray for something bind together with them in the name of Jesus the name of Jesus all the honor all the door all the Majesty all the excellent all the perfectness continues Jesus yeah I oh yes yes yes yes yes I love you Jesus I worship you lord come on the classic picture will be done for guys there will be a compass I want you to understand something God's playing for your life it's bigger than you can imagine if you're trying to do it on your own you're gonna fall so short but the excellence of God the dreams and the plans and a will of God for your life far out seen what you could do before you go home today I'd like all across this room every hand lifted hi come on every hand lifted high let praise come out of your mouth right now lord I love you and I want your will to be accomplished in you know my plans Lord you know but the future is God you know what I'm trying to do you know what I'm trying to accomplish but lord I I give it to you and and I ask for thy will to be done in me Lord you know the path you know the road you understand it it's all you God you are here before anything you'll be here after everything I just simply Lord want to yield it to you hey there's a lot of things in life that we don't understand there right a lot of things in our lives that don't make a lot of sense maybe come here buddy and sometimes lives terrible and there ain't no way we would choose that but I found out this week that somebody needed a Bible somebody needed God's Word God had somebody in place to give it to him there ain't no way that I would have chose that but God knows so even in darkness God is so light his will is accomplished in all things there's no way that we could comprehend that we can simply trust his hand I surrender all to you Jesus I surrender it all to you Jesus I surrender it all to you Jesus once your will will be done in my life I want your will to be accomplished in my heart I want my family to love and serve your Lord thy will be done thy will be done thy will be done get up closer somebody right now we're gonna pray our dismissal we're gonna pray one for another come on get close to somebody lift their hand to heaven if you put your arm on and if it's appropriate Jesus thy kingdom come thy will be done Lord you know you know you know you know you know I pray Lord for every heart in every home every family that's represented in this room right now I pray God that your anointing would rest upon each one of them feel their homes with joy and gladness in the name of Jesus bless him on their jobs Lord go with them God as they go about their daily lives Lord let them find you in every corner they turn in every step they take I plead your blood over each one of them anoint their witness Lord as they reach to others let their testimony be heard what you have done and accomplished in each one I plead your blood Lord over every family that's represented here today that the Word of God be truth in our lives we're gonna leave this place today rejoicing binding together Lord with our brothers and sisters in faith believing that your will to be done we're gonna come back this week rejoicing in your Lord loving you thanking you for all things you are God you are God you are God we love you and exalt you in the name of Jesus somebody say in Jesus name come on in Jesus thing I love all of you I'm so glad you came today god bless each of you shake hands be friendly hug somebody's neck if it's appropriate tell him how much you love him and how much you care about him you're dismissed in the love of God
